Speaker 1 (01:50):
That's coming up, and of course last call as we
wrap up the show, give you a chance to jump
in on something that maybe you weren't able to get
to earlier in the pro Graham Rob g we talked
about a little bit earlier, but now we're going to
get into the Chiefs lost all the Jaguars win on
(02:11):
Monday Night Baseball.
Speaker 4 (02:12):
On Monday Night Baseball, I'm all mixing.
Speaker 1 (02:14):
Monday Night football and uh, just kind of recap what happened.
Speaker 6 (02:19):
Yeah, now I see y Us metus at the table,
Robiday Night Baseball.
Speaker 2 (02:23):
You put three spoons out.
Speaker 6 (02:24):
I'm I'm all, I'm just I'm sorry, Well you mentioned it, Rob.
Last season, the Chiefs could not lose a one score
game if their life depended on. They won eleven of
them most in a single season, which is crazy in
NFL history. After last night, they are now zero and three,
and it reached the crescendo there in the final seconds,
(02:44):
where after Patrick Mahomes through a ninety nine yard pick
six to put the Chiefs behind and then march them
right back to score the go ahead touching down with
under two minutes ago, Trevor Lawrence and the Jacksonville Jaguars
came right back down the feet and on from the
one yard line with less than thirty seconds to play.
(03:05):
Trevor Lawrence gets his footstep down by an offensive lineman,
goes down like.
Speaker 2 (03:08):
Frasier Down't look, don't go.
Speaker 6 (03:11):
Fraser rise to get up and falls down a second time.
Even still Chiefs defenders unable to contain him. The greatest
prospects is Andrew Luck stands up, scrambles into the end zone. Ballgame.
Jags win. Jacksonville now atop the AFC at four and one,
(03:31):
while the Kansas City Chiefs are a disappointing two and three.
Speaker 5 (03:38):
For me, I looked at that game and it's something
we had Eric Williams on last hour, and so I'll
quickly hit the Chiefs. I'm sure you probably hit that,
So I'll double back with that. But I'm not worried
about the Chiefs. So for me, you don't want to
lose that. You should have won it. You got a bat.
You mentioned the ninety nine yard interception you return, obviously
something you don't want. But I look at this as
(03:59):
for ever Lawrence, for all of the hype, as Rob
g alluded to, for all the he's of this, he's
the dad.
Speaker 2 (04:06):
Look at him.
Speaker 5 (04:06):
He's the perfect specimen and he's a perfect quarterback. That
was a big win for him. And one of the
reasons why I liked it because we had Ethel Salamo
on earlier last hour. One of the reasons why I
liked that win for him is because it wasn't pretty,
because it wasn't perfect, And sometimes winning quarterback isn't it
is always going to be perfect, right. We talked about
Jalen Hurts. It is sometimes, Hey, it ain't perfect. He
(04:26):
gets the job done. We talk about Patrick Mahomes. It
ain't always perfect. You get the job done. We talk
about you know, Jared Goff might throw for an interception
against the Textans, somehow they find a way to win.
Sometimes being a quarterback and leading your team is not
always going to be pretty in perfect three hundred and
seventy yards, one hundred and forty quarterback rating and all that,
and I thought Trevor Lawrence staying in it. They got
to the nch yard line, fumbles, gives the ball back
(04:47):
to the Chiefs. Chiefs go up a couple of times,
up double digits, and you're thinking this game is over.
And he was able to fight back, he and the
team and and find a way to win. And I
just thought that was a good win for a new
head coach, good win for Trevor Lawrence, kind of not
knowing near as bad, but kind of like the only
playoff when he has we're through the four interceptions and
made that epic comeback and win ended up winning against
(05:07):
the Chargers. But I've looked at that for him, for
a guy who always has the hype for always has
the name, and everybody has these expectations, he finally had
a big Monday night game we're all watching against a
you know, team that's had so much success over the
last six years. How will you fight, how will you
you know, be able to get a win. And he
was able to to the very end, right stumbling, fumbling,
bumbling getting up and still getting in that end zone.
(05:29):
So I thought for him, it wasn't pretty. You look
at his stat line, it wasn't amazing, but you know,
he had what two hundred and twenty one yards, He
had a touchdown, he had interception, He also had that fumble,
but he still rushed for a bunch of yards. That's
another good point. Sometimes he is trying to be too perfect,
too methodical too. Here's my one read, here's my second read.
