Speaker 5 (02:39):
Got bars, I Got bars.

Speaker 3 (02:42):
This one is like a TV commercial cut up. This
is a jingle.

Speaker 1 (02:46):
This is a jingle Burger King. I can't believe they
haven't called this shit. But me and Kelvin we put
together this because I love shaw Day. I think Shaddy
is one of my favorite sing and you know that
song Your love is King, of course, and I thought, okay,
so we put that together and we made this Burger
kings on.

Speaker 3 (03:05):
Here we go, what the camera? Your burger is King? Everyone,
I wrote that age of by my side.

Speaker 6 (03:26):
Wrapping the bond, give me some extra pickles because.

Speaker 3 (03:39):
Your burger king, your meat is we.

Speaker 5 (03:47):
That was so bad.

Speaker 3 (03:48):
That is I mean the flatness, the wrong note.

Speaker 5 (03:52):
I mean here, the overuse of phaser.

Speaker 7 (03:56):
I heard a little bit of I heard a little echo,
a little delay.

Speaker 3 (04:03):
Your burger is King.

Speaker 7 (04:05):
The first come in with the burgers King line is
on the three or should be on the floor like
it's it's a lot.

Speaker 5 (04:09):
There's no compression, no Okay, can we.

Speaker 3 (04:22):
Do, Rob, we do. Come on, don't don't kill the
show now now, I do like.

Speaker 7 (04:27):
I do like what you're doing, though, Rob, you could
definitely you can definitely send that somewhere and see if
somebody will put it on something and it can be
fun and it can be the thing. So understand that
I do. Yes, I do understand that. Okay, Rob G,
do we have it? Rob does not have it? Rob G,
I don't.

Speaker 3 (04:47):
I don't have it. Alex saves all that stuff. You
gotta find it. The Belichick. I like the Belichick and
you are not doing.

Speaker 5 (04:54):
Yes it is, I swear to God on everything I
love it is not.

Speaker 3 (04:57):
You know what?

Speaker 1 (04:58):
You guys are terrible? What kind of producers and editors
are you? And engineers?

Speaker 3 (05:04):
Songs a year?

Speaker 7 (05:05):
I need every one of them available whatever whatever I
call for him?

Speaker 3 (05:09):
How can you do this to me? All right?

Speaker 7 (05:11):
Your burger is not king? That's right? Yeah, yeah, I'm

Speaker 3 (05:16):

Speaker 8 (05:52):
Rob You got heard me there right, But you gotta

Speaker 7 (06:02):
That's mister got mister Robinson, that's we got it clear.
You get that you.

Speaker 3 (06:08):
Be quiet.

Speaker 5 (06:10):
You gotta get a copyright.

Speaker 4 (06:12):
That a couple of jacket clear with whoever made that
brand promise you We did not.

Speaker 3 (06:17):
It was clear. What are you talking about? So you
can't you can't show that.

Speaker 7 (06:21):
You can't let me hear that as a as a
as a as a radio guy. I know what that is.
I know where you sampled that from. So sorry, but
bars though I did. I like the bars. I like
the bars.

Speaker 3 (06:32):
Fooling around with that young stuff like you do.

Speaker 5 (06:38):
Have you heard a baseball song?

Speaker 3 (06:40):
What baseball song? Because I've got a golden app bat.
I've got to know the chance to win the game.

Speaker 6 (06:51):
And with the golden that bat, it's a.

Speaker 9 (06:54):
Gold Okay, wait a minute, one more, just play one
last one and then we're gonna get to our topic.

Speaker 3 (07:06):
We got the Dubai song? Can we play that? Why
do you? Why do you?

Speaker 5 (07:09):
Why do you conference songs? And you don't give any
like prep time or nothing.

Speaker 3 (07:14):
Dubai song, it's gotta be in the folder. What do
you mean, let's just the Dubai? Is it Dubai? Yes?
Oh wow, I don't even know. I don't think. I
want to know what this where this is going with
the Dubai stuff? Is it? Is it like that what
I'm thinking? No?

Speaker 10 (07:29):
No?

Speaker 3 (07:29):
Uh? Do we have it?

Speaker 2 (07:33):
No?

Speaker 3 (07:33):
Thumbs down?

