of this hour Tysher's Tower of Trivia Joe Burrow Edition.
It'll be fun as always. Rob has been trying to
lay the groundwork for some shenanigans.

Speaker 3 (01:53):
He's trying to cheat.

Speaker 1 (01:54):
He already is because he's in studio and he can
see Alex through the glass.

Speaker 3 (02:00):
Alex can He already throws.

Speaker 1 (02:02):
Up signs and hints and all types of stuff.

Speaker 3 (02:06):
What are you talking about?

Speaker 1 (02:07):
He's already cheating, And yet I still control the show
and the segment I should say, and yeah.

Speaker 3 (02:16):
It will not help you.

Speaker 4 (02:17):
I'm just fanning myself because it's so cold in here,
so hot.

Speaker 3 (02:21):
I'm just it has nothing to do with with clues.

Speaker 4 (02:24):
And my admiration for Alex is all legitimate and authentic.
And I just say to myself, if I could turn
back the clock thirty years, I would want to be Alex.

Speaker 3 (02:35):
I just would want to be Alex fifty years, thirty years.

Speaker 4 (02:41):
To see Alex Model the MLB bro Te Show. I mean,
what size was that large large cori It's just ripping
out of it muscles everywhere.

Speaker 3 (02:51):
I know it was a small I know it with
a medium, right, all right, Rob, Jeff Tigue.

Speaker 1 (03:00):
You know NBA players, you know they all get on
these podcasts now and they speak their mind.

Speaker 3 (03:06):
Gives us good fighter, that's for darn sure.

Speaker 1 (03:09):
And Jeff Tigue went on, Rob, what was it called
bro schillup?

Speaker 4 (03:14):
Bro?

Speaker 5 (03:14):
Was it?

Speaker 3 (03:15):
What's the podcast called the Brodeaux.

Speaker 1 (03:21):
And Will Show the Brodeaux and Will Show Vodeo do?
And he's he was comparing James Harden and Dwayne Wade
Robb and here's what he said.

Speaker 3 (03:33):
Is he a top five to two guardever? Yes?

Speaker 6 (03:35):
Absolutely, I got him over d Wade. But I'm out
of pocket, Yes you are. But but if you think
about it, when he by himself like d Wade, he
had Shaq, then he had Bron. He ain't never really
been by itself. When Miami was bout exself, they was trash.
I remember joeing them was knocking like killing. They was
gonna even battles Miami versus Atlanta.

Speaker 3 (03:55):
Shout out Brad than them and you know r ip Kobe.

Speaker 7 (03:58):
But I was telling when he when he Freshcott with
the Rockets by himself, Bro, it was different.

Speaker 8 (04:03):
Switch Yeah, And look, I know a lot of people
talk about him now, which is still a All Star
by the way, prom James Harden was.

Speaker 3 (04:13):
Look, he had to.

Speaker 9 (04:14):
Play one of the best teams in your history.

Speaker 3 (04:16):
And if it wasn't for.

Speaker 8 (04:16):
That, James Harden would have probably got to ring in
Houston because they had a perfect team. He averaged thirty
five for like five straight years and how many Sistans
and like.

Speaker 6 (04:26):
Tennyson Bro Nah better than d Wade.

Speaker 3 (04:29):
Bro.

Speaker 9 (04:29):
I'm sorry, Bro, A right tough Bro.

Speaker 1 (04:34):
All right, Look my top four shooting guards of all time,
and I don't include I could include Steph Curry as
a point guard.

Speaker 3 (04:44):
I got Michael.

Speaker 1 (04:44):
Jordan, won, Kobe Bryant, uh, Jerry West three, and then
Dwayne Wade four. I I don't mind Harden if you
want to put him at five. Some people might argue iverson,
but Harden there was a time Rob, not that long ago.

(05:08):
I'm talking about a few years ago where I thought
Harden would pass Dwayne Wade. But in regular season, they're
right in terms, I mean regular season, and it's not
all numbers, but obviously his numbers dwarf Dwayne Wades because
you know, he was the whole offense and he's got

(05:30):
the MVP that Wade never won as far as a
regular season.

