Speaker 4 (01:16):
And you know, Kelvin just had a terrifying moment with
the iHeart app the other day.

Speaker 3 (01:21):
Okay, I'm concerned.

Speaker 4 (01:22):
Were horrifying because I you know, this says, you know,
make it your favorite, set it your preset out and
out of that all that, I've never changed the channel
on the iHeart app, right, so I never so it
just I just open the app and boom, whoever's on
Fox Sports radio is what I hear.

Speaker 5 (01:39):
Dude. I think my wife got.

Speaker 4 (01:41):
My phone or something, and all of a sudden it
was playing like this is sex in the City thing.
I thought it was a commercial. So I thought it
was a commercial because it's like, you know, I turned
it on. It's forty five after they in the middle
of break Nah, five minutes later, it's still sex in
the City. I'm driving.

Speaker 5 (01:57):
I looked out on my phone, I said, Charlotte from Texas.

Speaker 3 (02:00):
He said, what the hell is this? What happened to
this way? Hold on, hold on, wait wait wait wait
wait wait wait, Bree, you think Martin, thinky slick.

Speaker 1 (02:07):
You know names? You know names of the characters. I
think you want to be watching sex in the city
up here in these streets.

Speaker 4 (02:13):
You know, first of all, you know the name, because
you're a man below fifty and over thirty.

Speaker 5 (02:18):
You also know the names of the characters. I don't
know what you speak of, I know, right.

Speaker 1 (02:23):
The bigger question is did you or did you keep
rocking with it?

Speaker 3 (02:28):
Like you know what? It is? Kind of good? Let
me just see what happens here.

Speaker 4 (02:30):
Oh there's no chance. I was looking for Ben Maller.
I was like, no, no, no, I gotta hear. I gotta
hear the story from the losing locker room today. That's
what I had to get to Ben.

Speaker 1 (02:38):
Mally all right, I'm just making sure man still ten
three in this Thursday night football game here Dallas is
moving but lines up ten to three in this one.
Played some pretty good defense, considering the Cowboys out right
there inside the red zone.

Speaker 3 (02:52):
But this should be a good.

Speaker 1 (02:53):
W I have a feeling it's gonna go down the wire.
They have The Lions were favorite at three and a half.
But as you mentioned, a lot of momentum in the
Cowboys and a lot of people feeling the Cowboys trajectory
right now, I think I'm around say Brown. Maybe, like
I said earlier, might be a motivational push for the
Lions to push through and to keep that streak alive,
never loseing to in a row. I know you said
three and five, don't worry about that. It's never been

(03:14):
back to details, being smart with details.

Speaker 3 (03:18):
Let's get to this one.

Speaker 1 (03:19):
We talked about it yesterday, the reports that Giannis is
ready to have some real conversations about the future of
the team and also maybe moving on. Then you get
Doc Rivers who said, hey, I haven't heard about a trade.

Speaker 3 (03:32):
Giannis is here.

Speaker 1 (03:33):
Obviously we know that the strained calf muscle last night
could put them out two to four weeks, which is
terrible timing. Right the story drops, everybody's talking about it,
then boom that night you get injured for two to
four weeks. A lot of people were like, is he
really injured or are they shoving him, you know, to
make sure he's all right so they could trade him.
But my point then yesterday Martin was Essentially, we don't

(03:56):
have to as fans of games, teams, league, sports, every
time doesn't have to be you mentioned Kobe, the late
great Kobe Bryant. Everything doesn't always have to be. I
was there in my whole career. I played ten years,
twenty years, whatever it may be, with one team. Sure,
we'd all love that, but that's not realistic, especially in
a free agent era.

Speaker 3 (04:13):
Right.

Speaker 1 (04:13):
A lot of times people will say, you know, if
they want to use it against Lebron or Kevin Durant
or whoever, they'll say, man Magic was on one team
and Burtt was on one team. Well, yeah, well those
guys didn't have free agency as we know it today.
So you know, I think things change, people change.

Speaker 6 (04:27):
It.

Speaker 1 (04:27):
For Yannis to have been there as long as he
has it is already a credit to him in that organization.

Speaker 3 (04:31):
You know, it's been like twelve years or so, So.

Speaker 1 (04:34):
Him wanting to leave, to me, he had an opportunity
to leave if he wants to get traded. I know
he was talking about it last season with the Knicks
in the offseason. This can be one of those things
where it's a good breakup. We can still see each other.
If I see you in the streets.

Speaker 3 (04:49):
It's love.

Speaker 1 (04:49):
I can introduce you to my new girl. You can
introduce you to your new man family. Still, Hey, if
I see him, it's so low, it's love. Send him
a Christmas card. It didn't have to be ugly to me, Martin.
When he gets ugly is if he's doing the back
and forth talk. No, no, I don't want to leave.
I want to stay. No no, no, gets get me,
get me, get I want to I want to better
team by Wance, to better team New York.

Speaker 3 (05:09):
No, no, no, I love Milwaukee. I want to stay here.

Speaker 1 (05:12):
And I would never leave because now you're playing with
the fans of motion Martin.

Speaker 3 (05:15):
Now you're okay, he's gonna stay. No, he's leaving.

Speaker 1 (05:17):
No, he wants to ghost. I'm mad at him. Wait,
I'm not to me. That's when it gets ugly. And
you've been in relationships. Thank you the married man, now,
congrats to you and the missus.

Speaker 3 (05:26):
But you know it is where it's like. Now it's over,
it's over. Then you're right back to it.

Speaker 1 (05:30):
Then and it gets ugly, gets weird, and now her
friends don't like you, You don't like her her your friends
to me, if they're gonna part ways. Do so do
it now as soon as possible, whatever the best trade
may be for them, and that way it's as clean
as possible, because if they dragged us on through February
trade that it's gonna get ugly and then it gets
weird with the fan base that loves him, and ultimately

(05:50):
they'll be okay years from now. But it doesn't have
to be this way. He's earned it. They've earned it.
They given him the best they could. They got damned.
They got him a championship. He got them a championship.
It's okay to say for me, I'm ready to move on.

