(01:31):
the qus O, Maga side Fay something with them. He's
not a cute. Now, are you in the front. I
would think you're a cute if you're in anything. No,
I'm not. I'm not in the front. Okay, so um yeah,
that's where it's going on. But he's not. He's not.
He's not a cute. So I don't I don't know

(01:52):
why they're honored. Okay, hey man, but more power to him,
you know. But yeah, all right, um, so let's look
for We're gonna go to some NBA right now. And
I brought this up earlier and you seem to not agree,
which is, I can't believe you're on the tree. Luca Done,
and I'm saying it with my chest, I'm saying it

(02:14):
with bass in my voice, and I'm saying it ten
toes down, ten toes. Luca Done is better than Kevin Durant,
and we'll have a better career than Kevin Durant. You're
talking about, Luca Done is better than Kevin Durant right now? Yes, No,
that's not true. It's not true. You know why. Look,

(02:40):
first of all, for one simple fact, without even getting
on the basketball court, Luca Donte has never come into
into the season in shape. This year, it was, nah,
look at him. You can tell when somebody's in shape.
I'm looking at thirty six nine and nine, okay on

(03:00):
fifty plus percent shooting. I mean it seemed like he
in shape to me. Yeah, But the problem is this
is the first few weeks of the season. That's everybody
ready to go. But remember last year he started slow
when he didn't come in shape. Last year he started slow.
If he will realize that if he changes his body
because he is so wait a minute, manages one second,

(03:22):
you made a statement, let me, let me do my thing.
He ain't gonna be built like Michael Jordan. He doesn't
have to be built like Michael Jordan. But he doesn't
have to be built like uh Clidus Jordan either. Okay,
like at some point we've seen it happen. Well, you
you know, you can change your body at that level.

(03:43):
You can change your body. And that's not the priority
for him right now. Because he is so talented, it's
easy for him. It was easy when he was a
kid when he was playing over in Europe. You've seen
some of them clips. Right at fifteen years old. He
raw bit. I call him Luca Legend. But guess what,

(04:03):
he flames completely out when every postseason. Really tell that
to the Clippers, because he gives the Kawi and Paul
the Clippers are two of the best primer defenders of
this generation. He gives them. The Clippers are the Clippers.
They're cursed. Okay, what about Phoenix? Well, yeah, I forgot.

(04:26):
You're a Laker fan. What about the Phoenix Suns? Last
year fan, Chris Paul ain't ain't ain't got nothing to
say to Luca. No, no, Luca is a dynamic player.
I'm not taking anything away from you. You acting like
I'm saying he's a scrub. No, no, I'm just what
I'm saying is he's not better than Kevin Durant. Can
he ended up being better than Kevin Durant. That completely

(04:49):
depends on him and how serious he's gonna take this game.
The only thing Kevin Durant things he does better than Luca.
He is a better defender, but he's not like a
great defender. You know, He's not like Lebron Kobe shots better.
He's a better shooter, not a better Yes, he should

(05:09):
better shoot by a mile, but he's not a better
seven feet tall, he's a better shooter, but he's not
a better score. Has a handle like no one at
that size has ever. He's seven ft tall, Boston, Boston
made a mockery of his handle. I mean really in
the playoffs last year, had trouble getting the fo you
want to take, the one you want to take that year.

(05:31):
Last years barely seen him handle the ball as a
point forward. Oh he got night, don't get me wrong.
Nasty handle for a guy that side right, I'm not saying,
but he like a Lebron, like a Luca that could
run the point no season about what he's ever had

(05:51):
to do because he's hand ain't like like whether it's
the lack of strength or what. He's not able to
do that at seven chase feet tall, any shot anywhere
on any court, agreed, period. But can't Paris like Luca,

(06:13):
can't run the offense because there's just twenty seven points
for his career, a few tenths of a point more
than Luca. So Lucas is good of a scorer, he's
not quite as efficient but and not obviously doesn't shoot
the j as well, no question about Yeah, no those
step back is Lebron, But Lebron's is good of a
score at least as Kevin Durant. Yeah, and I love Luca.

