Just one pill.

Speaker 1 (01:42):
A lead provides up to twelve hours of paying relief
so that you can keep moving use as director. Coming up,
we'll be down with the King for the first time
this football season.

Sean King.

Speaker 1 (01:57):
Oh yeah, the former NFL quarterback and Fox Sports Radio
NFL analysts.

Speaker 4 (02:03):
We'll talk with Sean King. Coming up as well.

Speaker 1 (02:08):
Rob g the NFL kicked off his season last night
and the Eagles won twenty four to twenty.

Speaker 4 (02:16):
I think people, you know, they spread was eight and
a half.

Speaker 1 (02:18):
A lot of people think that the Cowboys are no
good and now with no Michael Parsons, it's going to
be all done right and they're finished. They're gonna lose
fifteen games or whatever it is. It certainly didn't look
like that last night.

Speaker 5 (02:33):
Yeah, they came up short, but if you watch that game,
the Cowboys gave Philly everything they could handle.

Speaker 4 (02:39):
And in fact, if CD LAMB.

Speaker 5 (02:42):
Because there's two of those four not turned into CD
LAMB chops lamb shanks lamb shanks.

Speaker 4 (02:48):
You know what I mean, good chops.

Speaker 5 (02:49):
Are to Dallas wins that game, and you mentioned that
he had a key a couple of key drops, but
the most egregious one lay in the fourth quarter on
third down. Dak Prescott, feeling the pre as your steps
up in the pocket, lofts a beautiful ball about forty
yards down the field hit ceed Lamb between the eight
and the eight, bounces off his chest, off his hands, incomplete.

(03:11):
If he would have caught that ball, Dallas is in
the red zone down by Ford, the ability to number
one run out the clock and number two win that game.
Unfortunately that didn't happen. And then later on in the
two minute drill, fourth down and three CD Lamb one
on one on the outside, gets open on a go
ball and for whatever reason, decides he has to lay

(03:32):
out and die for a pass that he could have
just kept running towards. I think he was in his
head at that point. Of course, bounces off his fingertips incomplete.
Eagles win the game. But as you mentioned, Cowboys were
right there.

Speaker 1 (03:42):
Right I thought that defense was going to fall apart
because you know they traded Michael passes. My god, and
I'm not gonna sit here and go like Michael Paulson
is in the great player.

Speaker 4 (03:52):
He is but I hate to break it to you.

Speaker 1 (03:56):
One guy, if you're talking about a quarterback, like an
all time great couquarterback, you take them off your team,
your season's over.

Speaker 4 (04:03):
I got that.

Speaker 1 (04:04):
Most players, though, I'm sorry, they're not going to be
the difference that much.

Speaker 4 (04:12):
And that's what you saw.

Speaker 1 (04:14):
Their defense wasn't holes all over the places and they
couldn't you know, like, oh my god, how are you
going to operate?

Speaker 4 (04:20):
You know, other guys can play football too.

Speaker 1 (04:23):
When you get in there and and are they losing
a great player like that the same roster. No, I'll
give you that, But that doesn't mean that it's over.
It just tells you how you can move on from people.
And it's not the end of the world. They weren't
going to win a super Bowl with them, so they're
not gonna win a super Bowl without them, you know

(04:43):
what I mean.

Speaker 4 (04:43):
Like, it doesn't change that much.

Speaker 1 (04:45):
We forget that this team had won twelve games three
years in a row prior to last year, and that
got hurt last year. Right, that is a is he
the greatest quarterback?

Speaker 4 (04:58):
No?

Speaker 1 (04:59):
Would he be some I would pay sixty million too
and think I'm gonna go to Super Bowl.

Speaker 4 (05:03):
With dak No, that can't paign himself sixty million. But
can he play?

Speaker 1 (05:06):
Yes he can play, and yes he's gonna give the
Cowboys a chance to win, and yes the Cowboys are
gonna compete.

Speaker 4 (05:14):
Last night was a perfect example.

Speaker 1 (05:16):
If I was Jerry Jones and I didn't see his
interview after the game, I would have said, Michael who
I would have been my first response, just to let
people know that when you think it's the end of
the world.

Speaker 4 (05:27):
Oh my god, how could you trade so and so?
My god? You know what are they doing the Dallas
Mavericks Luca?

Speaker 1 (05:33):
Oh my god, let that cancel the season, tear up
the franchise, burn it down.

Speaker 4 (05:39):
It's over now, right, No, you move on. You had
me until you brought up Luca.

Speaker 1 (05:44):
But but my point is, my point is I don't
care who you are. People get traded all the time.
Some of the greatest players in sports history have been traded.

Speaker 6 (05:52):
Oh yeah, I mean, look, we're getting ready to watch
a game right now, right now, the Chiefs. Who would
have thought Joe Montana have been there? It wasn't like
you know he he you thought he was gonna retire
forty nine or even Joe Montenna went all right, So
here's the thing I'll start backwards. I absolutely believe Ceedee
Lamb cost them a chance to win that game multiple times.

