hit this podcast. They pulled up on that antheliet. They
might have pulled up on some sports shows. They pulled
up everywhere. It's called a rollout. You might even do

tell is this real or is this fake. It's called
a rollout because we're getting ready to drop this album
on you. Jerry Jones is in full rollout mode and

And I believe Michael Parsons is caught up in a rollout.

We'll ultimately Jerry is gonna come to him and be like,
my bad for talking about we had some back room
smoky Las Vegas casino deal without your agent, because we
know that's illegal, you know the CBA. Yes, And also
my bad for saying you missed six games when you
only miss four, so I'm making it look like you're
injury prone. And my bad for saying, you know you
can get hit by train. What are we talking about, Jerry?

And I believe all of this is the rollout for
the mister Marketer himself for miss her, you know, circus
ring leader himself, and Micah got caught up in it,
and he's gonna double back at the end and be like,
wap it up, my bad, here's the contract, here's the money,
because this is what he does with Emmett, this is
what he does with Michael Irvin and CD and Dak
(06:17):
and de Marcus Lawrence, right, and he's gonna do it
with Micah. But he's gonna use this until it's all gone,
until the last second, the twelfth hour, and sign the deal.
And this will be a death roll sug night roll
out for an album. This is the fifty cent rollout.
This is I got shot five times, I'm signing the
M and M. I got beef with John Rule. I'm

doing all this, I got abs. I'm showing I ain't

down before the game, taking a nap, Like all these
things are just building, building, building, adding to the fire
of the thing you just said. There's no way they're
letting them go. They're not trading them, they're not going
to get the players. They need, they're not going to
get the picks they need for that type of player. So,
I mean, I just saw a report that said Micah's

already getting ready, you know, for the rollout, to get
ready to roll out for the season and get ready
to play. And Schottenheimer's talking to him saying it's gonna
take a little time, but he's gonna be like, I'm
sure this thing is already getting handled, and when the
dust clears, Micah would be if he's not the top
paid non quarterback position player in the league, he's gonna
get it and be close. So all of this is

just preseason fodder, old cowboy fodder. This is what Jerry
Jones has done forever. This isn't something new, This isn't
something that should be taking us for a ride having
a surprise at all. This will be done, and Jerry
Jones is being Jerry Jones. And you gotta work in

all these deals in the NFL guys right now.

I played, but they have to feel that they can

That's that's the part I think that we're missing in
this whole thing. And I think when we talk about it,
I'm saying we were the media.

It's good for business right to have these conversations and
have these type of things happen. But these NFL players
don't have as much leverage as they think they do
when they come out and want to demand trades and
say they want to get paid to hold out. Like
we've seen people hold out and their careers never be
the same after that. And so this is a game
where you have to play constantly. You have to put

in the reps. You can't take years off. We saw
Le'Veon Bell do that with the Steelers, right, yeah, yeah,
never the same like We've seen it happen multiple times.
And so the leverage part of this thing when it
comes to these guys, they have to understand. Even Trey Hendrickson, right,
he didn't get what he wanted. He held out the
whole time. We will give you thirty million, but not
for four years. We will give you thirty million, but
this one year, which is a totally dita.

at him in that, and I did it in real

tell you what and might be hanging out at the
bar and saying all drakes on me is Terry mcclaurin,
who is now ninety six million dollar man. Obviously, you

know it breaks down to what's guaranteed. But he's got
a three year contract extension worth heavy on the up,
worth up to ninety six million.