(06:38):
I love what he brings. He is going to be
a dominant force for a long time. But because he
is so ball dominant, they run into roadblocks because it's easy.
It's easy to defend a ball dominant player in a
playoff series. In a seven game playoff series, is easy

(07:00):
to win, Phoenix. How many? How many finals have the
Dallas Mavericks. Hey, man, I'm asking you a question. No,
you can't now all of a sudden switch to oh
he's young. I'm just saying, keeping out on. You keep
hollering out teams that he beat in the playoffs, and

(07:21):
all I'm saying is what's happened. It's easy to play
defense on a ball dominant player in a seven game series.
We're trying to win the championship, We're not trying to
get to the second round the conference final. Because I agree,
and I'm constantly saying, five man basketball is more effective

(07:44):
than one or two. Luca has not learned that yet
on that well, I don't know. If it's you've seen it,
you've seen it. They no. My point, here's what I've
said about this. Jordan didn't win it as a one
man show, Lebron, Will Chamberlain, none of them wanted as

(08:04):
one man shows. I'm totally with you there, and I
don't think Luca cannot. But my point, and I want
to ask this as a question, not to go back
and forth debating this. I wonder though, and I'm not
I again, I tend to think the answer is no.

(08:24):
But I wonder if the the prevalence of the three
point shot or prominence of the three point shot might
change that where let's say you have a Luca or
it could have been Lebron in his prime, or you know,
just say you got that one ball dominant player, because I,
like I said, I agree with you, it's just too much.
He does everything for them. But if you have four

(08:46):
or three knocked down three point shooters around him, who
could defend? Now do you think that somebody might be
able to do that? Because that's the one have, y'all.
I wonder with the change in the way the game
is played, can somebody do that? I don't think so,

(09:07):
but I'm just wondering. You know, Outlie, what we've seen
is you have to be able to play defense on
the other side as great as shooters as Golden State has,
and they have some of the best shooters on the
planet Earth, and they have for a quite some time.
The thing that separates them is they're one of the
top two defensive teams in the league. All of those

(09:31):
championship runs, they were one of the top defensive teams
in the league. You can't you can have all those
knocked down shooters and you can do all of that
you want. If you can't stop people, it doesn't matter
because they don't get But there will be a time,
there will be a time in a series, two or
three games where you're not hitting. We've seen it. We've

(09:53):
seen it over the course of ever. You're not gonna
be hitting. I agree with you, And this is what
I wonder because I think, like Lebron was not in
high school, didn't play as ball dominant as he did once,
you know, in the NBA. And I thought a lot
of that was that the Calves, you know, because let's
just face it, they weren't very good ter right, So

(10:15):
he had to do everything, and I think what happened,
I thought what happened from was that that became his
style of play, and the same thing could happen to Luca. Look,
I mean you know what I mean, Like Lebron got
to a point where he he really had to dominate
the ball. Because that's how I was sad at that point, right,
And I don't think I think that's why Lebron might

(10:37):
not have more championship. Well you because that makes it
challenging even like even with Luca, the challenge like what
star that can really get his on his own? It's
gonna want to go play with Luca if I'm oh,
I'm down right, if I just want to spot up
and catching the shoot, but as a guy that I

(10:59):
can get it myself, that's gonna be the challenge for Dallas. Yeah,
you have to put the team together the right way.
First of all, you need some defensive dogs. You need
some guys who are gonna get in your face, some
wing defenders on who's gonna and who are gonna defend.
You need somebody who's gonna rebound. Because Lucas shot selection

(11:23):
late in games is a visible He's the show, right
he's the show. But those step back, one leg threes
that are short now because you've been carrying the load
of the team for four quarters, that's not gonna get
it done. And yeah, you may hit some of them,
but that one percentage, but that's the lowest percentage shot

(11:45):
you can take in the half court. That's the lowest percentage.
Here's the thing. I'll leave you, and then we're gonna
get into the Lakers in the next segment, lebron But
he Durrants never led his own team to the chap
absolutely right. And that's where I and I will firmly admit,

(12:05):
as much as I believe Luca will be better, he
gonna had to win, right, and he's gonna had to
lead his own team to the championship. If he doesn't,
I don't care what his numbers are, he won't be better,
of course Rant. But that's Durant hasn't done it, probably
won't do it at this point, and that's where Luca
can best him because obviously his numbers are gonna be crazy.

