Speaker 3 (01:24):
All right, Rob, last time, I want to say one thing.
Speaker 5 (01:27):
Did you see how Alex slipped in the Wals of
Love last break?
Speaker 3 (01:33):
Yes, that was very nice.
Speaker 4 (01:35):
Why you gotta call him the Walls?
Speaker 3 (01:39):
Was not his nickname? R and B's biggie. How about Chris?
That was google it? That was his nickname. He called
himself that the Wawas of Love. But it's not Kobe.
It's not self proclaimed.
Speaker 4 (01:50):
That's not a positive thing.
Speaker 3 (01:51):
No, what the was his teeth On't that big?
Speaker 6 (01:54):
No?
Speaker 3 (01:54):
I'm just kidding. But Barry White was amazing. It's a
big boy. He was an amazing singer.
Speaker 1 (02:00):
Though.
Speaker 3 (02:01):
Okay, thanks, that was it. That was it. I just
want to give him some fun. Rob appreciating flashback last.
Speaker 4 (02:09):
Luka Doncis.
Speaker 1 (02:10):
Rob set an NBA record last night with his fourth
straight thirty five point triple double.
Speaker 3 (02:21):
Did they win? I'm sorry they did win.
Speaker 4 (02:24):
They beat the heat.
Speaker 1 (02:26):
He broke the record by Oscar Robertson and Russell Westbrook,
which was three the longest streak, and it was his
fifth straight triple double overall in which he scored thirty
points or more. Uh So, donches with his fifteen triple
doubles this season, seventy one in his entire career only
(02:48):
six years.
Speaker 4 (02:48):
That's ninth all time in NBA history.
Speaker 1 (02:51):
But Chandler Parsons, former NBA player, on fan Duel TV's
Run It Back, talked about how I could be frustrating
playing with Luca.
Speaker 4 (03:02):
As great as he is here he is.
Speaker 3 (03:04):
I think he's an unbelievable talent.
Speaker 6 (03:05):
He is literally a guard version of Jokic where he
can do everything. He's mesmerizing with the basketball.
Speaker 2 (03:11):
But as a teammate, it's a little exhausting watching the
same over and over again, and then when you don't win,
it's even magnified, like, okay, can we try something else?
Speaker 3 (03:19):
Can I even get the ball? Well, that's why I
asked you, did they win? You know what I mean?
Speaker 5 (03:24):
Because the numbers are eye popping, Chris, they are, but
they don't don't always translate into wins. And I think
Parsons is being honest about being a teammate in that where.
Speaker 3 (03:42):
A guy has.
Speaker 5 (03:44):
Needs the ball as much as he does, it's got
to be I don't know, Kyrie, he's been able to
flourish like numbers wise, but I don't I don't know.
Is that somebody you want to play with, Chris, Is
that somebody long term who's going to be able to
win an MVP? This because of the numbers, but not
because of winning.
Speaker 3 (04:04):
I don't know.
Speaker 1 (04:06):
He's good enough to be the dude is awesome, No,
I get it, good enough to be an MVP.
Speaker 5 (04:11):
But if he doesn't win a lot of games, that's
what I'm not going to be. That's what I'm saying,
and that's the dilemma. But that that's my take. I
think Parsons is spot on.
Speaker 1 (04:21):
I agree as much as I like Luca, Rob, you know,
I think I was the first. Maybe not, but I
think I was the first to call him Luca Legend
off Larry Legend. I've said he's a new age version
of Larry Bird. Yogic is really more like Larry Bird
seven foot version of Larry Bird. But Rob, I completely
(04:46):
agree with what Chandler Parsons is saying.
Speaker 4 (04:49):
If you are a teammate of.
Speaker 1 (04:51):
Luca's who can do some things on there on that Kyrie's,
like you said, it has been able to flourish.
Speaker 3 (04:57):
He has, his numbers are good, but.
Speaker 1 (05:01):
It's tough to win when you're a one man show.
And Luka Doncis's US's rate for his career's usage rate
is thirty five point six.
Speaker 4 (05:15):
Guess where that ranks in NBA history?
Speaker 1 (05:17):
Rot where is that? Guess number two? Number one high
usage rate in NBA history.
Speaker 3 (05:26):
I was gonna say I figured it was high, but
I was gonna say, maybe.
Speaker 1 (05:29):
He's only played six years and three of those he
already has three of the fourteen highest usage rates in
NBA history. And Luka Doncic has got to look in
the mirror and say, Okay, what can I do differently?
