A leave provides up to twelve hours of pain relief
so that you can keep moving use as directed. Oh
my net, that's right and coming up in about twenty
(01:36):
eight minutes, Tyler Dragon. Of course, the USA Today NFL
reporter will do that plus last call if you aren't
able to get in.
Speaker 3 (01:47):
That's right.
Speaker 1 (01:48):
Earlier here in the program, Rob g Roger Goodell was
on The Today Show. That's right, today, The Today Show Today,
like USA, did you read you say Today Today?
Speaker 3 (02:01):
You remember that? Dude?
Speaker 4 (02:01):
I used to do the show and the spectrum La
Times Today L to day but at aired tonight, boy,
that was that was to watch La Times Today tonight
at nine, right.
Speaker 3 (02:12):
But he was on the Today Show? Was he with
Al Roker?
Speaker 5 (02:16):
Who was? He was with Craig Melvin, with Craig mel
friend of the show was Craig Laught.
Speaker 3 (02:20):
I wish he was Actually he was laughing. He's not
as hard, you know. I saw him at n I
saw him at A Wait, that's his laugh all the time.
I've been saying, that's Craig Melvin.
Speaker 1 (02:31):
He was putting on extra ham because he was laughing
at Michael Jordan's joke.
Speaker 3 (02:35):
That was over the top. Right. Even Mike had to
go Michael.
Speaker 5 (02:40):
Like a couple of weeks later and he's like, yo,
you know, you know I was a little excited, like
I saw.
Speaker 3 (02:44):
Him at NABJ.
Speaker 1 (02:48):
I think I was over zealous with like saying hello
to him. I kind of got a little crazy, you
know what. I appreciate your honesty, I'm dead serious. I
think I was a little because you know, he's a
big anchor man. That was kind of like he kind
of hit you with here you doing it?
Speaker 3 (03:00):
Yeah? And I was like, oh, okay, you know.
Speaker 4 (03:03):
What there are I've told you about one person in particular.
There are people that you just think, yeah about all
these years, I haven't seen these people at the same
invY and then we don't have that, you know, because
most of it it's like family reunion as you know,
you what's up it. I mean he wasn't like put
off for right, but was it like like we're playing
your drop like ten times every day he's been on
(03:23):
the show.
Speaker 3 (03:24):
Rob Okay, Yeah?
Speaker 4 (03:25):
Is that like how Steven ain't walked in your birthday
but everybody else how you doing it except for you?
Because he's your birthday, Rob. He said he walked in.
He was just too well, which is bad.
Speaker 1 (03:34):
Big because he got he got there late because the
plane got delayed, but he was there. Man, I can't
I'll never you know what I mean, somebody making an
effort to fly to Las Vegas for your birthday.
Speaker 3 (03:46):
I always appreciate that. A shout to him on a
new radio shows, right, I never miss so everybody can
get it. I hope he texts you during the show, right.
Speaker 1 (04:00):
Bob Parker, put the FaceTime on these, put the phone down.
Speaker 3 (04:03):
You produce you to call me. I want to get
on right now, exactly all right, an you gotta get
them on.
Speaker 5 (04:09):
Roger Goodell making his round to promote the upcoming NFL
season with kicks off in about twenty three hours from
now when the Eagles take on to Cowboys, and in
any event, he was on the Today Show.
Speaker 3 (04:20):
As you mentioned.
Speaker 5 (04:21):
During the conversation, he was asked about the idea of
an eighteen game regular season.
Speaker 3 (04:27):
Here's the exchange.
Speaker 6 (04:28):
Listen, we always say what do the fans want? What
are the fans really think is important? And I think
it's clear they want more regular season game versus preseason games,
and it's something that we'll work through with the players Association.
We continue to make our game safer, and I think
that's hit the core of making that kind of a decision.
Can we do it safely for our players? But it
(04:51):
also I think represents an opportunity for us to continue
to bring higher quality NFL content Ultimately in a regular
season game is clearly better.
Speaker 3 (04:59):
You mentioned giving the fans what they want.
Speaker 6 (05:01):
As you've probably heard by now, a lot of NFL
fans would love to not have to go to work
the day after the super.
