Speaker 1 (01:40):
You got achy knees, the stiff back joints aren't cooperating
with Some days your body is just like nah, it's
not gonna do it. And know on those days, luckily
there's a leave with just one pill. A lead provides
up to twelve hours of paying relief so you can
keep on moving. Use as directed. Get to our Big
ten conversation. One bit, I just wanted to give you
props well, so you can fighting through what I've been

(02:02):
fighting through. I know that you're sick that you lost
or broke or whatever. You did some cool, pretty some
pretty cool shade you had. And more importantly than the
shades that were just right, dude.

Speaker 4 (02:14):
When you find those pair of shades that fit, you
want to hold on near and dear to them. You
almost suffocate them. Yeah, you know, keep them really close.
And uh yeah, I set them down and set them
down in the theater, man, And I was so tired
and just wanted to get out of there right and

(02:35):
in the haste, I just left out and left them
in the cup holder at the theater. Oh, never to
be seen again. Did we call them? We called, We
went back, We did call. They weren't there. How long
between the leaving and the callback it was probably it
was like a day and a half.

Speaker 1 (02:52):
Oh them, big gun. I'm so glad this ain't the nineties.
And you would have wasted your minutes. Remember we had mine,
and it's for herself. You a wasted minutes cause I
thought you're gonna say, like two three hours. Okay, there's hope, Nah, Alex,
give me the Glowilla seven and seven. Let me tell
you it is some fly. It's some fly person working

(03:12):
in that theater.

Speaker 3 (03:13):
Right now here with Alex.

Speaker 1 (03:15):
They're riding around right now with carry shades on, feeling
good on this summer day right now.

Speaker 3 (03:22):
I'm nice, right man.

Speaker 4 (03:24):
While I'm in my feelings over while you were in
your feelings dropping songs, they're feeling good, riding around your shades.

Speaker 5 (03:30):
Boy.

Speaker 3 (03:31):
I tell you you're.

Speaker 1 (03:32):
Right though, when you get it, when you get a
perfect fit, dude, I don't care if they cost. I
was telling you and Ryan, Yeah, costs a dollar or
twenty thousand dollars right One are the ones you like
fit right? You know you like the ten and just
to make you feel good when you wear man prices
and we've all lost a pair.

Speaker 6 (03:47):
Two.

Speaker 1 (03:47):
I had to call a hotel I had. It was
an award show, left them on the table. I called, hey, hello,
big hotel. Hey, yeah, they're like, they're here and they
I had to pay like twenty five dollars for them
to mail them to me, but dang it, you got them.
It was worth Oh and now I don't know where
they are. Let's stay focused. I have no idea where
they are, to be honest, I think my daughter's toss them.

Speaker 6 (04:05):
Somewhere h right by Kerry Rhodes.

Speaker 5 (04:06):
Shades ooh, shaded, ooh, noted, noted, just let me get it,
let me get let me get eight bars on it.

Speaker 1 (04:17):
All right, Ryan Man, there's a Big Ten floating idea
about twenty eighteen college football playoff breaking down.

Speaker 7 (04:25):
Yes, So this was a report that came out from
Pete Thamill over the weekend. He said the Big Ten
has considered an idea of massive expansion to the college
football playoff that would grow the postseason to twenty four
or twenty eight teams. While the idea is in the
very early stages, the proposal eliminates conference title games and
offers a large number of auto bids for all four
power leagues. Sources said, for example, in the twenty eight

(04:47):
team model, the Big Ten in SEC would each get
seven auto bids, while the ACC and Big twelve would
each receive five. There would be two auto bids for
the non Power four conferences and two at large teams.
Big Big Ten commissioner Tony Petiti ran the idea by
his conference last Wednesday, and it has begun being shared
by others.

Speaker 1 (05:07):
All Right, we went from four to twelve, not four
to eight, four to twelve and now not twelve to
sixteen to twenty two, twenty four, we're jumping a twenty eight. Now,
there's a lot to break down here, Kerrie Rhoades, let's
get into this, all right. So first of all, is
this march madness in the fall?

Speaker 3 (05:27):
What are we doing? It's crazy?

Speaker 1 (05:29):
And I'm assuming you I don't know, So I'm gonna
tell you Whyan because I don't know. You might love
the idea, I don't know. So this is what you're
setting up for. You're setting up for the Big ten
one's seven teams in whatever it is. You're gonna have
a four loss Indiana team or a four loss Iowa
team actually competing and having a chance, you never know,
to get to the national championship game. And this is

(05:50):
what you have when you start to think about money
over tradition, right when you start to picture everything is
about a dollar, which we know that it is. But
Dan Get the illusion is gone. It's gone. They ain't
even trying to hide it anymore. And to stop selling me,
by the way, Ryan carry, stop selling me on safety.

