So the last? What was that kid's name?
Speaker 5 (01:52):
Do you believe it was Isaac? I believe I could
be wrong, but I thought it was he was it.
Speaker 4 (01:56):
Isaac is a kid's name, and you know, we were trying.
I'm all about helping people. I don't know that. I'm
a mentor to many young kids.
Speaker 3 (02:06):
I'm always trying to get them into the business and
and and help them along the way.
Speaker 4 (02:11):
And this kid, what was his name? Again? You keep
forgetting this?
Speaker 3 (02:15):
Okay, Isaac? I thought it was Aaron, but he was
talking about Aaron Rodgers. I tried.
Speaker 2 (02:20):
Listen.
Speaker 3 (02:21):
Now, listen for yourself, because I tried to let this
kid get on the first moment on the air and
all that, and this is a national radio show and
the kid he froze.
Speaker 6 (02:31):
But I tried than Aaron Rodgers.
Speaker 7 (02:36):
And then so we have to so we have to that.
Speaker 8 (02:39):
We have to we have to.
Speaker 5 (02:45):
See this is what I'm talking about. I can't believe
you right now.
Speaker 4 (02:50):
He couldn't get it out. See this is listen the
father And was he ordering a stakehom sandwich? I'm just
asking what he was doing.
Speaker 5 (02:58):
Rob on the radio with his dad's favorite show, listening
to Rob Parker and Kelvin Washington the I Cup and
he was excited and he got you know a little
over jittered and was excited. And you're supposed to go,
all right, little buddy, appreciate it. Hey, thanks for calling. Man,
gave him as much like this is how you ended it.
Speaker 4 (03:17):
All alright, alright Aaron? Alright, Aaron.
Speaker 5 (03:21):
No, you're supposed to edit it all right, buddy, thank you, man. Hey, Hey,
we appreciate it. Call keep listening. That's how you're.
Speaker 4 (03:26):
Supposed to end it, Aye, Aaron. I'm like Rob, his
name is not even Aaron. Alright, Rob, that's that kid's
super villain. You know, there's the origins right there where
he became a there what happened. It's gonna be your fault.
Speaker 3 (03:41):
It was twenty five now robbed the radio on YouTube
on YouTube, but they're on my side the odd.
Speaker 9 (03:51):
I'm gonna read some of these comments here. Trey says,
Rob's a fool for that one. What Thorley says? Kid
got trashed for stuttering and stuttering? Sean, you know the
official mayor of the yard. Yes, couple, Bob says, quote,
we will not nt interrupt you unless you're a kid.
Then get off my line. It's a good point. Damon
(04:12):
says Rob's the radio equivalent to a WWE heel. Yeah, yeah,
c says Uncle Robert.
Speaker 4 (04:18):
Fool. He had to do a little man like that?
How did I do him?
Speaker 3 (04:22):
I gave the guy like twenty second because missing the point.
Speaker 4 (04:25):
Zach says Rob's a cornball brother for that? Oh God, Alice,
did I not give him twice and came back? Call back?
We'll get you on this shit.
Speaker 5 (04:35):
Your call back Isaac. Dad, if you're listening, have Isaac
called back? Because everybody has let him on the show.
I could have told one to Dad said let me
put my son on. I could have stopped it right
then and there.
Speaker 3 (04:46):
We usually don't do double calls out Rob g right,
we don't do double called allow.
Speaker 4 (04:53):
We allowed him to put his son on.
Speaker 3 (04:55):
We were trying to let him have his moment on
the national radio and the kid flubbed.
Speaker 4 (05:00):
That's all.
Speaker 5 (05:01):
No, kid, that is where you're supposed to go a man,
thank you a little, but hey, great call.
Speaker 4 (05:07):
Go do your.
Speaker 5 (05:07):
Homework, have fun like that. You gotta learn a little,
all right? Oh god, I just try. I try so hard.
I try.
