Rob and Kelvin tell us why they have a hard time seeing Travis Hunter playing two-ways in the NFL next season, discuss whether Matthew Stafford has a legitimate Hall of Fame argument and tell us why Bill Belichick winning a national championship at North Carolina would be more impressive than Tom Brady winning a Super Bowl with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Plus, FOX Sports Radio Weekend host Martin Weiss gives you the information you need to make money betting on NFL games in this week’s edition of Weiss Advice.

The way tire buying a lot of stuff to still
get to. In this hour, we're gonna talk some more
about Bill Belichick and winning there at unc H would

(01:11):
be bigger than Brady winning. We'll do that, that's right.
Travis Hunter, can he play both ways in the NFL?

Speaker 4 (01:19):
You know?

Speaker 3 (01:19):
And the Wizard of Oz Dorothy sees the Scarecrow and
she's trying to figure out which way to go on
a yellow brick road, right, yeah, and the scarecrow goes
some people go this way, some people go that way.

Speaker 4 (01:36):
Then again some people go both ways.

Speaker 5 (01:39):
He was hitting us early with that whole That was
nineteen thirty nine. He was, what does that mean?

Speaker 6 (01:45):
Well, the irony is if you know, I forgot what's
her name again? Who played Dorothy Judy Garland. You know
Julie's like life. You know, they put out a documentary
about her life. You know, some irony in there, but yeah,
they snuck that in eight You go back to them
old movies and old sitcoms. They couldn't be blatant with
some things, but they definitely snuck in. So now they

(02:05):
were blating with the racism in a fun way like
they just would talk about it if you look at
the Best Family Jefferson's.

Speaker 3 (02:11):
Oh yeah, but that part of it, right, yeah, yeah,
the best part about the old movies. I'm talking about
the old movies, the black and white you know in
the fifties or whatever, is the women smacking each other
like you know, they used to smack the hell out
of each other.

Speaker 6 (02:26):
Yeah, there's one Christmas one going on right right now. Yeah,
there was a Christmas one going around where like a lady.
I think, first of all, it was supposed to be
her mom, but they looked the same age, and she
smacked the mess.

Speaker 7 (02:34):
Out of it.

Speaker 6 (02:35):
It was like happy Christmas mom. It was slapping each
other all around. Back back in the day, man, them
beauty salons was going crazy with oh yeah, girl, what
you say?

Speaker 5 (02:44):
Slap?

Speaker 4 (02:45):
It was. It was slaps all over, pimp slaps everything.

Speaker 5 (02:47):
Everybody's getting slap slap.

Speaker 6 (02:49):
Matter of fact, slapping in the like twenties, thirties, forty fifties,
sixteen seventies, slapping was just a way hype, right. It
was people got everybody was getting slap, men, men, women,
everybody slap.

Speaker 5 (03:00):
I'm like, God, you.

Speaker 4 (03:01):
Don't slap nobody nowadays. Man, you don't know what people
going to do if you what.

Speaker 5 (03:06):
Do you mean?

Speaker 6 (03:06):
We saw Will Smith slapped Chris Rott on National TV,
and I was the I was idding to this day
remember in real time, thinking like it had to have
been staged because my brain can't cook, couldn'tte that the
dual prong collected dude would do that to that dude
on live TV, not like at a party they've over

(03:27):
hammered dry cook. I can see that so my brain
was like, no, that he has to be acting. This
is a sketch or something crazy.

Speaker 3 (03:32):
All right, you know what time it is? Now it's
time for Weiss's advice. Ice with Morton.

Speaker 2 (03:38):
Want we all need a little advice around, so why
not take it from a true professional?

Speaker 8 (03:46):
This guy.

Speaker 2 (03:48):
Here's advice.

Speaker 5 (03:53):
What's up?

Speaker 2 (03:53):
Bro?

Speaker 9 (03:55):
What's going on? Guys? What's up? What's up? Happy holidays?

Speaker 4 (04:01):
That's that's a slapfest.

Speaker 5 (04:03):
That's right, Yeah, you better duck.

Speaker 8 (04:07):
All right, it is Wie's advice, the information you need
to make money been NFL games this weekend. Martin Weiss
guarantees these picks so much so that he will give
you the keys to his new car if you don't
go for for four on these picks.

Speaker 7 (04:21):
A new car car.

Speaker 4 (04:23):
Okay, all right, here we go.

Speaker 8 (04:24):
Game number one, Tonight's action Thursday Night Rams against the Niners.
Martin says, there ain't no defense in this game. Take
the over forty eight Martin Tallas.

Speaker 9 (04:33):
Why I'm taking over? First of all, we know that
Saran Francisco can score. We saw that last week. Even
if they don't have all the offensive weapons. That very
defense isn't terrible and just got pounded. Uh and so
like I think Safferson's gonna have a score Ton Fuss two,
Ron Parker, your boy Pat Stadford has gone four games,

(04:54):
ten touchdowns, no interceptions. The number one thing that kills
under turnovers short fields. I think Stafford turns the ball
over and this game goes over forty eight.

Speaker 5 (05:10):
Hmm.

Speaker 6 (05:11):
This is a tough one because I feel a lot
of what you're saying, Martin. But on the flip side,
being a divisional game, being a game with the Rams
are really fighting for, both teams fight for the playoff, right,
I feel like maybe they'll be a little bit more defensive.
I'm gonna have to agree because I think right now,
Matthew Stafford's throwing the ball well Pukan, the cool is
going crazy.

