Speaker 1 (01:27):
Pickoff so we got a lot to get to in
this final hour of the program, Alex, what do you got?
Speaker 5 (01:33):
So?
Speaker 6 (01:33):
Shout out to Bobo. He was just here.
Speaker 7 (01:35):
Yes, yeah, he's a walking HR violation, we'd like to say.
And he just made me aware of something that I
think will make both of you sick. He said, I've
never felt so broken my life. I was just watching
the Eddie Murphy documentary. I guess it's on Netflix. Eddie
Murphy was literally in an interview and he looks around.
Speaker 6 (01:53):
He say, are you guys all cold?
Speaker 8 (01:55):
Here?
Speaker 7 (01:55):
Let me close my roof and goes and pushes a
button rob and his roof closes.
Speaker 2 (02:00):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (02:01):
Yeah, And I'm gonna say this please uh.
Speaker 1 (02:04):
To me, it makes total sense when people question why
people spend the money they spend, you know what I mean,
instead of happening, it's because you can't take it with you.
You can't spend it all, so you wind up that's
why they have four houses. And you go like this
makes no sense. Oh, we're only there for two weekends
or two weeks a year, but seriously, but you make
(02:27):
so much money that you can't possibly spend it all.
And even if you're gonna leave a ton to your
kids and they're still gonna have plenty of money. And
I'm sure there must be a race in life to
spend as much money as you can because you don't
know when your your final days are here.
Speaker 4 (02:46):
So I think you go on the ridiculous? Am I right?
Speaker 9 (02:49):
They said he saw I think it was share. He
was share. If I'm not mistaken, it was shared.
Speaker 4 (02:53):
She has been seeing it for sixty years.
Speaker 9 (02:55):
Yeah, he was like, oh, that's kind of crazy. He
saw the crib with the retractable ruies.
Speaker 2 (02:59):
I got it. I gotta get that.
Speaker 9 (03:00):
So he when he built this house, he built in
the retracted I watched the documentary.
Speaker 2 (03:04):
It's I ain't gonna lie. Its kind of.
Speaker 9 (03:05):
Crazy, like the doc or the house. The doc yet
it was it was. If you're a fan of his,
enjoy it. They left a lot to be desired. He
didn't fully get too deep into some things.
Speaker 1 (03:16):
Most of these are most of these are bad, and
I'm gonna tell you why. Because they're not Alex. They're
not independently produced. He was fully involved, so they leave
out like like when they do a documentary on your
life and it's an independent documentary.
Speaker 9 (03:33):
They touch on everything they touch on anything. Let's just
say they didn't touch on a couple of things. You
kind of know where I'm.
Speaker 1 (03:38):
Going, you know what I mean, not that was left
out or this was left out, or.
Speaker 2 (03:43):
And they didn't push even go ahead rock.
Speaker 1 (03:45):
No, no, no, I'm just saying, And that's the issue I
have with these self produced documentaries.
Speaker 4 (03:49):
They become propaganda provda yeah wow.
Speaker 9 (03:53):
And they didn't even push in things that aren't controversial.
Just more so, I would love to hear more insight.
You could tell how much his brother Charlie Murphy into him.
So there's a part where he mentioned obviously throughout all
we were growing up, we were growing up, this, that
and the other. And they use a lot of old
clips to Charlie talking about his brother Eddie. But once
they finally get to Eddie having to say something, he
just kind of goes like, man, I really love my
(04:14):
brother and I wish he was You could tell he
was like, I don't want to touch like that's so
deep and hurtful.
Speaker 2 (04:19):
I want to touch that.
Speaker 9 (04:19):
Whereas to your point, Rob, if it's like a you
go a little deeper into things at an independent doc. So,
but it was good if you're a fan of his
very nostalgic. They take you through you know, his his run,
so you'll you'll get the the star. Definitely worth the watch.
Don't think it was the greatest doc ever.
Speaker 1 (04:33):
I just I don't understand and I get part of it.
Like you know, you want to be in a positive light.
But once you once you get into it and you
want to tell your real life story, there's nothing but
trials and tribulation. Nobody know what documentary are you watching
where you had a smooth ride and there was no
low moments or nothing bad happened, you know what I mean?
And a documentary about my life, they're gonna take you
(04:55):
through the whole thing esbn RG three. That's a part
of the part of the story. It's not the whole story, right,
But you don't run from that, do you know what
I mean. It's a part of the story.
Speaker 9 (05:05):
Yeah, there's some run And I also would a lover
in the stage. And it's almost like Alex he has
such great movies that they hit it so quick, like
oh yeah, coming to America trade play, we did a
little bit of how Move On?
Speaker 2 (05:16):
Like no, you can spend.
Speaker 9 (05:17):
Fifteen minutes on trading places fifteen minutes of Coming to America.
So it was like an hour and forty minute. It
could have been a two or three parter. One one
once is all about just his movies, just straight over.
Speaker 2 (05:29):
This whole episode is about the movies.
Speaker 4 (05:30):
You know, the movie business.