Speaker 3 (05:07):
Bowl under the Craik always takes them Monday off. But
America wants to as well.
Speaker 1 (05:12):
Correct what point do we start to see the super.
Speaker 3 (05:15):
Bowl on President's Day weekend?
Speaker 6 (05:17):
I think if you went to eighteen weeks regular season,
that would probably occur. Okay, is possible somewhere in the
calendar could happen before that, just because of the calendar
the way it lays out. But I think eighteen weeks
would get you to that point, and I think it
would be a great, a really great move.
Speaker 1 (05:33):
It's the biggest non factor I've ever heard, like this
whole idea that you need a day off or Monday
after the super Bowl. Do you know what time the
super Bowl kicks off? If you live here in Los
Angeles three o'clock. What time does Sunday Night Football come
on every Sunday eight o'clock Eastern? Right, and people go
(05:54):
to work on Monday. You don't need no holiday. What holiday?
This is the NF and these fan like the NFL
trying to make themselves more special or more important than
they really are.
Speaker 3 (06:08):
Really a national holiday.
Speaker 7 (06:11):
It has to be so that people could be off
on Monday, and they don't have to after the super Bowl.
The super Bowl starts at six o'clock, which is earlier
than Sunday Night Football six o'clock.
Speaker 1 (06:22):
Even if the game went till ten o'clock. You can't
go to bed. You can't want You can't have a
couple of pops and some chicken wings and get up
and go to work. Come on, man, this is where
the NFL and people think it's bigger than it really is.
Nothing's changed here. I keep here the national holiday, the
(06:43):
super Bowl. It's a Sunday, it's in the winter. You're
not going anywhere. We're just eating chicken wings and drinking
a couple of beers. My god, no, no way, no how.
We don't need it to go to President's Day so
that you could go Oh super Bowl.
Speaker 3 (07:02):
It's a national holiday, it's a.
Speaker 1 (07:05):
Super Bowl Sunday. Can we leave it as it is?
Why why do we have to overinflate stuff and make
it like you would be doing the people of this
country a service? Because my god, they gotta get up
on Monday and go to work.
Speaker 3 (07:23):
After the super Bowl. You mean the super.
Speaker 1 (07:25):
Bowl that was a blowout and over in the first half,
Rob g the super Bowl was over. Go to bed
if you gotta go to work.
Speaker 3 (07:33):
You kidding?
Speaker 1 (07:34):
Who doesn't go to work because they watched the super
Bowl the.
Speaker 3 (07:37):
Day before the Who? Please?
Speaker 1 (07:42):
It's not nonsense and you're right, sound like a softball
question that the NFL does media people through to the
nbcum that to feed those questions.
Speaker 4 (07:52):
Hey, rogercndale's gonna come on, please answer and ask him
these questions. Listen most of the ways I want to
break this downst of all, he said, I just want
to get the fans that they need. Rob's I've never
heard the fans talk about an eighteen game. I've never
heard of fan man. I love the NFL. I can't wait,
baby we back, but oh I need an eighteenth game.
Speaker 3 (08:14):
Nobody said that.
Speaker 1 (08:15):
You just enjoy football you know, you know what I
would respect if the people there at NBC said to him, Roger,
can we.
Speaker 3 (08:22):
Be honest, isn't this eighteenth game?
Speaker 1 (08:24):
Because you can sell a regular season game more than
you sell a preseason game, which is local television and
not on national.
Speaker 3 (08:33):
Isn't this about money? It's a this about money?
Speaker 4 (08:36):
And then you followed up with whatever he says with,
come on, what about the health? That's an additional game
because we all know preseason games, nobody's playing that hard
and they're not trying to hurt. You know, everybody's trying
to make it out alive. A real regular season game.
This is cost to me to get the chance to
get to the postseason, get the playoffs, and get to
the super Bowl. So guys are all in. It's a
whole different thing. So health clearly went out the windows.
(08:58):
Just about that money ground, money ground, and we know that.
And this is where so we went from fourteen to
sixteen used to be seven twelve. That's why man twelve, fourteen, sixteen,
seventeen looks like eighteen?
Speaker 3 (09:13):
How long before twenty? You know what I'm like, when
does it stop? Right?
Speaker 4 (09:16):
And that's what made the game beautiful is the scarcity.
