(01:31):

Speaker 3 (01:31):
Of course NBA analysts that and much more.
Speaker 1 (01:35):
Let's stay in the association, mister Kelvin Washington, Yes, sir,
and let's talk about what's happened to the Phoenix Suns.
Speaker 3 (01:43):
Rob G. What are the latest numbers they've lost? What
of what? What's there? Where are they now?
Speaker 4 (01:49):
After that blowout home loss to the Minnisoalt Timbers that
helped ant Man earn our Express Pros Player of the Week. Yes,
Kevin Durant said that they embarrassed themselves and embarrassed the
fans the way they played. It was their eleventh loss
in fourteen games. They're now twenty eight and thirty three
on the season, four games back of Dallas for the
final spot in the Western Conference Playing Tournament.
Speaker 3 (02:11):
They're gonna need a minor miracle just to make the
playing tournament at this point.
Speaker 1 (02:15):
Amazing, Kelvin. Let me say a couple things here about
the Phoenix Suns. Okay, First, I'm happy that they're in
the toilet. I'm happy of where they are. And I'm
gonna say this because officially the Big Three is dead,
a thing of the past, right, The Big three. Hey
when they got Durant from the nets. Oh my god, right,
(02:38):
they got Devin Booker, young guy that went and got
Bradley Beal. Hey take him out of that bed Washington spot.
Speaker 3 (02:45):
You know what I mean.
Speaker 1 (02:45):
You got three unbelievable scores. They'll be fine. They got
a chance to make it to the finals and then
all that. Remember all that talk, and now here they
are eleven out of fourteen and mostly healthy.
Speaker 3 (02:56):
Right, they're healthy. There's no issue here.
Speaker 1 (03:00):
And I'm saying here that we gotta start with the
Big three. You don't need big, you don't need three.
You need two really good players. You see it in
Boston that can get get it done right with nice,
complimentary players around it. So I think that whole Big
Three era should be put to rest and to bed. Finally,
and this is probably the last one because there was
(03:22):
so much talk about the Phoenix Suns when that trade
was made, and you know, the thoughts are that they
had a shot at winning a title and all that
other stuff, but it didn't work out. But here's the
other part I'll add to that. This one, to me
is more disappointing and a bigger debacle than what happened
(03:43):
in Brooklyn, and I'm gonna tell you why. In Brooklyn,
it was about injuries. Those guys when they played together, Kelvin,
you remember this, they were great. They didn't play that
many games together, all three of them, but they were great.
Sunk the Brooklyn nets is that Kyrie got hurt in
(04:05):
the postseason, Harden kept getting hurt. Kevin Durant warsize sixteen
instead of a fourteen like they were at a shot
to this day, I believe they would have won a
championship had they been healthy and Durant didn't step on
the line on that game winning three in Game seven.
I believe that. But in this case, and Durant was
(04:27):
hurt a little bit. I remember he got hurt a
non contact injury, remember on the layup line or whatever
he was doing around the baskets.
Speaker 3 (04:34):
But their players are healthy.
Speaker 1 (04:35):
The got a young Devin Booker, Bradley Beal's not old like,
they have a good mix of guys.
Speaker 3 (04:44):
They shouldn't be this bad.
Speaker 1 (04:46):
Eleven out of fourteen and not even close.
Speaker 3 (04:51):
This team is putrid. It stinks well.
Speaker 5 (04:55):
You know what.
Speaker 6 (04:55):
So this is an awkward not awkward, but a different
way of explaining it for me, I think the Nett
version was more disappointing, but it wasn't their fault. And mostly,
I mean, obviously it was a crazy world we're in.
You had COVID, so you had Kyrie in his stance,
and specifically in the state of New York where you
know they had especially you know, they were really tight
(05:17):
on it in the beginning. You gotta get vaccinated, you
gotta get this. Kyrie didn't want to get vaccinated. So
that was a whole thing in and of itself. I mean,
there's probably a documentary coming from that, if there's not already.
Speaker 5 (05:26):
So you have that, you have injuries, and so they
only ended.
Speaker 6 (05:29):
Up playing, believe it or not, sixteenth games together, which
is crazy.
Speaker 1 (05:34):
And they were like fourteen and three yards. Yeah, we
like that.
Speaker 6 (05:40):
And you thought, oh, we're getting ready to see and
they were still you know, still the prime of Heart
and still the prime of KD. So you thought and
obviously the prime of Kyrie. So you thought, oh man,
this is about to be crazy. And you could argue
this might have been the most talented Big Three ever,
just pure talent. We didn't know the results, we didn't
know what was going to happen. We don't know about Champion,
but just if I said these guys in their primes,
(06:02):
you could argue that was the most talented, one of
the most talented big threes. So that ended up for
me being disappointing, and that we never got to see
it mature because of all the reasons COVID injury, suspensions
and all of that stuff. So that was more disappointing
for me using the term disappointing. But again, it wasn't
their fault, and part of the reason why it's more
disappointing because I didn't have the biggest expectations for the Suns,
(06:27):
not that I thought they would be this bad.
