Speaker 4 (01:49):
Yes, Patty Speaks is his Twitter Patty Speaks. I thought
it was Patty's cheeks for a minute, but it's Patty Speaks.
Speaker 6 (01:56):
Did you hear Patrick laugh? Did you hear him all
the way down the hall? Did you hear that through
the double doors soundproof? That was him right there laughing too.
Yeah that was Patrick. But yeah, he's gonna be on
the hot seat. He's one of our what.
Speaker 2 (02:09):
We called he's two nice.
Speaker 7 (02:11):
I can't cook him like Patrick. What sports Radio Radio's
golden retriever?
Speaker 8 (02:16):
Is that?
Speaker 2 (02:16):
What he is? Everybody loves him. Somebody comes in the door,
he comes to greet you. He's the best. Patrick. I'm
gona feel bad, Grilla like we do. That's all right.
Speaker 1 (02:24):
I smacked people up. I'm when it comes to the
hot seat, when I came in.
Speaker 4 (02:28):
I poured a little barbecue sauce on his back, and
I wanted to tender.
Speaker 1 (02:33):
A little Wait, this sounds crazy. You dinna hear the
alex Man. You've given him at least four drops today.
I'm trying to get you six years would you leave it?
Speaker 2 (02:44):
And did you leave him there? And say, hey Patrick, NBC?
You see them all wrong?
Speaker 9 (02:51):
Oh boy, I'm actively told Pat like, don't encourage him?
Speaker 2 (02:55):
What what? What wrong? Why are you mad? Why are
you mad?
Speaker 4 (02:59):
Because me and Patrick have a thing. Okay, we have
a thing. It's the NBC thing. And when I see
him and leave every night and he's here, I always
say NBC U later, Patrick.
Speaker 1 (03:11):
I am team rob g in that I do need
him to like have a moment where he's just not
into it. You know people who you wonder if they
ever and not had a bad like Patrick has never
had a bad day.
Speaker 4 (03:21):
No, no, no, he's not that kind of guy. And
then me and Mary Mack we have our own thing.
Everyone knows it's whimby, So we have that. You do
have that, Okay, I'm just a people perch. I connect
with people. Everyone knows it's whim boy.
Speaker 1 (03:41):
That that that's the greatest hits right there. It is
for you, all right? I should have invited you to
the Kindred g Can you set up set the.
Speaker 2 (03:51):
Table on this. I'll take a unsweet nice t double lemon.
Why can I Mexican? Do you serve me my drink?
Speaker 10 (03:59):
Sir?
Speaker 2 (04:00):
I would say that what does Mexican have to do
with being away?
Speaker 5 (04:02):
Now?
Speaker 2 (04:03):
I gotta be a bus boy. I gotta set the
table for it. Or if you're cutting the lawn, that
would be.
Speaker 1 (04:10):
You ain't making it six years, making it six hit
the dumb button.
Speaker 9 (04:14):
You don't want to hit them at any event. Yes,
we were talking about it. This news came down yesterday.
We were gonna do it, but we had so much
uh to say about Tyrese Halliburton and and and damp
Man that we didn't have times we say for today.
Lebron James, of course is Lebron James has a player
option for next season. Whether or not he decides to
(04:35):
pick it up, we don't know yet. But according to
ESPN NBA inside of Seam Sharanya, the expectation around the NBA,
around the Lakers, around Clutch sports, because you know he's
tight with those guys. Is that Lebron will pick up
his option for next season.
Speaker 2 (04:53):
Where else is he gonna go?
Speaker 9 (04:54):
Well, here's what makes it interesting. The last time Lebron
had a situation like this, the question was not whether
or not he's gonna pick up the option. The question
is is he going to opt out and then add
a new contract because those players don't like playing on
expiring contracts. In this case, if Lebron only picks up
(05:16):
the one year, that sets the table for either number
one this being his last season and he retires in
twenty twenty six, or an unlikely scenario, he plays one
more year with the Lakers and then he dips out
and tries to win a ring elsewhere.
Speaker 2 (05:33):
I got the simple solution.
Speaker 4 (05:35):
Okay, the Lakers shouldn't offer anything more till Lebron beyond
this year.
Speaker 2 (05:42):
This is it. This is it?
Speaker 4 (05:45):
Thank you, Kenny Loggin. No, I'm serious, like, this is it.
Give him one more shot, Luca, the whole year in shape, Luca.
Maybe you know I saw him, you know, walking around
now he's like, looks way better than he did. But
we'll wait to see when the season starts, and the
full blown summer, the full blown.
Speaker 2 (06:06):
Fat shaming Luca me Rob, but a fat shame knows
no ending.
