Speaker 3 (01:38):
Now we like.
Speaker 5 (01:39):
That's a thing.
Speaker 1 (01:40):
The fact that I'm walking by myself solo, Rob Gi

Hey man, they got the steven A Smith, you know,
a shirt oil or something, and hey, you want to
say anything about it? And I just laugh because obviously
you know I know him, but I don't know know him.
You do, that's your man's So I'm being funny, just
doing a little stopping. Just think it. He'll never even
see it, you know. Next thing, I know, he puts
it on his show before we go. I would like
to do a little something. So let me answer this question.
(02:12):
Kelvin Washington. I love what you're doing.
Speaker 5 (02:14):
Brother.
Speaker 1 (02:14):
Let me look at the camera. You and Robert great show.
And then he goes on his hands and now it's
a part of our show like Kelvin like, stuff is
don't you don't just the facts, just the facts, okay.
Speaker 4 (02:24):
And Rob and ROBJ and Alex know this, Like he
listens to the show and he was always been. And
he even said to me, you know, after Chris left
and you joined in, and that the shows sounds great
and he enjoys it. And I appreciate that, nocuse he
doesn't have to do that.
Speaker 5 (02:40):
Right, oh for sure. And that just and then just
that's what I mean. Life is ready.
Speaker 3 (02:44):
It's the man retired.
Speaker 1 (02:46):
Oh, Alex, Alex, I thought it was the day.
Speaker 3 (02:50):
I thought it was a day your six years was up? O,
Alex Aleix. Ain't that crazy?
Speaker 5 (02:55):
I was like, dang it, you need to be on
LinkedIn updating up the profile.
Speaker 3 (02:58):
All right.
Speaker 4 (03:00):
I want to bring you in because this happening is
going on with the Cleveland Browns and all the reports
coming out just are not good when when it comes
to sdor Sanders, I mean they just aren't.
Speaker 3 (03:14):
You could read in, you know, I read into it.
Speaker 4 (03:16):
No, Like if you read the stories, it doesn't sound
promising that he's going to be the starting quarterback, like
a lot of people are predicted whether it be the
start of the season or halfway through the season, or
the last four games of the season.
Speaker 3 (03:30):
It just doesn't sound like that.
Speaker 6 (03:31):
Rob g Yeah, and Browns camp is opening up this
week and like a lot of camps are around the league,
and of course, all eyes are on that four man
quarterback battle because it's been widely reported ESPN, NFL Network, CBS,
Fox Sports, the Cleveland Browns will not nt be keeping
four quarterbacks on the active roster.
Speaker 3 (03:50):
Most teams just don't do it.
Speaker 6 (03:51):
They will not be doing it. So obviously what that
means is one of these guys is gonna be the
auto man out and according to the late piece in
CBS Sports, there is a growing belief that the auto
man now is going to be Shaduur Senters.
Speaker 3 (04:05):
Here's the reason why. Number one.
Speaker 6 (04:08):
Joe Flacco, the oldest in the group, let the team
of the playoffs two years ago, so he's kind of
the leader in the clubhouse in that regard where they, hey,
we can count on this guy. We know what the
benchmark is. At a minimum, we're gonna be solid with
Joe Flacco. Kenny Pickett was reported last month by Mary
Kay Cabot that he is by all accounts said to
be the starter in week one, and I'm not traded
(04:29):
for him. They gave up assets, real pieces to get
Kenny Pickett, so you think it's not going to be him.
They moved down to the rookies. Dylan Gabriel, let's be honest,
whether you think he's worth it or not, was drafted
two rounds ahead of Shauduur Sanders, which means, if we
do prostant elimination, should dour Sanders be number four in
the depth chart? Should dour Sanders be the guy who's
(04:50):
a price to card quarterback, which means he would be
eligible to be claimed off of waivers by any other
team in the NFL. So don't's start with you here?
What is the plan in Cleveland?
Speaker 1 (05:03):
They ain't got a plan once They just started drafting
quarterbacks and acting like they were Oprah. We got a quarterback,
we got a quarterback, They got all the quarterbacks. That's
when you know they don't have a plan. Because you
bring in Joe Flacco. Typically you bring in somebody like that,
it's to have him in the background. Like we have
a great Russell Wilson with Justin Fields. We've got a
guy who's been the Super Bowl winner, we got him
in the you know, we can break in case of emergency.