Speaker 3 (05:34):
Now, Wade as the finals MVP.

Speaker 1 (05:36):
But Rob, why I put Dwayne Wade ahead of him?
It's just that Dwayne Wade came up big in the
big moments.

Speaker 3 (05:47):
And I get it.

Speaker 1 (05:48):
In two thousand and six, he got a ton of
calls in those finals against the Dallas Mavericks.

Speaker 3 (05:53):
He only had one hundred free throws. I'm just saying
it was. It was, it was. It was ridiculous. It
was right, it was ridiculous. It was was. It was crazy,
but hey, it is what it is. Rob.

Speaker 1 (06:03):
He averaged thirty five points and eight assists in that
series and was the man. Shack was still you know,
Zach was twenty and ten that year, but in that series,
the man was Dwayne Wade. Shack averaged thirteen points ten
rebounds in that series. Route In fact, Antoine Walker was

(06:24):
their second leading scorer. He I mean they were both
him and Shack both at thirteen, but Walker thirteen point
eight Shack thirteen point seven. So and I get it's
not just postseason or just oh he won to ring,
but way won three. Wade carried that team by himself

(06:47):
even when they weren't, you know, before they got the
Big three with Lebron and Bosh. And Harden's done the same,
but it's been so different. And I get that their
stats in the playoffs are similar, but the the fact
that is Wade's stats didn't drop, and if they did
drop in the playoffs, it was because he was with Lebron,
and obviously Lebron was doing.

Speaker 3 (07:08):
Most of the or you know, the number one option.

Speaker 1 (07:11):
And so I just think that, combined with the fact
that Harden, who has it, he's not as quite as
bad as everybody, you know, his reputation in the playoffs
because he has had some big games, but rob in
the biggest moments like the game sixes and sevens for
the most part, or too often, let me say it

(07:33):
that way too often, he has really come up small,
not shot it well, had a ton of turnovers, not
been aggressive, not shot it as much as he should, so.

Speaker 3 (07:46):
Many different things. And I just think with that being
the case, I gotta put Wade ahead of me.

Speaker 4 (07:54):
I just think it's it's almost impossible to put James
Harden despite his regular season numbers because of the failures
in the postseason. One guy's won three championships and the
other guys won zero. It's just I'm just looking at
it from that standpoint. And and then again, it wasn't

(08:14):
all three when Lebron showed up. He had already won
before Lebron showed up, So you got to give him that.
I didn't like that finals. I thought it was outrageous, Chris.
The free throws and the fouls. I mean, I just
that that was one of the worst finals I remember
watching I just couldn't get out.

Speaker 3 (08:31):
I remember covering that.

Speaker 4 (08:32):
Right, we had more free throws than the entire uh
Mavericks team.

Speaker 3 (08:39):
Like, like, I'm looking at the numbers attempted.

Speaker 1 (08:43):
It was ridiculous. Six games, he attempted one hundred and
thirty nine free throw That's crazy, Chris, that's fifteen.

Speaker 3 (08:51):
Wait, I'm sorry, one hundred and thirty nine free throws.

Speaker 1 (08:53):
I'm trying to see, right, what that is? Per game
provided by six Dallas. Rob had a D and fifty five.

Speaker 4 (09:01):
Right, he had the entire team one thirty nine to
one fifty five unheard of for one day.

Speaker 3 (09:10):
That is that? Yeah? That that is ah.

Speaker 10 (09:13):
So yeah, so so the James more than twenty a game.
That's that's Chris, let me, let me am. I looking
at this right, one hundred and thirty. No, I'm sorry,
I'm sorry, I'm sorry. I was looking at field goal
to tips. I was about to say, like, god, it
was ninety seven, but he's.

Speaker 3 (09:29):
Still in six games. That's a lot. That's ninety seven
free throw? What is that a game?

