Speaker 2 (01:22):
Brooklyn Brooklyn ad a D. It was a D. Yeah,
I saw me. Was he called the game again?
Speaker 4 (01:29):
Yes?
Speaker 1 (01:30):
I was there, Yeah, and uh I had some great
seats close and I saw him. I was like, let
me call him, and I was like, turn around to
your right and take a look in the stands and
he look, He's like, are you kidding?
Speaker 5 (01:42):
So it's great to see him, big big fan man
love when he's on the show.
Speaker 1 (01:45):
Yes, so he was as He's like, yeah, rob G
just called me about, uh, you know, getting back on
the show.
Speaker 2 (01:50):
So I said, yep, can't wait to have you back
on every week as we do.
Speaker 1 (01:54):
And of course we'll have a last call and we'll
finish up there.
Speaker 2 (01:58):
You know.
Speaker 1 (01:58):
Jeff Kent made the Hall of Fame with this Contemporary Committee,
which I'm against because you can't be on a ball
of ten or fifteen years not make it. And then
they have this other other people vote just like a
back a back door. If I was like a back door,
and here's the other thing here, no Bonds, no Clemmens.
They were pushing for Don Maddenley and Dale Murphy votes right,
(02:22):
and those guys didn't get it. And and and I'm
fine with that. Just that I don't think Jeff Kent
And it's all started when they put Harold Bains in
from the White Sox, who was a DH and ever
since then, everybody thinks they should be in because they
look at Harold Bains and goes, if he's exactly I
should get in?
Speaker 5 (02:37):
So, uh, what you think of when they you know,
they always ask him about Bonds and his response universal response,
He kind of gives heck of a player is one
of the best. You know, we had our issues on
and off. We were good sometimes, we were rough sometimes,
but I'm not really gonna talk about whether he should
be out. You know, I've said what I've said, like
he doesn't.
Speaker 2 (02:54):
But here's the thing. Co Sign.
Speaker 1 (02:56):
He doesn't say he benefited from from hitting right come on, man,
like they he got pictures because the Barry Bonds was
coming up.
Speaker 2 (03:05):
Are you are you kidding?
Speaker 1 (03:07):
He thinks his success had nothing to do with we're
batting in front of Barry Bonds.
Speaker 5 (03:12):
Just that whole team. Yeah, man, absolutely, but that's why
I brought it up.
Speaker 2 (03:18):
Incredible all right, Uh, Rob g.
Speaker 1 (03:23):
We talked about the Monday night football game, sloppy seven
you know, turnovers. Sarah Lee loved the game, but the
rest of US football fans, we weren't feeling it.
Speaker 6 (03:34):
Yes, speaking of not going to the Hall of Fame,
this game tape is not going to.
Speaker 2 (03:37):
The Hall of Fame, no doubt. That's a nice set.
I lie. Oh, I'm gonna tell you. I'm gonna tell you.
I'm gonna be wrong. Go ahead and say it.
Speaker 6 (03:45):
Jalen Hurts cleats might go into this game because he
became the first player in NFL history to commit two
turnovers on the same play.
Speaker 1 (03:56):
Not true, somebody did it in nineteen seventy eight. It's
the first player since No, this says no, it's the
first sense to play by play that happened in seventy years, right,
Since that's a far back that you think that is
that never happened before. I'm certain this is what I
said of the Sports Bureau.
Speaker 5 (04:17):
I'm just they're saying since they started tracking that nineteen
seventy eight, no one has done it.
Speaker 2 (04:22):
But I'm asking you you don't think I played.
Speaker 1 (04:26):
Walking.
Speaker 2 (04:27):
He knows that.
Speaker 6 (04:28):
I'm choosing to believe Elias Sports Bureau over the MLB broke.
Speaker 2 (04:31):
That's just me.
Speaker 1 (04:32):
But I'm saying nineteen seventy eight really they play since okay,
since the play by play year. Okay, well my point is, okay, Well,
my point is nineteen seventy eight ain't far enough back
for me to believe that he's the first player whoever
fumbled the ball that you know, had two turnovers.