(05:51):
But sometimes Josh Allen, Lamar, Patrick Mahomes, The's guys prime,
Aaron Rodgers, Ben Roethlisberger. Sometimes you got to make a play, period,
And I thought, oh, he did a great job of
that too, getting out of the pocket using the legs.
Speaker 2 (06:03):
He's a freaking athlete. Use them legs.
Speaker 5 (06:05):
It's twenty twenty five. This ain't nineteen eighty nine. You
don't have to stay in the pocket. He got out there,
he used athleticism and to the literal last play, he
was able to find a way to good to win
four team. So I thought that was a way to
win a game when it wasn't perfect for you, but
you competed and got the dub for your team.
Speaker 4 (06:21):
So that playoff game he came back against the Chargers.
Speaker 1 (06:24):
You don't think about that game when they were down
twenty just referenced it. Yeah, but I'm saying that, but
that that wouldn't be his signature game.
Speaker 5 (06:31):
I'm saying this was a if it's Doe, I'm just
last one and what three four years?
Speaker 1 (06:36):
But I'm just saying to me, that's a signature game. Yeah,
twenty eight nothing in the playoffs and win that game,
all right. I just I didn't look at the game.
I mean, it was big for them to go on
four and one, but I looked at it from the
chief standpoint that that you just mentioned it that the
interception that changed the game.
Speaker 4 (06:51):
They were fourteen.
Speaker 1 (06:52):
Nothing in that game looked like they were in control,
so they gave up a fourteen point lead.
Speaker 4 (06:58):
There's a play that we've seen a few now.
Speaker 1 (07:02):
Where Chris Jones is standing there during the touchdown like
like I don't know if he's counting the attendance or
like I have no idea. Like as a defensive player,
the quarterback is live and moving, and you don't.
Speaker 2 (07:18):
Move to go towards you get somebody else to know, like.
Speaker 1 (07:22):
Even if you run, like I can't get there, but
he just stood there like like it was shocking. And
that's the kind of game that the Chiefs win, right,
you always talk about it, my homes, the last did
play whatever.
Speaker 4 (07:38):
The Chiefs always seem to win the close ones. Now
all those games are going against them, whether it's uh,
you know, the baseball of football gods correcting itself because
eleven and zero is ridiculous. Okay, that was insane, And we.
Speaker 1 (07:57):
Talked about it, how many how many times we've seen.
Speaker 4 (08:06):
How many times we've seen that situation.
Speaker 1 (08:09):
But I'm just saying, in this case, I looked at
the Chiefs, and I look at them not.
Speaker 4 (08:13):
The same way that I used to.
Speaker 1 (08:15):
And and this year, with their record three losses, they
should beat Jacksonville, you know what I mean? Like, seriously,
if they were back after Baltimore, everybody proclaimed them back. Oh,
look they're righted, they're all they're there. Patrick still had
the big interception that swung the game. Don't you believe
(08:35):
that like that swung the game. They were ready to
go into the end zone and instead a ninety nine
yard interception returned the other way. It changed the game.
Those aren't the mistakes that he usually makes. They and
they got they allowed Jacksonville. And I'll give you this,
(08:56):
Trevor Lawrence made some great throws. I made two incredible
during no doubt. I mean they were really really good.
But still I just see that the Chiefs are different
to me.
Speaker 5 (09:10):
That's why. But you just brought up another point. That's why.
For me it was a Trevor. It reminded me of
Eli Manning that throw to Mario Manningham that throw obviously
David Tyrey just staying in to play and then chucking it.
And Trevor Lawrence made all the plays, he made, all
the throws in that last drive. He was his legs
a couple of times, like to me, that was the
(09:30):
absolute best version of him, and again staying in the
game and finding with the heck ever way when needed
to win.
Speaker 2 (09:38):
Minds me.
Speaker 5 (09:38):
Also, Rock Party wasn't really pretty for them during that
NFC Championship game, right.
Speaker 2 (09:43):
I think that game earned him his money.