Speaker 5 (05:28):
So I'm gonna say it's.

Speaker 6 (05:29):
Gonna be somewhere in the upper twenties, maybe even one
team with a low thirty score.

Speaker 3 (05:34):
I'm gonna go the over as well. Stafford gets back
to mid season form. Two picks one, a pick six,
and it's the over.

Speaker 8 (05:44):
It's always the most extreme example, right, Oh yeah, and
it's not like, hey, the defense is soft up.

Speaker 5 (05:49):
The middle since we're going.

Speaker 10 (05:53):
Full jamis Winston tonight.

Speaker 5 (05:56):
Delivered me for the pick sixes.

Speaker 4 (05:59):
Gee, I'm years have.

Speaker 10 (06:00):
You worked with me forever and a day? I know
I get it all right?

Speaker 8 (06:03):
Here we go Game number two, Wives Advice Martin Wise
Fox Ward Radio weekend host Martin says, in this game again,
this is a rare instance where Carolina is a favorite,
I believe for the first time in two years, two
and a half points favorites at home against the Cowboys,
and Martin's like, you know what, I love me some
and Bryce Young give me Carolina minus two and a half.

Speaker 10 (06:21):
Martin explain yourself, Well, Rob, do you know what they say?

Speaker 9 (06:25):
Anytime you can lay boyds with Bryce Young, you gotta
take it. Actually, no one ever has said that before, ever,
especially in the last two years, because you evenna have
even had the chance to lay boys with Bryce Young
in the last two years. Really, the Cowboys are done,
d you and done. When Da Mario and Overshawan walked off,
these all people crying in the last game they should

(06:47):
have won the last game that was their last.

Speaker 6 (06:50):
Dad.

Speaker 9 (06:51):
This Cowboys team is not only gonna lose on Sunday,
They're gonna lose the rest of their games going forward.
And that's how Mike McCarthy ends up getting fired just
five to twelve, and it's starting someday. Give me the
Panthers by a field goal.

Speaker 5 (07:06):
Yeah.

Speaker 6 (07:07):
Bryce Young has played pretty dog on well the last
few games, and they've been competitive in all of their games,
even though there's been some losses. They've been right there
with some of the best teams in the NFL. So,
I mean, if you see anything, you see the two
teams going opposite ways. Trajectory going up for the Panthers.
So give me the Panthers in this one. For Bryce
Young to say, give your boy a chance. I can

(07:27):
play in this league, y'all.

Speaker 4 (07:29):
I take an egg Fool Young over Bryce Young. I'm
not there.

Speaker 3 (07:33):
I know he has played better, but I don't believe.
I think the Cowboys bounce back. They should have won
that game. That was a bad play there to lose
a football game, But I'm not. I'm sorry the Carolina Panthers.
They ever playing good rop okay, but they haven't been winning.
They played good. I agree with you. I still think Martin,

(07:54):
the Cowboys win by three. It's the other way around,
but the Cowboys win all right. Game number three Ice
advice Martin Wise giving you information you need to make money.
Ben on the NFL again. If you go four for
four on this one, or if you don't go four
for four, you're getting the keys to the new youth.

Speaker 10 (08:09):
Car he just bought. Allegedly this true story. He told me,
he texted me earlier. Game number three.

Speaker 4 (08:15):
So the new car from the other one you just had,
h this is a different car.

Speaker 8 (08:20):
I mean, well, you got as much money as Martin Weiss.
I don't know how many cars he's buying.

Speaker 5 (08:23):
Got eight jobs, you know.

Speaker 9 (08:24):
So listen, hey, John my man used car. I'm hanging
on by a threat.

Speaker 8 (08:31):
Over here we go Game number three, No love for
Jordan Love, because Martin says, give me Seattle plus four
and a half against Green Bay.

Speaker 10 (08:39):
Martin, why are you in on Gino Smith?

Speaker 9 (08:43):
Why am I in on Gino Smith? I asked you,
is Rob g Why is the Packers not in on
Jordan Love? That's a bigger question that America needs to answer.
That's a bigger question right there, because you know what
in the game we'll talk about just at the moment,
A J. Brown told Jalen told the Eagles offense to
hold the Eagles media or hold whoever according to him,

(09:04):
they need to work on passing. Well, if you gotwin
looked and Jalen hurts his numbers in the last three games,
and you look at Jordan Love's numbers in the last
three games in terms of attempt at completion, you'll find
something strikingly similar. It's the numbers. They're taking the ball
out of Jordan Love's hands. I noticed it last week
when Josh Jacobs had three rushing touchdown. All right, why

(09:27):
does that matter for this week?

Speaker 5 (09:28):
Though?

Speaker 9 (09:28):
Seattles defense since the by has been much improved as
they plucked Mike McDonald from Baltimore to Seattle. Who's got
that team bench figured out. They let some veterans go,
and now that hole that that whole back eleven is
singing in a different way. They're gonna stop the run
against the Packers. Jordan Love turns the ball over and
the Seahawks covered the four and a half.

Speaker 4 (09:50):
Well, you said you don't know why they're taking the
ball out of his hand. You just answered it.

Speaker 3 (09:54):
He turns the ball over a lot. He throws a
lot of interceptions, and I think that's the reason. But
us still think the Packers have had a good season.
They need to win big time. I know Seattle's coming
off a big win. I think they have a letdown
and green Bay gets what it needs to stay in
the mix. So I got green Bay winning this game.