Speaker 1 (05:32):
The other one they've been a live and about growing
up in New York and what that was like.
Speaker 2 (05:38):
And they touched on a bit.
Speaker 9 (05:40):
But like he's I guess he's so complex and so
great that you he deserved more time.
Speaker 2 (05:45):
Other people get two three you know, partners.
Speaker 9 (05:47):
It's like how they get two three parties and Eddie
Murphield and got a one episode about an hour and
forty minutes. Definitely worth the watch though, just with the nostalgia.
Speaker 2 (05:55):
Of it all.
Speaker 1 (05:56):
All right, Just that's interesting. Just about the roof opening
is such a flax.
Speaker 4 (06:05):
He's like, yo, yeah, let me let me do that.
Speaker 2 (06:09):
Insane.
Speaker 1 (06:10):
I thought he was going to go to the clapper
and have the heat, you know.
Speaker 6 (06:13):
Turn to the rivers and say he did go to
the clap.
Speaker 4 (06:17):
Oh he did go to the clod.
Speaker 2 (06:21):
A yo yourself, All right, here we go.
Speaker 1 (06:25):
Rams Uh you've heard Steve the saga all night, talk
about it in the update about it.
Speaker 4 (06:32):
The Rams ah, that's why we were gonna bring you down.
Speaker 1 (06:35):
The Rams. They are not rusting starters. Despite clenching his
sixth seed, they can't move right. They got the six seed.
You would think Matthew Stafford's thirty seven going on sixty,
you know what I mean, Like you would go like,
maybe we shouldn't have men there. Whatever it is, No,
the starters are playing. Kelvin, are you cool with this?
Speaker 9 (06:55):
I am cool, And I'll tell you why. I'm looking
at the last four or five game answer them, so
I'll walk you through it. They lose to the Panthers
on November thirtieth. Now, the Panthers have had a bad
game in that one. That was that game that kind
of started him having a few couple of bad games. Then,
of course they beat the Cardinals. But then they beat
the Lions. But that was a shootout, and I was there.
(07:17):
Lions got the ball back with a chance to you know,
go down and tie with like twenty five seconds. But
it was a shootout, so your your defense points didn't.
Speaker 2 (07:26):
It was just a run out of time.
Speaker 9 (07:27):
But my point is, so you're looking at the game,
you're like, wo okay, we we wanted but ooh, that
was a little tight. Then you lose that crazy wild
one to the Seahawks, then you lose to the Falcons,
and now obviously you got the Cardinals, and I think
they want to right the ship.
Speaker 2 (07:42):
They want to say, let's get things going.
Speaker 9 (07:44):
Let's beat the Cardinals like we should, like we did back,
you know, a halfull of weeks ago when they beat
them forty five seventeen on December seventh. Let's get this
ball roller, let's run the ball again. Let's get Matthew
Stafford turnover free. Let's let's go out there and execute
the weight we're supposed to. They don't want to sit, guys,
And the last time the starters were out there, they
lost two in a row to the Seahawks and to
(08:06):
the Falcons. And I think they want to get that
bad taste out their mouth, want to get flowing how
they were earlier in the season, so they can go
into it with some momentum and some mojo because you
talked about it earlier. A lot of times. You look
at the Giants two Super bowls with ELI. They weren't
great those seasons, but they kind of got it going
at the right time. The Steelers have done that one time,
got it going at the right time, and it happens.
Speaker 2 (08:27):
You don't want to come in floundering.
Speaker 9 (08:29):
Starters didn't play last week, and you're just coming off
two losses.
Speaker 2 (08:33):
Starters didn't play, and you're rolling to.
Speaker 9 (08:35):
The playoffs, especially in the NFC where there are still
a handful of good teams, including two in your own
division with the Seahawks and the forty nine ers who
are rolling in, specifically the forty nine ers. So I
think that's what he's trying to avoid, trying to get
to get the flow going, get some energy back, get
some life back, get a win, feel good about yourself,
rolling to the postseason roup.
Speaker 1 (08:55):
And if they lose, what would say they bet not losing,
say they lose that game, Well, if they lose that game,
they're definitely shook it.
Speaker 9 (09:04):
They are shook if going into the postseason, because I'm
telling you that their own division, the Seahawks and the
forty nine ers are playing some especially the forty nine ers.
Speaker 1 (09:13):
I just think you got an older quarterback. I'm not
just not so sure about playing Stafford. God forbid, something
happens to him. You know what I mean, You can't
move up. I get it. If you were playing for something,
an older quarterback. Let everybody get healthy. Like winning beating
the Cardinals is not going to mean the difference between
(09:34):
what you do in the postseason. It's just you could
go ahead and beat the Cardinals, right, and then still
come out and lay an egg on the road in
your first postseason game. So I think if somebody's banged
up or they need an extra week off before, remember
this is not taking this week off and you have
(09:54):
a bye.
Speaker 4 (09:55):
You're playing right away, so it's not the same.