Speaker 3 (06:07):
Of the collegiate athletes, right, he's a scholar athlete.

Speaker 4 (06:10):
Stop that, because I mean, there's gonna be more because
you gotta go round around, right, other than the four teams,
but they'll get a bye. We gotta go round around
city to city, more traveling. And this is exactly why
these kids should get the money they can.

Speaker 8 (06:24):
Now.

Speaker 1 (06:24):
I think there's some parameters in some ways to do
it better, but you should because you never know, dude,
You've got more games, less time, you focus on your academics,
which some aren't that I want to put say all work.
So there's a lot who are understand I ain't going pro,
but there's some who believe they are and ain't caring
right now, so let's start with the idea they're the
student athlete, because that clearly is not the case here.
And to put money over tradition again, and this is

(06:46):
greed when you're talking about from the Big ten and
the SEC. Right, so we already know that coud both
these teams will get seven bids, which you mean seven
teams in and so on and so forth, more popularity,
more television, and then this is just gonna be something
where we already had to blow out this last go round. Right,
the average you know what the first round was the
average margin of victory almost twenty was nineteen points a game.

Speaker 3 (07:08):
Okay, you had more.

Speaker 1 (07:10):
Now you have more games where the possibility of these
blowouts and it's where it's a waste of time and
we're not really watch it. And again I go back
to the becoming the meaningless games college football would made
it different than other ones is there's about twenty teams
or so, who hey, we can't lose more than two?

Speaker 3 (07:26):
Yeah, max three? But two? Really is it to really
have a chance to compete? Now you can lose.

Speaker 1 (07:32):
Three, four, maybe five if we go to this twenty
eight game model. So college football is perfect because it's
not like the other sports programs and the moment we
actually make it to get where it's you know, easier
to get in, we're gonna lose. What makes it special
for those again, there's a lotment of teams who actually
have a shot at it. And sometimes bigger than necessarily

(07:55):
mean better. In this case, it means greedier. And I'm saying, guys, like,
where's the point of it all when you have a
chance to be in it? Even if you lose skip two,
three weeks, lose again, skip another couple weeks, lose again.
Don't worry about the fans. We still got a shot. Yeah,
all this.

Speaker 4 (08:12):
Is doing Kelvin is taking the urgency out of college football, right, Like,
if you can lose that amount of games, I don't
have to tune in as much to watch because it
doesn't matter as much. Like if you lose a game
two games now, like you're still.

Speaker 3 (08:26):
In the hunt. When I played, if you lost one game,
you're done.

Speaker 4 (08:30):
Like the importance that each game, each game meant for
college collegiate athletes at the time was a big deal
and that's why people tuned in because any getting the
whole any given Saturday, I know it's any given under
any given Saturday. If your top team loses, they're done.
And so you're taking that element out of it. It'll
make it'll make college football less enjoyable. But also you're

(08:53):
also setting up for just bad football. Yes, you just
said it that it was only was it twelve? It
was twelve, yes, and it was bad football with the twelve.
So imagine if.

Speaker 3 (09:04):
You go to twenty eight. I don't I don't want to.
I don't want to watch that.

Speaker 1 (09:07):
You're not because you're here's the thing you're bringing in
twenty eight teams it's not as if you're bringing the
best teams. No, you're gonna have probably twenty bad, maybe
eighteen bad teams, five pretty good and then five really good, right,
and you're gonna get them all mixed matched in this
one because they happen to win the champions and you
get and then you're gonna get a bunch of blots
when we just had that. I just told you the

(09:28):
average margin of victory was twenty yep. So now it's
not as if you're getting me. These games are gonna
be good. And if you want to use the March
Madness equation, we love the Cinderella a little bit, but
we ultimately get the powerhouses. We're getting Dukes, the Yukons
and North Carolina's yeah, and you know, the the Gonzagas
or something that's we're getting the blue bloods in there,

(09:50):
and that's what we're getting, and they're gonna ultimately get
the same teams and the college football playoff team at
the end of it all.

Speaker 4 (09:57):
And March Madness is totally different because it's five players
on the court. One guy can go off in the
game and steal you a game. We're in football, it
just doesn't work that way, you're not beating Ohio State.
If you're you know, you're some bad team. No, No,
Kansas is not beating Alabama. You went Kansas. You just
threw Kansas out there. I did throw under the bus. Well,

(10:19):
they got the basketball side stick with that. Okay. So
this idea that yeah, let's just make it twenty eight teams.
We'll get seven and you'll get seven and the rest
of y'all fighting for your life.