(05:51):
And what he can do differently is play in a
way that incorporates the rest of his team, not just
him dribbling and kicking out to you for an open
three pointer, him dribbling and taking a shot, him dribbling,
driving and then drawing the double team and throwing it
to you up at the rim and you dunk it,
(06:13):
no other guys really touching the ball. And Rob we
have not seen a one man's show as great as
these players are. Michael never wanted as a one man show.
Lebron never wanted as a one man show.
Speaker 5 (06:30):
Will Oscar they never wanted as one man shows. James
Hardens James Hard He's not on their level, but he's
a Hall of Famer and yes, never wanted as a
one man show. Kobe was a one man show with
the Schmusch Parkers of the world.
Speaker 3 (06:46):
I wasn't pretty.
Speaker 4 (06:47):
They weren't even close.
Speaker 3 (06:48):
I'm just saying, Kobe's a great player, you're not going
to win.
Speaker 1 (06:53):
Rob When Michael Jordan was in Boston, h Chicago and
Phil Jackson first came in and put in the triangle,
he said, this is how you're going to win, getting
other guys involved, letting him touch the ball, and that's
what happened.
Speaker 4 (07:12):
And so Luca's getting.
Speaker 1 (07:14):
To that point where we always talk about there's a
honeymoon period, right, you get those first several years where
you know, we don't really expect you to win. We
just amazed that you. You are a superstar. You have
established yourself as that guy. But what if you don't
win at a certain point, even get close to winning,
Now we're gonna start docking you.
Speaker 4 (07:38):
And that's what happens.
Speaker 1 (07:39):
And Luca's getting close to that point where it's like, dude,
the numbers are nice, the numbers are lovely, but if
you're not gonna win a lot of guys can put
up numbers in a bad situation and be on a
bad team.
Speaker 3 (07:54):
We talked about it. Yep, that's easy.
Speaker 5 (07:56):
It's about it's still the bottom line is about winning
and if you need to pull back Chris some to
get other people involved and become better at when And
I know they went to the Western Conference finals a
couple of years ago, right, yeah, they did.
Speaker 1 (08:14):
So, but in that year, Rob, that's a prime example.
Rick Jalen Brunson was the second leading scorer. I don't
know if you know if he was second, but he was.
He averaged sixteen points on that team. Did anybody have
an an inkling no, that he could do what he's doing.
Speaker 5 (08:31):
That's a that's a great point because he played with
Luca and you couldn't see that totally like up like
when he went to the Knicks and what he's been
able to do. Come on, most people are like really.
Speaker 1 (08:42):
Right, they're like shocked because we never saw it with
Luke and the best like the best teams, Rob the
Showtime Lakers. Magic was able to be the best best
version of himself.
Speaker 4 (08:54):
So was Kareem So was worthy.
Speaker 1 (08:56):
The Bulls with Jordans, Jordan was able to be the
best version of himself. So was Pipping, so was a
Dennis Robmin Shaq and Kobe, for all their beef, Shaq
was able to be the best version of himself, and
so was Kobe.
Speaker 4 (09:11):
When you look at.
Speaker 1 (09:11):
Denver, Aaron Gordon, don't have to hold back KCP and
Michael Porter Jume. You can play their game because jokis
as much as he may have the ball, you know,
over dribble, dribble to air out the ball, he's moving
that thing. And I love Luke. I want Luca to win.
(09:33):
I agree with Jason kind and he's better than Dirk,
but but he gonna have to do it a little differently.
Their only thing they could do rob and I don't
think this would necessarily work. But Alan Iverson was like
this different a little different style, obviously very different type
of player, but he wasn't like the playmaker and passer
(09:55):
that Luca was or is. But Iverson was similar in
that he was so balled dominant, had to shoot all
the time.
Speaker 3 (10:03):
And so what did Larry Brown do?
Speaker 1 (10:05):
Get me a bunch of grinders, spot up shooters, defenders
don't mind doing the dirty work, don't mind Allen taking
thirty shots at night.
Speaker 3 (10:13):
It got them to the finals and game and winning
game one of la right.
Speaker 1 (10:18):
I mean, it didn't get him a championship, but it
got him far. And that's kind of what they may
need to do with Luca. But even that, Rob, I
don't think it's gonna win a championship like Luca's going
to have to Like, I just think this style of
play and look, some of this is on kid. And
I've talked to some people and feel like they like,
that's how Lucas plays.
Speaker 3 (10:40):
What you gotta did, Michael Jordan? Shift a little bit round?
You have to adjust, Chris.
Speaker 5 (10:45):
If you're trying to win, you just can't say because
because you haven't gotten there right right, and it ain't working,
It ain't working, and you have to take a look.
Speaker 3 (10:54):
And I think the case.
