Speaker 3 (02:23):
Roger, are you jumping in on this? What I said
did not.
Speaker 4 (02:27):
Go on the here, Okay, all right now you know, now,
you know we come back the next break.
Speaker 3 (02:32):
He's gonna use that, all right.
Speaker 1 (02:33):
Twenty seven Robert the Hall of Fame, dB and Fox
Sports Radio, NFL And here Rod.
Speaker 3 (02:40):
We haven't talked to him. Wait did we talk to
him since Lamar?
Speaker 5 (02:44):
No?
Speaker 3 (02:44):
Did we We didn't get in there. Yeah, right now,
we just don't to talk to us. That's what he
was sitting there. He was always he was sitting in Hawaii, like,
I don't want to talk to him right now?
Speaker 4 (02:55):
Man, thank it. No, Rob, We'll look forward to talk
to Rod here in a few minutes. Rod's great a right,
So we only get back to the Chiefs. Obviously, the
Chiefs get to win over the Bills thirty two to
twenty nine, and then a great game. I mean obviously
if the Eagles and Chiefs is anything like that, as
far as just a good game, close game, competitive game,
both teams had a chance to win.
Speaker 3 (03:16):
It ultimately would be the Chiefs. You would look forward
to that.
Speaker 4 (03:18):
But everybody, how you know, obviously coming out of that
has to have their thing pieces of what was what
we saw. And one of the takeaways for me, Rob
Parker was Patrick Mahomes has already done so much so
in seven years. It's just absolutely ridiculous. And the conversation
starts to become like, well, who is he? We had
one on Friday? Who are his rivals? Who can we compare?
(03:40):
It's just game is Josh Allen have to win to
be considered a rival of his? And at this point,
Patrick Mahomes is Kevin McAllister home alone, and I'll explain
what I mean. Kevin McCallister had this big, old, huge,
nice house to himself, rooming, beautiful little mini mansion all
(04:00):
to himself.
Speaker 3 (04:01):
And you know who's trying to get in.
Speaker 4 (04:02):
Harry and Marv we're trying to break in, and that
is Lamar and Josh. They're trying to break in, They're
trying to get in the room. They're trying to have
a piece of that McAllister mansion. And you know what
Patrick Mahomes keeps doing, defending his house, which is raining
on top, defending his home, which is being the Super
Bowl champ. And he keeps kicking out the guys that
we keep saying these are his rivals, these are his
(04:25):
peer groups, and he keeps saying, no, they're not. They're
not his peer groups. Josh Allen. Yeah, you're four and
one in the regular season. But guess when it matters most,
you're owing three and he knows it. Lamar Jackson owing
four now, Lamar Jackson, Uh huh, you ain't even get
to you boy.
Speaker 3 (04:43):
You lost to Josh Allen, who loses to me regularly.
Speaker 4 (04:46):
And he gets to these games, he wins these games,
he makes keep plays, has a chance to win three
Super Bowls in a row now, and it just starts
to become again like Kevin McAllister, whatever you.
Speaker 3 (04:58):
Guys will doing.
Speaker 4 (04:58):
You try to break in through the dark, knoy, you
can't get it. You try to come through the window,
get out, try to come through the basement, can't get in.
And that's Josh and that's Lamar. The two guys we
keep trying to put in his in his you know, realm,
and he just keeps not letting them in. And it's
just been remarkable to see because they're so talented. Lamar
is probably gonna win his third or if not, that
means Josh won his first MVP and he just somehow
(05:20):
sits at the top of the throne. And this season,
as you've continuously mentioned, and I've even said.
Speaker 3 (05:25):
This what he knows. He said it.
Speaker 4 (05:27):
It's won a great year for him, solid year, good
year for most players, but not for him. And yet
he got it done with it mattered most. He outran
Josh Allen, he outplayed Josh Allen by far, and now
here he is going to another super Bowl, his annual destination.
And I just think it's remarkable that two guys or
this great and Lamar and Josh could mess around and
(05:49):
not get one on his watch. And that's why people
say he's short. It ain't just the spectacular players like.
Speaker 3 (05:54):
They're so extreme.
Speaker 1 (05:56):
And I think when you look at his career, how
much many more years he has, I just think it's
a prisoner of the moment.
Speaker 4 (06:03):
Let me tell you now, let's take real quick, real quick,
real quick. My only point is you're right good that
we saw the duration of Jordan. My only point is
one of the things that Jordan is also known for
is who didn't win on his watch, and that was
John Stockton Malone. Gary Payton ultimately won, but not on
Jordan's watch. Uh, Reggie Miller didn't win on his watch.