Speaker 3 (10:29):
Yeah, that's the crazy part.

Speaker 1 (10:30):
And what they're trying to do carry is keep the
hope alive for a little team that you know, oh man,
you got a chance to do something you don't and
it can maybe be a payday for these other teams. Right,
you got to because if you mess around, and uh
there's also Ryan correct me if I'm wrong. The way
it's gonna work is a lot of teams will get
home field advantage.

Speaker 3 (10:46):
It's not gonna be like a lot of neutral sites.
So you got to So.

Speaker 1 (10:48):
If you're a smaller school and you get a game
or two, that's a big that's a big money for
those schools. We got an extra couple of playoff games
that we can charge big money for parking and concessions
and sure, mess around and make seven, eight, ten million
a game or whatever the number would be from these games.
You know, sure that's great for them, but ultimately the
quality of the football is going to be horrible. And again,

(11:08):
it's just rewarding mediocrity for teams that we have higher
expectations for. If you're Georgia and you lose three or four,
Alabama lose three or four, yeah, we don't necessarily that.
We have high expectations for you, Michigan, and then you
can't just oh man, I lost four or five games
and I got a shot, like, no.

Speaker 3 (11:27):
The season should be over for you, and we'll see
you next year.

Speaker 1 (11:31):
Recruit better, get better schematics and play the better quarterback,
and we'll.

Speaker 4 (11:36):
See you next fall and get more money and get
more bread. Throw that in there, because that's this is
the new that you forgot. Give more money, the new college,
will get more money, go get some better play exactly
that part, because you know they'll be available because.

Speaker 1 (11:48):
God, by God forbid you stick around. They were just talking,
Oh my gosh, who's the man the quarterback who was behind?
Who was the quarterback that was supposed to be next up?
When Caleb Leff looked that up for me real quick.
Ryan forgot his name, Mila Moss, Miler Moss was it?
Miler Ross Moss was at USA. Yeah, yeah, but I

(12:09):
think he actually got this spot but looking up for it.
So they did the whole thing on breakdown of how
where this kid is now? And he just kept transferring
and leaving schools, and he was the number one in
his class and then he's number two, and now he's
like the five hundred and thirteenth ranked player in college football.
And my point is, I always use it as man,
I'm all for look these kids being able to have

(12:29):
power over their lives because because coaches can look you
in your eye and being your mom and daddy living room.

Speaker 3 (12:34):
I'm not gonna leave. I'm here with them.

Speaker 6 (12:36):
To the end.

Speaker 1 (12:37):
First thing smoking, Hey, it's your agent. They offered you
an extra five hundred thousand a year. We out right,
first thing, First thing smoking. So I do love the
idea that these players can have more power and control
of their their their lives. But what I don't like
is you not having the the wear a thought to
understand sometimes the best situation is there and you just

(12:58):
might have to outplay.

Speaker 3 (12:58):
Somebody one hundred percent. You might have to beat somebody out.
You might.

Speaker 1 (13:02):
Hey, I knew I was supposed to be the starting cornerback,
not quarner corner as far as starting dB.

Speaker 3 (13:06):
But this other kid is balling instead. What do they do?
They keep transferring.

Speaker 1 (13:10):
Then you go to smaller school just because you can start,
and it's like, all right, but you're not playing the best.

Speaker 3 (13:13):
You're not.

Speaker 1 (13:14):
Nobody's challenging you not to. Dude, you might have to
work in Michigan, Ohio, State, Alabama, these two. But you
start for your junior and senior year.

Speaker 3 (13:21):
That's all. You're gonna be a beast, that's all.

Speaker 1 (13:23):
What you need is that one year and a half
on film and you can be a top whatever pick
and get in the league.

Speaker 3 (13:28):
But oh starting, I'm transferring, right.

Speaker 1 (13:32):
And then you go to the other school and you
do start, but you don't like the coaches approach. I'm transferring.
That's the thing I don't like. If it's a real
situation that you know, you would feel the need, great,
but I don't like the idea.

Speaker 3 (13:44):
Things didn't go my way. I don't like it. I'm transferring.

Speaker 1 (13:47):
Sometimes the best version of you is getting better and
realizing I'm not as good as I thought, and I
got to push through. And you have years to do.
It's not like you got one year. Get better. Man up,
young man up, preach outwork this dude. Yeah no, I
mean one hundred percent. Everybody's just transferring going on. I'm like, Yo,
that doesn't mean you're gonna be better just because you

(14:09):
put on some good take because you went to Wichita
State and were the best defensive back there.

