And I love that. If you get a big one
like that early too, you remember any of it.
Speaker 1 (00:49):
We get that now for you know years, because after
about week one, maybe week two, it starts to be
like Alabama versus Troy, right right, you know what I mean?
I told you it's like Ohio State. It's all law
firms versus Davis and Davis. It's like, all right, I
don't even know who these people are, so it's good
to get some really good games. We're gonna get hopefully
this weekend should be some fun ones. And also, of

(01:34):
your body's just like m on those days.
Speaker 3 (01:36):
Luckily, there's a lead.
Speaker 1 (01:37):
With just one pill of lead provides up to twelve
hours of paying relief, so you can keep moving use
as directed. All right, so let's get to this one.
We got the latest and it wouldn't to be a
day Sports rob chief. We didn't talk about Jerry Jones
and Micah Parsons and so this has just been the
theme of the summer.
Speaker 3 (01:53):
Yesterday you weren't here.
Speaker 1 (01:55):
I was talking with Carrie Rhodes and I essentially said
to me, this was looking like a rollout. And if
you know anything about movies albums, you know you you
put on a whole spill for a couple of weeks
before your thing comes out, the movie, the album released,
and you have all these things playing. We're gonna do this,
We're gonna drop a collapsed song, We're gonna do it,
We're gonna get engaged, We're gonna get We're gonna get engaged.
(02:16):
Or I'm gonna start a fake beef with some of
all these things. That's why people thought Little nas X. Yeah,
a lot of people thought that was a rollout, like,
oh man, he's doing this and the album's gonna drop
watch this week. And I thought that Jerry Jones was
doing this because he got the Big Time America's Team
doc on Netflix, which is great, which it is, by
the way, I can't even actually I told you me
and you were talking and said, man, it makes me
(02:36):
like Jerry Moore, dang it, because you get him more,
you just really get it, whether you like it or not,
what he does you understand, you understand him more better.
And then of course I think that rolls right into
how he's stringing Micah along. But here, here's here's the
thing about this, so we have coach Schottenheimer talked about
(02:57):
he had a conversation with Micah from what happened this
past pre season game where Micah was seen laying on
the trainer's table kind of being a loof, not in
the uniform, not in uniform, not really paying attention. And
he talked to him and said, look, man, I believe
we're gonna figure this thing affully. You know, we spent
about an hour talking. We're gonna we're gonna work this
thing out. But I told him, you know, we still
need you to stay focused. We're gonna bring him in.
(03:18):
And he also mentioned that he probably wouldn't be if
he said, if the season started, you know, he wouldn't
be ready. He wouldn't get all his snaps.
Speaker 3 (03:24):
He's gonna have to go that he expected him to
play week one, but not his full.
Speaker 1 (03:27):
To rev up right exactly, probably seventy percent of the
five percent of the place he'd have to rev them
rev up. Where I'm going with this real quick, rob Gi,
is this Jerry Jones has a luxury being the what
the owner I own this team.
Speaker 3 (03:39):
You you own a house, you get to do what
you want with the house.
Speaker 2 (03:41):
You own.
Speaker 1 (03:42):
Kids them my kids, that we're not doing that. We
arguing that, you know what I mean, When you own something,
you get to do what you want to do.
Speaker 3 (03:46):
Dang it.
Speaker 1 (03:47):
And Jerry Jones has also been this guy, as we've
seen in the documentary Believe it or not, back since
the oil days right then into the ownership of the Cowboys.
And what I mean by that is Jerry is gonna
Jerry and ultimately you can't do it think about it
because he's the owner and subconscious that we can all
kind of expect it.
Speaker 3 (04:03):
So they okay, what it is.
Speaker 1 (04:05):
What it is where this is damaging potentially is because
you got your own coach, Shottenheimer talking about, well, you know,
he might be seventy five play seventy five percent of
the plays, blah blah. Well, if I'm losing my best
player for some plays, dagd, we're gonna need him out there.
And then the long as as goes, maybe that seventy
five goes to fifty percent of the play. Maybe he
(04:25):
just makes missus week one, and so now we lose
our best player that could hurt the team. In a
division where it's gonna be very close, you expect the
Giants to be better. We know the commander should be good,
and we know the Eagles are the raining champ, so
they're fighting uphill battle as is. And it also didn't
need to do any any good for Micah Parsons in
the middle of this because him playing aloof eating popcorn,
(04:45):
hanging out, laying on the training bits.
Speaker 3 (04:47):
I know he's trying to not look at me. I
don't want to be here.
Speaker 1 (04:49):
I'm I'm gonna cause a scene until I'm traded or
even if I don't leave. Just want to show you
how disgruntled I am. The issue with that is that
only looks bad on you, because Mary's Jerry, and we
all know that he ain't going to where he owns
a team. But it can be a bad reflection on you.
Speaker 4 (05:04):
It can.
Speaker 1 (05:04):
We've already heard reports the team. A lot of the
team doesn't look him as a leader anyway. So now
you come back in once this is all worked out,
He say, all right, here we go.
Speaker 3 (05:13):
I'm ready. I'm the leader. No you're not. I don't
like how you was handled this.
