But first, what's first? First? Robert Kraft?

Speaker 1 (01:36):
Rob g can we can we have you give us
the news of the day, Because for a long time,
Robert Kraft's not getting young.

Speaker 2 (01:44):
He's long into two eighty three eight.

Speaker 1 (01:47):
Like Jerry Jones is already in the bro Hall of Fame,
but Robert Kraft, for whatever reason, isn't in. And he's
in his eighties, and he was starting to make noise
that he wants to get in.

Speaker 4 (01:59):
Hey, put your boy, I don't want to say when
I'm gone, rob Gee.

Speaker 2 (02:04):
What happened today?

Speaker 3 (02:04):
Oh?

Speaker 2 (02:05):
He wasn't just making noise.

Speaker 5 (02:06):
He was like that you know, jealous ex girlfriend, Like, Hey,
I don't know if you saw, but here's an Instagram
piece that I did. Here's something I did, Why I
donated money, Here's some why ida why I wanted the
Schooer Bowl. So ESPN did a feature last month talking
about this exact topic. Robert Kraft has been in NFL
circles for years now, sending out press releases, emails, gift

(02:26):
baskets to the entire Pro Football Hall of Fame community
saying Hey, I don't know if you guys. Remember, but
I'm pretty good and that maybe I deserved to be
in here. Well, as of this morning on Wednesday, Robert
Kraft has officially been named a finalist for the twenty
twenty five Hall of Fame class. He's one of twenty
five names. It's gonna be a whettled down later to

(02:48):
nine and eventually chosen three. Who's gonna actually get into
the Hall of Fame but Rob You'll recall last month
when ESPN did that feature about Robert Kraft's desperate, you know,
attempts to get into see the Hall. One of the
voters went on record as saying the reason why Craft

(03:09):
has not been given the admission the same way that
Jerry Jones does, even though he's had far more success
as an owner than Jerry Jones's ad point blank period,
is because he is behind two of the biggest cheating
scandals of this century, Spygate and the flight Gate. Well
now we'll see whether or not those two gates are

(03:30):
going to keep him out of the pearly gates that
is the Hall of Fame.

Speaker 4 (03:35):
All Right, I'm much you got to say on this
because I got a different perspective.

Speaker 2 (03:39):
I believe, I know you do.

Speaker 1 (03:43):
And as you know, I'm a Hall of Fame voter
for baseball's right, which.

Speaker 2 (03:48):
Is the hardest one to get into.

Speaker 4 (03:50):
And wait, we didn't need all that, Okay, you know
in the NFL they put in like twelve guys at
one time, like that's a special place.

Speaker 1 (03:59):
That's like leaving the back door open and letting people
run in. Same thing with the NBA. I mean, no
ument with the NBA the Basketball Hall of Fame and
they're putting guys in, you know, like I just I
don't know what the rhyme or reason is.

Speaker 2 (04:13):
But here's my point.

Speaker 1 (04:13):
Anyway, I take it very seriously and I think that
it's uh, it should be the best of the best.
And I'm not shocked that Robert Craft hasn't been in
to this point because he has been involved, his team
has been involved in cheating, cheating the game, spying on people,
the flake Gate. There's just so many things going on

(04:35):
there and at some point we'll find out the depth
of this and how much cheating went on with the
Patriots because don't forget Eric Mangini was on Bill Belichick's staff.

Speaker 2 (04:46):
Was he not a disciple? He was?

Speaker 1 (04:48):
He came out how many coaches come out and say,
don't do that to me. I know what you guys
do there, because he was there, He was at the facility,
he was in the building, the Jets coach, because he
knows how they played dirty pool and he pulled the
curtain back and the spread and the sheets and the
blanket and it wasn't a pretty picture.

Speaker 2 (05:10):
Okay. If I was voting.

Speaker 1 (05:16):
For the Pro Football Hall of Fame, I would not
vote for Robert Craft because if you're gonna hold it
against Barry Bonds, Roger Clemens, they're cheaters. They took the Jews,
they cheated the game. How in the world could you
turn your head and act like nothing happened in New England.

(05:37):
That's why they don't get the love that they should.
With six championships, they should be adored, right and people
should love that franchise. Rob g knows the Raiders got
jobbed by the Patriots, and I know referees had more
to do with that, but I'm just saying, and I'm
gonna take it a step further.

Speaker 2 (06:00):
Not only should Robert.

Speaker 1 (06:01):
Kraft not get in, but if I had a vote,
I wouldn't vote for Tom Brady because he was again
a part of the cheating scandal that allowed the Patriots
to win. What I mean by part of it, he
benefited from it, knowing what defensive plays they're running.

Speaker 2 (06:20):
You don't think that helped Tom Brady.

Speaker 1 (06:23):
Bill Belichick and Tom Brady would not n ot get.