Speaker 4 (14:14):
Don't run from the grind. Ever, those be the wisest
words you ever hear. Don't run from the grind. I
mean I had similar situation like that in college myself.
I came in as a as a college quarterback, and
for me to get playing time on the field, the
coach is like, you're gonna have to switch to safety,
and I was like, nope, I'm out same mentality.

Speaker 3 (14:33):
At first.

Speaker 4 (14:34):
My dad was like, no, no, no, You're not running
from the grind. You're gonna You're gonna stay here. You
can do anything they ask you to do. You're talented enough.
Like he gave me that confidence and was like, no,
you face you don't. As a man, you do not
run from your commitment. I made the commitment to come
to Louisville. So you're here, you're in the building, You
got the scholarship, You do the work, put my head down, grind.

(14:56):
Didn't run from the grind. And here it is now
like I completed the task, you know, and it had
a good pro career. Good career there obviously was turned
into a good pro career. And so yeah, that's my thing.

Speaker 1 (15:06):
I'm not saying you have to stay somewhere if it's
a horrible situation, but the idea that the minute it
doesn't go my way, I'm gonna bell. I'm not a
fan of that right because all of us. I don't
care what field of work you're in. You got to
push through. You gotta push through, man, you gotta go
through it. You got a boss that ain't believing in you.
You got to make them believe you got a co work.
It has been hard. I ain't show them what's up.

(15:26):
Put them hands on that co.

Speaker 3 (15:31):
Yeah you heard me, right next to me too, he's close.
He's close enough.

Speaker 1 (15:35):
You must sit in here with me and Rob every
now and again we want to put hands on Rod.
I want the lottoed up, the ticket. I don't run
the grind. There you go like the lotto though, that's
what it is. They say that the odds are you
gonna be broken? Like a handful of leaders, They say,
because I like the grind Yeah, good point eight seven
seven ninety nine on Fox.

Speaker 3 (15:52):
You can jump in.

Speaker 1 (15:52):
Maybe you're a fan of this, This Big ten idea
of twenty eight college football playoff team eight seven seven
ninety nine on Fox will take some calls. If you
like it, you love it, you don't like it, what
are your thoughts on that? Will take a few calls
on that as well. Don't forgive We got Tyler Drag Dragon.

minutes or so. NFL reporter for USA Today. We'll talk
to some NFL head with him as well. I can't

(16:14):
stand stop it. Remember we just said put hands on coworkers.

Speaker 4 (16:17):
I was born into a trust fund family. Do you
know what I would do? You worse run from the
I wouldn't put hands on you. I put scissors on
the man. Bun Ooh okay, it grows back. You'd be
mad it grows back. He's gonna run from the grind.

Tyler. We appreciate that. Tyler.

Speaker 1 (18:11):
Dragon on the way. In just a few minutes, Let's
hit a few calls real quick. Carrie, we're talking about
Big ten floating that idea twenty eight teams. We kind
of thanks to Ryan. He broke down all the details
of it. Seven at large bids for the Big ten
at SEC and then you get ten for the rest
of the non you know big those two conferences. So
let's go to uh, Anthony Wichita, Anthony, you're over the

(18:33):
Odd Couple, Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 3 (18:34):
Anthony.

Speaker 11 (18:34):
What you're thinking, brother, Well, what I'm thinking? First of all,
I gotta I gotta say this man, thanks for referencing
Wichita State.

Speaker 1 (18:43):
Oh that is true. We didn't bring up Wichita State.
There you go, look at it. Ironically enough for got
somebody from Wichita.

Speaker 4 (18:49):
I think he misremembered that that might be it for
a decade.

Speaker 11 (18:53):
Whatever I claimed the same is really Jeff Jefferes and
resting teams, Prince mcjenkins because we haven't had a program
since about nineteen eighty six eighty seven. Okay, gotcha, all right,
so at best they will probably go to friends university
that you will in aiigh school.

Speaker 3 (19:14):
Okay, well you breaking it down? So what you got
you done with this or no?

Speaker 11 (19:19):
No, hey, for all the reasons that you that you
brought up. And I went on chat GPT and even
agree with.

Speaker 3 (19:30):
You Chat GBT.