Speaker 1 (09:58):
I don't think it's good when you have a bye
and then you're like three weeks from playing, do you
know what I mean? I think that can hurt you
where you get rusty a little bit and it's three weeks.
But I don't I'm not positive why they're doing this
and hopefully nobody gets hurt, and that would be my
biggest concern, especially again Stafford's thirty seven.
Speaker 4 (10:22):
Do you want him to get rocked?
Speaker 2 (10:23):
You know, I throw this at you the rock.
Speaker 9 (10:26):
I think Sean McVay also wants to get his defense
going to listen to this, listen to their last three games.
You beat the Lions, but the Lions put up thirty
four in your head. The very next game, you lose
to the Seahawks. They put thirty eight on yous, yes,
and then you lose to the Falcons and twenty seven,
which that's a lot of points for a Falcons.
Speaker 4 (10:45):
Should be like, we should have beaten them six to nine,
coming in right, right, we.
Speaker 9 (10:48):
Should have beaten them twenty four to thirteen. It's kind
of that kind of game is what it should have been.
Instead you lose twenty seven to twenty four. So I
think you're trying to get the defense just to get
some confidence back. And again, it's not that beating the
Cardinals is like whoa, we beat the amazing team. It's
more so, okay, what do we need to work on?
Where are we blocking better to get the running game going?
Where are we out here? Like I said, the face.
Speaker 1 (11:07):
Beating them, I'm just saying, like that doesn't give you anything.
Speaker 4 (11:11):
You're not gonna face anybody. I say, you don't.
Speaker 9 (11:13):
You lose rob you put a backups in. Now, you
would have lost three straight. You get what I'm saying,
But you know the last six.
Speaker 1 (11:22):
But you know that putting the backups, I'm just saying,
I don't know what you get any juice from beating
the Cardinals and you could lose, and then what would
be your rallying cry?
Speaker 4 (11:32):
Forget about the regular season? Now we're in the postseed.
Speaker 2 (11:35):
Yeah, that's what we have to do. We have to
hate that count. We're in the tournament. Blah blah blah.
Speaker 1 (11:39):
We hear zero zero. That's what I'm trying to say.
That would be your argument right away. It's like, oh, okay, uh,
you know that doesn't matter. Just as long as we're
in the tournament, that's all that matters. And then once
we get in there, we have a chance.
Speaker 2 (11:51):
I think they know rob there. And again, the AFC
is more open.
Speaker 9 (11:54):
We've talked about it before, we have some of our
guests over the last week or two. AFC is one
of those. Man, you know, it could be the Texans,
It's not crazy. Okay, yeah, it definitely could be the Patriot. Okay,
why not the the the Broncos. They've won like eleven
out of twelve, So you're kind of like, I don't know,
Josh Allen, isn't funny. The NFC has some teams, man
as much as we talk about, but Eagles are sitting
here eleven and five.
Speaker 2 (12:15):
You know what, I mean you just.
Speaker 9 (12:17):
Sean King already was like, they're gonna win again. The
Seahawks are good, not great, but they're good. The forty
nine ers have been there before, They've gotten a couple
of Super Bowls, and then you got whoever's gonna end up,
you know, coming out the NFC North or I'm sorry,
NFC South. So my point is, I think you just
don't want to go in. Not not like we can't
go out looking this bad. We want to get a
(12:38):
w get some momentum, get some good juju going your way.
That's my interpretation because the last couple of seasons he
actually has rested his guys, but I think this season.
Speaker 2 (12:48):
He's like, nah, I don't like the way we look
right now.
Speaker 4 (12:50):
Okay, could be bad juju if you lose to the
Cardinals too.
Speaker 1 (12:53):
Eight seven ninety nine on the Fog, you say that,
I'm just saying, like, damn, nothing to play.
Speaker 4 (12:58):
They playing for a box.
Speaker 2 (13:00):
Next year, and just and and to mess you up
a little.
Speaker 4 (13:02):
Bit exactly eight seven seven ninety nine on Fox.
Speaker 1 (13:05):
You want to hear from you rams doing the right
thing of playing their starters, even though they can't improve
their seating for the NFL playoffs.
Speaker 4 (13:14):
Kelvin thinks is a great idea. I think it's a mistake.
Speaker 1 (13:17):
I think you just got to be like, hey, get
let us get ready, let us get all healthy, let.
Speaker 4 (13:22):
Everybody be good, and we gotta be ready to roll.
Speaker 1 (13:25):
It's going to be a hard road, three straight road
games even for a chance to get there. So why
not give your starters a rest and give them an
opportunity to get ready for.
Speaker 4 (13:35):
This big run.
Speaker 1 (13:36):
If you're not gonna be at home, you're going to
be traveling. There's a lot of stuff going on there.

We know your home government, Junior, Junior, So you hit
us up by the way.
Speaker 2 (15:52):
Eight seven, seven ninety nine On Fox.
Speaker 9 (15:53):
Rams decided to play the starters against the Cardinals this week.
I say they're trying to get their mojo back. They've
been strug I've only lost a couple of games in
a row having looked great. They're trying to get something
here go ahead in the postseason. Rob said, why risk it?