Speaker 7 (07:34):
All right, I gotta say, you're audacious, rob and you
go for it, and I'm I'm.

Speaker 3 (07:39):
Here for that. Actually you got you gotta be able
to entertain the mass. I'm with you. That's what we hear.

Speaker 1 (07:45):
And the Dubai song is a classic. I can't believe
we don't have it. All right, let's talk about the
Pittsburgh Steelers.

Speaker 3 (07:52):
Do we have it or not? You say, and I.

Speaker 2 (07:56):
Say, Dubai, Dubai, Dubai.

Speaker 6 (08:01):
I jumped on a plane in the sky and went
to Dubai.

Speaker 3 (08:08):
I don't know why I went to, but I want
to Did you hear the boys? Yea hey, hey, it's
it's it's natural, it's real. May you say hello? And
I say, Dubai?

Speaker 5 (08:23):
What is the insto behind that? What's that behind that?

Speaker 3 (08:27):
What's the answer, what's the behind that?

Speaker 5 (08:29):
Inspiration?

Speaker 1 (08:30):
I went to Dubai on vacation, so I just was
and I was listening to the.

Speaker 5 (08:35):
They should lock you up for that song.

Speaker 3 (08:38):
They should lock you up so bad.

Speaker 1 (08:41):
I wanted a real singer to hear some of my
work carry and I we don't get to do this
all right. I want to talk about the Pittsburgh Steelers
and just get your take on on where we are
with the Steelers, because rob g the stuff coming out
of campus that their defense right, glowing, glowing reports about
the defense. We know what they've done defensively for years.

(09:03):
They've somehow been able to win nine and ten games
with no quarterbacks.

Speaker 4 (09:08):
Seriously, Aaron Rodgers saying him in the OC are getting
on swimmingly, everything's going, you know.

Speaker 3 (09:12):
And now he got a quarterback.

Speaker 1 (09:13):
If they can keep him healthy, people forget and and
we get it. The Jets were all full, so you
just look at the record. But Patrick Mahomes and Aaron
Rodgers had the exact same stats.

Speaker 3 (09:25):
Go look at it.

Speaker 1 (09:26):
Anybody who's like being honest and just look at the stats.
They were the same stats and he was way better
the last ten games of the season.

Speaker 3 (09:35):
I think what's the over under? Is it nine?

Speaker 1 (09:39):
I think they won eleven games? Ten eleven games and
win a playoff game.

Speaker 3 (09:43):
Oh, I think I'm on board with that.

Speaker 7 (09:46):
They the Fox Sports they had a poll where the
Steelers were the six rand team coming to the season.

Speaker 3 (09:52):
I think that's a little high.

Speaker 7 (09:53):
But the fact that they brought in these guys they
got in, they got you know, Aaron Rodgers number one,
he's gonna play well. Guys like that don't stay down
on the mat for long, right now. No, No, when you
beat them up and you try to discredit what they've done,
they'll come out.

Speaker 1 (10:06):
You remember we had I had a big fight with
Bucky Brooks on this show because you remember when Aaron
Rodgers had the bad year, Rob g what year was that?

Speaker 3 (10:15):
And he was basically saying his career was over.

Speaker 1 (10:19):
You go, yeah, should go to Chicago And he only
won one of the two MVPs after that.

Speaker 3 (10:23):
After that.

Speaker 4 (10:24):
What was funny is Bucky's like, yeah, I got that
went wrong and Rob will still bring it up over
and over.

Speaker 1 (10:29):
And over because because he was so wrong, like he
was like, oh, he's done.

Speaker 3 (10:34):
This was five years How many years ago was that five?
Six years ago?

Speaker 4 (10:37):
This was before the first MVP, you know, when he
came back for the and he went back to back.

Speaker 1 (10:42):
That's why like six like six years ago, six years ago,
that's what I'm saying. And he was ready to say,
oh he can't play anymore?

Speaker 3 (10:48):
Is this and that?

Speaker 1 (10:49):
And I'm with you, And that's why I try to
bring whenever I'm just talking about him. The stats that
Patrick Mahomes. They won fifteen, they were fifteen and two
with those stats at the quarterback and what you could
do if you have a quarterback who's decent, which they
haven't had in years.