Speaker 11 (19:34):
Now I'm going down the road and I'm doing the
voice servers. Why is it a bad idea to expand
the college football play after twenty eighteens? And it talked
about the academics, the risk of injury. I mean everything
you guys point out CHET, GPT hitting pretty much the
same thing. You know, all this is just them trying
to position to one big super conference. Yeah, and I

(20:01):
wouldn't be surprised if big trolls teams be left out
unless you have a brand name, and they already went
to SEC. So probably the only school from the Big
Toe that will probably get invited to that one big
super conference might be maybe Oklahoma State at the best,

(20:23):
or maybe one of the Texas school like Texas Tech.
It just depends on what school catches like.

Speaker 1 (20:28):
Well, who's having who's having a good season? Anthony, appreciate
the call right there, brother, appreciate you. Let's try to
squeezing a couple more real quick, Indianapolis. We'll go out
to Indianapolis with j R. Out there.

Speaker 3 (20:38):
J Are you on the couple of Fox Sports Radio?

Speaker 12 (20:41):
Hey, good enough, fellers, what's up JR.

Speaker 3 (20:43):
Man.

Speaker 11 (20:44):
I'm on the opposite end of this situation.

Speaker 12 (20:48):
I believe it could bring more attention back to college football.

Speaker 11 (20:51):
I just say they're likely.

Speaker 12 (20:52):
Bland in all the old traditional bowls and Maximin mixed
me in with the games, and then it just brings
back all the nostalgia of college football because can you
tell me who was a Rose Bowl winner, the cam
who was a Cotton Bowl winner? You know, all the
whole bowl games and we used to watch. I think
we could blend them in. And of course it's gonna

(21:15):
be some blowouts just because any given day you can
get blown out, But I think that would concentrate it
back to where we want to see is the bowl
games that really matter, and we go see the games
that really mattered. Don't miss the money in. It's gonna
get everybody, I think what they want.

Speaker 1 (21:31):
Really, Yeah, I just think I hear you, Jay, I
appreciate the call. I just think there'll be a chance
for too many blowouts where and again, too many teams
that didn't even really deserve to be in it giving
them And by the way, they'll get to say we
were a college football playoff team, you know what I mean,
Like they'll be able to say that and you're look
at you all they must have been there, what seven
and five or you know, you know eight and four? Yeah,

(21:53):
like what why was that good? That's always one more
real quick carry Pittsburgh's go to allat Hey, Alice, you
were on with the I Coomon Fox Words.

Speaker 13 (22:00):
Why and you know, I have to have an opain
about college football too, besides the.

Speaker 3 (22:05):
Besides the Steelers right right.

Speaker 13 (22:07):
Now, beside the Steelers. I'm a Notre Dame fan and
I was listening to Dan Patrick this morning and it
was pretty funny listening to him talk about it, because
he said, oh, and you know, they'll be an SEC
team and I'll be and two at large Notre Dame
because he Notre Dame always gets in somehow. And I
don't know whether I think they're ranked like six is year.
But the thing is, you're going to have the teams

(22:29):
playing that were, like you said, really have no business
being there. It's going to be boring football. You want
to see like forty nothing blowouts and you're not going
to have a Cinderella team at the end. It's like
there is it in uh march marchindness?

Speaker 2 (22:44):
Right?

Speaker 13 (22:44):
And are they going to start having load management with
some of these players, like really good players, and they
will sit them out for some games because we don't
want to take a risk of them getting hurt. We'll
have a good night, guys. I'm on my way home
from work and I it's been a long day.

Speaker 3 (23:01):
We'll get you some real station.

Speaker 1 (23:03):
That's a good point too, because if I'm you know,
find myself ten and oher with a game or two
games left, all right, have a seat, quarterback, arch, go ahead,
have a seat, arch yep, because we can lose two
still get in and then you know you can do
your thing once we get to the college for football playoff.

Speaker 3 (23:18):
Interesting point, the all right.

Kevin Washington, my man.

Speaker 1 (23:32):
Kerry Rose is in for Rob Parker on This Magic
City Monday. Oh Ak and E stiff back joints not
cooperating some days your body's just like knowing on those days.
Luckily there is a leave with just one pill. The
lead provides up to twelve hours of pain relief so
you can keep moving. Use as directed. Our guest now
is Tyler Dragon, NFL reporter for USA Today and somebody

(23:53):
I spent way too much time with last week.

Speaker 3 (23:55):
Tyler, what's up?

Speaker 10 (23:56):
Man?

Speaker 14 (23:58):
It wasn't way too much time.

Speaker 3 (23:59):
Oh did I said that out loud? My bad?

Speaker 11 (24:01):
My bad?

Speaker 3 (24:01):
I said that. He definitely said way too much.

Speaker 1 (24:03):
So we had a great time out there in Cleveland
in a BJ and a good time as always. Tyler, Man,
how you feel everything good?

