Speaker 4 (01:46):
We were Besides from the the obvious in the World
Series obviously taking up all the second about the oxygen
in the sports world, there still was some football and
the game we all kind of discussed. You have the
Bills Chiefs being one of Another one that we kind
of kept an eye on was the Colts at Pittsburgh,
which was the Colts coming in at the time seven
and one, obviously a lot of people high on them,
and then the Pittsburgh Steelers coming in.

Speaker 2 (02:08):
Yeah, you a the quarterback as an MVP, he was MVP.

Speaker 4 (02:11):
Kennedy Patrick Mahomes is gonna probably win. Is he still
he's MVP after this week two?

Speaker 2 (02:16):
Yeah, he still got like what eight weeks or something
like that. No, I'm talking about after this.

Speaker 4 (02:19):
They ain't gonna give it to Jonathan Taylor, So it
got to be a quarterback. But going into this game,
we had a couple of guests on throughout last week
and I was wondering, what, you know, what would this be?
This is a great game for both teams to kind
of put their mark on where they are through it
a halfway part of the season and what this team has,
what the teams really are heading towards the second half.
And I went into it. The Colts looked awful, they

(02:41):
looked horrible. Daniel Jones we talked about, ended up having
three hundred and forty two yards touchdown, three interceptions. But
Jonathan Taylor, the key part to me, only forty five yards.
And if you're gonna hold Jonathan Taylor to only forty
five yards, he's an engine that that then that's gonna
be a recipe for disaster. Because Daniel Jones, while he
has had a great resurgence, Daniel Jones, I can't rely

(03:04):
simply on Daniel Jones, so that can't be the case.

Speaker 1 (03:07):
Credit the one big stat though, but he also had
three fumbles.

Speaker 2 (03:10):
He had about to get to three interceptions and three fumbles.

Speaker 4 (03:14):
I just want you to and he he was singularly
the reason they lost. And again the defense to the
Steelers obviously caused those interceptions, caused those fumbles. But I
walked away from again rob underwhelmed by the Steelers because
when I look and I tell you in two games

(03:34):
that they had eleven turnovers against the Colts, they had
six against the Patriots handful of weeks back, they had five,
and each game you escape by a touchdown. I walk
away from this still not knowing what the Pittsburgh Steelers
are other than what I think they are, which.

Speaker 1 (03:53):
Is nine and eight, ten and seven. No, No, you
don't have them ten wins. Don't even do that. I've
been saying, No, you have nine and eight.

Speaker 2 (04:01):
You know you did not. We have a bet on
any and what I say, we have a bet on
ten wins.

Speaker 1 (04:04):
So it can't be that you think they're gonna get
ten because we have a bet on ten win. They're
absolutely just no, we have a bet on ten. And
you know what, I'm gonna stop you, and I'm gonna
stop you.

Speaker 2 (04:15):
Hold on, let me get my last point.

Speaker 1 (04:17):
Get your lad if I told you to you, if
I go ahead, I want to give you eleven turnovers.

Speaker 4 (04:24):
Ridiculous. You're supposed to dominate. If I give you six turnovers,
you're supposed to win handily. If I give you five
against the Patriots, you're supposed to win handily. And I'm
not saying every game you gotta win by twenty five
points or something at all. But they have not been
a team that's flump jumped to finish dominated somebody. They've
not ha been a team that is just bludging somebody.

(04:45):
And again, you you, you have all these opportunities to
do so, and I walk away with the Steelers going eh,
and I just walk away saying they are middle of
the pack, middle of the road, and within their own division.
I still question if they're gonna be able to come
out of this. Obviously, the Ravens feel comfortable and confident
in what they would be able to do, and if
the Bengals could ever close the game, the Bengals could.

Speaker 2 (05:06):
Good good luck with that Bengals.

Speaker 4 (05:09):
No Joe Burrow, Joe Burrows talking about the damn Bengals.
Let me get my issue I have with you, Kelvin.

Speaker 2 (05:17):
What's that? Here's my issue. It's about winning and losing.

Speaker 1 (05:21):
This whole notion about having to win the way you
want them to win. That makes no sense because guess what.
Last year the Chiefs won eleven one score games, which
is exactly what the Steelers are doing. So it's okay
when the Chiefs and Patrick Mahomes wins by the skin
of their teeth.