Speaker 5 (10:15):
Yeah, give me the Seahawks.

Speaker 6 (10:16):
Man. They have been playing some good football the last
few weeks and again they're trying to continue to go
ahead and win this division. I think it'll be a
competitive one. I do think Jordan love perform is better
than than he has been. But I just think somehow
the Seahawks ain't find a way.

Speaker 8 (10:30):
To get go ahead and get this w all right,
last one, Wie's advice. Everyone's talking about the Philadelphia Eagles.
AJ Brown hates Jalen hurts Deavonte Smith hats Jalen hurts.

Speaker 4 (10:40):
J Her like they're on the eight game, losing right right.

Speaker 10 (10:43):
They got vibes, the worst vibes this side of the
New York Jets.

Speaker 8 (10:46):
It feels like Eagles, and yet they are five and
a half point home favorites against the Pittsburgh Steelers, and
Marin's like, I don't like that.

Speaker 10 (10:55):
WHOA give me Pittsburgh plus the five and a half?

Speaker 9 (10:57):
Martin tell's why I'm taking it plus five and a
half First of all, just on a gambling tip, anything
from like five to five and a half is always
just an odd spot to be in. Like just last week,
the Saints were five point favorites over the Giant Giants
nearly won that game. Shout us in the overtime. Here,
you got a bunch of guys have already outlined the

(11:18):
worst vibe that you ever possibly could imagine. But this
is the reason why the bods are so bad, is
what's important. It's not because A. J. Brown is speaking
out against the offense and so on and so forth.
It's because there's nobody in that locker room. There's nobody
employed by that team that's going to be able to
straighten this out. We saw it last year. This roster

(11:41):
is impeccably built. The coaching staff is just leaves much
to be desired. Mike Tomlin has an underdog. If you
listen to this segment, you know it. It's an investment strategy.
At this point, you can't knock it and rap Parker,
your boy Russell Wilson as an underdog twenty seven to
nine and one.

Speaker 4 (11:58):
All I know is a bet.

Speaker 3 (12:00):
Roethlisberger and all these other people were telling and Kelvin Washington, Uh,
don't put him in.

Speaker 4 (12:05):
Don't put him in.

Speaker 9 (12:07):
Hey, hand up. Martin White did too.

Speaker 3 (12:10):
Yeah, all right, you too, you too, all you guys,
Rob g who was out front for Russy.

Speaker 9 (12:16):
Hey on your visitory lab. It's not like Justin Steels
was up there two and four rights.

Speaker 6 (12:24):
That's what he's not selling, Martin. He's not telling nobody,
said Russell Wilson. Yeah, what his numbers? Good enough?

Speaker 5 (12:30):
Numbers weren't good at two. Got the numbers weren't good enough.
That's what we were saying.

Speaker 9 (12:35):
I'm trying to get somebody some more numbers in their
bank account. So just bear with me for one more moment, please,
because all of that, what you just talked about, that
you can switch from Justin Fields to Russell Wilson and
all of that and still have a coh. He's gonna
goil locker room speak to one thing, coaching. Steelers had
a coaching matchup by a country mile here, Steelers plus
five and a half.

Speaker 6 (12:57):
Yeah, I'm with I went to Steelers too, because I
think all this AJ Brown talking, all that that stuff
has to matter because now one way or the other,
maybe you overly go out of your way and start
trying to focus on him and take away from Saquan,
which has been what's worked. Or again, there's just some
dysfunction and they just don't look good connecting on offense,
and they don't score in the first quarter at all

(13:18):
this season. They have struggles with that. I feel like
Mike Tomlin and this Pittsburgh team comes up with a
great defensive strategy for sa Quon. He's still gonna get
a few numbers, that's what he does. But the Steelers
win this one, and I think it's I think Eagles
have a bad one.

Speaker 4 (13:33):
I like the Eagles in this one.

Speaker 1 (13:35):
I do.

Speaker 3 (13:36):
I think that they win by a touchdown. They cover
that spread that they cover, and they get it together.
They've been playing well. Once you get out on the field,
just do what you're supposed to and they get an
early touchdown and they roll the rest of the way
and they win by seven. And now we can stop
talking about the receivers not getting the ball. This will

(13:58):
be the end of it. With a nice performance by
Jalen Hurts and the offense.

Speaker 4 (14:02):
How's that see. I am a pleasant person. I am positive.
I'm not always negative.

Speaker 9 (14:11):
I was.

Speaker 10 (14:15):
Rob only likes Russell Wilson and Jalen Hurts because they're
light skined.

Speaker 7 (14:18):
Is that what it is?

Speaker 10 (14:20):
You told me I didn't like black quarter but they're
light skin so it's a little different different.

Speaker 5 (14:25):
I have to do some math, no, because you know
I'll give it you like Lamaramar.

Speaker 4 (14:29):
I'm a big lamar guy. Come on, Rob.

Speaker 6 (14:34):
The roorst part about it is gonna be we're about five, six,
seven years away from the whole league being all black quarterbacks.

Speaker 5 (14:40):
Rob gonna have a fit. He gonna know.

Speaker 10 (14:45):
Boxingn't being enigma. You're not gonna know what to vote
for anymore.

Speaker 9 (14:49):
That's that's what that.

Speaker 10 (14:51):
Yeah, we'll love it.

Speaker 4 (14:52):
That's because that'll be my quarterback. I'll probably be retired.

Speaker 6 (14:55):
But I was gonna say, all right around there, it
might it might sink up with retire I sink.