Speaker 5 (09:45):
Where you're like, dang, we down seventeen man lions, excited
and he fought and we didn't even know that boy
was that mobile that man Rock Party was moving. He
was throwing, making big plays, fighting to get out of
the pocket, and you're like, what the heck all of
a sudden, you meant they win that game sometime you
got to do that. And again that's why credit Trevorlawrence
and the final point with the Chiefs. For me, dude,
(10:06):
I just don't I don't have any doubt that they're
going to find a way.
Speaker 2 (10:10):
Now. He's going to be a pretty season, meaning fifteen
and two.
Speaker 5 (10:12):
No, but I have a feeling they end up eleven
to six because one of the things that I knew
was gonna happen is they're starting to get that offensive.
Grew back those buck eighty bucks seventy yards from Patrick Mahomes.
Those days are starting to become gone. You look at
his numbers. Dude threw for three hundred and eighteen twenty
nine to forty one a touchdout that interception, but he
can rushed for sixty.
Speaker 4 (10:33):
Yards game changer.
Speaker 2 (10:35):
No, I'm not, I'm not arguing that, but you know
what I mean.
Speaker 1 (10:37):
We can look at it, all those numbers you can't
get starting.
Speaker 5 (10:40):
To be explosive again. And that's what I said a
couple of weeks ago. I'm like, oh, and I mentioned
never this, Remember I told Joe by Taekwan Thornton. It
was a great find for them. Three reception for ninety yards.
He's that deep threat you got worthy. And then Rashid
Rice is two more weeks away. Their offense is going
to be crazy. Uh in the next two weeks. It's
(11:01):
already starting to get crazy now and again.
Speaker 1 (11:03):
But I just I still I looked at that explosion
as a Baltimore thing. And I know they scored points
last night. They didn't get down. They've been scoring, but
that was a big turnover. That was a big loss.
When when do you see the Chiefs give up a
fourteen point lead to Jacksonville?
Speaker 5 (11:17):
Seriously, I mean, and by the way too, I'm just
saying coach Cohen for finally starting to use Travis Hunter
a little bit more.
Speaker 2 (11:27):
He was very impactful in that game. Maybe how many
catches did he have? Three or four? Yeah? That one
was huge. Yeah, I mean he jumped over everybody.
Speaker 4 (11:35):
He's just we know that.
Speaker 5 (11:38):
And remember they just mentioned they asked him the game
day before the game. Hey, everybody said, like, how do
you just hang in the air when you go He's like,
oh man, just come I always been doing how I
kind of like, that's exactly what he did. On that
deep catch. I mean he just hung in the air,
jumped early, and was like, oh dang, let me wait
for this ball. Everybody else fell down. Uh, So that
was rick for them to use him more. He started
(11:58):
guarded Travis Kelcey a few times the defensive end.
Speaker 2 (12:01):
So I think they're a solid team.
Speaker 5 (12:03):
Like I'm not gonna overreact with the Jags like what
they are, but they're solid team.
Speaker 2 (12:06):
They're playing well. They're four and one and that's a
that's a good win for them.
Speaker 1 (12:09):
Down fourteen to the Chiefs. In the day, know the
spelled doom, and it just didn't. And I still think
it was more Chiefs than it was Jaguars. Not that
the Jaguars didn't play, because they also Trevor had a
bad interception in the red right gave the gave the
Chiefs a short field, and they also fumbled the ball
at the goal line. Those are mistakes that normally the
(12:32):
Chiefs are capitalized and win.
Speaker 2 (12:33):
That game did capitalize. They just didn't win the game.
Speaker 4 (12:36):
They didn't win the game, and that's that's what I'm
trying to say.
Speaker 5 (12:38):
The Jags, man, I think they fought, and I think
it started from their leader Trevor Lawrence.
Speaker 1 (12:43):
All Right eight seven seven ninety nine on Fox eight

Speaker 1 (15:12):
And just to update you if you're out and about,
So Yankees are down six.
Speaker 2 (15:20):
Yankees.
Speaker 1 (15:21):
Very nice, John Sterling. Yankees have first and second, first
and third. Nobody out, So there get a run or
two more here that dropped during the game. And uh
in Detroit that game was rain delayed for three hours.
Game five to one, Seattle in the top of the eighth.