Speaker 5 (06:28):
They're future, They're horrible, They're embarrassing.
Speaker 6 (06:30):
As Kate even admitted, that was not I didn't think
they would be this bad. But I thought, and I've
said this from day one, I looked at that team
and said, well, who's passing the ball? Okay, okay, okay,
I get I get it, who's distributing, who's locking down?
Who can say tonight, I'm gonna go do another thing.
And that's usually what you have to have when you
(06:50):
have a big three, right you have to have Chris
Bosh who can get you twenty five to thirty any night.
Say you know what, I'm gonna get you sixteen eighteen
a night. But I'm cleaning up every rebound, right, I'm
gonna go get you twelve ten, fifteen rebounds.
Speaker 5 (07:03):
I'm blocking shots.
Speaker 6 (07:04):
We didn't even know Chris Bosh was that good of
a defender until he got to Miami because he realized
that's gonna have to be my role. Right, you have
nice wherede Wade says, I'm locking up on the wings
and I'm gonna score, win a fast break when I
need to whatever. But Lebron's gonna run this tack. They
didn't have that from the jump. To me, I looked
at them and said, they all guys who need the
ball to score and can't lie. It's not like they're
(07:25):
gonna do other things. They're not grabbing all the rebound,
they're not blocking shots, they're not lockeddown the fenders.
Speaker 5 (07:28):
They're capable defenders. But you get what I mean.
Speaker 6 (07:31):
And so to me, when you put it all together
and what you had to give up to make it happen,
I'm like, Uh, this roster is flawed.
Speaker 5 (07:39):
It's flawed. I don't like it.
Speaker 6 (07:41):
And so I guess for me, disappointment not by their fault,
was for of the net to me because I wanted
to see, WHOA, this is a crazy three?
Speaker 5 (07:49):
What would this be like? And then the world shut
down and chaos ensued?
Speaker 6 (07:52):
Phoenix, I never liked it from the jump, and I
think it's just a larger reflection what I thought would happen.
Speaker 5 (07:57):
I didn't think it would be this bad.
Speaker 6 (07:59):
But this is disappointing because you thought by now they
could figure something out.
Speaker 1 (08:04):
But eleven out of fourteen low, That's that's not that's
not even close. Forget about aspirations of winning anything, like,
there's no way with that talent, those three guys that
you look, the NBA is filled with bad teams.
Speaker 5 (08:19):
Yeah, all over the place, and you bet on them
all the time.
Speaker 6 (08:22):
Yes, the Wizards, but there's but there's a lot of
bad teams.
Speaker 1 (08:28):
Kevin Durant on the team that's lost eleven out of fourteen,
and you know what I'm saying, Like, seriously, Devin Booker,
who people were talking about when they went to the finals.
Speaker 3 (08:39):
Rob g that he's the next Kobe? Am I right
or wrong that that people.
Speaker 5 (08:44):
Were saying that.
Speaker 3 (08:45):
He's the next Kobe? I remember it.
Speaker 1 (08:47):
They were up to Oh, they were already Oh you
know who.
Speaker 3 (08:52):
Else, Chris Chris Paul, Chris Paul. Give him his due.
He's not one of the best point guards who ever
played in the game.
Speaker 1 (09:03):
He's gonna pass Isaiah. Do you remember all that?
Speaker 5 (09:06):
I do?
Speaker 3 (09:07):
They were up to it and they ain't been right since.
Speaker 1 (09:10):
That's what I'm trying to say, Like, like, how do
we go from Devin Brooker's the next Kobe and he
gets Kevin Durant.
Speaker 5 (09:19):
And the worst teams in the entire ye and they.
Speaker 1 (09:22):
Started this season I believe eight and one. Do you
remember the start? Yeah, Oh, finally it's gonna click. Finally
they got all that. Everything's going right. We're gonna see
what happens. That's why I'm saying it's bigger. It's a
bigger disappointment. We didn't get to see the nets. Guys
didn't get to play, So you can't really be disappointing.
(09:43):
I mean, I know what you mean that that it
never materialized, But it wasn't like they played and they
were disappointing.
Speaker 5 (09:51):
That's played disappointment for me.
Speaker 6 (09:53):
It was disappointment, like, oh man, I never got to
see It's like if you were excited about some big
concert and it got rained out or shut out, and
you're like, man, I'm.
Speaker 1 (10:00):
Just Aretha Franklin was sick and Pbo Bryson had the same.
Speaker 6 (10:04):
Yeah, buddy, I know you wanted your money back. I
wanted my he go you nice and all, but you
ain't the Queen. You ain't Aretha the rereach.
Speaker 1 (10:11):
I walked out of that radio City Music called me
and my buddy ed with our hands held high like
we got rob exactly.
Speaker 5 (10:20):
And that's to me how I felt again with the Nets.
That's so I said.