Speaker 5 (10:57):
About Jalen Brunts and Chris is probably the prime example
on why they would need to take a look at
it and say, why didn't we see this here?
Speaker 3 (11:10):
Yeah?
Speaker 5 (11:10):
Why why didn't we see this here? Can you imagine
what he would be if we had him and we
didn't have to trade for Kyrie?
Speaker 3 (11:19):
Do you know what I mean?
Speaker 1 (11:20):
We could and they could have got him for what
fifty five million.
Speaker 3 (11:24):
Low is low and they played hardball and they lost.
Speaker 4 (11:29):
Yeah it. You know, it's tough, and obviously I.
Speaker 1 (11:34):
Didn't play close to anything close to these guys' levels.
But when one guy does it all, it's tough on
the rest of the players, especially if the other players.
Speaker 4 (11:46):
Have some skills.
Speaker 1 (11:47):
Like we brought up the iverson Philadelphia example, those guys
weren't really skilled.
Speaker 3 (11:52):
They could catch and shoot, they could defend, they could rebound,
that was about it.
Speaker 1 (11:56):
They weren't really They weren't guys that could create their
own shot, and you know, wanted to get twenty shots
tonight because they know they could get twenty five points
on that. But when you've got guys that can do
those things, it's gonna be tough. And then rob the
top to put a cap on it or a bowl
around it, then that guy's not playing defense.
Speaker 3 (12:21):
Right. That's the other bad part, right right.
Speaker 1 (12:22):
Right at least when Lebron was ball dominant. But Lebron
would play defense, great defense at during his prime, and
that makes up for it. And that's why I think
one reason Lebron could get further by being ball dominant
than Luca's been able to get. But you know, I
(12:43):
think he's gotta They gotta talk to him. Jason Kidd
as much cloud as anybody in this league. Got to
sit down and talk with him and they start working.
Now He's not gonna be running off picks and screens
and stuff, but we gotta try to get you know,
not be as predictable and my earn your turn with
him and Kyrie? All right, A seven seven ninety nine
(13:04):
on Fox. You've heard the conversation about the great and
he is great. Luka Doncic, what are your thoughts? Does
he have to change a little bit, maybe change his style,
get more guys involved, stop being so ball dominant to
win championships?
Speaker 4 (13:20):
Your thoughts? Next with Christ and Rob the Couple. Fox

On Fox, You'll turn the way in Luca. You need
to adjust this playing style.
Speaker 4 (14:45):
If he wants to win at the highest level.
Speaker 3 (14:47):
Your thoughts?
Speaker 5 (14:47):
All right, let's kick it off with Sam in Texas.
You're on the Odd Couple Fox Sportsuaitio.
Speaker 3 (14:52):
What's up? Sam?
Speaker 8 (14:54):
Hey?
Speaker 6 (14:54):
What's up?
Speaker 3 (14:55):
What's up?
Speaker 6 (14:55):
Chris, ho, are you guys.
Speaker 3 (14:56):
Doing doing great? How are you?
Speaker 5 (14:57):
Were you in Texas? That's a big state? Okay, gotcha?
Speaker 6 (15:05):
All right? Well guys, honestly, I think looking from the
outside looking in Lucas deal or his issue, in my opinion,
is that he's been caddled. He's never had that coach
or that organization that's really challenged him.
Speaker 5 (15:19):
Oh yeah, they challenged him. Now that's why Recall out
in Indiana.
Speaker 6 (15:24):
Well, I mean, I mean really, no, I mean no, no, no.
Speaker 5 (15:27):
But what my point is that remember he had a
thing with with Recall Allen, who did they pick?
Speaker 6 (15:32):
I'm just saying, yeah, exactly, so you know that they
chose the star player over the coach that was trying
to make him better. So until somebody actually holds himccountable
and really, you know, puts his feet up on the fire,
he's never gonna change. He's always gonna be the same player.
He's always gonna do the same thing, play no defense,
you know, dribble the heck out of the ball, and
(15:53):
you know, then they're never gonna get anywhere. He needs
to go to a team or a coach similar to
what san Antono used to be with Pop or even
you know, like the Heat or they have their specific culture.
Whe he just needs to fit in and you know,
be a piece of the of a of a bigger
you know, team or franchise or whatever.
Speaker 3 (16:12):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (16:13):
I mean, look, he's a star and he's gonna be
the star. But he definitely, I mean, this is not
going anywhere. You got a great player and Kyrie irving
with you.
Speaker 4 (16:23):
You guys are fighting to stay in the playoffs.
Speaker 5 (16:27):
Which is ridiculous because they didn't make it last year, right, right,
you remember when that trade was made, Chris, People.
