Speaker 1 (01:53):
Yeah, Rob g let's let's you know what, before we
get into that, let's get some tweets. And I'm also
gonna tell you what I'm want to do because I'm
bummed out. I couldn't get the stuff that I need
to put together. Okay, so I think.

Speaker 2 (02:06):
Oh yeah, yeah, your furniture stuff and on it. I
think I'm gonna have to try to do it myself tomorrow.
Yeah forbid, I don't know. I don't know how to
work a screwdriver. Whoa, yeah, I know how.

Speaker 3 (02:19):
To drink one, but I don't know how to work
It's funny, come on, man, you know how just talk
about the can you change a tire?

Speaker 2 (02:26):
Of course? Come on, all right, I'm making sure that's
my barometer of like it's easy because I've been out
there with a bunch of time to get out there.
Rob you'll be surprised. I'm just saying I.

Speaker 1 (02:36):
Feel like like putting together furniture and all that. Just
I'd rather hire somebody. Listen, don't get it twisted. I
tell people all the time. I keeps people employed. Shut up,
rob G before you even say something, Just shut up
right now?

Speaker 2 (02:48):
All right, rob Gie, where's it quick?

Speaker 4 (02:50):
Can I tell you the most embarrassing that happened to
be here, aside from shutting off the network for like
five minutes?

Speaker 2 (02:55):
Did you kick out the plug? No? It was even
worse than that. I can tell you later.

Speaker 4 (02:58):
But I was leaving here again Fox Sports. I'm thinking
of wearing like a Lakers shirt or whatever. I'm a
male in my late twenties. Walk out to my car.
Got a flat tire. I'm all right, cool, I can
change the flat. I got the spare, Open up the trunk.
There's no spare in the tire that I had purchased
two years before, so I had to call a tow

(03:19):
truck to come and bring in the stuff. You had
to just sit there, just sit there, and the guy's
nearly infronting you.

Speaker 2 (03:26):
Putting on a spare tire. They got like, oh, you
don't have to do you ain't a real life rogie.

Speaker 1 (03:30):
You had a real man. I was tough that just
sits there normally. Do it just I don't have a
to Why did you tell him that?

Speaker 4 (03:37):
Because it didn't matter at that point, he was already
the judgment was crazy.

Speaker 2 (03:41):
You were definitely this young guy. How put thattic is he? Absolutely?
You know what I said?

Speaker 1 (03:45):
I think I speak for everybody at the auto shot
When I say you make me sick, get out of
the call.

Speaker 2 (03:51):
He's like, no, wonder you can't grow a beard. Absolutely,
You're like, where are you at?

Speaker 5 (03:54):
Man?

Speaker 2 (03:54):
None? Man?

Speaker 3 (03:55):
I had this dude. No, this dude couldn't he tages
his own tire for real?

Speaker 2 (03:58):
Dizzy a man? Yeah, I thought he would. I thought
it showed up. I thought it was like.

Speaker 1 (04:01):
A sixty five year old woman. When I called it
came on the twenty eight year old can't change it?
Why got no girl?

Speaker 3 (04:07):
Why I ain't got no girl? That's why you know
that she was a real man. That's what he was
saying about.

Speaker 2 (04:11):
And we had to sit in the tow truck together.
I'm just sitting there watching.

Speaker 3 (04:16):
Alex and Robie's legs were swinging to you know what
I've never been happier. He got his whole things clipped.

Speaker 6 (04:23):
What you don't need more of those out?

Speaker 2 (04:25):
Any more of those those he didn't even have to
clip it. They went in.

Speaker 7 (04:29):
They were like, oh little short legs flicking change a
tire licking.

Speaker 2 (04:33):
That's what we're talking about.

Speaker 7 (04:34):
There's nothing more demastulating, i'd say, than you having to
watch another man change your time.

Speaker 6 (04:38):
Yeah, that's that's top five for real.

Speaker 3 (04:41):
Now you start making up excuses. You know it's crazy.
You know my I had twisted my wrist earlier. Yeah, no,
it's crazy because the doctor gonna tell me my back
is man, I shouldn't be out here changing You start
making up excuses.

Speaker 2 (04:52):
He's sitting there like, m h mm hmm. That was rough.
That was Let's read some of the odd mob.

Speaker 4 (04:58):
The youtwo being down will effect obviously anytime you talk
about mac and Cheese and Shadoor Sanders, the comments are
going crazy. Just a few of my favorites, though. A
one Primetime movie says, uh fun odd couple drinking game,
take a shot every time. Rob says push back, you
be smashed by this, U. I want pushback in my life.