Speaker 1 (09:34):
I mean, that's only fifteen sixteen, that's sixteen a game
free throws a lot per game, per game, sixteen free throw. Look,
he was an attacker, right, he was a slasher. Yeah,
he was a three point shooter. But now it was
it was noticeably like wow, that's that's that's a lot.

Speaker 3 (09:53):
Yeah, that was that was over the top. But that's
My point is just that.

Speaker 4 (09:57):
It's just hard to make a case for hard with
all the disappearing acts and bag games. And I know
he's had some great games as well. I'm not trying
to act like he never had any great games, but
it's just hard for me to really sit there and
and and and say, oh, yeah, James, despite if well,
James Harden would have exactly the same things if if

(10:19):
he was playing well.

Speaker 3 (10:20):
He's been, he's played with that's played with great players, don't.
You can't use that argument. That's the thing. You can't.

Speaker 1 (10:26):
And I get it that when he was with Westbrook
and Durant, they were all young, Okay, fine, But after
that he had Dwight Howard right, that didn't work out.
He had excuse me, Chris Paul, that didn't work out.
He had Russell Westbrook that didn't work out. He had

(10:46):
Durant and Kyrie that didn't work out. Now he's got
EMBIID and he's trying to leave embid. We know it's
not Shaquille O'Neill, but he's he's the one of the
closest things we have in this day and age. He's
MVP in the league and you want to get away
from him.

Speaker 4 (11:05):
Here's some numbers, Chris Ready, So Wade has shot forty
percent or worse in the playoffs in fifty of his
one hundred and seventy seven games. So that's tway, Yeah,
fifty of his one hundred and seventy seven hundred and
seventy seven game that's twenty eight percent of the time
below shot below forty. James Harden has shot forty percent

(11:27):
of worse Chris in the playoffs in sixty six of
his one hundred and sixty games. That's forty one percent,
so way higher than Dwayne Wade.

Speaker 3 (11:38):
Those are just some numbers right.

Speaker 1 (11:40):
There, and Rob, let's speak to him and look, if
somebody's just gonna look at the numbers, Harden's gonna have
better numbers for the most part, right I mean, Rob,
He's just the entire offense and a big time three
point shooter.

Speaker 3 (11:54):
Right WAYE wasn't a three point shooter. Was a different era.

Speaker 1 (11:57):
It really wasn't a weakness that he wasn't won back then,
but it was just a different era and they played differently.
But I agree with you, I mean Harden and Harden
is phenomenal. Like his regular seasons. I said it a
few weeks ago on the show. If it was just
about regular season, Rob, and they'll tell him how high

(12:19):
he would rank. I mean, he's been great, but his
playoff and some of it, Rob is the day and
age we live in where now you know, we see
all the games, we discuss every single game, every single big,
big moment, and so it's the scrutiny obviously is magnified,

(12:41):
and some of that Rob will like, we don't remember really,
and again he didn't have He wasn't like Harden Barkley,
but a Barkley, any of the players of that era.

Speaker 3 (12:53):
We really don't remember their bad playoff games. But Harden's.
He has been so u uncharacteristically either.

Speaker 1 (13:04):
Bad or average in some so many big games that
it really is to a s to some degree, tarnishing
his image a little bit.

Speaker 4 (13:15):
Hard to say a little bit, I think a lot.
I mean in last year was a perfect example, Chris,
wasn't it. He had the Big Game one in Boston,
the Big Game five in Boston, and then disappeared six
and seven. I mean no, right when it when the
rubbery hit the road, he was there, Rob, you got more.

Speaker 1 (13:38):
When it was game one and mb was outlay nobody
and here let's paint the picture. Nobody's expecting anything, Ron,
he had nothing. That was that was an l that
was supposed to be everybody's. You know, it was in Boston.
Nobody's thinking anything. He goes out and he's great, and
then he had what was the game five? He had

(13:59):
another great game I'll give him credit for that, but
I will say this and then Robs, you can get
to the numbers.