(05:25):
We've been to the playoffs with him. Good, he's in
the background. We have that safety valve. If you will
or if you go and you trade, as we mentioned,
to get Kenny Pickts. You say, Kenny Pickets our guy.
Speaker 3 (05:34):
Let's roll.
Speaker 1 (05:35):
We ready to roll, dude, they bring it in Vets
who might start? Wait, no, we trade for Kenny pick Okay, Wait,
we're gonna go get Dylan Gabriel. Wait no, we're gonna
get Shador. I don't think they know what they want
to do. And what makes it interesting to me? While
I still don't believe because if you continue to read
the reports, there's also reports owing by the way, Shador
actually probably could be the third quarterback in if you
(05:57):
keep reading all the reports. The reason I'm questioning this
is what was the goal of bringing your door in
if you knew you only wanted to carry three? Also,
why is he the guy that seems to be out
when by all accounts what we've heard, everything that's been
asked of him, he's done. He's obviously he was more
highly regarded than Dylan Gabriel. We all know that that's
(06:17):
not even refutable and coming out but because of allegedly
he interviewed wrong. Whatever, that's fine, but you draft him
for everything he's been asked to do as far as
on the field. So far, they'll get into training camp tomorrow.
He's done well at And so to me, where's the
other side and where's Dylan Gabriel. We ain't heard nothing
about Dylan Gabriel. Nobody's coming out raving about him. No
(06:39):
teammates are coming out Raby like, we haven't heard much.
And so to me, why what makes him better now?
Speaker 7 (06:45):
Rob?
Speaker 1 (06:45):
If he was a first round draft pick, we know
how this goes his business. I don't care if he
was throwing four interceptions. He's going to stick around. He
was our first round draft pick. If he was a
second round draft pick, I can still understand that a
third round draft pick that was already a reach. To
me makes it confusing on why he's just automatically or
at least presumed to automatically be the guy. I still
think they got training camp to go through. You don't
(07:08):
buy too much in the OTAs. This is where it
really starts for all of them, starting tomorrow. And I
still think Shaduur has to say in all of this,
here's my issue. You say you don't know what they're doing.
What they're doing is not allowing Shaduor to get first
team snaps where he is on the depth chart, and
(07:29):
this idea that they have some sort of secret plan
and they just want to hold shr door down is ridiculous.
Speaker 3 (07:35):
If there was any place that Shoudor should have excelled.
Speaker 4 (07:40):
And had a real chance, it's Cleveland because they haven't
had a quarterback, you know what I mean. And they
went to try to get Watson, Deshaun Watson, and that
didn't work out, so they're actually looking for a quarterback.
Speaker 3 (07:56):
Like, if you're the Browns and you.
Speaker 4 (07:59):
Really believe that you've lucked out and you got this
guy in the fifth round and this guy can can change.
Speaker 3 (08:07):
Things for you, you.
Speaker 1 (08:09):
Would be apt to do it. So this is why people.
Why can't people buy.
Speaker 4 (08:14):
Into the idea that maybe he isn't as advertised, because
if he was, everything points to that he should be
the guy. Right, Kenny Pikett hasn't done that much. Joe
flat goes Old Dylan who's in front of him.
Speaker 1 (08:31):
The idea that he's behind those three guys has to
tell you something, nobody, nobody.
Speaker 4 (08:38):
It's just like the Tom Brady thing. That's your mentor,
that's the guy who you worked out with.
Speaker 1 (08:44):
That's the guy who saw your heart and your desire
and what you got in.
Speaker 4 (08:49):
He knows your dad, he knows what DNA you come from.
And they had multiple picks where Tom Brady could have
been a smart guy in the.
Speaker 1 (08:57):
Room and said here's our quarterback of the Chador nothing.
You can't keep looking at everybody and saying they're all wrong.
There's something here that tells you that Chador is not
the guy for them because there's just too much. But
that's the thing that confuses me, is what is the
thing By all accounts, we've set up here for the
(09:19):
last about a month or so after the draft, and
then you start to have conversations. What we hear from
the GM Rob g oh Man, he looks great. I
can't lie. He looks really good. The only people he
can look through right now, and he looked great in
college to the tune of the Best completely Voice, they'd.
Speaker 3 (09:34):
Be one ranked team the whole time that when they played.
I'm not saying he was.