Speaker 2 (06:29):
My vote for the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

Speaker 1 (06:32):
If we're gonna do the same thing and keep Bonds out,
if we're gonna keep Clements out, if we're gonna keep
Pete Rose out, why in the world would we elevate
those guys and give them the highest honor. There's a
reason Robert Craft is not already in the Hall of
Fame with six championships, and it's the cheating. And if

(06:53):
you're gonna keep Robert Kraft out, you gotta keep Tom
Brady out.

Speaker 4 (06:58):
First of all, tom Brady home minding his own business,
gearing up for whatever next thing he gotta do.

Speaker 2 (07:03):
Why he catching strays? He was he at home worrying.

Speaker 4 (07:06):
About being owner of rob G's favorite team, the Raiders,
and Tom Brady's catching strays. Now, let's start go back
to the Robber Craft thing. I do believe those things
play a role. I also do believe he's gonna get
in eventually. I think a part of it is let's
smack him on the wrists. Let's make sure he knows
we're not gonna get him in immediately. We're not gonna

(07:26):
get him in when he wants to because of the
things you mentioned, because of the deflay gates and the spygates,
and you pick a gate, Bill Gates, pick a Gate.
And so I think that absolutely has something to do
with the fact that they're making him Wait, we're not
gonna just hold you up here, prop you up as
this amazing guy. We know you've been, you know, kind
of screwing people over screwing the NFL over not necessarily personally.

(07:48):
It wasn't like he was down there with the camp corder.

Speaker 2 (07:50):
But it's his team.

Speaker 4 (07:51):
He'll get in simply because the team's done too much.
The team's too significant, and you can't tell the history
of the NFL without talking about it's a twenty year run.

Speaker 1 (07:59):
Of They still tell them. They never hear that you
know what the Chicago Black Socks are. Yes, yeah, you
do know.

Speaker 4 (08:05):
Don't nobody want to hear about what was having in
nineteen thirty whatever?

Speaker 2 (08:08):
It was?

Speaker 1 (08:09):
Okay, But my point is, you do know who they
are because they judged some of the guys to Okay.

Speaker 4 (08:14):
Let's start this knock because if I gotta deal with
this for my tenure working with you, yes, and you
and your lows, it's called content. Listen first of all. Okay, again, yes,
they got caught cheating and doing the signs. I believe
most teams do just about anything. We're gonna sit here
and talk about other teams doing. Michigan got caught up

(08:35):
in the whole sign stealing and you know what else,
Other teams had a bunch of signs stealing the same thing.
The guy had a whole dagging corporation of people he
was working with for other teams.

Speaker 2 (08:46):
They just got caught.

Speaker 4 (08:47):
If you don't think other teams have some similar stuff,
five days that happens.

Speaker 2 (08:51):
So what I'm saying is he's going to get in.

Speaker 4 (08:54):
Bill Belichick absolutely is getting in, and Tom Brady might
as well already be in right now. I can't believe
you would even argue that, because Tom Brady has won
in a multitude of ways. He won being a really
good game manager. He wasn't the most spectacular, but he
managed the game with a good defense and the great
special teams what era do you want? Then you go
to the era of middle of his career, when he's
lighting the league up, throwing thirty forty to fifty touchdowns

(09:17):
all over the place, doing his thing. You want that,
all right?

Speaker 2 (09:20):
Cool?

Speaker 4 (09:20):
You want the more veteran season of the last you
know years of his life, winning with the Patriots, then
coming back winning with the bronc the Buccaneers. So Tom
Brady has one of the multitude of ways, multiple iterations,
multiple generations. There's done, there's dad, sons and grandfathers who
have seen Tom Brady win. He's getting in there without
a doubt. And so let's just move that to the side.

Speaker 6 (09:42):
Now.

Speaker 4 (09:42):
The other thing I got when I come to with
Robert Kraft is I did need some more smoke for
him getting caught up at the parlor. I need a
little more smokey rob g knows this. I'm still waiting
to see the tape. Yeah, Like, well, first of all,
you ain't you know what. Let me tell you what
you're not about to get. First of all, the fact
that you want to see the t nobody Rober Kraft
don't want to see the tape. Secondly, you ain't gonna

(10:04):
see the tape. You ain't getting the tape, and you
ain't getting the Jeffrey Epstein list. Those two things you
ain't getting, all right, because look, you're talking about billionaires,
and when billionaires get caught up and stuff, you ain't
gonna see it. So you got Robert caff got caught
up in the whole parlor thing. In the midst of
all this, you got the Deshaun Watson stuff going on too.
Now they're not comparison as far as numbers of what

(10:24):
alleged things that were happening, But man, that kind of
went away. Robber Craft story went away for an owner
get caught up in that, and I can said his
video and all that that just went away. And there's
something about being a powerful man in America.

Speaker 2 (10:35):
We d ain'a white moll.