(05:20):
Carlos says Tebow chaudor bring people's e motions out. I
love to see it. That is true, It is true.

Speaker 2 (05:27):
We saw this. Sure, the t bow chador thing is
very real. It's it's extremely real. And then here's another one.

Speaker 4 (05:34):
Uh, this one I don't really understand, but I'm gonna
read it anyways. Uh, sports guru A k. A. D. H.
Grove says, please don't start me on the hired help
like Manci or Rob g complete waste of time.

Speaker 6 (05:48):
That one hurts facts.

Speaker 2 (05:52):
I didn't think that's where we're going, Alex.

Speaker 6 (05:54):
What I'm confused.

Speaker 3 (05:59):
Maybe responding to somebody in the comments and said, don't
let me start on the hiring.

Speaker 2 (06:03):
Hell. First of all, Rob is goded and.

Speaker 3 (06:06):
We are hired here though. Secondly, and we all hired technically. Thirdly,
so like what.

Speaker 2 (06:11):
We I think.

Speaker 1 (06:13):
I think it's about the idea of you hiring people
to do for you. Yeah, this is about you. No,
he specific, it's right, I'm serious, it's about Before you responds,
that's no, it's about it's about you commented about hiring people.

Speaker 3 (06:34):
You got one more time. I'm about to push back.
I'm just saying, keep an employee, Yes I do. I
keep people hiring ain't gonna lie.

Speaker 2 (06:42):
Rob Let's go here.

Speaker 4 (06:44):
You know who else is people hired and employees is
the Detroit Lions because they have played football on Thanksgivings
as mobi Dick was a guppy.

Speaker 1 (06:53):
And you know what, a lot of people have tried
to take it from Detroit. There's one time I'm going
to fight against that.

Speaker 2 (07:00):
Because you're pushing back.

Speaker 1 (07:01):
This is a pushback because the old, the old sold
drug after the show. If you play that game, the
owner of the Lions is the one who came up
with the idea of playing it.

Speaker 2 (07:11):
So they stabbing and it's a holiday in Detroit.

Speaker 3 (07:15):
Is if you live in the Detroit area, you had
at some point you went to a Thanksgiving.

Speaker 2 (07:21):
And it's as funny as he's talking about the Lions.

Speaker 4 (07:24):
It is a legitimate honor to play on Thanksgiving in
the NFL because it is without question, the most watched
regular season day of football, even more than Opening Day.

Speaker 1 (07:33):
Everybody's home, it is, everybody's locked in, and it's most
of the country is cold.

Speaker 2 (07:38):
You're not going anywhere.

Speaker 4 (07:40):
You get up and you know a lot of places,
and so Joe Burrow will be playing on Thanksgiving tomorrow night.
We believe against the Baltimore Ravens, and he was asked
by the media earlier this week what it means to
him to play on Thanksgiving.

Speaker 2 (07:54):
Take a listen.

Speaker 8 (07:55):
I think just like a lot of kids, you you
grow up going through Thanksgiving, you have your meals with
your family, and then you go and sell on the
couch and typically there's not a lot on except football.
Back in the day it was Lions and somebody. You
go watch Matthew Stafford throw for three hundred four hundred
some yards with Calvin Johnson and probably lose the game,

(08:17):
but it was fun to watch. You know, those are
memories that you have, and so I kind of always
wanted to be the person out there.

Speaker 2 (08:23):
Thank you, Joe Burrow. I love this man, Joe Burrow.
I love you. Mar to watch out. I love you,
Joe Burrow. You're going for Bengos and Ravens tomorrow. Ravens,
make sure make it so you might.

Speaker 1 (08:41):
But you know why because he nailed the Matthew Stafford.
The way you look at Matthew Stafford, that is that
is like the the whole thing. Like he grew up
watching Matthew Stafford. You always talking about, well, he the
quarterback quarterback. Everybody like, no, Matthew Stafford, that I going

(09:01):
for three hundred yards and losing and always losing, and
the Lions and all that kind of stuff. That's the
kind of thing that unless Matthew Stafford does something like shocking,
which is win another super Bowl in his MVP, there's
still that that pass that he has to fight the
way people look at him. And as somebody who watched
his very first game and watches like most of his

(09:23):
career up close and personal, as I covered the Lions
home and road, you know, in all those games, there's
a lot of bad juju, video film, whatever you want
to call it. You know, of Matthew Stafford's day with
the Lions, there is. And he did win the Super
Bowl with the Rams, who had already won before you.