Speaker 4 (06:10):
I'm not fat shaming him. I'm just telling you he
didn't look like he looks now. Would you agree with that? No,
he looked he was blown it before. I wonder if
that was Ai, because how that man look.
Speaker 1 (06:20):
If you can lose all that without working out for
a season, how did you lose all that in a month?
Speaker 4 (06:25):
Right, It's amazing because he did look way better than
he had then. But I just can't see Lebron passed
this year. I think anything more than that is ridiculous.
I'm not waiting for Bryce. I'm not doing anything else
about to please and and that's it. And I be
serious and say, Lebron, you can stick around one more year.
(06:47):
Your son's gotta go. We got the photo op, We're done.
We need the roster spot. You know, let's stop playing games.
What are we doing here? Are you seriously trying to win?
You want to win one more before you bow out?
Or do you want to do what just happened in
the first round?
Speaker 2 (07:01):
You know what I mean?
Speaker 4 (07:02):
Like, seriously, you got to be serious about it if
you're if you're the Lakers and stop playing. Well, we
know the Lakers. They do play.
Speaker 1 (07:10):
And what I mean by that is if you are
in good service with them, they have a relationship with you,
you're you're tapped in. Then you're locked in with them.
They're family five or six years with Kobe. But that's
what I mean. They do that. They're a family ran
franchise franchise who operates as a family popes or is
it an NBA for they're the mom and pop shop
(07:31):
And it's the truth. And when you're locked in with
them and they have a relationship and they ride or
die with you, that's just how they do things. And
they and I was screaming the same thing at another
radio station about you know, all right, code this Kobe thing,
you don't have to do it. You don't have to resign,
you don't have to give them all the money. They're like, no,
we have to loyal to him. This is what he deserves.
And that's just the way they operate. So to me,
(07:51):
I actually believe it or not get what you're saying,
Hey man, one more go at it.
Speaker 2 (07:56):
We'll give it a shot.
Speaker 1 (07:58):
And then we got our future in Luca and maybe
will start to rebuild around that. But I think what
will happen is because I think Lebron's gonna officially announce, like,
I don't think he's gonna sneak in the last season.
So I don't think like three quarters of the way
through the season last year he'll be like, oh yeah,
by the way, this is it.
Speaker 2 (08:14):
I think he's gonna want.
Speaker 1 (08:15):
The full go every arena showing him love, the full stop.
Speaker 2 (08:19):
I expect that.
Speaker 1 (08:20):
So until he says this is my last year until
the next season starts, I'm gonna operate that he believes
he has one, you know, two more this upcoming one
and then one more after that.
Speaker 2 (08:29):
And if you're the Lakers, here's the thing.
Speaker 1 (08:31):
If he comes back to you and for the start
of the twenty twenty six twenty twenty seven season and
he says, man, one year, thirty five million something that's
relatively inexpensive for who he is. Why not Because to
me it doesn't hurt. Because the way in which he's
playing and the way he's which he's acknowledged this Lucas
team moving forward.
Speaker 2 (08:49):
I like that.
Speaker 1 (08:50):
It's not like he's still trying to compete still the
spoty of layer. This is Lucas team. I wanted to
be Lucas team, and I want to be up.
Speaker 4 (08:55):
Did you see he was on the All NBA, the
only All NBA player with a minus plus minus.
Speaker 2 (09:02):
Yeah he was a second team, yep, but he was
the only one.
Speaker 4 (09:05):
That's what I'm saying, Like you keep looking at basketball
is more than just putting up empty, meaningless numbers.
Speaker 2 (09:10):
Like there's another side of it, and you can't have
two of those guys.
Speaker 4 (09:14):
So I hear what you're saying that he can put
up these numbers until he's fifty, but it doesn't mean
you're gonna win anything. And at some point they gotta
be serious. Let's build around Luca. He's twenty five, twenty six,
and why are we anchored to a forty year old
who can't stop anybody? We already got a twenty five
year old can't stop anybody. Here, You're not gonna win
and here's why. And it ain't about selling tickets because
(09:35):
the Lakers sell ticket.
Speaker 1 (09:36):
Oh no, we know it's not selling tickets. My guysh
The first quarter is over and the Minnesota Timberwolves have
nine points. Okay, they can start start the game now,
it's all right, So we knick Spacers versus three. They
go ahead and started the promos. Get it going because yeah,
that's a nine points coming off.
Speaker 2 (09:52):
A loss and the first time in NBA history.
Speaker 4 (09:55):
Now that it's gonna be okayc and Indiana, I think
the NBA Finals will start on ME TV.
Speaker 2 (10:01):
I think that's where it's gonna move to.
Speaker 1 (10:03):
It's so bad they might go back to watching it
after the newscast, after tape.