Patrick Gowing didn't win all because Charles Barkley, one of
(06:24):
the all time greats. These guys did not win on
Mike's watch. And if Keen Mike don't leave, Keen might
not have.
Speaker 3 (06:31):
Got a couple.
Speaker 4 (06:32):
So I'm not saying he's as the duration the long
of Mike's full career. I'm watching two of the great
quarterbacks not be able to do anything currently on his clock.
Speaker 1 (06:40):
That's why I'm seat. But when you mentioned Michael Jordan,
he didn't win his first six years. So both of
those guys are underneath that threshold. So so that even
that doesn't stand water because Mike didn't win right away Mike.
It took Mike six years right before he was able
to win.
Speaker 3 (06:58):
We're saying Patt is in the Mike mona.
Speaker 5 (07:01):
No.
Speaker 3 (07:01):
But here's the other part.
Speaker 1 (07:02):
Even with all of winning Tom Brady, did Tom Brady
win nine nine years without winning another Super Bowl? So
this could be a mix starting with the loss in
the Super Bowl for Patrick Mahomes where he might go okay,
And that's what I talk about with his career because
it's it's front loaded. It's front I mean it's front loaded,
(07:24):
and it's not a knock. It is just front loaded.
Now will you look at him differently? And we talked
about this. If say he loses, he doesn't get the
three peat, and this is all hypotheticals, that's what you're
talking about.
Speaker 3 (07:39):
He loses the.
Speaker 1 (07:40):
Super Bowl and then doesn't win the next seven or
eight years, Andy Ree retires. You know, the team goes
through someone and they don't win, or they get there.
Maybe they just don't win. Not saying they fall off
the map, but they just don't win. And now you're
looking up and he's played fifteen years and he hasn't
win rings.
Speaker 3 (07:57):
And he hasn't won in eight years.
Speaker 1 (08:00):
Okay, And it just depends because I can look at
John Elway, who was looked at one way, and then
he wins his last two years, and the way people
look at John Elway totally flipped because he went out
on a winning note.
Speaker 3 (08:18):
So if you're Lamar, you didn't.
Speaker 1 (08:21):
Win in first few years whatever, Okay, And now you
win that third MVP and you win another one and
now you win.
Speaker 3 (08:30):
Two super Bowls.
Speaker 1 (08:30):
Now you start to look and go, okay, Patrick won
three super Bowls and has how many MVPs? Rob G
two two, Lamar one is two and zero in a
Super Bowl and has four MVPs. Then you start to
look differently depending on how the finishes. The start is great,
(08:53):
there's no if, hands or butts, but it's too early
to really be able to say but because I'm just
saying there was a stretch, but nobody would tell you
about the Brady. Nobody remembers those nine years, nine years.
Speaker 4 (09:08):
But the thing is near that for Patrick Mahomes, meaning
all we've had is this seven year run of ridiculous. No no,
we're getting saying, yeah, that's insane what he's been able
to do, where he literally the only thing he knows
is getting to an AFC championship.
Speaker 3 (09:23):
But if he loses.
Speaker 1 (09:24):
But if he loses, that could be the start of
what we're talking about. And that's that's what I'm trying
to say, is that just as easily as he's won
these and I mean and I mean it, you could
you could have a drought a part of your career
and it doesn't mean that you're not good or your
team or all the things that have gone your way.
Things don't happen, and now all of a sudden you're
(09:45):
on the back end and and six seven, eight years,
nobody could have told me that when Aaron Rodgers won
a Super Bowl in twenty ten that he wouldn't get back.
I hear you nobody, but I no, no, nobody, And
I could give you. I could give you other players
Dan Marino in Miami when they went to the Super Bowl.
Nobody would have sat there and told you he would
(10:07):
go back. You would never go back. That was his
second year in the league.
Speaker 3 (10:10):
He was young.
Speaker 1 (10:11):
Don Shulo was his coach. How in the world did
he not get back to another Super Bowl? It didn't happen.
But here's the thing. So everything you said is great.
Speaker 4 (10:19):
If I'm playing Miss Cleo and I'm coming back, and
you know saying, hey, here's what's gonna happen in the future,
all I'm saying is literally right now. Patrick Mahomes has
done an insane listen, dude. Three championships, going for four,
possibly three in a row. Six Pro Bowls, three All Pros,
two MVPs, one Offensive Player of the Year, three Super
(10:40):
Bowl MVPs. That's insane. That run is insane. And again
it's the guys he's keeping out. Lamar Jackson's has had
an insane career. He is twenty four and two against
the NFC. Like he has stats possibly that are like
he he can't get to the Super Bowl. Josh Allen
has been ridiculous his career, but watch says he's gonna
start to look like I covered Michael Jordan during that
(11:03):
it was the same thing.
