And if you're the Tigers, obviously you're already in the
fourth inning. But it can't be late again. You don't
want to be banking on late, you know, where you're
stressed out, you're trying to get a run, and it's late, seventh,
eighth inning, ninth, like, try to get something. But this
couple of runs here in the next two innings, like keepers,
you know, tied to get two to one, get a
little lead, put a little pressure on them.

Right especially you know you're on the road or whatnot.
But this is playoff baseball. I heard people, you know,
talking about the Dots, talking about his people, the Dodgers,
and you know last night the Dodge in Philly.

No, this is you got the best pictures, right, this
is what you have in the postseason A lot of times.
That's why these games are so close and people get
stomach aches watching these things, you know what I mean,

have to get something on the board because they're just

John Lynch did his weekly appearance on KMBR and he
was asked about whether or not the incredible play honestly
of Mac Jones, giving the injuries, giving him being banged up,
him being undefeated. If that's caused any kind of tension,
you know, in the quarterback room, because you know it
is brock Perty's team. But mac Jones has been flat
(05:41):
out better than brock Purty so far on these young season.
And Lynch shot it down and then he added quote,
I wholeheartedly believe that Brock is nothing but happy for
our team. He just working his tail off to try
to get back.
Speaker 2 (05:55):
I'm gonna say this, Kelvin, if I'm the forty nine Ers,
I want to refund on Rock Party. I never loved
the idea of paying mister irrelevant. I don't care what
the numbers were. I don't care. What have we learned
about the forty nine ers. Anybody you seem to put

in there, they seem to excel am I lying.

No, I can't. There's that could be that's true, there's
some truth to that.

It doesn't matter who they put in. It just seemed
like they're still they're still rolling. The offense is good enough.
And now you're looking and mac Jones looks like a
well oiled machine.

or the front office, don't you start to question whether
it really was rock party or what we they? When

got you. Yeah, what they've set up because they went
to the Super Bowl. They've they've had four quarterbacks, right,
and they just keep rolling.

I don't know, no that listen. I think a couple
of things can be true, Rob. I think Kyle Shanahan
is very very talented as an offensive mind. We've seen
that even in Atlanta. He can't close the game, I'll
give you that, but he's very talented as an offensive mine.
And that's a compliment to him that when things get
a little shaky, he's able to put in somebody. Jimmy
(07:46):
G half success, get to a super Bowl. He got
to a Super Bowl with him, right, Get to Jimmy
G get to Super Bowl. Brock Purdy comes in same thing,
NFC Championship game as well.

I mean, this guy has been productive.
Speaker 5 (07:58):
I think the difference for me was specifically between these
two guys, Matt Jones is a perfect guy to have
as a backup. We know you and I set up
here after week one going into week two. I believe
it was what did we say, Man, don't you hate
all these backups? Because there was like five to six
starting quarterbacks around and we're like, you get all excited
about these games. Football's back, baby, whoa? And he starters
(08:18):
around When we talked about that, a little bit of
the luster is gone. So having Matt Jones makes me
happy if I'm a fan of the forty nine ers,
you know, or if I'm a part of the organization,
because I got a guy that we feel comfortable with
having a spot as three, four, five, six games in
a season. But ultimately, Brock Perdy has to me earned
this money with them. He's twenty four and fourteen in

his career, He's been to a Super Bowl, he's played
well in games, he's won big games for you. In fact,
you don't even get to a super Bowl if you
know with you know, you lose to the Lions.
Speaker 3 (08:49):
In an NFC championship game.
Speaker 5 (08:50):
That game, I've said before, I think earned That's what
got him that money because the way he led that
team in that second half day.
Speaker 1 (08:56):
Well, it was also a choke by Detroit.
Speaker 3 (08:58):
I mean, I believe it.

Part of that was them seeing that, I mean he
has to still make Yeah, he had to still make plays.

And I hear your point absolutely the four, I mean
the Lions.

The Lions, they scored one of two field goals brock Proty.

What the field goal? What's the field Dan Campbell?

But you know, but you know what I mean, if
they would have made one or two field goals brock Proty,
they would have lost.

I'm screw listen. Played downtown l a with you know,
and you know this, you live here. Eighty five percent
of the people there are forty nine Ers fans, maybe
ten percent of just there for a good time.

I must have been sick in the first half in

Know, the entire city of Detroit was booking at their
uh their tickets to Vegas that year.
Speaker 2 (09:38):
Yeah, because they were texting me and then calling spirit.
I mean, that's happened, by the way.

