Tystra's Tower of Trivia.

Speaker 1 (01:00):
UH A clean addition, meaning there will be no cheating you.

Speaker 3 (01:05):
It's always ninety born, so he's not cheating today. Notice
the difference.

Speaker 1 (01:11):
Watch the difference you guys talking about when I start
a mudthole.

Speaker 4 (01:18):
It is unbelievable, Chris, that you would think that Rob
G and Alex, two of the most upstanding UH people
on the face of the earth, would allow cheating to
go on so that I could win.

Speaker 3 (01:31):
Like, what do you say the players commissioner, He's got
no control.

Speaker 5 (01:37):
We run the Adam Silver of commissioners.

Speaker 4 (01:44):
Rob, I have ultimate respecting you and what you try
to do to make the game fair. It's just Chris
because he feels at a disadvantage because he's in New
Jersey and we're all married.

Speaker 1 (01:58):
See you notice I don't browb G or Mile Brown
knows it because I win on merit. They and they
respect that, really, Rob, they don't respect all this this,
rob G, whatever it is you're doing, they don't respect
all this.

Speaker 4 (02:14):
Brown noses always Brouh.

Speaker 1 (02:19):
They don't respect. They want to come to me and
win it on merit. And that's what I'm gonna do
in thirty minutes. All right anyway, rob Uh, I'm interested
to see what you thought of this comment by stan
Van Gundhy during last night's game between the Mavericks and
the Timberwolves. He was giving Kyrie and Luca a lot

(02:42):
of love.

Speaker 3 (02:42):
Here he is Dallas.

Speaker 5 (02:43):
They have two.

Speaker 4 (02:44):
Guys that are pretty electrifying as well.

Speaker 6 (02:46):
Yeah, in Minnesota's top rated defense, there's gonna be challenged
trying to slow them down. Arguably, the best offensive backcourt
in the history of the NBA and Luca history history.

Speaker 4 (03:04):
All right, rab your thoughts, he said, arguably. He didn't
say anything, are they arguably? I mean you could just
put it in and have a conversation. He said, arguably.

Speaker 3 (03:17):
He didn't say to me, they're the best backcourt I've
ever seen. And you know, like, like, that's not what
he said.

Speaker 4 (03:24):
And and and to have to say arguably because because
because Reggie was like in history, he took the history
part rather than the arguably. That's that softens the blow.
He didn't make any definitive statement about them.

Speaker 3 (03:38):
I think he did.

Speaker 1 (03:39):
I don't just say you're not gonna say, Paul George
is arguably the best small for whatever, Chris, you can
arguably it is putting it is giving some legitimacy to it.

Speaker 4 (03:52):
Yeah, but it's not a it's not definite where you're
saying to me, if he says you're watching the best backcourt,
outscoring back according the history of the NBA, now we
got a conversation that that's that's not like couching it.
He's basically said, I'm saying how great they are.

Speaker 3 (04:11):
But if you want to bring in another duo, and another.

Speaker 4 (04:14):
Uh uh a pair and and talk about it.

Speaker 3 (04:18):
We could do that.

Speaker 4 (04:18):
I don't think anybody can would be against talking about
what where they fit in because obviously they're both dynamic
players and they have such ability.

Speaker 3 (04:27):
But the arguably is the one that softened it for
so you think it's arguable. Yeah, I think you.

Speaker 1 (04:32):
Could have a I think it's worth a conversation that
they could be the best offensive back wherever?

Speaker 3 (04:39):
Do accomplishments matter?

Speaker 1 (04:42):
Because if you if we if accomplishments matter, they can't
be And in the discussion, they've been together for a
seat now they in the future maybe, but right now
if accomplishments have to matter, and and these two have
been together for parts of two seasons, well, Chris, in

(05:04):
the first season they didn't even make the playoffs.

Speaker 3 (05:07):
Yeah, I don't.

Speaker 4 (05:08):
I don't think that that's the when you talk about
we just look at it differently. When you say arguably,
that means that you could have a conversation, that's all.

