Speaker 2 (02:14):
Show on YouTube. Sorry George.

Speaker 4 (02:17):
Okay, that's coming up and last call as well. So
we have a lot of stuff to talk about this hour.
Let's go here, Rob g. The report came out there.
I had a story that Kyle Shannan and the coach
of the San Francisco forty nine Ers, who were in
the Super Bowl a year ago, not making the playoffs

(02:38):
this year. There was a lot of stuff, a lot
of contracts before the season, holdouts, injuries.

Speaker 2 (02:45):
The quarterback.

Speaker 4 (02:48):
Rock Purty took a couple steps back this year even
without the injured players. He just hadn't didn't play as well. Yeah, fair,
I agree. Okay, Rob G what's the story.

Speaker 5 (02:57):
It's not even a story, Rob, It's a flat out
coming from owner Jed York of the San Francisco forty
nine Ers. He told a report a reporter a newspaper
in San Francisco, when asked about the futures of general
manager John Lynch and head coach Kyle Shanahan, that you
can forget the idea of us firing John Lynch. You

(03:17):
can forget the idea of us trading Kyle Shanahan. Those
dudes ain't going nowhere. They are back for next season.

Speaker 2 (03:25):
All right, that's it.

Speaker 4 (03:27):
I'm sorry, And you know this, Kerry, We've talked about
this before when you've been on I'm not a Kyle
Shanahan guy, and I get it.

Speaker 2 (03:36):
People are like, whoa you gonna go get? You know?

Speaker 4 (03:39):
I mean they got to the Super Bowl twice. He's
done this. He got the Atlanta Falcus to the Super
Bowl as the offensive coordinator. And guess what, the same
result with all three. They gave it up. They gave
it up at the end. Rob g stopped me. He's

(03:59):
giving up two ten point fourth quarter leads in the
Super Bowl.

Speaker 2 (04:03):
No other coach has done that. Ten point leads. Yeah,
that's two scores.

Speaker 4 (04:09):
Yeah, and we already know to collapse with the Falcons,
and he gets credit for it. I don't care what
anybody says, Oh well, he wasn't a head coach. Get dude,
he's calling the offensive plays. You're up twenty eight to
three against the Patriots. You run the ball four times
in the second carry? You know football? You run the

(04:31):
ball four times in the second half with a big lead.
Don't you supposed to run the ball?

Speaker 2 (04:35):
Eat the clock?

Speaker 4 (04:36):
Number two, Julio Jones makes one of the great catches
third and whatever it was set up a first intendant
to twenty two carry. I'm not a football coach. I'm
not even gonna sit here and tell you I know.

Speaker 2 (04:51):
Football like you do first intended to twenty two.

Speaker 4 (04:57):
I know I'm gonna run the ball three straight times,
use the play clock all the way down until I
snap it, and then kick a field goal. They were
up by eight. If you kick a field goal, you're
up by eleven. First and tended the twenty two.

Speaker 2 (05:14):
How much time was left and it was less than
like two minutes?

Speaker 4 (05:17):
Okay, okay, yeah, for whatever reason, they don't do that.
This is Kyle Shanahan. Why don't you pass in that situation?
First of all, a holding get push you back, a
sack push you back out of field goal rang. So

(05:41):
now you don't get the field goal. Yes, the Patriots
stop you. They get the ball back. Down by eight,
Brady drives the field touchdown, two point conversion, tie, and
you're losing overtime.

Speaker 2 (05:52):
That's crazy. Cannot happen, am I right? Like that's bad coaching.

Speaker 4 (05:56):
I don't care. There's winning time. I don't care about
what your style was or what you did. Oh, we're
playing our game. We do the ball all year. No,
not at the end of the game, and that you
gotta do the numbers and say he and if you
go back. I dare anybody to go watch the end
of that game, they're snapping the ball with Tom left

(06:19):
on the play clock. You get those are seconds that
add up with those three downs that Brady gets to
use at the end. Yes, okay, Like, okay, So when
I look at Kyle Shanahan and we're gonna grade him
on the three g's great, good or garbage, I'm gonna

(06:43):
go first and them I'll let you go because I've
already made my case and it would be silly for
me to say you great, right, I'm going hot garbage.

Speaker 2 (06:51):
You're going hot garbage, hot guard, regular gard. And it's August,
it's New Orleans. Okay, you already know the bull.