Speaker 1 (09:38):
Andrew, look, dude, dude battled with Caleb Williams, who ended
up being the number one pick. I'll duel him and
went back and forth. Dude comes to a team that
win one game and they go to six, then they
go to Wizard nine. My whole point is he's done
what he was supposed to do on a terrible offenser life.
He had me and you, Alex and Robb g blocking
for him and Steve blocking for him, and he was
still putting up crazy numbers, the highest completion percentage. So again,
(10:01):
he's not paid Manning. No, he's not Andrew Luck No.
But to the point of nobody in front of him
jumps out. I'm like, why is this the guy that
would then be the eye man out? By all accounts,
other teammates have come out. Man, he looks good out there. Man,
he looks he looks like he's got it. So I'm
just saying, Rob, what am I missing that all of
a sudden less, unless we come to find out he has,
(10:23):
he's just a rotten person. But everybody who it doesn't
have to be rotten. It's when you look at your pecking.
Speaker 5 (10:30):
Order and order ain't that ain't but that ain't be worried.
Speaker 4 (10:34):
But I just I just think that at some point
you have to come to terms that that maybe he's
just not the quarterback that you thought. There's a reason
that the Steelers or other teams that were looking could
have easily picked him.
Speaker 3 (10:46):
Earlier if they really believed that.
Speaker 1 (10:49):
I don't believe that anybody passed him over just to
pass him over, and I don't believe that just had
We just had Joel Corey on and he brought up
a great point that I've been saying sometimes in these leagues,
especially when it's not an obvious a Peyton Manning and
Cam Newton, somebody coming out. I was like, oh, shoot,
he's clear number one where you go shoot, what's wrong?
(11:11):
Are we missing something? I was shoot, I was gonna
get him, But maybe we are something going on. Maybe
we don't that that's them. That's dumb scouting. You don't
care what other people do. You know what people do,
and you did you do your due diligence. They had
two picks in the second round to get them too,
So the only reason after them was because the owner
(11:33):
showed up.
Speaker 4 (11:34):
You go look at the field, go look at the video.
The coach and the GM were like, I guess, so
what they did not want to draft.
Speaker 3 (11:41):
What due diligence did they do?
Speaker 1 (11:42):
They walcked away and said, Dylan Gabriel's that guy everybody had,
should do it a better report card than.
Speaker 3 (11:51):
Everybody didn't, because obviously.
Speaker 5 (11:53):
The phrase ninety eight percent of people had him.
Speaker 1 (11:56):
But there were other people that needed a quarterback and
none of them picked. This was a It was one
team that just didn't want them. There were other teams
that had. We were talking about it and bruding the Raiders, though.
Speaker 4 (12:08):
The Raiders are the ones that I think, what what
quarterback do they have that They've been looking.
Speaker 1 (12:13):
At Smithers their quarterback long term though, is what I'm saying.
They've been dying all the Browns quarterbacks put together. I'm
sorry if you really.
Speaker 4 (12:22):
Believe that Tom Brady went in there and told those guys, Dude,
I work out with this guy. He's he's my mentee.
I'm put my reputation in my name on the line.
Draft this guy. He's gonna be our quarterback of the future.
He come on, man, don't.
Speaker 1 (12:38):
Training camp starts tomorrow and all of them have a chance,
because to me, it's open for every last one of them.
Speaker 3 (12:44):
He's gonna be.
Speaker 1 (12:46):
No, I'm not saying that I think Joe was the
leader because Joe flaos leader. He's literally been with the
team already and he's won a playoff game, so he's
the leading candidate. But what I'm saying is they're not
a single person outside of the report or report that
Joe flaccol has where you go always clearly his because
Kenny Pickett ain't never shown us much. And then again
Dylan Gabriel, we ain't hurt nothing from him. And if
(13:08):
you're if you're schuder again, this is your chance to
make an aim because this is the opportunity none of
them are whowing. We're not walking into a Russell Wilson
killing it situation.
Speaker 4 (13:18):
You go create that, all right? Eight seven seven ninety
nine on Fox is our telephone number? And are the
Browns trying to humble Shador Sanders by having him fourth
on the depth chart or is it just that he's
not good like? Which one is it? We'll continue that
conversation next with you. We want to hear from you.
(13:40):

Oh yeah, this is MTV days. I was all into
the eighties. Are you can MTV? Back then?