Speaker 6 (10:22):
It wasn't their fault injuries, COVID suspensions, but I felt
like that team because you have James Hardkin, one of
the best distributors of his era. He can go on
pure passing mode like he's been doing even with the
Clippers this year. He can lead the league and assists.
Kyrie can assists a score KD at that point, straight
up score like they had the makings to be like, oh,
(10:43):
they can do different things. You had levels like Kyrie
doesn't like to necessarily he shoot streets, but doesn't like to.
Speaker 5 (10:48):
He wants to get in the paint.
Speaker 6 (10:50):
He wants to get in the mid range, right, So
HOWRD you can shoot the threes KD can shoot. I
mean that that team had me like, oh shoot, this
could be scary. So that's why I said it's disappointing,
not in the same under it of the Suns. That
was that what I never got to see happen. There
was a supergroup that I was supposed to happen Rob
and Rob g as well and Mary.
Speaker 5 (11:08):
Let me educate you.
Speaker 6 (11:10):
There was supposed to be a super rap group jah
Rul DMX and jay Z and late nineteen ninety eight ninety.
Speaker 5 (11:16):
Nine ers, and they were gonna be this supergroup.
Speaker 6 (11:19):
And because they all had they had this couple of
songs together and IRV Gotti Rest in Peace just passed
recently last couple weeks. That was supposed to happen, and
then they all obviously start blowing up and it just
it just they kept we'll get back to it, We'll
get back to it, and it never happened.
Speaker 5 (11:33):
That to me is how it felt.
Speaker 6 (11:34):
I was about to get a group with Ja Rul
DMX and jay Z and their peak that was about
to be crazy.
Speaker 5 (11:40):
That was the nets for me.
Speaker 6 (11:41):
So disappointing the Suns is just utterly discussed, because there's
no way you should be this bad. Maybe you're not
top sixteen, you're still fighting for playing and.
Speaker 5 (11:51):
The West is very loaded, so I could say you're one.
Speaker 6 (11:53):
Of two games from jumping all the way up to
the fourth or fifth because they're that crowded, you know,
six seven, eight, nine, ten, eleven. This is just trash man,
how bad they're playing, and they try to get rid
of KD now he's back.
Speaker 5 (12:06):
It just makes it awkward. They gotta blow this whole.
Speaker 1 (12:08):
Thing up, all right, crazy eight seven, seven ninety nine
on Fox eight seven, seven, nine nine six sixty three
sixty nine. What are your thoughts on Phoenix's Big Three
and do you think they're more disappointing than the Brooklyn's
Big Three was. We'll continue this conversation next with you

were just talking about just putting a button on the
Phoenix suns man and just the Big three.
Speaker 3 (13:28):
By the way, do you think it's dead?
Speaker 1 (13:31):
I think like like the idea of doing it at
one point, that's all everybody was trying to do was
put together three players.
Speaker 5 (13:37):
Yeah.
Speaker 6 (13:37):
You know, if you look at the NBA, I think
we've had seven different NBA champions the last seven years,
and if you look at them, there were really no
big threes for the most part.
Speaker 3 (13:47):
That's what I'm saying. That's what soo.
Speaker 6 (13:49):
By the way, rob Let Let Let Let let's let's
let's let's slow this down a little bit.
Speaker 5 (13:54):
What is the What is a big three?
Speaker 6 (13:56):
Because I do think we kind of needed to find
that because three team at three guys on your team
who were good.
Speaker 3 (14:02):
No, no, it's putting together three guys.
Speaker 1 (14:04):
I mean that that's I mean they put the guy
through Reant and then they got Bradley beal right.
Speaker 6 (14:08):
No, what I mean not just this team, I'm saying
because we have other teams like the Big three, like
I think for instance, like it was I mean he
was Draymond, Steph Curry, and Klay Thompson, not KD.
Speaker 5 (14:20):
Was that a Big three?
Speaker 7 (14:21):
No?
Speaker 6 (14:21):
Okay, I just want to make sure because some people
because I think sometimes we get a little to me.
I'm like some of these threes in these Big three
were starting to we giving them a little too much
love with the three part, like the big part of it,
Like it was a three, but it wasn't a Big three.
But I think we have proven if you have a
star in his prime Alai Jokic right where he's.
Speaker 5 (14:39):
Just unbelievable MVP.
Speaker 6 (14:41):
God knows how many he might win at the end
of his career, four, five, six, Who knows and you
have a Jamal Murray, who especially you know, comes alive
in the postseason kind of sleep not good but not
great during the regular season, not even an All Star,
but comes alive, especially when he sees purple and gold
Laker jersey in front of him. And then you have
a well crafted team around those two guys.
Speaker 1 (15:03):
The way I look at it, like I was like
just bringing people together.
Speaker 5 (15:08):
Oh no, no, no, I'm agree with you.
Speaker 6 (15:09):
When I'm moving on, I'm saying it's going back to
the that you don't need a big three anymore because
when you look at the Nuggets, when you look at
you know, the Celtics really are a big two and
then a bunch of.