Speaker 1 (10:37):
Okay wait wait wait wait, So he's so powerful, but
he's not in the Hall of Fame. No, but I'm
saying no, trying to give you this getting in. No,
but he's not in. He's eighty three years old and
he's not. And his team has won six championships. So
there is something there that they didn't just act like
nothing happened there because of the cheating not the parlor

(10:57):
the massage Pauler and we're talking about the massage Paula
Hall of Fame.

Speaker 4 (11:00):
Maybe there's a different story you're saying like he's James
Harden and the ret Jersey.

Speaker 1 (11:05):
Trip Club, all the dollars he's thrown there. My point
is there's a reason he's not in like that, like.

Speaker 4 (11:11):
They're poking at him for this. They're poking at him,
but he's gonna get in. And the fact that you
say you would vote, come on, that's ridiculous. No, are
you sincerely saying you would't vote for time? Like I
be for real? At one he would not get my vote.
They said, we're talking about you have a vote for
the MLB. We know you do radio and even covering sports,

(11:31):
and while we'll talk to you, an NFL vote as well,
And oh look at this happens to be the year
Tom Brady's up. You're gonna be the one person who
doesn't vote for Tom Brady to get all.

Speaker 2 (11:41):
The unanimous then I'll be the one. I mean, I
just want to know.

Speaker 4 (11:45):
Then I'm Tom Brady and I sit out next to
you and I say, Rob, we see that you didn't vote.

Speaker 2 (11:48):
What what I just want to know what is it is?

Speaker 1 (11:51):
It is it people the writers who held out Barry Bonds,
who won three m vps before even started doing juice,
who was never suspended by the league. Tom Brady was suspended,
that's true by the league. Asked anybody Brady fans, call
me up and tell me when Barry Bonds got suspended
by Major League Baseball.

Speaker 2 (12:12):
It never happened. Those effects, Roger Clemens, it never happened.

Speaker 4 (12:18):
But why is Tom Brady catching it straight for a
whole different sport. He got none to do with baseball.

Speaker 1 (12:22):
Saying is when you look at all of them, if
you're gonna make Robert Craft wait or not put him in,
Brady and Belichick have to be under the same umbrella.

Speaker 4 (12:32):
No they don't, because no they don't, because Robert Craft,
You're already only gonna get in as a special person,
right the contributing aspect of it.

Speaker 2 (12:42):
Tom Brady was out there on.

Speaker 1 (12:43):
The Blood and three and haven't won anything in thirty years.

Speaker 4 (12:47):
He went in already because Jerry Joe. I don't know
why Jerry Jones has been called him in some stuff too,
But so I don't. I don't know the issue of
why Jones got in and he did. Maybe Jerry Jones
got in early enough where maybe more scandals than come out.
I don't know. Maybe Robert Craft has bad relationships. But
all I know is the idea. I'm okay with your
point of him getting in eventually or they don't want

(13:07):
to put him.

Speaker 2 (13:07):
In right now. I'm cool with that.

Speaker 4 (13:08):
But when you start bringing in Tom Brady and Bill Belichick,
not get And that's where I want to throw this
pin at you.

Speaker 1 (13:13):
Eight seven, seven ninety nine on Fox eight seven seven
nine nine six sixty three sixty nine. Should the Patriots
cheating scandal keep Robert Kraft and No Brady too far
out of the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

Speaker 2 (13:29):

Speaker 2 (13:42):

at least not getting your vote.

Speaker 2 (14:37):
I mean, I listen.

Speaker 4 (14:39):
I was willing to concede the Robert Craft, you know,
making him well because he's an owner and obviously he
plays a role. But Tom Brady was out there bluff,
sweat and tears making it happen. And now you don't
want to vote Rob Parker. I can't even believe eight
seven seven ninety nine on Fox. Help me people. You
see what I'm dealing with. Help me, help you boy,
Let's do it.

Speaker 1 (14:55):
Eight seven, seven ninety nine on Fox Truck or Don
in Boston, The a Couple of Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 2 (15:01):
What's up Truck or DoD Yes, sir, yes, sir.

Speaker 6 (15:08):
Guys.

Speaker 7 (15:08):
How you doing, Calvin? What's going on by this?

Speaker 2 (15:10):
What's up? Truck? Help me out?

Speaker 6 (15:12):
Bro?

Speaker 9 (15:13):
Hey?

Speaker 7 (15:14):
This is well. Rob had a saying once Tom Brady
is ever gonna go to another.

Speaker 9 (15:21):
Super Bowl ever again?

Speaker 7 (15:24):
And I like to make him eat that one, you know,
I do. That's that's my favorite. That was twenty twelve. Yeah,
so hey, and I love rob By the way, so
you know, don't don't take it the wrong way. You know,
if I'm not joking with somebody, I don't like him exactly.

Speaker 2 (15:39):
That's true.