Speaker 4 (07:00):
This stench like it's hot, sticky and gookie. Okay, And
people said, well, he got you there. Some guys can't
actually deliver all the goods. And that's what I feel
like at some point. And you gotta be careful because
sometimes you don't get you don't get there. And I'm

(07:21):
gonna give you one example and the I'm gonna let
you go. I remember when the Pistons had Rick Carlisle,
like two thousand and three, they went to the playoffs,
went to the second round. They beat Tracy McGrady in
the Magic Wow, great job, young promising coach. You got
your own guy. Okay, wait a minute, Larry Brown's available.

Speaker 2 (07:45):
Now.

Speaker 4 (07:45):
At that point, Larry Brown had not won a championship
in the NBA, but he won in college. Pistons. Go
get Larry Brown, make a change. That coach won the championship.
The next year, went back to the finals, the fought,
and the next year after that. My only point is
some guys might not be able to actually get you

(08:05):
over the hump, and sometimes you have to identify that
and recognize you might blow this window of opportunity. With
the forty nine ers, people are getting paid all of
a sudden. Now you're losing people, you know what I mean.
The team that you had when you went to those
two Super Bowls is not going to be the same
next year. And if you have to pay brock Perty,

(08:26):
you're gonna lose even more people.

Speaker 6 (08:27):
All right, So this this would be my priss back
with you on this on this one.

Speaker 2 (08:31):
Rob.

Speaker 6 (08:33):
First of all, I'm gonna say, out of the three g's,
he's done a good job. Okay, all right, So I
wouldn't say because when you win, right, I wouldn't say
great but good. And I'm gonna tell you why the
reason you just laid out with the Rick Carlisle thing, right, perfect,
I understand that perfectly fine, because I saw that, I
lived that. I know what that feels like. I've seen it.

Speaker 2 (08:54):
Right.

Speaker 6 (08:55):
They got rid of him, They brought in the guy
they do win their championship in Detroit, But that coach
they got rid of, Rick Carlisle went on and won
the championship somewhere else in Dallas, right, yep, he did.

Speaker 2 (09:07):
So you get rid of the guy.

Speaker 6 (09:09):
He's younger, he's somebody that's going to be around a
lot longer than Larry Brown. And you get rid of him,
you kick him out the door to another team, and
the other team benefits by winning the championship.

Speaker 2 (09:18):
With him there.

Speaker 6 (09:19):
That's fair, right, Okay, So that's what I would say
with Kyle Sheenonhan, Right, what other head coach are you
going to bring in that's you know, more qualified, has
the pedigree and has shown the propensity to succeed with
that organization.

Speaker 2 (09:36):
Okay, here you go go ahead.

Speaker 4 (09:38):
I'm not afraid of the unknown, yeah, yeah, okay, yeah,
I'm afraid of the known. Yeah and then yeah, okay,
the known is that we haven't been able to win
with him for sure. Okay, if you were to go
back and ask Ralph Wilson, who was the owner of
the Buffalo billis Marvel.

Speaker 2 (09:59):
I have made it?

Speaker 4 (10:00):
Should I made a change? I went to Super Bowl
four years in a row.

Speaker 2 (10:07):
We didn't win. Okay, okay, And that's the argument.

Speaker 4 (10:12):
About, Wow, who are you gonna go get Marve lieve
he's getting you to the super Bowl. Well, actually, after
the second one you might have said, maybe he can't
do it. The best example was Tony Dungee's Tampa Bay Bucks.

Speaker 2 (10:26):
He couldn't win.

Speaker 4 (10:28):
He couldn't win, you can we When they let him go,
it was hard to be mad at the ownership at
Tampa Bay. They had an unbelievable defense Tony Dungeon. Ever,
they couldn't score. You remember Sean King was their quarterback.
I remember they couldn't score. They lost like the NFC
Championship game eight to six or something like you know

(10:49):
what I mean, like like they couldn't score.

Speaker 2 (10:51):
I agree, Rob But and then what happened? They bringing
John Goo. Guess what?

Speaker 6 (10:55):
They win it that next year? And then Tony Tony
Dungee leaves and wins with the Colts something. It's like
I hear it that that's all fine and dandy. I
understand the rhetoric for sure, but and it's not to
say that it's right or wrong.

Speaker 2 (11:10):
Like I think the Tony Dungee thing was right. It
was the right move.