Speaker 4 (05:19):
It's right. This is the day that Isaac. I'm telling you,
this is his villain story. I was Alice.
Speaker 3 (05:27):
Can you see them tears of my odds because the
last thing I ever would want to do is hurt
a kid.
Speaker 4 (05:33):
Is because I'm other than Santa Claus. I'm the next guy.
Speaker 5 (05:37):
I'm just saying, when it's close like Santa than you,
guess who not to Isaac. Let me tell you we
have lost a fan who for the rest of our tenure.
Speaker 4 (05:50):
Oh man, dude, it's crazy. I'm listening to the hot couple.
John has a new comment. This is great. Uh.
Speaker 9 (05:56):
You know that kid somewhere crying to his Rob Parker
frame picture while he tears a party's ticket from the
Rob Parker media.
Speaker 5 (06:01):
Room, Little wolver He is not wolvery know the wolver
ain't looking at the frame.
Speaker 3 (06:07):
That kid is hurt so bad that he's actually gonna
listen to Jim Rome tomorrow.
Speaker 4 (06:11):
That's how bad it is. That doesn't that get carried away?
All right? Worry now, all right.
Speaker 3 (06:16):
Cal Rawley was talked to after the game.
Speaker 4 (06:20):
Obviously, the marriage lose a heartbreaker.
Speaker 3 (06:22):
They were up three to one, give up a three
run home run in the bottom of the seventh to
George Springer. They lose four to three. Uh, he had
a home run in the game. And and you know,
they would ask basically about whether this season was a failure.
You know, the Mariners are the only team not to
win a pennant. Forget about, you know, winning a World Series,
(06:42):
but actually winning a pennant to go to the World Series.
That's what the pennant would be if they would have
won yesterday. And remember they won the first two games
in Toronto, so they had to lose four out of
five not to make it to the World Series. And
he was here was his answer when they asked him
about the season. He said it very quietly, didn't.
Speaker 7 (07:04):
He You know, I hate to use the word failure,
but it's a failure.
Speaker 2 (07:08):
And that's what we expected just to get to the
World Series.
Speaker 4 (07:12):
Win World Series.
Speaker 6 (07:13):
And that's you know what the bar is, and the
standard is, and you know that's what we want to
hold ourselves accountable to.
Speaker 8 (07:18):
But yeah, it's uh, it hurts.
Speaker 4 (07:23):
All right.
Speaker 5 (07:24):
There's a real time answer, in a real time gut
feeling and a real time sadness to it. And I
believe him. He feels it's a failure. He feels they
were let down. We were right there. You mentioned that.
You go in there, you still too in Toronto. You're
feeling good about that. The odds are in your favorite
you're up in Game seven, you hit a home run,
and to lose it feels like a failure. But this
is where I disagree with him. I think time will reveal.
(07:44):
Right now, he's in the middle of it. You ask
him immediately, you put a mic in his face after
a tough, tough Game seven loss, chance to go to
World Series. Of course he's gonna say it feels a failure.
But I disagree. And the reason why is the specific
sport baseball is hard. Baseball is unique in that it's
a team sport, but it's the most individualized team sport, right,
and so many guys are considered greats who don't even
(08:08):
then even sniff a World Series opportunity so many guys
are great who maybe got to the World Series.
Speaker 4 (08:12):
We didn't have it.
Speaker 5 (08:13):
We say sometimes a lot of people believe Barry Bond's
the greatest player ever.
Speaker 4 (08:16):
Doesn't have it.
Speaker 5 (08:17):
Obviously he went to World Series, but he doesn't have one.
Mike Trout for some year, man, where is he one
of the all time greats, doesn't have one as well
and has not even made the postseason and the eons.
Baseball is just different like that, where you can be remarkable,
your team can have a really good run, they can
have an incredible season, and it doesn't have to hinge
on simply did you win a title. Basketball is like
(08:37):
that because you have a Steph Curry, a Lebron and
his prime, a Kobe and his prime.