Speaker 7 (15:41):
I mean, you guys are are criticizing Robert Kraft for
going into a massage poller. I mean, come on, Gronk
had just retired. Everybody knows that Robert Kraft was just
looking for a new tight end.

Speaker 2 (16:00):
Hey, go ahead to to one more time. Yeah, you
can do that for that, thank you.

Speaker 1 (16:06):
Chris in Detroit, you're on the Odd Couple Sports Radio.

Speaker 2 (16:10):
What's up?

Speaker 9 (16:11):
Hello, there, mister Parker and mister Calvin Washington. Welcome to
the show. Sir, you're so wonderful. Thank you, and you
keep robbing shit. I mean, you're comparing apples to oranges.
I mean when Rob Manfred getting tiny astros and now
you're gonna talk about the NFL finding top grades for

(16:31):
what he did for which is a minors. But what
they did the astros and baseball did major Come on, now, yeah,
but that.

Speaker 1 (16:38):
Doesn't mean that al Tuve won't be hurt when the
Hall of Fame comes around. I'm just telling you the
way that the way that they did, because they look
at that and say, you know, like they cheated, like
that was a proven thing that they cheated to get
an advantage. Chris, why are you poo pooing? Why are
you put pulling that Tom Brady was suspended. You remember

(16:58):
he wouldn't have he wouldn't take part of the investigation.
He trashed his phone, right, he wouldn't let the NFL
look at it.

Speaker 2 (17:05):
He was suspended for four games.

Speaker 9 (17:08):
Okay, I'm sorry, it's sorry for interrupting. Okay, but listen,
let's take your argument. Listen, he was cool, cooled, but
he was he was trying to cheat it, but it
was a minor of sense. Look at it in Satan putballs.
Come on, now they all did, Dad, everybody did.

Speaker 1 (17:23):
But he that's what I'm trying to that's my big
got suspended. He got suspended for it because he wouldn't
cook cooperate.

Speaker 9 (17:29):
The shoulder League. That's the show, the league that the
deal had power over.

Speaker 4 (17:34):
Hey, Chris, you know what, let me take the cars.
Pray for me wors Wednesday. You see what I'm doing.
We asked you this.

Speaker 2 (17:40):
Yes, this is about to be all right.

Speaker 1 (17:43):
If you rob a bank, can steal one hundred thousand
dollars from a bank, or your grandmother sleeping and you
slipped five dollars out of her purse while she's sleeping.

Speaker 2 (17:56):
Either way your thief.

Speaker 4 (17:58):
You're going now now you know what a way you're
you're full Bible for.

Speaker 2 (18:02):
Me a whether it's big or small, lies alive.

Speaker 4 (18:06):
As a matter of fact, this Sunday, come on out
bringing you to church because now you're a believer. Now
you're talking like you're a believer over here. Now you
sound like a pair. You know, lie is a lie
is a lie? White Live, Black Live, Why the Black
Live gotta be bad though.

Speaker 2 (18:17):
What's that?

Speaker 1 (18:18):
I'm just saying. Yeah, Hey, hey Scott in North Carolina.
You're on the yard couple of Fox Sports Radio. What's up, Scott?

Speaker 7 (18:25):
What's up?

Speaker 9 (18:26):
Man?

Speaker 2 (18:26):
What's up?

Speaker 3 (18:27):
Scott?

Speaker 2 (18:27):
Scott? Scott can't even believe it.

Speaker 10 (18:29):
No, no way, no how should they be acceded into
the Hall of Fame like you got said the owner,
the head coach, the quarterback. All got caught for kids,
and all got said to. Tom Brady was suspended. Bill
Belich had to pay funs. Yes, the owner had to
pay funds too.

Speaker 7 (18:50):
That's on their name.

Speaker 10 (18:51):
They have to hold that and wear that. And if
you're going to keep one of them out.

Speaker 9 (18:54):
You gotta keep all of them all. This is a
Rico charge.

Speaker 2 (18:56):
They all he done turned it in.

Speaker 1 (18:58):
Not a young man, not a thug out here, Scott.
You know what you're talking about. They were all in kahoots.
They all knew what was going on. Bill Belichick had
the largest fine in the history of the National Football
League for any head coach. Tom Brady was suspended for
four games. All he had to say, go back. If

(19:18):
you guys don't believe it, go back there.

Speaker 2 (19:20):
You're gangulated.

Speaker 1 (19:21):
I'm not Peter Alexander from NBC News as Tom Brady said,
is Tom Brady at cheater? And he looked right into
the camera said I don't think so. I'm like, who
answers that? You just say no?