Speaker 2 (09:44):
Got I'm gonna qualify, don't qualify?

Speaker 1 (09:46):
He won and no, but but but they had already
gone without him. It's like it's almost like the Brock
Party thing. Why I'm not a big Brock Party They
had already gone.

Speaker 2 (09:55):
Why be the pioneer or something?

Speaker 5 (09:57):
Ron?

Speaker 2 (09:57):
Why can't he just ben.

Speaker 4 (10:00):
Me?

Speaker 3 (10:00):
Can never succeed with the Patriot because you know, Tom
Brady had already won six over there, So Drake may
can't win now.

Speaker 1 (10:06):
No, no, no, My point is that team was already put
together and it's not like he led them and was
the super Bowl MVP.

Speaker 2 (10:13):
But he actually had two interceptions.

Speaker 3 (10:15):
You do realize this is exactly what Sean McVeigh was saying,
Man were really good, if only we had a quarterback
who was better than Jared Goff.

Speaker 2 (10:22):
No, but you say, Jared GoF is gonna win the
lines of Super Bowl. That's what that's that's that's my hope.
No better than Matthew Stafford. Oh so, so, so they
took a downgrade. No, Matthew Stafford, that was a downgrade,
the Lion's down grade.

Speaker 3 (10:34):
Oh yeah, why would they trade him because Matthew's raking
about it there?

Speaker 2 (10:38):
Okay, Mounty point is that is the bag Jack Nice.

Speaker 1 (10:42):
That is the baggage that Matthew Stafford carries with him.
And unless he wins another super Bowl, so you got
to win another, you gotta win another.

Speaker 3 (10:51):
Thirty touchdowns and two in sevens already a super Bowl win.
I think he's five and two in the playoffs with
with the Rams, and he got to win another.

Speaker 2 (10:57):
Supers They only got two losses, because then he's five
Maybe it's five and three nine to the last year,
but he was five and two five. And what about
the three losses with the Lions. I mean he's the Rams. No,
but his lifetime record is under five hundred.

Speaker 3 (11:10):
How some of his playoffs with the ram Yeah, but
his whole career, we're looking at his whole When you
said that, I thought you would referring to what I
said with the Rams, So all right, I think you
misinterpreted what he was saying. I think what he was
saying is Matthew Stafford would do exactly what he was
supposed to do, throw three four hundred yards, but the

(11:30):
team would still lose. And that is oftentimes was the case.
And I think Joe Burrow was also taking a little
shot on his own team, because what did Joe Burrow.

Speaker 2 (11:41):
Do last year?

Speaker 3 (11:43):
Throw forty something touchdowns, almost five thousand yards, balling out
of control three four hundred yards and still lose. So
I think he was taking a little shot at his
own team, like, hey, I know a little something about throwing.

Speaker 1 (11:57):
Talking about he was talking about just that is my
interpretation Thanksgiving saying Thanksgiving memory is Matthew Stafford throwing up
three hundred meaningless yards and another loss. It was actually
that's exactly what he was talking about.

Speaker 3 (12:09):
It was it meaning that those putrid years where we
had quarterback after quarterback at the quarterback, well, you can't
even it was Kidna and who else was in there?

Speaker 2 (12:18):
Uh, didn't one bad. He was like.

Speaker 3 (12:23):
A middle ist, like all right, I'm not mat mad
at kidding. He was like a Jameis Winston. We're like,
all right, we can win some, we might lose something.
He wasn't bad, but we had it. We had a
run of some just bad quarterback play. But no, I
think that's more of what he was saying. But Matthew Stafford,
he has interesting history in Detroit. We talked about it before.
I think one of the reasons why people in that
area will still respect him because he wanted to.

Speaker 2 (12:43):
He didn't shy way.

Speaker 3 (12:44):
He didn't do an Eli or some other people, maybe
even a Shador and then like I don't want to
go there, I'll pass. He was like, never a can basket.
He sure the Lions are going to be their own sixteen.
You want to go that bad organization break it all,
I'm ready. I want to be a part of the change.
You remember Caleb and his father was like, I don't know,
we want want to go to Chicago. We might want
to go to DC. Matthew was like, YO, bring it.
And I think he earned a lot of respect out

(13:05):
in Detroit for that that. He was helped be part
of the change and got to a few postseason runs.
So but they were listen as a Lions fan. There
were some brutal Thanksgiving. The best thing was thank God,
something on my plate because I know that's football game
about to be terrible. There was a lot of years
like that. I can't lie, I can't lie. There was
many a here like that.

