Speaker 4 (01:22):
Martin.

Speaker 3 (01:24):
Conversation about we're talking Mike of course now a packer,
which is official, so he kind of just got to
move forward in that regard. But so the packers are
happy they got a guy. We heard, you know, their
coach talk about it. We've heard, of course now from
Jerry Jones. We've heard a little bit from Micah today.
Maybe we'll play a little bit more of that a
little bit later on.

Speaker 4 (01:42):
Uh. But so you kind of see these things moving forward.

Speaker 3 (01:46):
But if we were to look back into rearview mirror
a little bit, there are some contenders, some teams who
are right there who maybe they missed the boat. And
we talked about this earlier with some of our guests
when I said, hey, there are other teams that if
this was out there earlier, maybe they jump in. If
you're Jerry Jones say look, man, we love Mike is
just not working out. We're you know, we're accepting some

(02:06):
trade offers. You do this before the draft, you never
know you might have got even bigger haul.

Speaker 4 (02:10):
And what you could have got.

Speaker 3 (02:11):
And so now that we look at this, there's some
teams that you think, maybe, just maybe could have benefited
from the services of a Michael Parsons. And it reminds
me we've talked about this before, and of I call
it like hitman for hire. You know where you can
get a guy if you're right there, he can be
that piece that elevates you, that piece that takes you

(02:33):
over the top.

Speaker 4 (02:34):
And one of the conversations.

Speaker 3 (02:35):
We've all been talking about is America's team and an
America's team. In this doc, we see a couple of
instances of this Alse Haley, who was on those those
forty nine ers team. He was obviously a great defensive end,
crazy talent, some might even say a little crazy off.

Speaker 4 (02:53):
The field as well. I don't think you don't think
you have to quantify it. No, yeah, yeah, there's some
there's some stuff on there.

Speaker 3 (03:00):
He goes to the Cowboys or right there, man, and
we are Charles Haley type of guy.

Speaker 4 (03:04):
Away they get him.

Speaker 3 (03:06):
He makes plays, and he makes plays in the NFC
Championship game against the former team and forty nine Ers,
and he made them. You know, he obviously elevated them
and made those some of those key players to get
that win. I'll stay with those two teams. I'll go
with Deon Sanders. Those teams were already good. They already
had that thing. And this is the key component to me, Martin.

(03:28):
This isn't the NBA where I get a Lebron Wow,
I'm Steph Curry and them. Man, we game to Game
seven against the Casts, Man, we just need boom. We
get Kevin Durant Texas over the top. You know this
can happen in the NBA because one guy can be
that good. You're only playing five guys and if somebody's
that talents that they can do that. The key component
for this working in the NFL to me is you'll

(03:48):
notice a trend with when we have these situations, and
that is the teams.

Speaker 4 (03:52):
Were already good or they had already been.

Speaker 3 (03:55):
Like if you take a Kansas City Chiefs, you gotta
be right there to make this work because one guy
in the NFL, aside from about four or five quarterbacks,
don't make a difference like that. Sure, So if you're
the Chiefs and you were to get a Dak Prescott,
well that makes a massive difference. Right if you are
all of a sudden, say the Eagles, and you only
add because you're already the ranting chances, but you add,

(04:16):
how great is that?

Speaker 4 (04:17):
If you're Lamar Jackson, you've been right there.

Speaker 3 (04:19):
You've been an AFC Championship games, or Josh Allen, you've
been AFC Championships ship games.

Speaker 4 (04:23):
To me, these are the only.

Speaker 3 (04:24):
Types of teams that could work for because you just
need to be a small piece of way because in
the NFL, one guy again, except for a handful of quarterbacks,
it doesn't make a difference.

Speaker 4 (04:33):
So it is interesting that these teams that were right.

Speaker 3 (04:35):
There, the Buffalo Bills, Lamar Jackson, is this the thing
that gets you over the hump finally and gets you
pass the Chiefs. It is interesting if maybe a team
like the with the Rams have done this. They've already
done this, They've had their Von Millers and all that, but.

Speaker 4 (04:50):
But the Rams, the Rams are the cation point.