Speaker 4 (11:13):
It was you know what I mean, Like like you say,
how could you fire Tony Dungey At that point, it
was like, we're not gonna win, Like he's had these
two or three chances. Man, we got a team that's loaded.
Maybe can't get us over the hump, right. And that's
why I always bring up the Marvel Levy. I mean, like,
that's dubious to lose four super Bow so for in
a row. Come on, you know how hard is to

(11:35):
get to super Bowl for in a row. And it's
dubious on Kyle Shanahan. He had a chance to win
three super Bowl three.

Speaker 3 (11:46):
And not.

Speaker 4 (11:46):
It's different if you get to the super Bowl and
they blow you out and you didn't, you know, you're
not good enough. I could accept that, but you got
ten point leads both times and you change up with
what you should. You know, you throw the ball instead
of running it right.

Speaker 6 (12:06):
And it comes back to what I what I was
talking about in the last hour, right, Like a lot
of these head coaches don't have game feel, so exactly
what you're saying about situational football, right, they're up eight
two minutes left, run the ball, right.

Speaker 2 (12:23):
Like, how do you not know that? Carry? Come about?
Man in game?

Speaker 7 (12:27):
Right?

Speaker 4 (12:27):
You know what it is though, it's the ego. It's
like it's like, I'm gonna do it my way. This
is what we've done all year. But there's a there's
a formula to win, which is about eating up clock.

Speaker 2 (12:39):
The more we eat up.

Speaker 4 (12:40):
Clock running the football, we don't even have to go anywhere.
If we're at the twenty two and just don't lose
any yard age, you move forward, and now we're three
plays forty five seconds right, the forty second plot?

Speaker 2 (12:53):
What is it? Forty forty second clock?

Speaker 8 (12:55):
Right?

Speaker 4 (12:56):
Yeah, forty seconds each play, and we move it up
three yards yard on each play. Now we're at the
U nineteen or whatever, and we kick a field goal,
you're up on eleven.

Speaker 2 (13:07):
You win the Super Bowl, Like I don't.

Speaker 4 (13:09):
I don't know how that happens where you don't get
a kick when you're at the twenty two.

Speaker 2 (13:15):
Yeah, that's that's it's terrible.

Speaker 6 (13:17):
And what you just said about it being the ego
or trying to make your name, he was right.

Speaker 2 (13:21):
He was off in the coordinat He wasn't the head
coach yet, no, and.

Speaker 4 (13:23):
He had already had the job in his back pocket
to go to San Francisco. Remember, So I'm gonna show you. Yes,
I remember. And Bill Parcells was one of the best
coaches I ever saw. Okay, I saw him do the
same exact thing with the Jets. He had a chance
to make the playoffs. You might remember this. This is

(13:45):
when Barry Sanders was playing and he went for two
thousand yards in the last game of the year against
the Jets. So I covered that game and was at
the Pontiac Silver do and that's how long silver and
Bill Parcells and score a touchdown there at the one
yard line. One yard line, first play, he has a

(14:09):
halfback option with a rookie half back. You know how
small it is in the end zone when you're at
the one, right, there's no room. Right, What does a
rookie do on that play? First down, first and goal
at the one? There's a pick in the end zone.

Speaker 2 (14:28):
They lose. They don't make the play.

Speaker 3 (14:30):
Now.

Speaker 4 (14:30):
That to me was I'm gonna show you how I'm
the smartest guy in the room. Okay, because run the
ball in you have to. You got three chances, even
four if you have to write, you have four to
get one yard number two to put it in the
hands of a rookie who's trying to make a play
where maybe a veteran throws it out of bound. Don't

(14:51):
force it, right, You got to know that, don't You
don't have to. If it's not there, don't force it.
Throw it out of bout right at the one.

Speaker 2 (15:03):
Yeah, that's all right. I want to hear it from you, guys.

Speaker 4 (15:07):

to know has the Kyle Shanahan era in San Francisco

Speaker 4 (16:32):
And eight seven seven ninety nine on Fox talking about
Kyle Shanahan. He's coming back, that's the story. Don't think
he's going anywhere because they didn't make the playoffs and
things haven't gone well he seems so we're asking you
in the Kyle Shanahan San Francisco era, has he been great?

Speaker 2 (16:53):
Good?