You know every game matters. You know, every week matters.
We're all in twenty games is coming up before you
know it. Now back to you, missus scruge McDuck, bah humbuck.
Let us get a Monday off. It's everybody doesn't have
seventy two days off, like you just went on the
world trip around the world.
Speaker 3 (09:36):
Can they get a Monday off and they don't ready
get Monday off? Can they double up?
Speaker 4 (09:41):
Can they go Super Bowl Sunday rolling the Monday I'm
off not you know, February eighth or something, whatever it is.
Speaker 3 (09:48):
And I gotta go to work.
Speaker 4 (09:49):
Let people enjoy their libations, their family, their friend. I
might have friends around the town. We can stay up,
we can read hash the Super Bowl. We can talk
about Janet Jackson, what happened at the Super halftime, We
can talk about Beyonce, how powerful she is she shut
off the halftime lights.
Speaker 3 (10:05):
And then maybe I.
Speaker 4 (10:06):
Want to go out throw a Super Bowl Sunday night party.
I don't want to go to work. Look at you,
I thought you were a man of the people. Now
people are trying to get what they want to get
to watch Super Bowl Sunday. Now I have to go
to work on Monday. It is a great marriage. Now
you're over here making us go to work.
Speaker 3 (10:23):
It makes no sense.
Speaker 1 (10:24):
Come on, you, the game starts you live in lan
don't tell me it starts at three o'clock in the afternoon.
Speaker 3 (10:30):
You can't go to work on Monday. I tell her.
Speaker 4 (10:32):
If he stopped pocket watching, you stop clockwatching. Don't don't
don't tell her if you can't go to the game.
Speaker 1 (10:37):
You can't go to work on Monday cause you watch
a three o'clock Super Bowl game on the West Coast.
Speaker 5 (10:42):
No, I can't make it to work on Monday because
I was pregaming at nine am Pacific. You go by
four pm Pacific for the three pm kickoff on the
West Coast.
Speaker 3 (10:51):
I'm already about nine drinks in.
Speaker 1 (10:53):
He says, Come on, now, you got an alcohol problem
and I got nothing to do with football and.
Speaker 4 (11:00):
Mat Okay, then fine, Then just make Sunday. Make Sunday
where the Monday afterwards everybody knows, like, you don't have
to come in till noon. If it's for all you
nine to five typical stuff, you don't have to come
into new ones.
Speaker 1 (11:13):
They already have what all the holidays. People get off
enough already.
Speaker 3 (11:16):
What is it? Why we can't what?
Speaker 1 (11:19):
Oh, you've traveled the world, but I'll take it off.
Speaker 4 (11:25):
In Europe they take all the time off. They have
four holiday right.
Speaker 3 (11:31):
I know. We got sidetracked though, you know.
Speaker 4 (11:33):
Uh.
Speaker 5 (11:33):
Roger Goodell's like, hey, you know, if we get the
eighteenth game, we can slide the super Bowl to presidents
they get the holiday.
Speaker 3 (11:39):
You know they could have done that anyways without an
eighteenth game.
Speaker 4 (11:42):
Wants you, yeah, make it another week, like, you know,
another bye week. I really want to do another week,
get it. There's a way to do that without that.
But that eighteenth game is crucial for him. And that's
the thing about it, man. The players need to stand
up if they really don't want it. Man up, you
don't want to and the quarterback players gonna stand up.
They can't even get healthcare and a pension plan.
Speaker 3 (12:02):
Why tell him to stand up? Rod? They stand up
and say even my you know I got Patrick.
Speaker 4 (12:07):
Rose, Oh man, you know, I just I mean, you know,
you know in eighteen games, you know, we don't want
to say, you know, saying what's the chess? We ain't
having it. Seventeen was the end all beyond.
Speaker 1 (12:17):
We love this so all you gotta do is your
Patrick Mahomes and one of these guys. They could play
eighteen games. I'm playing playing eighteen games this contract. You
get enough players to say that what you got Okay,
I'm not playing eighteen.
Speaker 4 (12:29):
And I hate how he tried to use the preseason.
You are fans, tell stay rather rotch. Well, they didn't
say they wanted more games. They just said if I
asked you, which one would you rather watch?
