(00:57):
Padres top of the second in San Diego Go and
uh Fernando Tattis Junior with the two run bomb to
give the Padres the early lead.

Speaker 4 (01:07):
A case you.

Speaker 3 (01:10):
Uh, the Tigers one on the road, the better one
on the road and the Kansas City Royals all won.
So the road team has won the first three Baseball
wild Card games.

Speaker 1 (01:22):
And here's the Braves trying to brain see what they
can do. Uh, what was your shekel city? What's you
having this one? So I did? I lost on the
first two?

Speaker 3 (01:33):
I think thee Yeah, thanks Alice?

Speaker 4 (01:37):
So Rob what we now?

Speaker 3 (01:38):
So now right now, I'm even. So if the Padres win,
then I'll be one game up.

Speaker 4 (01:43):
I'm even. I'm twenty. The brain's about to win. What
I gotta kind of stay above water water man if
I give it up?

Speaker 3 (01:53):
If this is the case, man, uh so, so let's
you know, the NBA is coming quickly talking about it
really was the NFL. We're already into week five coming up.
It's unbelievable how stuff is just you know, going by
time is flying for sure.

Speaker 5 (02:11):
Man.

Speaker 4 (02:11):
But but the NBA, you were there, Let's talk about
a little bit.

Speaker 3 (02:15):
So you were at the Lakers media day and had
some conversations and stuff.

Speaker 1 (02:19):
Yeah, man, I mean obviously me you a little just
take it. I'll give you a brief overview. So of
course media day is big, but it's I think we
all are experiencing us in our life in multiple ways.

Speaker 4 (02:30):
Like COVID changed the game a little bit.

Speaker 1 (02:32):
So let's say it's a third of what it used
to be as far as people there and all of that,
but folks are obviously excited about what's going to be.
The players are there and they're kind of like, let
me get over this obligatory what I have to do.
Lebron look great, ain't never got to worry about that,
in great shape. And it was really cool to see
everybody was running around to see he and Brownie have interactions.

(02:53):
And one thing I appreciated about it rob to be serious.
That Lebron embraced it. He didn't try to play too cool.
He didn't try to like, I'm not gonna son my son.
You know, I'm not gonna embarrass him. He fully embraced that, Wow,
I'm playing with my son. My son is sitting next
to me here getting these interviews. Bronnie fully embraced like, man,
it says kind of crazy, I'm playing with my dad.

Speaker 4 (03:15):
So I thought that was really cool.

Speaker 1 (03:16):
They didn't try to downplay the significance of this for
them personally, just straight up personally, not what I think
you think media will think, even the Lakers. That was
really cool. And after that they didn't have a bunch
of big trades. As Mark Funky Comedina joined us, they
didn't have it like there wasn't the new play. They
didn't have a carl and D Towns or Andrew Wiggins
or something where he said, oh, we get to talk
to him. For the most part, it was the same team,

(03:36):
same group. They're gonna run it back. So and then
JJ Reddick, that's the last point I'll make JJ. Look
JJ from all the council. What I hear is very
very serious, very focused, very driven even as a personality
as a podcaster, as you know all of what he does,
and you can kind of just tell seeing who walk
around he's taking this very seriously.

Speaker 3 (03:59):
Well, but my only issue here is that sounds cool.
But Darvin ham took the team to the Western Conference
finals and one an in season tournament which they hung
a banner, and they still ran him out of town.

Speaker 4 (04:12):
You know, I hear it.

Speaker 3 (04:13):
You're saying they shouldn't have No I'm just saying the
JJ Reddick and all this, I don't know what else.
Darvin the Western Conference finals, right, and they won an
end season tournament. He lost the team all and all
I'm saying is everybody's rolling out the red carpet that
JJ Reddick is the next you think something I don't.

Speaker 4 (04:30):
Think some do. I don't think I think people are saying, huh.

Speaker 3 (04:32):
I think there's a lot of people who, you know,
something new that's untested and you don't know about.

Speaker 4 (04:38):
You know, you're gonna give the benefit of the doubt.

Speaker 3 (04:40):
Oh well, it must be laud Lebron wanted them, and
that's Lebron's guy, and they were doing the podcast.

Speaker 1 (04:45):
I thought I heard the opposite. I thought that's what
people were saying. Why is Lebron getting this autonomy? Why
is he getting to pick his guy who we like JJ,
He's really really good at broadcasting podcasting.

Speaker 4 (04:55):
It's why is he getting this opportunity.

Speaker 3 (04:56):
It's weird that an organization like the Lakers would would
you know, would hire a coach a guy who's never
been a coach.

Speaker 1 (05:04):
They go back to this is going back to pat
Riley as assistant coach.

Speaker 3 (05:09):
Pat Riley took over a championship caliber team right like
every day Dad won.

Speaker 1 (05:14):
The championship year before. What I'm saying is, I just
think it's a little different than a team. They're looking
at him as the net like he can be this young,
energetic guy that can come in and lead this group.

Speaker 4 (05:27):
That's what I think they're looking at.

