Rob g uh Yannis.

Speaker 4 (02:09):
You know, the media days have been happening all around
the association, and they got to talk to Jannis from
the Milwauke remotely thought.

Speaker 5 (02:21):
Because you know, it's one of the few people still.

Speaker 6 (02:22):
Gets COVID these days and actually takes time away which
is wild, But yes, you.

Speaker 3 (02:28):
Want to show it the work. Yeah, us, I love basket.
Don't call for me with you, Rob.

Speaker 5 (02:37):
Apparently, Rob says he's the only guy who never got

Speaker 3 (02:40):
Still, first of all, I've been here what he had.
He just ain't test.

Speaker 5 (02:44):
Tell nobody. He's just talking about, why do I have.

Speaker 3 (02:48):
To have it?

Speaker 5 (02:48):
I don't have it. I don't get it. Did you test?

Speaker 4 (02:51):
You know, and you're gonna put that. Don't don't talk
about that right now because you.

Speaker 5 (02:56):
Know what I'm saying. You know, Bob streating COVID like
Ages of the Night.

Speaker 6 (03:01):
No, stop, don't even talk about it because someone's gonna
bring it in and I don't want it.

Speaker 3 (03:05):
No, you don't put that in an atmosphere. I'm good.

Speaker 6 (03:10):
Stop as an emergency, just in case he's getting vitamins
he levels up. But yes, Yannis, I did the Goobo
missed Bucks media day because he had the rona. He
was doing it viazooms. Why we don't have sound of it,
but he was asked by reporters, hey, we heard it
was while reported by several people, including ESPN Shaan Sharanya,

(03:31):
that you were considering demanding a trade out of Milwaukee,
and Yannis, being the stand up guy that he is,
confirmed it. Here's what he said quote of course, yes,
every summer, their truth through every report. I want to
be on a team that gives me a chance to
win a championship. It's at a service to the game
to not want it compat at high level to win
your season in April. It's not the first time. I

(03:53):
had the same thoughts last year, two years ago, five
years ago. It's never gonna change. I want to be
among the best, complete with the best, and win another championship.

Speaker 5 (04:02):
Period.

Speaker 1 (04:06):
This is where we start to get into the pantheons
and greats, right. This is where we start to have
conversations of the pecking order or your top ten, your
top fifteen, and your top twenty. And for me, I've
said this, You and I have talked about it last season,
during the NBA postseason, even just during the season. I
expect more Auto Giannis Antetokounmpo, the Greek freak. I want

(04:28):
more out of him. He is a phenomenal player. He's
an MVP candidate every year. He had an incredible season
again last year, putting up MVP type numbers. He is
a nine time All Star, nine time All NBA. This
is another great one, five time All Defensive, two time MVP,
All Star, MVP, top seventy five player all time, and

(04:52):
then we go finals MVP. We can go on and
on and on. And this is why my expectations are
higher for him. This is why I won him in
the Leastern Conference is what we call it. Why hasn't
he been to the finals a couple more time. I'm
not saying he has have three four rings already. He
still has another six seven years of a really good career.

(05:12):
But I'm saying he should be in the finals a
couple more times. He should be guys that are competing
for it finals instead of us coming into the season
not even thinking about the Bucks. And there's too many
seasons where we don't think about the Bucks for him
to be on the team. And what's the point of
being just that great where you're an MVP candidate in
the Leastern Conference where you have a chance. There's no
Bohemoth in the Eastern Conference, right, He's not dealing with

(05:34):
the Warriors of the West where I can't get past him.
So I think if he was sitting right here in
his third chair, he will be like Yo Dub, I'm
with you, I should be in the finals more often.
I should have maybe one more ring, and I want
him to be competing for that year in year out
instead of coming to the year And you're like, eh,
that maybe be a three seed for like you don't

(05:55):
have a high of enough expectation and it doesn't make
any sense because he didn't come in highly touted. We
didn't really know him like that. But now you look
at a guy like Yo Kich, same thing. Yokich, All right,
you're an MVP candidate every year. I'm expecting you to
be in the finals more because again, when we typically
get that caliber player in the NBA, it's usually followed
with some type of dominance, Right, you get a bunch