Speaker 5 (14:59):
Up, Well you might me.

Speaker 4 (15:00):
Okay, all right, guys, all right, Martin, that's why appreciate it.

Speaker 5 (15:08):
All right.

Speaker 6 (15:09):
Yeah, we got some Travis Hunter conversation coming up too.
Man obviously Heisman candidate Ben it's one of the star
players of college football.

Speaker 5 (15:18):
But can he play both ways in the league.

Speaker 10 (15:21):
Rob, We'll talk.

Speaker 4 (15:22):
Some people go this way, some people go that way.
Then again some people do go both ways.

Speaker 5 (15:28):
Back in the thirties, dropping them jokes.

Speaker 6 (16:20):
There's a Travis Hunter who has been spectacular and fun
to watch and just kind of lived up to the hype.
I remember hearing about him, you know, maybe three years ago,
and what he was gonna be and was that at
Jackson State, which coach Prime goes to Colorado. He's been
that to the patune of now he is a Heisman finalist,
but recently on the Pivot, he had a chance to
talk about his future in the NFL and what he

(16:41):
wants to do and possibly do the same thing he's
been doing in college.

Speaker 5 (16:46):
Play both sides of the ball. Here's what he had
to say.

Speaker 11 (16:48):
What people want to get you into the building, and
they're gonna ask what if we only wanted you to
play one position?

Speaker 7 (16:56):
What would be and I don't care what position it is.
What would be your answer to that? Travis? We want
to draft you, we want to draft you.

Speaker 11 (17:02):
Number one overall, but we don't feel it's fair to
you to make you play both sides of the football.

Speaker 7 (17:09):
What would you tell that general manager? Call coach Ryan,
That's what I say. Call Coach Ran. He'll let you
know the answer.

Speaker 10 (17:20):
They know how I feel.

Speaker 7 (17:21):
I want to play both sides, and it's nothing gonna
change my mind.

Speaker 6 (17:23):
You can tell me all day now you can't play
both sides of the ball.

Speaker 7 (17:26):
I'm gonna keep telling you, yes I can. That's what
I want to do.

Speaker 6 (17:29):
And you have not seen me not play both sides
of the ball since you've been watching me, so why
not do it? Now?

Speaker 3 (17:36):
Good sounds no, just it sounds good. And I'm not
mad at him for wanting. And who knows, maybe somebody
gives in or whatever. We never saw a show, hey,
where anybody was willing to do that, but show hey,
remember played in Japan and did that.

Speaker 4 (17:52):
So there was a track.

Speaker 3 (17:53):
Record and they looked at him and said, and you know,
this guy was a tremendous picture and hit her and
they were willing to try it. Football is a different sport.
I just can't see somebody playing both and being effective
in both possession, you know what I mean.

Speaker 6 (18:15):
It's first of all, let me let me tell you Somethingron.
The answer is no, you can't. And it's not that
you literally can't, as in he doesn't have the skill set.
It's that, no, you cannot as fighting. I can't believe
Coach Prian won't tell him no, not that we won't
have a few plays for you here and there, and
we're gonna do some bubble screens on the offensive end,
because's probably gonna play receiver mostly that's what most gms,

(18:36):
and you know, anonymous exact sting. That's what makes it
makes more sense as far as based on his speed,
based on his build, his body frame, he'll play receiver.
Got a you know, he's got a bunch of what
twelve touchdown catcher I think this year maybe fourteen twelve
hundred yards. He's been a really good receiver adging like
twelve yards of catch, so he's gonna be a receiver.
Maybe they'll put him in that nickel. Maybe they'll put

(18:58):
him in on a special player. We're like, okay, maybe
because of his size as a dB, it makes sense
for him to guard this player, But don't do it.

Speaker 7 (19:06):
Why.

Speaker 6 (19:07):
I know it seems fun and maybe you do it
the first year because that'll get you, you know, more notoriety,
more endorsements, and'll.

Speaker 4 (19:13):
Because nobody, well, nobody's done it right and cool long time.

Speaker 6 (19:17):
If I'm drafting him, I give him a shot to
do it more than most, more than Dion, more than
Charles Woodson, you know, more than a Champ Bailey who
they thought would do it at times, more than maybe
a Darryl Green who they thought might do it. But
I'm not giving it to you in the way you
think you're gonna get it. Most DBS can't catch right well,
he would be the one one of the few exceptions
to that.

Speaker 5 (19:37):
But it's not worth it physically.

Speaker 6 (19:39):
You and I talk about it weekend week How brutal
this sport is you taking eighty ninety snaps on both
sides of the ball, small slender frame getting to hit
DB's coming and lay you out. Safeties linebackers coming to
lay you out. Then you gotta run around and cover them.
You gotta try to tackle Dereck Henry running at you.
It doesn't make any sense. So I'm okay within the

(20:02):
first year doing it. Maybe if he does he signs
to Nike, we can do you know, we'll do it,
just the whole campaign of it all. I have him
do it a little bit or that was fun, novelty
for a year. Okay, that was cute. That's it because
you need to lock down, focus on what you do again.
We'll have you returned some punts.

Speaker 5 (20:18):
Here and there, just like Deon did his role model,
his fatherly figure in his life.

Speaker 6 (20:22):
Well, have you play some Like I said, special team.
Maybe it's fourth and twenty one for the opposing team.
We want a bunch of dv's out there. Yeh, go
out there, go knock down a pass. But the idea
of you lining up regularly on both sides doesn't make
sense physically, which ultimately means economically because you're trying to
play as long as you can and as effective as
you can so you can get paid.