Speaker 1 (05:16):
Look at you're handling net you're not viewed favorably with
your teammates, and I just believe the antics from him,
and maybe I understand it because you felt like you're
being played by Jerry Jones. But it's only gonna hurt you,
and the longer this stretch out, the longer could hurt
the team. If he's not at his best, he can't
play this. He only can play half a game. So
I just think all of this is fine for Jerry's
what Jerry does, he's the owner, ultimately won't cost him
(05:37):
a thing, but it could cost the team. And it
could cost Micah in the sense of just losing the
locker room just where guys, because he's putting on an
act right to prove with the Jerry and guys are
just like, man, I'm tired of doing his antics in
the podcast and all of that, and he furthers go down.
It goes down when it comes to leadership and how
he's viewed within his team.
Speaker 5 (05:56):
Yeah, and actually, to your point, one of the things
that was also revealed on Wednesday is that Micaeh Parsons,
despite getting a clean MRI on his back from the team,
flew out of Dallas today to get his second opinion
on his back. And there are people in and around
Dallas around that organization, around the Cowboys. I don't know
if they are with the team or just around the
(06:18):
team in just that area. The assumption is that he's
not going because he really wants a second opinion. He's
going because he wants to get a doctor. Whos gonna say, No,
your back is messed up, and that's why you can't play.
That's why he can still collect his money without actually
having to report to practice and actually do any work.
So that's number one. That right there is a situation
where as a player, I've heard plenty of players say, hey, man,
(06:39):
hold out, do you we get it? I understand, do
what you do get your money. What I've never heard
a player say is hey, fake that injury to make
sure you get your money. That goes against competition at
its core. We are not gonna do that. The difference
between doing what you gotta do for a business sense
and doing what you got to do for a competitive sense,
and what you're doing right there is just not above board.
(06:59):
It's not a good look. It's why so many people
had an issue with James Harden and what he did
to force away out of Houston to force away out
of Brooklyn. That's number one. Number two, and I think
you mentioned this right off the top when he had
an hour long meeting with Brian Schotttheimer. That tells me
he doesn't really want out, because if you really want
it out, you're not talking to anybody. You're like, I'm
gonna show up because I have to, because I'm doing
(07:20):
a hold in, as they say, to make sure I
get my season credit, to make sure I still get paid.
But I'm not participating in a damn thing you want
me to be in meetings. I'll sit there in the
back with my hoodie on because I'm here ready to
get traded. But when you're sitting in there and having
a conversation, not just hey, I'm gonna let you talk
to me. From the way Brian shot Himer said it,
they had a good talk for about an hour about
(07:43):
his role with the team, what he's been doing, their expectations,
what they need from him. Assume he's on the team
this season. If Micah Parsons really won out of Dallas
and he really expected this to go left, there is
no way he is sitting with the head coach for
an hour. So all of this is to say, to
your point, he's kind of trying to make it seem
(08:05):
like he's just scrundled. He's really trying to win this
war of the media or whatever he's trying to do
with him in the PR battle, the PR battle exactly.
But ultimately we all know this is gonna end. Is
gonna end with him signing the richest contract the NFLS
for defensive player back in Dallas, back with Jerry Jones,
and it's almost gonna look like he's the one who
caved exactly.
Speaker 1 (08:25):
You said you wanted out, You erase your boo off
social media, you let your boo the cowboys go, you
scrubbed your history and all that and out again. It
looks like it's gonna be a situation where UK and
again just unfavorably view possibly possibly, I don't know, but
possibly with the teammates who we know, we've talked about it.
Reports are they already questioned your leadership as is. So
(08:47):
we'll see how it all pans out. All right, breaking
out because we had our j Young Fox Sports National

Young on Them Socials.
Speaker 3 (10:52):
RJ.
Speaker 4 (10:52):
What's up man, Hey Fellows, good to see you.
Speaker 3 (10:55):
That's right, you know everybody's excited. Me and Robbie we're talking.
Speaker 1 (10:58):
We got some big time football coming up, and it's
just that season. Man, We're not even We're about a
month away, guys from give or take a month and
a half from the NBA, back hockey, MLB in the
postseason College football NFL like the real sports season for
sports fans. Let's get into these Games's start with the
obvious here, Ohio State, Texas. You got the Ranning National champs.
(11:18):
You got arch Manning finally as a full time starter.
How big is this? You got number one going up
against Ohio State. What are they three right now? I
can't see right now, but what are we expecting from
this game? And maybe even specifically arch Manning?
Speaker 4 (11:33):
Hell, I don't know what to expect from march Manning.
It's really why we're all going to be tuning in
to find out. We know that in two starts he
played really well. Three games he played a lot UTSA
ULM and Mississippi State, but those are not Ohio State.
I find it fascinating that we're talking so much about
arch Manning when there is a guy over at Ohio
State who has not started or played any meaningful football
(11:55):
at all, and I think it's going to be more
about what Julian's saying is or isn't doing for Ohio State.
Were against that Techs defense which has Anthony Hill one
hundred and thirteen tackles, six and a half tackle for Laws,
Colin Simmons, Trey Moore, Michael taff I'll give you this
set and this is fascinating to me. Since twenty ten,
first time starting quarterbacks making their first start against the
(12:18):
number one ranked team in the country are er and sixteen.
And you got to take it the way back to
nineteen eighty four for the last time that a guy
was making his first start and knocked off the number
one ranked team.
Speaker 1 (12:29):
That's a hell of a stat. By the way, his
name ain't Manning. That's why he's not being talking. Your
name is Manning. You know we got to talk about you.
Come on, har Jay.