Speaker 4 (15:40):
All right, so let's.
Speaker 5 (15:41):
Go go to Detroit. Don't have no h in it
because I would be saying they can't hit nothing. Don't
even take a h man.
Speaker 2 (15:45):
Let's go on.
Speaker 1 (15:46):
Thomas in Iowa. You're on the couple of Fox Sports Radio.
What's up, Thomas?
Speaker 4 (15:57):
Is that what you put on? Is that what you
when you cover your comforter? Is that what that is?
Speaker 10 (16:03):
I just want to say. I like of watching them.
Speaker 11 (16:06):
Man, it does a lot getting the monkey off the chest.
Like if we played the Chiefs again in the postseason,
they'll be like, hey, we beat him in the regular season,
we can beat him now. Nobody, nobody brought up Walker
wasn't even playing. Our defense can be so much more
nastier than what it is right now too. I believe
(16:27):
we have the best defense of the NFL, and nobody's
giving us credit. We leave the in league and interceptions
and it's just going to go up all.
Speaker 2 (16:36):
I appreciate it, he must. Len Hennessy speaking.
Speaker 1 (16:39):
Of that real quick. The Aaron Glenn Jets have forceding zero.
Speaker 2 (16:45):
That's that's a crazy stuck through.
Speaker 1 (16:48):
Five right through through five games. It's incredible. It makes
no sense. That was five games.
Speaker 2 (16:58):
That was the best radio you ever did in your
life right there. Thank you. I appreciate that. Rochet Aaron
Judge and the tag out chase.
Speaker 5 (17:04):
You act like I didn't do anything. That was like
being a morning anchor in as a car chase. You
did it perfectly.
Speaker 1 (17:10):
Andre in Massachusetts, you're on the couple of Fox Sports Radio.
Speaker 4 (17:13):
What's up, Dreight, how you doing?
Speaker 12 (17:16):
Thanks?
Speaker 13 (17:16):
Taking a call listen, it's time for these young lines, okay,
to a send and and they have their time in
in the sun. So I'm going with the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Travis Hunter is my guy, been a dude since Dave
won when he was in high school out you know,
let the power five you know what I mean. No, no, no,
no no, We're going to do on this, on this
movement and go to Jackson State and build something and
(17:39):
be loyal.
Speaker 12 (17:39):
Okay. So he's I'm.
Speaker 13 (17:41):
Thrilled for him and what he's doing in the NFL.
And then Trevor Lawrence has always had the core talent,
just needed to have the system around him so that
he can be successful.
Speaker 10 (17:49):
You know.
Speaker 12 (17:49):
So I think this is.
Speaker 13 (17:49):
An ascending teams and in terms in terms of the Chiefs,
everything has to end unfortunately. Okay, and it said, you
know they're they're still the Chiefs.
Speaker 1 (17:57):
But well, last night's game, Dre, you gotta admit up
fourteen nothing right. They got the two turnovers at the
goal line, the interception and and my homestow's a bad pick.
Speaker 4 (18:11):
That's a game they normally win, would you say that?
Speaker 13 (18:15):
Indeed, that's how they won fifteen and one last year?
Winning all those nipping tug games. All I'm saying is.
Speaker 2 (18:20):
Drey, you said is in you think it's over for
the Chiefs.
Speaker 13 (18:24):
I'm saying, these young lions are nipping at their heels.
Speaker 5 (18:27):
And one more time lines and I'll be talking about Detroit.
You got one more time?
Speaker 13 (18:33):
Yeah, you know you know what I mean.
Speaker 12 (18:34):
The young bulls.
Speaker 13 (18:35):
The young bulls is down here Detroit. Hey, Calvin, listen.
I'm all for them, but they got to show me
in primetime. That's my thing with the Chiefs. And two,
you gotta beat the man. Hold on to be the man,
you have to beat the man. So I'm still they
still have it, but I feel like these ascending teams
might have caught off to them. Thanks taking the call,
appreciate it.
Speaker 2 (18:53):
I feel you. Who next?
Speaker 1 (18:56):
Caul in Mobile, Alabama? You're on the couple of Fox boys. Ready,
what's up?
Speaker 5 (19:00):
Call?
Speaker 10 (19:01):
Hey? Taking my call?