Speaker 1 (05:28):
It also, they're trying to find something different, like, hey,
I think he wowed them and would have wild other people.
And I obviously understand the apprehension. Right he's never coached, period,
not like he hasn't coached, but he's a great college
never coached period. I think he's wowing people in the
room where maybe Darvin Ham didn't with necessarily the exes
and O's listen, I rooted for Darverham. He's from Michigan,

(05:51):
from Saginaw. Shout out to him and everything. But I
watch every Laker game. I'm here, you know where I work.
You never got the sense of like he put his
imprint on this team. But I'm saying he got the results, though,
is what I'm saying.

Speaker 3 (06:06):
Western in a matter of six months, Western Conference Finals,
which nobody thought they were going to that, and they
won the nd season tournament, which they made a big
deal about because they hung the banner.

Speaker 4 (06:18):
Wasn't like, oh, there's no.

Speaker 3 (06:19):
Big deal, No, they they made it like it was
a big deal.

Speaker 4 (06:22):
You might as well because three months later he's got
to get out of here, I say, because you can tell.

Speaker 1 (06:28):
Listen, you see Anthony Davis walk by him, just kind
of like and he lost he lost the rotations where
and that's why JJ Reddick suddenly took a shot in
that they asked already, and he said, yeah, I got
my starting five already, and you're like, wait, starting five already?
Who announces a starting five before training can't even started
before they really started practicing. Because he was saying it

(06:48):
was a slight jab at Darwin in the sense of saying,
this starting lineup with twenty three and ten, why did
you wait so long to play the start lineup? You
see it's working, you see it's productive, you see it's
getting numbers and wins. So I think he was taking
a shot saying, I'm gonna play this number game. I'm
gonna play these analytics. I'm gonna do what works instead
of tinkering.

Speaker 4 (07:06):
And I went to the.

Speaker 3 (07:07):
Houston Conference Finals and winning the nd season tournament. That
that didn't work.

Speaker 1 (07:11):
First of all, you already made fun of n C turn,
isn't he But I'm trying to act like.

Speaker 3 (07:15):
It's a big deal now they hung it up. I
don't think it's that big of a deal. I'm just
saying that sounds good. But I'm gonna wait, and.

Speaker 1 (07:24):
I always wait. You don't get anybody. Nobody's saying, no way,
I don't know what JJ Reddick is.

Speaker 4 (07:29):
Nobody knows.

Speaker 1 (07:29):
I'm always gonna wait. JJ don't even know what JJ is.
I'm just telling you that the man looks serious. You
took it there. All I was saying was the man
you can tell is by what we're hearing crazy about.

Speaker 4 (07:40):
No one's crazy about Phil on the season.

Speaker 1 (07:42):
Well, they absolutely would not be on an impossibility.

Speaker 3 (07:46):
Okay, all right, rob g I want to hear Lebron
and uh, the question right?

Speaker 4 (07:51):
That was asked to Lebron, And this is what Lauren
Jones shout out to her. She asked the question friend of.

Speaker 6 (07:57):
The show, right, we'll call it for the show lo
Joe soolow Joe. Lakers had their first practice since Media
Day and this was the first time that media was
allowed to come in after practice.

Speaker 7 (08:08):
Ask the questions where they always do five quick minutes?

Speaker 4 (08:10):
What have you?

Speaker 7 (08:12):
And Lojo correct? Asked Lebron if he felt entering into
this what is twenty second season in the NBA, if
he still feel like he had anything to accomplish in
the league, Hey, listen, anything left to accomplish?

Speaker 4 (08:27):
I mean, he's pretty much checked the boxes there that
for me, accomplished everything else next to credit. I'll take it.
I'll take it.

Speaker 2 (08:38):
I love it.

Speaker 4 (08:39):
I love what I do. I got everything. Lebron changed,
He's got everything.

Speaker 3 (08:45):
So this season winning a championship that's not something to accomplish.
I mean, I get it. I'm just saying that he
hasn't accomplished a lot. But but why are you playing that?
Is it just for pictures with you and your son
with the same uniform more, or you're trying to win
another championship. What I have to accomplish is to win
this fine organization which did me a solid, put my team,

(09:08):
mysell a solid.

Speaker 4 (09:10):
What do you do for them back? No, he did
him a solid by taking a.

Speaker 3 (09:14):
Son who anybody, any other kid without that name Kelvin
would not be drafted.

Speaker 4 (09:19):
By the Lakers. Okay, okay, go ahead.

Speaker 3 (09:22):
Nobody else averaging five points for a bad USC team
is getting drafted.

Speaker 4 (09:28):
No argument.

Speaker 3 (09:29):
I'm not saying that he couldn't have been a free
agent and signed and worked. That's not what I'm saying.
Or he didn't deserve a chance opportunity. That's the solid
they did so that they could do something for Lebron.
I'm just saying that if I'm a Laker fan, I
want to hear that winning a championship for this organization
is what I have left to accomplish. I want to

(09:49):
win a championship every year that I continue to play
in this league. That's what I want. Not I don't
have anything to accomplish.