Speaker 7 (11:04):
I love I love him in that situation. I know
they they brought in John new Smith as well, so
they want to run some twelve personnel. So they're gonna
run the ball, they're gonna play action. They got fire
muth and they got John new Smith at the tight
end position.

Speaker 3 (11:15):
You got DK on the outside.

Speaker 7 (11:16):
They're gonna be better and defensively if they're playing the
way they're playing right now. I like the addition of
Jalen Ramsey because he's gonna be able to play corner
but also play safety and move around a little bit.
So I like the flexibility that he that he has there.
So that team's gonna be good. But they're in a
division with Baltimore and Cincinnati and so it's just it's
gonna be a war of attrition.

Speaker 1 (11:35):
They still made the playoffs last year, you know what
I'm saying, like with those teams in there, and that's
what I'm saying. The other thing too, is Mike Tomlin,
let's let's just be honest. It's go time. Yeah, Like,
they haven't won anything in a law like they ever
want to. They won a Super Bowl a long time ago.
What was that two nine or ten?

Speaker 3 (11:56):
No, it was eight a nine eight or nine nine?

Speaker 7 (11:59):
Yeah, one of right, Yeah, that was still Cows team,
So it wasn't.

Speaker 1 (12:03):
And then he had they haven't won a playoff game
in like since.

Speaker 3 (12:10):
Twelve or eleven or something like, it's been a while.

Speaker 1 (12:13):
When you start to add up what and I think
he knows they need to win a playoff game. They
need to you know, I know the goals to win
the Super Bowl, but you need to get into the
dance right and then have a legitimate chance and win
a playoff game. And I think that's why I'm into
the Steelers. I think because they have been able to
win in the past without a quarterback. And I don't

(12:33):
I'm not saying this is Aaron Rodgers back to back MVP. Yeah,
at thirty eight or nine years old. I mean at
thirty six or seven. He's older now, but if you
can keep him up right and protect him, he can still.

Speaker 3 (12:46):
Throw the football. You can throw the football, that's not
that's not an issue. It's keeping him upright.

Speaker 7 (12:52):
And if he stays upright and they can play defense
the way they can, the team has a chance. I'm
intrigued just to see with all the pick ups they
had right Pittsburgh usually plays it safe and kind of
stay status cool, and I think that's why they've been
right around five hundred the whole time. But this is
the team that, like you said, it's taking a swing
for the defenses right now, and I'm excited to see it.

Speaker 1 (13:14):
All right eight seven seven ninety nine on Fox eight
seven seven nine to nine, six sixty three sixty nine,
Real simple, What are your expectation for the Steelers and
last time they won a playoff game with twenty seventeen.

Speaker 3 (13:27):
Yeah, so it's been.

Speaker 1 (13:28):
A while, That's what I'm saying, like like like he
needs to win one. It's been it's been a minute,
you know, and the Steelers need that. Their fan base,
I'm sure, is like, Okay, how long are we gonna
go without winning a playoff game?

Speaker 3 (13:40):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (13:40):
What are your expectations? I got them winning a playoff game.
I got them winning. I think the nine I think
is the over under. I got them over that. I
got them ten or eleven wins. I would take that
to the bank because of what they do defensively. In
the addition of Aaron Rogers, where are you, we want

(14:01):
to hear from you? It is the odd couple on
a Magic City Monday, Rob Parker and Kerry Rhoades right
here on Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 3 (14:08):
And you know what to do? Stick and stay, you say,
and I say, Duba, come on, Kerry, Dubai dudebye.

Speaker 1 (14:19):
I jumped on off playing and went to Dubai, went
to Dubaduba dobye dudebye.

Speaker 2 (14:28):
Fox Sports Radio has the best sports talk lineup in
the nation. Catch all of our shows at foxsports radio
dot Com and within the iHeartRadio app search FSR to
listen live.

Speaker 1 (14:40):
All right, it is the odd couple on a Magic
City Monday. Rob Parker, Carrie Rhoades, Infra Kelvin Washington and
uh achey knee stiff back joints not cooperating. Some days
your body just like Nope, ain't happening. And on those days,
luckily there's a leave with just one pill. A leave

(15:04):
provides up to twelve hours of paying relief so that
you can keep moving. Use as directed. I'm definitely gonna
leave guy. Yeah, you know.

Speaker 7 (15:13):
I'm crack crack crack a few achy joint know that,
no doubt?