Speaker 2 (05:41):
Oh it do man it fifteen and two. They won
the game. I don't care how they won. They won.

Speaker 1 (05:48):
And you're sitting here talking about coming into that game.

Speaker 2 (05:52):
If you watched any pre free.

Speaker 1 (05:56):
Pregame football show, the Colts annihilate the Pittsburgh Steelers. That's
all everybody said. They're going to annihilate the Steelers. They've
lost the last two games. There's no way.

Speaker 3 (06:10):
This is the.

Speaker 1 (06:10):
Number one offense against one of the worst defenses.

Speaker 2 (06:14):
They will be annihilated in a.

Speaker 1 (06:17):
Must win game for the Steelers against a really good
team record wise, and guess what they did. They did
what they had to do, which was win the game.
And the last touchdown. If you want to say, oh,
it's so close, you give it to them. Don't let
them score too early, make them eat up some clock.

Speaker 2 (06:37):
I get all that. Take your foot off the gas.

Speaker 1 (06:40):
You don't have to press because that's what the Bears
wind up doing giving up two touchdowns to the Bengals.

Speaker 2 (06:46):
You don't want that to happen.

Speaker 1 (06:48):
And the bottom line is that was a must win
for the Steelers and they got it done against the
team everybody and their uncle were picking the Colts in
that game because of what they had done and the
way that the Steelers defense they came up with turnovers.

Speaker 4 (07:04):
So so which one is it? No, I'll graduated the
chief one is it?

Speaker 2 (07:09):
I let you go? Now the Chiefs. The reason why
the completely different.

Speaker 4 (07:12):
And you know, for the entire season I said right
here and told you what did I tell you?

Speaker 2 (07:16):
Patrick Mahomes don't look right? What did I tell you?

Speaker 4 (07:19):
Patrick Mahomes is not He's forcing it, Patrick Mahomes, It
makes it easy throws. He's forcing because he's missing guys.
And that's the other thing. The Chiefs never had their guys.
They were never a complete team. So for them to, oh,
they gotta be done, I'm not arguing that that was
the issue last year, is that Patrick Mahomes and that
team were finding ways to win as they kept losing, guys,

(07:40):
kept dropping guys. This guy come back, this guy's out
and that's what made it remarkable. And also they are
a championship team, so you must respect that.

Speaker 2 (07:48):
That is not what the Steelers are.

Speaker 4 (07:50):
The Steelers ain't even want to post get a playoff
game in so long, and they have their full compliment
of who they're supposed to be.

Speaker 2 (07:56):
This is why I thought, in the terrible defense and
get there.

Speaker 4 (08:00):
Five nins my point at the halfway points, and that's
five games. That's why I still walk away make any sense,
That's why I walk away from them still saying they
don't if I'm another team and you're talking about postseason.
To me, they last year the number one offensive mask
because they got all of it.

Speaker 2 (08:17):
They turned the ball over.

Speaker 1 (08:18):
Six and they turn it over to the game.

Speaker 4 (08:22):
I'm just trying to still walk away from not knowing
what the Stollers games in the NFL.

Speaker 1 (08:26):
I'll give you a history lesson. I decided by six
points a lot.

Speaker 2 (08:31):
Nobody's questioning. I go most of the NFL.

Speaker 4 (08:35):
And if six turnovers, I guarantee you don't win by three,
you don't have to nominate.

Speaker 1 (08:40):
If five interceptions and they lost to the Lions, it
ain't it's not automatic.

Speaker 4 (08:46):
I'm the game came from when I watched the Steelers
they dominate six.

Speaker 2 (08:50):
Did they win the game? Did they win? They won
the game? And they don't and they don't.

Speaker 4 (08:55):
Come on, man, they don't look great at these wins,
all these crazy and don't don't look good and don't
do that when I just spent a whole hour telling
you that the Dodgers won.

Speaker 2 (09:05):
Don't do that. No, you clearly get the difference. No,
you clearly get the big difference. Clearly get given you
for night then and home run today, and I.

Speaker 4 (09:12):
Give you six to six interceptions and the best you
do is barely beat me twice.

Speaker 2 (09:17):
Five and five turnovers games.