Speaker 4 (16:54):
Or garbage drew in New Jersey? Your first up. You're
on the Odd Couple of Fox. It's Radio Happy New Year, Drew.
What's up?

Speaker 8 (17:02):
Happy New Year?

Speaker 7 (17:03):
Everybody.

Speaker 8 (17:05):
I want to just say I think that he has
been great. I don't think by not winning a super
Bowl doesn't mean you're not great. I think he's had
so many highs in the playoffs to say that he's
not successful as an understatement great.

Speaker 2 (17:21):
Drew, let me say this. Let me say this to you.

Speaker 4 (17:25):
Everybody's not great and if winning isn't involved, how can
you be great?

Speaker 2 (17:29):
What do you call the people?

Speaker 8 (17:31):
No?

Speaker 4 (17:31):
Hold on? What do you call the people who win?
If he's great and he didn't win, if Marv Levy?

Speaker 7 (17:38):
Hold on?

Speaker 4 (17:38):
Hold on, Drew, Mark Lamar's career is not over. Okay,
So this is my hold on, hold on the difference
is Lamar didn't choke down three big time losses to
be in that situation.

Speaker 2 (17:54):
Now here's my thing.

Speaker 4 (17:56):
Nobody, nobody looks at the Buffalo Bills and Marv Levy
when they talk about the all time greatest coaches. He's
never in that conversation.

Speaker 2 (18:08):
Why not? Why not? Drew?

Speaker 4 (18:11):
Why isn't he in that conversation? He took a team
to four straight Super Bowls? Why don't you put him
in that conversation?

Speaker 7 (18:18):
Tell me because it's a different error.

Speaker 2 (18:21):
No, because he didn't win.

Speaker 8 (18:23):
Winning matters quarterback go ahead, it's a quarterback. Let the
quarterback wins the game for you. You constantly say you
don't win until you win. So the same thing should
applied for Kyle shen and he's probably if you look,
name another.

Speaker 4 (18:37):
Coach who's choked down ten ten point leads in the
Super Bowl never happened.

Speaker 8 (18:43):
I think that he never out of San Francisco. I
think he should went out of San Francisco. I think
he should get himself a quarterback like Caleb Williams, because
I don't think you're gonna win. I think you're constantly
gonna be in the playoffs. Well, you will never have
a top ten So I think I think he should
win out in my opinion.

Speaker 4 (19:01):
Okay, all right, Drew, appreciate it, Thank you, my man.
Thanks for calling. Happy New Year, Chris in Syracuse. You're
on the odd couple of Fox Sports, Rady, what's.

Speaker 2 (19:10):
Up, chrisy?

Speaker 9 (19:11):
Happy New Year, guys, Happy.

Speaker 4 (19:12):
New Year, Thank you. Appreciate you. What chiming in on
New Year's Day?

Speaker 7 (19:16):
Thank you.

Speaker 9 (19:17):
I love listening to you guys. You're the one show
I listened to it at night.

Speaker 2 (19:20):
It's great show man. Thank you means a lot of the.

Speaker 9 (19:22):
Things I want to say. First of all, the Atlanta
super Bowl was one of those moment you went, oh
my god, I'm unbelievable.

Speaker 2 (19:31):
Am I right? Chris?

Speaker 7 (19:31):
Come on man totally.

Speaker 9 (19:34):
I said, whoever was calling those plays, if you're rooting
for the Patriots, you were saying, hell lujah. If you're
rooting for Atlanta, you had to.

Speaker 7 (19:42):
Go, oh my god.

Speaker 2 (19:43):
Right, that was couch Sahan.

Speaker 4 (19:45):
That was That was a watched super Bowl win that
they had.

Speaker 9 (19:50):
But you know what I remember more than anything, the
poor owner with the umbrella with his wife on the
sidelighter down there already the win aught.

Speaker 2 (19:59):
The black showed up down there, right, Oh.

Speaker 9 (20:01):
My god, they're already to win. And then he's looking
around going oh my god. But the other thing I
want to say about Buffalo, Yeah, the other thing I
want to say about Buffalo is one of the things
I remember the players saying is they said, every time
we went to the Super Bowl, alls we did is
party our brains out. And I said, oh my, that

(20:24):
was a terrible thing. And that's what they said. You know,
I always remember Thomas coming running down running down the
first quarter and then coming out of the game when
they got down to the twenty yard line. I always
said to myself, I wonder what that was all about.
But I always remember the Bills players saying after when
they went force was as we did. Is part of
our brains out when we went down to the Super Bowl.