Speaker 6 (04:49):
I don't believe in the same play. Yeah, that's tricky
because you just saw what happened he did that.
Speaker 2 (04:54):
That's one.
Speaker 6 (04:55):
He threw four interceptions, had the lost fumble. Ye, and
we mentioned that first play. With zero touchdowns and five
turnovers in a game. Since Rob's favorite quarterback justin fields
in twenty twenty one, I should have finished the game
twenty one to forty two hundred and forty yards quarterback
rating of thirty one point two. It was all bad
for Jalen Hurts, all bad for the Eagles who still
(05:18):
can't get that offense out of the mud.
Speaker 1 (05:21):
Only one problem. Jalen Hurts didn't lose that football game.
Speaker 2 (05:29):
It was a j Brown. How many plays did he
not make?
Speaker 1 (05:35):
You want to talk about leaving plays on the field.
There was a playdown field easily could have caught. He
even admitted it. Did you hear it sound after the game?
Did we have a rob g. He had to acknowledge it.
Speaker 5 (05:48):
Yeah, yeah, that was yeah, that was huge, like like
they they should have won that game.
Speaker 2 (05:56):
They should have won that game. And and you heard
it even he from brought it up. But here we go.
He had three drops.
Speaker 1 (06:07):
One was a walking touchdown interception off his drop which
led to three points for the Chargers, and a drop touchdown,
So his drops alone were a seventeen point swing.
Speaker 2 (06:23):
I'm not dude, jayleen Hurst didn't play well either. I'm
not here to.
Speaker 1 (06:30):
Say he's totally exonerated. But you watched the game. You
saw the plays. Am I right? This is the guy
who's belly aching all the time about getting the ball
when they were winning, Kelvin, he wasn't happy because he
wasn't getting the ball they were winning. Now they're looking
(06:53):
at all, let's just throw them the ball. We don't
want to hear this guy cry. The difference between him
and crying puppies is that eventually the puppies will stop.
Speaker 2 (07:02):
I mean, that's the difference between a j brow and puppies.
Speaker 1 (07:06):
Seriously, I mean I watched the game, like this guy's
a talented receiver. That was an awful game. Seventeen points
swing in the game. You lost by three points in overtime.
I'm sorry AJ Brown. He cost the Eagles a game
last night.
Speaker 5 (07:28):
Boy, you slick it and a used car salesman with that,
you almost sold somebody. Man, if you don't get out
of here with that. AJ Brown had one hundred yards.
You're right, that tot and back of the end zone
would have been a good catch. It was a tough catch,
and I did not like the interception. He dropped it
because he did the alligator arm. I'm about to get hit.
That was more gregious. The touchdown would have been a
difficult catch. That had been more of a remarkable catch
(07:49):
to do. I give you that was bad. He short
armed it because he didn't want to get rocked. He
looked like, oh, I'm about to get hit. I don't
like that because the greats take that, and they take
make that catch with their team, they take a hit.
So I'm with you on that. I'll call him out
about that. But Jalen Hurts hurt his team. The man
had two turnovers in three seconds. How you throwing interception?
(08:10):
Get the ball that God gave you a chance back Guys,
here you go, Tom fumble right in your lap and
then you fumble and also more smoke dag near than Jalen.
Speaker 2 (08:19):
You know who gets more smoked?
Speaker 5 (08:22):
Their offensive coordinator, Kevin Patullo gets more smoked because.
Speaker 2 (08:27):
More than A J.
Speaker 5 (08:28):
Brown, more than Jalen Hurts. That team has too much talent.
Jalen Hurts, Davonte Smith, AJ Brown, great tight ends running back.
There's no way they should be averaging fifteen point fives
over the last handful of games and then they get
nineteen last night. That team has too much talent. You're
a raigning Super Bowl champion. This isn't like some a
wave of new guys. So he gets the smoke. Sirianni,
(08:53):
who then joined and got quote more involved in the
Eagles offense preparation. Did he don't look like it? So
I don't know what's going on. A. J. Brown again
did not help with that alligator. I agree with you
on that.
Speaker 1 (09:05):
Yeah, but he catch those are plays the touchdowns too,
those are plays he should make.