Speaker 4 (10:07):
It might be on tape to lay on spectrum. How's
that not even on over the air television? Hey, what's
up everybody? Kelvin Washington here? That's right after this brutal broadcast.
We're gonna have the game coming up right in about
thirty minutes. Yes, it's at midnight. That bad, No, But
I think Lebron is good again. He's gonna want the
final season. He's gonna want that final love. So we'll
know when that happens.
Speaker 1 (10:27):
And I think also he's locked in with them where
I think they just are gonna ride it out.
Speaker 2 (10:31):
What do you want to do? How do you want
to end that?
Speaker 3 (10:33):
Now?
Speaker 4 (10:33):
It comes in in because God, players don't know when
to stop, like at some point, like even the Packers
with with Brett Fahr, he played like three years after that,
but they were like, oh, okay.
Speaker 1 (10:43):
But that Lakers don't do that right now. What I'm
gonna say, franchise though the Lakers.
Speaker 4 (10:48):
You need to do that sometime because the players will
never quit and they can't give up the life. They
can't give up the limelight, they can't give up the money.
They'll never quit.
Speaker 2 (10:57):
I'm telling you, if you let it go, he would
play till he's fifty.
Speaker 1 (11:01):
Lebron would He won't because Lebron would not want to
be an after talk that doesn't go well with who
he is is what he's been. The Eagle, him being
a top thirty player, forty player that ain't gonna cover.
Speaker 4 (11:12):
After he won, had the nerve the audacity to go
on that podcast with Steve Nash and talk about that
him and Luca weren't the only reason that they lost,
that they had eight other players.
Speaker 2 (11:25):
I would have been like, thank you very much. You
told me all I need to know.
Speaker 4 (11:28):
He's gonna mention the other eight players, But everybody picked
them to win the first round series episode because of
what Because Lebron and Lucas, come on, man, what are.
Speaker 2 (11:37):
You talking about without a doubt?
Speaker 1 (11:38):
But I just can't if you're the Lakers, you're looking
at it as we have a full season now then
to get acclimated. If you're Rod Plinker, you're on the
clock to build around Luca and Lebron and see what
you can cook up this upcoming far. So Lebron's gonna
absolutely PLoP in play this last year. I think he's
gonna bounce back twenty six, twenty seven on a team
friendly deal. So then continue to go get some pieces
(11:59):
and play another year. I think he's got two years
in him, two years left. And and Bryce just graduated
Rob g So Bryce just graduated, And I think I
genuinely believe this that he wont and whether it's a
Laker or now he can go be a Charlotte Hornet.
I think he wants to play in the NBA with
both his sons. I do think that's a factor. I'm
not saying this's it'll be a Laker, but Bryce will
(12:20):
go to college. He's the Arizona He'll play there for
a year, he'll be the number twenty first pick, and
then he'll he'll go in the NBA. Lebron will play
with both sons and then he'll walk away. You heard
it first, bring me some breaking news, Alex, thank you.
That's making eight seven seven bron will play with Bryce
and and you and I can't wait.
Speaker 2 (12:41):
Because you were Yeah, you said that you were going
to Boston.
Speaker 4 (12:45):
You said that Brony was going to be in the
G League all year too. He should have been eight seven,
seven ninety nine on Fox eight seven seven, nine nine,
six sixty three sixty nine.
Speaker 2 (12:55):
Where are you to the Lakers?
Speaker 4 (12:57):
Just this is it one more year for Lebron or
with Kelvin and say, let Lebron do whatever he wants.
Let him play nine more years with his sons and
forget about winning.
Speaker 2 (13:06):
Is that what you said? That's not what I said. Okay,
I thought the got two more years.
Speaker 4 (13:10):
I say one year. I would not extend them past
the chief Lamb and Rice. All right, it is the
odd couple on at worship Wednesday, Rob Parker, Kelvin Washington
right here on Fox Sports Radio want to hear from you,
hit us up and you know what else to do?
Speaker 2 (13:25):
Stick and stay.
Speaker 7 (13:27):
If it's finally time to remove the leech called Lebron
James from the Lakers of the United States of USBA.
Speaker 2 (13:32):
Sounds fine.

(14:06):
tire reck dot com. It is the way tire buying
should be. All Right, We're having a conversation talking about Lebron.
Uh should the Lakers offer him anything beyond next year?
If he were to opt opt in. I think he's
gonna go two more years so he can play with
Bryce and be the first person ever played with two
of his sons. Rob thinks last year should be next
year with the with the Lakers, what say you?
Speaker 4 (14:26):
What you don't realize is they're gonna cut Broun in
order to put Bryce on the roster.