(06:13):
I don't know what he was doing. Some of those
are easy catches. Maybe the one he laid out which
he really didn't have to maybe it was a little
more difficult. But he absolutely was not himself. He admitted
it afterwards. He said he puts this game, the loss,
solely on himself, so he left something to be desirable.
But here's where I'll push back on you, Rob. I
totally get what you're implying. Right, Ceedee Lamb makes a

(06:36):
couple of players here there, they got a chance to
win his game. But I look at things like this
where Micah or someone of his ilk. Maybe it's Aden Hutchinson,
maybe it's TJ. Watt. Maybe it's little plays they make.
They might only make two to three plays in a game,
but they can be huge. Right, it's third and eight.
They got that huge sack. You know, they stripped a
guy the ball, they make a fumble, they cause a fumble,

(06:58):
so they can make those special Not that he's gonna
all of a sudden, you know, have four sacks and
two interscept not that, and I think there was a
chance for that in the first half because the Eagles,
the Cowboys offense is going thriving, and you're like, this
is when you and I were talking during the season.
I kept telling people Jerry Jones and the Cowboys believe
we're twelve and five team if everybody's healthy. Last year

(07:18):
for them, la.

Speaker 4 (07:19):
La la la la da da. They don't want to hear.
They wash it out.

Speaker 6 (07:21):
We don't even remember that because all we know is
we're twelve and five when everybody's healthy. That's what they
sold themselves on. So the first half looks like that version.
But the other side of the ball, defensively, they let
the Eagles go score touchdown. Cowboys score again, touchdown, even gave.

Speaker 4 (07:35):
Up twenty four points on the road. You thought they
had a bad defense. I'm talking about the first half.

Speaker 6 (07:39):
And what I'm saying is if maybe a Micah style,
well Mica in this case literally, but that talent of
a pass rusher, maybe you get to them once or
twice and then they kick a field goal, so they
don't score a touchdown because all the good offense you
had in the first half, which was pretty much the
only offense of the game, Dallas had more sacks than
the Eagles. You would have thought, right, But I'm just
saying three straight touchdowns. He helps participate in one of those,

(08:02):
just being a field goal, and that might be the difference. Also,
the key thing when you watch that game, the defense
held up pretty well for the Cowboys, but it was
those annoying Jalen Hurt scrambles fourteen carries for sixty two yards.
Those annoying pickups were the little things that continue to
keep drives a love for them that you would hope
a guy like mircro Pison's can force the edge, keep
the edge and keep him from being amazed stick.

Speaker 1 (08:23):
I think people made it where they thought the team
was gonna collapse because they got rid of Michael Parsons, seriously,
and I think that's where the over valuing of people.
And I'm not saying sure he could make some plays,
but he also was out there when they gave up
a forty piece to Green Bay in a playoff game
right after coming off a twelve and five seasons. So

(08:43):
there are moments when he's out there as well where
maybe they ain't that good that game, they had no
nobody thought they were going to beat the Eagles in
Week one on the road or whatever, and they were
in that game and they played a good game, and yes,
could he have made a player two, Sure, But my
point is you move on from people and it ain't

(09:05):
the end of the world. And I think people sometimes
overvalue people. I told you, and football, a quarterback is
the most of them. You take certain quarterbacks off a team,
I'm with you, you got no shot. You lose your
starting quarterback in week one, your season's over, right, But
almost every other position you have a chance at just

(09:26):
replacing them and then having to figure out what you
need to do to compensate a little bit, you know
what I mean, cheat a little bit because you don't
have that same guy. I'm not saying he's a bomb
or Micah pars isn't any good. I just don't think
it's the end of the world as people painted it
for the Dallas Cowboys not to have him. I think

(09:47):
the difference talent is not as good, but it doesn't
mean that they can't be good. No, I totally get
what you say, and I think we talked about this before.

Speaker 4 (09:55):
When you're a.

Speaker 6 (09:57):
When you're the Rams, you got some nice pieces. Then
you go out and you get O'Dell Beckham Junior, you
go out and get Von Millery. You throw out, you
say one, two, three, blanked them picks, and you go
all in that to me, Yes, because we got a
good squad, we got a quarterback, we got our coach,
we got a nice system, and you add some pieces
and the Cowboys still aren't quite there where just having
Michael alone would have made that difference. But by one

(10:19):
thing I will say, is a guy like that the
reason why they're so coveted, the reason why the Packers
play him, paid him that money, and TJ. Watt just
got that money, and hendricks just got them. Tray Hendrickson
just got that money. These guys get that money because
they just need three special plays. I don't need you
to be a linebacker to get fifteen tackles in the game.
You don't have to be a safety. They got eight

(10:39):
to nine tackles in a couple of kays.

Speaker 4 (10:41):
So TJ.

Speaker 1 (10:41):
Watt right with the Steelers, tell me the three plays
that they made because they haven't won a playoff game
in nine years.

Speaker 6 (10:48):
Well, me and you've been their quarterback, okay, right, Me
and quarterback never want to playoff.