Speaker 4 (06:03):
So he's brought up the relationships part of it, right,
I think that when you're boiling it down to it, Yeah, sure,
we've all been in those snip snap, sniff off all
and off on relationships.

Speaker 5 (06:14):
But ultimately, when you're in that spot.

Speaker 4 (06:17):
It says more about you than it does about the
other person. To me, it's like, where's your level of
self esteem to say I deserve better than this, right,
and also your level of self esteem that better than
this is out there for me, there were a ton
of fans.

Speaker 5 (06:34):
I'm sure, I am positive.

Speaker 4 (06:37):
I know it to be a fact that the night
that Kawhi Leonard went to Los Angeles, there were a
ton of fans in Oklahoma City said, why'd you have
to bring us into it?

Speaker 5 (06:45):
Why would you have.

Speaker 4 (06:47):
Paul George was doing just fine over here, Why you
have to bring us into it? No, you know who
came back on that trade, shake Gildas Alexander. All right,
I'm sure that there was a ton of people who
are upset when Paul George got traded from the Napacers
initially and they said, you know what, okay, cool, we
could build around on this bonus guy. Then they trade
some bonus for what again? Where's how how many times

(07:09):
you're can trade the star? Then the next star is
the guy that brings you to these Convererence finals. In
Tyre's Halliburton, the Milwaukee Bucks should want to trade Jann.

Speaker 5 (07:18):
It's not the toa cumpo.

Speaker 4 (07:19):
Whether Wyannas wants to be traded or not is immaterial
to me. The Milwaukee Bucks should want to trade Jann.
It's not the takumpo.

Speaker 5 (07:27):
You have a Ferrari and you live in a trailer.
If you sell the car, you can get a house.
Do you know what I'm saying like that's that's the
whole situation. You sell the car, get the house.

Speaker 4 (07:37):
You have this incredibly valuable asset, and you have no way,
no pathway forward to winning anything of substance anytime soon.
Even with that incredible asset, Milwaukee should want to trade him.

Speaker 5 (07:52):
I understand your fans will be upset. That's all right.
The Packers are eight and three, all right, eight day
three and one, all right.

Speaker 4 (07:58):
I understand like this, this is not Luca and Nico Harrison.
This is not what that is because that was a
team that was just at the custom.

Speaker 5 (08:08):
Of a finals run, right, they had just touched it.

Speaker 4 (08:11):
We've seen Giannis bouncing the first round, whether it's his
fault or others.

Speaker 5 (08:15):
Several years since that championship.

Speaker 4 (08:18):
It's time to go ahead and tick tick boom, blow
it up, because you know what you could be right now.
The Portland Trail Blazers, they had an a one asset
for a very long time, waited forever, blew it up,
and now that team has been a laughing stock for
the last ten years.

Speaker 5 (08:32):
And then Thiago splitters that head coach.

Speaker 3 (08:36):
Yeah he is. You ain't lying about that.

Speaker 1 (08:38):
I think the worry they have is you talk about,
you know, to use your example, they could get a house,
but as a house going to be made out of straws,
meaning are we gonna be the laughing stock if we
get rid of him and we get what we thought
was the.

Speaker 3 (08:50):
Best deal we could get.

Speaker 1 (08:51):
I'm doing air quotations for radio and ends up being
trashed for you know, handful of five, six years, seven years.
They can't get out of it, you know, I mean
up to the Clippers. You look at the Clippers on paper,
it looked great right with Kawhi, and it's been good
and that You've had a bunch of good regular seasons.

Speaker 3 (09:08):
But ultimately it's gotten you nothing.

Speaker 1 (09:10):
And I think maybe there's some concern with that, but
I'm with you in that it's okay to part ways.
It's been a very long time with him. You've won
a championship, he's made a star of himself. You all
help make him a star. He's been one of the
faces of the league, two time MVP.

Speaker 3 (09:23):
It's time. It's okay to move on, and you're moving
on at a time Martin.

Speaker 1 (09:27):
Where the Eastern Conference is open, meaning and for a
couple of years, you know, you kind of fumble around
get a star, get some young guy whatever, and it
takes you two three years.

Speaker 3 (09:36):
You can bounce back.

Speaker 1 (09:37):
You can then compete because it's not like there's some
bohemoth that you're like, well, we ain't got nothing to do.
We're gonna be bad for five years. They're gonna own it.
Give yourself a couple of years. You could turn around
and be the Pistons. You know, you can turn around.
I know Orlando's underachieved a bit, but you can be
Remember Boston was supposed to be blown up ten years
ago or whatever it was.

Speaker 3 (09:54):
You know, they're supposed to be terrible team.

Speaker 1 (09:56):
Once they got rid of the whole regime of the
Paul Pierce Kevin Garnett, they turned that thing around quick
and never. They never sucked, they never were awful, and
they ended up being a really good team into the
tune of a bunch of Eastern Conference Finals appearances, a
couple of finals appearances in the.

Speaker 3 (10:10):
Title to show for that.

Speaker 5 (10:11):
So you move on.

Speaker 1 (10:12):
Now, you get some young a bunch of a bunch
of picks, You get the best talent you can get
with it, whomever that may be, and then you just say,
all right, this is where we are, and you start
over and he's happy wherever he is. You know, I
said this, Maybe you don't agree, Rob and I completely
didn't agree on this. I believe their I'm slightly disappointed
on the Bucks or let me say this way with

(10:34):
Giannis and the fact that as great of a talent
he is, if I would have told you, this guy
is a two time MVP of Finals, MVP, Defensive Player
of the Year, all these things.