(06:16):
of MVPs with Tim Duncany stays relevantly in the finals.
Obviously to win a five. Lebron stayed in the finals,
Steph stayed in the finals. Kd once he got with Doors,
stayed in the finals. They don't even go back in
the day Isaiah Thomas in The Birds and Magic. So
he's too good to if another five, six, seven years
career ends another MVP or two and he walked away

(06:37):
with one finals appearance, one final win, that would be
disappointing for the greatness. I mean, his reference page is
littered with credentials. Litter you know how you click on
the more, it's just kiped falling down with credentials. And
I think it's okay and fair to have a higher
expectation for the caliber player that he is, especially in
the conference where there's no dominance. There's not like he's

(06:58):
playing twenty twelve through eighteen, Lebron.

Speaker 4 (07:02):
I couldnot disagree with you more and I think I'll
just give you a list. Carl Malone, Charles Barkley, John Stockton,
Patrick Malone, Patrick Ewing, Reggie Miller, Alan Iverson, Elgin bal Or,
Steve Nash, Chris Paul. What are all those great players
have in common? They never won a championship, So Joannas

(07:23):
know it. So Jannis is a Maine man in the
NBA and he's already won a couple of MVPs. He
won a championship in Milwaukee with nobody, with nobody win
out another top fifty player. And I'm not saying he
doesn't want to win, but he did the unthinkable. Everybody

(07:47):
was like, you're crazy, why would you stay in Milwaukee.
I heard all you'll never win, go to the Miami Heat.

Speaker 3 (07:55):
You remember that.

Speaker 4 (07:56):
He could have asked out, go to Miami, go to Dove,
go play with Lebron, go do something else. It was
all out there, and he said, no, I'm not with
all that. I'm not working out with these guys. I'm
not doing any of that. I'm my own dog.

Speaker 3 (08:11):
And he won his own championship.

Speaker 4 (08:14):
That championship there, to me, means so much more than
if you go team up with other people.

Speaker 5 (08:21):
This is one that he earned.

Speaker 4 (08:23):
He has mad respect from people because he was able
to put it together, able to win a championship in
a place that normally doesn't win, that normally doesn't win.
And that is what you want, is to be able
to win. And he's done all that. Now if he
gets another one, that would be great. But to look

(08:45):
down on Giannis's career in Milwaukee and say he didn't
accomplish enough, please, I just gave you up. Some of
these great player Chris Paul has been on a gazillion
team with a gazillion guys and he can't win.

Speaker 5 (09:01):
It ain't that easy to win.

Speaker 4 (09:04):
Ask Lebrono's played twenty four twenty three years and got
four championships, and you're gonna look at Giannis and question like, oh,
he didn't know his career, it wasn't that great because
he only won one time?

Speaker 3 (09:18):
Are you kidding me? I think we are totally lost sight.

Speaker 4 (09:25):
Ask how hard it is to win because a couple
of people have.

Speaker 3 (09:29):
Won a lot, and and and and.

Speaker 4 (09:31):
You think everybody should be Tom Brady or everybody should
be Michael Jordan.

Speaker 5 (09:36):
Those are those.

Speaker 3 (09:37):
Are not the guys, uh, that are normal.

Speaker 4 (09:40):
Most people don't get to win, or if they win,
they win one time, and they're very fortunate for that.

Speaker 3 (09:48):
This is where we disagree.

Speaker 1 (09:50):
If you're talking baseball or football, I'd give you that
more than the NBA. In the NBA, when you're that
guy and you and you've kind of locked in, you
have a chance to compete for a very long time
because there's just five men on the court. And if
you're that dominant, especially a guy like him, on both
ends of the floor.

Speaker 5 (10:06):
You typically do I mean, look at Kawhi Leonard.

Speaker 1 (10:09):
He obviously was with the Spurs organization, but then he
goes and wins with Toronto and then he's competitive at
least with the Clippers when he's healthy and when he's there,
when he shows up. And my point is, Giannis is
not even near the finals. It's let alone win another ring.
He's not even in the finals competing. He's not losing
heartbreakers in game sevens and man, I had a chance.