Speaker 4 (19:37):
If they did whatever they said they did, they paid
the pennance, So what, okay? Move on you Actually, so
everybody who's been suspended needs to not be in the
NFL then, because a whole bunch of people been suspended
throughout the NFL. I'm just a whole lot of people
have been suspended. They So now we're gonna run through
a list of people who should not be in the
Hall of Fame. We got to pull a bunch of
people out of the Hall of Fame. Tyler Dunn's gonna

(19:58):
come in. Found her and feature writer for Go Long
Talk Some More Baseball right now.

Speaker 3 (20:02):
Be sure to catch live editions of The Odd Couple

Speaker 4 (20:13):
All Right, thank you be company line from the tirerack
dot Com Studios.

Speaker 2 (20:17):
Tyler Dunn, founder and feature.

Speaker 4 (20:18):
Writer for Golong Tie Dunn on Twitter X, make sure
you give him a follow. There joins the show. Now,
what's up, Tyler?

Speaker 2 (20:25):
Are you doing o Fellas?

Speaker 6 (20:27):
What a pleasure to be back with you. Yes, good,
you're in Vikings country for a few days.

Speaker 2 (20:32):
Oh there you go.

Speaker 1 (20:32):
Let's start with the Vikings five and zero real deal
or uh Bolonial file?

Speaker 2 (20:38):
Where are you on the Vikings.

Speaker 6 (20:41):
I don't know how you couldn't be all in on
this team right now. I mean, they've got a formula
that can work. I don't think this is fool's gold.
I think you're seeing a defensive coordinator who's cooking up
the kind of schemes you just don't see anywhere else.
I mean, you got seventy guys. You know, at that
line of scrimmage, you don't know who's dropping, you don't
know who's blitz and it's extremely complex. I was talking

(21:02):
to Harrison Smith today and he kind of chuckled. He's like,
you know, we're basically a completely different defense each week,
and yet at the same time, they kind of keep
this identity because you just know they're going to stay
in attack mode. So that thing's cooking and think about it.
You know they didn't pay Kirk cousins. You know, they
kind of said they wanted him back, but it was
more of a all right, it's not you, it's me.

(21:23):
I think et quasi adopo mensa, Kevin O'Connell, they were
ready to move on. And this is a big reason
why you use that money to go pay John Grenard,
to pay Andrew Van Ginkle, to get Stefan Gilmore.

Speaker 9 (21:35):
Late in the game.

Speaker 6 (21:36):
I mean, Blake Cashman at linebacker has been an absolute animal.
So I think it starts there with the defense. This
is the best defense in the NFL.

Speaker 1 (21:43):
So is there no chance of Sam Donald turning into
a pumpkin on the second half of the season.

Speaker 6 (21:49):
You know, it's always the possibility. He's gotten away with
a few near turnovers yep, early on. But at the
same time, I don't think he will will turn into
that pumpkin. I think that, you know, the year rehab
out there in Santa Clara with Kyle Shanahan did him wonders.
And then you get with Kevin O'Connell, maybe the best

(22:09):
teacher of the position going in today's NFL, and you've
got the best wide receiver in football, two healthy, sturdy
tackles to protect you. Aaron Jones should be getting back
here soon. And again that defense, I mean, it's all
kind of set up around it. But you know, we
probably should get Sam Donald some credit here too. You know,
it's not like you can just throw anybody into that offense.

(22:32):
If you could, Nick, Nick Mullins or Jaron Hall or
Joshua Dobb would have won more games last year. It's
just amazing that Sam Donald was able to survive the
hell that is the New York Jets just an absolute
wasteland and still is, of course with Aaron Rodgers now
there to survive that survive the Panthers and David Tepper
and Matt Rule to get here. Think about that mental

(22:54):
perseverance to believe in yourself when everybody's righting off as
a bus. I don't think he ever played the victim car.
You know, he never pointed fingers publicly at any press conference.
He has not once said that things were against him
in any former fashion when he absolutely could. So let's
give Sam Darnold some credit too.

Speaker 4 (23:12):
We'll give him some credit. He's going up against the Lions.
It's going to be a fun one there. Tyler Dunn,
founder and features writer for Gold Long and That's what
I want to ask you about, Tyler. I look at
maybe the surprise division of the season is the NFC North.
You got the Lions looking good, and we might be
expected it from them, We didn't expect the Vikings to
be this great. Caleb Williams rough star for the Bears.
Now they're four and two, they look good, they look good.

(23:34):
You who's real in this division or who's just maybe
having some early success.

Speaker 2 (23:37):
What are you seeing?

Speaker 6 (23:39):
It's hard to say it's not the Vikings with it
with how they played, but it's going to come right
down to the final week. It's unbelievable. I mean, the
fact that these are the four teams with the greatest
point differential in the entire NFL is absurd. I don't
know the last time the division's been this good. I
think he got to go back to Mike all of
that neckt role and Garry Sanders and Randy Mots and

(24:01):
Brett Farm. You got to get the Central days in
the late nineties and it might even top that. Uh
you know it's I love. I love where the.