Speaker 14 (24:11):
I'm doing good. It's good to see you again. I
feel like I just saw you, like you said, But
it's good to join you guys.

Speaker 1 (24:17):
Yeah, that's a good point. We would feel like that's
we good for about six months after this. Well, let's
get to this. There's a there's a bunch going on
in the NFL. We got even got some Monday night
football going on. The Bengals scoring again. They look like
themselves except defensively. Uh, you know, still gonna be some
struggles there as well, like themselves.

Speaker 3 (24:36):
Yeah, you're right. Never I take that back.

Speaker 1 (24:37):
All right, I want to I want to jump on
some of the quarterback conversations we've been having around the NFL,
and I'm gonna start with Dylan Gabriel, Shador Sanders, Joe Flacco,
who is now named quarterback one.

Speaker 3 (24:49):
We expected that, But what's going on with the Browns?

Speaker 1 (24:52):
And ultimately, as we're closer to the start of the
regular season, what do you make of the depth chart there?
What's gonna happen?

Speaker 14 (24:58):
So shameless plug actually writing a column on this that's
going to be published, small on you, and I feel
like the Browns are doing themselves a disservice by starting
Joe Flacco. They know what they have in Flaco already.
The Browns have had forty starting quarterbacks since nineteen ninety nine,

(25:19):
Blaco being one of them, you know what you have
in him? Yes, he did perform well in that twenty
and twenty three seasons four and one as a starter,
helped them reach the playoffs. But Blaco isn't getting you
any closer to the postseason, isn't getting you any closer
to a Super Bowl title. And the Browns need to
find their franchise quarterback for once. They drafted those two

(25:43):
quarterbacks here this past year in Dylan Gabriel and Sdor Sanders.
Why don't you see what you have in them before
the twenty twenty six NFL draft when you have two
first round picks. So, if I were the Browns, maybe, okay,
maybe Lacko starts at the beginning of the season. The
Browns have a very tough schedule. Five of their first

(26:06):
six opponents are playoff teams. But after this tough stretch,
the Browns should really really consider starting Dylan Gabriel or
Shader Sanders, or maybe even switch off both of them
to see what they have before the twenty twenty six
NFL draft.

Speaker 1 (26:22):
So I wrote the piece for him because that's what
I've been saying. That's what I've been screaming. I'm been
screaming at Tyler.

Speaker 3 (26:29):
Yeah, y'all.

Speaker 4 (26:30):
You know, y'all, y'all text before the before this segment started, Tyler,
I know you don't believe that they should play those
young guys over flock going. I mean, the thing about
Cleveland and we had this argument discussion going on before
you came on, is obviously expectations for the Browns are
pretty low, but within the organization, they were a year

(26:50):
removed from being a dominant defense and the team that
made it to the playoffs. So you know, Stephanski still
believes that they can win. You don't think Flocko gives
them the best the best chance right.

Speaker 14 (26:59):
Now, So the best chance at what being fourth in
the division, third in the division. I don't care who's
starting a quarterback this season. They're not better than the
Baltimore Ravens, They're not better than the Steelers, and they're
probably not better than the Cincinnati Bengals either. So regardless
of Flaco plays, what are you looking at five hundred

(27:21):
at best season? I mean, you might as well kick
the tires and see what you have in Dylan Gabriels
Shador Sanders to see if they are the franchise quarterback.
You need to find out if your quarterback of the
president in the future is a your roster right now
before the twenty twenty sixth draft when it's a QB

(27:41):
heavy draft that we know. So if the Browns don't
like any quarterback that they have in their roster, as
long as they try them out, then they can go
on and start a new next year. But for me, Flaco, yes,
I get it to start the regular season because you
don't want to try the rookie quarterback out there when

(28:03):
five of your first six games are against playoff opponents.
You start off against Joe Burrow in Cincinnati Bengals, that's
going to be a track meet. But you know, after
that tough stretch, it will be who the Browns to
start one of their rookie quarterbacks and to play them
to see what they have.

Speaker 4 (28:21):
Well, Tyler, the only thing I'll say about that is
that's kind of contingent on the seat of the head
coach in the GM. Right, is Stefanski on solid ground
in Cleveland and he has a chance to kick the
tires and see what these young guys can do, or
does he need to win?

Speaker 2 (28:36):
Right?

Speaker 4 (28:36):
Now, and I think that's the whole thing with my
approach with it. Right, the NFL is such a fickle
business and if you don't win two years there like
you usually out. So I think that's probably why Stefanski
feels the way he feels with Flakos.

