Just slightly disappointing not like Megan, but just likely slightly disappointed.

You disappointing to a lot of people for a long time.
You've been just slightly get I.

Speaker 2 (01:18):
Mean, get in line, all right, Get in line. You
see that right there? Right they getting you height. You
see what's going on at Ford Field and Detroit. I
can hear eminem going on right now because they're not
really gonna play the real Detroit music. But that's neither
here nor there. But they getting ready to put a
whooping on the packers. That's the go ahead. Whatever, get
to kid rock. That's the you talk about, man the

(01:39):
thirty for thirty on that. It's gonna be crazy because
you went from beloved to like, don't nobody like you know,
it's amazing.

Speaker 1 (01:44):
Uh. We got a lot to do here, starting with
Weiss's advice. With Martin Weiss, we all need.

Speaker 3 (01:55):
A little advice, So why not get from a true profession.
This guy is good advice.

Speaker 2 (02:07):
So one wise coming from the Christmas party? Yeah, I
am how you go over there? I didn't have any
taste or anything like that, you.

Speaker 4 (02:14):
Know, Rob, I'm a grown man. I found more over
there myself. No, but see, don't try to do that. No, Martin,
don't do that. We set up here. Matter of fact,
did I say we? He sat up here, said, hey, guys,
just we don't have a lot of time, so we're
gonna go together.

Speaker 1 (02:27):
So we need to go right there at three o'clock.
And I had to go over there and only the party.

Speaker 2 (02:33):
Yes you did.

Speaker 5 (02:34):
You had a drink in head, man, I digress. But
did you really want to get to the party early?

Speaker 2 (02:41):
Is the question? We want to get there three, because
that's what we said. Did rob got there early? Anybody
else did? Too's getting there early? And then to eat?
Monty was there? The food wasn't out. What do you mean?
Bring them up again? A too high? It wasn't out

(03:01):
when I left? Wait, did his break pizza or not?
We all having foods?

Speaker 6 (03:09):
Telling the woman your shoulders too high? As wild man,
you know better than that. You've been married for way
too long.

Speaker 2 (03:14):
You shoulders are up too high right now, Robberie, we
got this glass between us. It's all good to let
me see how to go. I don't even know what
he's talking about, because.

Speaker 5 (03:22):
You get right here, you start going his drink, sir,
you know Glorian vision?

Speaker 2 (03:27):
Did you get any food over there? While you were there,
You're not slowing some thoughts.

Speaker 5 (03:31):
I had a little bit of food, but uh it
was my worst nightmare, which is what happened.

Speaker 2 (03:37):
It was a little handsy you know What's so? I
felt like that guy because I went right before I
ate Julie. Our bosses like and I said, and I
had to go wash my hands before I I'm with
I'm saying, why just say this?

Speaker 5 (03:50):
What was handsybody limited? The practice that Kelvin said, he
just showed. I probably would have eaten more, but the
rate that I was at, I was only eating plates
that I was watching.

Speaker 2 (04:03):
I get what he says. God, you guys kill me. Y'all.
The only people who complain about free food food, it's
people not washing hands and handed.

Speaker 7 (04:12):
Bare cheek seventy six over here. Ain't saying something I
know for a fact.

Speaker 2 (04:17):
Alex, you know I'm trying to do it. Bare cheek
seventy six will take me out everything that Martin.

Speaker 1 (04:25):
If you really have to go to the bathroom and
like you have to go and there's no paper to
put down, would you still.

Speaker 2 (04:32):
No, no, that was not what we said. No, no, no, no, no, no, no,
twist it. There is ample paper. Are you still gonna
take that time to make sure you put the paper
down right. Total, I might not have time. Am I outside?
Am I in the in the in the restroom in
the seventy six? Oh you're talking about like the paper
to cover on the seat.

Speaker 5 (04:53):
Yeah, I will say that is a a what is
that moment?

Speaker 2 (04:58):
Sensitive matter? It depends it took. I can't alwait.

Speaker 5 (05:01):
Look, sometimes if I'm running a huney met dash, you know,
now if it's more of a mile run, then okay,
I's in the middle.

Speaker 2 (05:09):
Now I gotta take that extra ten seconds. I have
to you what you say he's doing bear cheeking what
I said I would harbor, I'll do a hard stop it.
We all know you can't squat like that. I was hovering.
You do is over a six ninety nine crew neck.
Whoa wow, I'm glad you got to that.

Speaker 5 (05:27):
I was worried when Mark seventy dollars this shirt was
full price.

Speaker 2 (05:32):
Thank you.

Speaker 1 (05:35):
Man, you got one more day. If I see one
more flannel, I know I feel like I'm in the Northeast.
All right, Martin, we got some more wife's advice.

Speaker 2 (05:43):
Let's do it well.

Speaker 6 (05:43):
Speaking of the northeast, Northeast I guess it's the Northwest
drink to drink, I rush.