(20:46):
So I have to blame some of that blame on
the players. To listen to you, guys, I really like
you guys, have a going.

Speaker 2 (20:52):
All rank you appreciate it all right.

Speaker 4 (20:55):
George Reister is coming up, okay, like that former NFL
tight end host Hoist, host of the Unafraid Show on
uh YouTube, and we'll talk about his Oregon Ducks.

Speaker 2 (21:07):
I know he's not gonna be happy.

Speaker 4 (21:08):
He's gonna be so George, we'll do that, but first
let's get you caught up.

Speaker 3 (21:12):

Speaker 4 (21:25):
Thank you so much, Chris, appreciate it coming to you
live from the tire rack dot Com Studios. George Reister,
that's right, the former NFL tight end, host of The
Unafraid Show on YouTube and a sad sack member.

Speaker 2 (21:40):
Of the Oregon Ducks. Now I'm just playing George, Happy
New Year? What's going on? Say hello to Kerry Rhoades.

Speaker 3 (21:46):
What's up?

Speaker 2 (21:46):
What's up? Man?

Speaker 7 (21:47):
What up? What up? Man? Hey Rob Rod, I can
count on you to kick to a kick a man?

Speaker 10 (21:56):
Oh me, Hey, Rob Rob, I got I got a
text from my old producer and said, it's quieter than
a ret urinating in here.

Speaker 4 (22:07):
There you go. I know my saying there's no doubt
about a man. Well, I mean I was told by
people Oregon by twenty in this game against Ohio State,
I know Ohio was high. State was two and a
half point favorites going in. What wall Hop and Lucy?

Speaker 7 (22:25):
All right, So I make no excuses because Ohio State
they won this game fair and squared. There's no cheating,
there's no rest, there's no like, there's nobody to play.
I do think that a few things that we are
going to have to examine, especially after that Notre Dame
in Georgia Georgia game, because these these are teams that

(22:48):
had the buys. They've been off for twenty five days.
They've not played a football game in twenty five days.
So I do think that the and all three of
the teams, even though Boise and Arizona State were bigger
under underdogs, that they started out very very slowly too
compared to the teams that played the previous week. And
if the same thing happens to Georgia as well, I

(23:11):
think that there's that that that could be a trend,
that it's something similar to what we're seeing in baseball,
where where the teams that have the buys in in
the first round we sell that.

Speaker 4 (23:22):
The first year this past year because because the Yankees
and Dodgers made it all the way through the first year,
you're right, all the good teams got knocked out.

Speaker 7 (23:32):
Uh So I do think that there could be an
adjustment period in terms of the coaches, right that they
may have to handle their their team differently because I
don't know if Dave Roberts and you know, and if
he did something different with the with the Dodgers this
year compared to the previous year where but but I

(23:54):
do think that that's something to take note of. And
and you know, so Oregon started out flat and Ohio
State just jumped on them. And once you're down third
thirty four to nothing in the first half, I mean,
it was unbelievable. Then Oregon scores at the end of
the half, okay, eight thirty four eight, they come back

(24:17):
out score again. Now now it's fifteen to thirty four,
and then they and then they got to stop. But
at that point in time, you know, if you get
if you do anything except go touchdown, touchdown touchdowns.

Speaker 4 (24:29):
Right, it was still down three scores even with that score, right,
it was thirty four to fifteen.

Speaker 7 (24:35):
Yeah, yeah, exactly exactly. So it's tough sledding, and kudos
to Ohio State. But I do think it's funny how
these narratives run. Is that up until today it was
Dan Lanny He's figured out how to win the big
one and blah blah blah after beating Ohio State and

(24:56):
then Fenn State in the Big Ten championship, and now
it's all man, he'll know ever win the big win.
And then we've seen how much the narrative flip flops
on Ryan Days, the Ohio State head coach.

Speaker 4 (25:07):
As well.

Speaker 2 (25:07):
Well, it's funny.

Speaker 6 (25:08):
You said something about Dan Lennon and his propensity to
I guess not win the big game, or win the
big game, whatever.

Speaker 2 (25:14):
Side you sit on.