Speaker 3 (12:40):
Weeks five of real regular season or preseason? Well, you
say it like real season.
Speaker 4 (12:44):
Like that doesn't mean I need eighteen seventeen, eighteen, nineteen
twenty games. That's just simply means real football is more
important than I'd rather watch.
Speaker 1 (12:51):
Well, now that they don't even play in the preseason,
why would I want to watch it? They used to
play in the preseason. Yes, come on, that's the difference.
That's why nobody wants to watch it. They don't play.
Speaker 4 (13:02):
And you could at least look me in my eyes
after I saw you know your said your favorite team,
favorite quarterback play the first half and charged me one
hundred outs for parking. Oh, they I want to talk
about that. They want to talk about preseason. Same thag
on price same season.
Speaker 5 (13:14):
Well, look, y'all, guys are so right, you can't turn
left right now, here's the problem.
Speaker 3 (13:18):
And it's another conversation the other day.
Speaker 5 (13:20):
The two forward facing faces for the NFL players, Patrick
Mahomes Joe Burrow I have both already been on the
record of saying, if we're gonna get to eighteen games,
just give us nextra bye. So all the leverage they
would have had in these negotiations out the window.
Speaker 4 (13:35):
When your two your the four headed monster quarterback position,
and I get it because they play quarterback and they
don't get I think subconsciously they're like.
Speaker 3 (13:43):
I don't get hit that much. I just love the game.
Speaker 4 (13:44):
Yeah, you know, I have more chances the other guys
more chances to get Think about the other guys, I say,
Kwon Barkley's five hundred touches. Think about that, live man,
I got a block for your butt all game. Hell
with the heller right off the back hill.
Speaker 1 (13:57):
Game eight seven, seven ninety nine on Fox seven nine
nine six sixty three sixty.
Speaker 3 (14:02):
Nine on our holiday parade over here.
Speaker 1 (14:04):

Speaker 3 (15:55):
Did you really want eighteen games? You need that?
Speaker 4 (15:57):
As Rob Driggadala is saying, you're saying, the fans are
saying that. Also, do you need a holiday? You want
Super Bowl Sunday to be followed by then President days, you.
Speaker 1 (16:06):
Can get the day off, or just making a new
Monday holiday, you know what I mean? After the super Bowl,
just call it a new Monday. Yeah, that's what they're
talking about.
Speaker 3 (16:16):
You're supposed to have me not like it, but I'm
What'm mad at it?
Speaker 1 (16:19):
How about John and Reno. You're on the couple of
Fox Sports Radio. What's up John?
Speaker 9 (16:24):
What's going on?
Speaker 3 (16:25):
Guys? What's up? How are you?
Speaker 9 (16:28):
I'm doing awesome?
Speaker 3 (16:30):
Right?
Speaker 9 (16:30):
So these people are these.
Speaker 10 (16:32):
People are soft.
Speaker 9 (16:34):
I drink just as much on Monday nights and Thursday night,
and I go to work on Tuesday and Friday.
Speaker 1 (16:41):
And thank you, John, I'm with you. I don't even
understand where this comes from. That you need somehow, you know.
Speaker 4 (16:53):
They have to dance you anything, right, Like it's costing
you something, which is getting a free day so that.
Speaker 9 (17:00):
If you're gonna play, you gotta.
Speaker 3 (17:01):
Pay, brother, Robgi. These people gotta learn to take a
day off, Robgie. They gotta learn to take.
Speaker 5 (17:08):
If you're gonna play Monday, Thursday, Thursday, Saturday.
Speaker 3 (17:15):
Night, don't leave on Wednesday. Don't leave Wednesday.
Speaker 1 (17:19):
That's why I was yelling at him Hawaii when I
was on the beach.
Speaker 3 (17:27):
I'm just saying I was finally proud of you too.
I took some time. You took your time.
Speaker 1 (17:31):
Brother Andre in Massachusetts, you're on the odd couple of
Fox Sports Radio.
Speaker 3 (17:35):
What's up Drake?
Speaker 10 (17:37):
How you doing, Thanks for taking a call.
Speaker 2 (17:39):
Listen.