Speaker 3 (10:45):
Oh, he's been in the Leastern Conference for all these years.
You would think he'd have.

Speaker 1 (10:49):
A few Eastern Conference appearance finals appearances. Right, He's that dominant.
He's that guy. Maybe he's not Lebron, but he can
be Lebron. The fact that he has a go ahead, the.

Speaker 4 (11:00):
Fact that Giannis's resume posts bubble is relatively non existent,
to me is.

Speaker 5 (11:07):
A huge mark on his career.

Speaker 4 (11:09):
Like I'm not we have gone too far in the
embraced debate era of the last twenty five years of
sports conversation. You do not have to win a championship
to be great, right, I am not saying that Giannis
is not great. Okay, Gianni's at any given moment in time,
it's a top five NBA player and he's not number five.
And that's including the fact he ca'se who from outside right.

Speaker 5 (11:31):
I'm baking that in.

Speaker 4 (11:34):
However, the postseason accolades are lack thereof of Gianni's Anthony
Kobo especially even if you just look at the last
five years, are some that guys like Kevin Durant get
crushed for like guys of other stature. Yeah, Demoda is
for You would have thought that Jason before the Celtics

(11:56):
win a championship, you would have thought that Jason Tatum
had lost more games in the last four years of
the playoffs and Gianni's had a you know what I'm saying.
You would have thought that y Rage Tatum would have
one playoff performer than Gianni's.

Speaker 5 (12:07):
I'm with you one hundred percent.

Speaker 4 (12:09):
But again, I still would trade Gianni's and if I
was another team, I would still trade and mortgage a
whole lot of my future for Giannis because very much
in the same way, like Luca Dantis has yet to
win a championship.

Speaker 5 (12:21):
I'm still gonna bet on that.

Speaker 1 (12:24):
Yeah, and he's in that category too. I said this yesterday, Luca,
I need he's gotta get one. He's got to have
a couple. You know finals appearances with the Lakers win
a ring.

Speaker 3 (12:34):
I need. I need more deep playoff runs from from
Yo Kis.

Speaker 1 (12:37):
You know what I mean, Like if he's gonna be
where we think he is and all these MVP Awards,
and I need him to be in the finals a
couple time. I need him to be in the West guts,
be in the mix. And I've said, as great as
Johanna say is in a conference that's not dumbinant. He's
not going up against Stephan kd right, He's not going
up against the Heatles where it's like I have no
shot you.

Speaker 3 (12:53):
Should Why wouldn't this season?

Speaker 1 (12:55):
Now obviously he's injured today, but why didn't we go
in this season? Martin say, all the Bucks gotta be
the clear favorite. They got the best player in the
conference by far in Giannis, and there's no bohemits Boston
is all types of injury.

Speaker 3 (13:07):
The Knicks ain't all that. The Pistons, we still want
to see it.

Speaker 1 (13:09):
We would have the We would absolutely think Kobe Bryant
better win if this was his team of the Bucks
in the Eastern.

Speaker 3 (13:16):
Conference in his private thirty years thirty or one years old.

Speaker 5 (13:18):
You know what I mean, Like let's just here's the thing.
We got a whole bunch of.

Speaker 4 (13:21):
Situations where we got two sides and neither one of
them wants to be the bad guy. Nope, the Milwaukee
doesn't want to piss off the fans. Giannis doesn't want
to piss off the fans. Let me tell you something.
I'm here to tell you, dude, make the move. Because
when Giannis is retired, very much like Chris Paul was
trying to get that retirement tour this year, still being active, No, no, no,
when Giannis is done, all hung up, even if he

(13:43):
goes to I don't know, the same way like Kareem
went from Milwaukee to Los Angeles.

Speaker 5 (13:47):
And won a whole bunch of rings.

Speaker 4 (13:49):
Even if Jannis does that, go somewhere else and win's
a whole bunch of rings.

Speaker 5 (13:52):
Guess what, you're still dumber.

Speaker 4 (13:54):
Retired in Milwaukee, You'll still be the probably everybody under
seventy five favorite Buck player of all time. Okay, they'll
have a statue, You'll have all of it.

Speaker 5 (14:03):
They will.

Speaker 4 (14:04):
The dear district was built because of you. It's not
going anywhere, but you know what can happen also because
of you. The next generation of this team can happen
because of you, and like, okay, see they have two generations.
And you know what I think, when Russell Westburk comes back,
people clap for him.

Speaker 3 (14:23):
They still yeah, they're gonna absolutely love him. Still be
a door. And like I said, rip the band aid off, Rick,
go ahead, rip it. It's gonna hurt.

Speaker 1 (14:30):
It's not gonna feel good, you know either way, because
they're so entrenched with each other, You're so intertwined.

Speaker 3 (14:36):
It's all he's known is them.

Speaker 1 (14:37):
All they've known is having him as their superstar the
last you know, ten years plus, and so it's going
to hurt. Rip the band aid off, move on part
ways as clean as possible.

Speaker 5 (14:46):
Either side, either side anything.

Speaker 4 (14:49):
They picked them up fifteenth out of nowhere, gave him
a shot. He rewarded them with the championship. Everybody should
be good here a one thousand percent. We're on the
same page with that, all right? Eight seven, seven ninety
nine On Fox? Where are you with Giannis? You say, hey,
stick around?

Speaker 1 (15:03):
Are you disappointed he wants to possibly leave because you
want to see him stay and kind of do the
old magic and bird and think Kobe stay with one
team or do you think it's Part Time to Part
Way's eight seven seven ninety nine on Fox.

Speaker 5 (15:14):
We'll hear from you.

Speaker 1 (15:15):

Check us out on YouTube and subscribe our couple.