Speaker 5 (12:36):
Well sticking with that game, I know was talking about
arch Manning and I'm looking at some of these projections.
They're all saying, hey, arch Manning was great, but it
was against bad competition. It's different against Ohio State. It's
different going to be in the shoe. But you mentioned
Julian sand here's the other thing. Ohio State is going
to have a new offensive coordinator and a new defensive coordinator,
and they lost a bunch of guys to the draft.
So this is not last year's Ohio State team, would it.
(12:58):
Are you surprised then that everybody seems to be going
so heavy on the Buckeyes here in the spot, Well.
Speaker 4 (13:04):
Hell, it's not last year's Texas team either. I mean
that was Quinn. You were this team. And as much
as people want to talk noise about what arch Mannonnierser
is and he's backing up a seventh round draft pick
if you want to be mean about it, and you know,
we're not talking we're talking about a manny. We're talking
about a nephew. We're not talking about the son of Archie.
Those guys are done. And as quiet as it is,
kep Archie got four grandchildren. We know about one. I'm
(13:27):
also going to throw this at him like it's as
if we're talking about Brian Hartline hasn't been the wide
receiver coach at Ohio State for the last six years,
where he's been right next to Ryan Day and they're
running the same offense. Now you could talk about bringing
a new defense coordinator, but we're talking about bring him
Matt Patricia and last time Night checked, he's got a
couple of Super Bowl rings on his fingers. So I
don't know what we're doing here when we talk about
(13:49):
what the new coordinators are.
Speaker 1 (13:49):
Going to be.
Speaker 4 (13:50):
And I'll give you one more. The two best players
in the country both play at Ohio State. One of
them is that dude from Earth eight three eight. His
name is Jeremiah Smith. Hello. The other one who is
Caleb Downs. You know Caleb Downs is can he returned
punchs for who turned punts for touchdown?
Speaker 3 (14:04):
Guys.
Speaker 4 (14:05):
That's the closest thing we got to Travis Hunter this
year and they both playedt Ohio State, and the last
SEC team to show up there got be like they
saw something. So I get it right. But let's let's
also remember there are one point dog as the number
one ranked team on the road. I just I'm not
all the way there. When people want to tell me
that Texas is that much better o Ohio State loss
that much, I don't think yeah.
Speaker 3 (14:27):
I mean, I don't know we were telling you, people
were telling you that much.
Speaker 1 (14:29):
I think we're kind of going into this I'll tell
you what, man, the best part about it is you
are fired up for these games every weekend. Let's go
to some other ones we're looking at as well. Let's
you LSU Clemson that's gonna be happening this weekend. What
do you expected in this one? And maybe some some
players that you're looking at.
Speaker 4 (14:46):
Going into Death Valley is really really difficult to get
a W. I mean, this game is being played at Clemson.
I don't think you can underscore that enough. Garrett Nussmeyer
is a Heisman finalist. He should be, at least he
gave him some tools. I think everybody at their wide
receiver room it's going to run for four or better.
And Kayden Durham can run the football, but defensively, Harrold
Perkins got to set the tone they can get to
(15:07):
kay club Nick. Can be a long day for Clemson
in that I'm still I like Clinton in this game,
but it's as much about kay Club Nick as two
guys that played defense for them in TJ. Parker and
Peter Woods. They could both be first round draft picks.
I mean, they got Sammy Brown, what he would have
They got dudes. I expected to be a close game.
But I'm thinking that Clemson can pull this one out.
Speaker 5 (15:26):
You mentioned that you think it's gonna be a close game.
I've talked to a lot of people in Vegas and
around college football, and they are convinced that Clemson is
going to be one of those twelve teams in the playoff.
Do you feel the same way about them twelve teams?
Speaker 4 (15:38):
Yeah, of course. I mean, look, they made it last
year when it wasn't supposed to be their turn, it
was supposed to be Miami Stern. All they had to
do was finish against Syracuse. Davilo knows how to make
it to the playoff. He also knows how to win
in the playoffs. I mean, if we're looking at past history,
it's really difficult to say that Clemson isn't going to
be one of those teams in the way that we
would expect Alabama to be one of those teams. I
don't think it's that big of a stretch to say
that they're going to make a twelve team playoff. Think
(16:00):
is a big stretch. And what I would be curious
about anybody having anything to say about is are they
going to go undefeated? Because maybeat LSU, who's left for them.
What other team do you think is good enough to
beat them? And frankly, Jillie gets the playoffs. I don't
see another team.
Speaker 3 (16:15):
Yeah, I mean Dabo's created it.
Speaker 1 (16:17):
To your point, I mean he's had the defense, looks good,
that we're turning a bunch of starters as well. He
just finds a way to kind of say, hey, hey, hey,
don't forget about Clemson, so we'll see if they'll be
able to kind.
Speaker 5 (16:25):
Of fourteen straight years with nine plus wins.
Speaker 3 (16:28):
Yeah, that's impressive.
Speaker 1 (16:29):
And again, we sometimes almost forget about him to an
extent because we're talking about the next thing or the
hottest thing now.
Speaker 3 (16:35):
But it's like, no, he's had a great run.
Speaker 1 (16:37):
R J Young, Fox Sports national college football analysts our guests.
I want to go to a team that I don't
think the expectations are too high, but more so an
interesting story, and that would be Colorado and they got
Georgia Tech, but more specifically coach Prime obviously having health issues,
so you're dealing with that.