Speaker 1 (13:25):
We had the barbershops when he cuts on seven mile
Row between out of Driving Myers. We used to have
Lion season tickets that we used to give like when
you got a haircut, you would get a ticket from
your barber. We put it into a you know, a
draft or whatever. Yep, and you know, if you kept
coming and we start giving out Lion season tickets. Before that,

(13:46):
that oh and sixteenth season, we had called up. They
had called eight people, Hey we got we got a
pair of tickets.

Speaker 2 (13:52):
These were Lower Bowl. We weren't lower.

Speaker 1 (13:56):
We got a pair of tickets to Lions game on Sunday, whatever,
lower one hundred eleven. What else I got what I'd
rather get?

Speaker 3 (14:04):
Three free haircuts, and I get a haircut free for
the month, every month, every week for a month.

Speaker 2 (14:08):
They didn't want to go. It was it was. It
was bad. It's the weirdest thing. You were there.

Speaker 3 (14:12):
They have a massive fan base that unwarranted because they
didn't deserve the fan base that they have. You I
think you would even agree on that. No, I mean
so bad, it was so bad for so long they
didn't deserve that.

Speaker 2 (14:23):
I get it.

Speaker 1 (14:23):
You know, it's a great sports town. I told you,
I've worked all over the country. It's the greatest sports
town in America. I don't care what anybody says as
much as Rabbit fans. Boston, Philadelphia, New York, you know
what I mean. I think those cities, a lot of them,
they were already split, you know, because there's multiple teams.

Speaker 2 (14:40):
Detroit has that and all.

Speaker 1 (14:42):
Right, eight seven seven ninety nine on Fox you want
to hear from you eight seven seven nine nine six
sixty three sixty nine. Should Matthew Stafford's history of losing
in Detroit keep him out of the Hall of Fame
when you think of him like Joe Burrow did they
thought about Thanksgiving Day?

Speaker 2 (15:00):
That's when you used to.

Speaker 1 (15:00):
Watch Matthew Stafford every year? Like that, used to watch
them every.

Speaker 2 (15:05):
Year for years?

Speaker 1 (15:07):
And what did you think of them then and think
of them now? And could that keep them out of
the Hall of Fame. We'll continue that conversation next with you.
It is the Odd Couple on a worship Wednesday, Rob Parker,
kelvin Washington, right here on Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 2 (15:19):

We got our own hair and that's right to it
and follow us like his subscribe thumbs up common away
to hold on Rob Z read some comments earlier in
the show, So go check out our YouTube page. All right,
eight seven seven ninety nine on Fox, Joe Burrows con
took a job a Matthew Stafford. Uh little bit, you
can perceive it that way. I'm trying to think it

(16:59):
was something else. No, it was a quarterback. Quarterback. It
was his way of winking and saying I understand he
could have stopped that.

Speaker 2 (17:07):
Oh yeah.

Speaker 1 (17:07):
And then I watched Thanksgiving Day and Matthew Stafford would
throw for three four hundred yards and I got to
watch Calvin Johnson.

Speaker 3 (17:13):
Yeah, and you could have stopped right there. He could
have stopped right It was a message to his team.
Had me doing three hundred four hundred yards still losing.
That's what he was saying. Rob, Who, well, what you
got eight seven, seven ninety nine on Fox?

Speaker 2 (17:24):
All right, Dre in Michigan. You're on the couple of
Fox Sports Radio. What's up?

Speaker 5 (17:29):
What's up? Those fellas up?

Speaker 11 (17:30):
Good?

Speaker 2 (17:31):
Happy Thanksgiving to you, my man, Thank you, thank you.

Speaker 11 (17:34):
Ay Rob, I was in Kelly the other day, Man,
I get the whole Ross thing. Now, they got some good.

Speaker 1 (17:40):
Regular clothing, regular all of regular, but you know, like
like they don't have a lot of sizes, all kinds
of stuff.

Speaker 2 (17:49):
Definitely listen.

Speaker 11 (17:52):
From Cold and True, Relived and all.

Speaker 2 (17:54):
Yeah, you can hit a lick. You can hit a
lick in.

Speaker 5 (17:56):
There, right right hey. But no, he would take a jab.
He was just eating speaking facts.

Speaker 11 (18:01):
I mean, I'm a Detroit Lions fan, and that's what
I remember to say. I wanted to take the game
from the Lion, like, man, I'm kind of watching this
same year, so I do, but I don't with regards
to right now. If Matthew Stafford didn't win the MVP,
he got a Super Bowl, you gotta give him, give him,
put him in the Hall of Fame.