(10:30):
If I'm Charles Barker, I just lost to Jordan. He's
not even doing that, and that's the part to me,
For me, that is more disappointing. Again, I don't expect
him to walk around and do the Michael Jordan with
the six rings picture on a Sports Illustrated whatever it was.
But Dagett, you're too good, too talented, year in year
out to not even be a thing, to not even

(10:50):
be competing. And that's all I'm saying is I expect
him to be competing and not going on the door
at least he ain't even in the room.

Speaker 4 (10:57):
Yeah, but I just think that people are way to
thinking that you're supposed to win or be in the
finals every year.

Speaker 5 (11:03):
It just doesn't work like that. And that's why I
gave you.

Speaker 4 (11:06):
I just gave you fifteen names of great, great players
who didn't get a chance to win a championship and
nobody's gonna look at Charles Barkley and say he wasn't
a great player, or Patrick Ewing, a guy I covered,
or Steve Nash who won two MVPs or whatever.

Speaker 3 (11:22):
And Giannis has done all that.

Speaker 4 (11:23):
And that's what I'm so impressed by is he did
win two MVPs. He did win a championship on his own,
Like like that championship for a lot of people would
be better than going to tack on and be on
some other team and you're not the main guy. Yannis
won that in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, of all places.

Speaker 1 (11:43):
What you want that man to do? Robert tired, Yo,
I gotta ring him out. No, he wants to say
that he's just so good to be out. I don't
know why he is one in seven. This is how
many in the last two playoffs he has one win.

Speaker 5 (11:59):
No MVP.

Speaker 4 (12:00):
They should be walking around with here with one win.
Lebron got swept out. Oh no, they won one game.
I'm sorry in the first round.

Speaker 5 (12:08):
We'll Luka.

Speaker 1 (12:09):
Lebron is sixty seven years old, all right, I'm not
even sure he's not seventy two. And that's a horrible
los especially we got Luca. But my point is Gianni's
is too good to have only one game in the
last two postseasons. That don't make any sense. He's too dominant.
And that's all I'm saying. When you're when you're typically
that guy, then once you've ascended to that height, and

(12:29):
and by the way, I'm gona be having the same
conversation about yo kids here. This is this is what
it comes with when you're this good, that is great.
It's not a question of are you an all time great?
We know that at all time great, We know that
it's where are you when it comes to starting to
get to chances and knocking on the door of championships.
Nobody asks you to be Jordan six and zero. But
that's all I'm saying, is you mentioned karmelon Karmelong got

(12:51):
to a couple. He's sitting there like, dang it, Dave,
it wasn't for Jordan, I might have a couple. That's
all I'm saying. Giannis is too good, too dominated. Red
Sox win.

Speaker 4 (12:59):
The game had the bases, the Yankees had the bases
loaded with nobody out, and havn't took it out on
his old team, and he was able to strike out Stanton.
He got Jash Chisholm on a weak fly ball of
right field which wasn't deep enough to get a run in,
and then he struck out Grisham. Yep, I want to

(13:19):
pitch that a two to two pitch that was definitely
not a strike.

Speaker 5 (13:22):
So there you go.

Speaker 3 (13:23):
Red Sox take game one, three to one in that series.

Speaker 1 (13:28):
Yeah, some good baseball, seriously, all right, A seven, seven
to ninety nine on Fox.

Speaker 3 (13:32):
If you want to get it, you expect more from Giannis?
Are you okay?

Speaker 7 (13:35):
Well?

Speaker 1 (13:35):
Where Giannis is right now? Do you feel like he
should be having more success in the NBA?

Speaker 3 (13:40):
Hit us up. We'll take that, don't forget. We got
j R.

pretty good at baseball. Not know if you knew that.

Speaker 3 (15:42):
What are he about?

Speaker 4 (15:43):
Two eighty four pretty good? Actually had fifty five home runs.
He hits home runs, met with nobody on base.

Speaker 1 (15:49):
You see what he did in his first Yeah, I saw,
Welcome to Wildcard Series. The Reds are in talent to
take a game just started, a man already at home run. Yes,
we'll talk some more about.