Speaker 1 (15:25):
I didn't have cable at home in New York, so
when I went to Connecticut, Southern Connecticut, that was free
cable in the dorm room.
Speaker 3 (15:32):
Oh yeah, I was all great. Oh my kidding.
Speaker 1 (15:34):

talking about the Cleveland Browns. What are they doing with
the quarterback situation since Sador centers? Is he being held down?
Is he still got a shot at, you know, finding
a way to become the starter? Or you don't like
what they're doing there? Eight seven, seven ninety nine on
Fox we got Fraser in Stockton. You're on the odd
couple of Fox Sports Radio.
Speaker 3 (16:13):
What's up? Fraser?
Speaker 10 (16:14):
I think everybody should calm down and let's let's the Uh.
Speaker 7 (16:19):
That's a three season play out man, Brock Purdy was
was mister irrelevant?
Speaker 2 (16:26):
Right?
Speaker 1 (16:28):
And then.
Speaker 7 (16:31):
I haven't heard any any of the coaches.
Speaker 11 (16:34):
Say anything bad. So the only reports we have it
from pundon.
Speaker 3 (16:40):
I know when they made the depth chart, he was fourth.
What did that? The coaches made the depth chart? Okay,
three season.
Speaker 7 (16:47):
Depth chart, don't mean that's how you start.
Speaker 3 (16:50):
That's where you start. What are you talking about, Fraser?
That's where you start. That's why they put out a
depth chart.
Speaker 1 (16:58):
No, because if it was number one on on the
depth chart, you would say, see he's great, he's the
best quarterback.
Speaker 2 (17:06):
That's what. And he wasn't.
Speaker 11 (17:07):
He's give a man a chance to get what you mean?
Speaker 3 (17:15):
He was a psycond round pig.
Speaker 5 (17:17):
You're just a sympathized or you just Fraser.
Speaker 1 (17:22):
Athlete sympathize or that's what you are, an underdog athlete.
First off, both of y'all relaxed because you gotta say, Fraser,
I was with you too.
Speaker 5 (17:31):
You brought up Bronnie.
Speaker 1 (17:31):
Now Bronnie is to totally fresh Door played very well
in college to the tune of many people thinking he
was the first round, second round draft pick. And then
he drops a bit, but Bronnie got some ways to go.
I was with you on the door now, so mean
fourth of the draft on the depth chart. That's where
he's supposed to be right now. That going by the
guys Joe Flacko been here. We traded for Kenny, We
(17:52):
drafted deal a higher. He's supposed to be for it.
Now this week starts everything.
Speaker 7 (17:56):
Rob.
Speaker 1 (17:57):
All I'm gonna say is Fraser, that's why they canceled
your TV show, and you've been sad about it too.
Speaker 5 (18:02):
You love that show? All right?
Speaker 3 (18:03):
Who's next? Andre in Massachusetts? Thank you, Alex, you're on
the couple of Fox whats radio? What's up? Andre?
Speaker 7 (18:11):
Hey?
Speaker 10 (18:12):
How you doing?
Speaker 7 (18:12):
Thanks for taking a call. Yeah, Fraser was awesome as
a follow up to Cheers.
Speaker 3 (18:15):
That was a very funny show.
Speaker 5 (18:17):
It was that what we rather to do that one day?
What's the best follow up show?
Speaker 3 (18:20):
Yeah?
Speaker 5 (18:21):
Spin off? That might Actually that's a good come of
came you know what travel one.
Speaker 4 (18:25):
It wasn't Three's Company, you know what? The show to
follow that when they changed the show, remember that one
three is a crowd.
Speaker 3 (18:32):
They really tried that. Yeah, they tried that with with
the uh Jack what's his name?
Speaker 5 (18:37):
I forgot the past?
Speaker 1 (18:39):
Yeah, come out all right, Jack Tripper was a character
and you Robger ain't right nothing now, I told you
write them down, Write that down, Rogie?
Speaker 3 (18:47):
All right?
Speaker 5 (18:47):
He got right, Jovie, he'd been acting different.