Speaker 8 (15:19):
Good Maybe he's not even an All Star, you know
what I mean, And one of my attire never being
an awesome.
Speaker 1 (15:24):
I mean, and he's good, and it's really the playoffs
he's been tremendous.
Speaker 3 (15:28):
But just think about that.
Speaker 6 (15:31):
He might he's the new Mike Conley, where like we
all went, duh, you're one of the best point guards
in the league. In his case, you know, kind of
a shooting guard, combo guard. But you're like, man, he
may never make it in the West. Maybe he'll sneak
out one like Mike Conley finally got like year twelve
or thirteen. But yeah, you look at I think having
a really really really good two Ala Lebron and ad
(15:53):
Ala Jalen Brown and Jason Tatum, you know, and then
you can build around that. To me, it's all about
a well crafted team, a team that has guys who.
Speaker 3 (16:04):
Know the role.
Speaker 6 (16:05):
You're a defender, that's all you do. You're three and
d or you're just nothing but a rim protector. You
you hit big threes.
Speaker 5 (16:12):
That's you know.
Speaker 6 (16:12):
And guys who know the role, they play their parts.
You know, a KCP Bruce Brown for the UH when
he was with the Nuggets. You know, I look at
guys like you know, if you take a Drew Holliday
with the Celtics for another team, he's probably the main
focal point in all.
Speaker 5 (16:29):
Star like caliber.
Speaker 6 (16:30):
But on this when they really what they needed was
control the temple, play good d that's what the Celtics need.
Speaker 5 (16:34):
Hit the big shot air there.
Speaker 6 (16:36):
You know, they and Derek White play your role, big shots,
lockdown defender, steady with the ball. You just need guys
who know their role and UH, and I think that's
what the Suns underestimate. They just thought, we got Bill
that's twenty five points, we got Kde that's twenty five
to thirty, and then Derrick Booker's twenty five to thirties,
and we should win. Like, well, who's playing d who's
(16:57):
locking up, who's getting rebounds, who's setting the tempo, who
controlling the temple?
Speaker 5 (17:01):
Are we gonna slow it down? We're gonna speed it up.
Speaker 6 (17:02):
And they got rid of anybody who could have been
a contributor in the other.
Speaker 5 (17:05):
Side of the ball.
Speaker 6 (17:06):
And it's like, good luck with some of these well
rail crafted and well run teams.
Speaker 1 (17:11):
Yeah, kind of crazy speaking of teams, and the Dallas
Mavericks just keep making news, rob G.
Speaker 3 (17:18):
So we already know the fans were just so upset.
Speaker 1 (17:21):
And you remember they had the fake coughing out there
when they traded Luca, and oh, I mean crazy stuff.
Can you imagine bringing a coughing down to the arena
and bringing it outside to act like you know, something
is something that just.
Speaker 3 (17:34):
Died or whatever. And now, rob G, that's the epitome
of built different. It really is.
Speaker 1 (17:41):
And the one I mean, and I've said this before,
you know, when you know twenty two year old guys
were saying, you know, it was they harkened the trade
to like when Kennedy was shot in Dallas, and I
just said, I mean, like, like Kelvin you saw that, right, Yeah,
we got robbery. They're like twenty something years old talking
(18:05):
about this is like when Kennedy was shot.
Speaker 6 (18:10):
Only nine to eleven is the only thing you can
kind of, you know, you can say, I remember where
I was.
Speaker 5 (18:15):
It's tragedy.
Speaker 6 (18:16):
And maybe there's one other thing in recent years I'm
missing h but definitely I mean JFK really yeah, okay,
And that just shows where American politicians. We're like, man,
that trade was like president being assassinated.
Speaker 5 (18:29):
You're like, wait, hold on, hold on, hold on, hold on.
Speaker 4 (18:30):
Now, well is if they weren't already mad enough in Dallas,
what they didn't did now Robbie the Mavericks, which they
say is coincidental, it's Kinkie, announced over the weekend that
they are raising ticket prices for next season by an
average of eight point six and the increase is due
to quote, ongoing investments in the team and fan engagement.
Speaker 6 (18:57):
Fan engagement, you mean sending out emails remember this, Hey,
y'all are bad you're right, man, we might email us
about getting your money back.
Speaker 5 (19:05):
I'm sorry, remember that that email that.
Speaker 3 (19:07):
The guy leads I know what happened with that. That
probably didn't.
Speaker 6 (19:10):
Go for those who don't know, there's a there's a
ticket holder who emailed them about, yo, you got rid
of Luke im upset of the dobe and they were like,
just email us, we can you know, we're trying to
consider some things what we might do.
Speaker 5 (19:21):
And he leaked and got out there to the local news.
Speaker 3 (19:23):
But it ain't no way that they gave money back. Well, no,
I did that guy did. We don't know about anybody
else yet.
Speaker 1 (19:29):
Yeah, I'm serious, like like he got he caught a
soft guy, you know what I mean?