Speaker 5 (20:42):
So do it a little bit, have some fun with
in the beginning.

Speaker 6 (20:46):
Then bro, we gotta lock you in as a receiver
or dB and move forward, which likely is gonna be
probably a slot receiver.

Speaker 4 (20:53):
Yeah, I'm with you. I just I can't. I can't
wrap my head around the idea.

Speaker 3 (20:59):
I get it. Try to do something that used to
be done in the old days, all right, athletes say
that that was common, but as time is going on,
a lot has changed.

Speaker 4 (21:10):
Uh, and the it's just it's just a different game.
And I don't think that.

Speaker 3 (21:16):
While it worked in college, it will be very difficult
and I think it could shorten his career.

Speaker 5 (21:23):
That's why do you want to do that?

Speaker 4 (21:25):
Why would you want to do that?

Speaker 6 (21:26):
And he's in college and you know this, you've been
covering sports. He's the best of the best of the best. Meaning, man,
you playing with dudes who are gonna be doing they
gonna be producing like rob G. They're gonna be on
air like using see how you.

Speaker 5 (21:39):
Do you, rob G. No, I'm saying they're gonna be
doing other jobs.

Speaker 6 (21:42):
They're gonna be They're gonna be sales, insurance, they're gonna
be talking on the radio, whatever.

Speaker 5 (21:46):
They ain't going pro, they ain't going.

Speaker 4 (21:48):
To the So you're calling them fodder. They will just
be dire, just fodder.

Speaker 5 (21:52):
For see how you're doing. What I'm trying to say,
is it gonna follow?

Speaker 4 (21:56):
He called you fodder. He called you and that's able
body producer.

Speaker 6 (22:04):
He took you off to Alex give him the goat sound,
you go to it. No, the point is they're gonna
be doing other things and he's better than them. You
about to get to the NFL, where everybody was the
man in high school and most of them were the
man in college, and it's a bunch of big grown
pros and it's a whole different thing. And going up
against MEYU, that's a whole different ball game. So we'll

(22:25):
see how it all works out. But I get his ambition,
but man, prolong your career, brother, Why take those chances?

Speaker 2 (22:32):
Fox Sports Radio has the best sports talk lineup in
the nation. Catch all of our shows at Foxsports Radio
dot com and within the iHeartRadio app search FSR to

Speaker 3 (22:44):
Here's something else, real quick. In front of mine, Andre,
who was a Lion season ticket holder forever. He dipped
out last year because they raised the ticket price.

Speaker 10 (22:53):
Guess what they did again, raise the ticket price.

Speaker 3 (22:56):
Another thirty percent. Wow, the long suffering fan. And now
they're good and now they're sticking it to the fans.

Speaker 4 (23:03):
How about that.

Speaker 12 (23:04):
I feel like if you had season seats for X
amount of years, you should be fathered.

Speaker 6 (23:08):
In sounds about NFL an NFL game and looked at
the parking price.

Speaker 4 (23:15):
It's ridiculous.

Speaker 7 (23:16):
It's ridiculous, it really is.

Speaker 4 (23:17):
And they don't want people to go. I don't think
that they're still going.

Speaker 7 (23:22):
That's what's crazy.

Speaker 10 (23:22):
It's like Disneyland people today.

Speaker 5 (23:25):
You took that's a great point. It is that you literally,
I say this all the time.

Speaker 6 (23:29):
Disneyland and football NFL games are turning into a rich
people thing, like all right, well we can go get
to this game. It costs you like a thousand dollars
to go for a family for between the four tickets,
the parking, the food, the all of it.

Speaker 5 (23:43):
It's in it's ridiculous.

Speaker 3 (23:46):
I went to a Laker game a couple of years ago,
my brother and two nephews, and you know, they came
to town. They had never been to a Laker game
or whatever. I dropped two thousand dollars on four tickets.
Oh yeah, two thousand.

Speaker 5 (23:59):
It's crazy.

Speaker 7 (24:00):
It's crazy.

Speaker 5 (24:00):
It's just sports is getting great.

Speaker 6 (24:02):
Disneyland another one where like your entire year, like, all right,
we're going to go on a family trip, but instead
we're gonna go to an NFL game. We're gonna go
on to a family trip. We're gonna have to go
to Disney. Like it's just gotten crazy, man, And yet
somehow we're still doing it. Be the consumer spending it.

Speaker 10 (24:16):
So it's like Disney raises prices. I'm still there, Like.

Speaker 7 (24:19):
What am I?

Speaker 5 (24:19):
Oh yeah, you're all. You're one of those and.

Speaker 12 (24:22):
One of those Lakers for it. Lebron James not expected
to play tomorrow against timber Was because of his foot injury.

Speaker 10 (24:27):
Right now that it is on a sabbatic I think
it's a little bit of both.

Speaker 12 (24:30):
Actually, in the NBA right now, the Celtics are beating
the Pistons at halftime fifty nine to forty four late
in the second quarter, it's the Raptors on top of
the hea.

Speaker 10 (24:38):
You were talking Tomack about the Raptors forty three thirty nine.

Speaker 12 (24:41):
And the Kings are beating the Pelicans late in the
first quarter twenty six to twenty two. Quick on the ice,
the Maple Leaves are beating the Ducks three to two
of five minutes ago in the second period. Penguins up
on the Canadians three to two, also five minutes to
go in the second period.