Speaker 3 (16:33):
Were like, oh, oh my god.
Speaker 1 (16:35):
Right, you thought they were gonna do something and they
didn't do anything so fast, that's right, eight seven, seven
ninety nine on Fox. If you want to jump in
as an opportunity for you to chime in on Luca
and what's happening.
Speaker 5 (16:48):
There, Chris, you just said it. They're fighting it to
stay in the playoff hunt. If they don't make it
a second year, do you really start to look and
wonder if these two guys fit together.
Speaker 3 (17:04):
Oh, because the numbers are ready, the numbers already.
Speaker 4 (17:07):
Don't think they fit.
Speaker 1 (17:08):
Now they're able to, like you said, put up numbers
and it's and I'm not blaming it on Kyrie.
Speaker 3 (17:15):
I'm not even I mean Luca ultimately, like I said,
he's gotta change some things.
Speaker 1 (17:23):
But if I were the Mavericks, I would look at
trading Kyrie this offseason for some players that fit better
around Luca. I would be interested in, like and they
may be able to get more than this.
Speaker 4 (17:42):
It depends.
Speaker 1 (17:43):
Now has Kyrie kind of you know, he hadn't had
any issues off the court in a while.
Speaker 4 (17:48):
You know, if people would if they warmed up, and
maybe they'll go after him. We know the Lakers would
take him, so Austin Reeves.
Speaker 1 (17:55):
Ruey Hotcha Mura, Jared Vanderbilt, something like that, or get
a defender in vander Build. I get a guy who
can shoot and tries to defend in Reeves and Ruey
Hotcha Moor is pretty good, you.
Speaker 4 (18:07):
Know for what he is.
Speaker 1 (18:08):
Like, I mean, again, it's kind of the Irison model
rope Rob. But I mean that's just something I would
be out open to that because they're not gonna miss
the play in because they are all those teams, the
Lakers and Warriors included Rob are too far ahead of
the Jazz. But they might not get out of the
(18:30):
play in and then they missed the playoffs.
Speaker 5 (18:32):
Well in that right, that's that's the issue, right, Yeah,
it's it's gonna be interesting to just see how it
plays out. I don't know what a Kyrie signed? How
many how many years?
Speaker 3 (18:42):
A three years? Was three years?
Speaker 1 (18:44):
One hundred and twenty something like that, Yeah, one hundred
and twenty nine something like that, So.
Speaker 3 (18:48):
He still got two years after this, correct?
Speaker 5 (18:51):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, it's it's it's a dilemma a
little bit eight seven, seven ninety nine. I know a
couple more people because one jump in on this before
we get to I low. But yeah, Dallas' though, is
a weird team because you would think immediately when they
got Kyrie that they were going to be instantly.
Speaker 4 (19:12):
A part of Hiris better than Brunson.
Speaker 1 (19:15):
Right, so you thought, okay, but it's you know, like
I said, it's clear what we said they need to do.
They need to make some adjustments and if they want
to get as far as they can, because the the
scary thing for Dallas Rob has to be that if
Luca looks at this in a couple of years and says,
(19:37):
you know what, we're not going anywhere, and then when
your ratchets up on him. He might want to it's
so great that it's like, why is it Luca winning?
And now he's not as held in higher as high
regard because he's not winning.
Speaker 4 (19:49):
Luca might be like, I need to go somewhere.
Speaker 3 (19:51):
Else and win.
Speaker 1 (19:52):
I mean, Lebron left Cleveland said I need to get
out of here if I want to win.
Speaker 5 (19:56):
Yep eight seven seven ninety nine. On Fox, let's go
to Due and Michigan. You're on the odd couple. Fox
Sports Radio. What's up, Dre?
Speaker 9 (20:03):
What's going on?
Speaker 1 (20:04):
Fellas?
Speaker 3 (20:05):
Are some man?
Speaker 9 (20:06):
Oh man, I'm great, Man, I gotta I gotta stand
up on behalf of Christmas shry right quick. But last
night's uh tires and traviler tywer trivia, Yeah, Rob, that
was your disappointment. Man, that was blatant cheating last night.
Speaker 5 (20:22):
Thank you you're from Thank you you're from Michigan.
Speaker 3 (20:25):
You want to do me like that?
Speaker 9 (20:30):
Rob? You always talk about the integrity of the game,
and all I'm gonna say is you took one of
the easiest role to victory. It's almost if somebody had
to carry you.
Speaker 3 (20:39):
Which one? What did I say that?
Speaker 5 (20:41):
You say that I took an easy role the whole thing.
Speaker 9 (20:47):
Anthony Hopkins. Wasn't that like last week when Chris was out?