Speaker 10 (17:39):
No, the NFL, goodness, scraches. We gotta get this guy on.
He gotta control. NFL doesn't need to have the game
on Chris on President's Day, but they do need eighteen games.
That's certainly inevitable. Eighteen games, has to say, and that's
where they've been going. Frankly, Uh, why why eighteen games?
(18:00):
Because it's all about the mighty dollars. Roger Goodell has
his mind locked in on a twenty five billion dollar
annual evaluation. That's what he's getting to. By the way,
that's why Roger Goodell has a private jit for life
within his contracts because the money keeps going up. So
I think in terms of just.
Speaker 3 (18:16):
But what killed me about that?
Speaker 1 (18:18):
Seriously, and I'm being honest, it ain't just Roger Goodell. Dude,
I don't care who was in that job. Football gambling,
you're going to do well. I'm dead serious. Like they
could pay him whatever they want, and I get it.
He's the CEO of this big company. But it ain't
like he's a game change. He's a game changer. He
made something different, like gambling and football go hand in hand.
Speaker 3 (18:39):
I'm sorry, go ahead Drey point.
Speaker 10 (18:41):
Taking, but again just in terms of eighteen and he's
just moving that way, and Rob, you're consistent on this,
and it needs to be if the players, if the
NFL players will take a step back, which they've never done,
and say, look, it has to get to eighteen games.
We know it's going to get there, and hold the line.
They could get so much for themselves, all right, but
(19:02):
it's just a case study for the NFL players. But
then just workers and you know that standing together, and
so they're gonna end up getting steamrolled, getting petty privileges
in the deal, and then there'll be eighteen games and
nothing really much will change, uh, in terms of the
financial structure.
Speaker 4 (19:17):
You want eighteen games, Thank you for the callere. You
want eighteen games. I want guaranteed contracted.
Speaker 3 (19:21):
Let's do it. Let's do it, let's say it. Let's
see how serious you are. That's fair. Eighteen games got
you you.
Speaker 1 (19:27):
Other sports have guaranteed contract major sports in this country.
Speaker 4 (19:30):
And I need guaranteed contracts because you're making me. We
clearly of all agreed we're gonna throw health out the window. Cool,
then I'm signing on for this. I need guaranteed contract.
There you go.
Speaker 3 (19:40):
Steve in Denver, you're on the couple of Fox Sports Radio.
What's up, Steve, Hey.
Speaker 9 (19:45):
What's going on?
Speaker 11 (19:46):
Guys?
Speaker 9 (19:46):
I'm calling for h Well, I was calling for one reason,
but after listening to the last guy with the eighteen games,
now I have two reasons. Okay, So so what if
we make the Super Bowl on Saturday instead of Sunday,
then you get your day off on Sunday, and.
Speaker 3 (20:02):
Then, thank you, people would have a heart attack. Super
Bowl Saturday, Oh my god.
Speaker 9 (20:09):
And then the second thing is, if we're gonna do
eighteen games, you start to water down the significance of
the games. You know, when we had sixteen, they were
that much more important. When you look over at basketball
with eighty two games, then all of a sudden, those
games just really aren't that important. Early on in the season,
you start to water them down, and you know, if
you're going to have that many games, you probably need
to increase the roster. The roster what is it quantity?
Speaker 3 (20:34):
I guess, yeah, yeah, number fifty three to maybe sixty
three or something.
Speaker 9 (20:38):
Yeah, because of the injuries.
Speaker 4 (20:41):
Yeah, and you know what else are going to happen.
Thank you for the call Steve, I think what else
might happen? You're gonna get where they have quarterbacks, specifically
any player, but specifically quarterbacks start to sit out. Like
if you're the Chiefs again and you were up, you
know you would twelve and you would sit out another. Well,
you go, hey, Pat, You're gonna sit out a couple
of these because we too long, too far to go,
(21:02):
and nobody wants that and they've already seen it.
Speaker 1 (21:04):
Now go once or twice, you know, once one team,
a couple teams agree with that, they would pick that. No,
you know what, We're playing the Lions, so you can
set this one out.
Speaker 4 (21:12):
Oh, I'm sorry, document the Jags wrong. I was wrong, wrong,
cat wrong, feeling out here Monzi Blanos is gonna get
us with trending nut get scared good, don't be sure,
Tyler Dragon next.