Speaker 3 (19:33):
Or somebody freaking out role they're freaking out.
Speaker 5 (19:35):
They didn't know.
Speaker 4 (19:36):
We're ejecting fans from the arena for hiring fire Nico signs.
Speaker 5 (19:41):
So there's your engagement. It costs. Hey, he's security. You
know how much security Nico needs? That fan engagement is crazy?
We need more securities. Gonna cost you eight percent more,
that's crazy.
Speaker 6 (19:53):
And then they come out and they said, well, when
the governor of the team goes, well, yeah, we didn't
necessarily think it was gonna be this blowback with the fans.
Oh really, trading your twenty five year old all world
on Everything player international. He's an international star, international star,
who didn't ask for a trade, who wasn't disgruntled finishing
(20:15):
closing on the home man.
Speaker 5 (20:17):
We didn't think the blowback will be this crazy?
Speaker 6 (20:21):
Come on, man, crazy Now, ticket prices up for a
guy because you said he was injury prone. You think
something catastrophic is gonna happen injury wise, Yet you go
get an injury prone guy in Anthony Davis who the.
Speaker 5 (20:31):
First game goes down. But we want we want.
Speaker 6 (20:33):
More money from you, though, Boy, I tell you, pizza
better be costing five dollars for a day. They better
take little Caesars hot and ready theory and be giving
fans sell.
Speaker 3 (20:43):
Do you know that now?
Speaker 4 (20:44):
I know that Alex is known on the show as
the quote unquote conspiracy theorist.
Speaker 2 (20:48):
Yes?
Speaker 5 (20:49):
Right?
Speaker 4 (20:50):
Do you buy into the conspiracy theory and ANBA circles
that this is all just a ruse to get them
to move the team to Vegas?
Speaker 5 (20:56):
Well, I actually I've I've mentioned.
Speaker 3 (20:58):
That, thank you, Mary, let me go x files on you.
Speaker 5 (21:02):
I've mentioned that a few times. Listen the new owner,
one of the owners, the woman who kind of runs it.
Speaker 6 (21:09):
Uh.
Speaker 5 (21:09):
Then there's obviously the governor. He's more the face of it.
But they have told I keep bringing this up.
Speaker 6 (21:13):
There are reports out there that they want to add
at a casino to the building.
Speaker 5 (21:18):
They said, no, they.
Speaker 3 (21:19):
Don't have gambling in Texas, right.
Speaker 6 (21:22):
And so they're like, no, we can't do it. Well,
she's like, well, what if we just move the team
in Vegas. They're like no, and that they might have
reguggedly said.
Speaker 5 (21:29):
Well, we're gonna, We're gonna. It's almost you know, we
all love this movie Major League.
Speaker 3 (21:33):
The movie Major We don't buy it at all.
Speaker 1 (21:35):
Because the NBA is going to have an expansion team
in in Vegas. Why would they take the Mavericks and
then send an expansion team to Dallas where people are
already mad and function like I just that doesn't make
any sense to me.
Speaker 5 (21:52):
It just doesn't. Nobody ask you, didn't nobody ask you
to make sense.
Speaker 3 (21:57):
Conspiracy theory made sense.
Speaker 6 (22:00):
Hits the music again, this was X files were okay,
don't come out here, poo pulling our conspiracy.
Speaker 4 (22:07):
The rabbit hole rob I won't do it. You're trying
to live above ground. That's not where the conspiracy is.
Speaker 6 (22:13):
Are coming in here with a wet blanket, putting out
the fire.
Speaker 2 (22:16):
Steve believes it.
Speaker 3 (22:17):
Steve doesn't believe in it. It doesn't make sense.

Speaker 5 (22:45):
There, you gonna set you up, Eddie?
Speaker 3 (22:47):
What's up? Eddie?
Speaker 7 (22:49):
What's that?
Speaker 4 (22:49):
Man?
Speaker 7 (22:50):
What's happening? I love the way you uh, I love
the intro.
Speaker 5 (22:53):
Yeah, I got you man, Thank you, brother. I appreciate that. Yeah,
I saw you what you do?
Speaker 3 (23:00):
Unlike the Celtics.
Speaker 1 (23:01):
So on Friday night against the Cavs, I just got
one question, A.
Speaker 7 (23:05):
What about Sunday afternoon? Again?
Speaker 3 (23:07):
No, I want to go there first? Can we go
there first?
Speaker 1 (23:10):
Because they were up twenty five to three and I
have one question for.
Speaker 3 (23:13):
You, Wahapa Lucy. What was that game that was an
unbelievable game for the Cavaliers?
Speaker 7 (23:19):
It was I'll tell you this. We didn't have Jew Holiday,
we didn't have four Zenas, and I'm not gonna sit
here and say, hey, we shouldn't have won that game
without them. But when you do have those guys, you
have other players that can produce and put up points.
For Zingis, I think he's averaging close to twenty points.
(23:40):
We know what Jew Holliday can do on the defensive end.