Speaker 5 (04:55):
They went all in, traded the whole FM picks Mantra Win,
Odell Beckham, who ended up getting hurt in the Super
Bowl they playing around on that year, got added to
von Miller, which opened up Aaron Donald. Like they were
they're kind of the blueprint in terms of the we're
going all in, because why did they do that?

Speaker 4 (05:15):
They said, we had a team that we felt was
super Bowl ready.

Speaker 5 (05:19):
We go get Jalen Ramsey, we go get I mean
after they got Matthew Stafford, they said, we now we
got the quarterback, and then go make all those high
profile moves.

Speaker 3 (05:28):
And so you wonder if the Packers, obviously they this
is their way of saying, we feel this way now
that we have of course, we got our quarterback. They
believe in that maybe more than others might. But they
got their guys. They're locked in. They got some great
young core piece, especially in the defensive end, and some
younger rides and receivers.

Speaker 4 (05:43):
We'll see what they do. And now they got their guys.

Speaker 3 (05:46):
So to me, this just says, Jordan Love, you're officially
on the clock.

Speaker 4 (05:51):
Since the other teams didn't do it, the teams that.

Speaker 3 (05:52):
Are much closer than we are, you know, with the
bills of the Ravens and a couple of other teams.
Well now you're on the clai Georde Locaz. They ain't
want them, We got them.

Speaker 4 (06:03):
Bam.

Speaker 3 (06:03):
The clock has officially started, and we'll see what they're
able to do in a division first and foremost, because
they gotta win that division. That's gonna be tough if
they want to start making some noise, but potentially in
the postseason.

Speaker 5 (06:14):
So this is the thing that I don't understand, especially
when you look at the other like big trades, which
you know, notable if you want to call it. In
the last few years, Jerry got back the least amount
of draft capital that pretty much almost anybody had in
recent in recent history. Give me one second year, Yeah,

(06:36):
Jamal Adams or Deshaun Watson went for.

Speaker 4 (06:41):
Six picks total right.

Speaker 5 (06:43):
In twenty twenty two and a fully guaranteed contract, three
first rounders, a third, and two fourth rounders. Jamal Adams
in twenty twenty when he went from the jest to
the Seahawks to the Seahawks right, two first rounders and
a third rounder. Me Toun Sol two first rounders in
a second when he went from Dolphins to to Houston Raiders,

(07:04):
Khalil Mack to Bears, two first rounders, third and the sixth.
And that's just in the last you know, contemporary NFL history, right,
And that's not even including the players or whatever you
want to call Kenny Clark a third round value. I'm
not here to quibble, but you know he's not a
third round pick because the third round pick will be
twenty one years old.

Speaker 4 (07:24):
Keny Clark is thirty.

Speaker 5 (07:25):
Okay, I don't know how Brandon Bean goes to sleep
last night and says, man, I know I missed on
von Miller. I know that one didn't that that burned me.
But who's gonna chase around Josh Allen? I mean, who's
gonna chase around Patrick Mahomes in the Ale, in the

(07:45):
in the playoffs while Josh Allen's sitting on the sidelines
after he just did some heroic stuff, right, Who's gonna
be the guy?

Speaker 4 (07:53):
All right?

Speaker 5 (07:53):
If I'm seriously, because that's what we've seen from the
Bills in this post, and especially as Josh Allen has
gotten better and better, better and better in his career,
culminating with the MVP award. You may or may not
have felt that he deserved it, but nobody was saying
he was not even having a top three year, all right,
Like that was not even part of the conversation. You
may thought Lamar had a better year, but it was

(08:14):
not to I'm not to blow another man's candle out
to light another one, right, Josh Allen had a hell
of a season last year, and if you had a
little bit of a better defense and converted some of
those touch pushes, then maybe you would have had a
different ending to your season.

Speaker 4 (08:28):
I don't know how he sleeps at night.

Speaker 5 (08:30):
Honestly, if you're one of the two teams in the
AFC that are chasing Mahomes and honestly, if you're the Chiefs,
if I would.

Speaker 4 (08:40):
Be all in on this scenario.

Speaker 5 (08:43):
And it made me wonder because Jerry said there was
some things that he was looking for a defensive tackle
that could come in and play right away. The team
with a lot of cap space, all right, team with
the caps face to pay Micah right, and he ended
up going with the Packers. I feel like I take
Jerry Age's word when he says that, I don't know

(09:05):
if Jerry was doing the running down all the trade scenarios,
but the Cowboys have been in the NFL for too
long to think that we should at least run some
algorithms to see what we could potentially get back from
Michael Parsons, right, So like, I don't think like the
deals came together pretty quickly.