Speaker 7 (24:09):
Vikings are at.

Speaker 6 (24:10):
I love Jordan Love. We've talked about it. I mean
that that was always the right move for the Green
Bay Packers, that this guy could really be an all timers.
I mean the set of skills and gifts that he has,
the mental toughness. But you know, let's also not forget
about Detroit, and I know they lost Aiden Hudgson, that
they'll figure out.

Speaker 2 (24:28):
That's a blow. That's a blow to that team.

Speaker 7 (24:31):
It is.

Speaker 6 (24:31):
You're right, we shouldn't just skim past it because it's
he He was obviously their best defensive player, maybe the
best defensive player in all of football. I don't know
where that pass rush is gonna come from. I think
they've gotta they've got to be bold and and and
I think they will be because you know, they were
within a play or two from the super Bowl. They've
extended everybody. I mean, throw Allen McNeil into the mix

(24:53):
now and David Montgomery, who's I sat down with David
Montgomery recently. M got what a life he's had. And
I think they're gonna do something here before the trade
deadline because they know the urgency is there, they know
the super Bowl window is open? Is it? Max Crosby,
I don't know how the hell you make the money work,
but I would think they'll do something, maybe as a
Darius Smith, maybe Jadavian Clowney. They're gonna find another pass

(25:15):
rusher because they really have no choice.

Speaker 4 (25:17):
He is Tyler dunnfounder and feature writer for Go Long
Tig Dunn. He is joining us to a Coop Rock
Parker and Kevin Washington.

Speaker 1 (25:23):
I'm not surprised that the Pittsburgh steel is a going
to Russell Wilson, and I know that four and two,
and I know the argument is that, you know, Justin
Field didn't turn the ball over, but if you look
at their offensive numbers, they're not good. They're not And
I'm not surprised that they're going to try to turn
the offense because they have a good defense, they got

(25:46):
kicking game, they can run the football, they feel like
they can. They haven't won a playoff game in eight years.
Are you totally surprised by this or not?

Speaker 6 (25:55):
Man, I'm probably right there with you because it's look
you get me you paid for in life. I know
the Steelers were praise for getting these two quarterbacks on
the cheat, but I mean, there's a reason that Justin
Fields was available for the same compensation as what a
Sam Howell and the Desmond Ritter that there's a reason
that the Denver Broncos are eating eighty plus mil in

(26:17):
dead cat kick Russell Wilson out the door, like if
he really had any juice left, they would be keeping him.
I mean, it's a historic number. So I love Mike Tomlin.
I love the way the Steelers do business. Spend some
time around the team. It's different there. I mean really,
era to era, decade to decade. There's just something different

(26:38):
to that culture that they have built. That's why they're
the team that gets the blocked punt late in the
fourth quarter. I mean, there's all of these weird, peculiar
finishes in plays. They happen for a reason. But I
don't I think it takes you so far, Like I
don't see one of these quarterbacks, you know, getting them
over to the hump to compete with Patrick Mahomes and
Josh Allen, you know, in the Lamar Jackson and who

(27:01):
knows Joe Burrow will be back in the playoff mix.
I just can't get there with either one of these guys.
I think they're the same.

Speaker 4 (27:08):
Hey, what do you think about We're starting to hear
reports that they still don't know exactly when two was
coming back, but two was trying to get closer and
closer to come back. Do you think we'll see two
again this year, because if not that you're going to
start seeing more and more flirting from Tyreek Hill trying
to get back to Kansas City.

Speaker 6 (27:25):
Now, now there's the wild Card and the whole conference
and we see two attend. Baill collide with DeMar Hamlin,
he goes down. We've seen the concussions pass. It's horrifying
to watch. And I mean Kevin talked to a guy
like Kevin cobp for example, he had four concussions over
the same period of time. Now, every quarterback symptoms are

(27:45):
going to be different. His were awful. I mean at
one point he almost faded into the other lane driving
out Southwestern Boulevard and Buffalo and got a head on
collision nearly and so he knew, after so many concussions
it was time to hang it up. He knew in
the moment to it.

Speaker 9 (28:01):
Obviously hasn't hit.

Speaker 6 (28:02):
His symptoms must not be near what a guy like
Kevin Cobb dealt with because he wants to play. Clearly,
they're giving him the time to recover, and I feel
I'm not going to tell somebody what to two. I
get there's a lot of that, but he's had his
free will. If he desires to play power to him
like that, that is his right. You just hope that

(28:23):
he really is talking to people like Kevin Cobb and
weighing out the pros and the cons, because this is
the serious stuff.

Speaker 2 (28:28):
All right.