It's not worth it. Eight seven, seven ninety nine on Fox.
Speaker 1 (16:09):
Who we got Max in Georgia? A guy you're on
the odd Couple of Fox Sports Radio. Happy New Year, Max,
be New Year by.
Speaker 12 (16:17):
Fellas, Happy New Year, Odd couple running it through another year.
Congrats fellows, appreciate you listen. So I'm I'm tore between
the two of you, because my right side of my
brain says go with Rob. The left side says roll
the dice. You know, too much ress can be a
bad thing. The Rams need the momentum going into playoffs.
They need the reps. Uh, you really need a tune
(16:39):
up game.
Speaker 5 (16:40):
You know.
Speaker 12 (16:40):
The Falcons should have been that as well, they weren't.
I think the Cardinals are another great applicant for that.
And lastly with a quote, you know, well, when we
face our fears, we can find our freedom, and I
think the Rams define that freedom.
Speaker 1 (16:54):
I go, I hear you, Max, one thing. Let me
just sash you Max real quick. What happens if they lose?
Like like seriously or or like like to me, like
you don't win? Oh, you should have beat the Falcons.
I mean you should have beat the Cardinals.
Speaker 4 (17:08):
Do you know what I mean? Like, what do you
really get out of that?
Speaker 12 (17:11):
They're taking a risk by exposing themselves in the playoff run.
Speaker 8 (17:14):
I get it.
Speaker 12 (17:15):
I mean, if they can't win this game, fellas, I
would say, definitely, don't bet the house on the Rams.
Speaker 4 (17:19):
Right, Okay, appreciate it, man, I appreciate it.
Speaker 5 (17:23):
Man.
Speaker 2 (17:23):
Happy to year to you.
Speaker 8 (17:24):
All right.
Speaker 1 (17:25):
What about Russ in Woodland Hills, California. You're on the
odd couple of Fox Sports Radio out here.
Speaker 4 (17:30):
What's up, Russ?
Speaker 11 (17:32):
How you doing, gentlemen?
Speaker 8 (17:33):
Rob?
Speaker 13 (17:34):
I love that you love baseball, man, Okay, you.
Speaker 4 (17:37):
Already know this show, The Odd Couple.
Speaker 1 (17:39):
We talk more Major League Baseball than any other national show.
Speaker 12 (17:43):
You know that, absolutely, thank you.
Speaker 2 (17:47):
I am.
Speaker 11 (17:48):
I am within walking distance of the Rams practice facility.
Speaker 2 (17:51):
Oh yeah, I just drove the other day.
Speaker 4 (17:53):
Okay, and my gym.
Speaker 11 (17:56):
I can oversee their their their playing field when I'm
to gym on the second floor, so I'm right there
by them. I am so disappointed in the results that
they've had recently that I feel like McVeigh has really
made some tactical errors. Blowing a thirty to fourteen lead.
(18:18):
I don't believe a coach like Shanahan would have blown that.
I believe that Lafleur and McVeigh have really done a
disservice to their credibility the last few weeks.
Speaker 9 (18:33):
Okay, yeah, because Floor as well.
Speaker 8 (18:38):
Well.
Speaker 4 (18:38):
Lafloor has never won any big games.
Speaker 2 (18:39):
That's what I'm saying.
Speaker 9 (18:40):
McVeigh has a Super Bowl, two Super Bowl appearances in
one wing.
Speaker 4 (18:43):
My goodness, right, But I get what you're saying.
Speaker 1 (18:46):
It's disappointing that you could have been where they were.
Speaker 4 (18:49):
You know what I mean, Kelvin and they you are.
It is eleven five, but it's not just that it's.
Speaker 1 (18:58):
The number one seed where you have a buy and
two home games.
Speaker 4 (19:02):
You know what I mean, it's a bigger You would
have been the favorites. And talking about Rams blew my mind.
Speaker 11 (19:07):
Blew my mind that they blew that game to Seattle
being that far ahead. It blew my mind that they
got blown out by the stoppings. That's on the coaches,
no doubt.
Speaker 4 (19:18):
All right, appreciate that.
Speaker 1 (19:20):
How about Tim in Illinois, You're in the odd couple
of Fox Sports Radio. What's up, Tim?
Speaker 8 (19:26):
Marry New Year fellows?
Speaker 4 (19:28):
My man marry.
Speaker 8 (19:33):
Anyhow well, anyhow, I believe it'd be a good get
that game for the Rams. Uh. They don't have to
play them starters the whole game, you know, half whatever.
Just you don't look better? Uh and wob your birthday
is January tenth. Yes, go do your favorite thing. If
(19:56):
you're going to take a trip, go find you a
Phill seventy six and bird Cheek.
Speaker 2 (20:04):
Wow, Alex, we need that.
Speaker 9 (20:09):
Wow.
Speaker 2 (20:11):
Oh man, that is funny.
Speaker 9 (20:12):
Rob you out here doing It's just Bear Cheek's bathroom
gas station.