Speaker 1 (09:57):
I've done everything, Rob Parker, The question was, do you
feel you have anything left to accomplish? The question wasn't
what are your goals for the season. She's asking him
in a historical context. You've played twenty two winners, many games,
one championship, But that wasn't your question. No, but that
doesn't have to be my accomplishment. That's what y'all want,

(10:17):
that's what he wants. How you gonna tell that man
what he wants? She asked me. The question was, and
you're mixing up one and what he has left to accomplish? Literally,
the man has nothing. He's he has the scoring leader. Which,
by the way, what's the first thing they ask him?
They show what they asked him in two thousand and three,
They said, what do you how do you define your game?
And he said, I'm a passer. I'm a distribute. I
get guys going. So this man, as we all know,

(10:39):
passing has been his main thing. Yet he's an all
time leading scorer. He has four rings, four MVPs. Should
have been at least eight, but that's the story for
another day. And he led the Laker organization to a ring,
led Cleveland to a ring, led Miami to a couple
of rings. Not the man that got his son in
the NBA set and had a media day with his son.
What else is there left for his been an ambassador

(11:01):
for the game, He has been a champion for social
commentary and political things. The question was is there anything
less for you to accomplish? Not what is your goal
for the season?

Speaker 4 (11:10):
No, no, it's not what do you have anything left
to accomplish? Sure?

Speaker 3 (11:16):
I want to win two more championships. I want to
win a championship every year I played for the Lakers.
He was going, that's the cherry on top of it.
Was referring to that. But that's the thing that he
still could have said. It just sounded like I've done everything.

Speaker 4 (11:29):
I don't know. I'm just here, Rob, what I want you?

Speaker 1 (11:32):
Let me ask you this, have you ever in your
life had the question is Lebron gonna be mentally prepared,
physically prepared and gonna give it?

Speaker 4 (11:39):
Is all.

Speaker 1 (11:40):
No, we know absolutely for something that he's about to
come and bring it. He's about to be the absolute
best version of himself. He's an amazing shape. I just
was with the guy yesterday and he was going to
have high expectation for his teammates. We already know what
he is mentally to the game, and that's why we
don't have to worry about that.

Speaker 4 (11:59):
So the given is he's trying to win a championship.

Speaker 3 (12:01):
Yeah, but the given is you could always still say that,
and when someone asks you about what you're gonna do
or what you want to do or is there anything left?
I just I think that my first thing is I
play basketball to win a championship.

Speaker 4 (12:16):
So is there something less to accomplish?

Speaker 3 (12:19):
Sure there is to win another championship for this city,
for this organization, for this franchise, whatever you want to say.

Speaker 4 (12:28):
Sure there is.

Speaker 3 (12:29):
Maybe not for you personally because you've already won, but
there's gotta be.

Speaker 4 (12:34):
That's why I play.

Speaker 3 (12:36):
I play for the people in the city and all
this other stuff that comes on it just sounds.

Speaker 1 (12:41):
Like this, Why I'm glad you said this? You know
why you know what you played Alex earlier, not two,
not through that whole thing.

Speaker 4 (12:48):
See, this is.

Speaker 1 (12:49):
Why sound bites fool and semantics, because if he says
this for the rest of his career, Oh, I thought
he was gonna win three, four five in Miami. I
thought he was gonna win three five. But then he
doesn't say, bring up championships. Why you ain't saying you
want to win championships. Why you ain't saying you want
to winship?

Speaker 4 (13:06):
Why did he say that? In my that was a
pep rally, a freaking pep rally. He was dead serious.
He really believed, literally was at a pet rally going
with the fans of Miami.

Speaker 3 (13:16):
Havn't Alex says, I'm serious, not five, not six.

Speaker 4 (13:27):
A talking about just up here blowing smoking the fans,
because that's not what I'm that what he wanted to do.
He's he's getting his fans recided.

Speaker 3 (13:37):
No, and you know what, they failed in Miami and
they don't even want NFL.

Speaker 1 (13:41):
They only go to four straight championships, to go to
four finals, win a couple and not an fil.

Speaker 4 (13:47):
Failed in Miami. That team put together. They were supposed
to be.

Speaker 1 (13:50):
The only one they failed was Dallas. They weren't beating
that first team. They was on the revenge. That was
the beat.

Speaker 4 (13:54):
Uh. Your boy Kawhi was on his way.

Speaker 1 (13:57):
They got the last bit of juice in that lemon
from Park Jenobili and Tim Duncan.

Speaker 4 (14:02):
I've done with you man seven.

Speaker 1 (14:03):
You don't want to play the Samantas game eight seven seven?

Speaker 2 (14:07):
No?

Speaker 3 (14:07):
Fox, Hey, you don't know what's that man? Man nine
six sixty three sixty nine. Do you agree with Lebron
when he says he has nothing left to accomplish in
the NBA?

Speaker 1 (14:17):
Uh?

Speaker 4 (14:17):
It is the odd couple.