Speaker 2 (09:11):
He's a world class receiver. Don't let him off the whole.
Speaker 5 (09:14):
Though he had one hundred yards, nobody had big drops
though I'm nine drops that altered the game.
Speaker 2 (09:21):
Rob Jalen Hurts had five turnovers.
Speaker 5 (09:24):
You know how many turnovers he had in the first
eleven games, three total.
Speaker 2 (09:28):
He's at seven in the last two games.
Speaker 1 (09:31):
That still doesn't mean that if AJ Brown makes one
of those plays, they win that game.
Speaker 5 (09:37):
One of those plays we want to catch, the catch
with the wait and see what the back of the anzoa.
But the one of the that's the egregious one, because
I need you to catch that. You not wanting to
get hit cause an interception. But again, so I even
not put that one on Jalen because aj should have
caught it. He didn't want to get hit. But Jalen
(09:59):
hurts again. And this is this is a real question
to the both of you, you robs, Why won't Jalen
Hurts run anymore?
Speaker 2 (10:07):
Like I'm really asking you, guys. That's what made him dynamic.
Speaker 5 (10:10):
Dynamic the year he was an MVP candidate, the year
that went to the Super Bowl they lost to the Chiefs.
With those first two three years, is it pride Like
I'm a I am a quarterback. This is how I
want to do it. I don't have to run. I'm
genuinely happy to do Like, what is that? Well, do
you think it's him? I mean there's a scheme that
goes on, and that's why Kenna Patullo is getting some
(10:30):
of this smoke, and that's why Sirianni's getting some of
the smoke. What what made him do?
Speaker 2 (10:34):
That's it?
Speaker 1 (10:35):
But that's a game plan, right, I mean, I don't
think that this it's it's because they also added say
Kwan Barkley, right, No, but I'm just saying, like Kawan look.
Speaker 5 (10:44):
More like Charles Barkley right now. The man, the man.
They might not even get a thousand yards in seventeen games.
How you go from two thousand tim you might not
even get half of that. That's crazy. And again it's
not like he's not getting half of that because airing
it out for two hundred and eighty five three hundred
and forty yards a game, they're not doing either.
Speaker 2 (11:05):
Thank God for their defense that kept them in it.
Speaker 5 (11:07):
They had justin Herbert looking like Carl Lewis are there
running for his life. So I AJ Brown had a
couple won the major drop for sure, Davonte Smith dropped
a couple some I don't know what's going on. They
need to say.
Speaker 1 (11:21):
I'm glad you're at least acknowledging that you know, while
you can look at it and they all go on
the on the on the books for some of the merge. Yes,
I'm not and I didn't exonerate him. I never said that. Okay,
he didn't play well, but you sometimes have to look
a little bit deeper.
Speaker 2 (11:38):
It's just like we brought up with uh TJ. Houschman
Zada the other day.
Speaker 1 (11:43):
For everyone, where you talk about a drop, there's a
receiver saving the quarterbacks.
Speaker 2 (11:48):
But am I right?
Speaker 1 (11:49):
And there needs to be a stat or something where
you go like a saved potential interception or something. You know,
I don't know what you call it, but if you
want to do drops all the time, it just doesn't
make sense to.
Speaker 2 (12:01):
Me that one.
Speaker 5 (12:02):
Again, that's why that one was bad on him because
it ended up being an interception that will fall on Jalen,
but that was him.
Speaker 2 (12:07):
He should have caught that.
Speaker 5 (12:08):
But the thing what makes this team weird, and it
makes the AJ Brown situation weird because it becomes are
they forcing it to him or not? The last three
games for AJ Brown eight receptions, one hundred and ten
yards and a touchdown. The next game versus Bears, ten receptions,
one hundred and thirty two yards, two touchdowns last night,
another on hundred yards. So he's had three hundred yard
(12:29):
reception games. They've lost all three. So this is I
don't understand this team. Is that we're trying to force it. Oh, no,
we're gonna run it. They can't run it if they
don't do the little fake cute to push fake into
Saycon Barkley and he breaks it for you know, forty
fifty yarder. They don't score a touchdown that whole game.