Speaker 4 (08:42):
You fill in the blank, and usually with that, that's two.
Speaker 5 (08:45):
That's a huge, that's twenty, maybe even forty percent, depending
on you look on it. Because the guy plays offense
and he's played defense. He can be that Spectacula forty
two or the forty eight minutes. And if you have Jordan,
you have Lebron, you have Shaq, you expect to win
a title in the next ten years, depending on how
long they're with your team. So it's a little bit
different if you're the Patrick Mahomes and then you feel like,
we got Andy Reid, we got Patrick Mahomes, we got
(09:06):
a few of the same pieces. We expect to win titles,
just a failure if we don't. Baseball is just tricky
like that Cubs sold out for eons people they didn't
win for a hundred years or whatever it was. The
Red Soux didn't win for eons and they still consider love.
People love them, They go to the games, and obviously
it sucks and you want to win, but it's not
considered a failure. Baseball is just a completely different sport
(09:26):
in that regard. So again, in the real time moment,
I totally fully expect him to feel that way, but
I think as time goes by he'll feel differently because
it's a unique sport in that you don't have to
just win to still be considered great. You don't have
to have World Series titles to be considered great. You
can be great. A team can be really good and
not be penalized as you will be if you're a
(09:48):
great quarterback in the NFL. If you don't go to
the Super Bowl and you're a great quarterback. You can
get penalized if you're a star player in the NBA,
you never win a title or get to the finals,
you can be penalizing be Dean for that. It's different
in baseball. So I don't think it's a fil I
think he's gonna look back and feel differently at some point.
Speaker 4 (10:03):
Yeah, I disagree. It was a failure.
Speaker 3 (10:05):
And in this standpoint, when you it's one thing if
you're they had a really good team all year, they
did all these things that they want to accomplish, and
then they were up to all It wasn't like you
got swept and you were overmatched. And then people say,
well they lucked into the playoffs and they really weren't
that good. No, people really thought that they were that good. Yeah, okay,
(10:29):
and that's what I'm saying. So you did and then
they win the first two games. The only way you
don't win is you gotta lose four of the next five.
Three of those five games are in your own building.
Do you see what I'm saying. So when they look
at it, it's hard. It was like I told you
before with the Knicks and why Tims got fired. You
(10:51):
beat the Celtics, the defending champs. Now Indiana's coming to
your crib, and you go, everybody in New York, the
Knicks are going to the finals.
Speaker 4 (11:01):
Oh my god.
Speaker 3 (11:01):
They beat the Celtics and now they just got to
beat the Pacers. Pacers beat them last year in seven games.
You remember the Knicks had some injuries whatever that Pacers won.
This year, you're up by fourteen or whatever, it was,
sixteen with forty three to go, and you choke down
that game. Then you don't even fight back in Game
(11:22):
two at home. You lose that game. And I'm telling you,
if you go ask people and say, well, last year
the Knicks got to the Conference finals for the first
time and eons, and my god, is that a great season?
That No, that was a failure because something was sitting there.
And that's why I think the Mariners could obviously look
at it.
Speaker 4 (11:41):
They weren't. They weren't.
Speaker 3 (11:42):
They didn't get blown out ten nothing. In Game seven.
They were up three to one with needing seven outs, right,
six eight outs because it was in the seventh inning
with one out, so they were eight outs away from
going to the World Series for the very first time
in their franchise history. You think Kyle Riley is gonna
(12:03):
hit sixty home runs again? Like this is one of
those moments and situations you want to capitalize because everything
worked out for you. And then you go, oh, we're
gonna get sixty on runs again next year. We're gonna
have this go. Right, Are the Rangers gonna be banged
up and we're gonna win a division?
Speaker 4 (12:20):
You know all these other things You start to look
at and you know.
Speaker 3 (12:23):
How hard it is because you've seen the Yankees with
their payroll haven't won a World Series since two thousand
and nine. It ain't automatic that you get to go
back next year and you're in that position. That's why
for him to say it's a failure, I know it
sounds harsh, but it is a failure for Seattle.