Speaker 4 (09:22):
I think he targeted the Packers.

Speaker 5 (09:24):
Brom if you look go back through those deals that
I just stated Deshaun watching Jamal Adams, Laramie Tunsel, Khalil Matt,
I think that if you outside of Tunsel, potentially every
team that made the trade would rather have their picks back.
Michael Parsons just got paid. He just cleared by far

(09:48):
the cat like him and Jordan Love are gonna take
up so much of the cap going forward for the
Packers in a division like you said with the Lions,
the Vikings who had Kevin o'ca donald made Sam Donald.
We're talking about Sam Donald as a legitimate starting quarterback
in the NFL.

Speaker 4 (10:05):
That was laughed about this time last year.

Speaker 5 (10:07):
Absolutely, and then prior to that he had Kirk Cousins
got hurt and Emmy Obviously Kirk Cousins got her. But
we have seen Kevin O'Connell peach it together with quarterbacks.
I'm not the biggest believer in JJ McCarthy, but I
think Kevin O'Connell is one of the best play callers
in the NFL. I've been told by everybody who has
a microphone on TV that Ben Johnson has restructured, you know,

(10:32):
like NFL offenses, to the point where he's turning down
interviews like I think because it's like if you're Buffalo,
if you're in Kansas City. I don't know if Jerry
even called them, because it takes two teams, as he
said a million times yesterday, it takes two sides to
make a deal. I wonder if he looked at the
Packers said listen, if we're gonna be in the playoffs,

(10:54):
this is the way to get there. We got a
Winter Division. I can't trade Micah in the division. He
said that yesterday. I gotta win the division. If I'm
gonna trade Micah. I'd like for him to be in
in the NFC, because I maybe I don't think he's
worth this big ass contract that he's getting. I would
have gave him the most guaranteed money. But now we're
eight million past that. You know what I'm saying, seven

(11:15):
million past that.

Speaker 3 (11:16):
The only I hear you, the only reason why I
still think that will be a concerning play is because
number one, this same team we're talking about, has beaten
you in the playoffs in the last few you know,
a few times over the last ten fifteen years.

Speaker 4 (11:28):
That's number one.

Speaker 3 (11:28):
Number two also there there, you set it up where
you're going, they could be roadblocks, right, and an organization
that generally is well run. So I don't want to
help a team that never really has dips. That's to
me the thing like you're you're helping a team that's
always nine, ten, eleven, twelve games historically. Now I'm giving

(11:49):
you one of the best players, so you should only
be a minimum where you usually are, if not better.

Speaker 5 (11:54):
All right, but Kelvin a quick counterpoint that I know
you'll agree with, and I.

Speaker 4 (11:59):
Hesitate to interrupt you on your show. No know, this
is your show, so and I know that.

Speaker 5 (12:04):
This is something that the guy who says next to
you would have interrupted, would never have said.

Speaker 4 (12:09):
Okay, but I agree with you.

Speaker 5 (12:11):
Historically the Packers, You're absolutely right, double digit wins historically,
for the last since I have been somebody who's been
knowledgeable about NFL football at a high level, the Packers
have been a double digit win franchise. You know what
else has been true the entirety of that time saved
the last three years, the Lions were a double digit
lost franchise, right, which one of those do you think

(12:33):
will Can has the better chance to continue going forward
because I don't think the.

Speaker 4 (12:37):
Lions are going anywhere.

Speaker 5 (12:39):
No, I don't either, But but it's kind of the
Tom Brady thing where yeah, okay, Tom Brady got to
beat up on the Jets and the Bills the entirety
that he was in the ANFC East, and it didn't
quite matter when they got to the playoffs and got
that one seed because they had clinched their division so early. Well,
there's no there's no Jets in Bills of the Brady

(13:01):
era in this NFC North.