Speaker 4 (24:53):
And also, did you guys see that new Mets.

Speaker 12 (24:56):
Outfielder Juan Soto to reporters he hasn't spoken with any
members of his former team, the Yankees, since he signed
with the Mets.

Speaker 5 (25:04):
It doesn't surprise me because remember, I.

Speaker 4 (25:06):
Mean, what is he gonna say. Once you decide that
you're vaulting, you to call up and rub it in
their face.

Speaker 10 (25:13):
It's rubbing in their It was only there a year, and.

Speaker 3 (25:16):
I'm not trying to be cold. It's not like he
had some you know, eight year bond with people, you
know what I mean, And he left.

Speaker 4 (25:24):
He was there for a year. That's all I'm you.

Speaker 12 (25:26):
Feel like in baseball, though you spent so much more
time with these guys, yea.

Speaker 6 (25:31):
Nazi, I will say this you, you, me, maybe even
Rob other people like we forget they understand it's a
cold business.

Speaker 5 (25:40):
Yeah, a lot of time. We forget that part because
we are the fans were like, now you guys were fans,
you know the team and team. They're like, hey, man,
he came here one year. We knew he was.

Speaker 6 (25:47):
We knew he only had one year left on his deal. Yea,
And they kind of know what's up. And I knew
in the World series. Remember I told you when he
showed up with no Yankee apparelol and he had a
hat that was just the man Jack.

Speaker 5 (26:00):
He was like, Hey, I ain't a Yankee right now,
I am Awan Soto. Who wants your boy?

Speaker 6 (26:05):
All I know?

Speaker 3 (26:06):
All I know is Rob, g Alex Andar are still
waiting for a call from Chris Bussard.

Speaker 4 (26:11):
That's all I'm saying.

Speaker 10 (26:12):
Oh I'm sorry.

Speaker 6 (26:13):
Yeah that now he put in some years, you would
think he could get that call. Ain't y'all going to
eat soon?

Speaker 4 (26:18):
No, we're gonna have a breakfast in the morning. I'm
just just talking.

Speaker 5 (26:21):
Yeah, I know, but yeah, he one year Manzi, Yeah,
he ain't doing that.

Speaker 6 (26:25):
Shine sign All right, Monzi, thank you, Thank you, Monci
coming to you lofinsirack dot com Studios. Hey real quick
by the way, eight seven seven ninety nine on Fox
eight seven seven ninety nine on Fox. You want to
jump in on the Travis Hunter uh won his desire
to play both sides of the field, which it sounds cute.

Speaker 5 (26:44):
I get it, But man, I ain't nobody letting you
do that in the NFL.

Speaker 9 (26:47):
No.

Speaker 5 (26:47):
I don't even think a team rob would let him
Like that's you.

Speaker 6 (26:52):
We have too much invested in you for you to
go run around trying to tackle Dereck Henry and Sa
Kwan running you over and you know he's playing.

Speaker 5 (26:58):
That's too many plays your body.

Speaker 4 (27:00):
I'd be surprised if somebody's open to it. I would be,
I really would be.

Speaker 3 (27:05):
It would be something to see and how long it
could last or whatever. But I'm with you, I do
not think that's going to.

Speaker 10 (27:12):
Be the case.

Speaker 5 (27:12):
And if he gets what if he gets, I'm shocked.

Speaker 6 (27:15):
His agent like I could get the building up of
the hype because, like I said, I just the way
my brain works, I can see the Nike campaign for it.

Speaker 5 (27:22):
You know what I mean? You do some o.

Speaker 6 (27:24):
He's on both sides of the ball, and I see
the build up of it, for the hype of it.
But then in actuality, we give you a few plays
here and there, we do this here and there, and
that's it because again it just doesn't make sense for
the longevity of his career and the physicality of the game.

Speaker 5 (27:38):
So eight seven seven ninety nine on Fox, if you
want to get in on that.

Speaker 6 (27:41):
What's the is the score still is the three to
three she was saying in the Sun Thursday night game.
There three zero three zero sorry three So.

Speaker 8 (27:49):
You know the highlight of this game so far though,
and we gave Rob Parker a lot of grief and
wife's advice. Matthew Stafford has already had two interceptions that
were dropped in the first the game.

Speaker 3 (28:01):
Hallo too though he might not throw you no more yo,
see Rob g thank you, thank for validating me.

Speaker 4 (28:09):
But that's Matthew staff hit.

Speaker 10 (28:10):
The defenders in the hands both times.

Speaker 5 (28:12):
Both I believe it receivers.

Speaker 4 (28:16):
That's why, that's why they're not receivers.

Speaker 6 (28:18):
That's exactly so at the end of the game, if
he throws three touchdowns no interceptions, nobody remember that.

Speaker 5 (28:24):
And you know.

Speaker 3 (28:25):
I remember though, Rob g was like soon he saw
the first and what you say to yourself there it is.

Speaker 8 (28:30):
I was like, oh my god, Rob's right. That's the
worst thing that could happen. When Rob's right about a
prediction like that. We'll never hear the end of it.

Speaker 5 (28:38):
Oh, we ain't never.

Speaker 6 (28:39):
That's the rest of the show right there, the whole
rest of hour. We can specifically be have to talk about.
It could be golf we got to talk about, and
it is hitting the.

Speaker 5 (28:46):
Balls like Matthew Stafford's thought up the wrong way. That's right,
Matthew Stin.