Speaker 4 (28:28):
He is Tyler Dunn again joining the odd couple with
this will get you out of here on this one.
Rob and I have been saying pretty much the last
most of the season, but the last few weeks, that
the Ravens are the best team. They look good this
past weekend. L Mars, you don't want to know the
MVP the ways playing exactly and uh and then who
knows they may even still make a move before this
trade deadline. Are they the best team in the league

(28:51):
right now? Is it Lamar Jackson's MVP to lose? We're
we're high on the Ravens around these parts, as you
should be.

Speaker 3 (28:57):
Guys.

Speaker 6 (28:58):
My word, I mean, I can't say best team in
the league. They did lose two, they did lose to
the Raiders.

Speaker 1 (29:03):
It's hard to but they won four in a row
and look who they've beaten. If you look and they
just lost to the Chiefs, you know what a foot
on the line. I mean I look at them and
I can't get over how good they are after an
zero and two start.

Speaker 6 (29:18):
I think we are going to see a totally different
Ravens team in January, like the group that seems to
run into that brick wall each winter. Look, they did
evolve last year with Todd Mounkin. You know, have an
actual modernized passing game. I mean, you guys are talking
to these receivers that have come through there too. They
couldn't stand Greg Roman's offense. It was elementary. It was

(29:39):
everything Steve Smith ranted about on the league's network. So
to move past that was great for Lamar and with
the Terrick Henry, I mean, with all due respect to
the Gus Edwardses of the world and JK. Dobbins and
you know what have you, he's a different level. He's
a Hall of Famer and he hasn't slowed down at all.
It's unreal that we've got these two ye comic book

(30:00):
characters playing off of each other and a quarterback who
can make you pay one on one through the air.

Speaker 9 (30:06):
Hey, I think they.

Speaker 6 (30:07):
Get the Chiefs whoever in the playoffs, everything they can handle.
I'm with you.

Speaker 4 (30:10):
As long as they can get past the mental battle
and just play their game and not fall for that,
they'll be fine.

Speaker 1 (30:15):
Yeah, and not do what they did last year in
that AFC Championship game when they went.

Speaker 2 (30:18):
Away from the run. That's what I mean. They get.
They're going to get Derek Henry.

Speaker 1 (30:22):
That tells me that they understand that they made a
mistake and they'll get back to that anyway.

Speaker 2 (30:27):
Tyler, thank you, my man anytime.

Speaker 6 (30:30):
Guys, thanks so much for having me.

Speaker 2 (30:32):
Thank you so much.

Speaker 6 (30:33):
Ye.

Speaker 4 (30:33):
I think they're going to be locked in. They knew
exactly your point. They know exactly what they did wrong.
And that's kind of a good thing in life when
you know, because they did.

Speaker 1 (30:39):
If they would have gotten a receiver, then I would
have been like, No, they don't know, they didn't.

Speaker 2 (30:43):
They don't get it.

Speaker 4 (30:44):
Running the Rock defense held them down no points in
the second half. Run the rock, you win the game,
all right, one's gotta go this week's edition, we'll do that.

Speaker 2 (32:11):
Are you ready? One, Let's do it. One's gotta go?

Speaker 3 (32:15):
Crow?

Speaker 7 (32:15):
Is that when I'm.

Speaker 3 (32:17):
Even number?

Speaker 2 (32:18):
Figure it out? All right? So I'm excited about this one.

Speaker 4 (32:24):
Now the tie in, if you will, the recent news
is you spent time decades in fact in Detroit, Rob,
Do you remember Big Meach? Of course yes, for those
of you who don't know, uh, he was obviously popularized
because of this song Alex hit me with the song
please this one for Ray Rock. I'll see you be fan,

(32:49):
let me know, let me find out you were in
the streets be fin. So, of course think I was
a dog catcher before he decided to get in the radio. Wait,
is that like actual serious?

Speaker 2 (32:58):
No, I'm just okay.

Speaker 4 (32:59):
I was about to say no, you don't even know
what he was doing down in San Diego. So Big
Meach was a part of BMF black Mafia family, huge
drug syndicate ring whatever between Detroit Atlanta and Los Angeles
had it going on for a long time. They said
at one point they were worth like three hundred million dollars.
One of the biggest drug corporations of this country's ever seen.

(33:19):
He gets locked up, he's dead about fifteen twenty years,
whatever it is.

Speaker 2 (33:22):
He's free today.

Speaker 4 (33:23):
So it got us thinking, Rob Parker, what are some
of the best gangster films, you know, street films of
all time? So Rob G and I compile the list. Alex,
you're in on this, beef in Hey, you might be
in on this too, since you're getting your Rick Ross on.
We're gonna start with you good We're gonna start with goodfellas.

Speaker 2 (33:43):
Is on the list.

Speaker 4 (33:44):
Scarfaces on the List, Training Day, New Jack City and
American Gangster. One has to go. This is a tough list.
One has to go, all right, So who wants to
go first?

Speaker 2 (33:56):
Rob G?