Speaker 3 (05:16):
That's the only thing. I'm just what you never been
around long enough to say accomplishment.

Speaker 1 (05:29):
Precisely, so accomplish some things then we can talk.

Speaker 3 (05:34):
I mean, Chris, that was your argument. If they win
a championship.

Speaker 1 (05:38):
If they win this championship, then we can talk, or
or even if they don't Rob win a championship, but
they play together for the next three years and they're
both continue to be great individually and they at least
are a really good team and a contender, then we
can talk. But they haven't done they've won two series together.

Speaker 4 (05:59):
But that was your argument too, about the Joker and
when people didn't want him to win that third straight
because he hadn't accomplished anything yet, and then what does
he go on to do. He didn't win the MVP,
he goes on as a historic playoff.

Speaker 3 (06:13):
That was not my argument.

Speaker 4 (06:15):
You were one of the people talking about you had
a hard time because he hadn't done anything.

Speaker 3 (06:19):
In the post, now, I thought MBAT had a better
hear No, I'm not saying that was the only reason
that I want an argument why I didn't vote for him.

Speaker 4 (06:27):
I didn't know what it was about the history of
being winning three in a row and the other guys
who had done and had won something, and that was
one of the things that you had a league a.

Speaker 1 (06:39):
Couple guys that won three in a row. When you're
talking about who Larry Bird.

Speaker 3 (06:43):
And Bill Russell.

Speaker 1 (06:45):
I don't know if Wilt or maybe wiltson there, but yeah,
I mean you only talking about a couple guys that
did that.

Speaker 3 (06:49):
Look skill wise and ability wise.

Speaker 1 (06:54):
These two were phenomenal, absolutely phenomenal, but you had accomplishments
have to count too.

Speaker 3 (07:03):
It's not just oh, his bag is awesome, he's the
best ever.

Speaker 1 (07:07):
No, you gotta It's like it's like rappers, Like there
are a lot of underground backpackers that got incredible word play,
but you gotta make some good songs if you want
to be considered like an all time great rapper.

Speaker 3 (07:21):
And it's the same thing in this. You have to
accomplish them things.

Speaker 1 (07:24):
Now they might be on their way to accomplish something
great and that if they just win this championship, then
I think it's it's arguable. I still know I wouldn't
even say arguable that they're the best, but certainly one
of the best, because I think the best is clearly
Steph and Clay. I think they're the best backcourt ever,

(07:47):
but clearly the best offensive backcourt ever. You got the
best shooter of all time and arguably the second best
shooter of all time, and they won four championships together
because Kevin Durant was there. Well, so they won two
championships together. If you want to say without Durant, I
mean that's huge. Small players leading the team to two championships.

(08:11):
It's only been done one other time with Isaiah Thomas
and Joe Dumars, and I think they're one of the best.
I think they're the second best backcourt ever and the
third best offensive back court ever. So I'm just saying,
like I got Jerry West to Gail Goodrich, you got
Parker and Ginobili, you got Walt Fraser, Earl Monroe. Now
these two, all those five to ten I just mentioned

(08:35):
ten players, they're all Hall of famers, and as backcourt duos.

Speaker 3 (08:39):
They all won championships.

Speaker 1 (08:42):
So before you it's like Rob saying somebody can be
the goat without winning a championship. We talked about it
earlier with Will. I mean Will even won two. But
you have to accomplish some things before somebody can put
you in the goat conversation, which is what stand was
doing in terms of backcourt offensive backcourts. So look, I

(09:06):
don't think it's a crazy statement in terms of, yeah,
these dudes have incredible games, Kyrie's the best ball handler
NBA history, one of the best finishers, and Luka Doncic,
when it's all said and done, could be top ten
to fifteen player.

Speaker 3 (09:23):
Of all time.

Speaker 1 (09:25):
But you got to accomplish something first. I think that's
why Reggie was so stunned.

Speaker 3 (09:30):
Now Reggie said history, because yeah, but that's what we're
talking about it. No, but Reggie took it. I'm just
gonna what are we talking about?