Speaker 4 (20:52):
He man, I'm telling it's just you.
Speaker 3 (20:55):
You hit it on the head.
Speaker 9 (21:00):
Yesterday, Rob, the way you were acting yesterday with Leger.
I didn't like what you bro right right, Yo, damn
my boyd. I couldn't let y'all do that, Thank you,
but no, but yeah, look at don't have to change.
He's gonna have to change his ways because he's one
of those players like Lebron wasn't.
Speaker 6 (21:19):
But he's the.
Speaker 4 (21:22):
Well did we lose him?
Speaker 3 (21:24):
Yeah? Okay, sorry about that, Drea phone cut all right, all.
Speaker 1 (21:30):
Right, Uh it is the eye couple Christen Rob eight
seven seven ninety nine on Fox the number. But uh,
keep it locked right here. We'll be right back after
I Low gives us the update.
Speaker 4 (21:42):
I loo.
Speaker 3 (21:42):
Yeah.
Speaker 10 (21:43):
We start with some breaking Fox Sports Radio news when
caller Dre mysteriously was disconnected. Anchor Isaac Lonkrawn through the
glass observed suspicious movements of Rob Parker's right index finger
after Dre had signed with Chris Broussard.
Speaker 3 (21:59):
Yeah, comments, sir.
Speaker 4 (22:01):
No comment right on your money.
Speaker 3 (22:04):
I can't believe you're gonna drop dime on me? Is
that what it costs for a phone call? Now do
we drop dime?
Speaker 2 (22:09):

Speaker 3 (22:45):
All right, Uh, Rob, Tiki Barber.
Speaker 1 (22:48):
There's there's talked it, say Kwan Barkley, the Giants running
back may sign with the Philadelphia Eagles, and uh Tiki Barber,
the Giants great himself running back is none to please.
Speaker 3 (23:03):
Here's Steck.
Speaker 8 (23:04):
The fact that Saquon would even contemplate going to play
for that team in Philadelphia is insulting to his Giant
history and legacy. Takuan very well not be a New
York Giant. I know that Joe Shane is having conversations,
but it just doesn't feel like it's going to work out.
Go to Baltimore, go to Houston, go to LA Chargers.
(23:27):
Do not go to the Philadelphia Eagles because if you do,
that appreciation and respect and reverence that we all have
for you, Saquan will be lost, It'll be gone.
Speaker 4 (23:38):
We want Wow.
Speaker 5 (23:41):
Tiki is talking nonsense, absolute nonsense. He has some nerve
to get up there. This is what I talk about
Chris all the time. I remember when the Giants organization
and ownership was criticized about the lack of black coaching.
I think they have five black assistant coaches in the
history of their franchise. He went out and cried it
(24:03):
coach and no heck and up blubberd for ownership that they.
Speaker 3 (24:06):
Didn't you raising and you need me.
Speaker 5 (24:10):
Yet he had a Glizzie in my mouth. He is
the ultimate, the ultimate company man for the Giants. This
is the guy that walked away for the Giants to
go to the Today's Show, Chris and guess what they want?
A Super Bowl without him. That's the guy he's now
talking about. Did did they did they take care of Sakwan?
Speaker 3 (24:31):
Chris? He's gonna tell him what deal he should take.
Speaker 5 (24:35):
The Giants said, Hey, not only are we not gonna
pay you and you're held out. They barely gave the
didn't eve give him a raise when he came back.
They made him grovel for what he had for that
one year, Chris. And this year they're not gonna franchise
tag him. They're not gonna pay him.
Speaker 3 (24:50):
All bets are off, Tiki. What are you talking about?
Speaker 5 (24:55):
If the best dealers with the Philadelphia Eagles, Chris, where's
my pen? I'm signing he doesn't owe the Giants anything
to damn with being able to come back and go
sit in the suite or get that gift bag at
Christmas time? Why would you want anything from the Giants?
They drafted you as a top pick in the first round,
(25:17):
only to not when you gave your blood, sweat and
tears for that organization, Chris, not to give you a
contract and pay you and you They paid Daniel Jones,
a middle of the road nothing quarterback, and he's supposed
to have an allegiance and a loyalty to the New
York Football Giants.
Speaker 3 (25:36):
F No, stop it. Wow, wow, I'm serious, Chris, I
am with you.
Speaker 4 (25:45):
I mean, I don't know what in the world's he got?
Speaker 3 (25:48):
The world is he talking about.
Speaker 1 (25:50):
And to me, it ain't about him being a company man.
It ain't about, like you said, the Giants not taking
care of he I mean, yeah, I get not taking
care of You're right, all that.