Speaker 4 (33:57):
Since I'm setting it up today, unfortunately for you, you have
to go first. One has to go, good fellow, Scarface
Training Day, New Jack City, American Gangster.

Speaker 5 (34:05):
I'm doing this one specifically because I wanted to get
you guys upset. New Jack City's gotta go. Yeah, you're
already starting to get me, and I say, you know,
it's just the other ones to me are more classic.

Speaker 4 (34:20):
Since your five dollars now before I make change. Okay,
that's what I feel like telling you right now.

Speaker 3 (34:25):
Me and his money.

Speaker 2 (34:26):
But you know what, Rob G. I'm I'm gonna be
with Rob G on this. And and let me tell
you he don't like black quarterbacks. That's what I'm gonna say.
You don't like black films.

Speaker 1 (34:35):
No, but these films, like some of the ones, the
other ones are all really like if you want to
put on the classic.

Speaker 4 (34:41):
Scale, I mean, Good Fellas is not that's literally you
could argue maybe the greatest movie about.

Speaker 1 (34:46):
What I'm saying, so so like that one is non negotiable. Uh,
Training Day? Right?

Speaker 8 (34:54):
No?

Speaker 4 (34:54):
Is that the one you could have listened? You could
have made an argument for Training Day. I think I'm
gonna shock you with mine. Okay, I'm gonna go with
Rob G. I think New Jack City if I have
to see and you know what, I was gonna go
Hood Classics. Then I was like, nah, I forgot Rob's on.
We did Hook Classics. You wouldn't even have seen the
Hood Classics. No, you know, I went to Columbia Journalism school.
What does that mean.

Speaker 2 (35:14):
I'm just saying I don't know.

Speaker 4 (35:15):
Oh so now people who went to club No, that
will get Marcello's on the phone right now from the
streets to Compton. All right, so I'll go for this one,
you know, believe it or not? For me, this was
a little difficult. Good Feelings ain't going nowhere, Scarface ain't
going nowhere. New Jack City for me isn't going anywhere.
Then it comes down to two Denzel movies. Who are
is my favorite actor? Is it training there? American Gangster?

(35:39):
And Believe it or not? I think ooh, I think
American Gangster can go for me. Something about it didn't
Frank Fullick, something about it didn't. Fully it was like
miss something. I don't know.

Speaker 2 (35:54):
It's a good movie. He's great because he's Denzel, but
it can go for me if he didn't.

Speaker 4 (35:59):
So like Denzel, because first of all, when I'm in
my acting bag, they call me Kenze washing all right, Kenzel, Yes,
So so that one can go for me. Now, it
wasn't easy, but that one can go Fanzel like this.
I'm just telling y'all had one moment that's okay, but
that is a moment. What they're gonna learn I'm not
a hater.

Speaker 2 (36:17):
That was a moment. I'm a little jealous. Who you got?

Speaker 8 (36:20):
Yeah, yeah, all the videos, the movies you're talking about.

Speaker 2 (36:23):
The one I'm gonna eliminate is Malibu's most wanted? What
and then respect?

Speaker 4 (36:31):
What's the respect on these movies? Name not Malibu? You're
right about that. That was the term. Sometimes I think people
make movies and they look back, like, why do we
do that?

Speaker 2 (36:39):
Alex? Have you seen themes? What you got?

Speaker 4 (36:40):
I have?

Speaker 8 (36:41):
Which which one's gotta go? You're about to say the
right one before you change? Yes, Yeah, it was between
those two. Ethan Hawk Denzel Washington right got to the
end of the movie and sat there and said they
really gonna do Denzel like that, he's gonna be that
type of cop at the end this like I was like, dude,
I didn't like the ending.

Speaker 4 (36:57):
They didn't John streaming you alone on the R and
somethimes Spoilert is like what two weeks Max?

Speaker 2 (37:05):
Yeah? Years, Rob Okay, Yeah, I don't know. It just
it didn't sit right. Something something also was a little
I wanted more from that.

Speaker 4 (37:12):
He did amazing in that role, sure, which is why
for me it came down to those two. I thought,
I can't Wesley Snipes killed the role of Neino Brown.
Plus too many cultural things come out of that movie
New Jack City, so I can't take that one out
unless and by cultural, I thought Rob Parker would be
with me clearly, not Man.

Speaker 5 (37:30):
What are you trying to say at the MLB, Bro?
He gotta like the Black movie?

Speaker 2 (37:35):
Is that what? I don't know? We're about to go.
I'm about to go. Let me go back on the website.

Speaker 4 (37:39):
Make sure there's some bros on MB, brocause I don't
know the way you've been acting lately.

Speaker 2 (37:42):
I don't know if there's enough bros. Bro, Bronnie James
is reminding you of who.

Speaker 4 (37:48):
You're talking't even saying. Now, I gotta save it for you, Yeah,
Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 2 (37:52):
I'm a woman,