Speaker 3 (13:04):
The difference is again, if we're going like you know how,
people say, I have to go with proven history, and
proven history has been and it pains me to say
this proven history will be on the Packers side, cause
the Lions pop up every now and again. Matthew Stafford
a Megatron had a couple of years when they popped
all right, all right with Jim Caldwell makes the postseason
if you tell, okay, all right, fade away. They had

(13:27):
a few years with Barry nine five ninety best offense.
It was explosive there. The cover of Sports illustrat Okay,
fade away. So history even though it pains me to say,
would say the Packers are gonna be the ones that
continue to be consistent. And I don't think it's necessarily
the next couple of years if the Lions fall off.
But what if the Lions fall off in three years
and the Packers are sitting right there again and they

(13:48):
say this is just what we do, we stay here, Well,
y'all fluctuate. You know what if the Packers, if the
Lions fall off in three years, Jerry Jones, if God
bless you still with this, is sitting up a big
because that means he has gotten all those picks back
and made high draft picks because the Packers were upping
their heads against the made relatively high draft picks because

(14:09):
they're only for the next two season.

Speaker 4 (14:11):
Years, no point uh.

Speaker 5 (14:12):
And the one thing I would challenge you on because
I again I agree with the history of all of this,
and I'm not trying to bet that the sun's going
to rise in the west, right, I'm not trying to
make that prediction. But the one thing that the Packers
had consistently through ott of those double wins double digit
win seasons was a Hall of Fame quarterback. And the

(14:33):
other thing that the Lions had was a pretty terrible coach.
I don't think Dan Campbell, by no metric can you
call him terrible. And also I know by no metric,
is Jordan Love a Hall of Famer nor on track
to be one for that matter, No.

Speaker 3 (14:46):
He's a tract to be I think he has on
track to be a good And I don't know if
I've ever said this with you when you have been
on he to me and at his best can be
the perfect hybrid of Brett and Aaron Aaron. Sometimes part
of his problem was he enjoys It's like when people
love their stats. He enjoys that high efficiency touchdown, the
interception ratio. I ain't trying to mess that up. And

(15:09):
sometimes you got to throw that thing. Sometimes you got
to make the throw with Dag and David Tari, I'm
gonna need you to catch that on your helmet, right,
And Brett Favre would do that, and that's why he
was the gun slinger, and I think that's why he
was naturally more beloved because he would just go for things.
I'm talking about back then, talking about back then, talk
about back then, and I think but that would bite
him in the butt sometimes because he would throw that
interception late. We know that, and I think he Jordan

(15:30):
Love has the potential to be the perfect marriage of
those two. I take the risks sometimes like Brett in
a good way. But I've also a better version of
more refined passer and more athletic like a Aaron Rodgers,
and he can be the hybrid of the two.

Speaker 4 (15:46):
So we'll have to wait and see on that.

Speaker 3 (15:48):
I know there's another quarterback that everybody seems to be
high on, but him and Kim Kay, what do they
have in common?

Speaker 4 (15:56):
Martin's gonna tell you when we're back. It's the odd couple.

Speaker 3 (15:59):

arch man and.

Speaker 4 (17:57):
We had a chance to talk about him throughout the week.
I didn't get a chance talk about him much with you, Martin.

Speaker 3 (18:02):
I want to let you offer this thought on arch
Manning being obviously the biggest talk.

Speaker 4 (18:10):
In fact, me and Rob j have argued about this.

Speaker 3 (18:13):
He wants people to already march for Arch and start
losing on purpose, start taking already. My gosh, can the
NFL season start? But you had an interesting comparison when
it came to arch Manning.

Speaker 5 (18:25):
So Sean King said it earlier today and if you
want to go back and hear that, he said it
about an hour ago, bottom of the last hour.

Speaker 4 (18:34):
If you're going to scroll back on the podcast.

Speaker 5 (18:37):
But how can any respectable draft analyst have arch Manning
as slated right now as the number one overall pick.
There is nothing on tape or on film that shows
that that could be the case at this moment.

Speaker 4 (18:55):
If arch Manning.

Speaker 5 (18:56):
Goes out on Saturday, god forbid and breaks his leg
and is out for the entire season, there's enough out
there for Kyrie Irvin style when he came as a
freshman and only played eleven games at Dukes, to know
that this is the number one overall pick.

Speaker 4 (19:11):
I think not.