Speaker 1 (14:29):
Well, I know, I said play with meaning he had
to play with him consecutively at the same time. It
could just be hey, I played with two of my
sons eight seven, seven ninety nine on.
Speaker 4 (14:37):
Five should be one more year and the Lakers should
move on. As real simple, let's go with Tim Chili.
Tim in Atlanta. You're on the couple of Fox Sports Radio.
Speaker 2 (14:46):
What's up?
Speaker 11 (14:47):
Tim? Hey, what's up? What's the government?
Speaker 2 (14:50):
Chili?
Speaker 11 (14:51):
Chilli?
Speaker 2 (14:51):
What's happening? What's up?
Speaker 1 (14:53):
Rob?
Speaker 11 (14:54):
He is a joke, true story right, So real quick.
I had a roommate in college. He worked for Kenny
Shoes at the time in the mall. So he was
he was upset, you know about you know, his paycheck,
and he was gonna quit anyway. So this lady came
in and she was a really heavy set lady, and
she asked her something in the size. He took the
shoes out the boxes and told her to put her
feet in the box.
Speaker 4 (15:21):
As a former shoe salesman, like you know what I mean,
I can appreciate that.
Speaker 11 (15:25):
Yeah, But here's my thing with I just see being
lawyers to Kobe. Because Kobe brought him, you know, five championships.
He never really complained about the guys he played with.
He said, you know, he played with a whole bunch
of you know, smash bark in that group, and he
just kept playing because, you know, because he's smushed. But
(15:47):
with Lebn, I mean, he brought you one championship and
that was a COVID Championship, Bubble Championship. He hands don't
won anything since then. He's destroyed teams, trade away players,
lost coaches. So really, what are you being lawyer to him?
You don't owe him what he did for Kobe or
some of the other Lakers greats. So why why did
be loyal to him? If this is it? Let him go.
You know you got Luca. If you can't do it
(16:09):
this year, then hey, I'll sit you back and go
try to win somewhere else.
Speaker 2 (16:13):
If you can't, well I don't. Yeah, I definitely can
never compare to the Kobe Kobe grew up here.
Speaker 1 (16:17):
By the way, they'll be overstating the whole Kobe just
didn't complain about players. Kobe was about be traded to
Detroit if Vanessa didn't want it to go to the trade.
Speaker 2 (16:24):
That story for another day.
Speaker 1 (16:26):
Still it sound a little bitter on no, because people
overstate the like like as if Kobe didn't want to lead,
he put a lot of pressure on them to.
Speaker 2 (16:33):
Get things right. And I'm not mad at I get it.
Speaker 1 (16:35):
Hey, you know, if you have that star player, you
can do that if you're the star player, like that.
Speaker 2 (16:38):
But people back like he never like, he never questioned it.
Now he went everywhere. If you remember that, and Belly
Big was going to be the Clippers, it's going to
be the Pistons. So people do that.
Speaker 1 (16:48):
But I think what the business of the Lakers. They
like being in business with Lebron, Right, in business with
Lebron means more eyes, more conversation.
Speaker 2 (16:55):
Now it's his son.
Speaker 1 (16:56):
Everybody's watching that, and I think people don't grasp that
part of it. Like the Lakers like relevancy, they like
being on top, they like being in the you know,
topic of conversations. And that's more so not necessarily the
same loyalty they would have to Kobe, who played twenty
some years.
Speaker 2 (17:11):
Who next?
Speaker 4 (17:13):
Andre Dre in Massachusetts. You're on the odd couple of
Fox Sports Radio.
Speaker 2 (17:17):
What's up?
Speaker 12 (17:19):
Hey, what's going on? And I thanks for taking the call. Yeah,
in terms of the Kobe Bryant situation, you know, he
did play play out the string, which I think the
Laker's gonna do with Lebron, But Jerry bust he knew
what time it was, you know, he went over to
Kobe's house for the Super Bowl and he did things
to bring Kobe back into the fold, and that's why
they were able to stay with Kobe and win those
next two championships. So it goes both ways with the
(17:39):
organization in this situation, the Lakers have all the leverage.
They have the upper hand based on the fact Lebron
wants to be in LA because of the Hollywood market
and because of his greater aspirations in terms of being
a mogul and all the things that he wants to
do around media. So at the end of the day,
he's got to kick up dust. He's going to do
a whole because he wants to control the narrative, you know,
and increase his Q ratings. Very ajoit at that. So
(18:01):
I might say I might go, but the Lakers know
Geni Busck knows he wants La more than LA wants him.
So what I think you happen is they play out
the stream with Lebron, you know, all the second but
it's Luca's team is the bottom line, okay, And they
build around Luca and Lebron can stay around as long
as he wants to play with his sons. You know,
that's the kind of you know, a life goal that
he wants to do.