They would so bring it up to say, I'm screaming early.
I said, you gotta take the three, and all my
Lions fans looked at me.

No, this is what we do.

No, no, no, you gotta take the three because this
is a different game. This is for its right to
go to the super Bowl. This ain't Week eight. I
get that, Okay, this is for a chance to go
to Super So I'm with you on that. But my
point with Brock is that game we said, man, I
didn't realize he could run like that. I didn't realize
he was that tough. I didn't realize he could make
these big types of plays, and he did that. So

I think it's a compliment that they got their guy
in Brock.

Perty he's not overly paid.
Speaker 5 (10:17):
He's right about where he's been if you're going based
off of success, because you can look at him and
compare him to other guys who haven't done anything as
far as the accolades and success he's had, and they're
making more than him. So he's right around where he
needs to be paid. And again they found their guy.
John Lynch talked about that. He said, this is a
guy that is right on the perfect balance of confident

but humble.

And they got to me, you have a great scenario.

I'm not convinced.

I'm not convince you winning super Bowl with Brock Purdy
and my point is only that no matter who they
seem to put in there, they seem to have offensive success.
And at some point you keep looking at that and saying,
did we really you know what I mean, did we
really really have to pay him?

Because sometimes you have to have Remember you're not winning

You're trying to win one. The forty nine ers are
desperate to win one. I'm just looking at Mac Jones.
He's got, he's got. He had three hundred and forty
two yards right against eighty four to seventy nine, six touchdowns,
only one interception.

I'm not really like like trying to over simplify it.
But they continue to get quarterback play no matter who's
in there.

So probably yeah. I think that's a compliment to Kyle
Shanahan again that he's able to get the most out
of guys. But I think they are absolutely secure when
you talk to those when you hear from all those teams, man,
they love Brock Party like the teammates to play they are.
They love that guy, And so to me, that's a
good thing. I got a guy who's going to be

paid properly for you.

I mean, I think that that's just a franchise guy. Well,

they signed him, But I'm just saying the likability. If
you're playing well, people like you. If you don't, then
there's probably some issues.

Mac Jones to me, again, he ain't did nothing wrong.
He's doing exactly what he's supposed to do. But I
do also feel like, is there there's a ceiling Whereas
with Rock Purty, with between his athleticism and again in
his toughness and his leadership, I feel like that's the.

broke into record stores and took a lot of the
turntables and DJ equipment, and that's when they were able
to really throw those block parties and like that. So
and I remember the black out in what two thousand
and three on the East coast, Midwest and East Coast
seven seventy good callss.

Right seventy seven. And I was there for that one
in Detroit. I was there. I was driving to the
doctor or something, and everything just shut off. And we
had our own generator for the station, ninety seven to one,
Detroit's FM talk station, and so you couldn't get gased.

You remember the whole thing. Everything was shut down. They
used to come pick me up.
Speaker 2 (17:26):
We had our own car, and we had our own
gas tank, and we had our own generator, and you
used to pick me up every day to do the
radio show during that stretch.

understand the Brock Party hate. Okay, because if you took
out the name Brock Party, right, and you took out
the name Kyle Shanahan and the forty nine ers and
his system and all that. If I just told you
that a man came into the NFL, okay, he took
his team to twenty four and fourteen, He took his
team to a Super Bowl, right, and then afterwards he

was rewarded with a big contract. Nobody at all would
have a problem with it. You would say that's exactly
how it should go for a decent quarterback. But because
the brock purty things, because mister irrelevant and everybody wants
to say that Shanahan, you know you can put any
quarterback in there.

Well, because they went to the super Bowl without Brock Party.

That's why that. Do you understand that?

were great? He won the MVP and they won the

you took out the names and the team and you
look at just what's happened and just to say we
got whether they went to the super Bowl before.

every time I go through these games for the Cowboys,
it's always the public and the Sharks are all on
the over on this Cowboy team because the defense just
hasn't been very good and the offense is shown the
ability to put up the points. So it's you know, shop,
Money's been on the over. When it comes to ticketcount,

it's about fifteen to one in favor of the over,
and money is about eight to one in favor of
the over. So yeah, it's always over when the Cowboys
are playing with their defense in their offense this year.

was asked about whether or not the incredible play honestly
of Mac Jones, giving the injuries, giving him being banged up,
him being undefeated. If that's caused any kind of tension,
you know, in the quarterback room, because you know it
is brock Perty's team. But mac Jones has been flat

out better than brock Purty so far on these young season.
And Lynch shot it down and then he added quote,
I wholeheartedly believe that Brock is nothing but happy for
our team. He just working his tail off to try
to get back.