Speaker 2 (05:49):
I shouldn't have done that. She to pace myself.

Speaker 6 (05:51):
But tonight's game, big game NFC North Detroit Lions and
the Green Bay Packers. Martin Weiss, who's got the advice
to make you some money, says, screw the points. Lions
minus three and a half is the play tonight, Lion
so minus three and a half.

Speaker 2 (06:05):
When I wrote it to you, it was three and
a half.

Speaker 5 (06:07):
But I just checked all the different apps and it
says Lions minus three.

Speaker 2 (06:11):
I'm taking the Lions minus three.

Speaker 5 (06:12):
Final score of this game will be twenty three to twenty,
Detroit Lions victorious if it was three and a half.
I tell you to bet the Packers because you bet numbers,
but you don't bet teams. Lions have more double double
the amount of defenders on injury reserve than any other
team in the NFL. You know what, I don't care.
They get Carlton Davis back. Jordan Love has doing an
interception of two games. That's one problem. He's turnover prone.

Speaker 2 (06:35):
Maker.

Speaker 5 (06:36):
Jordan Love throws me another interception tonight. That's the margin
right there. Lions twenty twenty three twenty. All right, shoot
you saying the defense gonna hold him a little bit.
I was a little worried it'd be more like twenty
seven to twenty four or something like that.

Speaker 2 (06:48):
I'm still with you. I think that home field advantage
is gonna do something. I think you'll get false starts.
I think you'll get a couple of bad penalties, hopefully
get that pick you're talking about. I think the Lions
show everybody doesn't matter what the situations out the season,
we get the job done. So I'm rolling with the Lions.
You already knew that though. Uh does ten points constitute
a blowout? All right? I'm going for the blowout Packers

(07:10):
by ten? Uh?

Speaker 1 (07:11):
This road, this is on the road. This is where
their defense. They have so many people. You can't out
scheme bodies. There are way too many people heard and missing.
This is where it finally shows up. Jared Goff, good
for a couple of picks. That'll go to match with
Jordan loves a couple of picks. But I got the
Packers by ten.

Speaker 6 (07:30):
Martin Rob on the opposite sides of the fence, just
like this next one. Because Rob Parker famously hates black quarterbacks.

Speaker 2 (07:36):
Oh Mann.

Speaker 6 (07:36):
Martin Weisse loves gving some black quarterbacks so much so
that he's like, hey, Jamis Winston, Russell Wilson, I don't
need to pick sides. Give me the over forty three
and a half. Black excellence in that game, Martin tells.

Speaker 5 (07:49):
Why look black excellence at the bank for sure, between
both Jamis and Russell Wilson. But you know the number
one thing that kills unders turnovers, turnovers All he do
exactly exactly dam The pick six had seven hundred damn
near yards of all yards passing yards if you account
the pick sixes from last game.

Speaker 2 (08:10):
Well, yeah, I'm thing him and this Steelers defense. Look,
they ain't no joke. J J.

Speaker 5 (08:15):
Weis gonna hit somebody, and all of a sudden, somebody
you'd never heard of is gonna be returning the ball
of twenty five yards for you, Beanie Bishop, Like, what
are we doing here? The turnovers here end up making
this game go over forty three and a half.

Speaker 1 (08:28):
I can't disagree with that because there will be some
Jamis Winston's famous for it.

Speaker 2 (08:34):
We saw last week.

Speaker 1 (08:35):
Then Russell Wilson throw up pick his first up that
was the first drive or first pass six year I did, so,
I think that there will be some. Jamis just cannot
shake that bugaboo, and he'll probably have some even though
Pittsburgh's defense and Pittsburgh's defense hadn't been as good the
last couple of weeks.

Speaker 2 (08:52):
No, I'm going with the under. I think it's divisional game.
I think it'll be hard fault. I think Russell Wilson,
outside of playing a bad was at the Bengals, he
had a couple of games where it wasn't a bit
A bunch of yards. I think they'll put up so
they'll move the ball, get some yards with a bunch
of field goals. I'm going with the under there. Actually,
I think it's gonna be like a twenty one to

(09:12):
twenty kind of a game. I think you had three
drinks tonight. All right, went to hear this, you're gonna
say I had three drinks.

Speaker 6 (09:18):
Moving down the list, speaking of black quarterbacks, and when
he doesn't like Baker Mayfield because the Tampay Buccaneers are.

Speaker 2 (09:25):
Six and a half one douggy, now, oh yeah, exactly.
That worked for me.

Speaker 6 (09:30):
I don't make him if if me and Baker, if
I'm honorary black Baker's definitely honorary black.

Speaker 2 (09:36):
Uh No, I don't think he's seeing on the omar
EPs movies like nah, moris chess out's my guy? Yeah,
all right, here we go.

Speaker 6 (09:42):
Mark Weiss taking the Raiders plus six and a half
in Tampa against Baker and the Bucks.