Speaker 1 (11:04):
People were like, Oh, Jordan is a great individual player,
he doesn't make anybody better.
Speaker 3 (11:10):
He can't win.
Speaker 1 (11:11):
I'm trying to tell you I saw this first hand.
Speaker 4 (11:14):
So but all I'm saying, right, you're what you're doing
is Michael Jordan's circa say, nineteen eighty nine, right, eighty
eighty Like, no, he's I get it, but he's not
he's not making better. What I'm saying is I'm watching
magic and saying I ain't never seen nothing like this before,
where I'm saying you might be right about what might
happen and Josh Allen turned out, but I'm saying, for
(11:35):
what I've seen right now, it's ridiculous.
Speaker 1 (11:38):
I'm just saying the story isn't written all the way
and that's what you And then that's the point that
I bring up John Elway and other people because there
were people who I'm sure when John Elway were blown
out in his first three super Bowl thought John said.
Speaker 3 (11:52):
He can't win.
Speaker 1 (11:53):
John Ello, he can't win the big min He'll never Why.
Speaker 3 (11:56):
Do you want me to go? Why?
Speaker 1 (11:57):
Now?
Speaker 4 (11:57):
Look at his crystal ball right now? Just why I
for can't I look at what I just have been seeing.
Speaker 1 (12:03):
What I'm saying is I don't think the story's written yet,
and it could start on but it on the Super
Bowl Sunday. If he loses that way, can.
Speaker 3 (12:11):
We get there? We ain't even in New Orleans yet.
Speaker 1 (12:13):
I told you the lines you're gonna lose, and I'm
gonna tell you that the Chiefs are gonna it's gonna
be better for them to lose.
Speaker 3 (12:18):
Arrek Robgy.
Speaker 4 (12:19):
He just took me through a seven minute walk just
to get that part right there. All I want to
talk about is what the heck we have seen? We
got two weeks to go up to this. You are
ready to make the man lose and already told me
he gonna go on a nine year I could not
hear your drought. I'm trying to tell you what he's
done in less than nine years. You're telling me about
the future nine years. Patrick mahomes is, Kevin McCallister keeping out,
(12:42):
Harriet Mars Theyn.
Speaker 3 (12:44):
Keep coming back. How many home Aloans were like.
Speaker 2 (12:45):
Four of them.
Speaker 4 (12:47):
They keep trying to add to get another kid, go
get a new mccauli cousta right now, that's what they
had to do, and he won't let them in. Lamar
and Josh, good luck. You'll get in eventually. But dang it,
they can't even they can't even win right now, got
it on lock protecting McAllister home. And it's just been
remarkable what he Andy Reid has run. I mean it
just I don't know if there's another team that, no
(13:08):
matter what you feel like, if they're down six with
the ball, they're gonna win, Ty Gaye, You're gonna win.
Like That's just where they have gotten he and Andy
Reid and the rest of that team. That's where the
place they've gotten to.
Speaker 1 (13:19):

A seven seven ninety nine on five.
Speaker 1 (14:42):
All right, let's go to Bruno and Brooklyn. You're on
They Couple of Fox Sports Radio.
Speaker 3 (14:47):
What's up?
Speaker 1 (14:47):
Bruno, gentlemen, good evening, Thank.
Speaker 6 (14:51):
You, great good, I'm good man. How you guys doing
going well?
Speaker 3 (14:54):
Brother? Thank you?
Speaker 6 (14:55):
Yes, We appreciate your freaking your show. We really do
love it here in Red. Hey, listen, Mahalmes is basically Jordan,
And all I'm going to say is this just like
Ewing Barkley Malone. He's gonna keep all these great quarterbacks
out of the championship circle. He's gonna take Lamar and
(15:15):
he's gonna take Allen and these guys down the road
for the next five years. I don't think you're gonna
get by him.
Speaker 3 (15:20):
See I disagree.
Speaker 1 (15:21):
I think that you're I think if you've really been honest,
watch the team, the luck that has happened for them,
the things that have gone their way, especially the last
two year. Patrick Mahomes Bruno hasn't gotten an All Pro
or MVP vote for a team that's gonna win, could
potentially win a couple of Super Bowls, and you could
(15:44):
just you look at the finished product, and you're always
on that. If he doesn't get the job done, you'll
start to say, well, you know what, they were kind
of lucky this year. These things kind of went their way,
and then you'll start to you'll start to take a
look backwards and go, yeah, they aren't really as strong
as they were just in the same team when he
won his.