Speaker 4 (20:16):
But I didn't. I didn't touch to see them. I'm hovering. No,
we do not believe in your answer.
Speaker 2 (20:22):
You like that? You know how hard that is. We
don't trust your hamstrings.
Speaker 4 (20:27):
I'm off the chair right, I'm hovering, Rob.
Speaker 9 (20:30):
I sit back to you every day. I see you
follow that chair twice a week.
Speaker 2 (20:33):
Are you kidding me? You think I believe anything you're
talking about?
Speaker 4 (20:37):
Unbelievable some of UFO. I hover. That's how I'm gonna cook.
Speaker 1 (20:40):
That's how must My sixty second birthday is at Phillip
seventy six.
Speaker 6 (20:45):
Yes you are, man.
Speaker 2 (20:46):
I thought he was saying, going to a different establishment.
Speaker 1 (20:49):
Live in there, Adam, Adam and d C. You're on
the couple of Fox Sports Radio. What's up Adam?
Speaker 13 (20:54):
Hey man, my guys, my favorite radio station.
Speaker 5 (20:57):
Hey, Rob, I don't.
Speaker 13 (20:58):
Call that much to move, but I'm always lifting, not
always you want to?
Speaker 5 (21:02):
Kevin be killing it? Hey, Kevin.
Speaker 13 (21:03):
I could tell he missed you, man, because he happy
he is.
Speaker 5 (21:05):
Don't know what today?
Speaker 2 (21:07):
Because I have he says, you're happy you missed me.
You won't. He won't tell me that, though, but I
hear you.
Speaker 13 (21:13):
Listen, guys. As as a resident nine is playing out
here in DC, I hope mas.
Speaker 5 (21:18):
They keep playing.
Speaker 13 (21:18):
All his players keep on playing. Everybody but just playing
the whole game. Don't worry about this. That's all we need.
Speaker 1 (21:25):
Man he man, hey Adam, we appreciate that, Thank you,
Mel doubt.
Speaker 9 (21:30):
Here's the thing, though, Rob Adam, and here's listen. Adam's
team has won sixth straight. The Seahawks have won six
strip playing rams have lost too straight.
Speaker 2 (21:41):
But no, no, my point is due.
Speaker 9 (21:43):
He's seeing the guys who's probably feeling like those are
the teams in the NFC. I gotta obviously the Eagles too,
but I gotta worry about it. They have won sixth straight,
they're playing, they're hot. You see party in the team,
and he's like, man, we can't be losers of two straight.
Don't play our starters. Then go in to it, and
I think he's just trying to right and right the ship.
Speaker 1 (22:01):
All right, Hey James in Detroit, you're on the odd
couple of Fox Sports Radio.
Speaker 4 (22:06):
What's up?
Speaker 1 (22:06):
James?
Speaker 5 (22:08):
Hey? Rob?
Speaker 4 (22:09):
How are you?
Speaker 8 (22:12):
Dude?
Speaker 13 (22:13):
Rob?
Speaker 5 (22:13):
You know they just trying to get Matt Staffy from.
Speaker 1 (22:16):
Stats stat Patford. That's right, you know what they're like.
They're playing the card news. Let them load up to
try to salvage, to try James to try to salvage
the MVP race.
Speaker 4 (22:27):
But if he has three picks, it's gonna hurt him.
Speaker 13 (22:31):
Yeah, but you know he gonna throw some one yard
touchdown passes.
Speaker 4 (22:36):
You know, I know I watched his whole career. I've
watched the whole career.
Speaker 1 (22:42):
Thanks James im from Detroit.
Speaker 13 (22:44):
I know what it is.
Speaker 2 (22:46):
My man.
Speaker 9 (22:46):
Appreciate yall acting like he went throwing Bob's at Calvin Johnson.
Speaker 2 (22:50):
I ain't listening the r uh.
Speaker 4 (22:52):
Thanks.
Speaker 1 (22:53):
Let's go to Tyrone and Tacoma. You're on the Oyd
couple of Fox Sports Radio. What's up, Tyrone, new year,
Rob Calvin and the crew.
Speaker 5 (23:05):
Yeah, I give the extra shout out to Calvin so
he don't be bouncing like Kivin.
Speaker 4 (23:14):
That's right.
Speaker 2 (23:15):
They better not call me like Rob g says, offered
me one dollar more.
Speaker 1 (23:18):
Rob, Hey, it'll be the worst mistake of your life.
Speaker 4 (23:23):
Don't leave the show. God that other guy who used
to be on the show, is he still around?
Speaker 2 (23:28):
Yeah, he's doing all right, doing all right.
Speaker 9 (23:31):
I just say, Rob, I see he got some new
hair on that new colored dye.
Speaker 2 (23:35):
He doing good?
Speaker 4 (23:35):
All right? Okay, all right, what you got Tyrone?
Speaker 3 (23:39):
Well, if you look at the college football what is
it for the teams that had to buy.
Speaker 2 (23:44):
One and seven?