That's gonna end this holdout for him.
Speaker 1 (17:33):
He can finally get back in and get back to
business as they get ready for their regular season opener
against the division no rival in the Giants. So that's
gonna make him carry the sixth highest paid receiver with
an annual average value at around thirty dollars for him,
he already has a thirty million dollar bonus as well.
Speaker 3 (17:51):
But I want to go with this is where I'm
looking at this.
Speaker 1 (17:53):
Yeah, he's gonna put him right around thirty two million
a year, tied with AJ Browne. And I think that's
apropost but also generous. And here's what I mean by that.
When you look at the history of receivers who have
done big things after thirty there's not that that many,
(18:14):
you know, yeah, and not that he won't be I
expecting to be really good. I expect him to be successful.
So it's not a matter of all of a sudden he's
gonna fall off the cliff. But having to make a
long term investment is more of what I'm referring to,
you know, having to do a crazy deal. So guys
like this, look, Tyreek Hill signed a three year deal
ninety million dollars he renegotiated with the Dolphins, and when
(18:34):
he was thirty he had fifty four of that guaranteed.
Speaker 3 (18:37):
DeVante Adams, we know he just got that deal.
Speaker 1 (18:39):
He got his when he was at the age of thirty,
that two year, forty four million dollars deal.
Speaker 3 (18:43):
Annual average around twenty two million.
Speaker 1 (18:45):
So when you start to look at Mike Evans got
a two year extension in last year when he was
thirty one, twenty twenty million dollars there. So he's above
kind of some of these other guys. And he's been
really good. But when you look at his numbers, he
had been insanely good as you would think. He's been
great for the team, really good in that system, but
(19:08):
the numbers aren't astounding. But why the commanders had to
get this done, because it wasn't.
Speaker 3 (19:13):
About him, about the kid.
Speaker 1 (19:15):
It was we got Terry, we got you, Terry, we
got Deebo Samuels, and we got this young quarterback who
was about to be the future for us and the
present and the future. Yes, and Jaden Daniels, and this
was about keeping him comfortable, keeping him having his number
one targeted, number one weapon, and again bringing in more
weapons like a Deebo Samuel and hoping that they can
(19:36):
replicate the success they had last season and maybe even
try to have some more. I know they're gonna run
the ball more, I expect with Jaden because I think
they're gonna say, hey, we're looking at teams that have
had some success with Lamar Jackson, with Josh Allen. When
you have somebody who's that talented, stop trying to, you know,
put it in a box. And I think they're gonna
really utilize him to the best of their ability in
all facets of the game. So having his number one
(19:58):
receiver was necessary, even to the tune of reality probably
overpaid him a little bit for a thirty zerod receiver
who has been really good and productive, but not to
that top tier level. Yeah, and I think they said
we have to do it because the Iron.
Speaker 3 (20:12):
We got to strike now, right.
Speaker 1 (20:14):
We can't just let the Eagles run away with this
division and have it on lock forever. Cowboys are out
of it, is they maybe they'll be a little bit better.
Giants look like there could be a lot better. We
got to strike now for the next two to three
years while we have a special quarterback three you know,
and keeping his weapons around.
Speaker 5 (20:29):
This is all about Jayden Daniels. You hit it.
Speaker 4 (20:32):
They've gotten a glimpse of the future, like you said,
even the present.
Speaker 3 (20:37):
Now they know what they have.
Speaker 4 (20:39):
They have a guy that can can go out and
win you games and get you to the playoffs and
hopefully win big games when they matter. We don't you know.
He's won some of those games in the playoffs as well.
So yeah, this is all about him. And I don't
think they actually overpaid for Terry McLaurin, because again, the
NFL is different than any other sport, right, Like you
look at that ninety six all you want, that means nothing.
(20:59):
That's when addressing they really only they really only paid
him one year thirty million dollars. Really, so if you
think of it that way. It's pretty much on par
for what he should be getting. As you know, the
receiver numbers are what they are, and the value is
the value. And so for him one year, thirty million dollars,
that signing bonus is what matters. I think it's a
great deal. They can always rework it after they need to.
(21:21):
I mean, even if he gets, you know, a down
year from what he had last year, still worth paying
him at thirty for this year and making their quarterback
be comfortable having his top weapon. So, yes, it's all
about Jaydon Daniels here, and I don't think they overpaid
for him.
Speaker 1 (21:37):
Sometimes you pay for convenience, yes, right, we talked about that. Yeah,
so you know there's things you do, like how much
I'd just rather park my.
Speaker 3 (21:46):
Car here exactly?
Speaker 1 (21:47):
You know, Ah, I just much rather eat here. It's
a little nicer, little more elevated food quality. Right, whatever
your thing is, sometimes you have to pay to me.
And then again they did it because they're like, we
got to keep this train rolling and hopefully not only replicate,
maybe increase the productivity that we were able to have
last year.
Speaker 3 (22:05):

Usually their legs go like Carl Pikett's, I don't know, Carl
Pickett's retires before you're playing. I got to know I've

you just can't do what you used to do. And
that Washington was very concerned about that. But I was

with them last thursday, it was my last stop of
my training camp tour. I could have told you about
a thousand dollars they're going to get a deal done.
They weren't really despite what people were reporting, they weren't
far away. They did not find the middle ground.

million of real money. There's incentives in this contract. It's

had to get it done.