We could throw different bodies at Donovan Mitchell to try
to slow him down and not saying you're gonna ever
stop him because he's an amazing player.
Speaker 3 (23:50):
How did you get up twenty five to three to Celtics.
Speaker 7 (23:53):
We came out there, we came out the gates blazing,
and it's a four quarter game and you know that
that stretch right there we won and at the end
they won those stretches and I don't believe do you
believe this? Let me ask you a question, since we
ask the questions, do you believe in a seven game
(24:13):
series that they could beat us four games before we
beat them four games?
Speaker 1 (24:18):
It's not impossible. It's not impossible. That's why we played.
Speaker 3 (24:22):
But I say, upsets happened all the day. I don't know,
I see going in. I'm not convinced that the Cavaliers can't.
I'm not convinced of that.
Speaker 5 (24:30):
Hold On, hold on, let me jumped.
Speaker 3 (24:33):
Hold on, they can't.
Speaker 7 (24:33):
There's not a team in the NBA that could be
the seven games before we beat them in four games
in a seven game series before.
Speaker 1 (24:39):
We So what So it's impossible for them to lose
a game at all? Is thould you tell them me
the Celtics can't lose.
Speaker 7 (24:45):
I didn't say they can't lose. I said a seven
game series win.
Speaker 1 (24:49):
So they're going to win every championship for the next
four years. Is that what you're telling me?
Speaker 7 (24:53):
I'm not I didn't say that. You're putting words in
my mouth. I'm talking about this year, Eddie.
Speaker 6 (24:59):
This is what you was up the cord. This is
what he likes to do the people. No, no, no, wrong,
I'm saying. So it's Cleveland beat and Boston yes or
no in a series, yes or no question, real simple,
yes or no.
Speaker 5 (25:07):
Rob Look at him drinking a little minute made water
or whatever.
Speaker 2 (25:11):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (25:11):
See what it is, Rob, I'll make the pick. But
I got to see who's playing.
Speaker 1 (25:16):
If I tell you that now, If I tell you
that now and Donovan Mitchell is not playing on a.
Speaker 6 (25:20):
Homie Mary I need Mary I need to take and
Mary I need to take.
Speaker 5 (25:24):
So when he tried to.
Speaker 1 (25:24):
Do that to me, all I'm saying is he's still
mad Eddie because I told him that the Lions weren't
gonna make the Super Bowl.
Speaker 5 (25:30):
I'm not mad all ye.
Speaker 3 (25:32):
I told him that when they were fifteen and two.
I told him that, Eddi, the Lions.
Speaker 7 (25:38):
The Lions ain't gonna get there.
Speaker 5 (25:39):
Right, we know that, See Eddie, See Eddie. Here we are.
We were bonding.
Speaker 6 (25:43):
Now, I don't want to talk to you, all right,
let me ask you this with the I'm gonna switch
to the other coast. And what everybody knows is the
best rivalry we ever had in the NBA with the Lakers.
And go to the Lakers. You have been out on them.
You thought that would be cute to me, fun, but
you haven't bought in. But over the last twenty two
two games since January fifteenth, they're eighteen and four. They
(26:03):
have the number one defensive rating and the Lakers. Of course,
at that ninety five, they holding the teams to ninety
five and a half points, which is six in the NBA.
So what do you make I'm not asking you to
say they're winning the championship, but just what are your analysis.
Speaker 3 (26:17):
Of this team the last you know, two and a
half months.
Speaker 7 (26:22):
I think they've been playing really good basketball. I wouldn't
say two and a half months of yeah, that's so far,
that's not two and a great basketball. I will say
the last eight games they've been playing really good, especially
when they got the tray for Luca. They've been playing well.
The one thing that I can also say to that
they did lose to the Charlotte Hornets. They did lose
(26:42):
to the Utah Jazz. Okay, so let's not forget that
they lost to those two teams. Now, if they lost
to teams that are upper echelon, teams that are in
the playoffs, that are rocking and rolling, then I could say, hey,
you know what, this team is real. They took care
of business against the weak teams, but they lost the
two weeks. So it shows thinking their armor and me
(27:03):
being a Celtic, you know, I already know how I
feel about the Lakers. There is no way that I'm
going to say anything positive about them, except that I
can say this that they are playing good basketball. You know,
I would say that about they are playing good basketball,
but when it comes to playoff time and it comes
into playing every other game every other day, excuse me,
(27:25):
and then that floor shrinks. I believe that right now
they're able to get away with teams not picking on
Luca the way that they're going to that you can
pick on Luca, and I'm not going to reveal secrets
on how you do that. But I also feel like
the NBA is trying to set it up to be
a Lakers Celtics Lakers Finals, and I mean that would
(27:49):
be I mean that would be epic. It'd be great
for ratings and things like that, and I wouldn't mind
it because I know how we would run through them.
Speaker 3 (27:58):
I hear you. I was gonna ask you.
Speaker 1 (28:01):
You live in the desert of the sun in Phoenix
and Arizona. What's happened to the Suns losing eleven of fourteen?