Speaker 5 (15:59):
That, all right.

Speaker 6 (15:59):
He was about six shades darker. He'd be on the
front pages whatever I think you might spot. I think
about a half shade darker. We're still trying to be
claiming the heck out of him. We're doing the family background,
just to say.

Speaker 5 (16:10):
I'm about to say I only need four percent.

Speaker 1 (16:12):
He will be on the cover of VMIB bro phone
calls talking about Giannis Onto Takompo, who said that he
did consider uh looking elsewhere aside from the Bucks. Robb
believes he's done enough there with the Bucks and he's
a made man.

Speaker 3 (16:23):
Got the one. I want more.

Speaker 4 (16:24):
I'm not saying that he can't win again, but he
like if his career was over. Championship in Milwaukee in
two MVPs, I'm taking I want more?

Speaker 3 (16:33):
Who we got?

Speaker 5 (16:35):
Jay in Harlem, you're on the couple of Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 3 (16:38):
What's up?

Speaker 5 (16:39):
Jay?

Speaker 7 (16:41):
Rob?

Speaker 4 (16:42):
Is this on listen?

Speaker 9 (16:46):
I'm totally with you.

Speaker 7 (16:48):
Jannis is done enough.

Speaker 10 (16:49):
We're talking about Milwaukee.

Speaker 7 (16:50):
Who's had nothing? Yes, two MVP's got a championship. This
all started for one person. Rob. Let's say it with me.

Speaker 5 (16:58):
Oh Bron James.

Speaker 7 (17:01):
He started the ring culture. He made the NBA to
what it is right now.

Speaker 10 (17:05):
It's unwatchable. Thanks Rob, appreciating.

Speaker 3 (17:07):
No doubt, Thank you, Jay, appreciate it. Lucky, We're trying
to get some more calls.

Speaker 4 (17:12):
What about Andrew Andre in Massachusetts?

Speaker 3 (17:15):
You're on the couple of Fox Sports Radio. What's up?
Dre lets you slide today, Jay.

Speaker 7 (17:20):
What's going on?

Speaker 9 (17:21):
Thanks for taking the call.

Speaker 6 (17:22):
Listen.

Speaker 9 (17:22):
I do put respect on Yon his name for staying
in Milwaukee and being loyal to the soil. But the
championship chasing is done because Milwaukee is nowhere near the Hunt.
Never mind it is the statern Conference, and they do
have injuries, but that's the team that fristball. They don't
have the star power A and then when they did
have it, when they had the jew Holidays, Chris Middleton's,
when they had a championship team, they want to head

(17:45):
and one Jannis wanted to gamble and go get damn
and shake things up and it didn't work out. So
do I respect him staying in one place and doing
it the old school way yet? But I don't see
him winning four five, You know, I don't see him
being in that conversation. He's not going to catch it
him Duncan's. He's not going to catch Lebron James one
maybe two in a Bill Walton way if he jumps

(18:05):
off later on in his career. But I do respect again,
that's what the Charles Barkley's and Patrick Gilligs and John
stocktors Nakarl Malone's that's where they do have a point,
meaning we stayed in one place. We tugged it out,
and you people want talk about what he get a
champions y'all.

Speaker 3 (18:19):
Got to relax.

Speaker 1 (18:19):
We pray, y'all got to relax with the Barkley stay
one place. Barkley was with the seventy six ers, with
the Suns, with Houston. Jakeem Elijen wants to see to
be winning some championships. Let me go team up with
stop me with the Barkley state one place. Please stocked
a gita. He played thirty two years. What's Utah Jazz?
I'll give you that.

Speaker 4 (18:36):
Who nicks Henry in Seattle? You're on the couple of
Fox Sports Radio. What's up Henry?

Speaker 7 (18:43):
Yeah?

Speaker 10 (18:43):
I mean, of course he's done enough to make the
Hall of Fame. We're not talking about that. I mean
there's levels of greatness, and in order for him to
get to that next level, he has to absolutely capitalize.

Speaker 2 (18:53):
You.