Speaker 5 (19:13):
I just can't buy that, And I think what's happening
here is a very close cousin. No pun attended, because
you know the nephew deal of what happened with Shador
and Dion. Shador Sanders was the most popular football player
in college football the last two seasons. I don't think

(19:37):
it's close, like once are the non Caleb Williams edition. Right,
if if you want to go, even if you want
to make that, I'm leaving with you.

Speaker 3 (19:46):
I would argue he was still more popular. Caleb might
have been the obviously the better prospect, but right.

Speaker 5 (19:51):
It might have been the better prospect, better player I'm
not saying that, I'm talking about the most popular right
because and the reason why he was the most popular.
The reason why Shador Sanders was the most popular player
in college football was not because of what he did
at Jackson State. It was because of the noise that
it was arriving with his father and with Dionne Sanders. Now, Shador, however,

(20:14):
you won the Demons College's career, I think he had
a decent one. Like that's not for me to judge
Colorado Aparanal. It was great when they retired to Jersey.
Either way, Arch Manning has a handful of starts right
less a peace sign of starts two, we're three right.
And when he was thrown out there against Georgia after

(20:37):
Sark kind of benched quinn Ewers in the middle of
that game, it wasn't like Arch came in and was
like just wheeling and dealing and.

Speaker 4 (20:45):
Then he like it is phrase that Arch sat.

Speaker 5 (20:49):
Behind quinn Eewers. Are we sure that Arch didn't just
not win the job? And I think those are and
that's fine if he didn't. But instead of talking about
how he is the next thing coming, like Sean King
has said initially, he's going in with a blank slate.

Speaker 4 (21:09):
I'm with him on that. I don't know.

Speaker 5 (21:12):
If arch Manning is supposed to be great because I've
never seen him play.

Speaker 4 (21:16):
And unless you've seen Texas practice, guess what you have
it either. All right, So.

Speaker 3 (21:24):
This is why I hear you, but I don't agree
with the overall premise because I do think seeing him practice.
I do think the prognosticators and the polks who would say,
you know, the elite scouts would say I saw this
when he was fifteen or sixteen. They would say, I've
been seeing this since he was in high school. And

(21:45):
that's what they do when it comes to these young
talented folks. And you can pick the sport, whether it
be MLB. We heard about Bryce Young before he really
was able to get on the scene.

Speaker 4 (21:53):
Let's not even bring up a lebron right.

Speaker 3 (21:55):
Because you're looking at the stature, you're looking at what
they're doing with their competition, and then you prognosticate what
could potentially be as well. And when you look at
what he was doing in high school, obviously one of
the best star five star with the best.

Speaker 4 (22:09):
Quarterbacks in the country.

Speaker 3 (22:11):
You look at his size at six' four, two, whatever
you look at the difference between he and his.

Speaker 4 (22:17):
Uncles they ain't running from.

Speaker 3 (22:19):
Nobody if it was between the race and the, statue
the statue might have a. Chance Between peyton And, eli
now you got a guy who has big time arm,
strength who is maybe won't ultimately be as accurate as
a peton or something like.

Speaker 4 (22:29):
THAT i, mean he is just he was the sheriff
for a.

Speaker 3 (22:31):
Reason but he can sling that, thing and he's, mobile
and he can. Run and we just Had Sean kings
sit up. Here tell me he ain't gonna be like his.
Huncles he was more Like Josh. Allen, well, dang if
you're telling me he's gonna be like THE mvp That
eli never, Was i'm gonna take.

Speaker 5 (22:46):
That that's the Same Sean king that said he's walking
into this thing with a blank slate on Arch. MANNING
i get the point that you're. Making i'm not taking.
AWAY i get that he has the. SIZE i get
that he has the, speed AND i get that These cooper's,
son Not peyton And eli. Son so the boy can
run Because cooper played wide.

Speaker 4 (23:04):
Receiver there's a great wide.

Speaker 5 (23:06):
Receiver, yes, Right SO i get all of, That but
the idea that we know That Arch manning is like
if you want to have a favorite for The heisman
because you Think texas would be really, good all.

Speaker 4 (23:17):
Right i'm not having a big argument with.

Speaker 5 (23:19):
THAT i also think don't think who the favorite at
a certain point in, time and a betting market is
as predictive as people make it out to. Be simply
because somebody is the favorite today does not mean much
for who you. Know go back and look at who
the top five favorites FOR mvp at the start of.