Speaker 2 (15:19):
All right?

Speaker 1 (15:19):
Eight seven seven ninety nine on Fox talking about the Steelers. Uh,
they won ten games last year with a quarterback roulette.
The defense is good. I think they're gonna win eleven
games and a playoff game. That's where I'm at with
the Steelers. I like what they've done. They have a
sense of urgency. Mike Tomlin needs to win. Where are
you am, I sugar over the top. You got them

(15:42):
not winning any games?

Speaker 3 (15:43):
Where are you? Eight seven seven ninety nine on Fox?
All right, we got Tim from the at L. You're
on with the odd couple. Man, how you doing?

Speaker 11 (15:52):
Hey, what's just carried?

Speaker 10 (15:53):
Rob?

Speaker 11 (15:55):
I'm gonna definitely try to see it tomorrow, and when
that's you, I'm going to remind you of the gamest
delicious from the Boondock. Stop Jock, please stop Jock riding
for Aaron Rodgers.

Speaker 3 (16:08):
Come on, man, you mean what you mean?

Speaker 1 (16:11):
You mean the quarterback with the greatest quarterback rating in
the history of the league, that quarterback Kerry Gerry.

Speaker 11 (16:18):
Have you ever seen the episode I'm Jock riding for Obama?
They did, That's what.

Speaker 3 (16:26):
I have not seen it.

Speaker 1 (16:27):
But they want they want ten games with justin fields
out there.

Speaker 3 (16:32):
My god, they won ten games last year.

Speaker 11 (16:35):
And though here's my problem with your take, Ride, I
get what you're saying, but when you comparing Patrick Mahons,
Patrick Mahomes has had playoff success over the last no no.

Speaker 1 (16:46):
No, no no no, that's not Tim, Tim, Tim, Well,
let me say that. All I'm doing is the stats
like and and you can say whatever you want about
Patrick Mahomes last year. I guarantee I swear to go
and look Tim and find me a quarterback that was
fifteen and two and got zero first place votes for
MVP it's not possible.

Speaker 3 (17:08):
It's impossible.

Speaker 11 (17:10):
I get what you're saying. But what I'm saying is this,
like if we look at Aaron Rodgers, even when he
had those MVP seasons in Green Bay, he came up
laying against the forty nine ers twice. So I get
what you're saying. He said, sometimes it's about the moment,
needing the moment, and that's my problem with Aaron Rodgers
in the last couple of years.

Speaker 3 (17:29):
Won a Super Bowl.

Speaker 1 (17:30):
And see this is where I no, no, no, it
doesn't matter when you know why. You know why, Tim, Tim, Tim, No,
but Tim, this is why. Because people say Damn Marino
is a great quarterback, but he never won a Super Bowl.
I could give you a ton of guys who were
great quarterbacks, but at least Aaron Rodgers had his moment
where he did win was the Super Bowl MVP. And

(17:53):
I can't give you any other quarterback who played in
as many playoff games as he had where they gave
up four or more points defensively.

Speaker 3 (18:02):
So you're right, he doesn't have all the.

Speaker 1 (18:05):
Greatest stats, but you're not being fair when you look
at some of those and Tim, as somebody who's watched
the NFC and watched his whole career, like when I
was in Detroit. Here's the other thing that nobody ever
talks about is that a the Packers never drafted a
skill position player his entire career. That's true when he
was there, and there are a lot of things that

(18:27):
happened during that time where he lost in the postseason,
where he never got the ball back in the old days.

Speaker 3 (18:35):
Those are facts I'm not giving you. You know what
I mean. Where he when they played Arizona. I don't
know if you remember this.

Speaker 1 (18:43):
He throws a touchdown with no time left to tie
the game, Arizona gets the ball back right and scoring the.

Speaker 3 (18:50):
Game over like you saved a moment.

Speaker 1 (18:52):
He threw up a hail Mary with no time left
to tie the game to send it to overtime. The
Cardinals got the ball, drove it down and won the game.

Speaker 3 (19:03):
Right.

Speaker 11 (19:03):
Okay, that's all.

Speaker 3 (19:04):
That's all I'm saying. That's all I'm saying. Rob.