Speaker 1 (09:19):
Most NFL games are deciding most points turnovers. Last year,
you know, you know the difference between the Chiefs this
year and last year was that last year they were
eleven and oh in one score game. Guess what they
are this year and four four. That's why they have
That's why they they're five and four this season, because
they ever won those absolutely and swinging close games, those

(09:44):
of the games you want to win.

Speaker 4 (09:46):
And Steelers getting eleven turnovers between two games, nobody can
they won, and I walk away still feeling the same way.

Speaker 1 (09:55):
Man, No, you're just trying to man, You just you're pointing.
It's okay that I feel. Man, I can't even be wrong.
You can't walk away from the Steelers. You were wrong
about justin field. You were wrong about a lot of stuff.
And this is my thing. You just have this thing.
I understand you don't want to be wrong on this
Steelers thing. And they, hey, look you don't like I
feel No, you said, no, that's exactly what I said.

(10:17):
You have a shot, Russell Wilson have a shot to
win the division.

Speaker 2 (10:20):
And what I said, the.

Speaker 1 (10:23):
Russell Wilson not lose five games down the stretch. They
look exactly like they did with Russe Russell Wilson. That's
what I said. The season you did, you said eight
or nine will look just like they did.

Speaker 2 (10:33):
We have five or six, we have a bet on ten.

Speaker 1 (10:37):
All I know is halfway through they got five wins
and all they got to do is win another five
in the In the last nine games, I feel.

Speaker 4 (10:44):
Pretty exactly like I said. They were Russell Wilson. They
won five or six win then they lost five. Look
the same this whole team. That's it's exact same. That's
my point is I expecting if you get a good
game from your defensive, dominate something.

Speaker 2 (10:58):
You don't need a team.

Speaker 1 (11:00):
The Lords, the Bions dominated all those bad teams and
guess what it got them when it came down to
being fifteen playoff.

Speaker 2 (11:07):
They lost playoff win. They lost they last year the playoffs. No,
they did not.

Speaker 1 (11:12):
They lost their first playoff game last year, and they
dominated everybody.

Speaker 4 (11:17):
What do you what, they had a buy, They had
a buy and then they played Washington. They the Lions.
The difference between the Lions, the difference between the.

Speaker 2 (11:26):
Difference between two games. The difference between the Lions is
the Lions had a chance to go to the Super
Bowl the year.

Speaker 4 (11:32):
Before exactly what they sas And.

Speaker 2 (11:35):
I don't know.

Speaker 1 (11:36):
They dominated everybody last year, what did they get them?
And all of didn't get them anythings.

Speaker 4 (11:40):
They lost the Washington and Howlers are doing all of this,
and they looked the same as they did last year.
That's all I'm saying, Rob, is that the Steelers looked
exact same as they did with Russell Wilson, which is
what I thought would happened. It's all I'm saying. Aaron
Rodgers has been and that's perfectly fine. But to me,
they're gonna be I got you find themselves in the

(12:01):
same predicament. And I watched the game where I was
all right, they about to really show us something and
they didn't. I don't even know what that means.

Speaker 2 (12:07):
And they did. I don't even know what that means.
I don't understand, you don't know what that means.

Speaker 1 (12:10):
Twenty seven to thirteen. They give up a late touchdown
to make the game. You think it's close, That Lions
game was twenty seven to twenty four. Because I want
you to notice, no, no, no, I want you to know,
if you watch the game at all, that game it
wasn't close.

Speaker 2 (12:25):
It wasn't because close as the score would indicate. It
wasn't closed.

Speaker 1 (12:29):
The Lions were five or for seventeen on third down,
they couldn't convert.

Speaker 2 (12:33):
What are you talking about the game?

Speaker 1 (12:38):
I'm talking about the actual game, not the score, not
the lasting score. The actual game wasn't as close as
the score indicated.

Speaker 2 (12:46):
That's all I'm saying to you and all, let us score. School.

Speaker 4 (12:48):
You don't let us score. Watch you know what I'm saying,
don't let us twice. Now that I've watched them get
a total of eleven turnovers of the game.

Speaker 2 (12:55):
Did they win the game?

Speaker 4 (12:56):
I'm not arguing that, Okay, they won the game. Why
we wasted air on this same reason? Why you just
ignored the Dodgers win it?

Speaker 2 (13:03):
The game?