They eagle should not be going a whole game barely
(12:50):
scoring a touchdown on a trick play. So I don't
know what's going on with them, and everybody gets to smoke.
But Jalen Hurts has to be better because the balls
in his hand. You can't have two turnovers on the
same play. It's crazy.
Speaker 1 (13:04):
AJ Brown has to be better, especially when you're the
one belly yaking about how much you want the football.
And he wasn't happy when they were winning and they
weren't throwing the ball all over the yard and now
they're throwing it all over the yard right to try
to get him the ball, And now he's not.
Speaker 2 (13:20):
Playing well, he's not performing.
Speaker 1 (13:21):
And you said the one hundred yards you bought to
have had two hundred yards if you can hold on
to a ball.
Speaker 5 (13:25):
He has three games in a row of one hundred yards.
He has three touchdowns and games. And that's why it
gets confusing. So I don't know this. I'm Disobdamed must
be happy. He's happy with the game plan now, Devonte Smith,
AJ Brown, Saquon Jalen Hurts, tight ends. There's no way
this seems to be Obviously, fifteen.
Speaker 6 (13:45):
Guys, fifteen days ago, the Eagles were up twenty one
nothing on Dallas. Ever since then and since then they
have lost three straight.
Speaker 2 (13:52):
It's amazing, all right, And this will be interesting because
I really want to hear from, say A J.
Speaker 1 (13:58):
Brown, who is the bigger problem in Philadelphia, Jalen Hurts
or AJ Brown?
Speaker 5 (14:04):
Oh, well, if you put it that way, I thought
it was gonna be that game. If you're putting it
that way, a problem because the problem is a different
conversation because the last three games where he's getting all
of his numbers, they've lost no Andy Brown and he
talking smack has been a problem for the team. We'll
continue that conversation next with you.
Speaker 1 (14:20):

All right, Plus we got last call coming up in
about thirty minutes or so as well. So a lot
to get to on this show. All right, let's take
some calls. A seven seven ninety nine on Fox. A
seven seven ninety nine on Fox.
Speaker 2 (17:06):
Who we got?
Speaker 1 (17:07):
All right, Chili Tim in Atlanta. You're on the odd
couple of Fox Sports Radio. What's up, old man River?
Speaker 2 (17:13):
How are you? Chilli Man?
Speaker 7 (17:16):
What's up?
Speaker 2 (17:18):
Chilli?
Speaker 7 (17:19):
I'll take that two quick points if I get to
the A. J. Brown things. One, Uh, Rob, I didn't
get called in the trash, but I'm telling I'm trash
in Toronto Blue Days because this weekend after Tank your
brother gave me some Dodgers World Series stuff. Because the
Blue Jays choked down the World Series. I have to
choke my brother out. Yeah, well, you know, don't talk
(17:40):
about the turnovers. The Carolina path is still remember Jake DeLong,
It's six turnovers in one playoff game. Okay, So getting
to the Philadelphia Eagles A. J. Brown. The reason why
he's getting this smoke because you asked for it, say
that you they could win games with you. And so
when you put that tarent on your back and then
go out and main games for the team. Here's the
(18:02):
set that no what he talks about, the average separation
for the league for receivers to dbate defensive backs of three.
Speaker 8 (18:09):
And a half.
Speaker 7 (18:10):
The Eagle's only getting two and a half. So stop
making them have to throw into those type windows and
get open and you know, and make some plays. I'm
not absolving Janie Hurts, but you're not making an easy
one the guy either. So you know, go out and
do your part. If you're going to talk about it,
you know, go out and do it. You know, make
the moments count.
Speaker 2 (18:28):
Fash Off, all right, hold.
Speaker 5 (18:30):
Doubt Cherlie Happy Holiday's man, Christmas brother.
Speaker 2 (18:33):
Appreciate it.
Speaker 1 (18:34):
Eight seven, seven ninety nine On Fox, Let's go to
Jermaine in Austin, Texas.
Speaker 2 (18:42):
You're on the couple of Fox Sports Radio. What's up
Jermaine here?
Speaker 9 (18:46):
How was it going? How was it going doing great?
Speaker 2 (18:48):
What's up?