Speaker 12 (19:03):
Listen.
Speaker 10 (19:03):
Last night they were congratulating on something, rob but I
assumed did late what would they congratulate you on with
the food or whatever?
Speaker 12 (19:11):
No?
Speaker 1 (19:11):
No, no, So on Saturday, my alma Mada Southern Connecticut
State University, they named the press box after me in
a ceremony and so last night when I came back
uh from there.
Speaker 4 (19:25):
Uh, we had a party last night for the station.
So that's what that was for.
Speaker 10 (19:30):
Okay, well, congratulations. I came in late and I was like,
y'all never said what you Oh no, we said.
Speaker 2 (19:35):
It, Carl.
Speaker 1 (19:36):
I know it is said in a million times. It's
all good made, all good, no problem.
Speaker 10 (19:42):
Yeah, So yeah, I think it's it says more about
the Jaguars because that's the type of game they used
to always lose. And when the lineman stepped on his
foot and he fell down, like here we go the
Jaguars again. But he got up and ran in for
a touchdown. So it was like the turning.
Speaker 1 (19:57):
But isn't that the game that the Chiefs normally w
in know too as well? Like the other teams usually
disintegrate or or or melt down against the Chiefs.
Speaker 10 (20:06):
Yeah, especially especially when you can get the reffs to
pick the flag up because you yelled at him. I
was like, what's going on? They yell at the ref
and he pitched pig play.
Speaker 12 (20:16):
So usually they get to.
Speaker 10 (20:17):
Control the refs and control the game and win.
Speaker 2 (20:19):
But yeah, it's.
Speaker 1 (20:20):
Changing, and if you look at it, I'm not like
almost like Luca complain on every call, every every incomplete past.
Speaker 4 (20:28):
Patrick Mahomes is looking for a flag.
Speaker 2 (20:30):
Yeah, labergaus. You ever see that.
Speaker 4 (20:31):
He's like like every every single one.
Speaker 10 (20:35):
And he gets it. He gets it, just like game
the Super Bowl. It's like he knows if penalty's coming
before the plague. He hits the ground.
Speaker 4 (20:41):
Yep.
Speaker 2 (20:41):
Crazy.
Speaker 5 (20:42):
Appreciate you all right, Carl, Thank you man. Appreciate the cars,
all right? File or fair?
Speaker 2 (20:47):
With JR.
Speaker 5 (20:47):

We thought we were done on the next episode was
we thought we were What if.
Speaker 2 (21:41):
I told you the greatest comebacks in sports?
Speaker 5 (21:44):
I swear it told me I didn't have it anymore,
and then it would be twins though, Robert there.
Speaker 2 (21:51):
Don't do that. That's funny, all right? Is Fouler fair?
Speaker 6 (21:53):
Here on the odd couple of Fox Sports traders and
we go around the dimanscaus all the biggest headlines in
Major League Baseball?
Speaker 2 (21:59):
Nor do so proper gotta be in a real baseball expert.
Speaker 6 (22:01):
A guy who can watch the Yankees sitting down, especially
for our purposes, none other than JR.
Speaker 2 (22:08):
Gamble.
Speaker 12 (22:10):
What's that? What's up? You get a great comeback? That
won't be the Yankees tonight.
Speaker 1 (22:16):
Unfortunately in the third inning, you're saying the games over
the third inning.
Speaker 12 (22:23):
I'm saying that, No, I'm talking about tonight. Play those
first two games. They might as well pack it in tonight.
Speaker 2 (22:31):
Okay, that's right to give up six runs.
Speaker 12 (22:34):
To give up six runs through three innings after the
trocis pitching of the and the play of the first
two games. Yeah, but the onus for anyone so hard, bro.
Speaker 1 (22:44):
The only pushback I'm gonna say is it's the third inning,
that's all.
Speaker 4 (22:48):
And I get it.
Speaker 1 (22:49):
But but if you told me it was the eighth
inning or seventh inning, then I'm with you.
Speaker 3 (22:53):
It's sobody.
Speaker 1 (22:54):
It's sobody innings and and there, and their season is
on the on the brink.
Speaker 4 (22:59):
I think that they're gonna fight back in this game.