Speaker 1 (10:54):
Okay, so that's what I'm trying to tell you, and
why because they don't have a quarterback, which.

Speaker 6 (10:58):
Is a more important position. There's six or seven people
in this league. They want to make the absolutely difference, and.

Speaker 4 (11:03):
They gave them all that money. But it didn't. It hadn't.
It didn't want them many.

Speaker 6 (11:07):
But what I'm saying, so let's go back, let's go
to the trade. The Packers trade for Micah because they say,
we got our quarterback. We believe in to the tune
of a bunch of money, he's our guy.

Speaker 4 (11:16):
We're sick.

Speaker 6 (11:17):
We got a nice young linebacker corps. We've got a
couple of dbs. We got They feel as if they
have a really good roster, one of the best rosters
in this league. And they're also very young. They're like,
we're ascending. So they paid Micah to literally just come
out and make three plays a game one and one
could be a sack, one could be attacking for a loss,

(11:37):
and one can be a passive, like we just need
you to be spend most.

Speaker 1 (11:41):
They overspent and spent too much, and and they got
to get something out of it because if they don't.

Speaker 4 (11:48):
It will it will handst it could hold them back
for a while.

Speaker 6 (11:51):
I get what you're saying, but that's why you're gonna
pay it Chris Jones, because the Chiefs go, you know what,
we're really really good and he can be that guy
that goals it makes those two or three plays that
sealed the deal. And my last example, Aaron Donald what
he did on that Super Bowl run. He literally made
the game winning tackle sack to on. Jimmy g Like,

(12:12):
when you get that guy and you have a good roster,
all I need you to do is be special.

Speaker 1 (12:17):
Make those icy for that bad pass interference call that's
set up a first and goal at the one.

Speaker 4 (12:23):
That's how they won that Super Bowl. That's how they
want it. They went Aaron back there. No do you
remember that on third night Joe Burrow, By the way,
I made Joe Burrow what it was. It was a
bad call at in the end zone that changed that game.

Speaker 1 (12:37):
But anyway, eight seven to seven ninety nine on Fox
eight seven, seven, nine nine six sixty three sixty nine,
did last night prove that Michael Parsons wasn't as important
to the Dallas Cowboys as.

Speaker 4 (12:50):
He thinks he was. I mean, we'll continue that conversation
next with you. This is interesting. I want to hear
from people.

Speaker 1 (12:56):
Eight seven, seven ninety nine on Fox it is The

Speaker 6 (13:57):
Okay, Rob G see our couple Robin Kelvin on a
funky flashback Friday. Hopefully you've had a good week getting
ready for the weekend. On this Friday, we got Sean
King coming up here in about seven minutes or so.
If you got ak n ees, you gotta stiff back
joints not cooperating. Some days your body is just like no.
And on those days, luckily there's a leave. But just

(14:19):
one pill of lead provides up to twelve hours for
paying relief, so you can keep moving.

Speaker 4 (14:22):
Used as direct. You got a touchdown in this game,
rob Who was that Patrick Mahomes do a touchdown?

Speaker 2 (14:30):
No?

Speaker 6 (14:30):
Oh, that was your boy Justin Herbert. Who I think
Rob G has a crush on just a slight.

Speaker 4 (14:37):
One, Rob G. You don't have a man, do you?
Justin Herbert? No oh, he could get it. Listen, Wow,
my goodness, crazy, Thank you Tiger.

Speaker 5 (14:47):
Now, if you're building a quarterback, it's him, one doubt,
like even more than Lamar, even more than Josh Allen.
Justin Herbert just looks he's central placking NFL.

Speaker 6 (14:57):
He is a nineteen eighty seven Super Eighties tough guy
film like the quarterback.

Speaker 4 (15:03):
He's got the part. I gotta give you. I get
that get he always wears his wash jacket everywhere. He's
that guy. He is absolutely that three o'clock high movie.
Just that the numbers don't bear it out though.

Speaker 6 (15:13):
Not in the postseason, not well, like twenty eight touchdowns
and three picks looks crazy if I just told you that.

Speaker 1 (15:19):
Yeah, but he's had other years that not not the greatest,
like their offense, remember, they just I don't know, it
just hasn't been exactly what people thought.

Speaker 6 (15:27):
And that's the challenge when everybody keeps going Trevor Lawreen, No,
he is the proto all he all drooling over.

Speaker 4 (15:32):
He's the one.

Speaker 1 (15:32):
And then Justin h Oh, he's the one if you
look at him. I mean it's like and last year
they went away from him, they you know, and Jim.

Speaker 6 (15:39):
That's what Jim Harvard is gonna do, which is why
this drive was interesting. They did a lot of passing
on this touchdown drive here if you if you you know,
hadn't had a chance to see it. Uh, they go down,
they went down and got a nice one, bro real
quick stat before we switch over here, he's two and
seven against the chiefs in his career two and seven,
So this will be if he can.