Speaker 1 (09:38):
History?

Speaker 4 (09:38):
But Reggie took it as if he was already saying
they were and Chris, they're saying they're in the discussion.
He said, yeah, but you could have a discussion. It
doesn't mean that they're there, that they're at the top.
To say that, you're not like to say that they're
not in a discussion. You just made a big deal
about Luca being Larry Bird, and Kyrie's already hit the
one of the biggest shots of not the Biggs shot,

(10:00):
in NBA history, and you talk about the all time
best ball handler. So when you add those things together,
it's not ridiculous to just have a conversation. I'm not
saying that they are, but it ain't like out of
left field that they could even even want to pose
the question or even have them included in that. You
can think it's all the people. I'm just saying, yeah,

(10:23):
I think that you could have a conversation.

Speaker 1 (10:25):
You're not because I don't know what you're saying. If
you're saying, yeah, they're in that discussion, you could have
a cover saying but I could.

Speaker 3 (10:33):
I can have a conversation.

Speaker 1 (10:35):
And like I said earlier, Paul George is the best
small for whatever.

Speaker 3 (10:39):
I have a conversation.

Speaker 1 (10:40):
Now, I might get trounced, but I can have a
conversation about that.

Speaker 3 (10:44):
I don't think he said anything that's so dramatic. I
just don't. I really don't. Don't tell me why they're
then in the discussion because of the things that just
brought up. You said that one guy.

Speaker 1 (10:55):
No, no, tell me what I said, Tell me what
you Why are they in the discussion?

Speaker 4 (10:59):
Because does everybody thinking Lucas A five five years, five
times the first team NBA Kyrie was.

Speaker 7 (11:06):
Without Kyrie, Kyrie would have won the championship, would hit
a big basket what they just saw last night? They
won the road in the Western Conference Finals. They each
scored thirty. But that's the only game they played together.
That's the only game they play been together year and
a half. I'm talking in the Western Conference finals. How

(11:27):
many games they've.

Speaker 3 (11:27):
Been to the year and a half?

Speaker 7 (11:29):
How many games in the Western Finals said it before
the game?

Speaker 3 (11:33):
How many talking about?

Speaker 8 (11:35):
No?

Speaker 3 (11:35):
But I'm talking about we saw that last night.

Speaker 4 (11:37):
It was an example of it that they each scored
thirty points.

Speaker 1 (11:41):
Basically, to me, Rob, what this is you.

Speaker 3 (11:45):
Like definitive statements.

Speaker 1 (11:47):
And I think the real point you made the radio
shows definitive statements.

Speaker 3 (11:53):
But can I finish? I think they're going to give
you some radio history. That's all. Yeah, okay, thank you.

Speaker 1 (12:00):
They might you like definitive statements, And because in your opinion,
Stan did not say something one hund definitive, you feel
like it's like, well whatever, he didn't even say anything.
Is am I right or about that? Because you know
you do that a lot and that's fine. I'm just

(12:20):
saying to me, that seems to be your biggest issue,
more so than whether or not.

Speaker 4 (12:26):
These two He didn't go back on the limb Chris
and say that they were Okay.

Speaker 3 (12:32):
That's all. That's all I'm doing with that. I'm good
with that. What he said, he did we just stay?
Eight seven seven ninety nine on Fox?

Speaker 1 (12:45):
Are Kyrie and Luca at this point been together year
and a half missed the playoffs once? Now they won
two playoffs series together at this point? Or they arguably
the greatest backcourt offensively ever you turned away?

Speaker 3 (13:00):
Eight seven seven ninety nine O Fox.

(14:17):
That's Expresspros dot Com. A seven seven ninety nine on
Fox are Kyrie and Luca one of the greatest, arguably
the greatest, I should say backcourt in NBA history. Offensively
your thoughts.

Speaker 4 (14:36):
All right, let's kick it off with what's our first
caller here?

Speaker 3 (14:43):
Let's kick it off with d Will in Houston. You're
on the couple Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 11 (14:49):
What's going on? Fellas? First time caller? But listen to
the show all the time.