Speaker 7 (18:51):
You got a couple of choos from in terms of
the follow up shows, but relative to Shador standards. You know,
I'm of the mindset, you know, you gotta go out
there and shine bright and earn your role. So if
Kelvin said, you know, he has a couple of guys
ahead of them. So that's where he is fourth in
the depth chart. There is some built in pressure that
them saying, we're only gonna keep three and you're starting
at four. But that's the preseason. We have to see it,
you know, and he's in a situation which honestly, you know,
(19:15):
hem he should want the pressure from the standpoint that
he's been slept on, he's been looked over, you know,
and so go out there in the preseason and show
give those flashes to make people say themselves, you know, hey,
they need to keep this guy. But on the other side,
the inverse of it, if he goes out there in
preseason and struggles, you know, the first thing everybody, you know,
the Sanders Dowterers are going to just gonna be he
should have been a fifth round pick. So it's a
(19:36):
good amount of pressure. But to George the confident guy,
so he should want this challenge that he has, but
he has to go out there and ball in the
preseason to earn his role, like any of the fifth
round pick. Thanks taking the.
Speaker 3 (19:45):
Call, no doubt, thank you. You wanna get one more?
Speaker 4 (19:48):
Yeah, Adriel in San Antonio, you're on the couple of
Fox Sports Radio, Adril, what's up?
Speaker 11 (19:58):
I think, guys, I really appreciate you guys of sometimes
real quick, just to appreciate you guys, I know, like
it was a rough patch of my life reacting where
I went through when you guys were church to me.
So I really appreciate you.
Speaker 1 (20:07):
Man.
Speaker 5 (20:10):
Don't be making our day like that, man, hopefully.
Speaker 11 (20:14):
Real quick I had, I went to Hey, no joke,
I got seven shrimp today. And all I did was
all I did was say I walked in and I
said happy Tuesday. I said, don't you go cheap on
me now, like joking around. So they did it right
and then real quick, I'm gonna up to this cowboys
real quick. But Joldn's gonna love this one. I find
it hard to believe when when Rob got aggressive with
(20:36):
the shrimp girl, with the shrimp girl, and then he
called the manager. He said, hey, make sure put him there.
But not only he got but not only he said
the shrimp girl he called the manager. So I find
it real hard to believe. Thank God he's not a
professional athlete right now, because I find it hard to
believe he's on the sideline on the Spurs bench and
somebody throws him a beer, and he's gonna say, good boy.
Speaker 1 (20:55):
Somebody page can somebody please page.
Speaker 11 (20:59):
That security because I just got hit by a buddy
like patting him in the head right now, and I'm
very I find it hard to believe he's gonna be
that exactly.
Speaker 3 (21:07):
You're going crazy over five shrimp.
Speaker 1 (21:09):
Somebody don't, Barrett, You're gonna be ready to have somebody's
head here, thank you, great.
Speaker 11 (21:13):
Point metal world peace style, Yeah, stopping you over.
Speaker 5 (21:17):
Here, ready to get the girl fired because she gave
you five shrimp.
Speaker 11 (21:20):
I don't even understand how it was. I love Rob too.
I thought about it all day, even say that that,
because I know, I know you can take a joke,
so I had this hand. But I'm like, yeah, somebody
paid the security card real quick.
Speaker 5 (21:32):
In other words, he called you a ken you Karen's
husband is with your child.
Speaker 3 (21:36):
I want to see the manager. Who's the manager of
this joint?
Speaker 5 (21:40):
People fired over here because she gave you five scrimp?
Speaker 3 (21:43):
Am I swimp?
Speaker 5 (21:44):
All right?
Speaker 3 (21:44):
Scrimps, mag you scrimps. Nobody counts food. They give you five.
Speaker 1 (21:49):
Pieces donald here for a shrimp. It's hard out here
right now, but that's the number they call it that
like you get the five people.
Speaker 3 (21:57):
What I'm saying, what I think about it.
Speaker 5 (21:58):
If they said you only get five shrim nobody would
buy it.
Speaker 1 (22:01):
No, but that they should have that sign on it
in parentheses, only five shrimp per box.
Speaker 5 (22:07):
They won't.
Speaker 1 (22:08):
And I'm like, now they getting tired around her. I
told you you go to the other place that has
a Southwest text Mexican. You know what I'm talking about.
And they owned this school. They own scoop some back.
That guacamole ain't hitting like it used to.
Speaker 3 (22:18):
Alex.
Speaker 1 (22:18):
They I mean, they brought up the little white plastics
there that you put chicken on. Whatever it was, they
put it on and then took us swear am I lying?
Rob G and Alex they are scooping back in the streets.
Speaker 3 (22:31):
I'm like, leave that chicken there.