Speaker 3 (26:01):
Stuff is true, But I don't care.
Speaker 1 (26:05):
If he won a Super Bowl with the Giants, why
are you gonna tell him he can't go to the
Philadelphia Eagle? I mean, really, this is this professional sports man.
What are you talking about. You can go play where
you want, go where the money's at.
Speaker 4 (26:29):
And go where you know you feel most comfortable.
Speaker 1 (26:33):
Tell a man he can't go play for this sea
The Giants are freaking horrible.
Speaker 3 (26:37):
Guess what, You're not the Eagles rival right now. I
get it.
Speaker 1 (26:43):
That is a division foe and you've had battles in
the past, But right now, y'all stink. You're not even
a thought on the Giant in the Eagles life. If
Sakwi Barley he goes to Philadelphia, he's in a better situation.
Speaker 3 (27:03):
He just stay with the Giants in stink.
Speaker 5 (27:06):
I don't even get it. I'm serious, Chris. And that's
why I said the company man roll because what and
what as a running back, Chris? And the way that
the system is set up, and how do you guys,
don't you gotta take the dollars no matter where they
come from. I'm sorry, you can't play that game. This
(27:27):
ain't the NFL in nineteen seventy when nobody got traded.
Speaker 1 (27:31):
Christ Maybe he I mean hopefully he minut tongue in cheek.
Speaker 4 (27:37):
I wouldn't be surprised if a few days.
Speaker 1 (27:40):
From now there's a retraction or clarification or you know,
something like that, because this is ridiculous.
Speaker 5 (27:47):
It's the most ridiculous thing I've heard. I just just
I don't. I know, he's doing a local radio show
in New York and does that play well with the
Giants fans. He's playing to the home crowd. But I
just can't consider what sa Quan has been through, Chris,
I just can't buy that he wants.
Speaker 3 (28:09):
To be a Giant.
Speaker 1 (28:10):
He's from New Jersey, Yes, he grew up as a
Giants fan player. Since he's been there, at least best
offensive player, and they haven't taken care of him, like you.
All that you said was true, and and you put that.
I mean, first of all, he you have the right
to go wherever he wants.
Speaker 3 (28:26):
Anyway, right that's what.
Speaker 1 (28:28):
That's what all of that, the way they've mistreated him.
Speaker 4 (28:33):
Come on, come on, Tinky's tripping.
Speaker 3 (28:37):
He is tripping.
Speaker 5 (28:38):
I can't believe another football player Chris and a running back, you.
Speaker 3 (28:44):
Know what I mean? Like when Tiky wasn't running.
Speaker 5 (28:46):
Back into the audience, Yeah, he was making money back then,
they're not making money now they're not signing that not
not one talented running back. Chris got franchise tag, not one.
And Tiki's telling her.
Speaker 1 (29:00):
You know what, because because the franchise hag would be
about twelve million.
Speaker 4 (29:05):
Were not even We're not even none of them.
Speaker 3 (29:07):
Were gonna get twelve million none. Yep.
Speaker 4 (29:11):
So they're like, so now that tag is gonna start
coming down.
Speaker 5 (29:13):
Josh Jacobs led the league the year before Chris couldn't
get a deal, yep, come on, yep.
Speaker 4 (29:20):
I mean, but.
Speaker 1 (29:20):
Tiki to your point, like, why not go to bat
for the running backs?
Speaker 4 (29:24):
Tiki? Why not go to bat for them?
Speaker 1 (29:28):
Why not be like you know what, I hope he
goes to Philadelphia and twice a year, the Giants are
gonna get a taste of what they could have had.
Speaker 4 (29:37):
Like, I hope he runs it down their throat for
one hundred yards and they win a super Bowl.
Speaker 1 (29:43):
He was a super Bowl with the Philadelphi Eagles because
he's a hometown kid, a home area kid who wanted
to be a giant, and y'all mistreated him.
Speaker 3 (29:53):
So you get, you get your just desserts.
Speaker 5 (29:56):
Now that you want to have a hot take in
a local radio, that's the I take, Chris. That's the
one where people go, Wow, did you hear Tiki take
the Giants to task? You ain't gonna hear that. Tiki
want to go to the games? Tiki want the gift
bag at Christmas. I can't imagine Eddie George saying that
to Derrick Henry with the Ravens.
Speaker 4 (30:17):
Or going to the Ravens a Henry go where he will?
Speaker 5 (30:19):
Of course he is. Why would Eddie George be like, Oh,
you can't do that? What are you doing? You can't
go there? You gotta stay with the Titans. Are you kidding?
Speaker 11 (30:29):
No?