They got all that guys there, I'm talking about Durant
and Devin Booker and Bradley Beal. How do they lose
eleven out of fourteen.
Speaker 7 (28:21):
Name everybody else on the team.
Speaker 6 (28:24):
I can't name them Charles bark with Dan Marley, Jeff.
Speaker 2 (28:30):
For a.
Speaker 7 (28:32):
And that's no disrespect to the role players. But the
role players aren't making a name for themselves. They're not
stepping up because it doesn't matter what you have. If
you have a top heavy team, you got to have
back end role players that are able to come in
and step in and play. You know, me and myself
being a role player my whole career, I've never been
in a position to be those guys. I don't know
(28:53):
what it's like to be those guys. I don't know
the weight that it carries to be those guys. I
know the weight that I had to carry and what
I had to do every single night to survive in
this league, to be able to be on championship team,
championship level teams and make sure that I was doing
my job night in and night out. I just don't
think that they're getting enough night in and night out
(29:14):
help from all of the role players. I thought that
Tyas Jones when they got him, I thought that was
gonna be able to alleviate some of Devin Bookers on
the ball having to do everything picking roll wise and
could catch the ball with a live dribble and things
like that. I don't know if it's internally, if the players.
(29:35):
I'm not sure if the players don't like each other
number one or on number two. They're just not filling
the coach and you can't keep recycling coaches. I think
it's time for probably to blow that thing up. Kevin Durant,
obviously they were trying to trade him. We already know
he's out the door of this offseason. Devin Booker, with
(29:56):
a career in front of him, he might be wanting
to look to say, hey, I need to get up
out of here too. I could go somewhere else and
play as well, and then Bradley Beal will be there
and it will be Bradley Bill's team, and then we
rebuild and they'll be Washington DC. It'll be the Washington
Wizards all over again.
Speaker 6 (30:16):
Man, well, here is Eddie House, and I think Eddie,
you might mess around your conspiracy.
Speaker 5 (30:22):
I guess this is the conspiracy day.
Speaker 6 (30:23):
We've been talking about it because you might mess around
and get what you mentioned earlier. Celtics Lakers game time
for a little bit uh and the NBA Finals will
have to see Eddie Man. Thank you so much for
joining us as always, thank you.
Speaker 7 (30:34):
Buddy, always good man. You guys take care.
Speaker 6 (30:37):
Appreciate you. Adn't have to do my lines like that.
But whatever, that's either here nor there. I will move
on all right. The Steelers they still have a quarterback dilemma.
What are they gonna do? What should they do? We'll
tell you it is the odd couple. Rob Kelvin on

Rob G. I know this was your era, boy. This
was college era for sure. This the Yan Yank Twins
at about a three four year run. That was all
absolute Voltagy. He doesn't remember college at all. He was
drunk through most of it. I'm confirm this or denying
confirm or denied this. I guess he is confirming what
(31:31):
you said.
Speaker 5 (31:32):
Rob.
Speaker 3 (31:32):
Oh No, that is not true. That is not not true.
I was waiting.
Speaker 5 (31:36):
I'm not gonna lie.
Speaker 3 (31:37):
I move Rob you.
Speaker 6 (31:37):
I was waiting for the what to confirm. Yeah, I know, Rober,
you didn't say that. I gave you a chance to
explain yourself.
Speaker 5 (31:43):
You didn't.
Speaker 4 (31:43):
Right there we are, wait, Rob said I was drunk
all in college. I said, that is a lie. So
what were you asking?
Speaker 5 (31:49):
Oh we didn't hear you. Okay, we didn't. We didn't
hear that. You speak up, man, say what's your chance?
All right?
Speaker 6 (31:53):
This is the odd couple Robin Kevin on the Magic

Speaker 3 (32:13):
See this brown shirt I'm wearing.
Speaker 5 (32:15):
With Yeah, see out there. Man, you got the chocolate
on chocolate on choco. See right now? What did you
do at class today?
Speaker 7 (32:20):
Ah?
Speaker 1 (32:20):
Yes, you know I gave my midterm? Are you ready
for this midterm? Are you finished.
Speaker 6 (32:25):
I'm sorry, no, yeah, be sure to subscribe and always
have instant access to our videos.
Speaker 5 (32:29):
What you got?
Speaker 1 (32:30):
So, my midterm was breaking news and they had to
write the story, a four hundred word story in forty
five minutes, and I gave out a press release and
the breaking news was that the Lakers had released Ronnie James.
Speaker 5 (32:46):
You were so thrilled.
Speaker 3 (32:46):
They're like, man, why is mister Parker smiling?
Speaker 1 (32:50):
So no, no, I just wanted to see how to
handle the story and what I gotta have.
Speaker 3 (32:54):
You had a chance of looking at it at I haven't.
I walked around the room.
Speaker 1 (32:57):
What I do do is I walk round and I
checked their leads to see, you know, where they're going
with it, yeah and whatever, and some were really good
and whatnot. So I'm anxious to see. But that was
the midterm.