(12:26):
We'll get into the Lakers, Lebron Um. What can the
Lakers do to get him a championship? Or has that
ship sail we'll get into that next. It's the I,
Chris and I from Salime. Fox Sports Radio has the

from you huge Laker fan just said it last segment. Um,
I think this season's essentially over, you know, and I
mean I think Lebron now the injuries. Here's what else

(14:38):
I think is over. Let's put it this way. And
I'm sorry to Nike. I think father Time is now
getting the best of Lebron. Like I think the injuries,
I mean, these are just you know, it's just you,
you play, they just nothing's happening. It's just age and
he Lebron is the best, even though I think Jordan's

(15:00):
the Gold and Lebron's second. Lebron is the best twenty
twentieth season player or nineteen season player last year that
we've ever seen. Yes, there's never right. No one's ever
played at the level he's played at this late in
their career. But I think this is age, for like,
that's what happens. It's I mean, when you played in

(15:22):
the NFL, I'm sure you could late at the end
of your career. I'm sure you could have put together
some nice games here or there, yes, but it could
you do it or really stay healthy for another sixteen
game season was probably the question, right, And I think
that's what we're seeing with Lebron. And he from four
of his five seasons if we count this one, he's

(15:46):
had a significant injury. And the one season he didn't
was of course the lockout with the four not lockout
pandemic with the four month hiatus, so he could heal up.
But I think this is just age. I don't think
Lebron's gonna win another championship. I mean, I guess it's
theoretically he could get traded to a good team next

(16:09):
year or the year after and maybe help them win
a title. But I think as far as his days
of leading a team, like being that guy that leads him,
that's over. Well, he can't keep it up. And you
see it in Spurts, right. You see him play defense.
You see him sit down in the chair, You see
him move his feet, see him rotate, you see him

(16:29):
chase people down, and then you don't see it right,
and then it's gone. You see him going to the whole,
You see him getting to the rim, you see him
getting the end ones, you see him putting the pressure
on the defense, and then you don't see it. Then
it's gone. And that's what age does. Age allows you
to play in Spurts when Lebron James was a ninety

(16:53):
four feet phenom the whole game. It's yet you can't
do it, which is important. That's why it's important to
have the proper supporting cast around him. Anthony Davis is
not that guy, even though he could be. But every
time he jumps, he thinks, and we think he's going
to get hurt, and you can see it in his face.

(17:15):
He says something I was gonna say, you says something strong.
He thinks, he thinks, and we think you can see
it in his face. Man, just watch the game, every contact,
every time he falls, look at he wears it. He
wears it and that and that's the problem, right if
you don't, if you are constantly waiting for the other

(17:36):
shoe to drop, eventually it will. Is there a value
because I feel like every time he hits the floor
he acts like for a few moments and now you know,
and let's keep it real. Lebron throughout his career has
kind of been you know, at times he would look
like it was a serious injury and he get up
and shake it off. But with a d would there

(18:00):
be a value for him maybe mentally and just getting
up and running back down, you know what I mean,
like that quick, just get up and you're fine. Yes,
the mental approach to to to to healing and to pain, Uh,
it's serious. It affects a lot. And I mean he's

(18:23):
had a history of it, so he's basically just waiting
for something that right the second game of season back
right joker, Uh, you know what went up against him
but hit him in his back and then all of
a sudden it was just like, oh god, it's it's
it's over, you know what I mean, Like it's those

(18:44):
things that you had all offseason to train. You're supposed
to be in the best shape right now, and he's
already missed games. Yeah. Right, So you're at a situation
where you got an older statesman in your twenty, a
fragile All World player, an inconsistent h third scorer who

(19:05):
can't shoot the majority of the time, and is reckless
with the ball. So that's a that's a recipe for disaster.
And on a bunch of other nondescript guys. Right, who
are you who are You're asking them to play out
of their abilities right now? They don't, They don't, they
can't carry a team and they can and and so

(19:28):
you're in a situation where are you asking me if
the leg Lebron's window is closed. Yes, it's closing unless
they do some radical changing. And if they don't, that's
what ad was supposed to be. Yeah, you know what
I'm saying, Like, yeah, he's supposed to be much better

(19:49):
than Lebron, just you have to carry the load. He's
unguardable when he's all in. When he's playing on the
defensive side of the ball and inside of the ball,
he is a dominant player. But don't you think even
now when he's healthy, like he's not playing. I don't
think he's playing as well as he did a few years.
And now he's not going all out because he knows

(20:11):
at any moment he's waiting. It's a it's a mental hurdle.
It's it's a real one, though, it's it's not one
that all you gotta get over. No, this has been
the story of his career. That's fair. That makes sense
that maybe that's why he's not the player he used
to be, because he's not just going full board because

(20:32):
he's afraid that he's gonna get hurt if you throw.
When you throw caution to the win and you're out
there playing with reckless abandonment, that's when you ascend, right,
that's when you are playing top five in the league.
If you're holding back, you can't possibly get there. All right, Well,

(20:53):
we gotta get to Tysha's Shower of Trivia in a
few moments and quickly. We're not going to discuss it.
But Efraim Carolina thirteen Atlanta zero. Oh yeah, man, come on,

I got seven questions. They're all related to the nice

(21:58):
Thurises and night Game, to the Carolina Pats, the Lane
of Falcons. It's up to Ephraim and Chris to help
Alice get up the tower. Ef Im, I don't know
if you remember the rules. The rules are. It's got
to be in English, Gotta be a real word, cannot rhyme,
cannot be a number. Okay, we have been fooled before.