Speaker 10 (22:33):
What are you doing?
Speaker 3 (22:36):
Rob G?
Speaker 5 (22:36):
That is what's trending right now. The streets want more
chicken and shrimp.
Speaker 3 (22:40):
Steve.
Speaker 2 (22:40):

All right, Steve, have a great night, get some scripts
on your way.
Speaker 1 (22:55):
Home if you choose to the Yah couple Robin Kelvin
on a trash talking to day. You know what we
like to do around this time. We like to do
foul or fair with our man, JR. Gamble that ball
is it was.
Speaker 2 (23:08):
A big week in the big leagues.
Speaker 5 (23:10):
Who's a who's a believe?
Speaker 3 (23:15):
Is it foul or is it fair?
Speaker 2 (23:18):
And now from mlbtbro dot Com, here's JR. Gamble.
Speaker 6 (23:24):
That's right, it's Fowler fair. Here on the Akaba Fox
Sports Radio saying where we invite in a legend a
man who has put mlbbro, dot com, dot org and
dot net on his back, all of them because Rob
Parker quite honestly has let the rope go a little bit.
None other man man himself, JR.
Speaker 10 (23:45):
Gamble, that's up, fellas, pay me what I'm working.
Speaker 6 (23:52):
That's right, that boy Caitlin Gamble on the li to
get him with shirt.
Speaker 3 (23:57):
Pay me what you owe me?
Speaker 5 (23:59):
Oh to Rob Parker, allright, got it? Rob Parker head
ain't looked up, sai.
Speaker 6 (24:04):
I know all of a sudden. Rob's always been amount
of the people until you gotta pay somebody.
Speaker 3 (24:08):
God only know we go.
Speaker 6 (24:11):
We got three baseball topics Jr. Is the star of
this segment. He gets the first crack at every single one,
So let's get to it, Jr. Forty five year old
Rich Hill got the start today for the Royals, becoming
the oldest starting pitcher in Major League Baseball since Bartola
Cologne in twenty eighteen. Right now, in addition to Hill,
(24:33):
there are only five other players in the majors today
that are over forty. So here's the question, foul or
fair to say that we won't see will not see
another forty five year old starter in the next ten years.
Speaker 10 (24:48):
There it's a fair ball. I mean six of or
seven of the top ten oldest players in Major League
Baseball pitchers. That includes guys like the Verlander's forty two,
Max Schurz's forty. Verlander could probably push it to forty
five in a limited role if he wanted to, but
when he signed with Detroit then he say this was
(25:09):
gonna be his last season. So other than him, I
don't see Jersey hanging around for another five years with
his milage. And I couldn't really say who's coming down
the pipe that could endure this long. But I do
know pitchers certainly don't pitch as much many innings as
they used to. So maybe not in ten years, but
we'll definitely see it again, especially with the advancements in
(25:32):
nutrition and training and technology.
Speaker 3 (25:35):
I'm gonna say foul. That is a foul ball. They're
always looking for pitching and there's not enough pitching.
Speaker 4 (25:42):
That's why Rich Hill is on a team and someone's
willing to give him a start rather than some young kid.
Speaker 3 (25:48):
And then the other part is people don't pitch as long.
Speaker 4 (25:51):
They throw as hard as they can as long as
they can, so they're not racking up the innings that
they used to. So there's a chance that a guy
can last for a long time time and play for
a lot of different teams.
Speaker 3 (26:02):
So I think it's foul.
Speaker 5 (26:03):
I think it's fouled by it.
Speaker 3 (26:05):
That is a fire.
Speaker 1 (26:08):
You look at a couple of people, because here's what
I mean by that, Jr. You might get a Max
Surzer who does retire for a year or two and
then comes back for similar to Rich here. So I
think you will get another guy that can do it.
Does you Darvish?
Speaker 3 (26:21):
Keep going?
Speaker 1 (26:21):
He's thirty, he's almost thirty nine. In about two weeks
he'll be thirty nine. Do you get a guy who
again can just hang on long enough, pop back up
for a minute. But stuff happens, especially your pictures. All
I need is do you just give me an inning?
I can see it happening.
Speaker 10 (26:36):
Yeah, you page was thirteen years between starts.
Speaker 5 (26:40):
That's crazy and that just what could have been.
Speaker 6 (26:44):
That's almost as long as Tom Brady Super Bowl drought.