Speaker 14 (28:50):
So I disagree with you there because I believe that
Kevin Stefanski's seat is contingent upon the development of Gabriel
and standards. Okay, they already he's already coached Joe Flacco. Yes,
Joe Flacco performed decent during his short stint with the
brown but Joe Flacco is not a quarterback at this

(29:11):
stage forty years old that's going to lead you to
the postseason, going to get you an AFC North title.
The Browns are far away from that at this point.
Now they could be You could find out that they
could be closer at continuing for a division title if
Shador Sanders pans out or Dylan Gabriel pans out and

(29:32):
then they performed well in the preseason. Yes it was
against backups, but you might as well continuing to see
what you have in those rookie quarterbacks to see if
they are the quarterbacks of the future.

Speaker 1 (29:45):
Yep, Hey Tyler, Tyler Dragon USA Today NFL Report. I
want to squeeze in one more before we go real quick.
One of the teams that you know, the Chiefs. It's
interesting a lot of people are saying, well, you know,
the Broncos could win this division. Are the Chargers could
win this division?

Speaker 3 (29:59):
You know what? The Raiders may we can't winning, but
they're gonna be good. Are the Chiefs? Where are you?

Speaker 1 (30:03):
Are they gonna take a step back? Are they gonna
just are the Chiefs going chief And here we are?
We look up and they're thirteen and four and they
won the division and they're heading towards another Super Bowl appearance.

Speaker 14 (30:13):
Now I'm an LA guy. I live out here, but
the Chiefs are going to chief I'm sorry the Chargers.
I'm sorry for the Raiders.

Speaker 11 (30:21):
Oh.

Speaker 14 (30:21):
Thele Broncos means they're gonna win the AFC West tenth
straight years. You can make a case that they're even
better than last season with the development of their offensive lines.
Drafted Josh Simmons in the first round, They're gonna get
Rashi Rice. Yes, he's gonna be suspended, but his suspension
is not going to last the whole season. Another year
under his belt with Xavier Worthy, the defense should be strong.

(30:44):
I believe the Chiefs are gonna win a ten straight
at the West title.

Speaker 1 (30:48):
All right, there you have it perfect time. It is
like you've done this before, Tyler.

Speaker 3 (30:52):
Appreciate you time.

Speaker 12 (30:53):
I see you too much.

Speaker 6 (30:54):
Kelly, No man, I.

Speaker 3 (30:55):

Speaker 1 (32:04):
Sometimes you get something and it changes your life, like
this song for Rihanna. She was already gonna be said
and she'd have been around for a while. She's pretty
had good songs. This song took her to the next
level because it transcended everywhere. It was on every radio
station with tip, hop, R and B rock like maybe
not rock, but you know what I mean it. It
was on everything. Cut her hair, remember she had the

(32:25):
little bag. This was bad girl rebe So. By the way,
funny is this was supposed to be Mary J. Bliger's song,
but she passed on it. I love when you hear
actors singers tell you the stuff they passed on.

Speaker 3 (32:37):
Will Smith was supposed to.

Speaker 1 (32:39):
Be and Deo Matrix, yep, got he passed exactly and
you know why he passed. He said He just thought
it would be too much, and I think Denzel was
also up for mate for Morpheus. Two brothers, they would
have like, No, people wouldn't buy, you know, two brothers,
and it just wouldn't have worked.

Speaker 8 (32:58):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (32:58):
He also said it like trying to pitch that idea
at the Wacoski Brothers, trying to pitch it.

Speaker 3 (33:03):
He couldn't really understand it. Oh, it was too big too.

Speaker 6 (33:06):
That's true that part, because Will doesn't seem like that
kind of guy to me.

Speaker 2 (33:09):
You know.

Speaker 1 (33:09):
Another one he passed on huh dzeango his wife to friends.

Speaker 3 (33:13):
Wait, say it again?

Speaker 6 (33:14):
What what he said? You said? What what you said?
What Will passed on?

Speaker 11 (33:19):
Man?

Speaker 4 (33:19):
That's funny. I'm not it went over my head because
he heard, but I didn't. He's go ahead repeat it.

Speaker 6 (33:26):
What is like CONSI brothers just too much?

Speaker 4 (33:28):
Right?

Speaker 2 (33:28):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (33:29):
Yeah, he just said it's uh assisting in other ways
with the person he loves, is what he was saying.

Speaker 3 (33:35):
Gott okay, cool.

Speaker 6 (33:36):
It is the couple.

Speaker 3 (33:37):
I'm quick, you are quick, and you want it to
This same boss is working today.