Speaker 1 (16:04):
Kelvin Washington, Martin Weise and for Rob. Rob is there
having the top of his life in Detroit as the
Lions just scored.

Speaker 5 (16:11):
Again and Mary Mack over here making light skinned jokes.

Speaker 1 (16:14):
Come on, miss Mary Man, we fought too hard as
the people. We got to the Simpsons.

Speaker 5 (16:18):
I listen to this show. You don't playing the Simpsons
with Rob was Robin Kelvin?

Speaker 1 (16:24):
Way, so are you trying to say she said you
look like a Simpson. Listen, I'm not gonna lie.

Speaker 4 (16:29):
All I'm saying is all I'm all I'm saying is
wasn't no playing in the Simpsons before the show was
on YouTube?

Speaker 5 (16:37):
He's just Max tell them he looked really pale last week.

Speaker 4 (16:39):
All I'm just saying, what those Simpsons playing before the
show was on utube is because the only thing we
could play was anything from nineteen eighty and below with
Rob Martin.

Speaker 3 (16:47):
You know that. That's the reason why the Simpsons.

Speaker 1 (16:49):
But by the way, are the Simpsons still on?

Speaker 5 (16:53):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (16:54):
Mike like all jokes is like who, Like I don't
see commercials anymore?

Speaker 3 (16:57):
Like are they are people watching it now?

Speaker 6 (17:00):
Oh?

Speaker 5 (17:01):
So it's like kind of like partnered with who. I'm like,
I'm pretty sureth comes on Fox and it's on Fox.

Speaker 1 (17:06):
Yah, my gosh, this's been like thirty five, six, seven,
forty years or something crazy. My goodness man, it's the
odd couple gain Kevin and Martin on a TV theme
song Thursday. Check out the YouTube Martin just mentioned it.
We are simulcasting YouTube.

Speaker 3 (17:21):
Check it out. As always, we appreciate it.

Speaker 1 (17:23):
If you go there, just search odd couple FSR, hit subscribe,
like share, thumbs up, the whole nine and we'll read
some comments. By the way, Martin, I gotta give you something, man,
it's crazy early, but you might be a prophet when
you said in four quarters, Dak Prescott MVP might be gone.
I mean the way the Lions defense is getting after

(17:45):
him right now and they're down, so're gonna have to
start forcing it. You know what happens when you start
forcing it. Things happen, turnovers like this could be not
necessarily a horrible game for him, but let's say those
for two point fifty, but he ends up with an interception,
sacked four times and a you know where it's just
like eh, and the Lions just look good. That's how
we we move on because Member Patrick Mahomes was it right,

(18:07):
and we kind of moved on, and ah, it's Drake
mcn it's Matthew Stafford, So you're right. We can mess
around and have where Dak press got the campaign. If
it's like a presidential campaign is over now, like it
could happen yeah.

Speaker 3 (18:17):
All right, let's take some phone calls here. We're talking
about Milwaukee, the Bucks.

Speaker 5 (18:22):
What do they do?

Speaker 1 (18:22):
Martin and I are an agreement in this that it's
just time to part ways, trade them and move on.
And and it's all good. Doesn't have to be anybody
was bad or wrong for this. It's just it's okay.
It's time to move on. It's a business. They both
have succeeded, they both won together. It's time to move on.
Eight seven, seven ninety nine. On Fox, we asked if
you want to jump in, we got some causes. Go
to Kurt in North Dakota. Kurt in North Dakota. You're

(18:44):
on with the Odt couple of Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 5 (18:45):
What's up?

Speaker 7 (18:46):
Kurt Overn and Martin? Thank you very much. This is
the best show on radio. I think that Yana shir Dave,
I'm a Twins stand and I think back to you know,
they won in eighty seven and ninety one. That second
title really made them a special team, meant to him
in the hearts of Twins fans, and you know, if
he can win one more title here and you know,
and cement that they basically basically create a breach between

(19:08):
the two titles. You know, looking back, I think she'll
really appreciate that. And you know, and the fans in
Milwaukee you will love him. And yeah, and and and
I think about Doctor G. I was, you know, I
was disappointed that Doctor J didn't get two titles in Philadelphia.
But that's kind of a side But anyways, I'll shut
up and let you.

Speaker 8 (19:24):
Guys talk to somebody else.

Speaker 7 (19:25):
I love you, guys, and keep up the great work.

Speaker 3 (19:28):
God bless you, Kurt, God bless you too, my brother.
We appreciate you.

Speaker 4 (19:31):
Uh.

Speaker 3 (19:32):
I just think the challenge Martin. I think Kurt is
right like that, you'd love it.

Speaker 1 (19:36):
But the issue I have is Giannis unfortunately hasn't shown
me that if he's simply the guy like you are
by far the guy, and the team's good around you,
or the team's really good around you, or it's made
around you.

Speaker 3 (19:50):
That he can get us there.

Speaker 1 (19:51):
And that's what I mentioned in the lad before the break,
that I'm blown away that if I told you a
thirty year old and his prime a specimen thirty plus game,
twelve thirteen rebounds, again, all these stats, sixty plus percent
build goal percentage, former defensive player, he can't get to
the Eastern Conference regularly, not even the finals regularly. That

(20:11):
is disturbing to me. When there's no real out in
his way, there's no real opposition in his way. He's
not looking at Oa Boston and you're like, well, what
is he supposed to do with that? You know, he's
not looking at the four Pissons where he's like, oh,
Lebron and the Heatles or something like that. Lebron ain't
even there, because you remember the Lebron Too Raptors where
man if Lebron wasn't there, we could get it to

(20:31):
the finals, like that was a real thing. He doesn't
have that in his way. So to be out in
the first round regularly. I gave you Dame Lillard, I
gave you Chris Middleton and Brook Lopez and Bobby Bordes,
all these things and a good defense to Drew Holiday,
and all I got is one an Eastern Conference final
appearance which ultimately led to the title.