Speaker 6 (28:53):
By the way, did you always you know what's funny
you always get on Matthew Stafford. You call him through
Statford to all that stat path for stat Pafford whatever whatever.

Speaker 4 (29:04):
Awesome that's an awesome nickname. Stat Path.

Speaker 6 (29:06):
I'll give you either the lote better than that stat
stat Patford. No, but it's gonna be interesting when he's
said and done, because is he a Hall of Famer
like he's on that No, No, hear me out. He's
gonna have amazing stats. Right, We're all gonna know that,
Like his stats are gonna be amazing. He passed the
eyeball test people argue every time we watch them, all

(29:28):
the color analysts, they they just, oh, my gosh, he's
the greatest pass of his arm, his ability.

Speaker 5 (29:34):
His talent is talent, which it is. It's amazing.

Speaker 6 (29:36):
So he's got the talent, He's gonna have the numbers.
He has a Super Bowl ring. I mean, he's gonna
be right out there.

Speaker 3 (29:43):
With like everybody with a Super Bowl isn't It isn't
in the Hall of Fame, right, But I'm saying, who
have numbers like that?

Speaker 4 (29:52):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (29:52):
But I also think that during those numbers are pretty
empty calories a lot of them. They didn't win any
playoff games during that in Detroit, they were pretty bad.

Speaker 4 (30:02):
He piled up some numbers. The super Bowl helps, it does.

Speaker 3 (30:06):
I'm not saying it doesn't help, But I think people
were trying to make the case after he won the
Super Bowl. Remember, the next year wasn't good and Nanny
didn't play that well, and then that stuff kind of
died down after that.

Speaker 4 (30:19):
But there was that who's the Lions quarterback?

Speaker 9 (30:22):
Then?

Speaker 3 (30:24):
Alasky was making that case after he won the Super Bowl.

Speaker 4 (30:28):
But you haven't heard that since it was right after
You know what, I mean, I.

Speaker 5 (30:32):
Mean, I think he's in the middle of it.

Speaker 6 (30:33):
That playoff push last year help and he had a great,
you know, really good game against the line.

Speaker 5 (30:37):
They just didn't win.

Speaker 6 (30:38):
He gets another playoff push this year, I think it'll
rev back up that conversation.

Speaker 5 (30:43):
It'll be interesting.

Speaker 6 (30:44):
But he's one of those people on the list of
people that I go and it's crazy about how just
certain games can determine and make your career. I think
most people would say he's a better quarterback than Eli,
but Eli's and so it's one of those went into
Super Bowl's helps because just pure town.

Speaker 3 (31:00):
Wise, Stafford wasn't the MVP either of that Super Bowl.
He had two interceptions in that Super Bowl.

Speaker 13 (31:05):
I'm saying, I'm just tell you this matter because Tom
he won, but he didn't play that well in that game.

Speaker 6 (31:12):
Yeah, it's gonna be one. He's just saying he's gonna
be you. I can see people trying to make a
case orm not make a case.

Speaker 4 (31:17):
I'm not saying that they won't make a case for him.
I'm just saying I don't think he is at this point.

Speaker 6 (31:21):
If he if he gets I don't even think he
has to win. If he gets to a Super Bowl.
I think he's gonna probably cement himself in there if
he gets to him. We'll see, all right, Bill Belichick,
we know he's at UNC, but if him winning there
bigger than Brady winning in Tampa, we'll tell you.

Speaker 5 (31:38):

Speaker 5 (32:04):

sensual for back in the day. Rob, You know what
I mean. It's this is a little okay, I see
what's going down.

Speaker 4 (32:14):
Yeah. Back and then they needed petroleum jelly.

Speaker 5 (32:16):
I think, hey, whatever work to get the job.

Speaker 7 (32:18):

stepped away during the break though.

Speaker 10 (32:42):
Yeah, I couldn't really convey that to you beforehand.

Speaker 4 (32:45):
You ain't pulling back on the show, Rob, Rob Joe.

Speaker 10 (32:49):
Rob can do it at the top of the show.
I can do it hour minutes in what.

Speaker 4 (32:54):
Because I told the lad job put my video on.

Speaker 10 (32:56):
That's right?

Speaker 5 (32:57):
Yeah, what is zoom man?

Speaker 6 (32:59):
And then the first, by the way, the first thing
I see in the zoom I barely see you. I
see a massive bowl of soup and a spoon in
my face, Like all right, most of the camera. Ro,
I'm going to tell you that I'm gonna call you
out about your little lobster biscuit in my face.

Speaker 4 (33:12):

Speaker 5 (33:32):
Speaking up, rob Gie, you go ahead.

Speaker 6 (33:33):
Some sound about the idea that Bill Belichick winning at
North Carolina will be greater than Brad Tom Brady winning
at Tampa. This is from a former tight end what's
his name again, Jermaine Wiggins on the radio show in Boston.

Speaker 5 (33:50):
Take a listen.

Speaker 14 (33:52):
I think that if Bill's able to win in college,
it's hotter to do that than win when Brady won
a Tampa because remember when Brady we went to Tampa.

Speaker 5 (34:01):
Brady, he went to a loaded team, just very loaded.

Speaker 14 (34:04):
The Bucks finished the twenty seven and nine seven and nine,
their defense started to turn the corner. You had arguably
one of at that point in time top five wide
receivers in the game, and Mike Evans Chris Godwin was
probably in some people's mind a top ten, top twelve guy.
If Bill wins and Natty, that's better. That's horder to

(34:26):
do because you go to the right team. If you
are a great player like Brady is. And we're not
taking nothing away from Brady, but you're a great player
like Brady.