Speaker 3 (16:03):
First Super Bowl, but didn't see him though. No, I'm
just dude. Literally was all of a sudden he became
the better runner than Josh Allen.
Speaker 1 (16:11):
All I'm just saying is very seldom does a team
go fifteen into in a quarterback.
Speaker 3 (16:16):
Is not the reason why I don't disagree with that
where you look at that hate him.
Speaker 1 (16:20):
That's what Michael Jordan. It was never Scottie Pippen, another,
never somebody else. And this is what I'm trying to
say to you, is that along the way the last
two years, it's mostly been about the defense. They have
the best team in the league. That's a compliment till
they won the Super Bowl.
Speaker 4 (16:36):
So Lamar and Josh that they've been that great that
he can just be solid to good win fifteen in
two and then demolished them in the postseason and looked
like Jordan the man was making in same plays last night.
It was throws out running Josh Allen, Josh Allen. If
y'all come up with a better touch, push Tony Romo
was telling them on air, whenever they do it, they
(16:58):
only go left, hike, go left.
Speaker 3 (17:00):
That's why they kept stopping him up?
Speaker 1 (17:01):
When was the other stat, rob G that there have
been eight uh roughing the passer penalties in there eight
no run or whatever, and all of them have gone
for the chiefs.
Speaker 3 (17:13):
Is that what it is? Rough in the passer? I
don't know.
Speaker 4 (17:16):
I just know you got Tayshaun Prince arms right now
as long as you out here reaching.
Speaker 3 (17:21):
No, I'm just rob G. Can you hear me, Robbie Rogie?
Speaker 5 (17:25):
Because I just told you know that's the stat that
you have found and I've never seen that.
Speaker 3 (17:29):
I thought you told me that today earlier. No, we
never talked about that.
Speaker 1 (17:33):
Yeah, there's like a there's like a pass rough in
the passers, like he's got eight of them.
Speaker 4 (17:39):
I mean, listen, chiefs, listen. The boy went to school
to draw in a flag. I ain't gonna hold you
up with that. Yeah, he's he's definitely gonna.
Speaker 5 (17:46):
Didn't you just say last week that Michael Jordan did
that too? Then he found the guy they would never
call it? Aren't you calling Michael Jordan in that regard
to I just said a soft whistle?
Speaker 1 (17:56):
No, I just said Michael Jordan's actually no, this is
gonna be like you're gonna have your face on the
ground like the Lions. Okay, this is what I want
you to mark this down because.
Speaker 4 (18:05):
You because I know I'm laughing at you not being
able to just say the dude was great.
Speaker 3 (18:12):
You know he ain't. Did he get flagged? He is
getting flat.
Speaker 1 (18:15):
Kenny, California, You're on the odd couple of Fox Sports Radio.
Speaker 3 (18:19):
What's up?
Speaker 4 (18:23):
Oh my gosh, I'm convinced. Hey, hey Ken, Ken, did the.
Speaker 3 (18:28):
MLB bro check cash? Yet you don't work for m
MLB Brown? What is it? MLB something? I need to know?
What is it? Ken?
Speaker 7 (18:36):
I'm not Charlie Sacramento, California.
Speaker 3 (18:42):
What you want to tell?
Speaker 8 (18:43):
What?
Speaker 4 (18:43):
Ken?
Speaker 1 (18:43):
Now?
Speaker 8 (18:43):
What?
Speaker 3 (18:44):
Ken? What? Ken? Patrick Mahomes is bad? Patrick Mahons is bad?
Speaker 7 (18:49):
Mahomet The last year you will hear about that quarterback
Stamp got to the Super Bowl with the lowest for Rady.
The lowis yards. Yes, Sir, Jesus came is up? Hey
d baby?
Speaker 1 (19:07):
ABC you later, is what we'll be saying to the
Chiefs after the Super Bowl.
Speaker 3 (19:12):
Kid ROGERI get his number so him and Rock can
console Kevin and Co. Super Bowl.
Speaker 1 (19:17):
You're in the ydd couple of the Fox Sportute.
Speaker 3 (19:19):
Somebody needs to consolet you. After the Lions shop to
the Washington I.
Speaker 4 (19:23):
Told you I can come in here on the day
after the stand up bitsiness.
Speaker 1 (19:26):
Did the Commanders give up fifty five points and then no? No,
the command gave fifty five points In the NFC Championship
game that the Lions were supposed to go to, the
Eagles just scored again. Okay, that's how bad you're in
the odd couple right now? Oh, Vin, I'm sorry, I know,
I just said, what.