Speaker 3 (14:18):
Will continue that conversation next with you on a trash
talking Tuesday. Rob Parker and sedentary. Uh, life is good
and he don't need anything else to do. Kelvin Washington
there right here on Fox wor not three, not five? Hey,
you got anything to accomplish? No, I just want to
sit next to Rob Parker for the next nine years

(14:40):
to make money.

Speaker 4 (14:41):
I want to win a ratings. I want to be
the best evening show in sports talk. Rad ask me
that's when I'm sixty seven, stick and stay. You got it. Alex,
you know what I'm talking about, Rob, Tell the people
come on stop. Oh we still go it? Yeah, listen, listen.
When I'm sixty.

Speaker 1 (14:57):
Seven, I might not have nothing, knows to Guy everything
else on Cherio Top every day.

Speaker 4 (15:03):
I've been on the radio for thirty years, and respect
on that.

Speaker 3 (15:06):
I still want to beat the best every freaking time.

Speaker 4 (15:10):
I quit wire onto the best. You don't be pray.
I gotta carry this day clock in the mike. All
gotta break while we're still here, add couple. You know what, Rob,
what Lebron should have just said was nobody got time
for day facts.

Speaker 5 (15:26):

Speaker 1 (15:39):
Listen, Man, you gotta get away from these viral hits.
You have it and I head the rest of the day,
Alex relaxed Fox Sports.

Speaker 4 (15:44):
Let me tell you something.

Speaker 2 (15:45):
That's reason why they hate TikTok because my boy Tommy
on top because of it.

Speaker 1 (15:48):
No, he has taken over What is this Z one
hundred of Fox Sports Radio?

Speaker 4 (15:52):
Can you just stick to the seventies and older shows? Please?

Speaker 1 (15:55):
First of all, this is on everything you look at
on on instagrammer Tad.

Speaker 4 (15:59):
We try to get a young audience out here. I
want guys that have at least fifty one in over.

Speaker 1 (16:05):
Yeah, that's exactly what you want, tell you, so they
can argue to you about Mickey Manno, don't nobody want
to hear that already mentioned? No, Mickey Mann on you
and Steve getting the worst combination. You know it ain't
peanut butter and jelly because that goes together, you and
Steve the Sega. I gotta break that thing up because
y'all would get to going back. No, No, I'm telling
you you got Big Red Machine and Mickey manno backing

(16:27):
in the yigging.

Speaker 4 (16:28):
They mentioned the wheel, break it up.

Speaker 1 (16:30):
Nobody want to hear y'all talking about Babe Ruth, Fox
Sports Radio, the Odd Couple, Rod Parker, Kevin Washington on
the trash talking uh Tuesday, and we've been talking some
smack too about Lebron. Clearly we have different opinions on this.
We'll get to some more of that in just a bit.
Coming to you live from the Tireck dot Com Studios
our thanks to Rappid Radios, the official communication device of

(16:51):
Fox Sports Radio, wrapping radios or instant push to talk
walkie talkies with National LTE covers for a limited time,

free protection back at code Radio and get an extra
five percent off.

Speaker 4 (17:08):
Rob all right eighty seven seven nine nine on Fox.

Speaker 1 (17:10):
Basically Lebron being asked is there anything twenty two years
in anything left to accomplish? He said no, I've done
at all, nothing else to accomplish, and he says.

Speaker 4 (17:20):
Everything else is the cherry on top. You disagree? I agree?
What we got?

Speaker 3 (17:23):
Scott in North Carolina? Your first up? You're on the
odd couple of Fox Sports Radio. What's up, Scott?

Speaker 8 (17:29):
What's up? My guys? How you'll done?

Speaker 4 (17:30):
What's up? Shot man?

Speaker 6 (17:33):
Yes?

Speaker 8 (17:33):
I mean I feel like if Lebron coming off as
I don't have to accomplish anything, then you should just
go ahead and retire. I mean, when you step on
the court, when you put that jersey on, we want
max effort, and we want max effort to compete for
a championship. I mean, the Lakers aren't my team, but uh,
if a player on my team said that, I don't
think they're they're they're Scott. When Scott, let me ask

(17:55):
you something, Scott, Lebron, Scott, let me ask you something.

Speaker 1 (17:59):
You've been watching basketball a long time, I'm sure, especially
in North Carolina.

Speaker 4 (18:02):
I love y'all, y'all, love y'all hoops.

Speaker 1 (18:04):
When have you ever in your life question that Lebron
James wasn't playing hard, wasn't gonna be in shade, wasn't
going to bring it.

Speaker 4 (18:09):
It wasn't trying to win it. That's not that's not
that what it is about what that's my question? He
is prepared to win.

Speaker 8 (18:16):
I questioned his job to win sometimes I do?

Speaker 1 (18:20):
Okay, well completely on that. I haven't seen the man.
To see the man go to ten eleven finals and.

Speaker 3 (18:29):
The only way they make the playoffs is to play
in and they have Anthony Davis on the team.

Speaker 4 (18:32):
Wait, don't go back.