Speaker 2 (09:49):
I know you You see he didn't say anything about
his Panic quarterbacks. Huh hey, Kate pos No, Uh.

Speaker 5 (09:55):
That does second half? No, that's seriously, that second half
the rate played against the Chiefs. It showed me something.

Speaker 2 (10:02):
That's the team. As Rob Parker said, they God loucky,
how could they win well?

Speaker 5 (10:08):
Really because the Raiders couldn't execute enough at in late
stage moments. But you know what, that doesn't do. That
doesn't mean you can't cover six and a half. The
Raiders probably still lose this game against a team in Tampa.
But Baker Mayfield is a favorite seventeen twenty eight and
one that's only thirty eight percent against the spread as
a favorite. Tampa w was this game by a field

(10:29):
goal on another late game blunder by Antonio Piers and
the Las Vegas Raiders, but Vegas covered six and a half.
Now I'm going with the Bucks. Give me the Bucks
on this.

Speaker 2 (10:39):
I think the Raiders there's too much going on, there's
too much speculation. Antonio Pearce's gone, what are they gonna do?
And I think the Bucks are in the miss and
they still trying to get in the playoffs. They're still
trying to make some things happen. And I think what
you were talking about, I'm talking about the Raiders. You
said playoffs, that's true, but I'm saying the Buck I know,
but hear me out. I think what you saw with
the Raiders was more an indictment on the Chiefs and

(11:01):
what their issue is being I think is more of
a Chiefs do this to anybody. Good teams, bad teams,
middling teams. So I don't want to read too much
in it with Raiders being able to keep up with them.
That's just what the ra the Chiefs do. They keep
everybody around. So I'm gonna go with the Buccaneers. I
think the Buccaneers are trying to still do something to
move up in this NFC South and get in the postseas.

Speaker 1 (11:16):
They get the job done. Yeah, I just like the
Bucks at home. The Raiders just don't do it for me.
I get it with what they did against Kansas City,
a game they easily could have won. But I expect
Tampa Bay to beat up the Raiders and they return
to the who we know they are, who we believe
them to be.

Speaker 5 (11:35):
To be clear, the Raiders are going to lose this
against don't they it to be? They are just going
to lose it by less than six and a half point.

Speaker 6 (11:42):
I got your last game, Weiice's advice the information you
need to make money betting this NFL weekend. If you
parlay all these games, you'll have enough money to buy
a sports card like Rob Parker.

Speaker 2 (11:52):
Oh my, and this is the last one. Is gonna
get it done for Caleb.

Speaker 6 (11:56):
Williams and Chicago Bears in San Francisco, take on Block
pretty the Niners, Martin says, take Caleb plus the four
on the road.

Speaker 2 (12:06):
Martin tell us, why, Well, here's the thing. There's not
a lot of good football reasons to make this pick. Flooding,
you know, okay, but.

Speaker 5 (12:14):
There's a big level of the human element in making
this pick. Matt Ebrafluse fired out of there, throw them
in the trash done, okay, But when that happens. I've
heard this from several different NFL players and because of
my job, the NFL players that I hear from are
the ones that are overly successful.

Speaker 2 (12:32):
I don't know too many like guys who were in
the league two years and washed out.

Speaker 5 (12:35):
Everybody's like, yeah, either team Hall of Fame or actual
Hall of Fame. When it talked to like the guys
who I actually talked to, they said, listen, when a
coach gets fired, it means one thing. Everybody looks around
and says, oh, snap, I could be next. I expect
a dead cat bounce from the Chicago Bears, and that's
They've been competitive. They've been competitive in the last couple

(12:58):
of games, and it has been coaching this that have
cost them. I don't know if they win here or not,
but I do know this, with Deebo Samuel playing like
he turned eighty five last week, George Kittle's old, Christian
McCaffrey's on IR, Jordan Mason's on IR, and I get that,
like Kyle Shanahan's Plug and Play, but Trent Williams also
not going to be there. Forty nine also had a

(13:18):
lot of sad stuff happened throughout this year.

Speaker 2 (13:21):
I think that they're not.

Speaker 5 (13:21):
Necessarily the most focused on football give me the Bears
plus four and a half.

Speaker 2 (13:26):
That's a tough one. You made up a lot of
great points. And I think the Bears have been better
than their record a couple games. They got three games
hell Mary, they should have won. That should should have
been was it the four the Chiefs? Was it the
Chiefs of my tripping? They've had a few games that
they should have field.

Speaker 5 (13:42):
Lost the back they make that field goal, they win
the hell Maynor and then if they call time out
against Detroit.

Speaker 2 (13:48):
Things will be different. But those are three games that
they eat they could have won. So they're better than
than their record for sure. And Jay and Kayler Williams
has been playing well, that's that's a pert they put
the that a perfect line, though, you know what, Give
me the Bears. I think they're trying to prove something.
They're trying to finish the season strong and kind of
have something to look forward to next season. I think

(14:09):
the offense moves a little bit as well. In the
forty nine ers man I said this General Hospital is
the mass unit right now, give me the Bears. Yeah,
I'm gonna go with the Bears.