Speaker 5 (12:42):
And I absolutely hear you. But for so many reasons.
That's why I think he's gonna eventually look at it.
We talk about Seattle and how they haven't done much,
they haven't had great seasons, they haven't had and not
to mention him personally a historic personal season, which in
baseball is a great ride for the fan base. Right,
they take this ride with him, They go through a
home run setting most home runs for a catcher, most
home runs for a switch hitter, most home runs in
(13:03):
franchise history, all of those things matter. Is a part
of the season and telling you fans himself, they're gonna
look back as they get further away and be like, man,
that was an incredible season. It sucks that we didn't
get there, and that burns for a while and burns forever.
But the idea that the season was a failure, I
don't think he's gonna feel that way as time goes by.
You put a mic in his face in that moment.
Absolutely he's gonna say that. Fans might feel that, but I.
Speaker 3 (13:24):
Think i'd rather hear him say that if I was
a fan, rather than rather than Yanni is saying when.
Speaker 4 (13:30):
They lost, oh, it wasn't a failure.
Speaker 3 (13:34):
We you know what was his exact thing, Rob g
He was just kind of poo pooing the hole and
nobody lost or whatever like that whole notion. I'm not
buying that, because there is we do keep track of
who wins and who nobody loses. You know, yeah, steps
to success, which just no, you lost. You know, Doc
Rivers could sit there and go, what did he say? Oh,
(13:55):
I don't know how many people lost that many games?
Speaker 4 (13:57):
Oh yeah, no, worst of all time? That was what?
Speaker 6 (14:01):
Right?
Speaker 2 (14:02):
Doc?
Speaker 4 (14:02):
What was making up.
Speaker 5 (14:03):
Excuses for him? He was basically saying, you know how
hard it is to even get to the playoff.
Speaker 3 (14:07):
That's what I'm saying, right, yea more than half the
league makes the playoffs?
Speaker 6 (14:11):
Doc?
Speaker 4 (14:12):
What part of you or what party do we understand?
All right?
Speaker 3 (14:15):
Eight seven seven ninety nine on Fox eight seven seven
nine nine six sixty three sixty nine? Was cal Raley
right when he called the Mariner season of failure?
Speaker 4 (14:29):
Or or not? We'll continue that conversation next with you.

Speaker 5 (16:27):
Yeah, Well, the first of all, I know you're not.
You talked about otiny. That's not honest, all right? Eight seven,
seven ninety nine on Fox. You don't have an issue?
I mean you have an issue with cal Rowlin.
Speaker 4 (16:38):
No, I don't.
Speaker 5 (16:39):
I think he's gonna realize it was not a failure.
It was a failure. They were up three two to
oh after winning the first two.
Speaker 3 (16:46):
They lost four of the last five, including Game seven,
which they led three to one going into the bottom
of the seventh inning.
Speaker 4 (16:53):
That's a failure period.
Speaker 3 (16:55):
Eight seven, seven ninety nine on Fox, Andre in Massachusetts,
you're on the Cup Fox Sports Radio.
Speaker 4 (17:01):
What's up, dright, how you doing?
Speaker 7 (17:04):
Thanks for taking the call.
Speaker 2 (17:05):
Listen.
Speaker 7 (17:05):
Mariners, you know, they had a Sissifie situation right where
they rolled the ball all the way to the top
of the hell, you know, just almost there, only to
have it come tumbling back down all the way to
the bottom. I can't agree with Roley though at the
season it was a failure based on when's the last
time the Mariners were in a championship conversation relevant? You know,
has it been since each ye row retired. What are
we talking about here? This is building towards something that Yes,
(17:28):
and I know that second place is first loser, but
did they have championship aspirations coming into the season.
Speaker 3 (17:34):
Well, when they were up two old, you don't think
they thought they were going to the World Series. I'm
just asking you, when you're up two old, two road
winds to start.