Speaker 1 (23:47):
Yeah, but they're not it's not a buye. Those schools
were off. They missed twenty five days.
Speaker 8 (23:52):
So I understand that, Bill, Bill, you want your team
prepared when you're going into the playoffs. I don't know
that's me.
Speaker 4 (23:59):
I mean, hey, but I'm asking you this, tyrone, just seriously.
Speaker 1 (24:02):
So they play and they lose and Stafford Gaft's two
picks and they lose the game. What No, I'm just
asking I'm giving you the extreme scenario. How do you
use that going into the playoffs. I'm just gonna ask you,
how do you use that?
Speaker 5 (24:17):
You know?
Speaker 4 (24:18):
Okay? Okay?
Speaker 1 (24:19):
You mean you just dismiss it, right, you dismiss it
and you say, now we're in the postseeds unless they way.
Speaker 2 (24:25):
That's what Rob.
Speaker 9 (24:27):
You've been doing radio for thirty years. You are good, Rob,
You're masterful.
Speaker 2 (24:30):
Look how you get people to answer your ridiculous questions?
Speaker 3 (24:34):
Why folk?
Speaker 2 (24:34):
Why couldnt it be? What if they going there? They
do what that they're supposed to do.
Speaker 9 (24:38):
Matthew Stafford those three touchdowns, they win by fifteen, sixteen,
seventeen points like they should.
Speaker 2 (24:44):
Why can't it be that. What if he throws three
picks and they lose to.
Speaker 1 (24:47):
Because you know why because last year when I picked
Washington over Detroit, I said that Jared Goff would throw
three interceptions and.
Speaker 4 (24:57):
You just, oh, you always always extreme? Why has he
got to be extreme? Guess what he did? He threw
three picks and had to fuck.
Speaker 2 (25:05):
Did but the Commanders were at least a good team.
Speaker 1 (25:09):
No, but I'm just saying what I'm just talking about.
You talk about extremes, and that's what I said. What
if Cal throws three picks and they lose the game,
because that was the game.
Speaker 9 (25:18):
Right now, nobody doing I know him. I don't want
to talk about him right now.
Speaker 4 (25:22):
It's just been Alex.
Speaker 3 (25:23):
You know this.
Speaker 1 (25:23):
Alex sits here every day. It's just been a tremendous
year for me this NFL season. Even Kelvin just no.
Speaker 2 (25:30):
I can't wait till the eye cup of ball on Sunday.
Speaker 1 (25:33):

Baltimore loses, you'll be sick because it'll be I'm calling off, Okay,
it'll be my wings and.
Speaker 9 (25:42):
I also coming I'm coming in with a chador Sanders
Jersey on too right.
Speaker 1 (25:47):

Speaker 2 (28:55):
Back to you, all right, Steve, have a great weekend. Appreciated.
Speaker 9 (28:58):
Happy New Year to us diakab Rob and Kevin on
a funky flashback Friday, Rob, you got some tweets.
Speaker 4 (29:03):
I got one tweet.
Speaker 1 (29:04):
I just thought we should throw that out there because
we've been talking about the Pittsburgh Baltimore game. Yeah, but
of course the Bucks are playing to get into the
postseason as well. Right, And one of our listeners, Bartley S.
Hill on Twitter said, love you guys, Marry new Year.
I'm a Bucks fan and just hope that the greatest
(29:26):
radio Bucks play by play guy, Jean Deckerhoff can call
a Bucks win game in his last call of a
game after thirty seven years of excellence tomorrow. There you go,
Sheer's bart Man, he's retiring on that.
Speaker 4 (29:44):
I get it. Thirty seven years wow.
Speaker 2 (29:46):
Good, great run.
Speaker 8 (29:47):
Great.
Speaker 2 (29:48):
Thanks you for to support bartlet Yeah, yeah, thank you
for listen, Bartley.
Speaker 4 (29:51):
I'm sorry, Bartley man.
Speaker 9 (29:53):
That the Panthers, I mean, they had like everybody was
high on the Bucks and obviously a bunch of injuries
and kind of derailed the season for them.
Speaker 2 (30:00):
But got it. The Panthers.
Speaker 9 (30:02):
Credit to them because nobody thought about them this season.
Now they got a shot to win and go to
the postseason. All right, it is now time as we
always do Fridays around the sign Lamar Mitchell bet MGM,
Director of Trading, joining the show. Lamar, Happy New Year, brother,
Happy yeah years.
Speaker 8 (30:18):
New year year.
Speaker 1 (30:21):
All right, let's do it. Let's get there. All right,
let's start here, Lamar. Before the we get to the
NFL got to ask you about the college football playoff.
Speaker 4 (30:29):
We had this crazy stat.
Speaker 1 (30:31):
Teams coming on off of by in the playoffs, uh
are just one and seven all time, which is crazy.
Of course, when you guys are sitting a line, does
that stat a start like that get factored in at
all or does every.
Speaker 4 (30:46):
Game and every team get treated independently?