Speaker 1 (14:18):
I think that they are better defensively and the forty
nine ers is just not you know, what we've expected,
and this year has been mashed up for them. I
agree like they got some the Bears should feel good about,
even though it's an intrum coach that Ibra fluts has gone.

Speaker 2 (14:36):
I like the Bears in this. I like them to
not only cover that, but to win outright.

Speaker 5 (14:40):
I got a bonus for you if you think that
the Lions win tonight. If you do, you could bet
on the Lions for sure, but you should bet Jared
Goff MVP. He's got the fourth betside right now plus
twelve hundred. That game next week. If the Lions win
this Lions versus Bills, Week fifteen is going to be
for the MVP. I don't like it, but I don't

(15:01):
make the rules. You think golf could still take it.
Let's say he wins this. Let's say he outduels. If
they win this, Colvin, then there will be thirty four
he could throw fourteen four interceptions. He's not in the
m VP.

Speaker 2 (15:13):
Cous I said if but but but also were playing odds.
So if I put two hundred dollars on it, you
see what I'm saying. You get that money on it
because that they're in. All they want you to do
is dump money in.

Speaker 5 (15:24):
I can tell you this, I guarantee you this if
the Lions win this game. Jared GoF finishes top three
in MVP VO.

Speaker 6 (15:31):
By the way, he's got a text from Lamar Mitchell
bet MGM, he said, tell Martin, great idea. Any money
we can get on Jared Gardyes, brilliant.

Speaker 2 (15:40):
No, he told you didn't finish reading. He told you,
don't say that over the radio. Finish. That was the
second part of that tech. It's coming through right now.
You didn't finish reading. Oh yeah, I said, don't share
my bad Okay. I don't believe in misinformation, Rob.

Speaker 5 (15:52):
We have a responsibility here and all I've ever heard
Lamar say to me is wow, Martin, the pros are
on that side.

Speaker 2 (16:00):
Speaking of which Gott high him. I'm trying to get
a vacation. All right, Thank you, brother, Martin. Martin Weiss's
advice right there. Of course, you can catch them on
Fox Sports Radio on the weekends. Martin Weis's on Twitter.
Appreciate you, brother. Always check in with him, all right. Actually,
the conversation there is gonna be what six seven jobs
available after this season what's the most desirable job? Rob,

(16:21):
That's the conversation we're gonna have. It is Rob Parker,
Kelvin Washington, the I Cup of Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 3 (16:26):
Be sure to catch live editions of The Odd Couple
with Chris Brussard and Rob Parker weekdays at seven pm
Eastern four pm Pacific on Fox Sports Radio and the
iHeartRadio app.

Speaker 2 (16:38):
That's gotta be racist. You didn't even let them say
anything yet Fox Sports Radio. It is the I cover
Rob Parker Kelvin Washington TV theme song Thursday, coming to
you live from the Tirack dot Com studios. Hey, in
an emergency, you want rapid radios and sim push the

the country. It's like seventy here in LA, but the
rest of you it's some different weather going on, So
you might as well get Rapid Radios dot com A
try go there now from up to sixty percent off
and you'll get free shipping. Just an update on this game,

(17:20):
monts He's gonna give you more of an update, but
a zero zero right now. Read the Lions are in
the red zone. They were about the ten. I had
to see where they are now and moving the ball
pretty well, all right. Conversation about the best opening right now,
there's a few, but rob g expecting to be some
more once this season ends, and we're trying to figure

(17:41):
out what the best job is. You don't want to
just take a job just because, right, not only not
if you have your pick of the litter, that's right.

Speaker 6 (17:47):
And actually, Charles Robinson, who was on during the first hour,
wrote a great column for Yahoo Sports that dropped earlier
today discussing what he believes are the most desirable head
coaching vacancies or anticipated vacancy to the coming season.

Speaker 2 (18:01):
And he did it under the.

Speaker 6 (18:02):
Framework of based solely on the quarterback situation, because we
all know when it comes to picking NFL at coaching jobs,
the quarterback situation is first, second, and third when you're
figuring it out.

Speaker 2 (18:13):
The rest will worry about later. And his ranking everybody knows.

Speaker 6 (18:17):
Surprise, Chicgo Bears are the most desirable because they got
Kayla Williams franchise quarterback on a rookie deal ready to go.
Not counting the rest of that roster. What was surprising
is who we had at number two. That would be
the Las Vegas Raiders. I'm not buying it, followed by
the Jags, the Cowboys, the Giants, the Saints bringing up
the rear, the New York Jetropolitans.

