option for next season. Whether or not he decides to

pick it up, we don't know yet. But according to
ESPN NBA inside of Seam Sharanya, the expectation around the NBA,
around the Lakers, around Clutch sports, because you know he's
tight with those guys. Is that Lebron will pick up
his option for next season.

Where else is he gonna go?

Well, here's what makes it interesting. The last time Lebron
had a situation like this, the question was not whether
or not he's gonna pick up the option. The question
is is he going to opt out and then add
a new contract because those players don't like playing on
expiring contracts. In this case, if Lebron only picks up

the one year, that sets the table for either number
one this being his last season and he retires in
twenty twenty six, or an unlikely scenario, he plays one
more year with the Lakers and then he dips out
and tries to win a ring elsewhere.

They're family five or six years with Kobe. But that's

franchise franchise who operates as a family popes or is
it an NBA for they're the mom and pop shop

And it's the truth. And when you're locked in with
them and they have a relationship and they ride or
die with you, that's just how they do things. And
they and I was screaming the same thing at another
radio station about you know, all right, code this Kobe thing,
you don't have to do it. You don't have to resign,
you don't have to give them all the money. They're like, no,
we have to loyal to him. This is what he deserves.
And that's just the way they operate. So to me,

I actually believe it or not get what you're saying,

genuinely believe this that he wont and whether it's a
Laker or now he can go be a Charlotte Hornet.

not saying this's it'll be a Laker, but Bryce will

go to college. He's the Arizona He'll play there for

then he'll he'll go in the NBA. Lebron will play
with both sons and then he'll walk away. You heard

You don't owe him what he did for Kobe or

be loyal to him? If this is it? Let him go.

part of it. Like the Lakers like relevancy, they like
being on top, they like being in the you know,
topic of conversations. And that's more so not necessarily the

in terms of the Kobe Bryant situation, you know, he
did play play out the string, which I think the
Laker's gonna do with Lebron, But Jerry bust he knew
what time it was, you know, he went over to
Kobe's house for the Super Bowl and he did things
to bring Kobe back into the fold, and that's why
they were able to stay with Kobe and win those
next two championships. So it goes both ways with the

organization in this situation, the Lakers have all the leverage.
They have the upper hand based on the fact Lebron
wants to be in LA because of the Hollywood market
and because of his greater aspirations in terms of being
a mogul and all the things that he wants to
do around media. So at the end of the day,
he's got to kick up dust. He's going to do
a whole because he wants to control the narrative, you know,
and increase his Q ratings. Very ajoit at that. So

I might say I might go, but the Lakers know
Geni Busck knows he wants La more than LA wants him.
So what I think you happen is they play out
the stream with Lebron, you know, all the second but
it's Luca's team is the bottom line, okay, And they
build around Luca and Lebron can stay around as long
as he wants to play with his sons. You know,
that's the kind of you know, a life goal that
he wants to do.

Lebron's gonna do it. That's why I think they can keep.

I don't think he wants to leave. I think he
wants to stay there, maybe go back to Cleveland for

and because of his greater aspirations in terms of being

a whole because he wants to control the narrative, you know,
and increase his Q ratings. Very ajoit at that. So

So what I think you happen is they play out

this building, y'all know exactly what my mama's cookies are
and what they taste like. In fact, not just them,
all the baked goods that she's made. You're telling me
that you've had better, cause I know anytime I bring
him in, everybody everybody goes, oh my god, I see

is missed a like healthy and even He's like, I
gotta have some Kelvin. You even made you made a

Every time for the last year or so she comes

All right, listen, I hate to do this because you
know how I feel about mama sweek in the cookies.
But mama Sweek of cookies 't my wife's cookies. And
I'm actually talking about the cookies too, Okay, they're talking
about the actual ones that are going in the oven,
all right. They are the ones that we always wait
every Christmas weekend. I gotta bring y'all something. We get
the whole ten full of them. She makes them all
the time. As matter of fact, my kids gained eleven

pounds because of them. The delicious baby. I'm coming home.
And a matter of fact, I want some cookies and
cookies too, if you know what I'm saying. With that
being said, Mama Swee could go ahead and give me
some cookies. I really wouldn't mind some of.

Those guys, did you just reference something else while you
were referencing cookies?
Speaker 1 (29:36):
No, say the cookies. She uses flour, brown sugar. Yeah
it's good. Okay, put them in the oven. Three fifty
put them in the oven.

Also, I would like to jump on the train and
say this, Patrick, you're a new bee here compared to
myself almost at the tenure, and my mom has been
making cookies every December for everybody here on a couple wins,
easy choice.