Speaker 3 (14:52):
Appreciate it, Thank you buddy, Thank you man.

Speaker 11 (14:56):
But hey, I wanted to say, like the difference, there's
the difference between the greatest and the best. You know,
the best basketball player you've ever seen might not even
played in the NBA, So he can't be the greatest one.

Speaker 3 (15:06):
Actually no, he did well.

Speaker 11 (15:08):
May I'm just saying might not, might not so like to.

Speaker 1 (15:12):
Get some some I mean when we when you do
polls and such. Yeah, unfortunately some people may never have
gotten to show their ability. But is the greatest rapper
a guy that never put out an album or a song?

Speaker 11 (15:28):
No, no, no, but the best might not, but there's
the best, may be so the best I'm I'm from Houston, right,
and I'll say the best rap ro out here is
a fat pat Right, that's the best rapper I think
I've ever heard. But he's not the greatest because everybody
else they heard of him. So he can't be the greatest,
but he could be the best. And another thing I
want to say is like it's like NBA two K.
The best guys are right at the highest. You don't

(15:49):
have nothing to do with what they did before what
they did, but after it's right at the highest. So
if you go on NBA two K and you see
a who's the highest rated backcourt of all times, I'm
sure those guys are gonna be up there, So they
could be the best.

Speaker 1 (16:04):
I don't know if they're I mean, if you tell
me they're up there, I'll be impressed. But you said
they might be you don't know. And secondly, it's also
what you do together. And we're judging. And I don't
know how NBA two K works, but is it what
it judge them historically or just with the backcourts playing
right now?

Speaker 11 (16:23):
No, just right, it would just say Okay.

Speaker 3 (16:25):
I mean they're one of the best back courts playing right.

Speaker 1 (16:27):
Now for sure, and if they start, if they accomplished
some stuff together together, because that's what a backcourt to
me to be.

Speaker 3 (16:35):
I don't measure Earl to Pearl Monroe and Clyde Walt.

Speaker 1 (16:39):
Fraser with what Earl did in Baltimore and what Clyde
did New York. No, together what you do. And so
I don't think they've done enough together. But once they
do something, then maybe because they are phenomenal individually.

Speaker 11 (16:55):
Thanks he will, and so I hope they don't do anything.

Speaker 3 (16:58):
I hear you appreciated. Thank you.

Speaker 4 (17:00):
Dylan in Alaska. You're on the odd couple of Fox
Sports Radio.

Speaker 3 (17:03):
What's up, Dylan.

Speaker 12 (17:05):
Hey, So I'm not really going to weigh in too
much on whether I think they're an exceptional backcourt or not.
But what you say or how you say something is
just as important as what you say. So saying it
as they are arguably one of the best back courts

(17:26):
ever is a very different statement than this is one of.

Speaker 4 (17:33):
The best back courts because he is arguably one of
the best.

Speaker 3 (17:39):
But he said he.

Speaker 4 (17:41):
When you use it the term arguably, that leaves it
open for discussion, conversation.

Speaker 1 (17:46):
It did I have not I agree that that makes
it different, but it still is saying something.

Speaker 12 (17:54):
No, I mean right, But the way the order of
in which he said things puts it out there that
he leans more towards they are one of the best
back courts, if not in the best back court ever,
instead of yeah, they're pretty good, right, Okay.

Speaker 1 (18:13):
Yeah, I mean he said they're arguably the best offensive
back court ever. Now, again, that is not as strong
as saying they're the best backcourt offensively.

Speaker 3 (18:22):
Then we have a conversation.

Speaker 1 (18:23):
But I think we got a conversation anyway, because if
you just say arguably, then that's a big statement.

Speaker 3 (18:30):
If you say somebody's arguably the greatest.

Speaker 1 (18:32):
Center of all time, that's a huge statement, even though
you didn't say he definitely is arguably is like, oh wow,
he better be good.

Speaker 3 (18:40):
Like great.