(22:18):
Want to let you know that, all right, We flipped
a coin. He plays hard and fast and loose with
these rules. Flip the coin during Steve's update and Evrahm
gets question number one, So let's get started. He ready
for him? Yes, okay. The Falcons famously blew a twenty
eight to three lead in the Super Bowl and eventually

(22:39):
lost to Tom Blank and the Patriots. Oh that's easy.
He knows this one one word clue. Give him a
one word. Um, oh, don't be coming in. Yeah, give
it a full sentence. Bunch already trying to cheat, No
bunch much to me. It's amazing, Brady, that is correct.

(23:03):
Let's go. Do I get like a whole paragraph clue
to give said? What word? What are you talking about?
First off, Alex already knows this one. He plays quarterback,
but that's not my I didn't say that, all right, Alex?
Count the rings up level number two over to christ
Michael Vick, probably the most iconic quarterback in Falcon's history,

(23:26):
but the most accomplished is former MVP Matt Blank. Seacrest. Oh,
you're talking about my boy, Ryan. Let's go. Oh that's
the clue. That's to set it up with a sentence.

(23:48):
One word, Alex, close your eyes. I went to the
visualize this one. Okay, Alex, remember what building you're in
who built it? That's not the clue, though, that's not
the clue. Okay, here we go. Level number three, all
type up of ten Ephraim. You're Atlanta Falcons, team you
played for played on the Super Bowl, which you guys
lost the rest in peace to Blank Broncos. That's too soon.

(24:12):
What a shot I gave this clue? He from on Purpose. Omelet,
Oh wow, get into the mind of a guy who
does not eat meat. Omelets give me the question again.
He from Falcons team lost to the Blank Broncos in
the Super Bowl. Omelets just staring at him in the

(24:37):
This is weird. I think I think I know where
you're going with this one. You're doing the Denver Okay,
come on, okay, it could be looking at me. Come
on and Chris, you know, even if I'm not, Rob

(25:01):
Parker just writes on a piece of paper and holds
it up. So that's anything less than that. I'm not
doing any of that. Level number four back over to Chris.
Former Panthers defensive end Julius Blank was a dual sports
star in college. He played both football and basketball. Salt Pepper,

(25:25):
that is correct. Oh, this is this is like a
tech c we got a perfect game going right now.
We haven't had one of those in eight months, so
he got some. I don't know how he got Din
brownlet all right. Level number five Titris Towery Trivia, the
Falcons and Panthers edition all tied up twenty a piece

(25:47):
back to eat from after every home win, which isn't
very often. The Panthers play Neil Diamonds Blank Caroline throughout
the stadium. Shee's sour sweet. That is correct. Okay, it's okay, No,

(26:12):
no set up like all right, Alex, think of food driving.
You're driving in your new car, Alex, We're going to
PF changs. Close your eyes. No, I'm just saying I
like PF changs. What it's good. It's across the street, Chris.
Level number six, do not ruin the perfect game, Chris,

(26:34):
former Falcons running back front of the show. I think
he's been on at least once. Jamal Anderson had an
iconic touchdown dance that folks referred to as the dirty blank.
Well that could get from stay ready if he doesn't
get you get a chance to steal. Okay, the dirty
blank I thought something dirty Eagle bird that is correctly

(27:05):
Larry with Larry Bird. Yeah, that would be good. Love
Larry Bird. I like Larry. I wasn't sure if he
had heard of Larry Bird. So talk talk, I mean,
for the respect of the show. I've never never all right,
make the first play the whole premise of the show.

(27:25):
If you get this one, it's over and it's hold. No,
you gotta happen only seven No, just this is. This
is the NFL overtime rules. Flip the coin sometimes whoever,
the first question is the avantage. It's like first in
line he froms in studio. What do you want? Let's know,
all right, you're gonna have to come to LA if

(27:47):
you want to get the upper hand. All right. Former
Panthers quarterback Cam Newton had one of the more memorable
touchdowns celebrations of his time. Folks just called it quite
simply the blank one word even krypton. How do you know?