Speaker 11 (18:22):
But as soon as he goes.
Speaker 12 (18:23):
Against that basic precept that Lucas team, the Lakers can
step back and say audios. Okay, but I don't think
Lebron's gonna do it. That's why I think they can keep.
Speaker 11 (18:31):
It together for another year or two.
Speaker 12 (18:33):
You have these two pieces together, you know, figure out
how to play right. JJ Redison need some help on
the bench and in terms of managing me too, because
he's not the same type of coach Jason kidd Is,
you know, to get Luca to success before, but play
it out the next two years and then after that
the Lakers can say it's up to them Lebron. But again,
I don't think he wants to leave. I think he
wants to stay there, maybe go back to Cleveland for
(18:54):
a day to retire, but he's concerned with his career
after basketball and being a global icon.
Speaker 1 (19:00):
Thanks taking a call, no doubt appreciate it, Drey. Yeah,
I mean I think everybody knows he wants to be
in LA. You know, this is where it is. He's happy,
he's kids here at school.
Speaker 4 (19:08):
One of the best lines I ever had on Undisputed,
I said he wanted to be a six foot Hey,
Kevin Hart, That's what I was.
Speaker 2 (19:16):
I was it, you know, coming to La.
Speaker 1 (19:18):
And all that six and the Rock put him in
that category without a doubt. All right, we have the
hot seat getting ready, Whoris Patrick got he warming up
over there. He's gonna get cooked. I apologize, Patrick, We're
about to do to you. Look at him nervous. Don't
worry about it, Patty, pat You'll be all right right now,

That's right, Thank you for having me on, Bobby g
Thank you everybody.
Speaker 2 (20:39):
Uh.
Speaker 13 (20:39):
By the way, so if Patty speaks is the Twitter.
But right now it's about to be Patty about to
clap these cheeks right now with this let's go.
Speaker 2 (20:48):
Unbelievable.
Speaker 4 (20:49):
You know what, Patrick came in with a lot of energy,
but you forgot one thing.
Speaker 2 (20:55):
Where's the apple is supposed to go in your mouth?
As we Hey, where's the Rob J Diners back on
trackh so many drops from Rob Parker? Now you were man, let.
Speaker 1 (21:06):
Me tell you something, brouh. This ain't worship whining drop Wednesdays. Yeah,
it is all right, Pat.
Speaker 2 (21:12):
No three, we're gonna gorilla. No, you gotta relax. What
in the pulp fiction is crazy.
Speaker 9 (21:18):
He's got three very hot takes to getting defendom against
the act couple two on one.
Speaker 2 (21:23):
Let's get started. Take number one. Here we go, all right,
So take number one. Let me set it up.
Speaker 9 (21:28):
Pat, geez, I'm sorry, mob back in the back for
seven years. You didn't know how this works.
Speaker 2 (21:32):
There we go. Pat says that JJ McCarthy will be.
Speaker 9 (21:36):
The franchise quarterback for the Minnesota Vikings and he's gonna
be a pro bowler.
Speaker 13 (21:41):
You got thirty seconds. That your case, all right? So
we have JJ McCarthy. He's the Michigan man from Jim
Harbaughs Michigan. I know he was the handoff guy, but
what he's looked like in just preseason and prior to
getting hurt and even ota today, he's slicing and and
he's throwing the guys left and right. He's got that
(22:02):
winning smile, he's got the IQ to go with it.
The man is a student of the game. And what's
that He's only twenty two years old. He is the
next up and coming Minnesota Bikings guy.
Speaker 2 (22:15):
Right now.
Speaker 4 (22:16):
I would take JJ from Good Times over JJ McCarthy.
Patrick for re only gonna be a pro bowler his
first year coming off an injury. Stop it. I know
you're hoping and wishing, but it ain't happening. He's gonna
be on the sideline, probably wearing khakis like he should
(22:37):
have been at Michigan.
Speaker 13 (22:40):
We rob come on, he's got the look. He's like
a six foot three, six foot four. He does have
an arm. Everybody says he doesn't have an arm because
he just hands it off. He can throw it deep.
He's got some legs to him. Even with that injury.
He's got the greatest wide receiver in the NFL with
(23:01):
justin the Jets Jefferson, and he's.
Speaker 2 (23:05):
Gonna do it.
Speaker 1 (23:05):
Patty, pat you're my man that I gotta cook you
and flay you real quick if you tell me about
his legs, his looks, and his smile one more time.
What is this the Bachelor? Don't nobody want to hear
all about that? I watched him every snap in Michigan.
You know, I'm from ann arbre Michelman and every person
I know, including Martin Whis who went to Miss be
we are all shocked.