Speaker 4 (18:43):
Let's go to David in Palm Springs. You're on the
couple of Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 8 (18:47):
What's up, David, A good afternoon. Yeah, I was gonna
I was gonna just say that. Stan said it's arguably,
you know, the best backcourt in history, and you guys
argued about it for twelve minutes in counting.

Speaker 3 (19:04):
Right after that, you go, it's arguably.

Speaker 8 (19:09):
It's an arguable.

Speaker 3 (19:10):
We actually didn't.

Speaker 1 (19:11):
I don't know if we argued about that. I think
we argued ultimately, we were arguing about his comment just
how strong they were.

Speaker 3 (19:19):
That's all I know.

Speaker 1 (19:21):
When it's strong as just a straight up definitive statement.
But I just don't think when you say arguably that
that cannot be a statement.

Speaker 3 (19:29):
Though it's still a strong statement, you know.

Speaker 11 (19:34):
All right.

Speaker 3 (19:34):
I just I don't know. I still think it's sitting
on the fence. Tim. What if you go ahead?

Speaker 4 (19:41):
Tim in Atlanta, Chili, Tim, you're on the couple of
Fox Sports Rado.

Speaker 3 (19:44):
What's up, Tim?

Speaker 13 (19:45):
What's up? Gentlemen?

Speaker 3 (19:48):
Doing great?

Speaker 13 (19:49):
Hard this weekend? Memory you did. We can't hope you
have enjoyed the time.

Speaker 3 (19:54):
I'm gonna be turkeys to the homeless this weekend. What
are you doing.

Speaker 13 (20:00):
The girls in the ship club?

Speaker 3 (20:03):
Right? Exactly?

Speaker 11 (20:07):
Wow?

Speaker 3 (20:08):
Is that all I'm good for?

Speaker 11 (20:09):
Good?

Speaker 6 (20:11):
I do?

Speaker 3 (20:11):
I do community stuff. I'm a good guy.

Speaker 13 (20:15):
Yeah, okay, yeah, you.

Speaker 4 (20:19):
Know, Hey, when I come to Atlanta this summer, Tim,
we gotta I gotta running to you out of the
Braves game.

Speaker 3 (20:25):
You got season tickets, right you?

Speaker 13 (20:27):
Yeah, you come, you come and I'll get you. I'll
ship my tickets with you.

Speaker 3 (20:30):
That's all right with that? Serious when I come to.

Speaker 13 (20:32):
Atlanta, definitely all right, okay, and then well.

Speaker 3 (20:35):
After we go to the game, then I'll take you
to Magic City right after that. You know, Tim's a man,
a guy.

Speaker 13 (20:41):
Man, come on, if you go okay, I'll tell you what.
We'll go, Rob, we'll go hand out tracks.

Speaker 6 (20:46):
That good.

Speaker 3 (20:48):
I don't think Rob even thoughs where the track is?

Speaker 11 (20:52):
You know what the track?

Speaker 14 (20:53):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (20:53):
What don't you race cars on the track?

Speaker 2 (20:56):
My goodness, my goodness.

Speaker 13 (20:58):
But anyway, I think like, okay, see about you know,
with my my profession, every time if I go to
say in court of law, I say that it's arguably
something that means that I have to have a legitimate
case for it. So when you say arguably, that means
you telling me that there is a legit case for that.

(21:19):
So where he didn't make a defenditive statement, he did
say I can make a legit case that they are.
So then you got a defend it. Just like in
a court of law, you can't. They're not gonna let
you bring a case this arguably before a judge if
you don't have But.

Speaker 4 (21:34):
I hear that, but he didn't say anything, Tim, that
made me say, oh, oh, he said that they are,
then I could have a con I could push back
on it, you know what I mean? If he said
they are the best back court or offensive back court ever,
now I can say, no, they are, and I'll make
my case against them.

Speaker 3 (21:56):
Yeah, Tyson's Tower of Trivia.

Speaker 1 (21:58):
Good point, Tim, that brought some good clarification, though, I mean,
I understand where you're coming from, Row It is not
there is a difference between saying definitively they're the best
versus arguably they're right.