Speaker 5 (18:18):
I'm just saying.

Speaker 11 (18:19):
I mean, if you look at Eli Record, we talk
about putting him in the Halloway Fan, Yes he.

Speaker 1 (18:22):
Got to Eli didn't get in and Stafford. If Stafford
does it, Stafford didn't win an Super Bowl.

Speaker 2 (18:28):
MVP, you don't have to be like first ballot. I'm
okay with that.

Speaker 1 (18:32):
Yeah, I'm just saying, like Eli to me, if you
look at the two Super Bowl MVPs and two Super
Bowls and you're saying no to him, by the way,
you know what I mean, Like Stafford never all these years.

Speaker 2 (18:43):
Look at the Pro Bowls.

Speaker 1 (18:44):
Stafford only had like two alternate alternates, right, Rob, g
I think two alternates.

Speaker 2 (18:49):
Matthews never made a Pro Bowl fifteen Rob, I'm okay.

Speaker 3 (18:54):
If Matthew Stafford doesn't get in the Hall of Fame,
I think the Hall of Fame is supposed to be
a Brady Peyton mat Like if I throw out these
names or you go, yeah, Barry Centers, Yes, Deon Sanders.

Speaker 2 (19:04):
Yeah. But I'm not mad at that.

Speaker 1 (19:08):
Because I'm with you, and I tell you this all
the time. If we have to have a debate about you,
you're not a Hall of Famer.

Speaker 2 (19:15):
That's what I feel about Eli. But we got a debate.
There's no debate with right there.

Speaker 1 (19:22):
I just think that that's that's really hard to do one.
Anybody can win one.

Speaker 3 (19:26):
I'm not winning it, but I just wanted more. He
didn't do anything during the regular season.

Speaker 1 (19:30):
Rob that's top ten and touchdowns and top ten. Albert
and Riverdale, California, You're in the odd couple. Fox Sports Radio.
What's up Riverside? I'm sorry, I said Riverdale like New
York Riverside, California.

Speaker 2 (19:44):
What's up? How are you? Albert?

Speaker 5 (19:47):
Baby? I was going guys giving.

Speaker 2 (19:51):
That's right.

Speaker 12 (19:51):
Enjoy tomorrow, yes, sir, right, will look like medical point. Yeah,
like when the Lions were on things giving the past.
So Matt Stafford, that was the first game. I wouldn't
even pay attention to it. I was get ready for
the noon game and the and the night game. The
Lions game. I would never watch it because I know
it was going to be a blowout when Matt Stafford
was a quarterback.

Speaker 3 (20:11):
Actually, look going I want to see his record on there.
I don't know, do you know what it is, Roger,
I'm gonna looking up. Well, that wasn't good.

Speaker 1 (20:18):
For the Lions. So it was bad. It couldn't have
been that game. I mean, you can waste your time
for that. But it wasn't curious. I'm literally just curious. No, no, no, lot.
But the Lions game. You're saying going up on the
West coast, because the Lions game would come on at
nine thirty, right Pacific.

Speaker 12 (20:32):
Yeah, yeah, in the morning for sure.

Speaker 2 (20:34):
Watching the Cowboys game.

Speaker 3 (20:35):
He won that bad Yeah, four and six. I thought
he was like the way we making it like, he
was two and eight, one and nine.

Speaker 5 (20:44):
And not that bad.

Speaker 12 (20:45):
But but it was a loss of most of the time.
But yeah, But for Stafford be in the Hall of Famer,
I think, yeah, like he I think he is. He
won't be a first ballot. There would probably be like
a second ballot. But I'll tell you this, if he
wins the MVP this year, I think first ballot is
on the table because yeah, because he has a super
bull He's got the MVP of the stats, and yeah,
he should be a first value of that happens.

Speaker 1 (21:06):
Yeah, there's a lot of other quarterbacks who uh got
to who else?

Speaker 2 (21:10):
Jim Plunkett has two super not getting it. They a'g
gonna let Jaimyn No, not even on the scene or whatever,
but he had but he has two Super Bowls.

Speaker 1 (21:19):
Uh, Dick in Dayton, that's how man in Dayton, Ohio,
you're in the odd couple of Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 2 (21:24):
What's up, Dick? Happy Thanksgiving?

Speaker 13 (21:26):
They're happy Thanks Tivan. I was telling your screener, everybody's
getting ready for this big Ohio State and Michigan game,
and you know, we've long four times to them, and
I'm thinking they this quarterback, I think is gonna break
the spell this young guys that the Buck guys got.
What do you guys think?