Speaker 5 (30:49):
Yeah, I know with the new format that they had
last year. You know that was the first year that
we had those teams with the buy like that, because
before they all were coming off of you know, getting
the when they just had the semi finals. But no,
we didn't factor that into the numbers for the games
this year. But going forward, the same formatt next year,
(31:10):
we're definitely gonna have to look at to that because
one in seven and Europe coming off of buy that's
no bueno, Fellas, no.
Speaker 4 (31:16):
Buena, No bueno.
Speaker 8 (31:18):
Was right?
Speaker 9 (31:20):
All right, let's go here, get back to the NFL tomorrow.
We were just talking about this and I think you
heard us talking about tomorrow's game between the Carolina Panthers
and Tampa Bay Buccaneers has been built as a winner
take all for the NFC SOUD. But the truth is
if Atlanta wins on Sunday, the Panthers can lose still
make the playoffs. So it's really one of must win
for the Bucks, not Carolina. That's not the case for them.
(31:40):
So if that isn't mind. How much action are you
seeing on Tampa, who's up favored by three in this spot.
Speaker 5 (31:48):
Yeah, it looks like Joe public is pretty much back
in the Bucks about four to one. Money is all
on the Bucks tickets about three to one in favor
of the Bucks. The pros, though, we initially opened this
line at three and they took that three right away,
(32:09):
and that's been pretty at two and a half or
it was. Actually now we're back at three, so it's
gone back and forth with the pros, but definitely the
Joes are definitely all on the bumps. Oh, we'll see
what happens. But this is a great game.
Speaker 1 (32:22):
The biggest game, though, of the weekend in NFL America
has to be the Seahawks against the forty nine Ers.
The winner will secure the number one seed in the
NFC that the Rams choked down in the first round
by So this is huge. I'm looking at the board.
Seattle's currently holding a two and a half point road
favorites in San Francisco. What do you attribute that to?
(32:44):
And where are the sharps on this one?
Speaker 5 (32:47):
Well, we had our initial send out number was the
forty nine ers one and a half after their oppressive
game this past week, and the pros took that. They
took the one and a half, they took the one,
they took the late to one, late to one and
a half an hour, they're you know, late to two.
And so the pros are definitely on the Seahawks here.
(33:08):
And I think you know that Seahawks defense. Uh, even
though my man Sam donold sometimes the ghosts.
Speaker 1 (33:17):
I was just gonna say, Lamar, do they know what
I saim? Donald's a quarterback in a big game.
Speaker 5 (33:21):
I'm just saying, Yeah, that's what I'm saying, because the
pros are definitely on the Seahawks, but the Joe's are
all on the Niners five to one money and also
three to one in tickets. So uh, this is definitely
gonna be Joe's versus pros. Uh. You know, but I
gotta say the Sharps, the sharps have to be on
the Seahawks because of that Seahawks defense absolutely healthy, uh,
(33:43):
as opposed to the Niner defense, which is, you know,
missing some two players.
Speaker 4 (33:47):
All right, KELVI, Well, let's squeeze in a couple more.
We're running really late, so let's.
Speaker 9 (33:50):
Let's get a quick let's saw. So we talked about
that game. That's the biggest game of America. Ravens Steelers
is the biggest game for the couple. We're calling it
the couple ball because I got Baltimore, he's got Pittsburgh.
Speaker 2 (34:00):
We got some wings on the line.
Speaker 9 (34:01):
Kind of action are you seeing for the Ravens, who
are favored by three and a half.
Speaker 2 (34:04):
Where the sharps on this one?
Speaker 5 (34:07):
Oh, whoever has a Ravens, whoever has the Ravens, is
that's where the sharps are. I mean, they lay just
flat out on the money line at minus one sixty,
they laid to three and a half. We're sitting at
four right now, and the public public is all on
the Ravens. Money is about seven to one in favor
of the Ravens, and ticket counts about three to one.
Speaker 13 (34:26):
In favor of the Ravens.
Speaker 5 (34:28):
So it's it's Steelers.
Speaker 11 (34:31):
You know.
Speaker 5 (34:31):
No one's given Aaron Rodgers and his lack of offensive
weapons this weekend with dk metcpt on. No one's giving
them any chance here. So we'll see.
Speaker 4 (34:39):
Yeah, we will see.
Speaker 1 (34:41):
Do they know that the uh Ravens turn the ball
over a lot fumble?
Speaker 4 (34:46):
Okay, we'll see.
Speaker 2 (34:48):
How you turned on, Lamar? I don't even know who
you are.
Speaker 1 (34:50):
Well, I mean the way Lamar's playing. Lamar, you know this.
Lamar just hasn't played well for a long time.
Speaker 4 (34:56):
He just has it.
Speaker 5 (34:57):
And no, no, he's been up all year. You're right, Rob,
he has not played well all year. But we'll see,
like they say, a healthy eighty percent, Lamar, it might
be better than you know, than than Huntley. So we'll see.
We'll see, definitely see.
Speaker 4 (35:14):
All right, should we squeeze in one more here?
Speaker 2 (35:16):
One more? One more?