Speaker 7 (17:43):
Bro point taking. Yes, but we see these swings all
the time. It's for yeah, it's you, you're up to oh,
you have the commanding lead, but that it's not intermental.
Two oh is different than three to zero, and a
lot of times teams can't come back and swing the momentum.
So it's heartbreaking, self defeating. You know, it's a morale crusher,
all of those. But to say the entire season is
(18:05):
a fairly I just think that's you know that that's
a bridge too far based on what the expectations worthing that.
Speaker 3 (18:11):
Andre, real quick, Andre, real quick. You know what kind
of guy I am. I'm the kind of guy who
will let a young kid get a break on radio
his first time. They're trying to pay me out as
I'm a bad guy. Andre, you don't buy into that,
do you.
Speaker 8 (18:24):
I can't do it.
Speaker 7 (18:25):
No, No, somebody from New York City, you know what
I mean. No, No, they need to do it. Get
some coffee in the sweet roll and keep it moving.
Speaker 4 (18:31):
That's right. Thank you. I love Rob you. I love
the days.
Speaker 6 (18:37):
Boy.
Speaker 4 (18:37):
You sound like another network. It's always the Day's doing stuff?
Speaker 3 (18:40):
Is that Jola in Dallas? You're in the odd couple
of Fox Sports Radio?
Speaker 6 (18:44):
What's up?
Speaker 9 (18:46):
Man?
Speaker 8 (18:47):
Good man? Oh yeah, Now I've been watching' all on YouTube.
Y'all look good man, y'all doing it. Good, y'all doing
the big man.
Speaker 4 (18:52):
Appreciate you, Thank you, my man. Appreciate you for sure.
Speaker 8 (18:56):
No, Rob, you need to get a haircut though. You
need to beerd though. You know, get it.
Speaker 3 (19:01):
It is a little crazy. I'm not gonna de lie
after after my after my.
Speaker 4 (19:06):
Press box appeal anymore. No, he got to he got
to August. I'm gonna get a caught that's coming. It's coming.
Speaker 8 (19:16):
But Carol Ray's one hundred percent. Man, this is professional
sports man. He can't be saying this. It's a good season.
If you didn't make it to the to the big
game and win it, you know, and uh, let's talk
about the game. The picture that wool kids should have
stayed in. I don't even watch baseball. I never missed
it because I don't watch it too much. They should
have kept wooing the game. He looked like he had
the look of a guy that was ready to do.
Speaker 4 (19:38):
He was wooing all right, he was.
Speaker 8 (19:41):
They looked healthy, those the younger kids. And then they
put in that other guy. He looked like the battle
off of the Chicken Legs Springer versus the other guy.
They didn't look but he looked like his knee wasn't
gonna work. And then he hit that home run. I
was like, man, that's crazy that.
Speaker 4 (19:56):
I knew he was gonna Remember, I said, thanks for
the call. I should said he remember.
Speaker 3 (20:00):
I said, maybe they should should sit him down because
he looks so bad in his first couple.
Speaker 4 (20:05):
And all that.
Speaker 3 (20:05):
Yeah, Kirk Gibson, who give me Eric in Riverside? You're
on the couple of Fox Sports Radio.
Speaker 4 (20:13):
What's up? Eric?
Speaker 8 (20:16):
What's up?
Speaker 9 (20:16):
Rob?
Speaker 5 (20:17):
This is uh Eric and Isaac?
Speaker 3 (20:20):
Hey here we go.
Speaker 4 (20:21):
What's up? Heyac?
Speaker 6 (20:25):

Speaker 7 (20:26):
Get him trash him?
Speaker 6 (20:27):
Isaac, Yes, built.
Speaker 5 (20:36):
Built, see you're to turn him into Now he's gonna
be out here in these.
Speaker 3 (20:44):
Streets, Isaac, can you get on the line. Isaac, you're
a old guy. We let you back on the radio.