Speaker 3 (16:53):
You know, how much is he coaching?
Speaker 1 (16:54):
He's you know, obviously he's going to give you all
the optimistic and you know, I'm doing fine. Answers and
then now coach without a son, coach went out Travis.
He's had them for a year, a handful of years
down between there and also at Jackson State.
Speaker 3 (17:06):
What do you expect from this team?
Speaker 1 (17:08):
Is it kind of like enjoy the six seven games
you ad because that was the height of it. That's
as good as gonna get.
Speaker 4 (17:16):
I don't don't. I don't know about that. I mean
Nick Saban had hip replacement surgery. He was golfing the
next day. Nobody said anything. I think it's more important
that Prime won to keep it to himself and he
did just that now And as far as like Travis
Hunter not being there, I don't know. Does it seem
to hurt anybody else if they lose the Heisman Trophy
winner each year? Like I just I don't see that
(17:37):
she do or Sandys on than four thousand yards. But
that's also because they ain't got no run game. I
think if they can establish a run which he made
a priority this year with hiring, I don't know. Marshall
Falk to road your running backs, Warren Sapp to coach
defensive line, they ought to be okay, and then Cayden
thawt that they got a real one they got to
do that knows exactly what to do with his legs,
true dual threat. They get some development and wide receiver.
(17:59):
They they will, They're stout on defense. They could win
nine ten games again. And the Big twelve is so
up and down and all over the map that I
think this is going to be a really good test
for them with Georgia Tech, because that was a team
knocked off a couple of top ten teams last year.
And they're gonna run football, They're gonna sill on the football,
They're gonna play great defense. But this game is at
fulsome and fulsom seems to show out when prime is there.
So is this the beginning of a new era? Yeah? Yeah,
(18:23):
I think it is all right.
Speaker 5 (18:24):
Last one for me ar, did they have UNC? We
talked about them a lot here on this show and
they got TCU on Monday on Labor Day or no,
but day four, Labor.
Speaker 3 (18:32):
Day you need Labor Day day is Mighty Day.
Speaker 5 (18:34):
Yes, obviously it's a big talking to point. Everything about
Bill Belichickel has been off the field related nothing about
the actual football team. And that's because the ACC preseason
poll picked the Tar Hills to finish eighth out of
seventeen ACC teams. Do you expect that this tar Hill
team is going to you know, shock the world and
be an upper eschelon ACC team? Are they kind of
(18:57):
right where everyone's expected them to be in the middle
of the back.
Speaker 4 (19:01):
I want Bill Belichick to do in his first two
years what Prime did in his first two years of Colorado.
That's what I want. They go four and eight this year.
I won't be mad at that it was a Texas Christian.
I might be mad at that because Prime was able
to beat that team coming off of, you know, playing
a national championship game, and then the very next year
they win nine games. They got a Heisman Trophy winner,
they got a first round draft pick. If Bill Belichick
(19:22):
can do that in North Carolina, everybody's gonna sing his praises.
But they're paying that man ten million dollars out the
gate and he's gonna start Geo Lopez and parts. I
don't know how good they're gonna be. Man, But look,
if we're talking about this man coming in and winning
at the level that he won the NFL, I think
people got another thing coming. I get it. The NFL
is a different and a better form of football, but
we play a different form of football in college, and frankly,
(19:46):
I'm not sure that he's acclimated. You can't just yell
at kids the way that he would want to yellow
kids in the NFL. I'm gonna be watching how that
sideline performs. They're gonna be watching how he coaches that
team when they're down, and if he can do some
of the things that he was able to do at
the NFL level, like playing with their formations and playing
with how he deploys his offense and defense and where
there not guys go both ways. I'm just not sure
(20:09):
what to expect. So I'm just gonna compare him to
the last guy. They came in with no head coaching
experience in college football and turned into a pretty good coach.
Speaker 1 (20:17):
Yeah, I think the commitment level for me, fellas, I
don't know, like, if he's really there to build a program,
you know, are we gonna look up in a year
two He's like, Ah, now I'm straight, I'm going I'm
gonna write more books.
Speaker 3 (20:28):
Me and my lady, Like, I just don't know the commitment.
Speaker 5 (20:30):
The gold Digger trademarket blowing up gold.
Speaker 1 (20:32):
Yeah, we got T shirts and key chains going crazy
right now, So we're going to pass. Have you been
to our Etsy store? It's going crazy all right, the hearts. Hey,
I appreciate your time, man, thank you so much.
Speaker 4 (20:43):
All right, guys, you have a good one.
Speaker 3 (20:44):
No doubt our j underscore Young. Make sure you give
him a follow there.
Speaker 1 (20:46):
Yeah, I don't know, Bills in for the long ruw
because like Prime is real people, Oh, he ain't gonna
do it long. He's he's been doing this. Now what
are we like gear six give or take five or
something like that.
Speaker 3 (20:56):
Year? Yeah for Prime?
Speaker 1 (20:57):
So minute, you know, I just don't know if Bill
and part of it's not as fault. It's just as
simply the age, right, Like I mean, what am I
gonna go to eighty? And so I just don't I wonder,
And I think was this also a kind of using
college to force the NFL? I look, see, you might
not want me, but somebody does. I'm sure, you know,
And so maybe give it a year and see if
(21:17):
somebody says, all right, I know he's seventy five at
this point, but he's still got two or three years left.