Speaker 3 (20:47):
That that's a bit disappointing and underwhelming to me.

Speaker 5 (20:50):
No, I'm right with you.

Speaker 4 (20:51):
I agree with you one hundred percent. And actually, if
you want to take one more call, I think we
can take a call. Let's say Tim and Atlanta because
this is a I'd like to see this deal happen.

Speaker 5 (21:01):
Give men for Trayo.

Speaker 3 (21:03):
All right, Chili, what's up to man? You're on with
the odd couple? What's up?

Speaker 8 (21:07):
Brother child?

Speaker 9 (21:09):
Un with up Martin?

Speaker 8 (21:11):
I like to ask, you know, why is Milwaukee acting
like you know they used to eat and to lay
me on or something? I mean, as the Utah Jazz
or the Brooklyn Mins or the Portland Trail Blazers, who
would love to have one championship? You know, get your
behind off the shoulders. Man, you got one. You probably
you know you got lucky with that one because you

(21:31):
were down to the designs. I don't know. I don't
know you lost it down to you old, but you
got one. Be happy. You ain't like you want the
blue bloods out here. You know, if you expect to
win a championship, if ye.

Speaker 3 (21:43):
General manager, Chili timp what's this trade you want to see?

Speaker 8 (21:47):
H I would trade him. I mean I'd trade him
somewhere with a team that because you need to get
plenty of assets to build, because it's hard to get
players to come to Milwaukee to start with. So this
may be the only way you ever really get a
chance to really get a good group of players. So, uh,
I'm trying to think young talent. I've looked for somebody
like uh, there's uh maybe like I looked to the

(22:10):
maverage maybe because.

Speaker 1 (22:13):
They got since I'm a real quick chili, we're running
up on time, real quick. Martin's point, you're down there
at Atlanta. What's up with Tray Young? Five years ago?
Whatever it was, he was a hero, He's bound in
New York three four years ago. Everybody loved him, it's great,
and then all of a sudden it's changed. So what
do you what's up with with Trey Young?

Speaker 7 (22:30):
Uh?

Speaker 3 (22:30):
Would you? Is that a guy that Atlanta wants to
move on fromhim? Just to field down there in Atlanta?
Since you're there, Yeah, they.

Speaker 8 (22:35):
Just feel like he's not the guy like you know,
small guys like him. I mean, it's kind of hard,
uh to you know, trying to carry your team, and
I just think they feel like after a couple of years,
they look at him, it's like he just didn't have
his shoulders on broad enough to take him and where
they need to go. And being earned a lot too,
you know, he's injured a lot, and I just think

(22:56):
they just figure like he may be a second piece,
but he never he's not a main He's not a
guy that can lead it. He can be an added
piece to it, but he can't lead it. I think
people here to realize that now he's just he's just
not gonna cut.

Speaker 3 (23:10):
It, no doubt.

Speaker 1 (23:12):
All Right, man, Chiley, Tim Man, Appreciate it, brother, have
a great rest of the week. All right, Appreciate all
the calls. Maybe we'll try to squeeze a couple in
on the other side of trending. Let's go to Monzi Belanos. Now,
Monci got a good game going on. If you're Alliance fan,
I'm not even watching that right now.

Speaker 5 (23:28):
Out of the update room of storm. Back in the Warriors.

Speaker 10 (23:32):
Right now, we're down twenty four points. They took the
lead against the seventy six ers. They lost Straymond Green
to a foot injury. No Steph Curry, no Jimmy Butler
came back, and the last ten seconds have taken seven minutes.

Speaker 5 (23:44):
I'm not even kind of kidding you, guys.

Speaker 10 (23:46):
Like the NBA sounds like the NBA and the seventy
six ers just won it, Like, oh my goodness, they
survived ninety nine to ninety eight was the final score.

Speaker 5 (23:56):
But like Tyrese Maxley was on a tear.

Speaker 10 (23:58):
I'm telling you, they were up twenty four points.

Speaker 2 (24:00):
It was over.

Speaker 10 (24:01):
And then the Warriors just didn't give up. Outscored Philadelphia
in the fourth quarter thirty two to nineteen. But yeah,
Tyrese Maxi thirty five points. I'm gonna sit down.

Speaker 5 (24:08):
I've been standing this whole time as I've been talking
about this game. I cannot believe it.

Speaker 10 (24:12):
I'll get to the NFL in just a second. The
Lakers are up on the Rockets right now, one oh
three to one hundred. It's still early in the fourth quarter,
but Austin Reeves on his own tear thirty six points
and nine rebounds. No Luka Doncic in this one. The
Jazz are losing to the Nets ninety to eighty five,
also early in the fourth, and the Timberwolves and the
Pelicans are tied at seventy halfway through the third quarter,

(24:33):
while the Celtics already blew out the Wizards one forty
six to one poh one. Janni Santetokumpo, by the way,
he's gonna miss two to four weeks for the Bucks
because of that. Calf strain that he suffered. When it
comes to the NFL, Yeah, it's been all lying so
far in this one against the Cowboys. In fact, David
Montgomery just had a thirty five yard rushing touchdown. Jamior
Gibbs with the rushing touchdown, So it's seventeen to six

(24:56):
down to the final two minutes of the first half.
Dak Prescott is third, teen of seventeen, one hundred and
twenty eight yards. Jared Goff is ten of sixteen, one
hundred and twenty two yards. You're not gonna see Jalen
Carter on Monday for the Eagles as they as they
take on the Chargers. He underwent a procedure this past
Monday on both his shoulders. As for Justin Herbert, he
was a limited participant in practice today for LA the

(25:18):
Commander's upgraded quarterback Jayden and Daniels to a full participant.
So he's trending in the right direction to start Sunday
at Minnesota. And when it comes to Doug Gottlieb's Green
Bay Phoenix, oh man, what happened? They were up and
lost in the final four seconds. They lost eighty to
seventy eight.