I'm gonna say this, Kelvin, if I'm the forty nine Ers,
I want to refund on Rock Party. I never loved
the idea of paying mister irrelevant. I don't care what
the numbers were. I don't care. What have we learned
about the forty nine ers. Anybody you seem to put

that even in Atlanta. He can't close the game, I'll

And that's a compliment to him that when things get

to a Super Bowl with him, right, Get to Jimmy
G get to Super Bowl. Brock Purdy comes in same thing,

I think the difference for me was specifically between these
two guys, Matt Jones is a perfect guy to have
as a backup. We know you and I set up
here after week one going into week two. I believe
it was what did we say, Man, don't you hate
all these backups? Because there was like five to six
starting quarterbacks around and we're like, you get all excited
about these games. Football's back, baby, whoa? And he starters

around When we talked about that, a little bit of
the luster is gone. So having Matt Jones makes me
happy if I'm a fan of the forty nine ers,
you know, or if I'm a part of the organization,
because I got a guy that we feel comfortable with
having a spot as three, four, five, six games in
a season. But ultimately, Brock Perdy has to me earned
this money with them. He's twenty four and fourteen in

his career, He's been to a Super Bowl, he's played
well in games, he's won big games for you. In fact,
you don't even get to a super Bowl if you
know with you know, you lose to the Lions.

In an NFC championship game.

That game, I've said before, I think earned That's what
got him that money because the way he led that
team in that second half day.

didn't realize he could run like that. I didn't realize
he was that tough. I didn't realize he could make
these big types of plays, and he did that. So

I think it's a compliment that they got their guy
in Brock.

Perty he's not overly paid.

He's right about where he's been if you're going based
off of success, because you can look at him and
compare him to other guys who haven't done anything as
far as the accolades and success he's had, and they're
making more than him. So he's right around where he

guy that is right on the perfect balance of confident

outscored by seventeen plus points. In each of their past
two games, and as a result, Lamar the Rams are
going off at seven and a half point road favorites
in Baltimore, and that's notable because the Rams are five
to zero against the spread the last two years as
road favorites.

Where are they on this one?

You know, we have had very little action from the
Sharps from this one. I'm not sure if they are
filling Cooper Rush this week, but really not a lot
of action on this one. The public though, is on
the Rams at about a two to one clip. Money
has been on the Ravens, believe it or not. But yeah,
no Shark at sivity as of yet right now on

The Jets will face the Broncos this week in London.
Dever's currently coming off as a seven and a half
point favorite. I read today that teams favored by at
least four points in international games are sixteen to nine

against the spread and nineteen and six out outright.

So what kind of action are you see on this game?

Looks like the public is definitely definitely in favor of
the Broncos about three to one. Cliffs and tickets, although
money on here is a little split, you know, from
the ticket activity, the money is about four to one
in favor of the Jets here. This is one of
our big losers for the house right now. Over the
seven and a half Sharks have been pretty tepping on this.

Not a lot of that to be on this so far.
This is, you know, this early game out there, Pottnam Spur.
It's going to be early for these two teams. And
we'll see what happens with the Sharps when they come
in on a Sunday morning.

of tickets on the Chargers. But the money is all

all Dolphin money, so real money, the big money. Yeah,
the big money's on the Dolphins at about a nineteen
to one clip and the shots are of the Dolphins

Yeah, we're still at forty nine and a half. And
every time I go through these games for the Cowboys,
it's always the public and the Sharks are all on
the over on this Cowboy team because the defense just
hasn't been very good and the offense is shown the
ability to put up the points. So it's you know, shop,
Money's been on the over. When it comes to ticketcount,

it's about fifteen to one in favor of the over,
and money is about eight to one in favor of
the over. So yeah, it's always over when the Cowboys
are playing with their defense in their offense this year.

it is still a division game, and you know things
can change. We saw it last night Eagles Giants.

Yeah, I've not seen anything. This is one of our big,
big decisions for the house right now. It's all sharp
money on the Steelers. Oh yeah, late late to five,
late five and a half were sitting at the city. Also,
the public is about four to one in favor of
the Steelers on the ticket account and money in this

situation is all Steelers as well too, at about fifteen
to one. So it's definitely a big decision for us.