Speaker 9 (18:48):
Buddy? He First off, Rob, you're the funniest person on radio.
I don't care what anybody says. I'm just letting you know.
Speaker 2 (18:55):
Right now, my man, I appreciate that.
Speaker 5 (18:57):
You know.
Speaker 2 (18:58):
That means a lot to me, Jermaine.
Speaker 9 (19:00):
It and another thing is you have no idea what
you mean to me, Rob, Like, seriously, I look forward
to every single day that you come on. So thank you.
Speaker 2 (19:10):
Oh wow, man, I appreciate that. Seriously. That's awesome.
Speaker 1 (19:15):
Yeah, thank you to even be able to do days
to articulate that and to say it.
Speaker 2 (19:19):
I'm serious, I appreciate that. That means a lot, no doubt, sir.
Speaker 4 (19:24):
I believe a J.
Speaker 6 (19:25):
Brown.
Speaker 7 (19:26):
I mean a J.
Speaker 9 (19:27):
Brown. He's a problem. You know, Like everything was going fine,
everybody was winning. I know it's not a particular way
that everybody wants Jenna Hurts to play, you know, with
all the stats and everything.
Speaker 6 (19:38):
But a win is a win at the end of
the day.
Speaker 7 (19:40):
And you know that now that.
Speaker 9 (19:42):
Adrian Brown is getting what he wants. Now, now we're losing.
Speaker 2 (19:46):
That right, it's crazy, right, Like he's getting all the
yards and all the balls coming his way and now
order three game losing streak.
Speaker 4 (19:54):
It's crazy work.
Speaker 5 (19:57):
Kevin Patulo, Sirianni, they go the young guy. Direct some
of the smoke to not just the players this team.
Speaker 2 (20:03):
It don't make sense if I gave you a roster.
Speaker 5 (20:04):
Like this music.
Speaker 1 (20:06):
Oh that's Petula, Patula, get it right, all right, appreciate it.
Speaker 5 (20:11):
May yeah, n worse you, Rob, no doubt, Robb, do
you have a feel we gonna hear about that? You
know we're gonna bring it up. Let me sitting here
giving him smoke. One day He's like, it's called to say,
I'm the funniest in the world, and I'll make the
days we got that, Alex, do we save that one?
Speaker 2 (20:31):
You already know that? All right?
Speaker 1 (20:32):
All the ways, my man, he's already making a club
ready on hot alex As to go.
Speaker 5 (20:37):
Rob g used to be to go, he used to
have to pass ound and everything rapp and now he's
but Mexican.
Speaker 1 (20:41):
Bro.
Speaker 6 (20:42):
Remember the guy that I pointed out he had like
six views on YouTube. He is going off on me
and the YouTube being comments.
Speaker 2 (20:48):
Because of that one. I don't know. I don't know
what I said.
Speaker 6 (20:51):
Apparently me talking about Rich Paul that interview. You didn't
like it. So there's been like nine different comments just
trashing me.
Speaker 5 (20:57):
Unbelievab Right, don't listen. Do we need to turn into
Rob the Kenba Matumbo?
Speaker 2 (21:02):
No? I mean, it's fine. Gets the block in up
in here, it's streets.
Speaker 6 (21:04):
It's just funny. I'm like, damn, bro, No, no, No,
you don't like me. He don't like Rob. He barely
likes Kelvin something. He comments every show, every hour, every ting.
Speaker 2 (21:17):
He loves us. We appreciate it. He likes is Alex.
Speaker 5 (21:21):
Yeah, he's got good taste, Alex.
Speaker 1 (21:23):
Did you see the graphic that I put on social
media about you know, like when when at the end
of the year they tell you how many how would
you listen to all that?
Speaker 2 (21:34):
And your podcast was on that? Did you see that?
Speaker 1 (21:38):
Rob?
Speaker 5 (21:38):
Caution was I didn't see it.
Speaker 2 (21:41):
I'm that Rob g Did you see it?
Speaker 6 (21:43):
You might have played it one time? I bet it
just happened to be.
Speaker 5 (21:47):
It's because it's so long. You don't really listen to
music like that.