Speaker 5 (25:36):
I thought that's why you were pulling your hair out.

Speaker 10 (25:38):
I was not pulling my hair out for that one.
I was pulling my hair out for the word.

Speaker 1 (25:41):
All right, you might have just that news might have
saved Rob Parker's night. It looks like the Lions could
be on a roll. Obviously still a lot of football
left between. But if they were to have pulled this
off the Lions and then Dug's team pulled up, we
don't know what would have happened to Rob.

Speaker 3 (25:52):
So you just saved Rob's night.

Speaker 5 (25:53):
With that news, Bonzi, Well, I'm happy I could do
that for Rob.

Speaker 3 (25:57):
How you like Lazzi?

Speaker 5 (25:58):
How do you like Jalen prid night? My fuck?

Speaker 3 (26:01):
Go ahead, go ahead, thank you so much.

Speaker 4 (26:04):
But here's the real is gonna be here for the
next four hours. So every time you all like, have
a great night, it's like, I get it. I know
that sounds y'all play at the end of the show,
but some of us do work on the Jason Smith Show,
like all.

Speaker 3 (26:16):
Hey, Mark, we out okay me and we out of here.
We take we get I get it.

Speaker 5 (26:21):
That's y'all saying by to her, and I heard say,
y'all be.

Speaker 2 (26:24):
Sure to catch live editions of The Odd Couple with
Rob Parker and Kelvin Washington weekdays at seven pm Eastern,
four pm Pacific on Fox Sports Radio and the iHeartRadio app.

Speaker 5 (26:35):
But how about Dalen Carter both shoulders at the same time,
might as well. I'm just saying, like, you know, like
bull shoulder at the same time, Like what what happens
in a football game?

Speaker 3 (26:47):
My goodness, listen, obviously brutal and people get beat up.
And you let me write to this one.

Speaker 1 (26:52):
Even if it ain't if the shoulders, it might be
lower in the ankles we're talking about. Uh, you got
star quarterback Lamar Jackson questionable for Sunday's against the Pittsburgh Steelers,
a huge game, Martin, as you know for them, both
teams trying to win that division, stay in the playoff hunt.
He's a limited participant yesterday, then practice today. Fourth consecutive

(27:12):
week he's missed the practice. He's just obviously not been
himself been injured.

Speaker 3 (27:17):
What do you think of?

Speaker 1 (27:19):
I mean, this has been an up and down season,
not only just for him, but even the Ravens. As
far as your hope if you're a Ravens fan, right,
you go, all right, But getting in the season, Lauar,
this is what we do.

Speaker 3 (27:30):
This is our season.

Speaker 1 (27:31):
Then they played. The defense is playing bad despite Lamar,
the offense playing well. Then he's out, defense all of
a sudden starts to play better. He comes back, they
played better. It's like, you don't know what you're gonna get.
And now here we are there trying to make this
push and get to the win a division. But he
hasn't been playing great, and he has to play great
in order for them to have a chance, and you

(27:53):
just don't think it's even possible without it.

Speaker 5 (27:55):
Now open the window, go get the fire restinguisher.

Speaker 4 (27:59):
Then open this sh and burn and put that burn out,
because this thing is on fire.

Speaker 5 (28:04):
It is deep fried. It is done. The Ravens are over.

Speaker 4 (28:08):
And I understand that nobody wants to go on TV
and say that the Ravens, Bills, and Chiefs are all
at the very very precipitous places in their season.

Speaker 5 (28:18):
I get it. We're in a place that the NFL
it's really upside down. Daniel Jones is one.

Speaker 4 (28:24):
Of the best quarterbacks in the NFL. The Newinglan the
Patriots are top to AFC.

Speaker 5 (28:28):
I get it. It's weird things happening in the league
right now.

Speaker 4 (28:32):
But simply because the Ravens Bills and Chiefs have not
looked like the Ravens Builds and Chiefs or the past
does not mean they're turning it on. And I do
not see it happening for this Ravens team whatsoever. I
get it they are in the best position of the
two of those of the other the three to make
the postseason.

Speaker 5 (28:49):
But that is more an indictment.

Speaker 4 (28:52):
On the Pittsburgh Steelers than it is a clap on
the face for a salute to the Baltimore Ravens. Lamar
Jackson hurt, I'm sorry, he's hurt. He's hurt, and it's
not going to get any better. I'm not saying shut
him down. I'm not saying whether you should play or
you shouldn't play. But this is a team that at
a forty to twenty four lead in Week one against

(29:13):
Buffalo and gave it up. They have been blowing things healthy.
Now that they're hurt, it's just not happening. And the
sooner that we understand this Ravens team is not scary
at all, will all be better off for it.

Speaker 5 (29:26):
They might make the playoffs, They're not scary.

Speaker 3 (29:28):
They're not scary. And I mean the crazy thing is
is him. I mean, I'm looking at it.

Speaker 1 (29:34):
In the last four games, his numbers you're talking about,
if you want to work backwards, fifty three percent completion percentage.
He had two hundred and forty six yards but zero
touchdowns and an interception. Game before that only one hundred
and fifty three yards, no touchdowns. Game before that only
one hundred ninety three but two interceptions. The game before
that one hundred and seventy six with one touchdown. Like,
he hasn't looked like himself where he's putting up, you know,

(29:55):
two hundred and two fifty three touchdowns, one on the ground.
Like where you're like, that's the are he hasn't looked
like himself. I believe he's more injured than he's letting on.
He's just as one, you know, a football guy. And
I want to cut it through and again, I think
looking at the division saying hmm, there's still a chance.
I think he's much more hurt than he's letting on.
And I just don't think they're they're where they're supposed

(30:16):
to be.