Speaker 3 (14:06):
And this is just sometimes.

Speaker 1 (14:08):
But look, at the end of the day, every player
faces not only their skills, how well they play or
poorly they play, but they all get their share of luck,
good or bad.

Speaker 3 (14:19):
And at the end of the day, he controlled it
how he played because he didn't deliver.

Speaker 1 (14:23):
But Rob that team with him and Chris Paul in
twenty eighteen, Man, they had Golden State, You remember that,
That's the thing.

Speaker 3 (14:34):
He had his chance.

Speaker 1 (14:35):
They were up three to two and then Chris Paul
gets hurt, and Okay, you don't expect Harden to take
those guys out, but that that that if they win
that series, who knows what happens against Cleveland.

Speaker 3 (14:49):
I kind of think Cleveland would have beat him.

Speaker 1 (14:50):
But maybe they They played Golden State tougher than Cleveland did,
but maybe that would have been the year. But he
had his chance the next year, Rob two to two,
and what happened, Uh, Durant.

Speaker 3 (15:05):
Gets hurt, so as you and Chris Paul against.

Speaker 1 (15:09):
Stephen Clay and they couldn't deliver. So He's had a
few opportunities and he didn't get it done.

Speaker 3 (15:15):
Rob g real quick numbers.

Speaker 7 (15:17):
Yeah, you were just touching on the most recent James
Harden postseason disappointment in against Boston Right, Games one and
four were actually the two games, not one in five,
one and four or.

Speaker 3 (15:29):
One and four.

Speaker 7 (15:30):
Sorry, three of fifty three shooting sixty two percent.

Speaker 3 (15:33):
He was outstanding. He was tremendous.

Speaker 7 (15:36):
The other five games combined sixteen of sixty three twenty
five percent.

Speaker 3 (15:41):
Wow, you just can't. You can't. You can't have that.
But you can't. You can't ignore it.

Speaker 1 (15:48):
No, no, So I just I'm sorry. I get it hardened.
Phenomenal regular season player. I can't put him ahead of
d Waight because d Waye. Rob wasn't just okay in
the playoff. He got it done. I mean, you can
say what you want about the foules, but he got
it done all right, eight seven, seven ninety nine. On

Bro?

Speaker 3 (18:02):
Thanks?

Speaker 5 (18:03):
Uh? Not much?

Speaker 13 (18:04):
I thought that he has stand you man, I little
worry for a second. W let you go, hey, But
I did I have to meet Chris. I talked bad
about you last week because Rob was coming with hit
us man. He ain't come with the nod couple like
you do, bro Son, expect you step your game up
a little bit.

Speaker 3 (18:22):
There you go.

Speaker 4 (18:24):
I know you arrived, know I Brot I rock with
Chris too. You why why can't why can't you have
some criticism of you once in a week from Salim, Rob.

Speaker 13 (18:38):
Martinis, Martin Wise. He always talking over you. That's what
you're doing about. But anyway, I'm not gonna get on that.
I'm gonna give you that. But I got h I
got d Wade Overhearden all day. Even if you just
give it the eye test. The Wade was a much
better player. He was probably with arguably one of the
top five shooting guards to.

Speaker 5 (18:55):
Ever played the game.

Speaker 13 (18:56):
And he played defense.

Speaker 3 (18:58):
You know, he was a much better defender.

Speaker 13 (19:02):
Good point, and we take a good point to lean
more towards the offensive side. But it's two parts of
that game. And the last thing a lot of people
don't talk about is that if you look at the
hardest lack of impack on decline kind of coincide when
they stop all that offensive flopping, his numbers kind of
went down a little bit because that's how he got
a lot of his points.

Speaker 1 (19:22):
Well yeah, but I look, I give him greater for
being able to draw fouls. I mean, everybody had the
same rules. He was just sharp enough to take advantage
of it. All right, But that's a good point. D Wade,
very good offensive player and much better defensive player than Harden.

Speaker 4 (19:38):
Ron and Alabama, you're on the odd couple of Fox
sports trading.