Let's bring him back. Pete Carroll is altering up there,
so I wonder if for a little bit of that.
Speaker 5 (21:26):
And I think Bill's gonna find out real quickly that
in college football, unlike the NFL, or more so than
the NFL, it's much more about or much less about
the ex's and o's and more about jimmys and the jobs.
Because people even now are not convinced that that Ryan
Day is a great football coach.
Speaker 3 (21:42):
He just recruited you.
Speaker 5 (21:43):
But Dama Day can recruit their ass off at Ohio
State and they're gonna have a bunch of five stars
and ninety five percent of people they play with the
play against. They're gonna have a better roster point plan.
Speaker 1 (21:51):
Just right off the bat, and then it becomes a machine.
Right if you're Alabama. Where Alabama we're gonna get the best,
we're Georgia, if we're Ohio State, we're gonna get even
Michigan back kind of back in and were gonna get
the best players and so and b U n C
hasn't had that, so he would have to build that.
And again that's what I'm saying, I don't know if
he's going to be in for the Finally, when you
would build it, say it's year three, is it gonna
be there for year four. You know what I mean, Like,
all right, finally we got what we need.
Speaker 3 (22:13):
Here we go.
Speaker 1 (22:13):
Wait, you're eighty, So I just don't think that. I
don't think that's gonna be happening.
Speaker 3 (22:18):
All right. Uh.
Speaker 1 (22:18):
We touched on something with RJ there with Arch, and
there's a lot of people who are might be trying
to march for Arch. But is that whys We'll tell
you she is Manzi Blano. Since she has what's trending,
she wants a show. Heil tiny biblehead as well. Did
you bring me one?
Speaker 7 (22:38):
I have mine.
Speaker 5 (22:39):
You can see it. I see what you can't touch it.
You can see it.
Speaker 3 (22:42):
You can see it.
Speaker 7 (22:44):
I haven't even open day. Speaking of North Carolina, in
case you missed it, they did announce today that their
transfer Geo Lopez, is going to be their starting quarterback
on Monday against t CU. When it comes to the NFL,
the league suspending Chiefs wide receiver for she Rice for
the first six games of the regular season for violating
the league's personal conduct policy. Ravens havessigned safety Kyle Hamilton
(23:06):
to a four year, one hundred million dollar extension. The
Tins announced that their number one overall pick. Rookie quarterback
cam Ward is one of the seven team captains for
this season. Jaguars receiver and quarterback Travis Hunter, who has
been dealing with an upper body injuries since mid August,
is healthy.
Speaker 5 (23:22):
He is going to play in their.
Speaker 7 (23:23):
Season opener against Carolina on September seventh, and he also
announced not long ago that he is a daddy, So congratulations,
congratulations to the Hunters. When it comes to baseball, the
Twins are on top of the Blue Jays eight to six,
bottom of the seventh inning, Diamondbacks edging the Brewers two
to one bottom of the seventh as well, all Royals
against the White Sox eleven to one, top of the sixth.
(23:44):
The Pirates are edging the Cardinals two to one after
seven innings. You can catch the last couple of innings
on FS one. The Rangers are now on top of
the Angels eleven to one, top of the fit Asstros
of scored first against the Rockies one zero top of
the sixth, and the Reds are on the scoreboard first
again and the Dodgers in LA one zero, top of
the fourth inning. While the Mets completed a three game
(24:05):
sweep of the Phillies, shutting them out. Today six zero
Mariners held on against the Padres for three. Red Sox
top the Orioles three to two, and Carlos Alcaaz has
won his second round match at the US Open in
straight sets.
Speaker 1 (24:19):
Back to you guys, all right, Monzi, thank you so much,
appreciate it. Kevin, wonderful nights, enjoying your little bobblehead or whatever.
Speaker 3 (24:26):
Yes, yes we are.
Speaker 1 (24:29):
We are the couple Kelvin Washington, Rob G's and for
Rope on this worship Wednesday. Achey knees stiff back. You
look by the way, everything I'm read right now is me.
That's why I'm standing up. Yeah, I can tap back.
Is mind your business? I know I brought it to you.
That's not the point, Joyce not cooperating. Some days your
body is just like Kelvin. Get it together and all
those days, Luckily there's a lead with just one pill
(24:51):
a LEI provides up to twelve hours of paying relief
so you can keep moving.
Speaker 3 (24:55):
Use as directed. That's what I'm doing right now, rob G.
Keep moving. Some of us got to figure out a way.
Speaker 5 (25:00):
That you don't need to leave. But in case you did,
know it, we know where to get it.
Speaker 3 (25:03):
To leave me alone right now making fun of me
right now?
Speaker 5 (25:05):
All right?
Speaker 1 (25:05):
You and I wanted to talk a little bit about
this the March for Arch, which, by the way, Arch
himself has said, hey man, his grandfather came out and said, yeah,
you know, all y'all talking about Heisman's and all that
he has to earn. He only played a couple of games,
and you know Arch might stick around. He comes out
and say, yo, gramps. I didn't say that, but he
(25:26):
also didn't say watch watch your mouth. And grants are
like whoa Christmas might not be lit?
Speaker 5 (25:31):
Go sit in your chair.
Speaker 1 (25:32):
Yeah, he was like, hold on now. But I fully
expect I mentioned this yesterday. I fully expect him to
play minimum. I'm hitting you with a minimum this year
and next year, minimally. And the reason I say that,
I'll reiterate some of the things I said yesterday.