Speaker 1 (15:58):
And I will say this though, Rob g you'll probably
be with me on this, Okay, Brandon Staley cost him
at least to it if you want me to what
you gotta bring up because you ain't wrong right, you
can't turn left right now right. There were a couple
of games where they should have easily won, and he
doing stuff going forward and there.

Speaker 4 (16:20):
Already what are you go going on the broadcasting? What
are you doing this weekend?

Speaker 7 (16:23):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (16:24):
Wait?

Speaker 4 (16:24):
How they lose that?

Speaker 6 (16:25):
And then he had uh, he had what's the brother
Anthony Anthony Lynn? Anthony Lynn didn't have Anthony Lynn too.
I think his rookie year too. Yeah, he ain't had
the best to coach you. But Brandon Staley, I'm cut
him a little a little slack.

Speaker 5 (16:40):
Well, in fairness to him, he wouldn't have been starting
as a rookie if their doctor had not punctured the
lung of to Rod Taylor's, who.

Speaker 6 (16:46):
I think could have been a solid sixteen seventeen starter.
I mean, you ain't one of the best in the world,
but Tarry Taylor was a He's all right, I.

Speaker 1 (16:55):
Have been like a five hundred team with Rod Tyler.
All right, Uh, we did want to talk about this.
Charles Barkley, sound say something is terrible?

Speaker 4 (17:04):
What do you say?

Speaker 2 (17:05):
So?

Speaker 5 (17:05):
Charles Barkley, of course is making the rounds to promote
whatever it is he doing, and you was talking about
something with the NBA that I think you could apply
to this game as well, because it's on YouTube tonight
here in the NFL. Take a listen about what Charles
Barkley thinks out the NBA has really derailed their fan experience.

Speaker 4 (17:24):
I think the NBA has got a big problem.

Speaker 8 (17:26):
How are regular fans gonna like, Okay, it's tuesdayfess when
they start putting games, where do I go? Well, well,
like cause you know sometimes the game is going to
be on Peacock and like it's not going to be
on NBC. I think that's a huge dilemma. I think
it's a big deal because they just took all the
money from all three networks.

Speaker 4 (17:48):
I don't think they give about the fans, and I
think this is going to come back to bite them,
to be honest with you.

Speaker 8 (17:54):
And then the thing that's scared this deal is for
eleven years, so now people can plan all they want
to for the next level for years. They don't give
it about the fans. They're like, y'all, if y'all find
the games, fine, just make sure to check clears.

Speaker 6 (18:07):
If y'all find the game, fine, man, listen it is
I'm not gonna lie. It is getting so complicated. You
can even use fights, you throw fights in this Now.
I don't know if it's on Apple. I don't know
if it's a pay per view. I don't know if
it's Netflix. You and I were talking about this, not
that we want to watch it, but the tyson and
uh watching and we're not. But I'm using it as

(18:27):
an example.

Speaker 2 (18:27):
What is it on?

Speaker 6 (18:28):
I don't know this fight? Well, this one is on
the zone, Well, this one is on It's it's getting crazy.
The NBA used to have one or two. You knew
where it was, you knew how you can find it,
and it was just a gimming You sat down, plopped
in your chair, out and one of two chicks, no boom.
And then of course you even kind of knew the days,
right because this is a Thursday. Okay, it's the NBA. Okay,
this is been you knew what it was. And now

(18:51):
it's getting crazy robbing. The assumption is that you got it. Well,
maybe I don't have Hulu and Amazon and Peacock and
Apple TV and Prime. Same thing with the NFL right now,
the game is on YouTube TV. Everybody doesn't have everything.

Speaker 4 (19:06):
There's a lot of people not watching the night because
they don't have YouTube.

Speaker 6 (19:09):
Yeah, And it's just the assumption that everybody has everything
and you'll find it. And to me, this is where
you could maybe the middling fan. I mean, if I'm
a die hard, die hard, okay, maybe you figure out.
Because I'm just a diar. I'm gonna have to figure
out a way to do it. But that middling fan
who I enjoy the sport, I really like it a lot.
But dude, I got kids, I got a wife, I
got a job. I can't go through all this and
you start to lose a little bit of that interest

(19:31):
right where it's like I'm keeping up, but I'm not
all in because I can't find the game.

Speaker 4 (19:35):
No, there's no doubt.

Speaker 1 (19:36):
And a lot of people I've talked to said basically,
they feel like they've capped out in the United States
and that's not where their market is. What they're doing,
they and they de streaming is all over the world,
and people over there all right, you can't get it,
you can't find it.

Speaker 4 (19:51):
That's okay. They'll be watching the game in Paris. They'll
be watching this to.

Speaker 1 (19:55):
See Wimby, you know what I mean, Or like they
just the money was too big and they don't care
about it. But I tell you there is something about it,
because we've talked about it. With boxing. Boxing lost something
and it used to be a special thing in this country.
A big fight and the pay per view and the
twelve midnight Eastern time starts and kids grow up without it.