Speaker 7 (19:46):
Play my last call?
Speaker 9 (19:48):
I said, Josh Allen is Reggie Miller and Patrick Mahomes
is Michael Jordan's.
Speaker 3 (19:53):
Josh, you did say that couple?
Speaker 4 (19:55):
I thought you wanted the Mike Tyson butt cheek play call.
That's what you're talking about, my bad.
Speaker 9 (20:00):
To be the best, you gotta beat the best. Josh
Allen said, If Patrick Mahomes is the goat, he's so.
Speaker 1 (20:05):
So if so, let me. If Jalen Hurts beats him,
is he the best?
Speaker 8 (20:09):
Now?
Speaker 9 (20:09):
If he beats you beat Patrick Mahons.
Speaker 3 (20:11):
No, that's not that's not the question. That's not the question.
Answer the question, Kevin, Answer the question. Okay, that's what
I'm asking. Okay, No, I ain't beath.
Speaker 9 (20:22):
Mahomes has the mobility. Tom Brady didn't have that mobility.
Patrick Mahomes, he like KETRICKA. Marri's like, you guys wanted
this album. You don't You don't think I could give
you this album? You don't think I could move?
Speaker 3 (20:31):
We squabble up, Ken Kevin tell him to squabble up.
Speaker 9 (20:35):
Busy, do the squabble up. He was sucking jut in
the end.
Speaker 7 (20:39):
Zone when he when he dips on those deals defenders.
Speaker 9 (20:41):
Like, you don't think I could run? Do you think
I don't think I can run?
Speaker 8 (20:43):
A dip on you like that?
Speaker 4 (20:44):
Yeah, that was the that might have been the worst
bike ever in history, Kevin. That was the one that
was his one bad throat bro.
Speaker 8 (20:50):
He does it all.
Speaker 9 (20:52):
He's Magic Mahomes, he's Michael Jordan and he's gonna be
the first quarterback to three peat in.
Speaker 7 (20:57):
The Super Bowl era.
Speaker 9 (20:59):
And Rob parks Lemon Pepper wet because Mahomes gets it done.
Speaker 1 (21:04):
You will, yeah, yes, all right, we'll see all right,
Thank you, Kevin, appreciate it.
Speaker 2 (21:09):

Speaker 4 (21:20):
Rod Woodson Hall of Fame dB, Fox Sports Radio, NFL
analysts glad to have you back.
Speaker 5 (21:25):
Rod.
Speaker 4 (21:25):
Last week, we know, Buddy Weather issues and all that stuff.
Rod Woodson twenty six on next What's up.
Speaker 8 (21:30):
Rod, What's going on with my brother?
Speaker 4 (21:33):
Well, Rob, we gotta start because we didn't get to
you last week. I almost want to play Boys to man,
it's so hard to say goodbye to or Although we
come to the end of the road, it.
Speaker 1 (21:41):
Was painful because they should have been playing last night
instead of the Bills, you know, But can we start
on the Mark Andrews just I mean, we could sit
here and talk about plays or whatever that has to
be caught.
Speaker 6 (21:56):
I mean no, yeah, no, it has he called.
Speaker 8 (22:00):
I mean, I mean obviously he's distraught about it, right,
but I really believe like coaches got got to get
a feel for who's hot, who's playing well, and if
you go through the game, you know Mark was you know,
he had a drop earlier, he had to punch out earlier.
So it was one of those games that, yeah, I know,
(22:22):
you try to give your one of your best receivers
and your veteran guys an opportunity to make all that up.
But then if you go back and look at how
how Isaiah Likely was catching the ball. He didn't drop
any caught one hand, caught a one hand, or sliding
down on his knee for a touchdown. You know. So
you know, I think to me, I would have gave
(22:43):
Likely that opportunity that Mark. But Mark has to catch
that ball. He knows that, and that's why I think
he's so distraught because he knows that was a great
opportunity for them. They get to the super Bowl, no doubt.
Speaker 4 (22:53):
Let me make sure hand it for so long. Let
me ask you this. We saw this last night too.
Speaker 1 (22:58):
Coaches who are going the two point conversion, the over
the extra points and if you take some of those
extra points at the end, you know what I mean,
you're you're you're winning the game or or whatnot. And
we saw it even in the Ravens game. Where are
you on that two point conversion? Because it seems, uh,
(23:18):
it seems to come back to bite people when they
either don't go for field goals or they don't go
for extra points rather than going for two point conversions.