Speaker 2 (21:51):
It was on there.
Speaker 6 (21:52):
It was on the list the Shallow Oceans.
Speaker 2 (21:55):
It was us.
Speaker 6 (21:56):
Do you remember what they talked about in that episode?
Speaker 4 (21:58):
Rob?
Speaker 2 (21:58):
You listen to you because he's your top five podcast?
The best part about something on it? Look how how
you were two.
Speaker 5 (22:06):
Seconds ago and we bring you back down to earth?
Speaker 2 (22:08):
It was about the Pittsburgh truck. Yeah, that's right. Yeah,
that was three years ago.
Speaker 6 (22:13):
Roy.
Speaker 5 (22:14):
That's okay, it's okay as long as there's one Okay,

that's gonna for sure be twenty four hours exactly what
we gotta hear about it all right on the way

Here's with us now A d Antonio Daniels, NBA Champ Pelican, Cvnlist,
Fox Sports Radio, Nbanlist. The man has mo jobs than
anybody we know, hardest working man in the business.
Speaker 2 (23:36):
Ad what's up, Bra, what's happening? It was great to
see you in BK, wasn't it.
Speaker 4 (23:43):
Yes, it was, man, Yes it was. That was just yeah, yeah,
it was.
Speaker 7 (23:48):
It was awesome.
Speaker 4 (23:49):
It was it would be surprised, I.
Speaker 1 (23:52):
Know, and you know what I when I saw you
down there, obviously I knew you would be there, but
I was like, okay, and then the big thing is
to I think, call your phone for you to answer,
you know what I mean, like because you're busy, you're
talking to people.
Speaker 2 (24:04):
And then he looked and I was like, look to
your right, look to your right, and there it was.
I had to go, yeah, see, it.
Speaker 4 (24:11):
Was awesome to see you, brother.
Speaker 2 (24:12):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (24:12):
No, the best game to watch, Oh, but it was
awesome to see you.
Speaker 1 (24:16):
I will say this about Brooklyn, okay and the Nets
at least, you know, like they know where they fit
in and whatever what's going on. I couldn't believe I
went in there and had a five dollars hot dog
and a five dollars dye coke. You know what I'm
not seriously, You go in there, you notice a do
you go to arenas around the country, you go to
(24:37):
do you go to Dodger Stadium, it's ten dollars for
a coke?
Speaker 7 (24:41):
Ten dollars, you know what?
Speaker 4 (24:43):
You know, Rob, A lot of times when we go
into arenas, they have media dining right right, and there
are certain arenas that don't have media dining. So what
they'll do is they'll give you a voucher. And with
the boucher, they say, you know what it's worth whatever
twenty dollars, you can eat, you know, anywhere in the arena. Man, listen,
(25:07):
you go somewhere in the arena, they give you that boucher,
you end up using your own money, right, I can't
cover enough to get something to eat.
Speaker 3 (25:15):
It is.
Speaker 1 (25:16):
It is crazy, and that's why I was show shocked.
To be honest, that of Nathan's hot dog in Brooklyn
was still just five dollars because I've paid ten dollars
at all the places.
Speaker 5 (25:26):
Well, you better hope they stop and keep not winning. Yeah,
I guess if the winning go up, the prices going up.
Speaker 4 (25:32):
You know that.
Speaker 3 (25:33):
Yes, Hey, you know what.
Speaker 2 (25:37):
Rich Paul? I want to start there. Rich Paul just
did a podcast? What was it, Max Callum.
Speaker 1 (25:42):
Mill Is their podcast together? Oh, they got a podcasting. Okay,
I never listened to the show, so I know you
never missed it exactly. But anyway, Antonio and basically said
that the Lakers aren't a championship contender.
Speaker 2 (25:56):
What do you make of that? Like, Okay, Lebron's your client, your.
Speaker 1 (26:00):
Guy, Yeah, a year or two left and he's playing
for what reason? Then, if he really believes that the
Lakers aren't don't have a shot.
Speaker 4 (26:11):
Obviously there's an arterier motive. I don't know what it is.
But there was a point where Rich Paul had a
lot of say in what was going on in Los
Angeles with the Lakers.