Speaker 1 (18:39):
I don't know. I know the Raiders. Oh, Tom Brady's involved,
he's a part owner. Oh you know, they're gonna get
Dion and Chador and all that other stuff. But the
Raiders have been bad for a while and it's from
the top. Mark Davis is still the owner. I don't
care who's throwing money in the pot, Tom Brady taking

(18:59):
over everything, Rob g you know what I mean? Like
Mark Davis has been running this disaster. Look at the
gmg's hired. Look at the coaches he's hired, some of
the draft picks, just a just a mismage of h
failure all over the place.

Speaker 2 (19:17):
That's why I'm it sounds good.

Speaker 1 (19:20):
But as long as Mark Davis is the owner, I
have him as a Jerry Jones West, you know, Like
that's where he is to me?

Speaker 2 (19:29):
Is that fair or not? Rob? You you're a Raiders fan,
you can't be happy with the way the team's been run,
of course not.

Speaker 6 (19:35):
But I mean I would never compare anyone to Jerry Jilles,
Gary Jones, any category on to himself.

Speaker 2 (19:40):
I will say this though, but I'm not mad at
our guard Charles, who was just on with us. I'm
not got mad at his thought process because he's saying,
in this situation, Garden minshew, bless you, God, bless you
as you get up out of here, and now you
have a chance to get us to do her Sanders.
If it's a cam Ward, if if they swap who
goes first, who goes second? However that were out. You

(20:00):
get a new quarterback, you get something fresh. And also
with a new quarterback who's young, what that does it
actually you being a Raiders fan, It buys you some time,
right because you're like, man, I'm telling you this is
first year, doesn't even count man year two, year three.
So you kind of buy some good grace with your
fans when you get a new young, upstar quarterback. But
if he turns around and looks like Jaydon Daniels, or
if he looks like Bo Nick's or something, then you

(20:22):
got a winning process. They'll have some cap money as
well to spend out there, So I'm not mad at that.
The only thing I really want that would make me
feel better is Mark Davis will get a haircut because
I can't look that man in his face seriously. Why
you gotta go personal? No, I can't take him seriously
with that haircut. Come on, he choosing to get that
haircut right to work for the Beatles. He's okay, yeah,

(20:46):
and Beatles in nineteen sixty eight, he choosing.

Speaker 1 (20:49):
He's walking in like yeah, let yeah, let me get
you see the women on his arm. He's not married, right, No,
he got nothing but hot chicks with him.

Speaker 2 (20:56):
Yeah, that's how. And if you ever want to know
money matters, they look up money Made It Matters in
the Dictionary and Mark David. It was Mark Davis with
his he man haircut on there. So while I say
the Raiders ain't a bass situation, Dad used to wear
the track suits too. At least he had that little
swag too, had his glass, he had the shades. And
I can still remember, you know, as a reporter young

(21:18):
this is back in.

Speaker 1 (21:19):
The eighties and being in the Raiders locker room after
a game and al Davis being in there and you know,
like he had like an Elvis outfit on, you know
what I mean, Like was he larger than life? You
felt or somebody it was somebody? Yeah, like him being
in there because this was on the road in New
York and he was that big, like you knew that

(21:41):
was the owner. You knew that was Al Davis and
he had his style all on to himself.

Speaker 2 (21:46):
You want to say the Jags, rob is like, you know, hey,
I got Trevor Lawrence, but Trevor Lawrence ain't really quarterback.
And like y'all keep trying to tell me, is so
maybe the question is what's going to be the worst? No,
but but but but Jacksonville is not just that? Is
that I think that room. Don't they have money to spend? Well,
then allegedly they're gonna move to London pretty soon. That
would be sothy.

Speaker 6 (22:07):
Of the seventeams that that Charles Robinson listed, it was Bears, Raiders, Jags, Cowboys, Giants, Saints, Jets,
which was the least desirable.

Speaker 2 (22:18):
If you're Bill Belichick, You're like, well, here's the thing.
He wants to coast the Jets because it's New York
and his mentor Bill Parcells was there, so I could
see him want to go to the I mean, sorry,
the Giants. I could see I'm at the Giants. I
could see him want to go there. But that doesn't
look good to me. Quarterback situation is bad obviously. Now
you don't have one, you don't know what you got.
You don't have The running game is okay, but you
don't have the guy defenses and that that's just not

(22:42):
that desirable to me. And you got an owner and
everybody's okay with getting rid of your best players. So uh,
just I hadn't looked that great to me. And I
know we want to say the Cowboys, but at least
I got a quarterback I know coming back. I got CD,
I got Mic in the defense they you know, they
look okay. And by the way, Robs both of y'all.
If it all hits the fan, I'm gonna get a
great TV job by being connected to the Cowboys. So

(23:04):
I was like, all right, I got this job for
a little bit. Don't work. I'm on TV making some
money somewhere, so I'm not mad at that as well.

Speaker 1 (23:21):
And lastly here in hockey, the league worst Chicago Blackhawks
have fired their head coach Luke Richardson after three seasons.

Speaker 2 (23:29):
Back to you.

Speaker 1 (23:29):
Guys, The deal for Luis Seva Reno is the largest
amount of money.