Speaker 8 (23:26):
Yeah, you know, the crazy thing is is that you
go back and look at all the aggressive coaches this
past year, going forward on too, going forward on fourth down,
they were in the postseason, most of them, right they
were in the postseason. They were they had their teams there.
The problem I do have with it is that I
(23:48):
get the analytics part of it, but the other part
if you go back and look and you look at
the other side of it, because they give you analytics
of if you make it, the probability that wins, but
if you miss it, the probability because it's normally, if
the probability of you making it, say it's a two
point or getting getting getting the fourth down conversion, the
(24:11):
percentage on it goes up like two to three, three
and a half percent. But if you miss it, the
probability of you losing goes up even more than that.
It goes up like seven eight percent. So the probability
is always hired to lose than to win. But coaches
are you know, their gamblers. They want to do it.
It's got it doesn't hasn't been hurting them during the
(24:33):
regular season, but it can come back to haunt you,
just like we saw in that game with Buffalo is
that if they would have taken those extra points, they
had have been right there.
Speaker 4 (24:45):
Yeah one again, Rob Woodson, our guest, Rob, let me
ask you this. I still want to stay with that game.
Bill's chiefs. When you look at what Patrick Mahomes and Andy
Reid have. One of the things Jesse is gifted, He's talented,
But one of the things is how how prepared they are.
Like when I looked at the Bills, I could tell
they're like, all right, well go for it. Okay, don't
go okay, wait, like you said, two point, don't two points?
(25:07):
And it feels like Andy Reid every single scenario had
the exact play. This is what we're gonna do when
we need this key third down. This is what we're
gonna do, we need this heat four down, this is
what we're gonna do when we want to run the
ball out to run the clod like they have. It's
so prepared. How much when you watch this run that
they've been on, how much of the preparedness and that
we've already been there is the difference maker between they
(25:28):
and the Bills or they in the Ravens.
Speaker 8 (25:31):
Yeah, you know, I think Andy, I think his team
does a really good job of preparing their players, getting
ready for each situation, because it is situational football when
you break it all down. They've done a great job
of that in doing so, going to three straight Super
(25:52):
Bowls and have an opportunity to three pet Yeah.
Speaker 3 (25:55):
No doubt. Let's go to the Philly Washington. How shocked
when you with that?
Speaker 1 (26:00):
Excuse me what Philadelphia was able to do to the Commanders.
I thought the Commanders they had a really good season.
I love Jane Daniels, but I thought they were lucky
a lot. They won six was it rob g five
or six games? On the last play of the game,
you know, like they had a lot of things go
their way and then the luck kind of ran out.
They had five turnovers, you know, they got from the Lions.
(26:23):
They also got the big one turnover in the entire
game from Baker Mayfield, and then the roof caved in
on them.
Speaker 5 (26:31):
Yeah.
Speaker 8 (26:31):
I mean I was really impressed with mister Daniels, you know,
And I called him mister Daniel because he's not playing
like a rookie. He's not playing like he's in his
early twenties, right. The guy is really gefted. He doesn't
get he doesn't get s frazzled. He doesn't get nervous
at all. He does not happy seat. He finds the
(26:52):
old point receivers. You see him on the sideline. I
don't even know if he even makes any expressions on
the sideline when they showed the camera put him on
and he just kind of has a historic look that
he's just looking out thinking about the next series. You know,
you gotta You've got to give the coaching stamp of
a lot of credit of putting a pretty good team
(27:13):
together because I think, yes, they got some good receivers,
they got a solid running game. He got a really
good young quarterback. Right. I think they got some pieces
to the puzzle on the defensive side. But I think
they're going to add to that. This is gonna be
a good team for a long time. Just because they
got the quarterback. Well, we've all seen it. You got
(27:33):
the quarterback, you can win to the bowls.
Speaker 3 (27:35):
Well, let me ask you this last year, this is
what we said about C. J. Stroud.
Speaker 1 (27:39):
Everybody had them, Okay, they're gonna go to the super Bowl.
They're ready to go. They got a quarterback his first year.
What what is there any difference between these two? Why
CJ didn't have the best second year. And I know
there was some injuries, but he didn't. He did take
a step back.
Speaker 8 (27:55):
You did, he did. And it's and it's when we
when we're speaking of them getting better. As always with
the caveat that the quarterback keeps you growing, right, The
growth have to keep being there for CJ. For Daniels,
they have to keep being there. If that's not there,
then team is going to struggle. So but they got
the pieces they need. And I'm talking about CJ. Stroud,
(28:17):
I'm talking about uh Jade Daniels. They got this. They
got the pieces there. Now if that growth continues out
and then and you got to give Houston a lot
of because multiple guys got hurt, especially the receiving corps.