Speaker 1 (18:33):
On that, because you just told me they made it
to the Western Conference finals two years ago.

Speaker 4 (18:36):
So what is it they making it to the Western
Commerce finals? Get there? They got to do playing that?
Nig didn't they do the play in rob g because
they did a bunch of andres.

Speaker 1 (18:45):
The man I've never had the question if Lebron Jays
wanted to go to final, because I've seen him drag
three different franchises to the NBA Finals.

Speaker 3 (18:52):
What are we talking about? Andre in Massachusetts? You're on
the couple of Fox Sports Radio. What's up, Drake?

Speaker 9 (18:58):
Yeah, how you doing?

Speaker 10 (19:00):
Thanks for taking the call. He's dragged three different UH
teams to to the NBA Finals, but still he only
has four rings, which is the same as Steph Curry
and one less than Kobe Bryant, Michael Jordan, you know,
and so this is really the ultimate deflection. That's the reason. Frankly,
he's four and six in those NBA Finals. When it
comes time to look to take the bull by the

(19:22):
horns and have that eye of the tiger, Lebron James
throughout his career hasn't had it. And what he's saying
right now, he's setting this up. I don't have to
compete you. It's okay for me to be in the
play in, to have my son play with me, to
get all the media of the publicity.

Speaker 8 (19:37):
His brand is going.

Speaker 10 (19:38):
To be doing very well. He's going to get all
of these, as you say, rob empty calorie points and
he's going to score, you know, but he's not gonna
do anything substantive in terms of legacy. Steph Curry could
get another championship and he's still I mean, they're not
the favorite, but he could still get another championship, which
would mean one more than Lebron. This is the conversation
he needs.

Speaker 4 (19:56):
To Hey, you know what I have to accomplish it.

Speaker 1 (20:02):
I want to have more rings and stuff, Curry, I
want that's what you want to say. Oh, I'm here
to win a champion you so so to remember you
have to remember the context of the question. You've been
here twenty two years in do you feel you have
anything left to accomplish? That was a question I want
to not no hold on the question wasn't Lebron? What
are you trying to do this season? That's two different questions.

(20:23):
If somebody asked you a legacy long time question, that's different.
You've already talked about the many things that you've done
in your career. Robin, you say, Man, if this is
not if I don't do anything else, not do you
want to kick? But in radio me and you do
radio it every day. I ask two different things. I
don't question do you want to bring the best radio show.
But if I asked you had this illustrious career, that's

(20:43):
do I'm more to do.

Speaker 4 (20:44):
I'm not done. That's why I'm still doing it.

Speaker 3 (20:46):
I mean like that, that is, if you want to
ask me that do you have anything left to accomplish?

Speaker 4 (20:52):
I'm still here, so that I ask you that clearly,
I'm asking you a question through my face. But I'm
but the same thing with Lebron.

Speaker 3 (20:58):
I'm still I'm here to play and when a championship
for this city, for this organ ahead. Uh, Jeff in Virginia,
you're on the odd couple of Fox Sports Radio. What's up, Jeff?

Speaker 9 (21:08):
Oh, thank you so much for getting on his You're hitting,
you're batting four hundred.

Speaker 4 (21:15):
Thank you, Tony Gwyn You know, hey.

Speaker 9 (21:17):
Rob, Rob, I mean he's setting this up for his
weak mental state.

Speaker 10 (21:23):
His whole twenty two years.

Speaker 11 (21:25):
He has quick he has never been able.

Speaker 9 (21:28):
To stand up when the absolute access that he is required.
He's went in his way to say, hey, look, why
would you even put on a Lakers jersey and tell
those fans And I'm just.

Speaker 1 (21:42):
Here for the rast, Jeff, Jeff, hold on way, So Jeff,
he goes down three one and wins that wabbers, he
drags Booby Gibson. Booby Gibson, you ain't heard from him
said to the finals and all of a sudden.

Speaker 9 (21:53):
Listen, I don't care about that.

Speaker 11 (21:55):
What I'm saying is, this is the same.

Speaker 9 (21:57):
Guy that took his jersey out.

Speaker 8 (22:00):
When the game was over Dallas in the fight.

Speaker 9 (22:03):
This is the same cat.

Speaker 1 (22:05):
You mixed up all types of stuff you're talking about
with this. You're talking about when he was with Cleveland,
with the Celtics, when he knew he was leaving Cleveland.
That's what you're talking about, Jeff. Listen, so let me guess.
So let me guess. So then Kobe Bryant, Jeff, you
is your best player. And if it doesn't look like Kobe,
and if you're not snarling and growling, and if you're
not being demonstrative and I'm a punch of players on
the bus, that's the only way to skin a cat,

(22:25):
is I gotta be like that? That's what you're saying, right, Cory,
Thank you, and y'all gon to hold him to nearly
the same standard you'n hold where y'all play, Steph Curry,
you do not hold him to the same standard of
the Lebron of Kobe of shock.

Speaker 4 (22:40):
Could he act because he doesn't have chosen on his
back as a tattoo.