Speaker 2 (23:33):
To advocat teed Ronny sixty seven million dollars. They ain't
spending no money. Yeah, that's nothing, Wan Soto, We're here
talking about a whole buying island with six hundred million dollars.
You got a showhy three quarters of a billion. They
got a measly six. Shoot, steven A. Smith make more
than that. My goodness with the camera means I'm sot.

(23:58):
Put the camera on me. Let me tell you. I
go out there and I pitch for you. I expect
to get the money. I deserve the money. I'm worth
the money every penny. Is that a good Stephen? Nobody else?
He does not sound like that. Has he ever been that? Calm?
Are you kidding me? This isn't exactly what he does.

(24:18):
That's okay, rogie, Am I right? That's what he does
when they're like, hey, Kevin Ourant's been calling you out
all over Twitter and put the can No, I'm serious,
put the camera on me. Yeah, you're right, okay, say
that about you don't want to make it and you
don't want to make it money d I don't. He
literally does, and then the whispy he only does it

(24:41):
three or four times a year. It's when it's like
for real beef. Gotcha like, not just like oh I
think the Cowboys, ha ha, It's when it's for real beef.
And let me just say this right now, and I'm serious.
Put the camera on me. When I tell you to
meet me at three for the party, I mean two
fet five when I say yeah, Roger hear that when
we say we're meeting, and even that it's not up

(25:01):
to don't make me laugh right now? Serious? All right, hey,
let's go to the second. Don't be talking about my
boy like that. No, but now were talking about the
fact that he make more than the whole organization pays. There,
I know, I mean a shout out to him big time.

Speaker 1 (25:15):
But the Oakland A's crazy is Louis several Reno, who
pitched well for the Mets, and even Mets fans got
to be like, well, why are we giving up our
starting pitching when he just made a nice run in
the playoffs.

Speaker 2 (25:27):
He was a big part of that. He pitched with
the Yankees.

Speaker 1 (25:29):
But when he gets an offer like this, three years,
sixty seven million, ten million dollars signing bonus, so when
you sign, you know what I mean. And he has
an opt out after the twenty twenty six season, so
if he's not happy with how things are going. And
it's the largest guaranteed contract handed out by the A's,
surpassing the sixth year, sixty six million dollar contract they

(25:52):
gave Eric Chavez back in two thousand and four. So
twenty years ago they gave out sixty six million over
six years, and now they've given out sixty seven in
three year.

Speaker 2 (26:05):
They took they took Moneyball to a whole new level.

Speaker 1 (26:09):
Only thing with that Moneyball thing and even more like,
they never won once they get Billy Bean all his credit.

Speaker 2 (26:16):
And the thing why that movie.

Speaker 1 (26:18):
Didn't make any sense to me is they didn't mention
that they had three dominant pitchers who pitched on that
Oakland A's team.

Speaker 2 (26:26):
Well you know what I mean. Yeah, But first of all,
don't don't don't you know, we gotta know, we gotta
we gotta make it a sh no. But I'm just
saying it was weird that, like, they didn't win a championship,
but they went on a crazy turnaround.

Speaker 1 (26:36):
Yeah, but they only won twenty games in a row.
Usually a Hollywood store, you win the title. They couldn't
even fudge that.

Speaker 2 (26:43):
And I think the point of it was they introduced,
or at least made more common practice to us Joe public,
the idea of adding analytics. Not that it was never happening,
we know it was. It's always been a part of it,
but that they were saying, hey, there's a way to
do this because we can't spin in like we see
what the Yankees, the Phillies, uh, Dodgers, okay, yeah, Dodge

(27:08):
the billion dollars quick yo hood the Mets spending all
his money. The Dodgers too, you know, And so they're like,
we can't we can't compete with that. But I ain't
gonna lie. I didn't know that sixty seven million was
the highest guaranteed. That's crazy. Let's jump cha. That's what
you gotta come on that inflation and plant Sacramento too,
which is weird.

Speaker 1 (27:26):
That he would sign on for that, but several Reno
seve A Reno was hurt. It's still the major leagues
has got to be a certain standard for the ballpark.

Speaker 2 (27:34):
And if he really doesn't like it, he can't get
out of it. Right two years, Right, that's a that's
a that's a win win man, and you get to
go there. And and another thing about baseball too, like
we talked about, is if you're not going to the
Yankees or the Dodgers, you can kind of go to
obsecurity and like, you know, not that you plan on failing,
but like you could just go and be there, you
know what I mean where it's like if you that's

(27:57):
but I'm saying, why so going to the Yankees, we
gotta all right you show Hey. Going to the Dodgers,
we got to hire you. Mike Trout one of the
best players. When the last time we talked about Mike
Trout because he's down there and Angels and he's supposed
to be one of the best players of all the time,
I only talked to always banged up lately, and even
show Hey, it was like no one really saw him.
It was like, I know he's doing crazy things, but
no one saw him. He comes to the Dodgers, it

(28:18):
changes the whole entire course of everything with that, no doubt.