Speaker 1 (23:01):
I told Kelvin they might not win, but it's gonna
be a closer game before this thing is.
Speaker 2 (23:05):
I believe in Amon Judge. Right, let's get to it.
Three baseball stop judge, And.
Speaker 6 (23:12):
Because JR started the segment, gets the first crack at
every single one.
Speaker 2 (23:14):
So let's get to it.
Speaker 6 (23:16):
In the nl Over the course of the first two games,
the Cubs and Brewers have combined for a total of
thirteen runs in the first inning alone. That is the
most run scored in the first and two games in
NLDS history, ever in the history of the NLDS.
Speaker 2 (23:32):
So here it is JR.
Speaker 6 (23:34):
Foul or fair to say postseason baseball is better when
it's high scoring right out of the gate, as opposed
to a pitcher's duel like we got with the Dodgers
and the Phillies.
Speaker 2 (23:45):
Earlier this week.
Speaker 12 (23:46):
Oh, let me get my game.
Speaker 2 (23:49):
That is a foul ball.
Speaker 12 (23:51):
I mean, postseason baseball is rarely high scoring to me,
nor should it should it be? You know, this ain't
a video game. When you get to this point, you
have the best players versus the best pitchers and everything
teams to tighten up, including the strategy. So I'm glad
the Cubs and Brewers have hot maats, but unfortunately not
(24:12):
many people are are. I think even watching those games
or camp about that matchup, I know I didn't, but
taking nothing away from PCA and the Cubbies or the
brew crew, I think as long as the big market
teams are dueling, offense is irrelevant, and a wicked pitchers
duel would do the fans just as good.
Speaker 1 (24:32):
I agree, I say foul that.
Speaker 2 (24:35):
Is a foul ball.
Speaker 1 (24:37):
Seeing great pitchers pitch complete games, well, shutouts one nothing.
Every pitch matters in the postseason, so it goes and
there's nothing wrong with the offense. But I love a
pitcher's duel in a quick game and guys making pitches
and all that kind of stuff.
Speaker 5 (24:53):
The answer is foul, we all agree, is what makes
the post season different than in the regular season. Is
at tension, right, and you feel it with each pitch,
with each hit, with each decision that you have to make.
Do we bunt here? Do we sacrifice? Do we make
the wheel play like the Dodgers did the other night?
You know that makes end up being a huge decision.
That's what makes it great. In a perfect world, you
(25:14):
get some offense at a certain point throughout the game,
a couple of two three runs from each team, and
it ends up being a you know, perfectly compelling game.
You don't want every game to be two to one,
but definitely it's foul.
Speaker 2 (25:24):
You guys are terrible, all right? Question number two? What
twelve eleven?
Speaker 1 (25:28):
Yeah, rob zs the same guy wants a fifteen to
fourteen NHL Stanley Cup game.
Speaker 2 (25:34):
What's wrong with that? You know, I'm a Conor McDavid guy.
You know that rock. That's the only name I know?
All right? Nice?
Speaker 6 (25:39):
He Question number two earlier tonight, Vlad Guerrero Junior became
the first player in Blue Jays franchise history say the
home run in three consecutive playoff games is easy.
Speaker 2 (25:51):
Question.
Speaker 6 (25:52):
Outside of the immortal Joe Carter, fab or fair to
say that Vladd Junior is the best postseason history hitter
in Blue Jay's history.
Speaker 12 (26:04):
I guess fair. It's a fair ball, but you know,
I mean, when you think of postseason with the Blue Jays,
you only think of Carter, So I think that's kind
of like a loaded question. Walk off homers in Game six,
and you know, back to back World Series wins. That
Blue Jays team is iconic and the players on those
teams were as well. Black Carrero's not made a marked
(26:27):
in the postseason yet like that, a good performance in
the divisional series is not going to cut it, you know,
to make you all time. When you have legends like
Joe Carter and any of those guys that played on
those World Series teams, those legends, they probably will rank
higher than Blad at this point. Down Junior, Let's get
(26:47):
to World Series first.
Speaker 4 (26:49):
I gotta say foul.
Speaker 2 (26:50):
That is a foul ball.
Speaker 4 (26:52):
Again.