Speaker 3 (22:12):
That's all I'm saying. But you you can't sit here,
do you really? Are you really saying there? You're not.

Speaker 1 (22:19):
Anytime somebody says somebody's arguably the best, they're not making
a strong statement. If I came up here, like I said,
if I said Paul George is arguably the best player.

Speaker 3 (22:29):
Ever, that's making a statement. No, but you, and the
burden would be for you to have to prove on
your case. I might call you on it now.

Speaker 4 (22:38):
And if stan Van said that they were Chris, then
I could call him on it and say, well make it.

Speaker 1 (22:45):
I think you could call somebody on it if they
say arguably, because Paul George isn't arguably the best player.

Speaker 4 (22:51):
No, but but that in that case, I just don't
look at Paul George in the same vein as those two.

Speaker 3 (22:56):

Tychers Tywer a trivia rob. Former Pacers guard Lance Stevenson

(27:38):
became a meme back in twenty fourteen when he famously
blew in the blank of Lebron James during a playoff game.

Speaker 3 (27:47):
He blew in his blank, what you said?

Speaker 5 (27:50):
That is correct?

Speaker 14 (27:51):
Blue in his blank?

Speaker 3 (27:53):
This so this sounds like match game?

Speaker 14 (27:55):
Oh gosh, and the password is that's right?

Speaker 3 (27:58):
Here we go, Alex, you read, I hope? So okay,
look at me?

Speaker 14 (28:02):
All right, okay, looking at you? Are closed. I'm visualizing
you over a pan. Now he thinks he's in the
studio cooking up some lamb chops. Think about it no sauce,
no sauce, some lettuce with some buttermilk, Rob G real quick.

Speaker 5 (28:18):
Ran Stevenson became a meme in twenty fourteen when he
blew in the blank of Lebron James Alex.

Speaker 3 (28:27):
Drum. Let me say it again, he heard you drum.

Speaker 14 (28:34):
Blue in his drum, Rob, what do you oh ear? Drum?

Speaker 12 (28:40):
That is?

Speaker 2 (28:40):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (28:41):
Okay, see I couldn't get my hand for the blank.

Speaker 14 (28:45):
I needed that. I didn't need that.

Speaker 5 (28:47):
All right, here we go, Level number four got a
perfect game going so far too much trust. NBA journeyman TJ.
Warren scored a career high fifty three points in the
twenty twenty COVID Playoffs. After that, you playing with the pagers. Obviously,
folks started to call him blank, TJH.

Speaker 14 (29:07):
You're ready, Oh Rob, this is Chris's turn. What are
you doing?

Speaker 3 (29:10):
Man? Do I sound that bad?

Speaker 5 (29:12):
Rob?

Speaker 14 (29:12):
That's you again?

Speaker 2 (29:13):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (29:14):
Obviously no, Rob, arguably you do.

Speaker 14 (29:17):
Yeah. Second, my famous market drop.

Speaker 11 (29:20):
You know what's going on?

Speaker 13 (29:21):
Gentlemen?

Speaker 1 (29:22):
Right?

Speaker 5 (29:23):
I think I get fired and here we go out.

Speaker 14 (29:26):
I'm ready, here we go. Give it to me, Chris gum.
What's the question in Rob G.

Speaker 5 (29:33):
TJ. Warren scored fifty three in the twenty twenty COVID Playoffs.
They started to call him blank TJ. Afterwards, gum drop.
That isn't correct, no, perfect tight shirt, dumb. Oh my
pacers are cooking. Joe Missoula's beside himself. He doesn't know
what to do now. They're down by.

Speaker 3 (29:52):
Two only oh they're not that they're gonna win.

Speaker 5 (29:55):
That's fine, but Joe's terrible.

Speaker 12 (29:57):
Rob.

Speaker 5 (29:57):
I need to he's just pacing back. At least I
haven't had to podcast Ron Parker.

Speaker 14 (30:02):

Speaker 3 (30:03):
He stole it. Okay, we need one more time and then.

Speaker 5 (30:08):
Oh gosh, I remember it. He knows the question.