Speaker 1 (30:29):
It's it's that's that's disappointing from Tiki because he should.
Speaker 4 (30:34):
I mean, like you say, as a player, just you're
a player.
Speaker 1 (30:37):
First, he understands that this is a short you got
a short shelf life. In fact, there's a running back
is shorter than ever than any other position, and he
should understand he gotta go get his loop and that
the Giants haven't treated anymore.
Speaker 5 (30:54):
It'd be different, Chris, if the Giants are offering the
same thing as the Eagles or that, you know what
I mean, what you said, man, you should stay with
even if.
Speaker 4 (31:02):
They aren't, honestly in what situation.
Speaker 3 (31:04):
I mean, yeah, he would have been right.
Speaker 5 (31:06):
But you know what I'm saying, like you can make
that case that that you're a Giant, you know what
I mean, from the beginning they drafted you. Yep, do
you know what I mean? Like if it was the
same deal, but it ain't.
Speaker 3 (31:19):
No, Yeah, that that.
Speaker 1 (31:20):
That's very I'm just I don't understand what Tiki was
thinking on that. I really don't. It's not a good
look at all for him, all right. And I'm not
saying Philly is the place. I mean, Philly would be
a good place for say Kwan. I love Houston, Rob,
I love him in Houston with CJ. Stroud, But Philly
that's a good situation too, There's no question about it,
(31:42):
all right.
Speaker 3 (31:43):
It is the odd couple.
Speaker 1 (31:44):
Chris and Rob here on Fox Sports Radio, and y'all

Here we go, I guess, he emphasized a d.
Speaker 3 (32:37):
Wait what didn't work?
Speaker 4 (32:39):
Where are we going?
Speaker 3 (32:41):
Where are we going? Right now?
Speaker 4 (32:43):
Rob G said failed miserably.
Speaker 3 (32:46):
What did you say?
Speaker 9 (32:49):
Wow?
Speaker 3 (32:50):
I tried. I tried. It just didn't happen.
Speaker 5 (32:55):
I got a hold of it over my head for
the work, because you have a beautiful baby daughter, beautiful daughter,
and you're gonna like hold it over my head.
Speaker 1 (33:03):
Rob, you feel bad.
Speaker 3 (33:07):
I apologize that was off? Color was blue?
Speaker 5 (33:11):
Right?
Speaker 3 (33:11):
You know what I mean? Alex? You see how they
do the guy with.
Speaker 11 (33:15):
I know?
Speaker 3 (33:16):
Wow? All right?
Speaker 4 (33:18):
I was in basketball.
Speaker 3 (33:20):
I wanted a wifle.
Speaker 12 (33:21):
Alex too plays the was it the heavy won? Whatever? White,
all right, just liking basketball. A successful game.
Speaker 1 (33:34):

Speaker 1 (33:57):
Hosts for bragging rights to see who has the better
tournament bracket. Rob, g, do we have sound of Aaron Rodgers? Okay,
Air Rodgers on a podcast? I can't remember the guy's name,
Eddie Bravo, I think, But yes, so Aaron Rodgers.
Speaker 4 (34:13):
Rob, You think he just wants to play next year?
Speaker 3 (34:17):
I think again?
Speaker 11 (34:19):
How can I be my best with my diet today,
with my fluid and take you know, just everything down
to a tee to try and get better. And I
got back on the practice field late in the season,
and you know, couldn't get to a top speed sprinting,
but really been in a good place three wise from
the start and feeling really good. And you know, again,
(34:42):
I'm hopeful I can play two or three or four
more years, but you need to have some good fortune
there too, you know what.
Speaker 5 (34:48):
Chris would I really wanted to hear and Rogers say,
you know, I'm trying to get past four snaps and
then we'll.
Speaker 3 (34:54):
Go from there.
Speaker 5 (34:57):
I mean, I get it. You know, guys get to
play longer. Lebron's in season twenty one in the NBA
and Tom Brady.
Speaker 3 (35:06):
Play till he was fifty five or forty five, whatever
it was. So that's natural and not maybe.
Speaker 4 (35:13):
And the only way I could see Tyson's fighting.
Speaker 5 (35:15):
Mike Tyson's at fifty eight is fighting exactly.
Speaker 3 (35:18):
There you go. I'm glad you brought that up.
Speaker 5 (35:20):
But the one thing I guess is I guess by
saying that, that takes off a little bit of the
pressure and the conversation about this being his last season?
Speaker 3 (35:31):
Do you know what I mean?
Speaker 5 (35:32):
Like, because then then the whole talk will be is
this is one song? Is this the last time? Aaron Rodgers?