He didn't he didn't have all his weapons there, didn't
have the same type of running game. I know they
had to mix him, but they didn't still have the
straight up running game. But they still played really solid
(28:40):
football when everybody came back a little bit. So, and
it's everything is that we talked about when we talk about,
like you said, from last year, comparable to Daniels this year,
that's about the growth next year if they keep if
he keeps, if he gets better, if he grows with
each and every week, each and every year, that's what
(29:02):
we're talking about. And I think that's the biggest thing.
And he keeps growing, man, I tell you what. And
I know we gave a lot of credit to c J.
Strout last year. But Daniels, Man, this dude is he's
a little bit different because Frown is more of a
pocket passer where Daniels can get out. He hurts you
with his seat. And that's one thing that I think
(29:22):
makes him a little bit different than Cjay.
Speaker 3 (29:25):
That's there. He has a gift. You know that.
Speaker 4 (29:29):
I don't think CJ quite has well. CJ is I
still think gonna be a really good quarterback for his
you know, tenure of his career. All right, right, all right,
So we in the event for whatever reason, if we
don't talk to you next week as we get ready
for Super Bowl week, I might not hold you to
it now. But just preliminary, how you feeling about this?
The Eagles Chiefs two point zero.
Speaker 8 (29:51):
I tell you what, this is a better Eagles team
than it was the last time. Can the city face them?
I can tell you that no doubt and I would
think I would think it's hurt to just get healthy, right,
but that he got been back, he wasn't one hundred
since this past week, hopefully within two weeks that he
(30:11):
feels way better, that he can be more mobile. But man,
that mister Barkley.
Speaker 3 (30:19):
He's imprssive. Yeah. And that offensive line too. Man, they
open up.
Speaker 8 (30:24):
The offensive line and that defensive line. That defensive line
gets at it, and they got some good players to
back them up. They fly to the football and they
played complimentary football on the defensive side of it. I
liked them to get the upsets. Okay in the Super Bowl.
Speaker 3 (30:42):
I'm with you. I'm with you. I love it. I
think it's we knew you were with him in preseason. No,
I'm just telling you.
Speaker 1 (30:50):
I want you to know that I did pick the
Eagles and Ravens preseason, Rob g and Kelvin and Rod
before the season, I picked.
Speaker 3 (30:58):
Eagles and that was my pick. So I'm.
Speaker 1 (31:04):
Lions chiefe and you had the Lions winning. So I'm
gonna be way wrong. I am gonna be way rolling
about that, all right?
Speaker 3 (31:11):
All right?
Speaker 6 (31:11):
Rod?
Speaker 3 (31:12):
Hey, man, are you gonna be.
Speaker 8 (31:13):
In New Orleans meet her starting that Wednesday?
Speaker 4 (31:16):
All right, well, no doubt. All right, Rod Woodson here
he is. Thank you so much. Uh So, then on
the way, there's some more drama brewing in m I A.

the Pro of the Week goes to Philadelphia Eagles running
back Sat Kwon Barkley. He ran for one hundred and
eighteen yards and three touchdowns and Philly's win over the Commander.
So again, congrats to Sa Kwan for being our Express
Pros Pro of the week.
Speaker 3 (32:26):
All right, Rob, we got the same drama.
Speaker 4 (32:28):
But now Jimmy Butler is now suspended indefinitely with the
Miami Heat because he walked out of a shoot around,
walked out of a practice, and now they are just
saying they've had enough of Jimmy and his unprofessionalism and
his request for trades, that they have ignored pat Riley
and he having a standoff like no other. In fact,
(32:51):
we've had some folks on, you know, the last couple
of weeks talking about it, saying they've never seen Mark
Stein last week, never seen anything like this.
Speaker 1 (32:59):
We're usually still gonna defend Jimmy. I mean no, it's
not a defending Jimmy pat Riley. I'm asking you, are
you sed to I'm saying, I've never defending Jimmy. My
point was to pat Riley, if my ultimate as a
president of the team is to make our team better,
him being in this battle with he and Jimmy, their
exposer is coaching for his life, right, And I'm like,
(33:19):
yo ver.
Speaker 4 (33:20):
Exposure is not going anywhere. No, no, no, no, that's not
an issue. I'm saying here, hitting me out, get me
somebody better.
Speaker 1 (33:25):
No, no, no, but but you also you talk about
heat culture and what they have down there and whatnot.
Speaker 3 (33:32):
We saw when Lebron was down there.