Speaker 4 (13:04):
A whole series, I should say, not a game show show.
Well then the well, then the coach show, if you're
gonna do it like that, then the Lions showed the
coach show. Anybody who loses chokes right, No, every it's
not everybody who loses.

Speaker 3 (13:18):
No.

Speaker 1 (13:18):
If there are teams you get beat sometimes and and
then there's times you know when it is yes, you
you lose. Sometimes the other team is just better than you.

Speaker 2 (13:28):
I just did I want you to say that? Sometimes?
All right? Eight seven seven ninety nine on Fox, I
want you say that, though, I do want you to
say that sometimes.

Speaker 1 (13:37):
All right, did you did you come away and pressed
by the Steelers and there win against the coach yesterday
or not? I must win for the season and they
win the game. But he doesn't like the style points
what nonsense. We'll continue that conversation next with you. Eight

Speaker 3 (16:46):
Brother?

Speaker 7 (16:47):
Hey? Loving the conversation? Man, Listen, listen. I've been a
Steelers fan ten years old, nineteen seventy seven. I've been
with him, riding with him ever since. Bleed black and Gold. Now,
which one of you guys was on the side of
I'm not that impressed me Kelvin. Dude, man, listen, League

(17:08):
black and Gold. But I also I am a realist, and
I am with you brothers. I'm telling you, man, First
of all, this is a wasted year. It's a wasted year.

Speaker 5 (17:18):
I didn't want a ride to begin with.

Speaker 7 (17:20):
Forty one years old. I've seen enough with the Jets.
I'm tired of screen passes, short passes. As he thrown
a pass down the middle long of the twenty yards,
I'm telling you you know what this is gonna be.

Speaker 2 (17:33):
YEA, did you did you want? Did you did you
did you want?

Speaker 1 (17:35):
Did you watch the sixty eight yard touchdown pass that
put them ahead and out of defense?

Speaker 2 (17:40):
Couldn't hold it. Did you see that play or did.

Speaker 1 (17:42):
You see them the playway through seventy yards into the
end zone on a hail Mary to say it didn't
throw twenty yards?

Speaker 2 (17:48):
Come on, man, gee W what are you talking about? W?
Go ahead, man, you're cooking it. You cooking? No, he
doesn't make any sound.

Speaker 7 (17:54):
I can no. You know what the end game is?
Ten and seven first round playoffs out.

Speaker 2 (17:59):
That's to saying no, no, no, exact, that's not what
you're saying. You said, you said.

Speaker 8 (18:04):
We have a bet, you said eight or nine? Whiz,
we have the video. The point you can have the nine.
I don't know. My point was the exact same season
is last year?

Speaker 1 (18:17):
Has heard me say this for a year, the exact
same season as Russell will We'll see, I will say
they may made the playoffs and they'll be out first
and it'll look the same and you lost a year
of finding the quarterball just to say well, we made
the playoffs again, so much so that they they want
to bring them back. We find Alice g w don't
even want them life longer, Alie in Pittsburgh.

Speaker 2 (18:37):
You're in the Collie. Don't even want him next year?

Speaker 9 (18:40):
Tell him Alice now, you know what, I'm trying to
be optimistic. Thank you the last player, the last player
I have. I don't want to agree with him, but
right now, the way I feel last night's defense, I
don't know where they came from. Jalen Ramsey said something
to them before the game.

Speaker 7 (18:57):
That got them all fired up.

Speaker 9 (18:59):
I felt really good about watching the defense last night,
and it was one of the first games I've been
able to watch for a while that I don't get
chess pain and I'm too old to get chess PA and.

Speaker 1 (19:08):
Their defense have been giving up thirty points a game alice.
The season was on the line last night, that depth
that they lost that game, the season was on the line,
and they responded against the best offense in the league.

Speaker 9 (19:22):
I know they did, and I think it gave them
a lot of confidence. And I think that I want
to think that Aaron Rodgers is going to improve with
the year as the year goes off. He stays healthy too,
And plus they've got Will Howard, and I think that
Will Howard has the tensil to be our next quarterback
to say give him a chance, and he sounds like
Aaron's mentoring him that I want to think that they're

(19:45):
going to go probably nine or ten games again. I
think they're going to get into the playoffs. I think
they'll go more than one game though this year, honestly do.