not feeling it on those days. Luckily there's a leave
with just one pill of the lead provides up to
twelve hours of pain relief, so you can keep moving
us as directed. We are joined out as promised by
(21:56):
our guy, Tyler Dragon USA. Today NFL reporter Tyler was something.
Speaker 12 (21:59):
Man, Hey, I don't need any leave right now. I'm
not that old, but I'm doing good.
Speaker 3 (22:04):
How are y'all doing? Stop it? That's right?
Speaker 4 (22:08):
Does he know we hang with him for a week
a year? We know, we know he out here old
in these streets.
Speaker 3 (22:13):
I was hanging out with him at the big party
at te What were we what was that the House
of Blues, House of Blue. Yeah, that's what I know.
That's what I'm saying. You was in the streets too,
by the way.
Speaker 12 (22:22):
Yeah, but we were all in the streets.
Speaker 3 (22:24):
We were all. I tried to take myself out of it.
I was right with all y'all.
Speaker 1 (22:26):
We had We had a good Timeleland was good, all.
Speaker 4 (22:31):
Right, Tyler Man, Me and Rod been talking about it
for the last hour.
Speaker 3 (22:34):
Know how many weeks?
Speaker 4 (22:35):
Micah, now a packer, We told you you did say it.
You did say it just your initial thoughts of the
trade happening, Were you in favor of it? Did you
think it was gonna happen? And then now Micah uh,
with this new home of the Packers, would expect well.
Speaker 12 (22:51):
I was certainly surprised. I was hearing from Micah's camp
at the beginning of the off season that this deal
was going to get done. He was going to re
sign with the Cowboys and be the highest paid non
quarterback in NFL history. So I was certainly surprised that
Jerry Jones elected to trade Parsons. I mean, the Cowboys
got worse, no matter how Jones is trying to spin it,
(23:14):
they got worse, And to me, its signals that they
are rebuilding. You don't trade your best overall player and
expect to get better in the short term. Now, we'll
see how those draft picks turn out and next year
in the year after that. But the Cowboys, they're probably
fighting with the New York Giants with the worst team
in the NFCST Now, as far as the Green Bay Packers,
(23:38):
I believe. I mean, they had one of the worst
pass rush units in the NFL last season, and they
not only at Michael Parsons, but he's probably the best
edge rusher that most consistent edg rushers since twenty twenty
one stats say, so it's a huge addition for them obviously.
I think this puts them at the top of the
(23:59):
pack North with the Detroit Lions, and they are certainly
contender in the NFC.
Speaker 1 (24:05):
So will Michael Parsons get any sacks in the playoffs though?
Because he only has one when Tom Brady blew out
his spike and tripped over himself and Michaeh fell on
top of him. He has one postseason sack. So how
important will it be for Micah to perform in the
playoff games? In those games for Green Bay?
Speaker 12 (24:26):
Yeah, it's going to be extremely important, and I hear you,
and Micah knows that as well. He said in his
initial press conference in Green Bay. He knows that this
contract comes with expectations, not only the highest paid defensive player,
but the highest paid non quarterback in NFL history. So
he knows that there's pressure that comes with that type
(24:47):
of contract situation, and I believe he has that type
of mindset. And let's face it, there are not a
lot of distractions in Green Bay, so he's going to
focus on football and there's not going to be a
lot of outside hoopla, and he's not going to do
his podcast every single week this season anymore. So he's
focused on football. He has his back allegedly better, so
(25:11):
I think he's going to have a really good season.
Speaker 4 (25:14):
Tyler dragging our guests USA Today, NFL reporter on with
the AACAB Robin Kelvin on a worship Wednesday. Let me
go to the game that Derek is gonna be playing against.
I'll tell you what if you were trying to figure
out something and then no more of Micah Era running
up against the Eagles is not the way you'd want
to start that. They got that one first game of
the season Thursday Night Football?
Speaker 3 (25:31):
Are they are?
Speaker 4 (25:32):
And for hurting with the Eagles? And then flip side
of that, the Eagles, how do you make of them?
Speaker 3 (25:37):
Change?