(20:18):
That's the the part you have to be careful of.
I talked to you before about the Yankees having games
on Friday nights on local free TV, you know what
I mean, Like they feel like, sure, we could just
take the money from yes or whatever Apple te No,
we want people because average Joe's.

Speaker 6 (20:38):
They know their kids who maybe their parents can't afford
all that, right, nine year olds to see the Yankees
and feel like a present.

Speaker 4 (20:46):
Hey, I live in New York.

Speaker 6 (20:47):
I love my Yankees, and then eventually grow up and
do whatever they need to do to be able to
you know, get today right, but don't lose them, And
you're absolutely right. You don't want to alienate fan base
just because oh they got it, we got them.

Speaker 4 (20:58):
They love us, don't. You just don't.

Speaker 6 (21:00):
I don't know, man, And you don't know how many
kids a dad, a mom will start watching less. They
still watch, but maybe less, and then if they're watching less,
that means their kids aren't really watch.

Speaker 1 (21:09):
I think people watch less because there's too many outlets
that you need and everybody doesn't have all of them.

Speaker 4 (21:16):
You know, you might decide I'm gonna be a peacock person.
I'm gonna be I'm an.

Speaker 1 (21:20):
Amazon because gus, what you got Amazon prom I got
Amazon problem. That's why I'm Amazon, because I'm already paying
for it for the packages, and all I need to
do is get one or two packages a month and
that's actually paid from.

Speaker 4 (21:31):
Amma yourself exactly.

Speaker 6 (21:33):
But you're right, Listen, Apple, TV, Hulu, Prime, Disney Plus, Laskets.
It gets so much that I do feel like it
loses just the ability for your real fans are just
access and have access and really enjoy, And you don't
want it to become just highlights or only people are
only consuming highlights. All right, we got Sean King on
the other side of trending Right now, Steven Sager, What's training?

Yeah, that'll be a day. That'll be a day.

Speaker 6 (22:13):
It's The Odd Couple Robin Kevin on a funky flashback Friday,
And do you summer plans include a new job? Want

Speaker 4 (22:29):
You need to.

Speaker 6 (22:30):
Right now, we are joined by our man, Sean King,
former NFL quarterback, Fox Sports Radio NFL analysts Real Sean
King on X Sean, what I meant?

Speaker 4 (22:40):
What's happening?

Speaker 2 (22:41):
What's going on? Fellas? How's everybody doing?

Speaker 4 (22:43):
Football is back? Brother? I know you excited about that.

Speaker 2 (22:47):
Absolutely watching the game now just to herd with in
the Chargers drove right down the field.

Speaker 4 (22:51):
Go Chargers.

Speaker 6 (22:54):
Yeah, well, good point, because everybody's been hard on him,
madd he hasn't really lived up to what they thought
he would be.

Speaker 4 (22:58):
He got a couple of recepts on that drive.

Speaker 6 (23:00):
But just walk us through, Uh, just kind of maybe
both sides of this what you are Actually, let's stick
with the Chargers. What are you expecting them year two
that the Harbaugh experiment and in another year of justin
Herbert maybe trying to prove some of the doubters wrong.

Speaker 2 (23:13):
I think they're really good. I think so much to
their success depends on Quinton Johnson. I mean, you utilize
a first round asset on a wide receiver and it
looks like he can't catch up to this point in
his career, and they need another weapon for Herbert mccaukey
looks like a really good slot much receiver. I'm really
high on a mari and Hampton, but they need that
other receiver. I know they brought Keenan Allen back, but

(23:36):
literally he's might me and Rob's age, so.

Speaker 4 (23:39):
You know what you want to start like that already?

Speaker 2 (23:42):
My dad, that young fellow. They need Quinton Johnson to
start living up to that potential.

Speaker 1 (23:48):
How about the Chiefs? Where are they going? We know
what happened last year. I thought they were a lucky
fifteen and two teams and a lot of breaks go
their way.

Speaker 4 (23:59):
I don't know. I'm just I'm not high on the Chiefs.
Where are you on them?

Speaker 2 (24:04):
I'm not as high as I have been. If anybody
that's watching the games, they'd be worthy. Ran in the
Travis Kelce on the first drive. Yeah, saw that, Like
he's out with a shoulder injury. Consider where she Rice
is suspended. I already had question marks about their athleticism
at their skill positions. I mean, maybe Mahomes and that
defense can wheel them to another deep playoff run. But

(24:26):
I think the era of the Chiefs as we knew
it is over. We'll see if they can reconfigure it
and keep going.

Speaker 4 (24:33):
We'll stay there for a minute.

Speaker 6 (24:35):
And Rob and I have talked about this because Patrick
Mahomes Andy reiding their system. They and the defense has
been stellar for the last two three years. They can
stay in the game and then he can make a
player too. But why don't they go out and go
get an explosive guy. Why DeVante Adams is sitting around
and hey, you know I'm available. Why don't they go
get a guy that you can just you mentioned it
has athleticism where you clearly see this person's a game breaker.

Speaker 4 (24:57):
Why don't they?