Speaker 3 (25:48):
He's just not.
Speaker 1 (25:51):
The guy who's from these dire situations where like I
got to get to the league and save my family.
Speaker 3 (25:55):
Nope, he's from a family that's doing all right.
Speaker 1 (25:59):
And I'll so because I think he's built on legacy,
and I think my uncles and my grandfather left two
of them. My grandfather and my uncle are legends at
Ole miss. My other uncle is a legend at Tennessee.
And I think he wants to build his own legacy
and be the man and be that guy at Texas, right,
and it's a big school, and Texas hasn't really been
that prominent now since Vince Young, really, you know, and
(26:23):
let me get them back on the map. Let me
become long longhorned lure, you know when they bring up
to boy let me tell you when we had arch.
And I think he's gonna enjoy it, by the way,
in Il he's gonna make a boatload of money regardless,
And so I absolutely believe that he's just gonna be
there for a while. I don't think he's gonna come
out unless he has a Joe Burrow like insane run
(26:43):
fifty something touchdowns Heisman maybe even if he doesn't win
the national Timeship, but he gets there, and I think
he's just all right, what else can I do?
Speaker 3 (26:50):
Let me just let me get it on up out
of here.
Speaker 1 (26:52):
But if he's just really good, makes the college fotball playoffs,
maybe he loses, but just has a really good season,
I fully him to come back, and I think teams
will be dumb to be trying to lose for him
this season because I think he's gonna be wasting your time.
Speaker 3 (27:08):
He absolutely is coming back.
Speaker 1 (27:09):
It makes fully sense for him being a manning He's
in no rush, he's in no desire, and I just
to me it fits the mold of him coming back.
Speaker 5 (27:18):
I'll tell you, I think he's coming back. And the
biggest reason is, as you mentioned, his family has. You know,
his bull of his uncles are super Bowl champions, and
his dad's the Hall of Famer, I believe, and they
know probably better than anybody that history says NFL success
starts with a lot of college action, and he's only
(27:39):
started I believe two games game yeah, so far, and
there's some set I gotta look it up again, but
it's like, hey, you have to have started at least
twenty games in college for you to have X amount
of percentage chance of being successful at the next level.
History says guys start one season in college do not
pan out at the next level, and that's totally well taken.
I understand that. So I think that no matter what
(28:00):
he does this season, his uncles and his grandfather can
just say hey, it was good, it was really good.
Here are things you need to work on. The NFL
is not going anywhere. We want to make sure that
your career is twelve to fifteen years not five to
six years, right, because we want to make sure you
go to a right situation. Yah ahada yadam. But let
me tell you, as we talked about with r J. Young,
(28:23):
I believe that when they play Ohio State this weekend
that arch Manning is going to put on a show.
I believe that Texas is gonna beat Ohio State in
the shoe. And a lot of it has to do
with I know that RJ was defending him, your guy,
Matt Patricia aka the pencil. I don't feel comfortable if
I'm an Ohio State fan with the defensive coordinator who
used to have a pencil and a laminated play sheet.
(28:45):
He was my head coat because last night check you
cannot write on a laminated play sheet with.
Speaker 3 (28:49):
Pencil, broh, I was doing that.
Speaker 1 (28:51):
That was when I threw my lion's card away for
about two three years.
Speaker 5 (28:55):
And so I believe that he is going to play
and play well this weekend. I think Texas going to
win that game. And the March for Arch is gonna
be put into overdrive because the rest of the way,
at least, you know, for the short term, they don't
got to play a lot of tough teams. They're gonna
be faired in every single game that they play after
this one, and you're gonna see the buzz build and
(29:16):
build and build and build, and whether or not he
wins the Heisman and whether or not they win the
CHAMPIONSI was gonna be material because people are gonna have
seen enough from a kid who already has the great
gene pool. He already has the size, and now if
he has the season that I expect he's gonna have,
they're gonna be falling over themselves to get to this kid.
And even though I think he's going to stay, there
(29:36):
are two situations that I believe could potentially get him
to leave early and kind of defy his family and
go to the next level. One of them being and
this I don't think is far fetched at all. If
the Cleveland Browns get the number one overall pick Jimmy Haslam,
their owner is again, while connected to the Manning family,
they have a personal relationship, and he could slide right
(29:57):
in immediately and have a structure around him, even though
Cleveland historically is not great for quarterbacks. When you have
a situation where your family is tight with the owner,
which means your family has influence on the owner, which
means we can have some say in how things are
run around here, that's gonna be a big thing. And
number two, this one might be less likely now that
(30:17):
they've switched their quarterback, but if Anthony Richardson was the
quarterback with the Colts, I would say one thousand percent
he could declare because again, Indianapolis has their issues Shane Swicken.
We don't know if he's gonna even be their next season.
But in this scenario, you go to the team that
your uncle built, your uncle's the legend, there's romantic tie
(30:37):
in to you and the Colts, and in this situation
where if Shane Slichen does get fired, you and your family,
because again this is like a pack you deal. You
pick who your next coach is going to be. You
decide who's going to be in charge with molding your
future moving forward. So that's why I believe once he
wins this game, the march for arch is going to
(30:59):
be at the We're in front of every sports fans mind.
Speaker 1 (31:03):
I just don't buy it because I think the more
they hear that he's gonna play, the more they assess
the family and the history of how they handle.