Speaker 4 (25:37):
We don't even talk about them. They're super ranting Super
Bowl champons and nobody feel like he even talks.
Speaker 3 (25:40):
About the Eagles.
Speaker 5 (25:42):
Yeah.
Speaker 12 (25:42):
I think the Eagles are going to beat the Cowboys handily.
I have them winning by a ten plus tomorrow. I
don't think the game is going to be very close.
Speaker 2 (25:50):
The Eagles.
Speaker 12 (25:51):
They're loaded again. Yes, they lost some talent on the
defensive side of the football, but they're returning ten of
eleven starters on offense, and they pretty much retool on offense.
They replenish their old veterans with some new players coming in.
So I expect the Eagles to not only win the
NFC East, but I have them representing the NFC in
(26:13):
the Super Bowl. So that's soll high. I think of
the Eagles.
Speaker 1 (26:17):
That was last year's movie. I'm not so sure. I
just want you to know. I think they're going to
lose to the Cowboys in Week one. I do Wait,
let's bet wings on it. Let's do it all right,
we got this. Do you meet twenty twenty five or
you're talking about twenty twenty seven.
Speaker 3 (26:33):
I'm talking about tomorrowmorrow, Yes, tomorrow. I'm picking.
Speaker 1 (26:37):
So you just want to give him. No, I'm picking now.
I'm getting how many points is it, robb G? How
many points in that game? We'll find out we'll get
the spread in this. No, I'm not because it's with
the spread.
Speaker 3 (26:46):
Actually, hold on, I think I'm gonna have it right here.
Speaker 9 (26:48):
We're doing straight up.
Speaker 1 (26:49):
No, no, no, we always do spreads. I gotta get
the spread. I got to get my six and a
half points or whatever. They what is it?
Speaker 3 (26:54):
Do we know? What is it? Eight and a half.
I'm taking the eight and a half points.
Speaker 12 (26:58):
No, no, I'm not giving you. I'll give you five.
Speaker 1 (27:02):
You I forget it. Then, all right, let me ask
you about that the Chiefs. I knew you were going
to back down then. I mean Chiefs and the Chargers
on Friday. What is that game is in Brazil?
Speaker 12 (27:12):
Right?
Speaker 3 (27:12):
Yeah, it's in Brazil, Brazil. Yeah, give me a preview
on that one.
Speaker 12 (27:16):
Well, the Chiefs that beat the Chargers seven straight times.
I don't expect anything different come Friday. It's we're saying
the NFL game is going to be on Friday. But
the Chiefs are motivated this year. We all know they
were embarrassed in New Orleans and the Super Bowl. They
have replenished their offensive line. I like Josh Simmons at
the left tackle. I think he's gonna be a tremendous
(27:37):
edition in Kansas City. And then Xavier Worthy Hollywood Brown. Yes,
they're going to be without where she Rice for the
six games, but they're receiving corps Everywhethy's a year older
in the system, and I think he's going to do
really well in Kansas City year in year two. And
then don't forget about their defense. Kansas City had the
top ten defense last year. They pretty much bringing back
(27:59):
all all their UH standout players. So yeah, at Kansas City,
they've won the AFC West for what nine years in
a row. I don't expect that to change either. And
they've had the Chargers numbers for the last few seasons
and that's not going to change, no matter if it's
in North America, South America, Korea, no matter where it is,
the Chiefs are still better than that.
Speaker 3 (28:20):
I like the Chargers in that game too. Are you
serious too? Yes?
Speaker 4 (28:26):
What's the spread in that game? Rob g He just
wants all points. Go man up game for the way,
straight up?
Speaker 3 (28:33):
What will happen?
Speaker 1 (28:34):
It's three points. It's not even like a blowout. You
know why because last year the Chiefs got lucky in
a lot of games. It's gonna switch this year. Remember
what I told you.
Speaker 3 (28:42):
And this is what's gonna switch. And the odds are guys,
it's gonna switch.
Speaker 1 (28:45):
That's like like Kelvin thought like because the Lions lost
in the NFC championship game the year before that favor.
That's what it was, right, That's what I switched.
Speaker 4 (28:56):
Just have my wings ready because unlike Tyler, I didn't
back down for my bet.