Speaker 2 (21:47):
Yeah, I mean their favorite.

Speaker 3 (21:49):
I think they favored Big too, So I mean I
think that they're they're clearly folks expecting to win. But
you know how it is with these rivalry games where
it's like if you you go all out. So they
got a lot of people got Michigan losing by like
a couple of touchdowns, maybe even a couple of little
bit Michigan won that game.

Speaker 13 (22:06):
Shot the numberst thing I thought was good last week.
I'm a Sanders fan. He was pretty good against the Raiders.
You know he did well.

Speaker 1 (22:14):
You know, you ain't gotta tell me, just tell Rob that. Yeah,
it's great. You dump off a pass and a guy
runs sixty eight yards. That's pretty amazing. Well, he's better
dump him off every week. All right, thank you for
the car.

Speaker 2 (22:25):
Appreciate in the red zone.

Speaker 3 (22:27):
Okay, did that took him than we were sold?

Speaker 2 (22:31):
Right? Okay, that was strange. I know what I did that.

Speaker 3 (22:33):
Mike Pritchard on the way, former NF we can see him.
Former NFL wide receiver Colorado.

Speaker 2 (22:37):
Wanted to get sacked to throw an interception in the
end zone.

Speaker 3 (22:40):
Yeah, he should have definite kept me look like Bryce
Young and Brock Party and it was throwing interceptions Manzi Malanyos.

Colorado Lummon, host of The Football Contest show in Vegas.

Speaker 2 (23:12):
Thanksgiving? What's happening.

Speaker 5 (23:14):
It's great to be with you guys.

Speaker 2 (23:15):
How you doing doing well? Man?

Speaker 1 (23:16):
I just want to know, is your jersey retired? At Colorado?
They just retired everybody's jersey.

Speaker 5 (23:23):
Everytimes I've been asked that question. Now, they gave me
the Hall of Fame, they gave me the m v P.
And and no, it's yet. It has yet to be retired.

Speaker 2 (23:31):
Come on, I'm not trying to start nothing but serious.

Speaker 5 (23:36):
Period.

Speaker 2 (23:37):
Come on, man, you're starting to petition. What'll we be doing?
What you're going on? Not to Mike, I'm saying it,
Mike's starting it. I'm just saying all right, I'm just
all right.

Speaker 5 (23:44):
Hey, Now, if my pops was coaching when I was playing,
be a different story.

Speaker 1 (23:48):
Thought doubt. Uh, let's just go to the elephant in
the room. Uh, Chador Sanders. You watched them obviously, and
just your take on I mean, I know people, well,
he's very polarizing because the Chador people. If some doesn't
go right, it is because Judy dropped the ball or

(24:08):
the scheme is bad, or he didn't have an offensive line,
and if he throws the screen pass that goes for
seventy yards, he's the greatest quarterback ever.

Speaker 2 (24:15):
I mean that's where.

Speaker 5 (24:16):
We are, absolutely. I mean I think, first of all
is Shoulder Sanders. I mean, if he was anybody different,
it wouldn't be the same. I mean it's Tim Tebow
times ten all over again. When you think about how
it's polarizing, right, But I'll say this, I think Shadour
has got the ability to be an NFL quarterback in

(24:36):
NFL starter, a franchise quarterback, I don't know, but certainly
he can play in this league. Now, how do you
go about it? He's with a god off of football
team in franchise right now. But with time and development,
I think he can turn into something that's steady and
something that you can get behind. So of course he's
got fans. I mean we all got fans. I mean

(24:57):
the most popular people got fans. And that's the thing.
I mean, because you're popular, you're gonna have fans, you're
gonna be famous, but do you have any substance behind it?
So I think we're waiting for that substance with Shador.

Speaker 2 (25:07):
And here's the.

Speaker 1 (25:07):
Other thing too, And you mentioned that Tim Tebowl times ten,
that was the reason nobody wanted Tim Tebow around. You know,
like if he's not a starting quarterback, you know, like
he becomes a distraction.

Speaker 2 (25:20):
All the reporters are going over to his locker.

Speaker 1 (25:23):
When are your playing shaduor like it becomes an issue
if he's.

Speaker 2 (25:28):
Not the starting quarterback. Would you agree with that, Mike?