Speaker 6 (25:15):
But we had a discussion before you came on about
Kyle Shanahan, right, Cayle, Oh my god, Kyle Shanahan with
San Francisco. Right, So we said it has his era
been great? Good or garbage and hot garbage? Rob said
hot garbage? I said good. But where would you rank that?
What would you rank Kyle Shanahan's tenure right here?

Speaker 7 (25:36):
I would say really good. First of all, you go
and Rob, Rob has lost his ever loved because the
first thing is it is unfortunate that the that the
man has lost the Super Bowl twice, right, I.

Speaker 2 (25:51):
Say three times because I count Georgia.

Speaker 7 (25:55):
Yeah, but he was an offensive coorter.

Speaker 2 (25:57):
George at the end of that game. Come on, hold on, hold.

Speaker 7 (26:00):
On, hold on, no, no, no, no, no, I'm not I'm
not excusing any anything. I do think that in the
first Super Bowl, if Jimmy Garoppolo can actually complete a
pass to a wide open guy and then then then
he wins the game. But but first of all, do
you know how hard it is to find coaches to
lose in the Super Bowl. That's the first thing I

(26:25):
got I got two of them that lost four super Bowls.

Speaker 4 (26:27):
His name is Bud Grant and Marvel both lost for
Super Bowls?

Speaker 2 (26:31):
How's that?

Speaker 7 (26:32):
And and do you know what? Uh, the the alternative is,
do you know how hard it is to replace a
coach that is that good? First of all? And the
second thing, Okay.

Speaker 4 (26:43):
Your history in football is very vague because yesterday, George
hold on, because because because I saw it happen. Don't
you remember Tony Dungee was the all world coach in
Tampa Bay and they fired him and guess what happened?
They want to super Bowl? Then very next year it happens.

Speaker 7 (27:04):
It does happen. It is those are outlier results happen,
and and the and the second thing is this is
that San Francisco season this year was actually doomed prior
prior to the seasons even starting if you pay attention
this year and pre previous years pretty much all the time,

(27:26):
when when teams have contract issues with some of their
best players, it's a disaster. And San Francisco had an
issue with Brandon and I you that drug on way
too long, and the and the left tackle, the Cincinnati
Bengals issues with T Higgins and with Jamar Chase all
off season over a contracts and it infects the team

(27:49):
and it bothers the chemistry of the team and all
of the teams that well, not not all of them,
but the vast majority of times when you have multiple
contract issue who's on a team, it breeds some resentment
with the players and the organization. So I would judge

(28:09):
Kyle shanahans ten here as a great success of it,
because you've been to the super Bowl twice, and I
would rather a guy figure out how to make one, two,
three calls better in a super Bowl than then to
try to then try to replace him because of Jim
Jim Harbaugh not walking through that door. He's already in

(28:29):
LA right now.

Speaker 4 (28:30):
How about this last thing. Lamar Jackson, YEP, I think
he's the MVP. I expect him to play well and
beat the Browns win the division the team started owing
to He has the third best quarterback waiting for a
single season. Aaron Rodgers as the first two, Lamar would
be third, and Peyton Manning would be fourth. Of all

(28:53):
the quarterbacks who got thirty five or more touchdowns and
less than six interceptions, there have been seven in NFL history.

Speaker 2 (29:01):
Six of them all won the MVP.

Speaker 4 (29:04):
The one guy didn't win was Patrick Mahomes because Aaron
Rodgers beat him out in that very same season for
the MVP.

Speaker 2 (29:11):
Who is your MVP and.

Speaker 7 (29:12):
Why it is Lamar Jackson. These stats are unbelievable and
his team is winning if they if they win the division,
he should absolutely be the MVP. The here's the issue
that Lamar is up against. It is like when NBA
voters NFL voters, they just want a new face. They

(29:35):
want Josh Allen to be the MVP so bad.

Speaker 2 (29:38):
Oh, they But that's ridiculous.

Speaker 7 (29:40):
I just saw the rob The NFL put out a
tweet two day, Oh, here are the most touchdown passes
in all of twenty twenty four. So they were counting
the playoffs from last year as well?

Speaker 2 (29:56):
Yes they did.

Speaker 7 (29:56):
Yeah, yes, they put out they want Josh Allen to
be the MVT so bad. That's that's the issue, and
that's what Lamar Jackson is up up against.

Speaker 4 (30:08):
But it shouldn't happen because they gave Brett Fall three
straight MVPs.