Speaker 3 (31:12):
Things, specifically collegiately.
Speaker 1 (31:14):
I just think teams are gonna be like, dude, he's
not He's not coming out now, So let's focus on
what we can do now, Let's focus on on how
we can win, or we the march for a pick
the other guy, you know what I mean. And I
just think that I don't think teams are gonna overly
invest in that. I like the Colts one more than
the Browns because I think the Browns I know that
(31:35):
they know him and the family has a close relationship,
but also know you how you know your homie and
I know his wild side or I know the things
he doesn't do well or I know the things on
are his strengths. I think that also could burn you,
like no, I know you, brother, But that's exactly why
I don't want him to I know you, So I
think that could that could backfire for Haslim and the
Browns as well.
Speaker 3 (31:53):
But either way, man, it is just amazing that.
Speaker 1 (31:58):
Dude, you got a grandfather who had a good career,
and if he wasn't with the Saints back when they
were the Aints, who knows how much better Archie's career
could have been. You've got two Hall of Fame. Well,
one for sure, obviously hall of Famer. One I don't
think should be in Hall of Fame, but he gonna
get in. You might get in.
Speaker 2 (32:14):
I don't know.
Speaker 4 (32:15):
You know what.
Speaker 1 (32:15):
I used to think that, but you and I have
said here argue with Rob many a times. He thinks
he's the first ballot, which obviously didn't happen.
Speaker 3 (32:24):
Peter Brady twice.
Speaker 1 (32:25):
I'm like, dude, so it's because of two games in
his life he has to be a Hall of Famer. Yes,
dude led the league in interception so many times, never
once with the top three, four or five quarters. How
are you in the Hall of Famer? You were never
one of No, some things should be standing, but they're
not objected. How are you never one of the best.
We never considered you the best, but you're a Hall
of Famer. Scratch my head, manc you or he's Hall
(32:48):
of Famer? How are you never one of the best
at any given point? Do you know why Peyton Manning
was the first bat while he's off there because for
several years, who was the best? You said Peyton Manning?
And maybe if you said Brady at a certain point,
but I know you said one.
Speaker 5 (32:59):
Tell you what during that time they were saying Peyton
Manning way more than Tom Brady.
Speaker 3 (33:02):
I agree, yes, Aaron Rodgers had a run. Who's the
best quarter at?
Speaker 1 (33:06):
Aaron Rodgers, Pat Mitch Pick Mahomes could right now be like, yo,
I'm retiring and we will all be in there because
who's been the best quarterback for the last five, six,
seven years? My point is, how has Eli never been
the best? Was only all pro? Think was never an
all pro?
Speaker 3 (33:20):
And never has it?
Speaker 1 (33:21):
Don't have any MVPs? What makes him a Hall of Famer?
Why can't he just had a good career, Like wow,
you know he had a good career, solid coreer.
Speaker 5 (33:28):
Because the guys who vote on this stuff, again, as
much as Rob would like you to believe differently, they're
not objective. They romanticize everything because they're humans. They cover
these guys. They get to know the person, they get
to know the storylines, and to them, that kind of
stuff matters just as much.
Speaker 1 (33:42):
As that I need some seasons in a row in
a row where you were you know, they only play
sixteen in so you were thirteen and three and a
multiple dude, what's the he literally I think his win
his win and loss is at five hundred. I think
so it's like right around exactly five hundred, maybe one
game over. Like he's the definition of men.
Speaker 5 (34:03):
Okay, so does Eli Manning? Well, quick colon housekeeping. Archie
Manning is not in the football. He's in the college.
Speaker 1 (34:09):
Football No, yes, yeah, I got you. That's number one,
number two he would have been if he won with
the anger.
Speaker 5 (34:15):
Who has a better Hall of Fame resume, Eli Manning
or Philip Rivers.
Speaker 3 (34:22):
It's a great question, and I'm an answer that.
Speaker 1 (34:24):
On the other side, it is the robb g And

not to be married.
Speaker 3 (35:00):
Not right now, I girl. I know my coach is
Erban Meyer, but no I'm not like that.
Speaker 5 (35:04):
Oh God, bless you, thank you.
Speaker 3 (35:07):
He was in there trying to turn water into wine.

Speaker 3 (35:41):
Last came my bad. It's because you. I blame you. You
asked me a great question.
Speaker 1 (35:45):
It's a great tease. Yeah, all right, what was the question?
For those who don't remember.
Speaker 5 (35:49):
So you just finished trashing Eli Manning?
Speaker 1 (35:52):
Did you say trashing or did you say spitting fat
with a cover?
Speaker 4 (35:56):
Shit?
Speaker 3 (35:57):
I get you a cover sheet too.
Speaker 5 (35:58):
All right, it's been in fact about Manning and how
mid he was the definition amid the most mid quarterback.
Speaker 3 (36:03):
The midia is mid and I mean that respectful. Manti
don't pop back up.
Speaker 5 (36:07):
But then I asked, Hi, I'm like, okay, well you
said he's never been the best quarterback. He's has a
losing or five hundred record, throw a lot of interceptions.
Who do you believe has a better Hall of Fame resume?
Eli Manning or Philip Rivers. Philip Rivers is the exact opposite.
He was a pro bowler several years. I think it
was an All Pro at least once. His teams are
winning ten eleven games every single season. He just could
not win in the postseason.