Speaker 11 (19:07):
I'll give you that if you if you give me.
You talked about Pat mahons. You can't tell me if
you've got those. Give me Pat mahomes in the Super
Bowl with that lineup against Chapel Bay with no offensive line.
So if you I'll give you Anon Rodgers, if you
give Pat Mahons a break off.

Speaker 3 (19:24):
Okay, so you mean you mean, uh, what about what about?
All right? What about last year? What was last year?

Speaker 12 (19:31):
Last year?

Speaker 1 (19:33):
There's no excuse, So let's all right there we go,
all right, dillright, Tim, I'll take it easy, appreciate you
Andre for Massachusetts.

Speaker 3 (19:41):
Are on the couple of Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 10 (19:44):
Hell you doing, Thanks for taking the call listening. In
terms of the Steelers, they've put together a complete roster,
the offensive lead. Now they have a quarterback to run
their offense. I just managed the game. Aaron Rodgers can
get those trunk plays, those explosive plays as well. I
have been making the playoffs and consistent with you and
also winning a playoff game. Being that not just a
complete roster, but they're playing in arguably the toughest division

(20:07):
in all of football with the Ravens and the Bengals
and the upstart Browns team. People are sleeping on the
Browns just because of all the controversy and drama with
the quarterback. That's the team with a stout defense that
is going to have a competent quarterback to manage those games,
and you know they're going to be They're going to
have those knockdown, dragout games within the division. So two
of those teams are coming out definitely into the playoffs.

(20:29):
I have it being the Steelers and the Ravens, with
the Bengals being a possibility because I don't trust their defense.

Speaker 1 (20:35):
I'm with you, and they didn't do anything to fix it,
Thanks dray Right. They didn't do anything to fix it.
And that's my issue with the with the Bengals. Last
year we saw Joe Burrow throw nine touchdowns against the Ravens.

Speaker 3 (20:47):
How many games did he win? Yes?

Speaker 1 (20:52):
Zero into nine touchdowns in two games against a division
rival and didn't win a game, right, unbelieved Bard. Who
we got next? I'm just all over the place. Coming up,
Mark Stein. We'll do some NBA talk, but first let's
get you caught up with Steve de Sake.

Speaker 2 (21:07):
Be sure to catch live editions of The Odd Couple

Speaker 12 (22:02):
I'm worried about Kerry Rhoades. Carry Roads is on every No,
it doesn't matter if I'm calling it on Tuesday night,
Friday afternoon, Sunday lunchtime. You guys give him any time off.

Speaker 3 (22:17):
Mark, You're you're exactly right.

Speaker 7 (22:20):
But I'm also I think I'm doing a little bit
of that myself on purpose.

Speaker 3 (22:24):
Marking man working, Mark, no doubt. How are you? Mark?

Speaker 1 (22:28):
Uh Lucas contract UH one sixty five. I guess there
was some idea that if he takes less money now,
he can get more money later.

Speaker 3 (22:38):
Is that the Is that the case?

Speaker 12 (22:41):
Yeah, Look, he could have done a three year extension
or the four year extension. But the three year extension
makes tons of sense for him because he has a
player option now going into the twenty eight twenty ninth season.
If he declines it and goes to free agency, his
next deal with the Lakers is going to to be
more than four hundred million over five years plus. I

(23:04):
reported this on Sunday. No one's really talking about this part.
But he can also get a no trade clause, and
there are only two full no trade clauses in the
whole NBA. Lebron has one and Damian the Lillard just
got one in his deal that brings him back to Portland.
Because it's in the NBA, it's hard to get that.

Speaker 3 (23:22):
Would you give that to Damian Lillard suiously?

Speaker 12 (23:25):
Because I'll explain it to you. You can only get
one in the NBA. The way the league rules work.
On no trade you have to have eight years of
service time, you have to have four with the same team.
But also you have to go to free agency and
get a new deal. You cannot add it to an extension.
And in the NBA almost everybody extends contracts, so they

(23:49):
don't go to free agency, and so they can't get
the no trade clause. But Damian Lillard was waved and
stretched became an unrestricted free agent. He obviously already had
four years with the Blazers before joining them, and he
obviously has more than eight years of service time, so
he was able to get at this time. When when
Damian Lillard did his extension with the Blazers a couple

(24:10):
of years ago, it was an extension, so he couldn't
get one. So this Luca's going to have this opportunity
in the summer of twenty twenty eight to get this
ridiculous you know, five year, four hundred plus million with
a no trade. I mean, for him, it is it's
a slam dunk.