Speaker 1 (26:53):
Division series is cool, don't get me wrong, but a
walk off home run to win the World Series for
a team is no way you could look at anybody
as a better, more clutch hitter in the postseason history
for the Blue Jays than Joe Carter. And don't forget
Dave Winfield played on that team, Ricky Henderson, Tim Rains.
(27:14):
I mean, they were like a lot of guys who
were really good, a waiting to the Hall of Fame,
who got some big hits in those games as well.
Speaker 4 (27:20):
So I can't do that.
Speaker 5 (27:22):
Well, I think it's fair only going based off all
of what the question was. He said, outside of Joe Carter,
is it Father Frank to save lad Junior? Is the
best postseason hitter in Blue Jay's history. The only other
person I think was that Jose Battista who hit the
home run and Chuck o' wack up.
Speaker 4 (27:36):
Yep, there's the.
Speaker 5 (27:37):
Other all right, So then that was an epic moment. Yeah,
that was an epic Mama Richard pull left from the
rob That started so much conversation, Mark Chuck, you can't
do that. Everybody else loved it, some people hate it.
That was that was a moment, a moment that was
the only other guy. I'm like Joe Carter and obviously
they had players. But to answer the question, but I
think it's fair because he's doing it and also, as
(27:59):
you guys are, sometimes it is verset your opponent, and
he's doing it against the Yankee, So I think that
also makes it cool, all right?
Speaker 6 (28:05):
Last one Fouler fair Jr. Gamble sitting in with the
fellas here on the odd couple, Jr. The Dodgers took
two games in Philadelphia to take a commanding two oh
series lead, heading back to LA for Games three and four.
Butts in Game two, as has been the case for
the last several weeks, the Dodgers bullpen did everything they could.
Speaker 2 (28:22):
To blow it. It was terrible that said, Jr. Is
it foul or fair?
Speaker 6 (28:27):
Say the Dodgers bullpen will be the reason they do
not nt make the World Series.
Speaker 12 (28:34):
I'm just all fouled out today.
Speaker 10 (28:35):
Fast.
Speaker 2 (28:36):
That is a foller ball.
Speaker 12 (28:39):
I don't know if you're hating on the Dodgers or whatever.
That's your team and you're you don't like the fact
that they're sweeping not sweeping everyone. But the Dodgers don't
have a bullpen, fellas. In fact, they actually have a
sick collection to starting pitchers who will interchangeably be used
for various roles. Now coming out of the penn kershaw
(29:00):
Suzaki's closing, I mean, come on, I wish to have
the problems that Dodgers has they're just too loaded, too good.
In my opinion, the picture is right where they wanted
to be unpredictable and potentially lethal with starting pitches where
you don't have to rely on relievers who generally aren't
as good pitches as just hogh quality starters.
Speaker 1 (29:21):
Anyway, I'm gonna say fair, they've been.
Speaker 2 (29:27):
They've been.
Speaker 1 (29:27):
The Dodgers' bullpen is even against the Reds, right where
they ran over the Reds. The Red score runs laid
against the bullpen. It wasn't It's never clean. And if
the Phillies didn't bump themselves out of that ending, they
probably would have won.
Speaker 4 (29:42):
Yesterday.
Speaker 1 (29:42):
I really think that the Phillies lost that game. Nobody
out terrible, so I say it's fair.
Speaker 2 (29:50):
It's the easiest one for me. Fair.
Speaker 4 (29:53):
Other than that, you watch the Dodgers every.
Speaker 5 (29:55):
Nothing other than that, the starters have been great. You
know this, judge, they are, They've been healthy, They've and
getting doing what they need to do.
Speaker 2 (30:01):
The bats have come alive.
Speaker 5 (30:02):
Mookie was literally going through it like I'm having the
worse and then all of a sudden he has an
amazing September show. Here show Hey Freddie is Freddy in
the postseason. All these guys Will Smith and to me,
you already know the offense. It's the bumping and they
have been bad prior leading into the postseason, not the
bad in the postseason.
Speaker 2 (30:19):
That's an easy fair for me.
Speaker 12 (30:21):
Hey, well.
Speaker 4 (30:24):
All right, that's foul affair.
Speaker 2 (30:25):
Hey j R. I agree, it won't matter. They're gonna
win the World Series.
Speaker 12 (30:29):