Speaker 1 (36:27):
Here's the problem the Hall of Fame resume. It goes
to nudge to Eli. And here's why the problem with
Philip Rivers. I believe he was a better quarterback. I
believe he had a better regular season career. And I believe, like,
if I'm drafting them and I want to just who
do I want? And give me Philip? Here's the difference.
(36:48):
The problem is because his teams were insanely loaded every year.
Every year they were the sorry Monty Cover years, the
Live City Clippers, they were the second, they were the
secon see he.
Speaker 5 (37:00):
Should celebrate that. Let him finish the point here come.
Speaker 1 (37:03):
When they were the sexy team? How many times did it?
You know, you get your NBA guys, all right, give
me year, but who's gonna win it this year? And
everybody would always go, oh, give me the Clippers for
about a three year run, Give me the Clippers. Give
me a Clippers, because on paper it made sen not
a crazy thing. That was the charges for a himdful
here Sean merrim and, Ladanien Thomlinson, Antonio Gates, Philip Rivers,
Lorenzo Kneel in the fullback laying people out. I mean,
(37:24):
who else? Dam I missing name? It was just insane.
The team was so loaded Sean Merriman year, I said him, yes,
my dog, that's my dog, Quinn Jammer. Quinn Jammer was good.
That that team was insane and all of that, and
they never got it done. And I think the thing
that knock on Philip Rivers is that's how you'll remember
him is, oh, they didn't get it done. Even though
he was a better quarterback, even though the stats are better.
(37:45):
Your first thought is they underachieved. And I think that
hurts him permanently. Is that, oh man, they underachieved because
of the regular season success, right, it would have been
like if Peyton Manning and not that Philip Rivers.
Speaker 3 (37:58):
Peyton Manning.
Speaker 1 (37:58):
But I'm saying, had he never got it donecause remember
he wouldn't have it all the playoff success.
Speaker 3 (38:03):
Peyton and and he didn't even you know, you're doing.
Speaker 1 (38:05):
Like man, he underachieved so clearly as a Hall of Famer,
But man, I wanted more if Peyton hadn't really got
it done, you know what I mean. Yeah, And so
that's why it goes to Eli because he has two rings.
But if you're asking who had the better to meet
his better career, Philip Rivers is just he doesn't have
those rings.
Speaker 5 (38:20):
Yeah, Philip Rivers kind of slipped on it. It's kind
of similar to like a Chris Weber in the NBA,
where Chris Weber was asolutely good enough to win a
champion and win a couple of championships. The problem was
he played in the same conference as Shaq and Kobe
and Philip Rivers played in the same conference, and yeah,
exactly played in the same conference with Peyton Manning and
Tom Brady and Ben Roethlisberger, and it was like, oh, damn.
(38:41):
So as soon as you in the wildcard round, yeah,
one of these guys waiting for you, and you know
they Jordan esque blocked you out the rest of the
guy for making any kind of run. And as much
as I'm a big Aaron Rodgers fan, I'm an Aaron
Rodgers guide to me, he's the best quarterback I've ever seen.
Like he didn't play well in the playoffs either, Eli
Manning during that period. The only guy really had to
(39:03):
go through was Aaron Rodgers. Like they you would say, hey,
he's the one standing in your way. If you can
get by him, you're good. True's maybe for him.
Speaker 1 (39:10):
For how many times did Drew Brees happens naming guys
in the NFC who were you know, they ended up
not matching up, but.
Speaker 5 (39:16):
Right because the only guys who really had playoff success,
you know, extended during that time, we're all in the AFC.
It was Ben, it was Payton, it was Brady. Everybody
else was interchangeable.
Speaker 1 (39:26):
And and but I still go to to be in
the just supposed to be the Hall of Fame, you
have to been one of the absolute best for at
least a five year pier were you were the best,
and you just named a bunch of dudes in the
AFC you would take over Eli exactly. So how is
he one of the best, Manzi and you just named
five or six people that we none of us would
disagree with.
Speaker 3 (39:45):
Better than that.
Speaker 5 (39:45):
I think what's funny about that is even Deon Sanders
has the best ones, Like, hey, if we're all in
the same house, I got to be in they.
Speaker 1 (39:50):
I gotta be in the Yeah, I got to be
in a different the fact that Eli gets to look
at Let's put another person in the giant uniform, Lawrence Taylor,
Like you know, I'm rubbing elbows with you. Hall of
Fame hold on straighthand hey, Lawrence Taylor might be the
greatest football player at period, not positioned, just period.
Speaker 3 (40:06):
And that that's one saying Eli Absen do he was?
Speaker 5 (40:08):
That's why I hope that we get Rod Woodson again
this season for.
Speaker 1 (40:11):
His ros Like, man, if he is in the Hall
of Fame, I'm boycotting he does not belong in the
same he's not. And then then Rob Parker will sit
up here and say, Matthew Stafford shouldn't be when Monty okay,
you say Eli should be answered this question very simple question,
who's the better quarterback Matthew.
Speaker 7 (40:26):
Stafford, Eli, Matthew Stafford, Matthew Stafford, Matthew Stafford.
Speaker 1 (40:31):
But but but Eli should be in so then Matthew
Stafford's in office.
Speaker 5 (40:35):
But you know, you can't tell the story of the
NFL about.
Speaker 3 (40:37):
Eli because of two names, Manning and Brady. But it's true.
