we just look at it differently. When you say arguably,

when people didn't want him to win that third straight
because he hadn't accomplished anything yet, and then what does
he go on to do. He didn't win the MVP,
he goes on as a historic playoff.

great and that if they just win this championship, then
I think it's it's arguable. I still know I wouldn't
even say arguable that they're the best, but certainly one
of the best, because I think the best is clearly
Steph and Clay. I think they're the best backcourt ever,

but clearly the best offensive backcourt ever. You got the
best shooter of all time and arguably the second best
shooter of all time, and they won four championships together
because Kevin Durant was there. Well, so they won two
championships together. If you want to say without Durant, I
mean that's huge. Small players leading the team to two championships.

It's only been done one other time with Isaiah Thomas
and Joe Dumars, and I think they're one of the best.
I think they're the second best backcourt ever and the
third best offensive back court ever. So I'm just saying,
like I got Jerry West to Gail Goodrich, you got
Parker and Ginobili, you got Walt Fraser, Earl Monroe. Now
these two, all those five to ten I just mentioned

ten players, they're all Hall of famers, and as backcourt duos.

They all won championships.

So before you it's like Rob saying somebody can be
the goat without winning a championship. We talked about it
earlier with Will. I mean Will even won two. But
you have to accomplish some things before somebody can put
you in the goat conversation, which is what stand was
doing in terms of backcourt offensive backcourts. So look, I

don't think it's a crazy statement in terms of, yeah,
these dudes have incredible games, Kyrie's the best ball handler
NBA history, one of the best finishers, and Luka Doncic,
when it's all said and done, could be top ten
to fifteen player.

about Luca being Larry Bird, and Kyrie's already hit the
one of the biggest shots of not the Biggs shot,

best ball handler. So when you add those things together,
it's not ridiculous to just have a conversation. I'm not
saying that they are, but it ain't like out of
left field that they could even even want to pose
the question or even have them included in that. You

what you do together. And we're judging. And I don't

best shooter of all time and arguably the second best
shooter of all time, and they won four championships together

championships together. If you want to say without Durant, I
mean that's huge. Small players leading the team to two championships.

It's only been done one other time with Isaiah Thomas
and Joe Dumars, and I think they're one of the best.
I think they're the second best backcourt ever and the
third best offensive back court ever. So I'm just saying,
like I got Jerry West to Gail Goodrich, you got
Parker and Ginobili, you got Walt Fraser, Earl Monroe. Now
these two, all those five to ten I just mentioned

ten players, they're all Hall of famers, and as backcourt duos.

They all won championships.

these dudes have incredible games, Kyrie's the best ball handler
NBA history, one of the best finishers, and Luka Doncic,
when it's all said and done, could be top ten

but to act like basically they're say, and they don't

let quarterbacks.

Of his ilk or his talent go on the last
year contract. It's to proved me. They don't believe in you.

They don't want to pay you the going rate for
a quarterback until you prove something else to them. I mean,
it's an indictment. He could act any way he wants.
It's an indictment on him.

Yeah, look, we get it. You love the game, but
you still play for money. Everybodybody it, it's not that's
not a slight, right. I mean, we love doing what
we do, but we pay it. We do it for money.

Yeah, I mean we might we would want to do
it anyway, but you still need to make money and.

Look, I don't know what the state of the negotiations are,
but if they are offering him something reasonable fifty two million,
fifty three million, you know, something in line with the
Lamar Jackson's and all that. Not that he's even that good,
because obviously Lamar's won two MVPs and been to a

conference championship game.

He's done more than that. But if they I would imagine.

Rob that that would be the lowest they would offer,
right within that fifty low fifties, just because that's kind
of the going rate, and the reports are that Dak
wants to be the highest paid quarterback in the league.
If those reports are true, then what you're saying is
not only wrong with what we just talked about, but

it's just insincere, right, because if you if you're not
playing for just you know, money, and like he said,
never have never, don't, I don't even like it or whatever, like,
then you would gladly accept I'm a look, you're gonna
give me five years? Two hundred and feet would sign dollars,
he would be, You would absolutely you wouldn't be hung

up on.

I need to be the highest paid quarterback in the league.

Because, to be honest, Rob, what he said, if you
don't deserve to be the highest paid quarterback in the league,
he was saying, you know, I'll let other people determine
what a player of my you know, my accomplishment is worth. Okay,
that would be low fifties probably, And that's actually giving

you some benefit, right, because you haven't done what Lamar's done.
Speaker 3 (37:20):
It wouldn't be you're the highest paid quarterback in the league.
It wouldn't, right, And so it's just insincere.

And it also tells me, Rob, you know, I've always
felt like Dak should be thankful and really want to
stay with the Cowboys because it's a benefit to being
the cowboys starting quarterback. But some of this mate tells
me that he may he may be willing to move
on Rob and not just like if I have to,
I will, but like, hey, if they don't pay me,

then I'll gladly go to the Raiders or wherever.
Speaker 3 (37:54):
That's what it sounds like. Could be the case.
Speaker 4 (37:57):
Yeah, I mean it could be Christ and that's his prerogative.
And I understand where the Cowboys are coming from. I mean,
just it's gonna pay sixty million dollars for just its
just it's lunacy.

It just is.

Yeah, I don't mind.

I mean, look, I think the Cowboys have handled things
badly this offseason. But there's something to be said for
for prove it for you know, show me, you know
that you're just you deserve this, putting a chip on
somebody's shoulder. There's something to be said for that, Rob,
And you know, we'll see how much it motivates Dak.

And I think the issue is do they are they
putting enough around that they their best running backs?

Ezekiel Elliott or Rico Dowdell, so they need to put more.