(28:10):
I'm a nerd? You're going Superman, aren't you? That is correct?
We have a new champion. I don't know. I'm protesting.
How how would you shot? It doesn't matter. They're gonna
have to change it. Really, let me get a record
record scrash. I'm looking it up. Krypton is not a

(28:34):
real word. First of we have some controversy here at
the top. How not a real word? The plan is
not called krypton. It is, but it's not a word
in the dictionary. First of all, you didn't specify the
word has to be honest, and you never specified the words.

(28:57):
This will show our listeners having upstanding guy count because
Kryptie was the name of the planning. So we got
to add another rule because you guys keep you know,
bending them a little bit. I'm not bending you. I'm saying,
Christie rubber attitude. I take it back. We got all right?

(30:51):
be a big help to them? Well, what depends on
how healthy is Everybody's saying he's coming back and he's
ready to go, But is he and and how much? Now?
Of course, if he can come back and be the
old Dell that that we know and they need him

(31:12):
to be, then of course he's gonna help. You. Look
at that receiving corps and it's like, you can't do
anything but help. Uh, but who who is he going
to be? Because I mean it's been less than a
year since he heard his acl right, and I know
you know he's not the same person. I could promise

(31:35):
you that can he help? Yeah he can. Um. I
saw him going to a team that was already on
the trajectory of going deep in the playoffs into the
super Bowl, and he just adds that piece similar to
what the Rams were, right, So he needs to match that,
whether it be Buffalo, whether it be Kansas City. So

(32:00):
would you rather him go to one of those teams
that doesn't really need a receiver as much as Saint Dial, Yeah,
because you don't want to heap too much on him
and have him going out there and doing some things
that could hurt him further. Right, you need him to
be a complimentary piece. He worked great with Cooper Cup

(32:22):
because everybody knew the ball was going to Cooper Cup
and he was showing out in the Super Bowl until
he got hurt. But that's because he had the complimentary piece. See,
I like him in one. I do think they're talking
a little too much about it because number one, what
if he does go to Kansas City or Buffalo or

(32:42):
one of your rivals, Tampa Bay or the Giants. Right,
that's number one, you're setting yourself up for that disappointment.
Number two, to your point, what if you do get
him and he's just not the same because of the knee.
That's another way you're setting yourself up for disappoint men.
And so I think there, and then also the receivers

(33:07):
on that team. I I mean, I get it they
don't have the best receivers, but they don't necessarily think that.
I mean the receivers themselves, Like Ceedee Lamb is secure
at the number one spot, yes, but Noah Brown, Michael Galler,
how are they feeling? Well, how would Ezekiel Elliott be
feeling if Michael Parsons or DeMarcus Lawrens was would have

(33:30):
been like a month ago, Man, we need to go
get Christian McCaffrey, like he's available. You know, we need that, dude,
We want that, you know. Like, so I if they
get him, I think it'd be great because I see,
I do think he goes there not as a number one,
as Ceedee Lamb, And to be honest, from initially he
would be number four or at least three behind Gallup

(33:53):
and maybe Noah Brown. I think he could pass those
guys organically if he's you know, able to be himself. Um,
but I think I think there's a chance for him
to really shine there. And like I said, he's not
going in is the number one. I agree with you.
He doesn't need to go anywhere where he's number one.
I just think of Kansas City, he could get lost

(34:16):
in the shuffle, and I do think he needs to
show he needs to be somewhere he can show out well.
He needs to make lost in the shuffle until the
playoffs starts. That's the problem, right. You need him to
just kind of fit in. He don't need too much
from him now until you do. And that's the that's
the that's the greatness of Odell Beckham. He'll just pop

(34:38):
up and it's like, oh snap, he got six twenty,
you know what I mean? Like, you don't need him
to help you carry the load to get to the playoffs.
I think that would be the wrong situation for him.
So where do you think is the best place one
of those two teams you mentioned, Buffalo or Kansas. Yeah,
if he goes to Buffalo with dicks Man he goes

(35:02):
to Man, if I'm looking at those two, I'd rather
Buffalo if I'm him, because I again, Diggs is obviously
the best of the two on the two teams receiver,
but I think Casey is much deeper. Right, Yeah, in
Buffalo it's Diggs, Gabe Davis, and then you Minnesota and

(35:28):
be interested in Minnesota. But he has his issues though,
I laff games are played in prime time, so that's
just saying I'm MS alive. Great job, my man, you're
getting better. You're not. Wasn't as much of a punching
bag as usual, but not bad, not bad smarting partner.