Speaker 3 (26:47):
Right, I got to hear it again, or the or
the one coming up? The uh the Patrick?
Speaker 6 (26:54):
Yeah, fifteen years. Here we go, Level number two, Question
number two JR. Giant slugger Ralphael Devers will get his
first career start at first base tonight, and that's a
big deal because you'll recall the reports where the biggest
reason the Red Sox traded him in the first place
last month was because he didn't want to move the
(27:15):
first so Jr. Here's the question, foul or fair to
say that devers days as an everyday third baseman are
officially over fair?
Speaker 10 (27:26):
It's a ball, But I think in a pinch he
can always go back to third. But most would say,
then why didn't he just move right with the Red Sox?
But I say, the way people ask you to do
something has a lot to do with whether or not
you do it right. So Devils is getting older, he
hasn't dabbled a third is that's still popping. If he
(27:46):
could learn the new position, it could be the best
thing to put along his career. Sure, his pride was
hurt having to change positions, but I think he gets
paid enough to get over that. He just didn't want
to be with the Red Sox anymore. He didn't like
the city or with the organization, and he wouldn't be
the first I'm.
Speaker 4 (28:05):
Gonna say, yeah, I'm gonna say fair, it's fall. I
just think he's getting older. He wasn't a great third
basement either. Let's not make it like he was some
gold glover over there. And I do agree one thing
that the way that they handled it where they basically
just instead of telling them before they got the spring
training that Bregman's going to be the third bait, they didn't.
Speaker 1 (28:26):
They kept saying, oh, we don't know what we're doing. No,
they knew what they were doing, and they should have
just been honest with them.
Speaker 3 (28:31):
Yes, it's fair.
Speaker 1 (28:31):
Transparency is what a lot of players sometimes won. And
sometimes there are players to maybe the fans to chagrin,
or people get upset. They stand on business. You know,
this is what you told me. This is what you
promised me. And every now and again you get players
that will stand on business with that. But you mentioned
something to j R. This can your prolongest career.
Speaker 3 (28:48):
It ain't new.
Speaker 1 (28:49):
Some players switched to you know, positions all the time.
Is they age and just being it becomes more of
the focal point. Is I need that bat from you
the last you know, four or five years of your career.
So this ain't nothing new.
Speaker 6 (29:00):
Yeah, transparency is what we want for the MLB bro
books because I heard that JR. Is severely underpaid.
Speaker 5 (29:05):
There we go, all right, last last one?
Speaker 3 (29:10):
Do you hurt me?
Speaker 7 (29:11):
Are you?
Speaker 3 (29:11):
I don't know what I'm treating Jr.
Speaker 6 (29:13):
Like the Caitlin Clark of MLB bro. He said, campaign
against the rest of the league all week and now
they's come to his dors that you got problem with it?
I got a big part. We go. Last one, Actually,
funny Fowler fair Jr. Gam here with ther couple.
Speaker 3 (29:29):
Here we go.
Speaker 6 (29:30):
According to ESPN, the best player available the upcoming trade
deadline is d Backs third basement Eugenio Suarez first in
RB A RBI entering Tuesday Night second in home runs.
Only problem is, unless you're a die ar Baseball fan
or you were for MLB bro, you might not.
Speaker 3 (29:48):
Be too familiar with his work.
Speaker 5 (29:50):
Jr.
Speaker 6 (29:50):
Here's the question, fat or fair? Say that the deadline
will be a dud. If Suarez is the biggest name
that gets dealt, that is a soul ball.
Speaker 10 (30:02):
I mean, come on, Rob, every trade period can't be
the Wan Soto trade. You know they call blockbusters for
a reason. Sometimes it's a little more quiet. But if
you can get a guy with thirty six bombs eighty
six RBI through July, it doesn't matter who knows his name,
he's a huge pick up for anybody who can swing it.
Those kinds of numbers help transform lineup. So you always
(30:25):
take the risk of him not performing too as well
in another stadium or not being inncomfortable as it's been
in Arizona. But if a true contended, like I'm hearing
rumors the Yankees, Seattle Marin in Chicago Cubs, they all
have interest. If they can get them and he can
help them win a Pennant or World Series, then his
name will be known soon enough.
Speaker 3 (30:44):
I say that that is fair.
Speaker 4 (30:49):
It's a ball and only from this standpoint that trade deadline,
we've seen big time players get moved, you know what
I mean, like contracts and situations.