Speaker 10 (18:53):
This isn't Lebron who's the basketball IQ's off the charts,
or Katie who can or sets who can play untill
they're thirty seven, thirty eight in their prime. He's got
maybe one two three years. He needs all of his
athleticism and he's maybe got a couple more years in
his prime. And it's razor thin the difference between being
legendary and being on that next echelon of all time great.

(19:15):
And he understands that. Plus he's repping for a whole country,
and so he has to be paranoid and just absolutely
laser focus on trying to get as much as he
can in a very limited amount of time.

Speaker 1 (19:25):
Yeah, I'm with you here, Rid out Well stated Henry
all Right. Appreciate everybody with the calls. Thank you for that.
On the way we got file or fair with our
man Jr.

That's right, it is fouling affair.

Speaker 6 (20:13):
You're on the odd couple of Fox Sports rad We're
celebrating baseball tonight, Ladies and gentlemen.

Speaker 4 (20:18):
We certainly are all these games wall to wall, do
so properly.

Speaker 6 (20:22):
We had to bring in the guy who already has
a bust in Cooperstown?

Speaker 5 (20:26):
Is that right there next to Pete Road?

Speaker 3 (20:28):
You mean b b U S.

Speaker 6 (20:31):
Paul Cooperstown? I mean the bus station. Okay, he parked
a bus. My man, Gampbell, what's up?

Speaker 7 (20:44):
Sorry? I was sleep like the Yankees bats every playoff.

Speaker 4 (20:47):
Oh, shots fired at and they shot fire at me.

Speaker 3 (20:54):
The team went to the World Series last year. My god,
what's happening?

Speaker 7 (20:58):
I was asleep. I thought I was Evern judge for
a minute.

Speaker 5 (21:04):
That's a tease for a later question in this segment.

Speaker 3 (21:06):
I love it all right.

Speaker 6 (21:07):
I got three baseball questions because Jay started the segment.
You get the first crack at every single one. So
let's get to it. Judge had two hits tonight and
we'll talk about that later.

Speaker 5 (21:15):
Okay.

Speaker 6 (21:15):
My good number was The Angels dumped Ron Washington today
as their manager.

Speaker 5 (21:21):
What he was sick kind of surprise, they dumbed him.

Speaker 6 (21:24):
And now USA Today's bomb nine yell friend of the
show reporting that Michael Young, Tory Hunter, and Albert pooh
Hoole's Looma's candidates to take over the gig Jr. Given
how poorly that pool holes contract agent Anaheim is if
foul were fair to say, the Angels fans would hate
it if Albert became their next manager.

Speaker 7 (21:47):
America has been betty good to me. Now that is
a sal ball Angels fans to beggars. For one, Beggars
can't be chooses. Second, Ron Washington change the coaches somewhat
with the Angels, but he didn't get a chance to
finish the job. The Angels fans would I think love
Poohols as manager. Who wouldn't. He's one of the game's

(22:10):
greatest players, member of several prestigious clubs. You can't deny
he knows the game. He's a brand name to keep
the eyes on the Angels as they try to become
a playoff caliber team With Mike Trout, whatever happens, you
know as a player, hiring him as a manager will
make up for all of that.

Speaker 4 (22:28):
At this point, I think I'm gonna say fair that's
a fair ball. I mean, come on, the idea that
the Angels are gonna take a guy with no experience
what they've been through. They won a World Series that
was two thousand and two. They need to do a
real search and build on what they have here. All right,
some of the players, young players had good seasons. They

(22:50):
need to add another pitching to the star pitcher to
the top of the rotation. They're not out of it.
They didn't lose one hundred games this year. And the
idea of Albert Pooholfs being the guy going to sell
tickets and get people to see them, I'm not with that.
I want to see, if I'm an Angels fan, them
go out and hire the best manager available they once had.
Joe Madden did it. How do you know he's not

(23:11):
because he's never managed.

Speaker 1 (23:14):
It's file for me, and it's because of something you
just said. There no, I'm with you. It's filed that
they shouldn't be mad at they hire.

Speaker 3 (23:23):
I think it'd be.