Speaker 3 (35:38):
You know what I mean? Like like like that's a positive? Right?
Would you agree with that? Like like that? Because that's me.
Speaker 1 (35:45):
He doesn't need Now you can argue you don't need
to talk about playing long I mean, you can say
it in a way that's not.
Speaker 4 (35:51):
Two, three, four years, but you get them. But you're right.
If he comes out and says, hey, this is it,
I mean.
Speaker 3 (35:57):
We we then it becomes the storyline.
Speaker 1 (36:00):
Last year, we're gonna go for it. This year we
got one shot. Yes, that's a great point.
Speaker 4 (36:04):
That's great.
Speaker 5 (36:05):
That's the only way I see this as productive or positive.
I doubt that he plays three or four years. I
just can't see it.
Speaker 1 (36:13):
I think what's more realistic, rob is that this is
his last season, that he goes out is okay, not great. Okay,
maybe they have a decent season but missed the playoffs
and then he hangs it up. I think that's the
(36:33):
most realistic scenario. Now, last year I gave him a shot.
Last year, I said, you know what, I'm a better
on them to make the playoffs. And obviously who knows
what he would have played like had he not gotten hurt.
But now Robbie's two years removed from playing great football,
and he's forty and will be forty one before.
Speaker 4 (36:54):
The season's over.
Speaker 1 (36:55):
I mean, he's in a new I know he's gotten
that Hackett, so he'll be you know, and dictate the system.
But I just think, Rob, why would we think It's
not like the last year we saw him play, he
was great.
Speaker 3 (37:12):
In fact, the Packers were better this year without.
Speaker 1 (37:15):
Him, And so why what what reason? Other than we
get it. He he's an all time great. But now
at forty, why would we think he's gonna come out
and have some tremendous year and then, as you said.
Speaker 4 (37:29):
Be able to play three or four years.
Speaker 5 (37:31):
Well that's the part. I don't know about the comeback
and whether or not. I just remember he was buried
a few years ago too, me and Bucky Brooks young,
I know, but he still was buried. Bucky brook said
he was finished. He couldn't play one back to back MVPs.
I mean, I'm I'm not saying I think that was
the two different things.
Speaker 4 (37:50):
He was okay, but break got a new coach.
Speaker 3 (37:52):
But that's what.
Speaker 5 (37:53):
But I'm just saying Bucky Brooks was wrong about that.
I put it on Buckie because he was way wrong.
Speaker 3 (37:58):
You've been wrong too. He was way long when Bucket
said Tom Brady was done in twenty twelve. When we
bring that up every week, yep, you do. And when
Bucky Brooks has his own radio show. He can bring
it up. How's that? But this is our radio show, so.
Speaker 5 (38:14):
I get to bring it up. And that's my point
that he's on. You got to answer, well, we're not
having Bucky on.
Speaker 4 (38:20):
You run and not ask questions.
Speaker 3 (38:22):
What are you talking about? Lost Bucky's number, rob g
lost his number. I had nothing to do.
Speaker 4 (38:26):
I got his number.
Speaker 3 (38:29):
Fact, let me call. But you don't mean no, I
have nothing.
Speaker 5 (38:33):
But I mean I'm not saying he's coming back to
win an MVP, Chris. But their quarterback play doesn't need
to be spectacular. If the defense is good, it just
needs to be good, not spectacular. Would you agree with that?
The quarterback.
Speaker 1 (38:52):
He doesn't have to be he needs to be good.
Speaker 3 (38:55):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (38:56):
But the AFC, I mean depends on what what the
goal is. If the goal is super Bowl, he's gotta
be great. They're not getting in the AFC. They're not
getting through the AFC without him playing great. I don't know,
maybe maybe make I mean Kansas City with defense, I
mean defense is the biggest Patrick Mahomes, I mean that.
Speaker 5 (39:16):
Buffalo's cleaning house, Rogers, Buffalo's cleaning house.
Speaker 3 (39:20):
There's a there's an opening there. If he's decent, really Yeah.
Speaker 1 (39:24):
I don't think so, because Buffalo hadn't clean the house
on that offense, and their defense last year with all
those injuries, was still top five in the league. So
I think Buffalo is still gonna be there. Miami will
be around, obviously. The FC North Chargers now are gonna
be good.
Speaker 5 (39:40):
Like I called it, I told you they were gonna
be the Mets, didn't I tell you that before the
season started.
Speaker 3 (39:45):
I told you you all over the place. I know
I was right, though I was right. He's gonna be great.
They gonna be He's gonna be great. I did say that,
all right, Rob, have a great weekend, brother.
Speaker 4 (39:59):
We are out purs