Speaker 11 (24:27):
To go this route.

Speaker 3 (24:28):
Man, that's crazy.

Speaker 10 (24:30):
Mark.

Speaker 7 (24:30):
But I want to talk about I'm gonna deep dive
on the Lakers just a little bit more. Obviously, Luca
said in a press conference that he you know, this
team has what it takes to win. I think when
you hear that delusional. When you hear that, some people
like Rob will say as delusional. Right, But we saw
Luca take a Dallas Maverick team that was, you know,
their next best player or most dependable player was Drian

(24:52):
Finney Smith at a point, right, so we know he
can get them there, but like, what do you think
about this team and the where they're constructed right now
as far as their windows.

Speaker 12 (24:59):
Compet He's always going to say that that's just the
we have, and you know, I can find it to
be a huge surprise. Look, I think the Lakers have
improved this summer given the limited flexibility that they have.
I don't know that they could have done much more
than you know, we're seeing a lot of buyouts in
the NBA these days, and they got two of the

(25:21):
best players on the buyout market in DeAndre Ayton and
Marcus Smart. So with really limited flexibility, they've made a
couple significant ads to the roster. And I think la
Ravia will be you know, at the price point they
got him, I think he can help them too. So
obviously they lost Story and Finny Smith, but the reality
is again they just think there's not that they just

(25:43):
don't have the wiggle room to go out and do
something splash year. And I think the thing that they're
probably happiest about is they kept their best trade chips.
They've got a twenty thirty one. First that people want.
You know, they could still trade Dalton connect. I mean
they've got they still have some trade assets that they
were able to hang on to. But look the thunder.

(26:07):
They're coming back as heavy favorites in the West. Houston
upgraded by getting Durant. Denver's had a nice summer, yep,
you know. And then we'll see about the rest of
the West and high how high up the ladder can
the Lakers go.

Speaker 3 (26:21):
No doubt? What about the Spurs son in Fox?

Speaker 1 (26:24):
The Aaron Fox got a four year, two hundred and
twenty nine million dollars.

Speaker 3 (26:28):
Where do you see the Spurs?

Speaker 1 (26:30):
You know, when everything is everybody's healthy and together, are
they anything in the West or or no?

Speaker 12 (26:38):
Well, it all really comes down to Wemby. I think
this is a big This is a significant move obviously
to Max Deer and Fox because in February the Spurs
made this big trade to bring in Fox as the
star sidekick to wem Minyama. But since then, we've seen

(26:59):
Stefan Cas win Rookie of the Year. We've seen the
Spurs get the number two pick in the draft lottery
and select Dylan Harper, who a lot of people think
has star potential. So it's not quite the same landscape
for the Spurs as it was when they made the
Fox Steel and when they made the Foxtel. At that point,
they're basically committing to the idea that, you know, we're

(27:20):
going to max this guy and make him Wenby's co star.
But I think there is a lot of curiosity around
the league. You know, we only saw Wemby and Fox
play I think in five games together. We barely saw
them as a duo. The question number one is in
wemb Yama comeback and have good health this season after

(27:41):
the terrible blood cloth issue that derailed his season after
the All Star Game, you know, was obviously super scary.
We got to see how he and Fox matches a duo.

Speaker 11 (27:51):
But Fox, Castle.

Speaker 12 (27:52):
And Harper is their room in the Spurs backcourt for
all three of those guys, and it's not how are
they going to direct it?

Speaker 2 (28:00):
By that?

Speaker 12 (28:00):
And look, we don't This doesn't get much notice. San
Antonio actually has the second longest playoffs route in the
whole league. The Onets have a nine season playoffs route.
The Spurs have been out of the playoffs for six
years in a row. And we are very unaccustomed to
seeing that from the San Antonio Spurs. So they need
to they need to make the playoffs this coming season.

(28:21):
But look, I think it really when if when Minyama
could play sixty five seventy games, you have to think
they're a playoff team.

Speaker 3 (28:28):
Yeah, well, Mark, here we go.

Speaker 1 (28:30):
We've been talking about I've been playing for Carrie. Some
of my greatest hits here on the couple. And of
course we have a Wemby song.