Speaker 1 (28:59):
All right, tell me about tell me about the Lions.
I think they're taking a step back. I got them
not making the playoffs.
Speaker 12 (29:06):
Well, I know you are a Lions pater.
Speaker 2 (29:10):
What are you talking about.
Speaker 1 (29:11):
I have nothing against the Lions. I'm just giving you
my fond I've been covering the Leak since nineteen o.
Speaker 2 (29:16):
Seven, so I will give you this.
Speaker 12 (29:20):
Their offensive line is going to take a step back.
They lost their center. Uh, they're replacing one of their guards,
so their interior, their aligned is not going to be
as strong as that last season. But they still have
one of the best tackle tandems in the league and
Decker and Toennay Seol and then offensively, they have their quarterbacks,
(29:40):
so they're still going to have a high powered offense.
And the key for the Lions is can they stay healthy,
especially down the stretch and come postseason time. We know
they were decimated by injuries. Aiden Hutcheson's coming back. He's
my comeback Player of the Year candidate. He was in
a running for Defensive Player of the Year before he
got hurt. So I don't believe they're going to take
(30:01):
a step back. I feel like your.
Speaker 3 (30:03):
New coordinators don't scare you at all, Tyler. I'm just
asking at.
Speaker 12 (30:06):
All because they were there last year and so they're
going to continue. They're not going to change everything. They're
not going to think they're the smartest person in the room.
They're going to hamplement, keep their same system, keep their
same scheme, and they're still going to be really good.
Speaker 3 (30:20):
Yeah, I mean, you just I mean I could have
said it better. I don't know. Let me ask you this.
Give give me.
Speaker 4 (30:28):
We have our picks here at the job. Here, we
got our pigs. We've got AFC, NFC super Bowl. One
of the categories kind of like give me a surprise.
Think a random thing you think that is going to
happen this year. What do you think it could be
a player for you, It could be to just give
me something you kind of say. And I also keeping
my eye on this. Justin Field's going to throw eight
passes completed in a row.
Speaker 12 (30:48):
I feel like the forty nine ers are being underlooked because, yes,
they were injured last year. They had a down year,
but they have the easiest strength to schedule in the NFL.
It would not surprise me if they contended with the
Rams to win a the division and sneak in the
playoffs and maybe even win the NFC West. And I
(31:09):
also believe, I know Travis Hunter is a number two cornerback.
He's a backup cornerback and listed as a starting wide receiver.
But I feel like towards the middle of the season,
the Jaguars are going to focus in on him as
a cornerback. I feel like that's his natural position and
he's going to win Defensive Rookie of the Year.
Speaker 4 (31:30):
All right, listen, I have to see you bout that.
I mean, a lot of people can still high on
the Super Bowl last year.
Speaker 3 (31:37):
Tyler.
Speaker 12 (31:38):
Who did I have in the Super Bowl last year?
I believe man, that you're taking me back. I believe
I had the Chiefs and did I have the Eagle?
Speaker 11 (31:48):
I think I did have the Yeah, I picked the
Super Bowl, but I did pick the Chiefs beating the Eagles. Okay,
this year, this year, it's already out in the USA today,
so I can tell you I have the Eagles and
the Ravens and I have the Ravens winning super Bowl.
Speaker 3 (32:04):
All right, finally got one right? Who you got? You
got your I'm not ready yet. Okay, we'll get it together,
all right.
Speaker 11 (32:09):
What are you rated?
Speaker 3 (32:10):
Tomorrow? Tomorrow? We'll have it tomorrow.
Speaker 5 (32:13):
Now.
Speaker 3 (32:13):
You gotta listen to the couple tomorrow for our NFL
drop it tomorrow. We know the Lions, we know the
Chiefs ain't on there already. That goes without That means
the only black quarterback he likes, Lamar Jackson being there.
Speaker 12 (32:24):
All right, Tyler, heyback NFL record.
Speaker 3 (32:28):
That's unbelievable.
Speaker 4 (32:29):
Sixteen and they got negative sixteen coaches. All right, thank you, Tyler,
appreciate you half a good one, all right, buddy, appreciated
quarterbacks turn around like dat.
Speaker 3 (32:40):
I can't get a coach and the one that looked
like me, my goodness,