Speaker 14 (30:10):
I'm good TJ.

Speaker 3 (30:14):
Okay, what was it? Well, okay, here we go, come on, pass,
here we go.

Speaker 14 (30:23):
Ready, but.

Speaker 3 (30:27):
Think about everything?

Speaker 5 (30:30):
But that is incorrect.

Speaker 14 (30:33):
Correct Alex, you said shoe like gum chew, but sho.

Speaker 5 (30:39):
Jonas knocks on the local station in l A here today,
all right, can you read the question? Oh my gosh, TJ.
Warren fifty three points in the COVID playoffs started calling
him playing for DJ.

Speaker 3 (30:52):
I did say shoo, and I said gum first time,
here we go. That's his clue. No, I'm just heading
it again. Got again. I was trying to remember when
I know you did that. Here we go, Here we go.

Speaker 14 (31:06):
See I think I know it. Shoeing bubble.

Speaker 5 (31:10):
That's correct.

Speaker 3 (31:12):
I say bubble butt and you don't give me bubble.

Speaker 5 (31:15):
But it's okay.

Speaker 14 (31:16):
I should have been the mining rock parkright yeah?

Speaker 3 (31:18):
All right? What's the score?

Speaker 5 (31:20):
Robber eighteen?

Speaker 3 (31:21):
Who's winning?

Speaker 6 (31:22):
Rob?

Speaker 2 (31:23):
What do mean?

Speaker 3 (31:23):
Who's winning? All right?

Speaker 2 (31:25):
Rob?

Speaker 5 (31:26):
Back to you.

Speaker 3 (31:27):
That's arguable.

Speaker 5 (31:27):
Current Hacers Center blank Turner is already the franchise leader
in block shots with one and sixty eight. If you
get this, Rob, it's over. No pressure.

Speaker 3 (31:43):
All right, here we go. Yeah, you don't have a clue.

Speaker 14 (31:47):
There we go, Rob, please help me get this. This
is this is uh, I need you.

Speaker 3 (31:52):
This is hard. You want to pass, Rob, No, I'm
not pass. Is not a mubble. Here we go.

Speaker 14 (32:00):
Okay, all right, here we go.

Speaker 5 (32:04):
Ben Maller warming up.

Speaker 14 (32:05):
Alright, all right, I'm ready, really come on, baby, I'm ready.

Speaker 3 (32:08):
Who All right, here we go, I got it, I

Speaker 14 (32:11):
Okay. Airline, what was the last part?

Speaker 3 (32:18):
Go togain.

Speaker 5 (32:19):
We're looking for current pacers Center blank Turner.

Speaker 14 (32:24):
Airline blank Turner. Oh no, There's no way you're using
airline for it's Miles, isn't it.

Speaker 11 (32:31):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (32:36):
With that off radio.

Speaker 2 (32:39):
Rock with me, Grob, Yeah, I'm rocking those horrible, horrible clues.

Speaker 3 (32:46):
No day airline Miles? Are you kiddy? Terrible? I wanted
to say a flyer, you know what I mean, But
I'm like, that ain't not gonna work.

Speaker 14 (32:56):

the answer. Everybody.

Speaker 3 (33:38):
Post it right after we get off the air. All right, Rob,
Dak pres do we have sound of that guys or not?

Speaker 1 (33:49):
Okay, Dak Prescott spoke this week Rob about you know,
not having a contract and going into the last year
of his deal with the Cowboys.

Speaker 3 (33:58):
Here's what he said.

Speaker 15 (33:59):
I don't play for money, never have never cared for it.
To be honest with you, We'll give it up just
to just to play this game. So so so I
allow that to the business people to to, uh say,
say what it's worth? What what they're supposed to give
a quarterback of my play, a person of my play,
leader of my play, I guess you could say. And
for me, it's about as I said control. I can

(34:20):
control and handle that part and the rest will take
care of itself.

Speaker 4 (34:25):
Right byes bolder Dash. Just I mean to say, it
doesn't play for money. Everybody play works, Chris. You do
a job, you get paid for it.