Speaker 5 (25:32):
Absolutely one. I mean, I think you know you don't
want your backup quarterbacks or anybody on the roster to
be more popular than the starter, right, But that was
going to be the case regardless. And the fact that
Cleveland kept Shador told me that, Okay, they're ready for
that moment. So I mean, I'm not mad at anybody
that wants to go after Cleveland and say, Okay, why

(25:52):
did you wait so long to play shardor you know,
if you would have played exceptional against the Raiders, but
he played okay, And so you're not going to get
that that stream of questioning. But but if he goes
out there and backs it up, and then you're gonna
be like, okay, wait a minute, why did you wate
so long to play? Why did you put Dylan Gabriel
out there when when you know we watched him play,
he can't play in the league. So so you got

(26:13):
that element. Uh, certainly a few the Browns, But I hope,
I hope Shador proves everybody wrong, to be honest with you,
because the guy loves football. Do you know this about him?
He's passionate about the game and he wants to be great.
You know, never mind the side show, right that that's
going to come along with it, because that's the spotlight
of that family.

Speaker 3 (26:32):
Mike, let me ask you that he wants to be great. Yeah,
let's stay there with the side show for a minute.
As he starts to become more of a franchise you know,
I'm the starter of this team, and then maybe he's
a starter next season, you know, trying to put the
franchise kind of thing on that, as they do with quarterbacks.
Do you think the side show kind of goes away
understanding like, all right, this is business, you know, and
I want to I want to lock in on that

(26:53):
and focus on that and not be all the other
or do you think that's just who he is and
it is what it is, and you take it and
you you know, you run with it.

Speaker 5 (26:59):
That's what he is. I mean, you're going to have
to run with it. You're gonna have to handle it.
You're gonna have to be able to deal with it.
But that's what comes with the package. So if you
are the GM of Cleveland, you accepted that because you
know that there are so many teams out there that's
afraid of that that that's why they passed on them. Right, Sure,
Door's not going to change. I mean we see coach
Prime and who he is right now. He hasn't changed,

(27:21):
So I don't I don't know why you would want
to change Shador though, to be honest with you, because
if you just watch the man work, if you see
how much passion he has for this game and how
he wants to be great, I think you can get
behind that. But we don't normally see that from the
quarterback position though, right we don't see that flash. We
don't we see that that CEO mentality, And a lot

(27:42):
of times you see that in the league that owners
and certain teams they want that CEO mentality or that look.
But shardor you know, Shador is Shador, and I think
that's what you got to realize about the man.

Speaker 1 (27:54):
All right, let's get to some games. I think this
Packers Lions game is huge. Detroit got to give from
the Giants last week. They could really be in trouble
if they lose this game. I picked them before the
season started not to make the playoffs, to finish ten
and seven, and if they lose to the Packers, I
think I'm gonna be spot on.

Speaker 5 (28:13):
Yeah, I think he might be. I mean it's possibility,
it's thinct possibility because what the Packers do well is
something that the Lions don't do very well, and that's
third down situations. And we see why. You know, Campbell's
going forward on fourth down a lot and all that.
But they get into the red zone. I mean they're dangerous,
but certainly gives is dangerous from the minus five yard,
I mean good, yeah, yeah, But the Packers are number

(28:37):
one in the league and third down efficiency. You know,
if Josh Jacobs is able to play up to a
certain level, then certainly running the ball is going to help.
But I think the Packers can get with Detroit and
this one. I got it as a one point game,
so anything and everything can happen in those divisional matchups.

Speaker 3 (28:55):
Yeah, it's gonna be a big one. I know they
got right now back. I don't know if he's gonna
be able to play this week, next week kind of
get back. Who knows, but that's a huge could be
huge for them, get helping with that running games.

Speaker 2 (29:04):
Playing this week, he's gonna be raggedy.

Speaker 3 (29:05):
And hey, you know what, I'll take it the way
that line and then that defensive line kind of all right,
let me go to another game that ended up being
coming now interesting because both teams are kind of hanging
on to the playoff lives, the Chiefs and the Cowboys.

Speaker 2 (29:18):
She's also got a gift last on Sunday.

Speaker 3 (29:21):
What are you, Santa Claus? Get everybody out of here
any streets. What do you make of that one? Now
where all of a sudden this game connect two three
weeks ago. Wouldn't mind anything, right because the cow Now
it's like this is interesting.

Speaker 5 (29:33):
Very interesting. I love the match up. I mean I
think that the Chiefs are getting that that moxie back.
You know, there's there's been some questions there, There's been
certainly the help of officiating. Uh, they can't dodge that
anymore that's out there. But you know what, I think
they've embraced it. Though. I think they're they're okay with
being a bad guy. I was told a long time
ago about the competitive nature of Patrick Mahomes and you

(29:57):
cannot discount that man that way. And I I won't
you get that game in the fourth quarter with that quarterback.
I mean, you can't side with anybody else.