Speaker 4 (23:34):
The year and who they are at the.

Speaker 5 (23:35):
END i know, This Jared golf And Sham darnold weren't
near the top of the list right at the start
of the. Season right at the end of the, season
they both would have finished in the top ten when
you break it all. Down this is my. Point let's
let him do something. First, Now i'm the first to
tell you If Arch manning walks into The horseshoe and

(23:57):
throws a party On Ryan day and The Hio State,
BUCKEYES i will come in here On shaturday with An
Arts MANNING t shirt because he Beat Ohio. State BUT
i am not still about to sit up here and
say that he's gonna be the number one overall pick
because all last YEAR i Said Shador sanders was the
best quarterback in the.

Speaker 4 (24:17):
CLASS i was dead.

Speaker 5 (24:18):
Wrong BUT i had Seen shador play at least twelve
games at a high level and was watching him play
every single, YEAR i mean every single week leading up to.

Speaker 4 (24:26):
It and now AS i watched him Play, BOY i was, Like,
OKAY i think it's gonna be Cam. WARD i think
it's be Cam.

Speaker 5 (24:30):
Ward but like the idea That Arts manning is you're
slated in your number one, spot the idea that if
you if you, project he, said he'll be more Like Josh,
allen he Wool Jeore. Burrow all, right, COOL i get,
that whatever you want to had that, Conversation but today's
the number one overall pick. Today to, me IT'S i
just don't understand.

Speaker 4 (24:47):
It see but they see that.

Speaker 3 (24:48):
Happens that happens at times when We Kayleb williams could
have been a number one, pick you, know the year
he won The hides but he came.

Speaker 4 (24:54):
Back we've done that all.

Speaker 3 (24:56):
But think about, that think about what you just. Said
caleb won The heisman. EXACTLY i hear you on. That
but when they've had this thing locked in their head
that this person is that, guy and let alone the
pedigree in which he comes. With AND i do believe
that matters not so much is simply the, name but the.
Pedigree Because Arch, Manning Archie manning played the, position played

(25:17):
at a high, level was in THE nfl for. Years
it would have been better if he was with another
team other than The Aints. WARS i, KNOW i knew
you were gonna say.

Speaker 4 (25:23):
That my. Bad i'm. Sorry they with The aints, then all?

Speaker 3 (25:25):
Right and then when they telling, you, no, Man i'm telling,
YOU i got another, one my. Son his Name's, peyton
And peyton lives up to. That, no, Man i'm telling,
YOU i got another. One it's my son And ELI
i kind of and they both become number one. Picks
i'm gonna jump on on the, limit say they know
what they're talking about when it comes to the quarterback.
Position and if they're looking at arch and they're, like,

(25:47):
oh he's one of the ones, Again i'm gonna jump
out on the limit and say they seem to know
what they're talking. About if nothing else in the, world
but with the quarterback, position they seem to have that on.
Lock so to, Me i'm looking at what he was
able to do in high, school looking at the, size
looking at the stripp.

Speaker 4 (26:04):
Looking at the.

Speaker 3 (26:05):
Pedigree i'm thinking this is absolutely gonna make. Sense, now
to your, point he's gonna if he comes out and is,
terrible WHICH i don't see that, happening then, yeah we're
gonna have to. Reconsider BUT i absolutely believe he's on the.
TRACK i also don't believe he's coming out next year
BECAUSE i think he has A i think he wants
to have a college. EXPERIENCE i think he wants to

(26:27):
become A Texas longhortan. LEGEND i think he wants to
be cemented and have a couple of years and try
to win a national. Title maybe A heisman comes with.
THAT i think he wants to have the full college.
Experience AND i just got kind of started for a
year AND i left, out SO i don't think he's
not pressed. Either he make nil, money and if he
didn't make a single dag on, dime he was good
financially with the fam and all of, that SO i

(26:48):
fully expect him to play two. Years, PERSONALLY i think
he wants to be a college. Legend look WHAT i
did for a couple of years, starting and you have
to do that in. ORDER i don't think one year
will do it for, him just. Him other guys have
done the one. YEAR i don't think he'll do, that all,
Right Manzi. Milanios right, Now i'm gonna get a set
on what's Trending.