Speaker 1 (22:44):
So because of attaching, y'all gotta y'all gotta licks me. Hey,
appreciate the call.

Speaker 4 (22:48):
I can't. I can't, I can't. I don't understand it.

Speaker 1 (22:50):
Dude, drag eleven straight times to go to final and
all of a sudden he's he don't have it.

Speaker 4 (22:54):
He don't.

Speaker 1 (22:55):
None of y'all have it either, because y'all ain't going
to the championships and your job, that's what I know,
because none of y'all going to championships. Half your freaking
career going into the freaking finals, well, going and winning.

Speaker 4 (23:06):
It's absolutely about winning. But you know, only way it
can win.

Speaker 3 (23:08):
Is to get to during his uh, the Lebron James era,
Steph Curry has as many championship the Lebron James and
that so go get So that's amazing.

Speaker 4 (23:17):
That is Steph Curry go to eleven or ten or whatever.

Speaker 3 (23:19):
It's going sick, but nobody, nobody gots more NBA finals.

Speaker 4 (23:24):
Steph Curry wants more.

Speaker 3 (23:25):
NBA finals than any other former m v P of
the NBA who Lebron.

Speaker 1 (23:29):
That's right, because I stay in the final, I get
there and Steph Curry, y'all keep screaming me about Steph Curry.

Speaker 4 (23:35):
Steph Curry Autumn Championship.

Speaker 1 (23:36):
Is the best player on the team was Kevin Durant
half of them joints. Absolutely, and Lebron James was never
not the best player on his team, Steph Curry?

Speaker 4 (23:44):
And who is amazing?

Speaker 1 (23:46):
Not even mad As cith Curry mays Lebron shot he
made one shot. No, but that's the bitch and nobody.
It's not about not having other teammates. We'll argue about that.
We got plenty of time. We got all the way
to to uh to may to probably argue about this.

Speaker 4 (23:59):
I didn't know we got a sow As spot here.
Oh yeah, because that's ridiculous.

Speaker 1 (24:03):
Till the man answers a random question, not toll Lebron
acting like there's an indictment on his whole time audience.

Speaker 3 (24:09):
You've heard it here. He he just got undressed for you. Okay,
so you know where he stands.

Speaker 1 (24:14):
Hey, you're looking back and you can't answer, Oh, shootout
and accomplished everything?

Speaker 4 (24:17):
Now, oh man, he ain't did nothing. He ain't huh.
That's what we're doing.

Speaker 1 (24:33):
We can take another call. We've been arguing about Lebron.

Speaker 3 (24:36):
Let's just do that. Andy and Washington. You're on the
odd couple Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 4 (24:41):
What's up? Andy?

Speaker 8 (24:42):
Hey, how's it done?

Speaker 4 (24:43):
Guys? What's up? Andy?

Speaker 9 (24:45):
Kelvin Welcome, you're killing it.

Speaker 4 (24:47):
Appreciate you, man. I appreciate that, Andy.

Speaker 11 (24:50):
But how you go?

Speaker 4 (24:52):
You go? Hear me with that? That Nicki Mina's mega stallion.

Speaker 9 (24:56):
But Rob is acting.

Speaker 10 (24:59):
Like the old George formerm and knocking out with Michael Moore.

Speaker 1 (25:03):
My man, my man, No, maybe out the George Forman grill.

Speaker 9 (25:07):
This man, Lebron, say something, come on, you know, let's
hear something.

Speaker 1 (25:14):
Come on, say something, put something out there.

Speaker 4 (25:17):
I agree, Andy, Actually, thank you for the call. Listen.

Speaker 1 (25:20):
Me and Rob Zie were talking about this earlier. You're
gonna learn there's no bigger fan than Lebron than me.
But what you're also gonna learn is I'm also a
very fair person in THEEO.

Speaker 4 (25:31):
If you're not playing well. You're not playing well.

Speaker 1 (25:34):
If you do some thing I don't like out there publicly,
or you know, the way you're responding to the media
or the teammate or something you post, I'm gonna have
the conversation. So I absolutely can understand that Lebron doesn't
often give you that bulletin. You know, Oh, tell us
anything less, you know. Yeah, I'm here to win everything.
I'm here to crush everything, all obstacles in front.

Speaker 4 (25:54):
He don't do that.

Speaker 1 (25:55):
And twenty two years in, I'm shocked. Jack expect that
he's gonna be measured. He's gonna be also passive, aggressive,
and I admit he will be the first you kind
of lay it up in his favor.

Speaker 4 (26:06):
If you will.

Speaker 1 (26:06):
So I'm not I'm not shocking at but I'm looking
at this is again, a long term dude has literally
done everything, the highs, the lows.

Speaker 4 (26:15):
Lost finals, one finals, What do you what is left
to play? I'm hashing it. Just said it. He just
did everything. What is left to play? For you?

Speaker 3 (26:24):
God to say it? I want you if that was
the answer, say he says, I don't. I've done everything,
and I followed up. She didn't follow up. I followed
up and I said.