Speaker 1 (28:21):
It's gonna be interesting to see how this plays out,
because obviously, as we said, they can't, They're not going
to Vegas.

Speaker 2 (28:27):
It could be three years in Sacramento.

Speaker 1 (28:29):
But it could be awesome because actually smaller, smaller venue,
all these fans who've never been able to go to
Major League Baseball. The Yankees come to town, the Dodgers
come to town. You don't think that that thirteen I
don't know what it is, thirteen or fifteen thousand seats,
it'll they don't be rocking.

Speaker 2 (28:45):
They'll be packed every night, and not only packed that'll
be rocking. Yeah. But I will say we had a
buddy of mine, Dennis Ackerman. He's a big producer for
La Times Today Show, but in lifelong Oakland A's and yeah,
we had him on and it's he literally was crying
when they left it. It's just because you lose the Raiders,
you lose the forty are the Warriors. I know, they

(29:06):
just go across the street to San Francisco. But it's
a different field, it's a different vibe, different bod's different.
It is. People can say, oh, it's the difference. It's
the difference. Man.

Speaker 1 (29:14):
Oakland had a thing going on with the Warriors, and
then moving was like moving up to the east side.

Speaker 2 (29:19):
Yeah, it's like to lead us and then you lose it,
like I said, Raider and now use the A. So
you kind of and not to mention. It's not as
if they just singularly lost their sports. Seems like the
city is going through a lot too, so you kind
of hate to see what's happening. I used to be
a great sports town. All the great franchises we talk
about all the time. Oakland A's won three World Series
in a row. If I list the players, the Hall

(29:40):
of Fame players who played there, you're like Reggie Jackson,
Ricky Henderson, Catfish Hunter, vitelbl You could just go on
and on on. Joe Rudy, there's nothing, Dennis ackers Lee,
there's nothing but great players who played in Oakland. Top
five mustache of all time. Oh yeah, yeah, I mustache.
It was stashing, Dennis Eckersley. Yeah, that's stash was stashing,
all right. We got shop talk around the corner as well.

(30:02):
Get on, I'm not comfortable about this. It ain't too bad.
It's just more this is a chance of them ripping out.
It's just more a little bit an observation, and that
I already knew what I was like. Maybe maybe my
boy will just switch it up a little bit. Boy
was I wrong. We'll talk about that next. It is

Speaker 1 (31:13):
Ain't nobody you were talking about whoever, whatever, whatever you
want to in a box?

Speaker 3 (31:17):
Why you know it's shop telling me?

Speaker 6 (31:20):
That's right, it is shop talk here on the eye
couple of Secon. When we talk about something that happened
outside of the world of sports. This one's near and
dear to our heart because it just happened.

Speaker 2 (31:27):
All right.

Speaker 6 (31:27):
We had our iHeartMedia Company Christmas party at a very
beautiful Mexican restaurant.

Speaker 2 (31:33):
I forget the name because I was only there for
twenty five freeda there you go, and I thought it
was George Lopez.

Speaker 6 (31:38):
They had nachos, they had burritos, Gadiaz. Rob Parker found
a way to get himself some chicken wings man.

Speaker 2 (31:46):
Rob Parker, let me just let me, let me add
to this, rob Gie. So I'm sitting there, We're doing
the whole rounds, and obviously, you know me, being still
fairly new, I'm meeting everybody and then I'm watching Rob
and I'm looking at him sit there, and I'm like, man, okay,
obviously he's eating the wings. So I go for the tacos.
You know, they got the nice looking, good everything, and
I'm getting a little carnita. It's a little pastor feeling festive.

(32:07):
Went in Rome and I look at Rob and he's
looking Everybody else is kind of looking at him like
is he gonna join in on this massive plate of tacos?
And you could tell he's like, I should do this
because everybody's kind of looking at me, and he looked
like you're trying to get a two year old to
eat broccoli. Rob ge'z like, I don't nah, I'm gonna
go find some more wings. You can't eat a taco

(32:29):
in a Mexican food place.

Speaker 1 (32:31):
But wait a minute, it's not like I went to
the kitchen and asked him can they make wings for me?

Speaker 2 (32:36):
It's on the menu right, No, no, no, no, nobody. You
didn't branch out. They had teketos, They had Casadia cheese, Casadia.
I did you did have a cheese. I'll give you that.
That's Mexican. Why don't you wash it down with three wings?

Speaker 1 (32:51):
That's you did. Why who doesn't like tacos? I'm not
a Mexican food. I don't like Mexican food.

Speaker 2 (32:57):
I'm not.

Speaker 1 (32:58):
I'm dead serious, Like that's got to be what I'm not.
I'm like if you would have asked me to go
out and it's not I've had tacos.

Speaker 2 (33:05):
Like I thought. We all agree.