Speaker 1 (23:23):
Listen, they got to try to keep some butts in
there in them seats, and also analytics.

Speaker 3 (23:28):
We know that.

Speaker 1 (23:29):
Man, these managers get hey, just go out there, do this,
do this. Here's what we say, just go do this.
So I mean they might as well put them out
there and just tell them what to do and it'll
look good and have a ceremonial face to preparade around town.

Speaker 7 (23:40):
Yes, there you go, Yeah, all right.

Speaker 6 (23:43):
Question number two foul affair with the couple JR. Gamble
with the Fellas guys. The Brewers not only said a
franchise record and led the majors in ninety seven wins,
they also finished second in the ra A third and
runs third and van Grass based running metric and eight
in outs above average.

Speaker 5 (23:59):
I even know what that is, but it's high.

Speaker 6 (24:01):
However, Vegas odds makers to only give them the fifth
best odds to win the World Series JR.

Speaker 5 (24:08):
Foul or fair to say.

Speaker 6 (24:09):
The brew crew is being disrespected by the wise guys
in the desert.

Speaker 7 (24:15):
Foul.

Speaker 5 (24:15):
That is a foul ball.

Speaker 7 (24:18):
I mean, as Rob Parker has mentioned many times before.
Aren't the Brewers, like, maybe I'll get these numbers wrong.
Two and eleven in the last thirteen playoff.

Speaker 4 (24:27):
Games, bing go babe, he's hurt my numbers on the
MLB network because I keep saying them they are have
lost eleven of their last thirteen playoff games exactly.

Speaker 7 (24:38):
So this is a familiar situation for the Brewers. They
have not given us any reason to think that they'll
be able to defend the Dodgers, defeat them more the Padres,
So we don't believe you you need more people.

Speaker 4 (24:55):
I'm gonna say foul as well, that is and only form.
I get what they did this year and all that,
but twenty nine to four at one stretch, did they
peak too soon?

Speaker 3 (25:06):
And their playoff history follows them.

Speaker 5 (25:08):
They've had really good years.

Speaker 3 (25:09):
Yeah, and I know they've beating the Dodgers this year.

Speaker 4 (25:12):
I think they swept the Dodgers if I'm getting honest right,
they swept them this year six games.

Speaker 3 (25:16):
But I do not.

Speaker 4 (25:18):
I think Vegas knows their history of postseason and that's
why they're not buying or banking in on Milwaukee.

Speaker 5 (25:26):
Fair disrespectful.

Speaker 1 (25:29):
They out here disrespecting people like it's Rodney Dangerfield.

Speaker 5 (25:32):
They can't get no respectful.

Speaker 1 (25:33):
You know, we're out here that if you're the Brewers,
you're looking at how successful they win led the Major
was ninety seven win you swept the team. Everybody thinks
it's the best in baseball on the Dodgers and they've
done it.

Speaker 5 (25:42):
Listen, We've seen teams win out.

Speaker 1 (25:45):
Of the Kansas City Royals, a lot of the Nationals
where it kind of came from the Rangers out of
the blue. We just sat up here talking about, you
don't know who's gonna win this season. So if they
are the Brewers, why not us? Is how I would
feel if I was the Brewers, all right?

Speaker 6 (25:59):
Last one Fowler Fair mlbbro dot Com Managing editor JR.
Gamble in with the odd couple. This one's for Rob Parker.

Speaker 3 (26:06):
Rob.

Speaker 5 (26:07):
We love you.

Speaker 6 (26:08):
Aaron Judge, Oh God, still hasn't figured it out in
the postseason, even including his two or four performers tonight. Historically,
his average drops ninety points and his OPS falls a
staggering two hundred and sixty points.

Speaker 4 (26:21):
He's betting five hundred this year in the postseason.

Speaker 3 (26:25):
He's betting five hundred.

Speaker 6 (26:26):
This posts sees the James Harden of baseball. So Jay, Wow,
if Judge never figures out his playoff foibles, is if
foul or fair to say he can never be considered
in all time Yankees great.

Speaker 7 (26:41):
I gotta be totally honest, he is.

Speaker 5 (26:44):
That is a foul ball.