Speaker 4 (26:32):
Well, Lebron, why are you playing then?

Speaker 1 (26:35):
Because I love the game, I'm passionate. I love these guys,
and I believe we got a chance and we got
a team that can challenge four championship. No, the answer
would have been because I'm here to win hour And
that's what I just said. Now, first of all, he's
gonna mention it. Dude, you don't play unless you're passionate
because you winning is a very low opportunity. I don't
care who you are. Oh but it could be. But right,
that's just a fact you do this because what's the

(26:56):
first thing player? Second, but the front, I lost the
desire to go to practice, that's the first thing they'll
tell you. It wasn't I lost the desire to win
a championship.

Speaker 3 (27:03):
Lebron has something else which is different from most people,
which is his son playing in the NBA and playing
with him.

Speaker 4 (27:12):
So is it that or is it that you still
want to win? And that's why people I'm just.

Speaker 1 (27:17):
Giving you why they're gonna be people gonna question thousand
answer your question. You're here to be the first NBA
that's but this is actual ask you here.

Speaker 4 (27:26):
To win a championship for the Lakers. That's what fans
want to know.

Speaker 1 (27:29):
This is a sincere question, and I want you to
ask answer me this. Let's say he's singularly. Let's say
it was that I'm actually here to do what has
never been done and play, not just like, oh, we're
kind of on the same team and no play with
my son.

Speaker 3 (27:46):
Would you have a problem, Yeah, I would, Why because
I still think it's always about winning. That's that's you
want to talk about a cherry on top. Your son
playing in the league is a cherry on top. But
your main goal. If you're Lebron James and you have
an Anthony Davis and you have a player of that caliber,
it should be about winning a championship.

Speaker 4 (28:05):
Always, always that the son is a cherry on top.
I'm not saying I'm discounting that right.

Speaker 1 (28:12):
The best part about this is as if he can't
go into this trying to do both with a solid team,
not great, but a solid to good team and an
opportunity to play with his son. I don't know if
I've ever seen no beggar win win right now, A
man's got a team that they can compete in the West.
You don't think a chance to play with the son.
That's a massive win win. But you you don't think
that there could be a negative to this? You see

(28:34):
no negative? Well, Brownie's not good, say Bronnie's not good.

Speaker 3 (28:39):
I'm just and the Lakers get off to a bad
start with JJ Reddick, who people believe lebron put in
as coach. That could be bad. There's a there's a
there's a good side here. I agree with Anthony David chance,
but there's also a bad side. JJ Reddick isn't ready
to be a coach. Bronnie missed four, had four airballs
in the game.

Speaker 4 (28:59):
He doesn't below in the NBA. You know what I mean?

Speaker 1 (29:01):
Like, there is another side to this, without a doubt,
and twenty two years in, you'd have been through it all.
I'd have been ridiculed because I played terribly against Dallas
in the finals out of had the lows and highs.
I don't have people making fun of my team, my family,
my this I've won.

Speaker 4 (29:16):
You'd have been through it all.

Speaker 1 (29:17):
Man.

Speaker 4 (29:17):
I'm about to go out here and.

Speaker 1 (29:18):
Hoop with my team, and hoop with my son and
let the chips fall what they may. All right, last

San from Sacramento. You rectime Fox Sports Radio. Look at
you making last call. What's up, Sean?

Speaker 9 (30:53):
Yeah, my uncle from another mother cousin, Kelly, my brother's.

Speaker 11 (30:57):
Behind the boys y'all said, are real good up your
San Francisco.

Speaker 1 (31:01):
We love it man, I get out there at some point, Hey.

Speaker 9 (31:06):
Rab just don't give us no more your goal to stay.
Warriors takes up here, man, You know you, you know
you over here. Scanners, bro, them takes.

Speaker 5 (31:13):
You know what.

Speaker 3 (31:14):
I'm one up there, man, they would be blowing up
right showing they like.

Speaker 9 (31:19):
Golding gay Bridge shakes like earthquake.

Speaker 11 (31:24):
Radio waves up here.

Speaker 9 (31:25):
But real quick, Kelvin. I love you, brother, just like
that other caller said. But there's five things you need
to keep in mind when you're on the air with
Roph Parker. I know you're learning on the fly. But
La Sports right what that man who saw you in
the airport before you turned around.

Speaker 4 (31:42):
That's right what he said, he said, LA hater. He
just say my name, he said, l A hater. And
I turned around that you already knew somebody must be
talking to me.

Speaker 9 (31:53):
Number four, the Detroit Lions enough said there.

Speaker 11 (31:57):
Number three, you fell into the trap today. Lebron James.
He will attack you for every Lebron Jay Lebron James
said you have, Tom Brady is Rob should have moved
to Mexico about four times.

Speaker 9 (32:10):
Right now, I'm still gonna die on that hill. And
number one, the number one the ATMPs that every gentleman's club,
Rob hate knows the bus.

Speaker 4 (32:20):
That's right. Nine dollars to get my own money.