Speaker 8 (30:16):
Uh.

Speaker 1 (30:17):
And it's disappointing because to your point, I mean, Pittsburgh
ain't that great.

Speaker 3 (30:22):
They shouldn't be, you know, leading this division.

Speaker 1 (30:23):
I told Rob, Pittsburgh is gonna look exactly like they
did with Russell Wilson.

Speaker 3 (30:27):
And to me, that's exactly what they look like.

Speaker 1 (30:28):
They want a handful of games, they lost a bunch
like and you maybe even look worse than they did.

Speaker 4 (30:32):
I think they look a little worse with Russ And
that is that is solely an this on this group, right,
because rust to them did not look good, right, And.

Speaker 1 (30:42):
So I told Rob, that's what the steel is gonna
be when they brought in Aaron Rodgers and you got
rid of George Pickings and the defense isn't as good
as you think it is. This ain't the you know,
ten years ago Steelers defense, maybe even five years ago defense.
And so I was saying that, So if you're the Ravens,
they're really gonna have to, in my opinion, start having
conversation and you use the word shut it down or
afrase shut it down. I have to start having those

(31:04):
conversations because Lamar, I know you're gonna want to compete.
I know you're gonna want to play, but it's an
ankle and it was a hamstring, and it's all ham strings.

Speaker 3 (31:13):
As you know, you've been covering sports all these years.

Speaker 1 (31:15):
Ham Strings are weird, right, You feel all right, but
there's no real you'd almost rather have something broken. Doctors
always say, then pull ligaments or stretch ligaments, because at
least we know put in the cast.

Speaker 3 (31:26):
Six weeks boom, it's here. You're ready to go.

Speaker 1 (31:29):
With ligaments and ham strings, and you know those things
get weird. You know, not how to really heal them.
He'll only healing is time, Well how much time?

Speaker 3 (31:36):
I don't really know. It depends on the person.

Speaker 1 (31:38):
So with hamstrings now ankle injuries, you just don't want
Lamar to become beat down and wear himself down, you
know what I mean. So I understand their indivision. Maybe
you go another week or two to see where we're at.
But he means too much and he's been playing bad.
And the main part, Martin last point for me, he
doesn't look good running. If there's anything else you could say,
well that's Lamar. It was running and getting away from things.

(32:01):
He doesn't look Guys are catching him that normally don't.
He's not escaping as much.

Speaker 4 (32:05):
He's also turning down runs that I felt like in
the past he would have taken, and not even just
he would have taken, Like he's turning down runs I
would expect like Dak Prescott to take.

Speaker 5 (32:17):
And I say that just because he's on TV.

Speaker 4 (32:19):
But he's not particularly mobile, but he is athletic, Like
Dak will go get a first down, But you're not
calling for Deck to go run for a first down, right,
Those are the first downs that I honestly thought I
wanted to see Lamar getting more and more as his
career aged less design runs more. Let's you know, buy
some time and make it happen those types of plays

(32:40):
because the damage comes a lot of times on the
design runs. On the actual runs are the bruns where
you got them line it up and playing a pseudo
running back. But ultimately, whether he's shut down or not,
whether he plays or not, that's the bigger thing for me.

Speaker 5 (32:55):
He's not gonna get any healthier.

Speaker 4 (32:57):
I personally don't like the idea of just shutting guys
down because your season is over, but I understand the logic,
million dollar investments, so on and so so.

Speaker 3 (33:06):
Specifically those play the quarterback, that's that's the position.

Speaker 4 (33:09):
I just don't like I just don't like the idea
what it does for the locker rocket culture ideas. It's
just if you know, because it's all could you know,
It's kind of like if somebody got the script up
for the wrestling, it all could fall.

Speaker 5 (33:20):
Apart very quick.

Speaker 4 (33:21):
I want guys to play. I think guys should play.
They can pay millions dollars to play. You should go play.
But the idea that this Ravens team is a threat
in the AFC is one that is just completely and
totally happening between your ears and not in front of
your eyes.

Speaker 3 (33:37):
Yeah, hey, that's gonna be This is a huge game.

Speaker 1 (33:40):
There's been a handful of games this we obviously start
right now as we're sitting here watching Thursday night football.

Speaker 3 (33:45):
We playoff implications.

Speaker 1 (33:46):
You got a couple other divisional ones as well, including
we're talking about with the Steelers and of course the Ravens.

Speaker 3 (33:52):
So that'd be a good one, all right.

Speaker 1 (33:54):
Last Call eight seven seven ninety nine on Fox eight
seven seven ninety nine on Fox, Last Call, we want
to hear from you.

Speaker 3 (34:00):
This is your opportunity to jump in on the odd couple.

Speaker 2 (34:04):
Be sure to catch live editions of The Odd Couple
with Rob Parker and Kelvin Washington weekdays at seven pm
Eastern four pm Pacific on Fox Sports Radio and the
iHeartRadio app.

Speaker 1 (34:16):
Shout Out, Touch Up. It is Fox Sports Radio. A couple,
kelvin Washington, Martin Wise, who's in for Rob? Out there
in Detroit watching the Lions up on the Cowboys. Think
it's twenty to nine. Go in a halftime right now?
And of course, for over forty years, tire Reck's been
helping customers find the right tires for how, for what
and for where they drive shit fast and free back

(34:36):
by free Road has a protection with convenient installation options
like mobile tire installation tire rack dot Com.

Speaker 3 (34:42):
It is the way tire buying should be. Let's get
to it.

Speaker 1 (34:45):
It's time now for last call. Good, it's time for
last call. Well, let's go to Andre in Massachusetts. Andre,
you are on with the akabo and you are the

(35:07):
last call.