Speaker 8 (33:08):
How many people in the class fifteen or sixteen?
Speaker 5 (33:12):
Okay, now that's a perfect amount to be able.
Speaker 3 (33:13):
To yeah, learn, hands on their learn.
Speaker 1 (33:16):
Yeah, I know everybody, you know, I know what their
strengths are.
Speaker 6 (33:19):
It's good, yeah, dude, because it can get crazy, you know,
and you feel bad for teachers. Man, it's you know,
one teacher twenty eight thirty thirty five kids. You're like, man,
what am I supposed to show me these lecture? Yeah,
it's just it's insane, So shout out to you. That's
pretty dope. I'll be interested to hear what they say
when you started grading them. Read a couple, you know,
keep the names anonymous.
Speaker 3 (33:39):
Yeah, read what they say?
Speaker 6 (33:41):
Yeah, all right, yeah, man, you were fired up about
these Steelers and they don't know what they're doing right now.
They still got justin Field, still don't know they're gonna do.
Russell Wilson are they can bring anybody else in and
try to figure out this quarterback situation.
Speaker 3 (33:54):
They don't. They don't know what they're doing. Like this
has been the biggest mistake.
Speaker 1 (34:00):
Is the quarterback for the Steelers, you know, ever since
Ben Roethlisberger retired, right like seriously, they've had ten quarterbacks.
None good, Like I can't and I'm not gonna say
Russell Wilson wasn't good at all.
Speaker 8 (34:14):
I get what you mean, but you know what I mean, like,
none that could stick and be their quarterback for years
to come. They've had like a revolving door and most
of them can't throw the football for whatever reason.
Speaker 3 (34:29):
And that's why I don't really.
Speaker 1 (34:31):
Get the idea, you know that they're gonna go back
to the same situation that they had. I just think,
why won't they go out and make a real bid
for a quarterback who's going to be around for five
years or ten? You know what I mean, like make
(34:51):
a real quarterback push. I don't get it.
Speaker 5 (34:54):
Well, I mean, listen, listen to these names. You ready
for this?
Speaker 6 (34:57):
Mason Rudolph they've had, they had him, say right, you
got and obviously they they held on to Ben Roethlisberger
too long, you know what I mean, where it was like,
all right, it's time to move on from there. Then
you just got Canny Pickett they draft him. That wasn't
the guy. Mitchell Trubuski, they get him Trubuski and they
get him from the Bears.
Speaker 5 (35:15):
Wasn't the guy? Then they go to the Bears and
they able to get Justin Fields.
Speaker 1 (35:19):
Who again, how about Duck Hodges in the twenty fourth
fifth century?
Speaker 5 (35:24):
No, I'm not that's just that's no Devin.
Speaker 3 (35:27):
You see what but you see names you're saying, mean.
Speaker 5 (35:31):
That's just bad man. When you're looking at what would
you do? Yo?
Speaker 6 (35:34):
They So I'm sticking with Justin Fields for the simple
fact that I still think he's young enough to see
what I have. And then to me, that's why this
last season would have been valuable. So you could, to
your point move on and say, all right, he ain't it.
But now you're getting these hints that they actually are
interested and they actually have mutual uh feelings towards each
other between Fields and his team and then the Steelers
(35:56):
in the organization.
Speaker 5 (35:57):
So you start to say, okay.
Speaker 6 (35:59):
While we're back to square one where we won last year,
where he was four and two, ten touchdowns, one interception,
one fumble, they were moving the ball a bit.
Speaker 5 (36:08):
They wasn't prolific.
Speaker 6 (36:09):
I'm not gonna see the back like they were, you know,
the twenty twenty Chiefs or anything. But to me, it's
an organizational thing that they're struggling to have offense in
a big explosive offenses period, whether it be with Justin Fields,
whether it be with Russell Wilson, whether it be with
mitchter Chrubuski. So there's something there within the organization where
they struggle to have massive offensive outputs. But to me,
(36:32):
I want to go one more time with Justin Fields.
Also still seeing what's out there that maybe sign a veteran.
Speaker 3 (36:36):
I just I want to see think Justin Fields, I've
been there, I hear you. I just think, here's my issue.
Speaker 5 (36:42):
I don't love them.
Speaker 1 (36:43):
I feel I know they don't because because they would
have and you know this, when they were won four
and oh when he was there or whatever, what.
Speaker 3 (36:51):
Was their record was it?
Speaker 8 (36:53):
Four and two two? Yeah, four and two, Yeah, they
would have stuck with him and they would have just
said he's the future. And for them, the just give
up that easily told me that they weren't in love
with him. That's all I'm saying. I'm not saying he
can't play.
Speaker 6 (37:05):
But see, I wonder if this is my thing, Rob,
did they not like him as much as that they
just thought, Hey, Russell Wilson's a guy who's a priez
of Super Bowl and you know, a veteran. I think
that played more so than their dislike of Fields