Speaker 2 (23:23):
He went that high.
Speaker 1 (23:25):
Like him, good guy, play the game and they won.
But in no way he was supposed to get taken
that high. And you guys are about to see why
everybody was shocked, y'all.
Speaker 2 (23:32):
Draft Patrick, it's good to see you. Hello, Alexander. Let
me ask you one thing, Patrick, Yes, sir, what do
you think about me?
Speaker 13 (23:43):
Alex You know I think nothing about the world about you.
Anytime I'm working with you, whether it's in this room
or right next to you, you know, you've always been
my day one.
Speaker 2 (23:52):
And he knows how to get a point. Patrick, it's
the first Roundt's is what it's come to. Man, all right,
here we gonna take number two the hot seat.
Speaker 1 (24:00):
Al It's gonna be so mad when I cut his
hair one day, Patrick sweek.
Speaker 2 (24:03):
No, that's it.
Speaker 4 (24:03):
We're gonna I'm gonna distract him and then snip, snip,
and then he'll be, uh, you know, without his super power.
Speaker 2 (24:10):
Stone producer to the stars. Here on the I Couple.
Here we go take number two.
Speaker 9 (24:14):
Pat says that Jalen Milroe, who rob has never missed
the Jaylen Milro games, will be a star for the
Seahawks and be the next.
Speaker 2 (24:25):
Star threat quarter black. By the way, he's black in
the NFL. Go for black quarterback.
Speaker 13 (24:33):
Jylen Milroe Alabama roll Tide man himself. He came off
having a kind of a bad year this past year.
But you know what, he's got an arm, he's got
legs with him. He's gonna be like the next Jaden Daniels,
if not the next Lamar Jackson. He's gotta work on
some stuff very raw, but you know what, in the
right system and right situation, he's gonna be the next
(24:55):
bona fide superstar.
Speaker 4 (24:57):
So, Patrick, it's obvious that you're and you've watched a
lot of bad football and quarterbacks over the years, because
anybody who puts on a team uniform you think it's
gonna be great. Come on, Patrick, what are you talking about? Oh,
let me see, he's coming off a bad year, but I.
Speaker 2 (25:13):
Think he's gonna be dynamite.
Speaker 4 (25:15):
And Patrick, I'm not saying you're stereotypical you know football fan.
Speaker 2 (25:20):
Well, he's a guy, he's black, and he's got a
fuck bead, so we must be good. So they must
be that what.
Speaker 13 (25:28):
You're saying, No, Rob, what does that happen to do
with anything you Alex, I'm looking at more of him.
Speaker 2 (25:37):
It's just the player himself.
Speaker 13 (25:39):
But Rob, come on, I mean prior to his last year,
he actually played pretty good the year before that, and
you know what, it's different in college to pros. These
are NFL pro coaches. Now they're gonna coach him up.
And he's got pure talent Jackson Smith and Jigba. He's
now got Cooper Cup. He's got an offense around him.
Speaker 1 (26:01):
You know you sound like right now, Patrick, you sound
like a girl who keeps going back to a project.
Speaker 10 (26:05):
Man.
Speaker 3 (26:05):
Girl.
Speaker 2 (26:05):
I know he's not doing this. I know he's not
doing that, but I promise I can change it.
Speaker 1 (26:09):
Every time I saw him, he was always underperforming. It's
a big game, it's a big moment, and he came
up short. I saw with my own eyes in a
Rose Bull against Michigan. He never delivered when he was
supposed to. And just because he looks the part, he's
ripped up and he's fast, doesn't mean it's gonna translate.
Speaker 2 (26:24):
He ain't even as good as Justice Fields.
Speaker 7 (26:27):
I have to say, I'm utterly shocked and also captivated
that the great Ron Parker was able to make us
aware that Patrick is indeed.
Speaker 10 (26:37):
Coup.
Speaker 2 (26:38):
I just said it. There you go, that's pretty funny.
I don't want how to say it.
Speaker 4 (26:42):
I mean, and you know what, I knew it too,
because you know, Patrick always brought in the white chocolate
chip cookies.
Speaker 2 (26:49):
You know what I mean?
Speaker 9 (26:51):
All Right, We're gonna last take in the night, the
hottest taken the night we stayed that that's gotta be racist.
Fox Board Radio Weekend Producer Editor Associate produce Sir Extraordinaire
Patrick Sweeke In in the hot seat with the high couple.
Here we go Patrick's mom in case you guys know,
pulling back the curtain has brought in some tremendous baked
goods to the studio. In fact, Pat says that his
(27:14):
mom baked goods and cookies, no doubt about it, are
the best sweets alive in the US of A, in
the world, America, in the galaxy, Pat, you got thirty seconds.