Speaker 2 (30:07):
You got to go but Mike this year though, this year,
I hear you.

Speaker 1 (30:10):
And if you want to do a Lifetime Achievement Award
for Patrick Mahomes.

Speaker 2 (30:15):
I'm with you.

Speaker 1 (30:16):
This year though in one score games that was their
first game. They're now what one in five and one
score games this year? In his last three games with
all his receivers back, and that's what they were talking about,
he has one touchdown, three picks. He had some What
game was that with the bad ten point turnaround, the
bad red zone interception? Oh, Broncos, Broncos in a big game.

(30:38):
That was a huge game. That was a huge game
that they lost. My point is he hasn't been that
same quarterback last year. They were eleven to zero one
score games one and five this year and I think
they only have two wins. Two of their wins against
teams over five hundred. All the wins are against bad teams.

Speaker 5 (30:56):
I mean that's the league though. I mean, we're gonna
look at the teams like Buffalo. They're not the same team, right,
But you look at the Kansasity Tiefs. They lost to
Buffalo in Buffalo, and they lost to Denver in Denver.
Now this is the Dallas Cowboys team that I don't
think the Cowboys are the caliber of the Broncos, certainly defensively,
and I don't think offensively they're what Buffalo presents either though,

(31:18):
right So I look at the situations as individual matchups.
I mean Jacksonville early on when they beat Kansas City,
I mean that defense was the number one defense in
the league at that time. Kansas City's going to work
through some things, but they are older and certainly they
played a lot of football, and that fatigue is a
factory at times. But I'm just saying situational football. You

(31:40):
get that guy Patrick Mahomes in a situation where he's
got to make some plays to win it. I got
a side with that. I love Dallas and what they're
doing offensively. I love the moves that they made defensively
as well to kind of boaster things on that side
of the ball. But they haven't been consistent, and so
I look for the Chiefs to come out on top
of this one.

Speaker 3 (32:00):
All right, we appreciate man, That's what That's why we
watch the game.

Speaker 2 (32:03):
Appreciate it. Thank you, Happy Thanksgiving you and yours family.

Speaker 5 (32:06):

picking four more.

Speaker 2 (35:13):
Oh god, okay, okay, that's not fair. That is fair.

Speaker 1 (35:16):
I don't like that, which one of you guys going
on because he could go oh and four and then
you know, and I could go four and all, but.

Speaker 2 (35:22):
Then you have five wins. The comeback is coming. Let's go.

Speaker 4 (35:25):
Here we go game number one, but you have a
win that he doesn't deserve. Starting with the Lions. Of course,
there we go Packers at the Lions. Lions do half point.
I wonder who Kelvin's gonna pick. Figure it out, Go ahead,
dub my dog racking ours back. He ain't playing like wow,
but he's back back. We win and order him. It's

(35:45):
like one of those doing for the gift for moments.
Let's go.

Speaker 2 (35:50):
I'm taking the Packers and the points win the shocker.
I can't believe that Rob picked against Detroit. I'm not
picking against him right twelve times last year.

Speaker 1 (36:01):
Game number including the biggest game of the year fifteen
to two, Game.

Speaker 4 (36:07):
Number two, Kenny game three point road favorites in Dallas
taking on DAK and the Cowboys.

Speaker 2 (36:13):
Rob Parker I said, this is a tough one.

Speaker 1 (36:16):
I'm going with the Cowboys at home. I just I
don't like their I don't like where offensively, and I
think that Dallas could score a lot of pools.

Speaker 3 (36:25):
The only reason I'm going Chiefs is literal desperation to
make the playoffs, Like I have to win this game.

Speaker 2 (36:30):
That's the only reason they have. The Cowboys look good offense.

Speaker 4 (36:33):
Game and with three picks in pickoff Bengals at the
Ravens Joe Burrows returned Ravens seven point home favorites, though Kelvin.

Speaker 2 (36:41):
Raven I'm going Ravens. I don't like it though, but
I'm going Ravens.

Speaker 1 (36:44):
I got to take the Ravens because they didn't They
didn't score a lot of points last week, didn't play it,
they don't play better.

Speaker 2 (36:48):
Seven is a huge number of guys.

Speaker 4 (36:50):
Last one, Black Friday Bears at the Eagles, Rob's Fravne
player Caleb Williams seven.

Speaker 2 (36:55):
Point Road Dog and Philly Robbers seven.

Speaker 1 (36:58):