Speaker 7 (26:47):
Come on, He's already an all time great in the
history of the game. So how can he be a
Yankee great? Easily?

Speaker 2 (26:54):
Right?

Speaker 10 (26:55):
Like easily?

Speaker 7 (26:55):
So I wouldn't know about Judge never hitting great in
the playoffs because that's not something I really consider because
baseball of the team sport. It is what it is.
You need your team to step up, players to play
above their heads or at least to that to another
level that they did during the season. Right, Bonds never
won one. Judge is twenty years left. It's baseball. All

(27:18):
it take is one series as playton Kershaw, you get
hot or you don't even get hot. Your team does
his job. It's not like it's the NBA. He's not
a boxer or golfer like cam and may say it
is what it is. The Castman and Boom through their
dagone job. Judge will win a championship. Tough loss tonight,
but it's game one. Man.

Speaker 3 (27:38):
Yeah, I'm gonna say that its foul as well.

Speaker 4 (27:40):
That is a shot and only no, no, no, only
from this standpoint, Barry Bonds is considered the great most players.
If you talk to them, say he's the greatest player.
And he didn't win or they lost in that two
thousand and two World Series to the Angels. And Ted
Williams played all those years in Boston, he never won.

Speaker 5 (27:57):
I think he went.

Speaker 4 (27:58):
I think he got a two hundred in one postseason performance, right,
you know. Uh so when you look at those situations there,
it's hard for those guys. Ted Williams and those guys
are all considered great players, all time greats, even though
they never won.

Speaker 7 (28:16):
And the Yankees are gonna keep going back. That's the
one thing that the Yankees have that other teams don't have,
right guarantee that I'll be in the playoffs every year.
No other team really is guaranteed that you know, the
judge is gonna be playing.

Speaker 5 (28:31):
You know what's foul?

Speaker 2 (28:32):
Foul?

Speaker 1 (28:33):
You going over over time, jay, I, that's what it is.
Foul right now? You going over there say foul ball. No,
my answer is the opposite of you two, I say
it's fair, and I'll tell you why. The guys that
you mentioned, nobody's questioning his legacy as a great, all
time great.

Speaker 5 (28:49):
The question is is that if he never.

Speaker 1 (28:51):
Figures it out, is if fil or fair to say
he'll never be considered an all time.

Speaker 3 (28:54):
Great Yankee and the Yankee greats always win.

Speaker 1 (28:56):
Aaron Rodgers, Alex Rodriguez was a great, all time great,
but he had to figure it out with the Yankee specifically,
and he finally was able to do that. So to me, great, yes,
all time you know that, but the Yankees have a
million banners and penance and all of that, and so
for him, he wants to have some success with them specifically.

(29:17):
That's the thing that's the difference to me. No, we
all know he's an all time great, but Yankee greats
they typically win, and he's got to get that done.

Speaker 5 (29:25):
Noted baseball guy Kelvin Washington, that's.

Speaker 7 (29:27):
Falon try, you'll try.

Speaker 5 (29:30):
Team got a help now, without a doubt, it is
a team game. We know that, all right, no doubt.

Speaker 1 (29:37):
Appreciation as always, make sure you give him a follow
as always.

Speaker 3 (29:42):
Man, it's good stuff. Having Jr.

Cardiac Cowboys

Cardiac Cowboys

The heart was always off-limits to surgeons. Cutting into it spelled instant death for the patient. That is, until a ragtag group of doctors scattered across the Midwest and Texas decided to throw out the rule book. Working in makeshift laboratories and home garages, using medical devices made from scavenged machine parts and beer tubes, these men and women invented the field of open heart surgery. Odds are, someone you know is alive because of them. So why has history left them behind? Presented by Chris Pine, CARDIAC COWBOYS tells the gripping true story behind the birth of heart surgery, and the young, Greatest Generation doctors who made it happen. For years, they competed and feuded, racing to be the first, the best, and the most prolific. Some appeared on the cover of Time Magazine, operated on kings and advised presidents. Others ended up disgraced, penniless, and convicted of felonies. Together, they ignited a revolution in medicine, and changed the world.