Speaker 7 (26:27):
There's the point he had a lot of.
Speaker 4 (26:28):
Say they weren't making decisions, they weren't making moves roster
wise without talking to him and talking to Lebron. Now
there has been a passing of the torch, and that
passing of the torch has now gone to Luca and
Bill Duffy. So things have changed in LA. So there's
an arterior motive there obviously, obviously, because you don't say
(26:53):
something like that for no reason, you know what I mean.
Speaker 2 (26:56):
It makes no sense. It makes no sense.
Speaker 4 (26:59):
No, your most popular client, and he's only playing now
to win championships, his words, and to come on and say, well,
you know what, I don't think they have enough to contend.
There's an arterior motive there, obviously. I just don't know
what it is.
Speaker 5 (27:14):
Oh, Adie, I want to go here. Lakers are in
the West, got other teams in the West. You got
some teams in the East. But we all wasting our time?
Is this the Thunders? We just just giving the ring
right now? Yeah, because they're less. I checked. They were
like twenty four and one, and they were doing that
most of those eighty percent of those games, ninety percent
without Jalen Williams. Then he goes SGA sits out Fortnite,
(27:36):
they still win big because Jalen's back. It's is insane.
Is there somebody who really can compete with them? Is
the league's only hope? The Nuggs said, is the only hope?
Speaker 4 (27:45):
Three? I think I think the Nuggets can, and right
now I think the Nuggets are the only team that
can because of n Kola Jokics, simply because of the
Kola jokicch But I will say this, and I'm going
off of what happened last year in the playoffs, because
who knows what would happen if Aaron Gordon wasn't hurt
(28:06):
in Game seven in Oklahoma City? Who knows what would happen?
Who knows? But here's the thing. Oklahoma City is playing
right now like a team that lost in Game seven
in the NBA Finals, not a team that won the
NBA Finals. They're playing like a team that lost that
is trying to make up for something. That team right
(28:28):
now is on a completely different level than anyone else today.
Right when we look at December, the second week of December,
it is Oklahoma City, and then there's a huge gap.
And then you can look at teams like Houston, and
you can look at teams like Denver, and then there's
another gap, and you can look at teams like Minnesota
and San Antonio with Phoenix. But Oklahoma City right now
(28:50):
has clearly clearly set themselves far above everyone else.
Speaker 2 (28:58):
Could that backfire? From the same point.
Speaker 1 (29:01):
Come from the standpoint of uh, peaking too soon, like
putting all this into we haven't even got to Christmas.
The season doesn't normally start tool Chris no Christmas. And
I'm not saying you go out there and try to
lose games, but I do wonder about Pilo nose up?
Speaker 2 (29:18):
Does that really help you come April May?
Speaker 4 (29:20):
Now here's the issue. Here's the thing with me though. Okay,
when you look at them and you see the way
they play, Jalen Williams hasn't played. They're sitting guys out,
They're wining these games with sixty percent of their starting
lineup on the sideline. They haven't peaked. That's the part
that's scary. This is a team that hasn't peach it.
Speaker 2 (29:41):
So worry. So what did I say about the rest
of the league? Seriously, because you're okay?
Speaker 4 (29:47):
Because trouble, that's what it said. You can't kill me
right now watching the Oklahoma City Thunder and watching them
blow teams out by twenty and thirty with no Dayton
Williams and no Idea Hartenstein and know Alex Caruso that
they beat. When they beat, that means everybody's available everybody's available.
Speaker 1 (30:08):
Right, But they can't win more than that. They can't
win better than their winning is what of them? I
just what are they going to do? And Tony, Okay,
you're saying that they're blowing people out, not even gonna
have their full squad, are gonna win by forty I mean.
Speaker 4 (30:20):
Like, listen, I don't have a problem with saying and
I know when I say stuff like this, people hate
to hear anytime anything that's going on in this NBA.
Speaker 7 (30:33):
To be the best of.