Speaker 3 (30:58):
CC Sabbatu's going.
Speaker 4 (30:59):
To the Hall of Fame this week this Sunday was
traded at the drade deadline right to Milwaukee.
Speaker 3 (31:04):
They made a playoff run.
Speaker 4 (31:06):
We saw when the Atlanta Braids gave up Dorile Alexander
and the Tigers and they got John Smoltz in that
trade wind up being a Hall of Famer.
Speaker 3 (31:16):
Do you know what I mean?
Speaker 4 (31:17):
Like big time players or names are moved and Suarez
people just don't know really that much about them.
Speaker 3 (31:24):
I mean, unless you really know basement.
Speaker 1 (31:25):
I'm gonna go file and I'll say that you brought
up good points with My point is, I don't think
we look at the MLB for the trade deadline like that.
What we really want is we want the Dodgers and
Yankees and Mets, these big teams to step the game up,
to start playing better so you can eventually get a rematch.
I think that's more the focal point with MLB, more
so than the trade deadline. So I don't like, I
don't think people were clamoring about it, right now and
(31:46):
talking about it. So I think it'll be fine whether
he's traded or if he's not. I think it'd be fine.
Speaker 6 (31:51):
Let's go, BRUI that's vala fan J.
Speaker 3 (31:55):
I appreciate you. Brwis winning again tonight.
Speaker 1 (31:58):
Yes, I don't know the score, but uh, Steve might know.
They had one like twelve. They've been on fire right now.
They don't give a dang who it is.
Speaker 6 (32:06):
And if you like Fowler Fair, check out the Inside
the Parker podcast.
Speaker 3 (32:10):
That's right.
Speaker 6 (32:10):
If you don't like Fowler Fair still check out the
Inside the Parker podcast.
Speaker 1 (32:13):
There you go, either way, check it out. O dang,
last call already nine on five.
Speaker 3 (32:19):
It's vacation time coming out.
Speaker 5 (32:20):
Oh real, you know what I gotta do it? Team?
You mail it in.
Speaker 3 (32:25):
I never mail it in.
Speaker 1 (32:27):
I'm not gonna. I'm gonna give you my hardest effort
all the word male. His T shirts and his pants
and his underwear that's.
Speaker 3 (32:32):
Got mailed to DC.
Speaker 1 (32:34):
You're right, FedEx just looked at you the whole time, like, sir,
do you have any more underwear to pack?
Speaker 3 (32:39):
I know this is interesting.
Speaker 1 (32:40):
Well, at least I don't leave the underwear at the
hotel under show us the video because we don't know
tell us that we got to underwear is disposed.
Speaker 6 (32:48):
Do you ever go back to the same hotels by
the way.
Speaker 3 (32:50):
From the far studios in last.
Speaker 5 (32:53):
Yeah, so like they know when you come in, like, oh,
it's this guy.
Speaker 3 (32:56):
Can't he's the clover. Hey you know what? And this
is the truth.
Speaker 1 (33:04):
Sometimes the maids in the room or the what they
call them house keep house housekeepers.
Speaker 5 (33:10):
That sounds kind of worse thought, they will.
Speaker 1 (33:11):
Take the underwear out of the garbage and put it
to the side because they think I.
Speaker 5 (33:15):
Threw all in their accident. Yeah.
Speaker 1 (33:17):
Yeah, like they'll be like he put him be thinking
he had a rough night, they put underwear and then
bruh know he shouldn't have had that extra spicy exactly,
and then they trying to help you.
Speaker 5 (33:28):
They might even was not as young as you used
to except the brown one.
Speaker 1 (33:31):
Bro. Yeah, they leave they leave that alone. Bro had
the extra spicy tonight Last Call eight seven on Box.
Can you imagine there is a show right there, the
stuff housekeeper. See my gosh, that is a Netflix show.
Underwear is in their garbage. Can why would you take
it out? Because they're just trying to do it you know,
maybe you left them there.
Speaker 6 (33:50):
Man used to throwing away their underwear every time they know,
and then a neatly folded shirt and pants set next
to it.
Speaker 5 (33:57):
His son is six four Fox Sports Radio. Gotta remember Rob.
Speaker 8 (34:03):
There's a lot of cis and you know criminal detective
shows that solve cases like that.
Speaker 3 (34:08):
That's true.