Speaker 4 (19:54):
There's your optimism, But I'll tell you what stealing fans
y'all thought, y'all be more optimists, y'all on my side?

Speaker 2 (19:59):
All right, thank you for the calls.

Speaker 4 (20:00):

With the Grizzies. You talk about a team that was

make the progress, and it's just been been down ever since.

Speaker 2 (20:37):
See couple.

Speaker 4 (20:38):
Thank you, Martin Robin Kelvin on a Magic City Monday.

That was Martin Weiss?

Speaker 5 (21:02):
That my dog happening?

Speaker 7 (21:04):
Maybe?

Speaker 5 (21:04):
What up?

Speaker 2 (21:05):
He said? What up? I'm going to translate for he
said what up? Though?

Speaker 1 (21:08):
No, but he still said, but TJ said, the Lemon
Pepper parly, the first edition of it was pretty good, right, TJ?

Speaker 2 (21:16):
It was the best.

Speaker 5 (21:18):
It was the best.

Speaker 2 (21:19):
It was so much fun, no doubt about it. Not
as good. Well, Martin wind up doing the show with
the mast Okay, let's go here, TJ.

Speaker 1 (21:30):
Your guy Danny Dimes was a no show in Pittsburgh.

Speaker 2 (21:34):
Showed terrible performers. What what did you make of that?

Speaker 7 (21:38):
Uh?

Speaker 2 (21:38):
Six turner?

Speaker 1 (21:39):
But he fumbled three times, lost two of them and
through three interceptions.

Speaker 2 (21:44):
Uh, they applied pressure and he folded.

Speaker 7 (21:48):
I mean it's obvious it was.

Speaker 5 (21:49):
It was not a good performance. But I'm gonna say this.
You have six turnovers as a team, Pittsburgh had one
turnover as a team, and you lose by seven. There's
no moral victories. But the coach are for real. Daniel
Jones is gonna have to figure out when they're not
running the ball. Well, Jonathon Taylor's not gashing teams. He

(22:12):
can't be the liability.

Speaker 1 (22:14):
Well, but that's what he was in New York when
they didn't have wasn't running the ball.

Speaker 7 (22:19):
But he isn't.

Speaker 5 (22:20):
Come on, he wasn't this good though.

Speaker 2 (22:22):
He wasn't like he ain't that good, TJ.

Speaker 1 (22:25):
Look at the teams he's put up these numbers against
the two teams, the two good teams he played, he
lost both games, and both games, TJ, he hasn't beaten anybody.

Speaker 2 (22:36):
Come on, man.

Speaker 5 (22:38):
He lost to the Denver Broncos. You know how he
lost to the Denver Broncos. Right, you know how? You
know how that happened? Right now?

Speaker 2 (22:44):
How they lose?

Speaker 5 (22:45):
Tell me you remember when they lined up on the
center with the field goal and they missed the field goal,
then they got another try to kick it. You don't
remember that game.

Speaker 2 (22:54):
Okay, But The point is they lost, right.

Speaker 5 (22:58):
They did lose. I'm believer in the Coat because I
just just the National Football League. There's just no way
you are seventy two and you're a fraud. I believe
the coach im very good.

Speaker 1 (23:12):
When the Pittsburgh Steelers were nine and oh a few
years ago and it was the worst nine and o
team I'd ever seen, and then they got blown out
by the Browns in the postseason.

Speaker 2 (23:22):
Do you remember that year, TJ? The Steelers were that good?
That year? They were not good.

Speaker 5 (23:27):
I do remember that. But it's just some about these
Coats that they're for real. They're for real. Now are
they the best team in the AFC? I don't know,
but they will be in the playoffs and we gonna
find out.

Speaker 4 (23:38):
Yeah, you've pretty smich said a lot of what I
said with them, and Jonathan Taylor is obviously the key
for them, but they have to find a way to
still move the ball and still be consistent without him
because teams are gonna It's like the Eagles. Give them credit,
say Kwan Barkley didn't have a huge Super Bowl, they
still were able to do what they were able to do.
All right, I would have switched games a little bit
and go to where are you now? One of the
guys we've talked about a lot a little bit last year.

(24:00):
This year, Kayler Williams and the Bears. They squeak out
a win against the Bengals. Squeak out that's a great
win for them. The Bengal shouldn't be a great win night, right,
it is they get to win.