Yeah, that last year, the schedule was a little bit easier,

a little tougher. They also have that thing where you
have a rookie quarterback that takes the league bust dorm.
You don't have a lot of film on him as
a defensive coordinator. Now you know what he likes to do.
Washington's gonna have to pivot and make some adjustments, and
so I want to see how how they how they

handled that and how he handles it as well, then
how he handles success, because that's the other thing too,
Like once you get some success in the league, to
rest on your laurels is a big thing for some players,
and I want to see how he takes that next step.

And it happens a lot. Sometimes you don't get a
good enough froster yep and so forth. But get him
mcluy done. When I was with him last Thursday, I
will tell you this, and one of the reasons why
they know they had to get something done. You take
mclarinoff that football team, it's deebo is an older player,
big injury history. I know he's had a great camp,
he looks great, but he's not a true extra shoot.
He's not a guy who's gonna line up with Kerry,

you know. Yeah, you got to reduce him. He can't
really play outside like McLaurin can. Right, they have no
I'm telling you they're not very deep at receiver. That
that's where I thought McLaurin had leverage. I know he
didn't get quite what he wanted. He still did well
in his contract, and I think it's tight if you
look at the odds, I think it's much tighter. And
remember no one is repeating that divisions and so forth,

about the fifty three rosters being trimmed down to that

And I believe all of this is the rollout for
the mister Marketer himself for miss her, you know, circus
ring leader himself, and Micah got caught up in it,
and he's gonna double back at the end and be like,
wap it up, my bad, here's the contract, here's the money,
because this is what he does with Emmett, this is
what he does with Michael Irvin and CD and Dak

and de Marcus Lawrence, right, and he's gonna do it
with Micah. But he's gonna use this until it's all gone,
until the last second, the twelfth hour, and sign the deal.

gonna make him carry the sixth highest paid receiver with

he already has a thirty million dollar bonus as well.

But I want to go with this is where I'm
looking at this.

Yeah, he's gonna put him right around thirty two million
a year, tied with AJ Browne. And I think that's
apropost but also generous. And here's what I mean by that.
When you look at the history of receivers who have
done big things after thirty there's not that that many,

you know, yeah, and not that he won't be I
expecting to be really good. I expect him to be successful.
So it's not a matter of all of a sudden he's
gonna fall off the cliff. But having to make a
long term investment is more of what I'm referring to,
you know, having to do a crazy deal. So guys
like this, look, Tyreek Hill signed a three year deal
ninety million dollars he renegotiated with the Dolphins, and when

he was thirty he had fifty four of that guaranteed.

DeVante Adams, we know he just got that deal.
Speaker 1 (18:39):
He got his when he was at the age of thirty,
that two year, forty four million dollars deal.

Annual average around twenty two million.

So when you start to look at Mike Evans got
a two year extension in last year when he was
thirty one, twenty twenty million dollars there. So he's above
kind of some of these other guys. And he's been
really good. But when you look at his numbers, he
had been insanely good as you would think. He's been
great for the team, really good in that system, but

the numbers aren't astounding. But why the commanders had to
get this done, because it wasn't.

About him, about the kid.

It was we got Terry, we got you, Terry, we
got Deebo Samuels, and we got this young quarterback who
was about to be the future for us and the
present and the future. Yes, and Jaden Daniels, and this
was about keeping him comfortable, keeping him having his number
one targeted, number one weapon, and again bringing in more
weapons like a Deebo Samuel and hoping that they can

replicate the success they had last season and maybe even
try to have some more. I know they're gonna run
the ball more, I expect with Jaden because I think
they're gonna say, hey, we're looking at teams that have
had some success with Lamar Jackson, with Josh Allen. When
you have somebody who's that talented, stop trying to, you know,
put it in a box. And I think they're gonna
really utilize him to the best of their ability in
all facets of the game. So having his number one
(19:58):
receiver was necessary, even to the tune of reality probably
overpaid him a little bit for a thirty zerod receiver
who has been really good and productive, but not to
that top tier level. Yeah, and I think they said
we have to do it because the Iron.