Speaker 8 (35:09):
How you doing?

Speaker 9 (35:10):
Thanks for taking my call?

Speaker 6 (35:11):
Listen.

Speaker 9 (35:11):
In terms of Janni's ante Kumpo, he has to learn
from Kevin Gartnet Okay that being loyal to.

Speaker 8 (35:17):
The soil can hurt you in the long run.

Speaker 9 (35:19):
It's past time that he's a look for his next option,
Adam Milwaukee.

Speaker 5 (35:23):
I was donned.

Speaker 9 (35:24):
This didn't happen during the spring where there was indicators
there was rumblings about him going to Miami elsewhere. He said, no, no,
I want to stay in Milwaukee. I want to I
want to be here for my tourist along. Okay, you're
not winn another championship because the chip had sailed and
it left the port when you traded Drew Holliday, a
winner who helped you get that championship against the Suns
when you were down two oh question Mark and Dame

(35:45):
Lillard who wasn't committed to what you were doing. So
in terms of Yannis Kevin gardnet study, he should have
been in Boston two three, four years earlier, but he
was stugging it out in Minnesota and it hurt his
overall championship window and then it hurt his legacy. Gannis,
I'm looking forward to your destination and compete for championship.

Speaker 8 (36:02):
Thank's taking a call, no.

Speaker 1 (36:04):
Doubt, Hey appreciate it. Man, Thank you, Andre, And he's right.
I mean, you get out now. You give yourself some
time still got you know, five out. Imagine years of
being really good if not great for another four or
five years, and then you see what the rest of
your career has.

Speaker 3 (36:15):
All right, we're gonna do it early. Let's do it now.
Let's do shop talk all right, Brie, you want to
set it up?

Speaker 5 (36:21):
Yes, let's go. All right, you guys.

Speaker 6 (36:24):
So we were just earlier, Kelvin and I were talking
about there he's going to Disneyland with his family. As
we're just talking about theme parks in general. Are they overrated, underrated,
or just just normal, just whatever, kind of like a
fun thing everybody does.

Speaker 1 (36:38):
Now, well, i'll tell you what so yeah, literally, Martin,
when we walk out, as soon as we say Fox
Sports Radio boom, I'm on the car, We're out the family,
and I'm gonna head out for a little late night session.
I'll say this specifically to Disneyland, Bri. As someone who's
not from southern California. I've been blown away. Mar You've
been here now for quite some time. Sure, ask how

(36:59):
many people. Well, it's fun, you go, it's cool, it's cute.

Speaker 3 (37:02):
Check it out.

Speaker 1 (37:03):
You got to try to check it off the list
of things you've done in Southern California. But I'm blown
away at the southern California natives who go there regularly.

Speaker 3 (37:10):
Martin.

Speaker 1 (37:11):
Now, maybe you work have worked with people. They go
once a month, they have passed, and they're adults. And
I'm not talking about adults who have kids and we go.
I'm talking adult. Hey, what are you doing this week?
I'll probably shoot down to Disneyland California Adventure. He Now,
I'm been blown away by that because I didn't fit.
It's cool, but not like that.

Speaker 4 (37:29):
It is mind boggling to me. And I know listens
every Saturday from May to eleven Eastern. I shared this
studio with somebody who is a slight Disney Adults. I'm
trying not to get jumped. In a few days, however,
I'll just say this.

Speaker 5 (37:43):
I quit. I'm married.

Speaker 4 (37:44):
Now, this wasn't the one, but I stopped dating a
girl because she spent thirteen days straight at Disney World
on like vacation, like it was like Christmas vacation. The
only thing I can think of is like she was
in her twenties at the twenty seventh. The only thing
I could think of is Dad's paying for this. Now,
if we stick together, then I'll be paying for this

(38:05):
and I'll be spending two weeks at Disney World every.

Speaker 5 (38:08):
Single year, which sounds like prison wall.

Speaker 3 (38:10):
Are you serious though? Thirteen days straight?

Speaker 5 (38:12):
Thirteen days straight?

Speaker 3 (38:13):
That's psycho, that's insane.

Speaker 5 (38:15):
The concept of a Disney adult is psycho.

Speaker 1 (38:17):
I'm sorry holding her tongue right now, you Nazi, I'm
got y'all love Disney on another level? Like what are
we missing? Honest, I'll tell you what I get from
people Manti Hotel. I'll hear your answer first, what what
are we missing?

Speaker 3 (38:31):
It's cool, it's fine.

Speaker 1 (38:32):
Hey, go every two, three, four or five years, every
year three times, you know, every every once, every month
or two?

Speaker 3 (38:38):
Like what am I missing?

Speaker 10 (38:39):
I don't have an answer for you. Nothing. You're not
missing anything for you.

Speaker 3 (38:43):
Yeah, No, I'm asking you. What is Nazi enjoying?

Speaker 10 (38:47):
I go because I want to eat food, and I
want to people watch and I want to drink, and
then maybe I'll hop on a ride and it gives
me something to do in southern California where everything is
so incredibly expensive, not that Disney disney Land.

Speaker 3 (39:00):

Are You A Charlotte?

In 1997, actress Kristin Davis’ life was forever changed when she took on the role of Charlotte York in Sex and the City. As we watched Carrie, Samantha, Miranda and Charlotte navigate relationships in NYC, the show helped push once unacceptable conversation topics out of the shadows and altered the narrative around women and sex. We all saw ourselves in them as they searched for fulfillment in life, sex and friendships. Now, Kristin Davis wants to connect with you, the fans, and share untold stories and all the behind the scenes. Together, with Kristin and special guests, what will begin with Sex and the City will evolve into talks about themes that are still so relevant today. "Are you a Charlotte?" is much more than just rewatching this beloved show, it brings the past and the present together as we talk with heart, humor and of course some optimism.