Speaker 4 (30:34):
Anything, Lebron to be the greatest of all time, they
have to be the greatest shooter of all time. This
Oklahoma City Thunder team, it could arguably be one of,
if not the best defensive team of all time. So
they literally, they literally have no one on their roster
that you can target. They have no one. There's no
(30:55):
one on that team that you can look at and say,
let's put this guy in action because we can get
him as some how many teams in history can you
say that about.
Speaker 5 (31:04):
No, they look incredible, but SGA may be their worst defender.
He is amazing. That's what's crazy. He's a really good defender.
I should say. So let me go here, with you.
Antonio Daniels on with the odd couple on the trash
talking Tuesday. What the heck is gonna happen with Gianni's
He hasn't fully asked for tray He's supposed to be
having talks. Doc Rivers says, he I ain't heard nothing
about it. He's gone, okay gone. Where is a likely possibility?
Speaker 7 (31:27):
I don't know, Like I don't know that.
Speaker 4 (31:29):
That's the hard part. But the easy part is he's
gone because it's what's best for both sides agreed. That's
very rare, you know what I mean. Usually when someone
a star asked out, it's what's best for the star.
In this particular case, it's what's best for Giannis, and
it's also what's best for the Milwaukee Bucks because they
have put themselves in financial turmoil. They have a loan
(31:52):
out on Damian Lullard's right for the next four years
and money right, so now they're already behind financially, so
they can't They have no old financial flexibility, they have
no draft assets. The only nice young player that they
have is Ryan Rollins and they just figured him out
this year, So how can they build for the future
around Yannis? So Basically, this is what is going to
(32:15):
look like as long as Yannis is there. If you
can rise yourself with Janni's and I mean that respectfully,
even though you don't want to, you can get draft
assets now to start building for what's next. I just
don't know what teams out there can make that happen
for them. I have a he can't be, he can't stay,
who can't stay in Milwaukee?
Speaker 1 (32:34):
Who's the best team in the East? Long silence, because
I feel the same way. I wish I could tell you.
Speaker 3 (32:44):
Now.
Speaker 4 (32:45):
In a seven day series, I would take I would
take the Knicks. Okay, in a seven game series, I
would take the Knicks. But the Detroit Fitstons are playing
amazing basketball. I just don't know, when you know, when
the light so the brightest, what that's going to look like.
Speaker 2 (33:04):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (33:05):
And the other thing, too is if you look at
their schedule, and I'm not knocking them from winning those
games when they had that big what was it, thirteen
game winning streak, like nine or ten of them were
again some really bad teams.
Speaker 5 (33:15):
And that's the East, though, and they won.
Speaker 1 (33:17):
But I don't know if I could register and say
that they've turned the corner yet that's all.
Speaker 4 (33:22):
They turned the corner from where they were last year.
Speaker 2 (33:24):
You think they're better, Yes, no doubt.
Speaker 4 (33:28):
All right, Ad, they're better because I think they're more experienced,
and I think Kate Cunningham is better. Well, I think
it's confidence desire. He's in top He's in the top
five in VP conversation today, without a doubt.
Speaker 5 (33:39):
And then we got to talk next time. What they
do with Jalen Durry. They gotta pay him big money.
At some point you're going to pay him. Yeah, appreciate
you as always, man, Mary Christmas Hoday.
Speaker 2 (33:49):
Yes, we'll talk yep, Okay, all right?

Speaker 5 (35:27):

Speaker 2 (35:30):

Speaker 5 (35:34):
And I'm done. Okay, I'm not gonna lie, Alex. That
one may or may not be floating around Los Angeles.
I tell people and were so stupid, Like Rob was like,
who screwed it? That one is gonna lie. I've told
that story at least twenty six times. Yeah, that that
one has made it around town. It's funny that was
made in roundtown. But you really didn't mean it like that.
(35:55):
We were talking about Chuckle City, you know, but one team.

Where is that seventy six? We're lucky, you're right, seventy
two old man, I don't know.
Speaker 6 (38:18):
And the other show, we opened up a show with
the songs over one hundred years old.
Speaker 2 (38:21):
That's all right. It was like nine people got that reference.
It was appropriate. I don't care.
Speaker 1 (38:26):
I want the nine people got it to get it.
And that clip is all over social media out there. Yes,
let me go see, let me go give it like,