Speaker 13 (27:27):
Stay your case, Kelvin, Rob and everybody else here in
this building, y'all know exactly what my mama's cookies are
and what they taste like. In fact, not just them,
all the baked goods that she's made. You're telling me
that you've had better, cause I know anytime I bring
him in, everybody everybody goes, oh my god, I see
(27:48):
the dances I've seen Alex go damn and even he
is missed a like healthy and even He's like, I
gotta have some Kelvin. You even made you made a
term for my mother's cookies. I know you know exactly
that I have a dream cookies. I know to bate
me on that there ain't no way anyone tops my mom's.
Speaker 4 (28:09):
First of all, I want you to know the delayed
great Mary Parker. When I was growing up, her nickname
was Betty Crocker. My mom was the best baker. She
baked everybody's birthday cake. What mom bakes everybody's birthday cake
in the neighborhood.
Speaker 2 (28:24):
That's how good her stuff was.
Speaker 4 (28:26):
And you've heard of missus Field's cookies, Patrick, your mom's cookies.
If we had to give it a name, missus outa
left Field cookies.
Speaker 3 (28:34):
I'm saying.
Speaker 2 (28:38):
Now, Rob, Rob, I got two words for you. Stop it.
Speaker 13 (28:43):
Every time for the last year or so she comes
out the cookies. You haven't even had the recent editions
because I want to Dart to win for cheesecake in October,
so it's not reason for you.
Speaker 2 (28:56):
You gotta way.
Speaker 1 (29:00):
All right, listen, I hate to do this because you
know how I feel about mama sweek in the cookies.
But mama Sweek of cookies 't my wife's cookies. And
I'm actually talking about the cookies too, Okay, they're talking
about the actual ones that are going in the oven,
all right. They are the ones that we always wait
every Christmas weekend. I gotta bring y'all something. We get
the whole ten full of them. She makes them all
the time. As matter of fact, my kids gained eleven
(29:20):
pounds because of them. The delicious baby. I'm coming home.
And a matter of fact, I want some cookies and
cookies too, if you know what I'm saying. With that
being said, Mama Swee could go ahead and give me
some cookies. I really wouldn't mind some of.
Speaker 7 (29:32):
Those guys, did you just reference something else while you
were referencing cookies?
Speaker 1 (29:36):
No, say the cookies. She uses flour, brown sugar. Yeah
it's good. Okay, put them in the oven. Three fifty
put them in the oven.
Speaker 7 (29:42):
Also, I would like to jump on the train and
say this, Patrick, you're a new bee here compared to
myself almost at the tenure, and my mom has been
making cookies every December for everybody here on a couple wins,
easy choice.
Speaker 5 (29:57):
How we do?
Speaker 2 (29:58):
Nice job, good myself, Patrick, Mama Swicker, I know I
love them. I know your mom is listening. It's all good.
I've been dreamed it. One day. Tell her that they
closed her cookie store at the mall too. I'm sorry.
Speaker 1 (30:11):
She be uniting. She had a chocolate the white chocolate brown.
I don't even know it was a brown chocolate. She
United United Nations cookie.
Speaker 2 (30:18):
And Patrick gets Okay, you're still racist?
Speaker 3 (30:22):
Why why?
Speaker 2 (30:23):
Patrick? You did good?
Speaker 1 (30:25):
And if only we all had a Patrick in our
life to believe in us no matter what, like JJ
and Jalen have you in their corner.
Speaker 2 (30:30):
That's right.
Speaker 13 (30:31):
Get you a guy that looks at you like I
do with JJ McCarthy.
Speaker 2 (30:34):
Any quarterback with a jay apparently you love them. Martin.
Speaker 1 (30:37):
Am I lying that that that J. J. McCarthy was okay?
We were like, yeah, he's our quarterback. Good, but tenth
pick can't confirm, thank you.
Speaker 4 (30:45):
And I'll all the whole summer leading up to it,
as Harbor was saying I take him, I was like,
well trade justin Herbert and.
Speaker 2 (30:50):
You draft him.
Speaker 1 (30:51):
To everybody from Michigan or went to Michigan, we are like, uh.
Speaker 3 (30:54):
Remember the Rose Bowl.
Speaker 1 (30:56):
I was there the first play dude, he was Yeah,
So I mean it's sincerely. I've said it to Rob
when we talked Sam Donald, J. J. McCarthy, I have
been blown away at I'm like, did I miss something?
Speaker 2 (31:07):
For a couple of years.
Speaker 8 (31:08):
I thought the same thing. I used to get mad
when they threw the ball. That is not the sign
of a first round quarterback to me. And in the
first round to jump up the tenth to get him
that was crazy. But either way, great job Patrick, Appreciate it. Mama, sweet,
you know what I need, what I need, what I need,
what I need? You know I need it.