Speaker 4 (35:17):
Kelvin do which one the Bears won.
Speaker 9 (35:19):
I'll do I'll go to the Broncos Chargers. Okay, then
we'll go there. Yeah, we'll get you out of here
on this one. The Broncos Chargers that open up Denver
favor by seven, but it's balloon all the way up
to Denver twelve and a half, and I know, Justin
Herbert is not going to play.
Speaker 2 (35:31):
They're resting them.
Speaker 9 (35:32):
But the Broncos really struggled last week against the Chiefs
third stringers and the guy we didn't even know who
was in the league, that third string quarterback. All right,
So I got imagine betters are all over the Chargers
in this spot, right, they think they'll lose, but that
still they'll take the points.
Speaker 5 (35:45):
No, Kelvin, You're you're definitely mistaken there. The Sharks, you know, obviously,
once they found out that, you know, they have the
information before we did that Herbert wasn't going to play,
and they're going to get some rest of the Chargers
starters that are banged up. The better. There's definitely money
and tickets all on the Broncos in this situation. We
would definitely need Trey Lance to come through and cover
(36:08):
for the house. Definitely this weekend. That's gonna be a
big decision for us.
Speaker 1 (36:11):
Well, that new tower on the west wing is not
going to be built if you're banking on Trey Lance.
Speaker 4 (36:17):
Sorry about that?
Speaker 2 (36:19):
All right about that?
Speaker 4 (36:21):
Hey, Happy New Year, my man. We appreciate you, you
know that. Thank you so much.
Speaker 5 (36:25):
Yeah, absolutely, Maddy, New Year.
Speaker 4 (36:28):
That's right, Maddy, Yeah, all right.
Speaker 2 (36:31):
All right, let's be too bad boy.

Speaker 4 (37:43):
I was with my family. It was free.
Speaker 1 (37:45):
It was freaky because this is in the seventies and
all the New York goes black. Man, it was crazy.
We're all sitting out on the porch in New York,
you know, on the front of our houses because nobody
wanted to be in a dark house?
Speaker 14 (37:58):
Were in there?
Speaker 1 (37:59):
I want to say nineteen seventy seven, so thirteen, right, yeah,
seventy seven.
Speaker 4 (38:06):
You know it's wild about that. Yeah, like thirteen years old.
Speaker 6 (38:08):
You know it's wild about that. Every day New York
City's black for you, all right?
Speaker 9 (38:12):
And you know it, it's time on the NFL.
Speaker 2 (38:17):
Pigs can't pickoff.
Speaker 3 (38:20):
You ready to retire? The odd couple is gonna make you.
Speaker 5 (38:24):
Rich gambling corruption.
Speaker 3 (38:27):
It's their pigskin pickoff, all.
Speaker 4 (38:30):
Right, fellas, coming out of last week, we have a tie.
Speaker 15 (38:33):
Rob you correctly predicted the Texans and Eagles to uh
to upset their opponents.
Speaker 4 (38:37):
The Texans upset the Chargers, the Eagles upset the Bills.
Speaker 15 (38:40):
Kelvin, you correctly predicted that the Seahawks would cover against
the Panthers seven point spread there and the Niners to
cover that three points.
Speaker 4 (38:46):
Versus the Bears.
Speaker 15 (38:47):
You both were incorrect on the Packers with the four
and a half spread over the Ravens.
Speaker 4 (38:51):
Of course, the Ravens took that game. You guys finished
two and three each.
Speaker 1 (38:54):
So Robble was trying to make up twelve games where yeah,
what's the record?
Speaker 4 (38:58):
Yeah, right now, you do make that game right, twelve
game lead with.
Speaker 9 (39:02):
The last Well, yeah, Leo matth is off fring Rob
g back.
Speaker 15 (39:06):
Okay, yeah, why does this always happen when I'm doing math?
Speaker 4 (39:10):
I know what numbers?
Speaker 15 (39:11):
You got forty six and twenty nine for you, Rob Kelvin,
thirty four and forty one.
Speaker 4 (39:14):
This time it counts.
Speaker 2 (39:16):
This sign man, Lee? Right Lee?
Speaker 4 (39:19):
How you go questioned them this football season?
Speaker 15 (39:22):
Well all right, well yeah, well I don't know if
you guys are going into the playoffs or not, but
definitely took the record.
Speaker 2 (39:27):
It ain't over yet, you right, ain't over man?
Speaker 4 (39:30):
We we got all on Week eighteen. How about this.
Speaker 15 (39:31):
Panthers at Buccaneers Bucks are three point favorites at home.
Speaker 2 (39:36):
Everybody else is going Bucks Bucks. I'm going Panthers.
Speaker 4 (39:40):
I am too the Bucks.
Speaker 1 (39:42):
The Bucks on another team that just has you know
what I mean, like like all year.
Speaker 4 (39:47):
I just I'm gonna take the Panthers, all right.
Speaker 15 (39:50):
Seahawks are two and a half point favorites on the
road at the Niners big game.
Speaker 7 (39:53):