How old are you?
Speaker 4 (20:54):
Isaac?
Speaker 2 (20:56):
You can't tell what I am?
Speaker 4 (20:58):
No, because then I'm gonna.
Speaker 5 (20:59):
Make a mistake and then you gonna you're gonna hold Isaac,
you're nine, that's my guest.
Speaker 4 (21:02):
Nine.
Speaker 8 (21:03):
No, I'm not nice.
Speaker 4 (21:05):
How old are you? He wants you to get uh?
I love it?
Speaker 3 (21:14):
Nope, all right, we got to have all day. Well,
all right, and you know what, Isaac, you sound good
on the radio. Man, Hey, Isaac, what can you work

Speaker 5 (22:04):
We got last call coming up in a baby right now.
Mark Fucky co Medina, Fox Sports Radio, NBA Insider, NBA
writer for Essentially Sports, Mark g Underscore Medina, and the
man who's been at Crypto dot com arena for twelve
hours straight.
Speaker 4 (22:18):
What's up?
Speaker 6 (22:18):
Mark Calvin Rob, I saw you guys, who'll be at
the game tonight? What's going on?
Speaker 4 (22:23):
Well, you know what's funny.
Speaker 5 (22:24):
I was there, my morning show was and later on
I went to grab some food and write at Fixings,
and I did see you bother You were there early
as heck.
Speaker 6 (22:32):
Man, I was there early. But I guess you know,
like Lebron James, Rob isn't going to show up on
opening night.
Speaker 4 (22:40):
Some of us have a national radio show on for.
Speaker 6 (22:44):
I'm just saying that is true. You know what, you are,
an all eighty two gamer type of host. So all Lebron,
I mean this sky Attica injury that he suddenly had
this fight not even working out as a little mysterious.
Speaker 4 (22:57):
Yes, that that was really mysterious, because what is the deal?
I mean? Is this his pride?
Speaker 3 (23:03):
Because if he sees where the franchise is going, and
I don't know, he's like a preemptive strike, you know
what I mean to say, Well, let's see how they
start without me. You know what I mean, since I'm
not the focal point anymore?
Speaker 4 (23:14):
Is that is that what we're feeling?
Speaker 6 (23:17):
No, Rob, I think it's an actual injury, or I
don't think he would do that because one luc at
Dodgers is ready to you know, take the keys of
the franchise and lead the team because he's in his prime.
He's Luke at Dodgers, and he's going to be even
better and improved this season. So it is a real injury.
But I think, you know, there's legitimate concerns on how
it would happen, what the rehab would look like. I mean, guys,
(23:38):
they haven't given a time table other than he's going
to be evaluated at some point, you know, the next
week or so. But that doesn't mean he's going to
be clear. That just means okay, he may or may
not get permission to start doing some encore work, and
as of now, he's only done individual works. So this
could be a preview of many other injuries they asked
(23:58):
to manage during his twenty third season.
Speaker 5 (23:59):
It is weird. I've dealt with saiatica. I deal with
it at times, but you usually can't project out right.
It's just like I'm having a bad day or two
or a bad few days. It's not like a you know,
I'm going to be out three four weeks. It's not
one of those types of injuries. So I read that
that was strange. But let me ask you this, even
without him, do they have enough bringing in Marcus Smart,
bringing in DeAndre Ayton to go with you know, Luke
(24:21):
in the best shape of his life. Do they have
enough to be good for the next handful of weeks
till Lebron is back?
Speaker 4 (24:25):
Hopefully?
Speaker 6 (24:26):
I think they have enough with or without Lebron to
be the fourth seed in the West half home court
advantage of the playoffs. But wow, when you're looking. When
you're looking, even in best case scenario, if Lebron getting back,
that's not enough to unseat the defending chance with the
Oklahoma City under They got most of their core, if
not entire back. The Denver Nuggets, they have a better
supporting cast than that around Nicole Yoka. Shamal Murray is healthy.