Speaker 3 (28:38):
So here you go. Carry this for you. Yeah, we
one knows just Wimby. Oh my god, Mark, Oh my goodness.

Speaker 12 (28:48):
You have the greatest hits catalog in the system.

Speaker 3 (28:51):
Yes we do.

Speaker 1 (28:54):
I'm a sayinger. You know the Wimby song was made
by Do you know who? The original people made the
Wimby song?

Speaker 3 (28:59):
Do you know more?

Speaker 12 (29:02):
Please don't take this personal, but your rendition did not,
did not hit me with it.

Speaker 3 (29:10):
No more time, one more time? Please, here we go,
Here we go. Everyone knows it's whim.

Speaker 1 (29:20):
It's by the Association, which is great for the NBA.
By the Association, it's Wendy. Everyone knows it's Wendy.

Speaker 3 (29:29):
I never heard that. You've heard us? How the Association?

Speaker 12 (29:32):
You don't know that song, play the real one.

Speaker 3 (29:37):
No, let's let's let's move on. I got one more question,
but I got a basketball. Everyone knows it's swim By.
That's ridiculous.

Speaker 7 (29:46):
Market is funny over But no, it's funny because yes,
I think the Spurs going to be a better team
in the West this year. I think they have a
chance to surprise people. But I want to talk about
a guy that was being touted as you know, the
face of the league and obviously has some success in
the playoffs. And you know, now with these other teams
making moves, not talking about that much, but what do

(30:06):
you think about the Minnesota Timberwolves and Anthony Edwards and
that and and those guys.

Speaker 3 (30:11):
Know, you're right, they've fallen off as far like a
lore or talk about them.

Speaker 12 (30:15):
Well, maybe they've fallen off in terms of us talking
about them because they're another team that didn't have a
ton of flexibility. So it's not like they went out
and made a bunch of splashy moves. I mean, look,
they did consider they did have talks on Kevin Durant.
It was going to be you know, they would have
had to make. It would have been major changes for them.
They would have probably had to lose Gobart and Evincenzo.

(30:38):
They ultimately decided they didn't want to go that route.
I mean, here's the West is just yes, It's just
like like we can say that lake, How are the
Lakers going to do? How are the Spurs going to do?
How are the Wolves going to do? How are the
MAVs going to do? Right, hulf is going to decide
so much of this.

Speaker 3 (30:57):
You didn't even known the Clippers, right, And you're.

Speaker 12 (30:59):
Right, And I think I think, you know, look, a
lot of people are questioning the Clippers age, but I
think they've had a very nice summer and have clearly
upgraded their team. So that's the thing, is like Utah
is not trying to win in the West. Everybody else.
I mean, you know, Portland's trying to win. Portland's brought
in Drew Holiday, and you know they're making and Indian Lillard,

(31:21):
who's obviously we don't expect Damian Lillard to play this
season recovering from the Achilles, But like Portland's making win
now moves and they were only a thirty four win
team last season. So everyone in the West is trying
to grab a playoff spot and just just finishing top
six in the West is a significant achievement because it

(31:42):
gets you out of the playing all.

Speaker 1 (31:44):
Right, he is Mark steiner Man. Thank you for the
information and knowledge. We appreciate you, appreciate your brother.

Speaker 11 (31:50):
That was good. Guys.

Speaker 3 (31:50):
Fox soon Yeah all right?

Speaker 1 (31:52):
Uh coming up, last call here on The Odd Couple.
So you want to if you haven't been able to
get it earlier, here's your chance. Eight seven to seven
ninety nine on Fox. Will take a call on anything
you want to talk about. Maybe you missed out on
Wimby song.

Speaker 3 (32:08):
No, I like the one. The Wimby one has a
little it's a little catchy, right, it's a little catchy.

Speaker 1 (32:13):
Everyone knows it's Wimby.

Speaker 3 (32:15):
Yeah, it is the Odd Couple.

Speaker 1 (32:17):
Rob Parker, Kerry Roads right here on Fox Sports Radio.
I feel like Dick Clark tonight, you know, with all
the music you know American.

Speaker 3 (32:26):
Bands, that's right? Yeah, yeah, all right. Maybe I shouldn't
have said Dick Clark.