Speaker 4 (27:36):
Right, well enjoy your week being. Here enjoy all, right thank, You.

Speaker 3 (27:40):
Monci it is THE i, Couple Kevin Washington martin weis
in on this funky flash Back. Friday if you got
AKD's a step Back joyce not. Cooperating some days your
body is just like. Nope and on those, days luckily
there is a leave with just one. PEEL a lead
provides up to twelve hours of pain relief so you
can keep.

Speaker 4 (27:56):
Moving use as.

Speaker 3 (27:58):
Directed we got last call here coming up in just
a little bit as.

Speaker 4 (28:01):
Well we got a few more minutes before you have
to break.

Speaker 3 (28:03):
Here, martin The, colts we were talking about them a
little bit earlier about teams that just kind of have
kind of hovered around the last maybe say if you,
say like ten to twelve, years obviously the end of peyton.

Speaker 4 (28:15):
Years they you, know it got rough before he.

Speaker 3 (28:17):
Left they were fortunate to go From peyton greatness to,
boom falling Into andrew luck And, in which was you,
know supposed to be the guy for the next ten fifty,
years obviously cutting, short but had a pretty good run with.

Speaker 4 (28:28):
Him then it's all just been. Rough ever, since.

Speaker 3 (28:30):
It has not been good and they have absolutely the
quarterback position has been.

Speaker 4 (28:36):
Terrible to.

Speaker 3 (28:37):
ME i told the story that they had a, Chance
martin to be THE afc version of The, packers, right
you had, decade you, know however long it ended up
being exactly but all that time With, peyton did you
have a nice run With andrew lucking in him out
to a, ring but really good run With andrew and
you felt good and danget a few have stuck, around who,

(28:58):
knows and they could Have i've fallen right in line
and got the next guy up and, say, man, similarly
with The packers have, done we could have forty years
of great quarterback. Play but instead they jumped out on the.
Limb they Got Anthony. Richardson they did what they haven't
done and go get the sure. Thing they got a,
project and they got a guy who only had thirteen
starts in. College and to, me that set them on

(29:19):
the trajectory of playing less than what they had done
the last twenty five years of so give or take before.
That and now they just made some moves that you
just you don't understand what's going. On you got a
good running, back you've had some weapons here and, there
but they just all of a sudden have become something
that they hadn't been for so long where you don't buy,
it you don't believe.

Speaker 4 (29:39):
It and you don't like the moves that they.

Speaker 3 (29:41):
Make and now again you Got Daniel jones as your starting.

Speaker 4 (29:46):
Quarterback how did we end up?

Speaker 5 (29:48):
Here so you, Know i'll say, This you're, right The
calls have made a lot of moves that haven't made
a lot of sense in the last few. Years, richardson
whatever it had organizational, SUPPORT i though that some of
the cult that some of the scouts in the organization
were very very high on, him so.

Speaker 4 (30:06):
That it publicly as.

Speaker 5 (30:07):
Such but the biggest thing with the cults for me
is the piece that came out in The Washington post,
Yesterday and we didn't talk about it Because Michael parsons
blew all the news out of the water With Jerry
jones and. Everything but the most generous this is a
Massive Washington post. EXPOSE i encourage you all to read,

(30:29):
it and it's very at best, interesting at worst. Malicious
when you look at this story of jim irsay and
the way and really the way he lived his last
few years on, earth it seemed as, if at the,
best the people who were around him And a didn't

(30:50):
want to embarrass him on the way out because he
was having issues with. Drugs he was very public about
his issues with drugs and he had a kicking the
stigma was his his foundation that was started by his
daughters that now own the, team as you, know absorbed
the team in his. Passing but this report states that

(31:11):
there was a doctor that was injecting Jim, irsay a
noted self admitted drug addict with up to ten to
fourteen injections of ketamine a, day and that will kill
a perfectly healthy. PERSON i don't know in the realm
of care how that's a. Possible it the least generous

(31:36):
read of this is this is A Michael jackson two
point zero scenario where people were enabling and people were even, giving,
Essentially AND i am sympathetic to the concept that you
can only take an.

Speaker 4 (31:50):
Addict so far you can only you, know you can
only take an.