(24:48):
The Rockets they got Kevin Durant. Yeah, for Van Vleet
has an injury, but am and Thompson is a great
two way talent. Aburn Shangoon is an emerging big and
so I think that there is a stressker. So the
second tier are the dark horses, the Lakers, Clippers, Warriors.
I think out of those teams, the Lakers surprisingly actually
are less vulnerable. Yes, there's questions about lebron serability, but
(25:10):
the Warriors they have a lot of guys past their
thirties that they're going to have. Clippers, the Clippers always
have injuries. They have to worry about Kawhi Leonard, now
Bradley Peel. So I think with the Lakers it's really
just about worrying if Lebron is or is not healthy.
And while he is important, I think Luca Dodgers is
going to win MVP this season. He's in better shape,
(25:30):
he's going to have a larger workload, and he's still
only twenty seven years old. So what you saw with
him leading the Dallas Mavericks to the NBA Finals is
the kind of version I think you'll see with Luca this.
Speaker 4 (25:40):
Yeah, I'm not so sure.
Speaker 3 (25:42):
I know you want to discount the Joker, but I
think with a supporting.
Speaker 4 (25:46):
Cast, those will be He's always going to be in
the mix there for the the MVP.
Speaker 3 (25:53):
Let me ask you, so, is Brownie a part of
the rotation with the Lakers?
Speaker 6 (25:58):
Actually, because he has an ankle injury, so he's already
out of the rotation.
Speaker 4 (26:03):
Okay, if he was healthy, is he going to be
in the rotation this year.
Speaker 6 (26:07):
I'm not serious, in all seriousness. I don't think you know,
he might be ninth, ten to eleven.
Speaker 3 (26:13):
Guy.
Speaker 6 (26:13):
I think the rotation players Lebron, Luca, Austin Reeves, DeAndre
and Aayton Gaye, Vincent Marcus Smart really at Shamra and
that's probably about it, and baby Jake Laurravia. I think
everyone else are probably going to get healthy scratches and
the only time that they play is going to blow out,
loss or win.
Speaker 4 (26:33):
How about Austin Reevez, he was exposed.
Speaker 3 (26:36):
A lot of people were like, he's not good enough
to be your third option.
Speaker 4 (26:41):
We saw him in the postseason.
Speaker 3 (26:42):
I mean, does he have something to do to re
establish himself and have people look at him differently?
Speaker 4 (26:49):
Because that was glaring to a lot of people.
Speaker 6 (26:52):
Rob one hundred percent, because I think what we've said
with Austin Reeves is he's shown he can be good
enough to be a third option, but can't he do
it consistently every single game? And as we saw in
the playoffs, his body wore down, he was struggling with
double teams. There's also questions on whether he and Luka
Dacic can co exist together. Because they both are most
(27:12):
effective when they have the ball in their hands. Neither
player are the greatest defenders, but I think there's gonna
be more success here because Marcus Smart's a great defender.
Same thing with Gabe Vince, and they can take care
of the prone in their defense. But I've seen, even
though it's only preseason, good chemistry with Luka Doxic and
Austin Reeves where I don't think it's just gonna be
(27:33):
Muka hoisting shots up and playing Austin Iso ball. And
same thing with Austin Reeves. The fact they have DeAndre
as a pick and roll partner and improved free point
shooting is good to open up the floor. So I
do think that Austin Reeves. Actually, I'm not gonna say
he's going to win Most Improved Can't Award, but he
could be in the mix because you're gonna see I
(27:55):
think twenty four points a night for me.
Speaker 4 (27:57):
I don't think.
Speaker 5 (27:57):
I don't think he can win it because I think
he's been good enough and that people kind of had
that expectation for him now, so like, how can he
win it? It's not like this is two years ago him.