Speaker 2 (31:23):
I know she's listening. Oh you, Maybe she'd be cooking
on Instagram too, she'd be going at.
Speaker 14 (31:29):
I had a glisy in my mouth. My all right,
what is that sauce on your back?

Speaker 10 (34:55):
And I've seen you all over TV forever. Colvid nothing
against you, Bro, I gotta, I gotta, you know, look
up your trophiles, start to see what you look like.
I always saw maybe like a young Jimzel or something.
Sce rausis raubs in, sad shady man. So they change
it now every time I hear your voice, because, like
I said, I see a picture or nothing, I think
(35:16):
of what was his name, Bookman?
Speaker 4 (35:18):
To make me down there you go, you nailed it
with If Bookman was a newscaster, that would be Calvin.
Speaker 1 (35:25):
See here's the thing, Dan, you already know they're not
gonna let me on TV. If you know what I'm saying,
looking don't. I don't have a face for radio?
Speaker 2 (35:30):
Is that what I just? I just give you my time.
You know what I mean. I'm just saying books.
Speaker 4 (35:36):
So you're trying to say that if you were four
hundred pounds you wouldn't be on TV?
Speaker 2 (35:39):
Is that what you're saying? You're on one today?
Speaker 1 (35:42):
Hey, yo, hey yo, I'm asking I'm not doing this,
Jason Smith, come in here right now, Jason, I can't.
Speaker 4 (35:51):
Don't you see those big linemen in the NFL. Damien
Wood he's on, isn't he. I'm just saying he's a
big guy.
Speaker 2 (35:57):
He does Lou. You can tell Damien Lou like he'll look,
but he does a great job. He's a good analysts
on a ESPN.
Speaker 1 (36:05):
Hey, between you and Mark right now, I'm hanging on.
I'm like, I'm barely about to make it right now.
Speaker 2 (36:09):
Who are you? Loose Ends? Nothing? That's a banger? Look
at you?
Speaker 5 (36:13):
There? You go?
Speaker 2 (36:14):
You think I only know Yoko on on the Beatles?
You ask like any association? Like not talking about the NBA.
I'm talking about loose Ends. How many people gonna bring
up looser down?
Speaker 1 (36:26):
Because I can't take that stow down?
Speaker 2 (36:31):
Boy?
Speaker 1 (36:31):
Ron Parker, You just when I was giving up hope
on you, I thought all hope was lost.
Speaker 2 (36:35):
Nah, are you kidding?
Speaker 4 (36:36):
You come back. I'm a die in the wall brother.
You just don't understand me. I'm just flexible, and i
just know a lot of stuff. And I'm a world
traveler and I'm an international spy, I mean international.
Speaker 2 (36:49):
God, this man be rob G is like, what is
this show going to be over? Rob G?
Speaker 1 (36:57):
You are not making it six years period once? And
like I said, I know what you're doing too. What
you said, what you said, when you said what you said, you.
Speaker 9 (37:04):
Might not make it to September at this point, Martyre,
you busy because it might have to be you and
Kelvin from now on.
Speaker 2 (37:11):
Rob The Timberwolves might last longer. First season might last
longer than your contract. Man. A man was walking the
streets to La. Remember it was all good just a
week long ago.
Speaker 1 (37:22):
He was walking the streets to LA, taunting the fans,
talking smack. It's cold in Minnesota right now. He about
to be walking around there cold right now. Ant man
new name. Can't man, can't get it done. You know what,
Rob G, we never talked about that. You came in here,
took my money.
Speaker 2 (37:37):
One day.
Speaker 4 (37:38):
He did remember that and was handing it out to everybody.
I had no idea he handed me in.
Speaker 2 (37:42):
I gave it back to you yet, but you gave
also Kelvin a twenty and somebody else. I was like,
I kept looking at you, going, what a good show?
Good show, good show.
Speaker 1 (37:51):
I told him a story when I did that to
somebody and I accidentally ended up walking out without the money.
You left, and I said, robb G you just did it.
Rob Parker's leave and you accidentally kept his money. Thankfully
you came back. Did you ever realize did you ever
count it? I think take the heat slow down? Huh
did you count your money down? You might have been
(38:12):
twenty short. You might have paid for lunch, Rode, I
can't take the he slow down, that's right.
Speaker 2 (38:22):
Take the hard tak hard to dak.
Speaker 4 (38:25):
To feed on The Jason Smith Show with Mike Harmon
is coming up next.
Speaker 3 (38:31):
I never missed your radio show.
Speaker 2 (38:32):
I never hear it, so I never miss it. Did
you hear that? Is that sauce on your back