Speaker 2 (24:10):
Where are you with the National Are they? Are they good?
Are they?

Speaker 4 (24:14):
Are you happy with the progression of Tayler Williams and
Ben Johnson? The collap there.

Speaker 5 (24:19):
Caleb obviously is playing better. Ben Johnson has proven if
it don't work, it ain't Ben Johnson fault. It's gonna
fall on Caleb. But they played against probably the worst
defense ever in the history to lead. That's I'm just
the truth, okay.

Speaker 1 (24:34):
But they but they did what they had to do,
which is win and you end up the Bengals.

Speaker 7 (24:42):
Let's rewind.

Speaker 5 (24:43):
The Bengals gave up over five hundred yards against the
Jet team that could barely get a first down. Yeah, lord,
Yes the Bears won. Yes, the Bears won. But you're
going against probably the worst defense in a history the
National Football League. I don't know what's going on in

(25:04):
Cincinnati's the players, is it the coaching, is it the scheme?
But there's just no way they take the lead and
you just give it up. You've giving up over one
thousand yards of the last two games the Bears. Kudos to you,
great throw by Taylor Williams at the end of the game.

Speaker 2 (25:24):
But we saw we saw this last year.

Speaker 1 (25:27):
Last year Joe Burrow had nine touchdowns against the Ravens
and lost both games.

Speaker 2 (25:33):
So nothing's changed. What's changed, TJ.

Speaker 5 (25:37):
I mean, it's just a lot. That means, I mean
you've changed. The defense is worse than it was. Embarrassing,
it's worst.

Speaker 4 (25:45):
Are they already in cancun like when you play item like,
have they checked out?

Speaker 2 (25:49):
You've been in locker rooms? Good?

Speaker 5 (25:52):
They not? They not checked out because they're in every game.
It just I don't know what's going on, man, because
I've been in locker room and I've been on teams
where the offenses had to carry the defense.

Speaker 7 (26:03):
But not this bad.

Speaker 5 (26:05):
Like there's gonna be points where the defense picks you up.
Way the defense looks I can't imagine that happened one
game and I know that that's cold, But they are
bad historically.

Speaker 2 (26:20):
That what you make of the Packers?

Speaker 1 (26:22):
And everybody wanted to say, uh, you know, Love was
a leade quarterback now and then he turns in an
absolute stinker in a game at home against the Panthers.

Speaker 2 (26:35):
Did you see and I don't think the Panthers did.

Speaker 1 (26:39):
They throw for one hundred yards in that game, exactly
hundred and two yards and they lose that game at home?

Speaker 2 (26:45):
What'd you make of that?

Speaker 5 (26:47):
I was join the Packers. I was really high on
the Packers. When you lose to the Carolina Panthers, you're
no longer a Super Bowl continder of mine.

Speaker 2 (26:58):
Wow.

Speaker 3 (26:59):
Wow.

Speaker 5 (27:00):
And I'm gonna give you a point of reference the
week prior the Super Bowl contender? What did they do
to the Panthers? What did the Buffalo Bills do last
week to the Carolina Panthers? Put them in a place
to show everybody, we sup Bucal. When you are a
Super Bowl contender, when you play a team that shouldn't

(27:20):
be close to you, you put them in a place.
That's what the Bills did. I was shocked that not
only that they lost, they just couldn't move the ball.

Speaker 2 (27:30):
It was amazing, It really was. If you watch it.

Speaker 4 (27:33):
They've had a few of those this season, but Rob
and I have talked about a couple of them.

Speaker 1 (27:37):
We have one really bad intercept, not the one that
the guy can you imagine being the dB who dropping
an interception throw.

Speaker 2 (27:44):
Right to right and that's why they receiver they aren't
received right to them.

Speaker 1 (27:48):
And then there was another throw that was just up
for grabs in the middle of the field, triple coverage,
just like what was.

Speaker 5 (27:55):
That wishing and praying that somebody gonna come down with
it on your team. It just you really start to
figure out because when you look at the Packers on paper,
they don't have a weakness. They got your receiver's good
old line, good run games, good d line, good line
back in court, good secondaries. Like what is going on?

Speaker 2 (28:17):
Yeah, it's like they never come together at the same time. Yeah,
TJ real quick for me.