Speaker 1 (33:34):
This is what they do and you're not gonna be
They're setting an example for other people that in Miami,
we won't be strong armed into some bad deal. We
won't be forced to do what you want because we
run the team and that's all. There's no disrespect. Jimmy
can look at it disrespect. It's not you work for us,
(33:55):
We pay you, and it's okay. If you don't like
it here, you could play out your contract and go
sign with the Pistons, go sign with a team that
has money.
Speaker 4 (34:06):
But my thing is so I'm not mad, but that's
not even issue. My thing is like that that makes sense.
My issue is pat Riley, for a handful of years now,
has that than anything to make this team better. The
only thing that has made them good has been not
the only thing. I'm not saying bam out about. He's
not a quality player, hero doesn't do his thing, but
(34:28):
has been Jimmy. And so my point was.
Speaker 1 (34:30):
Getting but Bradley Beal is the only taking a bad cut,
So so what deal are you taking other than the
Suns wanna wanna trade clause the Ward's Bradley Beal in
that contract in Miami.
Speaker 4 (34:45):
But what I'm saying is, so, now I remember, say
the beginning of all of this, you had all this
distraction Tyler Hero acting weird, and you don't know if
he eat on that. He don't know how to handle it.
He don't know how to all these conversations and Jimmy. Again,
I'm not saying how he's handling is correct, but I'm
also saying this has been Jimmy a couple of times
through his career. Pat Riley chose to bring in Jimmy
(35:08):
that we've seen after about two three seasons or so,
this is what happens with Jimmy. But that doesn't mean
that he has to accept it. And what I'm saying
this is part for the course. Nah, I disagree.
Speaker 8 (35:18):
I think so.
Speaker 1 (35:19):
I think what pat Riley's doing is taking a stand,
even if it might you know, you might get nothing
for it any bouncers and lit fine, but this is
the show, everybody that you're not gonna come here and
strong armass and think you're running the team here.
Speaker 4 (35:34):
Let me throw this at that. I get now, that's
not a crazy idea. I get that, But also if
you knew, remember of the summer they say, hey, we're
not giving we're not extending Jimmy to me from a
great president GM standpoint, I'm already trying to figure out
what can we do because you know that. You know
it's like Jerry Jones. You knew you wasn't getting Mike
McCarthy anymore. You knew you weren't resigning him, so now
(35:57):
you didn't wait it all day long, and now your
start stuck with Brian Shattan.
Speaker 1 (36:00):
I know you expected that Jimmy would be professional, okay,
and he already has another year that you think if
you're pat Riley, who's going to opt out of fifty
two million?
Speaker 4 (36:11):
Not that what I'm saying is but if you knew
you didn't want him, which is fine, I'm saying, some
deal so.
Speaker 1 (36:18):
He doesn't want to be there because he doesn't get
the money.
Speaker 4 (36:21):
That's not that they don't want. If you're not going
to sign him, that means you don't want. No, he
has another year next year. What do you mean what
I'm saying? You know based off his age, Like, come on, Rob,
they know you clearly don't want to sign him.
Speaker 3 (36:31):
You don't want the guy, so that.
Speaker 6 (36:34):
Does.
Speaker 4 (36:34):
What I'm saying is you had an opportunity to sign
him and you chose not to. Usually indicates we don't
want to sign you, especially giving his age.
Speaker 1 (36:41):
No, but maybe he leads him to a championship next
year and the next year on the contract, and then
I'm gladly give you another contract. Okay, so that's on
the table. What I'm saying is he already has a
deal for next year, right for fifty two, and he
wants to not say you.
Speaker 3 (36:57):
Didn't want to sign him, which is their right.
Speaker 4 (36:59):
But I'm saying, now you've sat here, you've got nothing
for it. The team is floundering, The whole atmosphere is
all jacked up, and I'm just saying what I would
rather have at the time, saying, hm, let's start looking
around and see what we can do. Make some move,
make a great move, do it, danny A's get some picks.
Maybe you don't get a quality player, but get some
picks and start to do something.
Speaker 3 (37:17):
But now you just got a distraction. It's weird. It's
all the team's all messed. Distraction.
Speaker 4 (37:21):
He's suspended. Oh, it's a big time distraction because you
know what you are. You know the first thing you're
gonna do. Hey, Tyler Hero, you had a great game,
but you lost. It would have been a better game
if Jimmy Butler was playing.
Speaker 3 (37:30):
And I'm saying he's suspended. That's all you can do
because he's unprofessional. Yeah, Josh Allen, we got to talk
about him. Fox Sports Radio,