Speaker 2 (24:59):
I don't know that the turn ever since they decided
not to give Kyreek Hill that big extension, and I think,
what's happening? While I'm not as high on them as
the division has gotten much better. Denver is really good
on paper if on Nicks tapes of stuff, they're playing
the Charges of the Night. The Raiders now have Pete
Carroll with a Marshawn Lynch clone, and asked, do you.

Speaker 1 (25:19):
Really expect something out of Pete Carroll at seventy five?

Speaker 4 (25:22):
Really? What do you what do you expect?

Speaker 2 (25:25):
You?

Speaker 4 (25:26):
What do you expected? What do you expected from the Raiders?
What do you expect?

Speaker 2 (25:30):
Still prominent in sports media, and you and Pete about
the same.

Speaker 4 (25:33):
No we are not, No, we are not. We're not
close to age. We're not close.

Speaker 2 (25:39):
Got it? No, no, no, still got it?

Speaker 4 (25:41):
Got what?

Speaker 2 (25:41):
He still got it? I mean, do you see him
in practice?

Speaker 1 (25:44):
That's why that's why Seattle, that's why Seattle ran him
out of there, right, I mean, if he still had it.

Speaker 2 (25:49):
Come on, man, No, I think I think Russell Wilson
was on the back end of his career and he
did not I think transition to where they should have been,
which was more offensive dominique. They had one. They're running
the football, playing great defense, and when their defense age,
they never really took on a new identity. I think

(26:10):
he gets that identity back here. They got a running
back that he loves, an elite TIGHTI end, and a
good defense. So we'll see. I'm not saying the Raiders
are Super Bowl contenders, but I do think they're are
a lot better than they have been, which the conversation started.
Kansas City's in a much tougher division than they have
been the last couple of years.

Speaker 1 (26:27):
I'm just gonna say, Pete Carroll's gonna wind up like
Tony LaRussa when he came back for the Cardinals and
they were like, what what in the world He had
gotten into the Hall of Fame and he came back
as a manager at seventy. I like, I gotta be
careful with that. Imagine this time. Tell me about the
opener yesterday and the Cowboys. I mean, they didn't fall

(26:50):
apart without Micah I mean, they were in that game.
If there were a couple of catches there by Cede
Lamb chop, maybe they would have even won that Lamb shock.

Speaker 4 (26:59):
That's right.

Speaker 2 (27:01):
Well, two things from that game. I hope the NFL
suspends Jalen Carter for four weeks. We agree with that
incomprehensible that you would spin on another man. That's like
the lowest form of disrespect. And I hope they make
an example out of him. And that's why I'm hesitant
to play wide receivers except maybe one or two. See,
he spent all this offseason getting a back tattoo instead

(27:23):
of working on catching the football. He was awful. He
got it, and it's crazy because he ended up with
one hundred and two yards receiven But if he just
makes the regular catches that you'd expect a number three
receiver to make, definitely a number one that you're compensating
at that level, the Cowboys probably beat the Eagles.

Speaker 6 (27:41):
Yeah, what did you see any absence of Michael Parsons?
You see the remnants of that or was there some
plays that he had that you said if he was
there that could have happened, or just they look fine
without him?

Speaker 2 (27:51):
Well, anytime you take away of Michael Parkinson's talent, there's
gonna be a drop off. But it's not like the
Cowboys were elite defense. With Michael Parsons having said that,
we won't know who won this trade for the next
two years. It'll be pending if Jerry can utilize those
two picks with his own two picks and drew four
starters over the next two years that look like good players,
and then utilize the money they didn't give Michael Parsons

(28:14):
to go subsidize some other possessions on the roster. We
could turn around and this could be a really good
Cowboy team of the year and a half. So we
don't We won't know who won this trade for at
least another year year and a half.

Speaker 1 (28:26):
Where are you on Justin Fields? Kelvin thinks he's gonna
have a big year with the Jets to go into
the playoffs.

Speaker 6 (28:31):
World said that, and he says that he's going to
be getting John where you won Justin Fields.

Speaker 1 (28:37):
I mean, this his third team in three years, and
you know, the Jets are trying to push the Sam
Darnold conversation that that's what he's going to wind up being.

Speaker 4 (28:47):
Where are you.

Speaker 2 (28:49):
In the right situation justin fields can be impactful like
Jalen Hurts. Really similar skill sets, really similar body types.
I don't think Hurts or Field could go somewhere and
have to be a efficient passer weekend and week out
for their team to win at a high level. So
it'll be is brief haul back to being the brief

(29:11):
talliwell before Aaron Rodgers got there. Is Garrett Wilson ready
to take off after getting the extension? Is Aaron Glenn
ready to be a head coach? Like? And what nobody's
talking about are the Jets the good on defense? Because
I have no idea, So we're gonna learn a lot,
not just about fields, but what's around fields there in
New York and going.

Speaker 6 (29:31):
Up to the Eagles the other game, we didn't really
talk about that. On the other side of the Cowboys,
did you like what you saw from them coming out
Super Bowl rating?