Speaker 3 (19:41):
What's up?

Speaker 5 (19:42):
Ron ging an odd couple?

Speaker 3 (19:45):
Thank you first time? Where are you in Alabama?

Speaker 5 (19:50):
Tell us gum shoors?

Speaker 3 (19:52):
Okay, go ahead, thank you brother for a.

Speaker 5 (19:56):
Long time first time callers. So if I come off
a little nervous the first time I called any show all.

Speaker 3 (20:02):
I appreciate that. Go ahead, thank you.

Speaker 5 (20:05):
Hey, Look, Dwayne Wade to me is one of the
most overrated NBA players in the history of the NBA.
That championship he won with Shaq and Alonso morning. I
watched that and it turned me off on the NBA
for about five years. And on top of that, right

(20:27):
after that finals, who was who.

Speaker 13 (20:30):
Was the the.

Speaker 5 (20:33):
Referee that got busted for fixing games?

Speaker 6 (20:36):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (20:38):
Done right? No, you know what, let me say this.

Speaker 5 (20:42):
He shot so many free throws during that thing. I
just couldn't stomach it. They stole that from they stole
that from the Mavericks, and I'm a basketball fan from
from way back, and I just could not take it.

Speaker 4 (20:58):
Chris covered that, Ron you want to Chris just said it. Chris,
you covered it. It was ridiculous game. It was ridiculous him,
no doubt about it. Brandon and Seattle, you're on the
odd couple of Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 3 (21:13):
What's up, Brandon?

Speaker 5 (21:15):
Hey, what's up?

Speaker 15 (21:16):
Rob uh Just happy to be on the programs, guys.
I mean you thank her the best, and thank you,
thank you for Yeah, of course, guys, yeah, as far
as I mean, I gotta go with Wade. I mean
even that last call. I watched that finals too, and
it was they couldn't guard her. He's just too fast
at that time, you know six, he's too fast.

Speaker 3 (21:36):
But it was just too many free throws. He was
a slash.

Speaker 1 (21:41):
They did really guard. I mean, it was it was,
it was. It was a bit much, yes, but he did.

Speaker 3 (21:48):
That's what he did.

Speaker 15 (21:49):
You take the three point line away. I think Wade
beating him one on one. I think Wade's better at
more as aspects of the game than Harden is. He's
a better winner, he's a better defender, he's long, bigger hands,
can just control the ball better. Not the best ball hitdler,
but more athletic with Marden.

Speaker 1 (22:07):
More of a playmaker, no doubt, Like you know, a
point guard.

Speaker 3 (22:11):
He was a better point guard man.

Speaker 4 (22:12):
When Harden is on and he's looking for people Chris
and passing the ball, he's good.

Speaker 1 (22:17):
I don't think it's absurd to say hardens, but I
just think because as Ralph said, with the postseason troubles
that Harden's had and then the fact that Wade was
great in the postseason, it just tips the scales. They
just that's that's really what it boils, no doubt.

Speaker 4 (22:35):
Let's let's squeeze in yep com he squeeze and drew
real quick in Denver. You're on the odd couple of
Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 3 (22:41):
What's up, Drew?

Speaker 2 (22:44):
Hey?

Speaker 16 (22:44):
I feel like so I feel like James Carden could
have been the better player, like in the long run
if he just like I feel like he didn't put
everything he had in basketball, and I feel like Dwayne
Wade did. Like that's what you know. He had bad knees,
he was always he was injured for a long time
at one point. I just feel like Jaane Pardon didn't

(23:05):
put all he put it he could have into the
NBA and way did. So That's what I'm thinking, way
over all right, No, all right?

Speaker 3 (23:13):
Saw dog get that well? Tyson's Tower of Trivia's around
the corner. First.

Speaker 2 (23:17):

Speaker 9 (23:47):

Speaker 3 (23:49):
It looks good.

Speaker 9 (23:49):
I appreciate you.

Speaker 15 (23:50):