Speaker 1 (33:06):
It was like, well, Casa Diaz. I love stuff like that,
but I'm not a big Mexican food I'm not. I'm
from the East Coast.

Speaker 2 (33:16):
But who in what coast doesn't like tacos? Tacos are
like pizza. Everybody likes pizza. Everybody likes tacos. We pizza
in New York. By the way, y'all pizza. Y'all gotta relax.
It's slightly overrated. It's not over no, no, no, no, we
got you gotta relax. Do I have to have a taco? Yes?
Tell him, Alex. You know what's funny, Ron, I'm actually
with you on this one.

Speaker 7 (33:35):
Oh, I'll tell you why Parker doesn't live in the
borders that you're supposed to watch.

Speaker 2 (33:41):
He goes to a sponsors.

Speaker 7 (33:43):
I'm gonna get what I liked he because guess what
I'm gracing them with my presence when I got to
do a show. So I came out here to see y'all, Alex.
So at least you can do give me a couple
of flats.

Speaker 2 (33:53):
Disappointed in you, Alex? There you go disappointed. You know
why I'm disappointed in you, Alex, because you are a
man of an lightning who at least tries things like
I've never had a talk. I've had tacos.

Speaker 5 (34:05):
No.

Speaker 2 (34:05):
But you know, but you know this one thing we
all agree culturally, Right, We've all gone to someone's house.
So we've gone to their gathering. Maybe it's their place
of worship, and you kind of just say, hey, I'm here,
I'm gonna if they did, oh they take off their
shoes here, let me take off my shoes here? All right,
hold on, Rob g Here's what I want to ask you.

Speaker 1 (34:22):
If there was no chicken wings on the menu and
only Mexican food, and then I went back to the
kitchen and said, can you make me a caesar salad
or that.

Speaker 2 (34:33):
Would be tacky? Right? But the wings. I didn't order
the wings.

Speaker 6 (34:37):
They came out, Rob, I'm asking you now, Okay, when
we go to the Super Bowl in Nolan's. Yes, and
they got pole boys and crawfish and fried oh, gumbo gumbo,
And I'm like, can I get a cheeseburger?

Speaker 2 (34:51):
I'm not doing that? Then? What? No?

Speaker 6 (34:54):
Is that not disrespectful to the restaurant and the region
that we're in.

Speaker 2 (34:58):
Yes, you can't do that. Is that different than what
you just did? But we're not in Mexico. We kind
of are. We just took it over. Sorry for another?

Speaker 1 (35:10):
Yeah, maybe, yeah, that's a different story for another. Is
that why it's Los Angeles? And yeah, San Francisco and
San Diego a whole.

Speaker 2 (35:18):
Lot of that. Why we own Lociana?

Speaker 1 (35:21):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (35:21):
Everything is Lahambra? Yeah, what else you want to know? Yeah?
Not Washington Street? Yeah no, No. First of all, Wolke Okay,
what's wrong with Washington? Even though it wasn't my real name?
See when they took my people, that was the government. Yeah,
this shop talk is taking a hard left turn.

Speaker 1 (35:37):
No, no, no. And I had some of the chicken tradition.
I saw you took a bite and do it away. Yeah,
Manti Manzi, do you have a There were wings on
the menu. It wasn't like I didn't. I saw the
Mexican food and said Oh.

Speaker 2 (35:51):
No, Actually, you look like Ki'd eating brocoli. He kind
of implies that. What kind of implies that even though
it was on the menu, it kind of implies.

Speaker 1 (36:00):
I'm like, you know what, and I'm I'm a very
picky eater from this standpoint, I'm not a big Chinese
food eater in New York. Chinese it's a big deal
for real, Like people in Chinese food. And when I
go to the Chinese food restaurant, I usually get fried
wings and shrimp fried rice. At shrimp fried rice like

(36:21):
that's usually.

Speaker 2 (36:22):
But all the other dishes not typical. Yeah, you just
don't so, yeah, you just like, right, and what's.

Speaker 1 (36:29):
The other what's the Chinese place that's express?

Speaker 2 (36:34):
Express? I shouldn't have said that, phon, you went wrong? Yeah,
I know right. They were about to sign a deal
right there, right there where are Freda's right now? Everybody
else conforms to something they don't like, doesn't mean you
have to.

Speaker 1 (36:50):
So like, even when I go there, I don't get
all the other stuff.

Speaker 2 (36:55):
I usually will get like the shrimp dish. At least
you like shrimp shrimp. I was working. Yeah, I love shrimp, sheafood,
lobster and all that kind of stuff. Now, I don't
say seafood. You like crustacean seafood. You know what I'm saying.
But you eat what fish? Do you eat? Telapio? Now
you have become the blackest person I know. Black people

(37:16):
love U to live. We are keeping tilapia. We are
keeping tilapia alive. Swordfish, no swordfish? What else? Mahi mahi
because tight cat Hey, I'm tearing catfish down. In New Orleans.