Speaker 1 (32:22):
So here's the thing. So here's the Thank Sean, Sean,
here's the thing. Everything you just mentioned, I already know.
I already knew, already know.

Speaker 4 (32:31):
That's the thing.

Speaker 1 (32:32):
Hey, I've known him for a long time now, be
I've been on the show, He's been on my show,
we've done Freddy before. I am fully aware of what
I'm walking into. And no, but somebody, listen, somebody has
to be the voice of reasoning and somebody has to
especially this one isn't just you, this is we were
just talking about this off the air.

Speaker 4 (32:52):
Thanks Sean for appreciate, Sean, what the media like.

Speaker 1 (32:54):
Listen, Lebron has his moments where even I'm his biggest fan,
I'm like, bro, come on, you ain't have to say that,
or Bro, you don't have to you know, again, the
passive aggressive stuff, lose by thirty and thing you posting
your grammars you were catching an alley open like the
wash King. I thought I was listen. I told you
one day learn like that. I'm gonna keep it real.
I don't like it. You know, Lebron has those moments,

(33:15):
but the things that kind of bothered me, or as
if I ever questioned if he wants to win, Yes,
he might not be the most demonstrative. He might not,
you know, like I said, have to look on his
face all the time, or he may say something after
game that rubs you wrong and be like, we know
he prepares himself, prepares a body comes to play, and
I don't like when that kind of those types of
things become question. I'm like, you know that, that's one

(33:37):
of my challenges. But I want to say before we go,
we got a shout out to because Sewn just brought
it up Detroit. He said the Lions. I don't think
we're giving it. We're giving a love. Matter of fact, Rogie,
I'm you lucky. It's a window between us. I throw
something at you right now too, and Alex. Even though
Alex had none to do it. I'll still throw something
at you too.

Speaker 4 (33:54):
I don't even like sports. That's why Alex is not
in the mix. There.

Speaker 1 (33:58):
The Detroit Lions, Jared Goff had a literally the greatest
game ever eighteen for eighteen, a couple of touchdowns caught
a touchdowns, has more touchdowns than Travis Kelce and a
bunch of other big time receivers. And here we are
with two minutes eleven the show. We ain't even talk
about it till right now. What do you want to
say that they may be one of the best teams,

(34:19):
if not two or three, And it's in the league
that you know how typically we see teams up here,
then they fall off the next season. Credit them for
being three and one. Credit them for looking like they're
right back.

Speaker 4 (34:29):
Win this year.

Speaker 1 (34:30):
I mean, Seattle's was a division leader. That was a
good win. That's the biggest one that was. That was
a good win. I'm just trying to really think. So
you got to think about think all the time. They
would beat everybody. First of all, you know what the
I'm beating who's in front of me? Number one?

Speaker 3 (34:45):
I know, But if you have to look at your
phone to see what their best win was is what
I'm trying to tell you the beat beat the Saints,
you would you.

Speaker 4 (34:51):
Would automatically say it off the top of your head.

Speaker 3 (34:55):
Oh, when they beat they when they beat the Rams,
or when they Oh no.

Speaker 4 (34:58):
The Rams are Oh I know.

Speaker 3 (35:00):
That's what I'm trying to say is like they're gonna
get their credit. But for the Detroit Lions, it's gonna
come in the postseason.

Speaker 4 (35:06):
Can you just acknowledge that?

Speaker 1 (35:08):
But what I'm saying is we've acknowledged the Ravens, We've
acknowledged the Chiefs. We talked about Minnesota, we talk about
any of it or the cow saying.

Speaker 4 (35:16):
We've had about the College of Vikings of four. No,
we have not had a Vikings top we robbed G. No,
we have. We had a full blown conversation.

Speaker 1 (35:24):
Oh, we argued about Sam Donald because we use them
as an example of the player that's come back. But
we are not saying twenty five minutes. What I'm saying
is the Lions doing that? Do this? Who wants astro today?
The Tigers want we get some love for Detown?

Speaker 3 (35:39):
Can I say this what I worked in Detroit for
twenty years. I've told Rob g a million times it's
the best sports town in America.

Speaker 4 (35:47):
Have I not told you that, Rob g it is.
It is.

Speaker 3 (35:51):
And I'm from New York, but I worked there for
twenty years. People are passionate. They love sports in Detroit.
Got two major colleges with Michigan and Michigan State. You
got four pro teams that they love to death. Detroit
deserves credit and I did before the series started.

Speaker 4 (36:07):
I picked the Tigers over the Astro. So I did.

Speaker 1 (36:10):
That's all I want that you get some love the
Lions on her balling Jared Goffer out here looking like
the greatest quarterback ever for a.

Speaker 4 (36:17):
Week, because I don't. We would you.

Speaker 1 (36:20):
All and you didn't show any love to the Lions
a matter of fact. So that's when we're starting tomorrow.
No reason we're starting with I don't care. We're starting
with the.

Speaker 4 (36:28):
Lions Wednesday tomorrow. Now worst the Lions.

Speaker 3 (36:32):
I'm just asking Fox Sports Radio stick and stay America.