Speaker 5 (34:35):
We think the Jets think.

Speaker 14 (34:37):
Right if you drop Tom Brady on the Jets roster
right now, they are legitimate Super Bowl contenders. If you
drop Tom Brady on the Carolina Panthers, he's got no
shot of winning the Super Bowl. He won't even he
might not even sniff the playoffs.

Speaker 3 (34:55):
First of all, as as you sure that shows from Boston,
My god, those access.

Speaker 4 (35:01):
I mean, wow, I got Mark said, I thought Ben
a flag.

Speaker 5 (35:05):
Mark Wahlberg, show up, k yah flag everybody.

Speaker 3 (35:09):
Yes, yes, it is harder to win in college, especially
for him to go to a non football school and
win at North Carolina. Yes, it would be incredible. I
think that's stating the obvious Tom Brady. The one thing
that people don't the points they brought up were all legit.
They also had a quarterback who threw thirty touchdowns and

(35:30):
they were seven and nine with a quarterback that threw
thirty interceptions.

Speaker 13 (35:34):
I mean thirty Seriously, that tells you how good that
team was. Yeah, he already shot him in the foot
of quite a bit of time. It would have picked six.

Speaker 6 (35:46):
Is that's just hilarious? Oh yeah, man, it's harder. Listen,
he doesn't have a foundation of being this great college choch.

Speaker 4 (35:53):
He didn't go to He's not going to al he
didn't go to Alabama.

Speaker 6 (35:55):
He's not going to Alabama where the train just keeps rolling,
or Ohio State or Oklahoma Texas, these schools that just
continuously have done well historically. I ain't gotta do nothing
to show up and say, hey, you want to come
play for Alabama, you want to come play for Georgia,
you know where it's easy to do that. He's got
to build up a program from start, which you're gonna
take some time. And again he's really doing it in

(36:17):
short order because none of us expect him to be
there that long. So it would be amazing if all
of a sudden, within a year or two, within a
year specifically though he goes there, somehow gets into college. Now,
the one thing I will say, the way this college
football playoff is set up now is to his advantage,
meaning having twelve. Now, if he were doing it with
us four and you're like, all right, it's gonna be hard,

(36:39):
twelve does give him a you know, just a slim.

Speaker 4 (36:41):
Shot him to win a national championship.

Speaker 6 (36:44):
No, what I'm saying is get in the tournament, is
what I'm saying. If you get in the tournament, from
there it becomes hey, anybody, you can never know. So
if he resta around and went eight and three or
some nine and three or something and got in the tournament.
You'd be like, all right, well, shoot he got a shot,
just because my point is he would have no shot
as what I'm saying a year two or three ago,

(37:04):
where because of the non twelve teams, like he wasn't
gonna finish in the top four. But now if you
can finish and remember you know you win your division,
you automatically get the top four seed. There are some
like ways to get in and sneak in, but no,
this would be a greater accomplishment for sure. Him going
there have no ties, hasn't done this before, right in

(37:25):
when this is totally different, Like, yeah, tom Brady knew
what he was doing.

Speaker 5 (37:29):
How he selected that team.

Speaker 3 (37:30):
One want, Tom Brady wasn't going to a bad team
and going to elevate them. That team, he looked at
it and said, you clean up those those interceptions, right,
you got they got receivers, they got a defense.

Speaker 6 (37:43):
This team you gotta coach Brewsterrians a offensive minded coach
who I can get down with.

Speaker 5 (37:47):
Yeah, I mean, it may say, and rightfully it's funny.

Speaker 3 (37:50):
Him and Bruce Arians did have a falling out because
you remember they pushed Bruceerians out.

Speaker 5 (37:54):
They did, they did.

Speaker 6 (37:55):
But in the beginning though, when he was choosing, he
was like, all right, they got Bruce Arians, their offensive
minded coach. He would he wasn't going to save the
Jags or nothing like that, you know, he would. Ain't
nobody that go do that.

Speaker 4 (38:06):
And then I'll be like, you are the goat. If
you could take the Jaguars anywhere, you know what I.

Speaker 6 (38:10):
Mean, if you're not leaving, if you either retire or
you stay in Boston, uh and with the Patriots, then
to go, you know, to some bad team, right if
you're gonna stay in the league.

Speaker 5 (38:21):
I'm trying to win right now.

Speaker 6 (38:22):
I'm going to a tailor made team, perfect situation, and
I can bring that leadership. I can bring the what
it takes to win to the locker room and mind you,
and I'm gonna go get some guys. I'm gonna go
get some hitters. I'm gonna go get grunk, get up
out the couns, bro, come help your boy out. Let's
go win one more.

Speaker 5 (38:37):
Come on, you know what I mean.

Speaker 6 (38:39):
Going to get some guys, some of your players, man,
and making it making it even easier for yourself. You know,
also Rob, somebody who may want to try to do
that and accept a different sport in the NBA that
is Lebron and uh Lebron.

Speaker 5 (38:55):
You have something to say about him, as.

Speaker 6 (38:57):
We just had Monci tell us a little earlier, not
expected to play tomorrow night. Has been gone for a
little bit. What's going on, sabbatical injuries, We don't know.
But you got some words for him about how what
he is or is not giving the Lakers.

Speaker 5 (39:10):
We'll do that. Rob Parker, Kevin Washington, the I couple,