We got to strike now, right.
Speaker 1 (20:14):
We can't just let the Eagles run away with this
division and have it on lock forever. Cowboys are out
of it, is they maybe they'll be a little bit better.
Giants look like there could be a lot better. We
got to strike now for the next two to three
years while we have a special quarterback three you know,
and keeping his weapons around.

This is all about Jayden Daniels. You hit it.

They've gotten a glimpse of the future, like you said,
even the present.

Now they know what they have.

They have a guy that can can go out and
win you games and get you to the playoffs and
hopefully win big games when they matter. We don't you know.
He's won some of those games in the playoffs as well.
So yeah, this is all about him. And I don't
think they actually overpaid for Terry McLaurin, because again, the
NFL is different than any other sport, right, Like you
look at that ninety six all you want, that means nothing.

That's when addressing they really only they really only paid
him one year thirty million dollars. Really, so if you
think of it that way. It's pretty much on par
for what he should be getting. As you know, the
receiver numbers are what they are, and the value is
the value. And so for him one year, thirty million dollars,
that signing bonus is what matters. I think it's a
great deal. They can always rework it after they need to.
(21:21):
I mean, even if he gets, you know, a down
year from what he had last year, still worth paying
him at thirty for this year and making their quarterback
be comfortable having his top weapon. So, yes, it's all
about Jaydon Daniels here, and I don't think they overpaid
for him.

Sometimes you pay for convenience, yes, right, we talked about that. Yeah,
so you know there's things you do, like how much
I'd just rather park my.

but it's not going to be as easy. They're not
going to sneak up on teams. Second year quarterback play
from Jaydon Daniels. I'm excited to see what happens. A

because defensive coordinators don't know about you, defenses don't know
about you. They know about him now, and so we're
going to get to see if he's able to get
through that sophomore slump and have another stellar season in Washington.

want to guarantee very much money in year two because
Terry turns thirty. By the way, he's no injury history. Yep,

you know, but something seems to happen between thirty and
thirty two with receivers. I've talked to so many veteran receivers.
Usually their legs go like Carl Pikett's, I don't know, Carl
Pickett's retires before you're playing. I got to know I've
forgot no car a little bit. He kind of said
the same thing to me. There becomes an age where
you just can't do what you used to do. And
that Washington was very concerned about that. But I was

with them last thursday, it was my last stop of
my training camp tour. I could have told you about
a thousand dollars they're going to get a deal done.
They weren't really despite what people were reporting, they weren't
far away. They did not find the middle ground.

They were not doing thirty three or thirty two a
million of real money. There's incentives in this contract. It's
going to be less than was reported, but it's fine.
Look he mclaurin's problem was he played with mostly until

hurt him with the new front office who didn't draft him,
but they know it's a super high character guy and
if they didn't do him right, this would have been
a problem. I could tell you in the locker room,

had to get it done.

Why do you think they'll take a step back?

Yeah, that last year, the schedule was a little bit easier,
a little bit lighter. This year schedule, schedule will be
a little tougher. They also have that thing where you
have a rookie quarterback that takes the league bust dorm.
You don't have a lot of film on him as
a defensive coordinator. Now you know what he likes to do.
Washington's gonna have to pivot and make some adjustments, and
so I want to see how how they how they

handled that and how he handles it as well, then
how he handles success, because that's the other thing too,
Like once you get some success in the league, to
rest on your laurels is a big thing for some players,
and I want to see how he takes that next step.

And it happens a lot. Sometimes you don't get a
good enough froster yep and so forth. But get him
mcluy done. When I was with him last Thursday, I
will tell you this, and one of the reasons why
they know they had to get something done. You take
mclarinoff that football team, it's deebo is an older player,
big injury history. I know he's had a great camp,
he looks great, but he's not a true extra shoot.
He's not a guy who's gonna line up with Kerry,

you know. Yeah, you got to reduce him. He can't
really play outside like McLaurin can. Right, they have no
I'm telling you they're not very deep at receiver. That
that's where I thought McLaurin had leverage. I know he
didn't get quite what he wanted. He still did well
in his contract, and I think it's tight if you
look at the odds, I think it's much tighter. And
remember no one is repeating that divisions and so forth,

about the fifty three rosters being trimmed down to that
today there are you know, some receivers out there that
maybe they can go and get and get some depth

give him as he goes into his sophomore season.