Speaker 4 (28:22):
One more Seahawks late game last night thirty eight fourteen Commanders.
Obviously was rough to see what happened to jayd and Daniels.
Rob and I will talk about that him being in
the game. That's the story for another day. But but
just specifically the Seahawks six and two. Sam Darnold looks fantastic,
four touchdowns, three hundred and thirty yards.

Speaker 2 (28:40):
Just say playoffs and it'll change and this just play.
That's all you gotta do. Are they a super Bowl
contender that we're ignoring?

Speaker 4 (28:47):
We're talking about this team, were talking about the Eagles,
talk about the Packers, might be talking about this team
that team. Are they the one that we're ignored in
the NFC talking about the Rams?

Speaker 5 (28:56):
If you are they being ignored? Yes they are. If
we had to say, okay, out of the NFC, who
is my super Bowl contenders in no order, I'm gonna
say the Eagles round Seahawks. Well, if I'm gonna go
in order, I would put those two at the top.
In the Seahawks right there, that would be my order

(29:17):
represented in the Seattle Seahawks are well coached, very well coached.
Mike McDonald is a great coach. And when you have
great coaching, you know your guys will always be prepared,
your guys will not be surprised by anything. If Sam
Donald can play like that, and I know the last

(29:39):
two games of last year, last game of the regular
season of the playoff game was terrible, But if he
can play like this, and it's you know you're not
gonna go perfect in the first half like he did.
But the Seahawks, man, they have a really really good team.

Speaker 2 (29:54):
All right.

Speaker 4 (29:54):
Well, shoot, we'll have to wait and see halfway through
the season or they do look great. Appreciated as always, TJS.

Speaker 5 (29:59):
He Before I go, man, I want to give my
condolens a day on Henley. Man. He lost his older brother. Yeah,
he got shot and killed out here in Los Angeles
on Halloween. Man, prayers to you and your family.

Speaker 4 (30:10):
Man, No doubt, man, he's a dion d on his
great kid Man too, dianas to say, appreciate you man,
Thank you so much.

Speaker 5 (30:17):
Brother, y'all keep up the great work as always, no doubt.

Speaker 2 (30:20):
All right, TJ. Hoos was out right there. Give them
a follow. Who's eighty four? All right?

Speaker 4 (30:24):
On the way, we got to talk about the World
Series and how the ratings if you looked at him,

Three to Nothing game right now, Cardinals moving the balls
we end the first quarter of Monday Night football, Dallas
Cowboys up three nothing. Will get you updated on that one.
It's the I Couple, Rob Parker, kelvin Washington on a
Magic City Monday.

Speaker 2 (32:27):
I thought it was Cardinals. My bad, Cardinals up three nothing.

Speaker 4 (32:30):
I'd say that first, my bat three nothing and they're
moving right now. There at the Cowboys thirty one yard line, there.

Speaker 2 (32:37):
Was a story about I don't know what was it?
USA Today? What was the story?

Speaker 1 (32:42):
Marvin Harrison's dad was talking about Marvion Harrison Drew see
a ESPN.

Speaker 2 (32:46):
Did you read that? Rob G?

Speaker 5 (32:48):
What was it?

Speaker 2 (32:49):
What happened?

Speaker 1 (32:49):
It was just a story about how his son is
being used based It was basically blaming the Cardinals that
his son's not.

Speaker 2 (32:57):
Oh well right, well.

Speaker 6 (32:58):
He tried to clarify his say, well, you know, it's
NFL offense, modern offense as a whole.

Speaker 2 (33:03):
I don't like it.

Speaker 6 (33:04):
But then he said, you can put up you quote me.
I don't like the Cardinals offense.

Speaker 1 (33:07):
Right, I'm just saying like, but in the story, Now,
rob G, did you read the whole story? Because I
think I did, but I might have missed it in
nowhere in there was the biggest drop that his son
had made and like he.

Speaker 2 (33:19):
Hadn't played that he has been Ohio State. Am I wrong?

Speaker 1 (33:24):
There was one wi he dropped like the easiest touchdown,
Like that wasn't even mentioned, like he hasn't played. I
was shocked that how do you write a story about
that and not that's like one of the biggest drop.