Speaker 7 (30:13):
And and do you know what else they're going to say.
They are going to say, well, it's because I mean
Dereck Henry. He's got Derek Henbry, Peyton.

Speaker 2 (30:21):
Manning one in the Q with James Yes.

Speaker 7 (30:26):
At running back. And I believe that he was an
All Pro that year two George, outside of the narrative, man, yeah, yeah, yeah.

Speaker 2 (30:34):
That was Harrison too. That's a joke when.

Speaker 4 (30:38):
I hear that that he had audience, he has weapons.

Speaker 7 (30:41):
What and nobody would trade there? There is none of
the well and first of all, if and I must
be honest, if Joe Burrow were on a you know,
a nine and seventeen team or a ten win team,
he should be the MVP probably. I mean he is
playing playing inane.

Speaker 4 (31:03):
Hey, for the first time, George was on the show,
and George Reister is the correct name, not George wrongstar.

Speaker 2 (31:12):
So you were you were absolutely right with Lamar. George.
Did you put up with this? George?

Speaker 7 (31:16):
I'm man, Hey, we got robbed us some day drinking sometimes.

Speaker 2 (31:27):
Called I see the half, I see half lemonade.

Speaker 4 (31:30):
Yeah, okay, there you go, Hey, George, thank you, my man, George,
Happy New Year to you and your family.

Speaker 2 (31:36):

Speaker 2 (33:27):
You for real. Absolutely I agree. Yeah, it's a big deal,
no doubt. Rob Ge.

Speaker 4 (33:31):
This last story with the Jets, can you explain what's
happened with the Jets? What you your former team like?
It's just first of all, Rex Ryan, can you not
interview him for coaching again?

Speaker 2 (33:42):
Coached? Don't talk about that with me?

Speaker 7 (33:43):
Right?

Speaker 2 (33:46):
You know what I'm saying, crazy right?

Speaker 5 (33:48):
So very quickly carries New York Jets even though this
man denies it, reports out.

Speaker 4 (33:53):
Of it, but then what good when he played though
the jetspolitans.

Speaker 5 (33:56):
The reports out of one Jets drive is that Garret
Wilson and Aaron Rodgers have not been seeing eye to
eye basically for weeks now, and according to the NFL Network,
Garret Wilson is prepared to demand a trade if Aaron
Rodgers is back under center for the twenty twenty five season.

Speaker 7 (34:13):
Now.

Speaker 5 (34:14):
Garret Wilson was asked about it today, he said, I'm
not gonna address that it's not true with social media whatever,
but the guys who reported it are two very reputable
and I found there were reporters.

Speaker 4 (34:23):
Well, the only reason I'm gonna say this to you, Karen,
you can't get caught up in that as a player.
Who's gonna be like, like you gotta because we saw that.
I bet you asked Devanta Adams, could he change what
happened in Vegas? When you're trying to go play with
people or try to dictate.

Speaker 2 (34:40):
Who you just can't do that.

Speaker 4 (34:42):
Yeah, same thing with like like if that's true, Garret Wilson,
you don't know who's coming in, like you know what
I mean, Like you are, Yeah, we don't want Aaron
Rodgers back, and you got who next year? Like you
don't really know And I'm not saying you got to.
You gotta have trust that the team is going to
make the right decision right ultimately, and you can't be
worried about personnel. It's just like it would be worried

(35:06):
about you, worried about a coach, Like, what can you
do your player?

Speaker 2 (35:09):
Exactly?

Speaker 6 (35:10):
No, Yeah, you gotta you gotta make do with what
you have. Gary Wilson is a really good player. We
don't know how good he is yet. We haven't had
a chance or an opportunity to see what he can
do in meaningful games.

Speaker 2 (35:22):
We don't even know.

Speaker 6 (35:23):
So the cachet that he thinks he has as a
player is not there yet, right, That's what I'm saying, football,
and do your job, do.

Speaker 2 (35:30):
Your job and worry about other people. And he's a
good kid. So I don't know this what this story.

Speaker 4 (35:36):
So maybe if it's true and it's saying that it's not,
I just I just think it's a waste to do
your job.

Speaker 2 (35:42):
Do you do your yob, Just do your job, man, hein' Carrie,
thank you my way.

Speaker 4 (35:49):
You know that your pleasure, you know, and uh, Jason
Smith and Mike Harmon artin next.

Speaker 2 (35:54):