Speaker 5 (31:54):
Adult adults are going to make their own decisions every
step of the. Way but it seemed to me that
when people were trying to like take away the pills
From Jim, mercy they were getting. Fired according to this,
thing it's it's a lot to, handle and it would
be less fishy if The indianapolis cults weren't didn't have
that transfer of. Power but, honestly this goes back to

(32:17):
twenty twenty. THREE i remember remember two years ago the
whole running back summit Because Jonathan taylor couldn't get. Paid,
yep that falls in this window of, time and we're
thinking about how look at The jerry negotiations With Michael,
parsons how all that.

Speaker 4 (32:33):
Goes we've said it we danced around.

Speaker 5 (32:35):
It So, jerry you, Know jerry's eighty two years, Old
he's got, this, this, this and. That it's, like, well
what else was going on In coltsland When Jonathan taylor
was up for his? Extension AND i think that that's
a question that The Washington posts, asked and it's one
that if you're not kind of paying attention to, it.

Speaker 4 (32:52):
The idea that this doctor is in.

Speaker 5 (32:54):
Play it reminds me of reading some of the ones
that you hear from the guys, looks the celebrity conci
doctors WHO i, LOOK i didn't go to med school
In north stand at The Holiday Inn express last, Night
but you're telling me you're taking fourteen shots academy. TODAY
i don't. Know that seems to me to be a.

Speaker 4 (33:13):
Lot let me tell you.

Speaker 3 (33:15):
Something when you got a lot of, money you can
get what you. Want you have access to things that
the average person. Doesn't you have, resources and you know
what you also. Have, unfortunately you'll have the person who will, say, yes.

Speaker 4 (33:26):
Sure hey, man CAN i? Know hey? Man CAN i? Know?
Hey you.

Speaker 3 (33:28):
Shouldn't that's not, good that's not. HEALTHY i won't be.
PROVIDED i won't be the one that's feeding you. Death
you keep going down the, line you're gonna find that
doctor to, say.

Speaker 4 (33:36):
Well how much we.

Speaker 3 (33:38):
Talking and, unfortunately when you're dealing with people who have
that disease and who have an, addiction that is.

Speaker 4 (33:44):
Difficult and you mentioned something in this piece.

Speaker 3 (33:46):
Too you had the nurse who was trying to tell them,
no she wouldn't give them the.

Speaker 4 (33:50):
Pills she gets.

Speaker 3 (33:51):
Fired and IT'S i reference that because it's a certain
point when someone makes up their, mind Like i'm locked into.
This it's just gonna, happen whether you ate me in
this or. Not that's where it becomes. Difficult and, unfortunately
you AND i were talking about this a little bit.
Yesterday you bring up To Michael. JACKSON i bring up
With Whitney. Houston you, know you, know you're getting ready
to be at The grammy's neck and the night before you,

(34:12):
know you, drugs using, them you die in a. Bathtub
and this IS i, mean you could just go down
the line of The kirk Cole. BAINS i, mean there
are just so many people who have had issues with
addiction and battles with, addiction and it's just dark because
then it starts to become, well you shouldn't have helped.
Them you shouldn't do, this and maybe that person shouldn't.
Have but if they want, it they're gonna get.

Speaker 4 (34:32):
It you know WHAT i.

Speaker 3 (34:32):
Mean and, so but to the to the tune of
how this plays out, professionally it's. Difficult, listen you AND
i have a rough day at. Home now you're, married
so with the wife or you, know you mentioned earlier
top of the, show got and rest in peace to
your family. Member but let's say she she hadn't passed,
yet but she was dealing with, that and you, know
maybe that's heavy in your. Heart coming to work is,

(34:52):
hard showing up knowing you got all this stuff on
going on that you got to deal, with and if
you're trying to run an organization that you, got you,
know fifty three but even before, that it ain't just
fifty three. Players you're not alone the, organization the front office,
people the, coaches and you're trying to handle that knowing
the owner of the team is dealing with some things
and we're trying to keep it. Secret that stuff can

(35:14):
wail on an, organization for, Sure and it's no wonder
that maybe the personal life trickles down to the organization
and why they haven't been able to be. Successful they had,
been you, know the previous twenty twenty plus, years so