Speaker 4 (29:36):
Super Bowl champs?

Speaker 6 (29:38):
And what is up with aj Brown only getting one
target at the five minutes left in the game. Is
that just the way the game unfolded or is something there?

Speaker 2 (29:46):
It's part of playing receiver with Jalen Hurts, like he's
so impactful on the game. He influences winning and losing.
But he's not a traditional quarterback. And that's why Ajay
start reading books on the sideline. Can you imagine being
a wide receiver of his caliber and you don't get
the ball thrown in your direction until the quarter?

Speaker 4 (30:08):
But is that just Jalen Hurts?

Speaker 1 (30:10):
Who's the offensive coordinator who's sitting there watching the game
and thinking to themselves that he hasn't gotten the pass?
And it's okay, that's what I want to know. You
can tell me about Jalen Hurts.

Speaker 4 (30:21):
All you want?

Speaker 1 (30:21):
Is he calling every play? Is he the one who's
what's your offensive coordinator doing well?

Speaker 2 (30:27):
I think a lot of it falls on the coordinator.
I think somehow designed plays they have a j in
the wrong position. But if I'm the starting quarterback, I
get you to make sure my best players get the ball.
I'm going to sign on a coach man, we gotta
get a leap in the ball. Baby. We ain't even
look his way, even if we got to throw him
a screen, a hitch on a three step throw, like,
we gotta get him involved and get him touches. Now

(30:49):
they're still one, and they won largely because of Jalen
Hurt's ability to pick up some key first downs and
make some clutch plays. So I'm not saying Hurts didn't
play well, but to repeat, they're gonna have to figure
out how to get Smith and Brown involved in their
offense on a regular basis.

Speaker 6 (31:06):
All right, man, we'll have to wait and see. Either way,
we're all excited. Football's back. We're watching his game right
now as you are too, Sean King, my brother appreciate
it as always.

Speaker 2 (31:15):
All right, guys, and maybe arch Man and will hit
some layoups this week.

Speaker 4 (31:17):
All right, you got anything for this weekend? What you
got you got cooking?

Speaker 2 (31:22):
I'm going Dolphins, guys. Dolphins is my game of the week.
Put that in Shekele City or whatever that little LLC Rob.

Speaker 4 (31:29):
That's right, I ain I got a I got a
better one. Put the ranch. Put the ranch on Green
Bay against the Lions.

Speaker 2 (31:40):
See I like the Lions in that game. We're on
officite side. But just trust me, don't trust Rob. You
gotta beat the record of shehuckle City. Listen, take the Dolphins.
They're gonna beat the coach.

Speaker 4 (31:48):
Yeah he didn't mean it. Oh sorry, man, somebody got rocked.

Speaker 2 (31:52):
Man.

Speaker 6 (31:52):
He didn't mean the ranches at a home by the way, Seawan.
He was talking about ranch dressing. And he puts on
his wings his baked chicken. That's what we're talking about.

Speaker 4 (31:58):
Can you not turn the game?

Speaker 6 (32:00):
No, you got right, I was Rudy got hit. Appreciate you, Sean,
Thank you brother. Dolphins, he said as a lock. I
didn't see that coming. You talk about tea. Nobody talks
about the dolphins right there? All right, what's the point
from I'm suspending him for half. We gotta discuss this man.

you want to work with an expert in your local

(32:52):
it's time for your Express Pro of the Week, the
Pro the Week when it goes to Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts.
He had two than fourteen total yards, two touchdowns and
the Eagles season opening win last night. So again, congrats
Jalen Hurts for being our Express Pro Pro the Week.
We just had a bunch of fun in the uh
the other room over there talking about Jalen Hurts.

Speaker 4 (33:10):
Back off of them. He's mine.

Speaker 6 (33:13):
We're being dumbing there, all right, you gotta be what's wrong?
Would only being suspended.

Speaker 4 (33:17):
For a half?

Speaker 6 (33:18):
Rob?

Speaker 1 (33:18):
Rob, g what happened to Angel Reese because she said
some stuff and she said you were taking out of
context and the Chicago what's the name of that team?

Speaker 4 (33:27):
Chicago?

Speaker 6 (33:27):
Gosh, God, come on, you know all the teams and
I don't know if they stopping you never missed a game, Rob, exactly. Hey, Marjie,
make sure that's uh the next time we do like
a game show or something, make all w NBA sock
that's next week, socky win.

Speaker 4 (33:42):
That will be for real.

Speaker 6 (33:45):
I call her Angel Green. By the way, Draymond Green's sister.
The way she uh these technical bad enough.

Speaker 5 (33:50):
She got suspended for that, right, she hit the threshold,
got suspended for the game on the seventh.

Speaker 4 (33:54):
Is that the first woman in w NBA history for that? Actually?
It might? Actually is it? I think technical.

Speaker 1 (34:00):
Discussing This league been around for thirty years. They no
way that anybody had that many technicals.