Speaker 4 (33:35):
But even yeah, just to add to that, not just
that drop, He's had a few plays and Day ran
around or missed some pass early in the season that
you're kind of like that, ain't the dude that was
catching and saying in Ohio State.

Speaker 2 (33:47):
I just thought that was a weird story.

Speaker 6 (33:50):
I really he had that game, but a month ago
it was on he was terrible the first after, nobody
was talking on me, sitting on the sideline like he's
gonna cry, and then he has this breakout in the
second half, but he was already so melancholy that he'd
have a touchdown. He can't just walk away like oh gosh, yeah,
I'm glad I caught that one, right, And so that
was like a microcosm of his NFL career, so fay

(34:11):
that I just it was.

Speaker 2 (34:12):
Just weird that there was nothing of that in that story.

Speaker 4 (34:15):
Yeah, he's he's left some to be desired considering how
great he is talent wise.

Speaker 2 (34:20):
I get it.

Speaker 1 (34:22):
They've got a brother now read in that story who's
in high school whatever it was supposed to be the
next wide receiver like they got on that.

Speaker 4 (34:28):
I guess he's gonna go to Ohio State too. All
they do is get the most insane receivers of the
last tenure. Then at LSU competing who has the best
receiving group. My gosh, real quick, Baseball, I'm gonna throw
this one to you because we've talked about this since
I started this show, but baseball has seen a resurgence
in the last few years, but especially these last couple

(34:49):
of years.

Speaker 2 (34:49):
And then, if you want to talk about what we
just witnessed with his World.

Speaker 4 (34:52):
Series Game seven average a combined twenty six million viewers.

Speaker 2 (34:58):
It's so crazy.

Speaker 1 (34:59):
That's a crazy twenty six It nearly doubled the NBA
plus eleven in Canada, because you remember them count just
don't even count the eleven million in Canada because they
they don't country.

Speaker 4 (35:11):
It's a different country, and you have to count that
because obviously there's a opposing team a hand base So
there's a that you said six sixth plus eleven, that's
crazy thirty six seven if you're gonna count that thirty
seven in that game seven, And I don't I want
to highlight bast baseball more so than like do the
whole NBA only had sixteen because to me, obviously the

(35:32):
NBA was Oklahoma City was a beat up Indiana. But
it was a game seven, a game, it was a
game seven. But this to me was the perfect piggyback robin.
You know this in business, you know this in sports,
you know this in movies and so many different things.
You got to take full advantage when you have an
opportunity in baseball postseason. Last year, you and I had
just started the show, and baseball postseason was lit last year.

Speaker 2 (35:54):
It was amazing. It was great.

Speaker 4 (35:55):
You had teams that came out of the blue. The
Tigers out of the blue, had had you know, the surge,
and you got the Yankees. You get the Yankees Dodgers
first time since eighty one mlbing. You and I talked
about it couldn't be happier. And how they followed that
up was a really good postseason again and then an
amazing World Series with the big team and another country
who hadn't won in thirty two years, and so star

(36:17):
players all over the place. I mean, this was just
a great follow up for MLB to me, Like, if
you're drawing it up, way to follow up get a
game seven?

Speaker 2 (36:25):
Well you also have right now, there's a ton of stars.

Speaker 1 (36:29):
And there was a stretch where baseball had a lot
of stars, right, but they all retired, you know, Derek
Jeter retired a rod and Barry Bonds like, they all retired, right,
so there's like an influx. You gotta wait and now
you look at and then when you add the international
we didn't even add what they watched in Japan. You
don't think you had the no country, whole country was awake.

(36:52):
I bet you're watching that and to see uh Yamamoto
and Sasakiani and all.

Speaker 2 (36:59):
That, you know what I mean, Like like it had
to be what are the numbers from Japan?

Speaker 4 (37:02):
I would love to that has to be crazy because
they almost averaging seven but seven series Game seven probably
with eleven. Yeah, so this this is a great way
to follow that up. If you're the MLB man, what
a wonderful postseason run again and you mentioned it starting

(37:22):
to elevate the stars. Stars are wanting to be more
personality driven a little bit more. I want to see
what's my man with the Manders like you talking about
Hi Roriguez, I want to see more of him than
highlighting him as well. But a great, great, great series,
great ratings as well for them. Game seven thirty plus
million