I think people expect that from him now, I want
to see that from him. Mark Funky Comedina, our guests here,
let me let me go here, God forbid, Mark, we
talk about the Eastern Conference. There's really the least in
conference right now with Boston being banged up, not the
(28:19):
same Halla Burdon out.
Speaker 4 (28:21):
Is it Cleveland to lose?
Speaker 3 (28:23):
Is it?
Speaker 4 (28:23):
Giannis finally gets back to the Nis.
Speaker 5 (28:25):
We'll go into the Knicks. You know, does don't sleep
on Orlando, don't sleep on Piston. What's going on in
the Pistons East right now where we can talk to,
West is clearly the better conference for sure, without a doubt,
super deep.
Speaker 4 (28:36):
But what about the East? What are you? Who are
you looking at?
Speaker 7 (28:38):
Yeah?
Speaker 6 (28:38):
I think there's really only two tiers. It's the Cleveland Cavaliers,
New York next, and then everyone else has an outside
shot only if there's major injuries. So those tiers with
the Bomps, Orlando, Magic, Detroit so everyone else aren't going
to be serious contenders. But I think it's going to
be clevel when they have their guys back. Darius Garland,
Donovan Mitchell, healthier, Evan Bob Is I think going to
(29:02):
be set to take another leap offensively because of how
great Kenny Atkinson is as a coach, and also they're
really going to try to get him more involved talking
to his trainer own simple as he was saying that, Uh,
you know, it's on him to be more vocal, be
more demonstrative, because even though Donvan Mitchell is a very
legitimate All Star threat as a scorer and playmaker, and
(29:23):
he can be as good as he is scoring as
he is as a rim protector. Uh, they're going to
be unstoppable because they'll always have that flop threat. But
it's on him to be more aggressive, and I think
they'll take that next step.
Speaker 5 (29:35):
I should ask you this real quick, rod ahead, how
long will Yannis be a Buck?
Speaker 4 (29:40):
All year?
Speaker 6 (29:42):
You know what I'm wrong? I thought that he was
going to ask out this summer. I think he doesn't
have it in him to ask for a trade, even
if he has them dissatisfaction with things. So I think
that he will remain a book and the Bucks are
never going to trade him unless they hear that demand outright.
And don't think that's going to happen.
Speaker 4 (30:01):
No doubt.
Speaker 3 (30:03):
Last thing, are we going to hear anything from the
Clippers and the commissioner question?
Speaker 4 (30:08):
No, I just said, it's been dragging on. I don't know.
Speaker 3 (30:13):
I don't know if the commissioner really can put sanctions
on a guy who's so rich and the.
Speaker 4 (30:19):
Yeah, yeah and all that, like what, But I just
can't see that happening.
Speaker 6 (30:23):
Yeah, all sir, weekends definitely happened into it, though. I
don't think there's going to be any ruling after that.
I think the president, with NBA investigations former Sons owner
Robert Sarver that took about nine months, expect the same timeline,
so it could be next summer. But if they find evidence,
and that's the key thing, it's about what they can prove.
(30:44):
I think that you'll get a multimillion dollar fine loss
of draft pics. But I don't think anything other than that.
So in other words, I expect the punishment to be
a flap.
Speaker 5 (30:54):
On the risk five million dollars in a second round
pick something easy like that, and you.
Speaker 4 (30:59):
Have to eat at the concession stand there.
Speaker 5 (31:03):
They they might give up all the info. Then all right,
if we gotta eat that, never mind, will tell you everything.
Please just don't make us eat it. Mark appreciate you man,
Thank you, Boddy. Enjoy the game.
Speaker 6 (31:11):
Appreciate your robins telling you guys, for.
Speaker 5 (31:14):

Speaker 4 (31:22):
Don't nip on me. I didn't do anything wrong today.
Speaker 6 (31:24):
I did not.
Speaker 4 (31:26):
I care about America's youth.
Speaker 3 (31:28):
I am a professor, I'm a mentor, I'm a friend.
Speaker 4 (31:33):
I don't know what else I could be