Speaker 8 (34:38):
Uh.

Speaker 4 (34:39):
The bottom line is, if you're him, you could still say, Hey,
I'm here to do a job and you know, and
I'll just play as hard as I can and whatever happens,
you know, will happen, and either this team or another
team will will want me or will pay me you know,
my value or my worth. And there's nothing wrong with that,
but to act like basically they're say, and they don't

(35:00):
let quarterbacks.

Speaker 3 (35:01):
Of his ilk or his talent go on the last
year contract. It's to proved me. They don't believe in you.

Speaker 4 (35:07):
They don't want to pay you the going rate for
a quarterback until you prove something else to them. I mean,
it's an indictment. He could act any way he wants.
It's an indictment on him.

Speaker 3 (35:19):
Yeah, look, we get it. You love the game, but
you still play for money. Everybodybody it, it's not that's
not a slight, right. I mean, we love doing what
we do, but we pay it. We do it for money.

Speaker 1 (35:35):
Yeah, I mean we might we would want to do
it anyway, but you still need to make money and.

Speaker 6 (35:42):
Dak.

Speaker 1 (35:42):
Look, I don't know what the state of the negotiations are,
but if they are offering him something reasonable fifty two million,
fifty three million, you know, something in line with the
Lamar Jackson's and all that. Not that he's even that good,
because obviously Lamar's won two MVPs and been to a

(36:04):
conference championship game.

Speaker 3 (36:06):
He's done more than that. But if they I would imagine.

Speaker 1 (36:11):
Rob that that would be the lowest they would offer,
right within that fifty low fifties, just because that's kind
of the going rate, and the reports are that Dak
wants to be the highest paid quarterback in the league.
If those reports are true, then what you're saying is
not only wrong with what we just talked about, but

(36:32):
it's just insincere, right, because if you if you're not
playing for just you know, money, and like he said,
never have never, don't, I don't even like it or whatever, like,
then you would gladly accept I'm a look, you're gonna
give me five years? Two hundred and feet would sign dollars,
he would be, You would absolutely you wouldn't be hung

(36:54):
up on.

Speaker 3 (36:54):
I need to be the highest paid quarterback in the league.

Speaker 1 (36:57):
Because, to be honest, Rob, what he said, if you
don't deserve to be the highest paid quarterback in the league,
he was saying, you know, I'll let other people determine
what a player of my you know, my accomplishment is worth. Okay,
that would be low fifties probably, And that's actually giving

(37:17):
you some benefit, right, because you haven't done what Lamar's done.

Speaker 3 (37:20):
It wouldn't be you're the highest paid quarterback in the league.
It wouldn't, right, And so it's just insincere.

Speaker 1 (37:27):
And it also tells me, Rob, you know, I've always
felt like Dak should be thankful and really want to
stay with the Cowboys because it's a benefit to being
the cowboys starting quarterback. But some of this mate tells
me that he may he may be willing to move
on Rob and not just like if I have to,
I will, but like, hey, if they don't pay me,

(37:50):
then I'll gladly go to the Raiders or wherever.

Speaker 3 (37:54):
That's what it sounds like. Could be the case.

Speaker 4 (37:57):
Yeah, I mean it could be Christ and that's his prerogative.
And I understand where the Cowboys are coming from. I mean,
just it's gonna pay sixty million dollars for just its
just it's lunacy.

Speaker 11 (38:11):
It just is.

Speaker 3 (38:13):
Yeah, I don't mind.

Speaker 1 (38:15):
I mean, look, I think the Cowboys have handled things
badly this offseason. But there's something to be said for
for prove it for you know, show me, you know
that you're just you deserve this, putting a chip on
somebody's shoulder. There's something to be said for that, Rob,
And you know, we'll see how much it motivates Dak.

(38:40):
And I think the issue is do they are they
putting enough around that they their best running backs?

Speaker 3 (38:46):
Ezekiel Elliott or Rico Dowdell, so they need to put more.
All right, we out keep it locked, perish