Speaker 1 (33:42):
Fox Sports man, we just had the longest dissertation about
anyway Fox Sports Radio. It is the eye couple kelvin Washington,
carry roads in for Rob, thank you for listening to
your boys. And for over forty years, tyre Wreck has
been helping customers find the right tires for how and
where they drive, ship fast and free back by free

(34:02):
tire installation tire reck dot com. It is the way
tire buying should be. And as promise, it is now
time for last call.

Speaker 3 (34:07):
This is the last car.

Speaker 1 (34:25):
On the odd couple. Let's go to Sean in North Dakota.
Sean and Dakota. You are all with the odd couple.
Fox Sports Radar. You are the last call, Sean.

Speaker 14 (34:38):
That's what's up.

Speaker 15 (34:40):
So I'm thinking, Man, if the Browns somehow, if they
pass or don't even give Shadora Sanders a shot, like
and he goes somewhere else and ends up being something amazing,
they'll never live it down. I mean, they gotta give
him a shot.

Speaker 1 (34:57):
Well, let me ask you this, Sean, why do you
you think they're maybe they're down playing it, maybe he's
maybe he because you know there is still the chance
Carrie and Sean that he could be the fourth quarterback
and not actually make the roster or or just is
on the practice squad. So why do you think so, Sean,
you clearly are in favor of it. Why do you
think they're either playing koy with us or they just

(35:19):
don't believe in them?

Speaker 16 (35:22):
I got that.

Speaker 15 (35:23):
We won't know that until the season starts where they have.

Speaker 17 (35:26):
IM mean, if they can't keep four quarterbacks, I mean
maybe as a scout player, but I just think they
should give him a shot, just for the downfall that
it would be if he went somewhere else and did
awesome another guy that they drafted and actually got to
steal on.

Speaker 3 (35:40):
Sean doesn't want them to have buyers with more son.
That's what it is. Well, it's funny when you got
the owner talking about thank you Sean for the call. Hey,
I ain't.

Speaker 4 (35:47):
It was on him exactly, so it worked. He's already hey,
but it don't work. I ain't want them with me exactly.

Speaker 3 (35:53):
I lie.

Speaker 1 (35:53):
Let's go to one more real quick Eric in Austin,
you get the last call.

Speaker 3 (35:59):
You guys doing what.

Speaker 16 (36:01):
I'm good? First off, before I get him my point,
I want to say Jamie Foxx was absolutely perfect for Jango.
I'm absolutely happy.

Speaker 4 (36:07):
One thousand agree with you. Yes, he Will Smith would
have been Will Smith, not Jango.

Speaker 16 (36:13):
No one else could play Django but Jamie Fox all
down that hill. But let me say this, I want
to push back on the notion. I want to put
back on the notion that Kevin Stefanski and Brian Davar
on hot seat number one. Brian Davon with the Giants,
he hi won d Jones, he got Dale Jones that
in his last and Joe she that the d M
he should be fired but not briand he should have

(36:34):
a fair shot with Jackson Dark. Kevin Savanski, his owner,
literally came out and said, I made a mistake bringing
in Deshaun Watson. Is that his faults?

Speaker 11 (36:43):
No, Like, okay, I can't.

Speaker 16 (36:45):
I just I can't. And I will say the Browns
don't know what they're doing.

Speaker 11 (36:47):
They're like the Sacramento Kings in the NFL.

Speaker 16 (36:50):
They don't know what they're doing. Because to start Joe
Flacco just to go maybe maybe six in eleven, I
don't know, Like.

Speaker 3 (37:00):
Why is it always even though I keep trying to
tell this man, don't nobody would hear know? Joe Flackoe,
why is this six and eleven?

Speaker 10 (37:07):
You?

Speaker 3 (37:07):
Or Rob Parker, Joe wackoe. Nobody got time for that.

Speaker 1 (37:10):
Ain't nobody got time for that telling me, oh Joe flackhole,
can't believe you guys, And then you know what, let's
just even say you go nine and eight, some weird
way you made in the postseason, and you lose in
the wild card. Yep, we're right back at square one,
starting over with somebody else. No, you got a whole
year of knowing more about that quarterback as well than

(37:31):
I could have had a whole year knowing more about him,
watching and play in real time and losing. Speaking of
real time, had a good time with your brothers always,
bro Yep, we will do it again tomorrow.

Speaker 15 (37:39):
Right.

Speaker 3 (37:39):
You ain't got no acting gig or nothing. Just me,
come in the building. The Jason Smith Show with Mike
Harmon is coming up next.

Speaker 2 (37:45):
I never miss your radio show.

Speaker 6 (37:47):
I never hear it, so I never miss it.

Speaker 3 (37:48):