Speaker 5 (34:07):
But to your point, Rob, the Chicago Sky announced that
Angel Reese will be suspended for the first half of
their game coming up on Sunday against the Aces for
they're determining our statements detrimental to the team made by
injuries to the members of the media.

Speaker 1 (34:26):
And she suspended for the first what what? What exactly
is that we see this in college football a lot
where they suspend you for the first half, suspend them
for the entire game, make them feel it. It doesn't
even make sense, the first half the entire game. Make
it a penalty. How in the first how well is

(34:48):
that a penalty? And I would say to myself, they
don't even have the blanks to suspend me for a game.
It's so bad. It's so bad that they only.

Speaker 4 (35:03):
Suspended me for a half a game. Man, It is
just really bad.

Speaker 2 (35:06):
All right.

Speaker 6 (35:07):
Here's the worst part about this too, is that if
this was something that was detrimental to the team, so
it's twenty minutes worth a detriment like is that it's
only eight and I don't college. Okay, fine, he won't
do it for they're still youth sometimes seventeen, eighteen, nineteen
years okay of five. You can't tell a grown professional
go sit in the corner. That's essentially what it sounds

(35:29):
like to me. Go have a time out? Do you
need to go sit in the corner? Go angel, go
in the corner over there. I have just either don't
do it and say we spoke to her. We're upset,
you know, but we work through this thing where a team,
we're gonna work through this as a unit and we're
gonna move forward. We'll be handled it internally. Or are
you suspended for a game? Half of the grown adult
and professionals.

Speaker 4 (35:47):
Is really weird.

Speaker 1 (35:48):
And I'm gonna be honest, not having to watch the
first half of a WNBA game is that a penalty?
I'm just asking. I know she's playing, but I'm just saying,
like she like, it's different. You out of the actually
have to sit there and watch. I mean, you're saying
she might not ever do anything wrong again. I'm just
saying she ain't gonna ever do anything detrimental.

Speaker 5 (36:07):
Girl.

Speaker 4 (36:07):
It was so hard. It was what you have to do, girl.
I had to watch the first half of the few
NBA game. Oh that's torture. That's girl. You better do
that again. That's what are you saying, Rob, That's what
a new Is that what a new judge is gonna
start doing?

Speaker 6 (36:24):
Yeah, johnn So we are here to prosecute this person
for speeding and drunk drive. Well, you know what we're
gonna do. I was gonna give you sixty days in jail.
I'm gonna make you watch thirty w NBA game. Tie
your hands, whind your back, get a two pick in
your eyes, keep them over so you can't close them.

Speaker 4 (36:41):
That what you're saying, Rob, don't do that. There's your penalty.
Don't do that.

Speaker 6 (36:45):
The w n B A I didn't make it to
a game this year. I will admit they got twenty
six jobs. But it's a good experience.

Speaker 2 (36:52):
Man.

Speaker 4 (36:52):
You should go to one. Yes, President, in fact, let's
do that.

Speaker 6 (36:55):
Let's change your let's change your bet instead of wings
and next no, no, no, not one currently because with
those are locked in. Our next bet, I want it
to be that you're gonna go to the w n
B A game. You're gonna sit in the front row
or at least the first few rows.

Speaker 5 (37:08):
You got to buy the ticket the whole game, and
you have to go enjoy. Say you have to post
on social media that you're there. All seats so good.

Speaker 4 (37:18):
There's the bet. I gotta think about that. Think about that.
You have to go to the game with a T shirt. No,
I don't know. Now you got me shirt? You have
you ever seen Kelsey plumbing person? See Kelsey?

Speaker 6 (37:31):
Oh, I hope it's Kelsey Plump too, because she goes.
She probably you know, she's been keeping play on the
sparks and she's been keeping note.

Speaker 4 (37:38):
I'm just asking.

Speaker 1 (37:39):
I'm not a w n B A person. I'm happy
that they have a league. I'm glad that you.

Speaker 2 (37:45):
That.

Speaker 4 (37:47):
I'm hoping you not a little something you can do,
drive a little ball. Don't do that. I told you.
I'm waiting for laundry night. That's the night I want
to go to the w S.

Speaker 6 (38:00):
You don't do laundry, you just give it clothes away.
You just give all your closer. You know, people walking
around here with a Fox Sports radio hoodie. Alex in
the middle of in the middle of Houston, Texas. Alex,
why are you saying that it's sexist. I didn't say
who was doing the washing because it's laundry night? Did
I say that the women? If you make a sandwich day,

(38:21):
you know, I didn't say that. I did not say that.

Speaker 4 (38:24):
I mean that would be interesting, right, you bring a
basket of laundry in. I didn't say that, but it
would be interesting. Want it to be Kelsey plus.

Speaker 2 (38:34):
Or you do not.

Speaker 1 (38:35):
How about a hundred dollars night, you know, like you
get tickets one hundred dollars night sell out? Yeah, people
would show it if you buy a ticket to coming
and you get a hundred dollars so they give it money.

Speaker 4 (38:46):
When this bet
