twenty eight minutes of the last last call, and we're
seeing another big time ESPN personality moving on and man,
(01:14):
the changing of the guards happening every day.
Speaker 5 (01:17):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, man, it's it's it's you mentioned it.
It's just the way the industry is now with a
weird time. We're all trying to balance and make sense
of this this TV thing, man, the streaming thing, and
what's working what's not.
Speaker 2 (01:29):
So Yeah, it is an interesting one. Man.
Speaker 5 (01:33):
We've been talking about of course that that the game
last night in the Eastern Conference Finals, Western Conference Final
Game two going on right now.
Speaker 2 (01:40):
Keep you update on that in a little bit.
Speaker 5 (01:41):
But one of the conversations that I think is interesting
we might start to have throughout this this series, Rob
becomes Jalen Brunson one clutch player of the year. Tyre's
Hallerburton has been the most clutch. We gave the stats
a little earlier. We'll give some more here in just
a bit. But you start to think, man, why these
two teams run their teams in different ways as the
(02:02):
point guards and the leaders. Is there a case that
Halliburton is the top point guard in the East right now?
Is it Jalen Brunton currently? Is this series determined at all?
So it's gonna be I think this is gonna be
an interesting battle between these two, these leaders of these
teams to kind of come out and say, no, I'm
the top guard, top guy as far as the guard
(02:25):
position in the East, and for my money, Rob for
more so style of play. I think Tyre's Halliburton has
a system that can work beneficially for the team. I
think the way he plays kind of Jason Kiddish, kind
of Steve nashis in the way of moving the ball.
(02:47):
I can score when you need you need to, has
that dynamic ability to get buckets. We see what he's
doing on the clutch tip because that's the crazy part.
How clutch he has been. He is now twelve or
fourteen on game tying and go head shots in the
last two minutes of fourth quarters of overtime this season.
Speaker 4 (03:03):
And you send up to Steph Curry go ahead. I mean,
that's a ridiculous.
Speaker 2 (03:07):
Stat right there. That's but that's what you'll be known
for him. I'm serious. And there's more to rob.
Speaker 5 (03:13):
He is five or six of those in the playoffs,
and he and the Pacers there of course they're going
on that clutch playoff run we saw there. But last point,
I'll let you get back to the Steph thing. He's
the most Mayfield goals to take or tie the lead
in the last ninety seconds of the fourth quarter overtime
in one playoff series run so far.
Speaker 2 (03:29):
That's just so far. We still got this series in
the finals. Pension.
Speaker 5 (03:33):
He's got five this year Lebron had five and twenty eighteen.
I remember that run.
Speaker 2 (03:36):
That was crazy.
Speaker 5 (03:37):
Kevin Durant had five and twenty twelve. Dirk went crazy
as we know in twenty eleven with five, Ray Allen
in five in two thousand and nine, Ben Gordon five.
Ben Gordon five is crazy in two thousand and nine,
and John stocked him with five and ninety seven. So
some great guys there to be on that list, and
he has a chance to take the lead again. As
we mentioned, he's got the rest of the Seri in
the finals. But I kind of like I like the
(03:58):
guy who has to to just set up everybody until
I need to dominate. I like the guy that can
change the pace in the tempo. And you can't go
wrong with either of these two. But I think Jalen
Brunton being ball dominant sometimes takes away from Karl Anthony
Towns and he loses the best of his big fella
because he has to do it all, and sometimes he
doesn't get and that's why I don't think you often
(04:19):
get where they both have great games together.
Speaker 2 (04:22):
Sometimes I'm not even sure Cat is out there, and
that can't be.
Speaker 4 (04:27):
That's how I can't be That's how I feel sometimes
in watching it and you'll see Jalen Brunson score eighteen
points in a row or something, and I'm.
Speaker 5 (04:35):
Like, Okay, You're like, uh, that's not Oj just out
there or Bridges. That's Kat, who is a really really
good offensive player who can get hot, as we saw
in Game one last night. So sometimes I think it
turns into Alan Iverson, which is fine if that's the system, right.
Usually when you have an Allen Iverson, a Luca a Lebron.
(04:57):
At times sometimes you look at Lebron rosters not all
the but sometimes you're like, all right, this team isn't
the best, but it fit the system because let me
do everything. I'm a driving, driving, I'm kicking off you shoot,
I'm gonna get to the Hall of Duncan and Alan
Iverson right you you know you were covering the league.
We don't have a lot around him because the system
is get on the ball, we're gonna play defense, We're
gonna rebound, and every now and again, I'll knock down
(05:18):
this out. That's the system, and I think Jayalen Brunson
gets locked into that sometimes and I think it just
takes away from the flow a little bit takes away
from Carlthony Towns.
Speaker 2 (05:27):
He is a dynamic, He's amazing. He gets maybe more
out of that six foot one frame. And I don't
even know if he's six. They can list him in
six to one. I don't even know if he's six's
one probably not right, yeah, but I think, yeah, but
that's so.
Speaker 5 (05:39):
I just think I like the way Tyree's Halliburton kind
of can. I can take it easy and it boom,
pick up when I need to. And I think it's
the way he.
Speaker 4 (05:51):
Is able to distribute to other players and make them better,
but also not afraid of those big moments and the
time comes he's not okay, now, he's a distributor, but
he's not going to just give up the ball to
somebody else and ask them to make that shot. I
think that's the part that I like a lot that
he does. He didn't have to do it all game.
(06:12):
He didn't have to, you know, have the ball and
make sure that he's getting his shots up or whatever.
But when the time comes and he knows, okay, we
need this or whatever, he's not looking to pass the ball.
Speaker 2 (06:24):
Right, he can go get it.
Speaker 5 (06:25):
And I think Jalen Brunton is the better play you're
in the sense of, all right, if I need game seven,
you know who do you think can go get it done.
I can understand why, like brun said, okay, because he
has the capability to go get thirty forty fifty.
Speaker 2 (06:38):
That's just with his makeup the way he is.
Speaker 4 (06:41):
I get that. But halla Burton was on the Olympic team.
He was there's people out there who like him despite
what he's been. All NBA players have said, you know
what I mean? And then after this postseason, people will
really take notice because of what he's been able to do.
You saw people don't remember though, people don't forget those
(07:01):
kind of games.
Speaker 2 (07:02):
Oh what out of you? You know what I mean? Like
like when you watched that last night. You won't forget whatever.
Speaker 5 (07:07):
You won't And those are the things that we keep
using that phrase. The regular season you make your name.
The playoffs is where you make your fame. We all
knew Halliburton. We all, yeah, he's nice, he's nice. He
is making his fame. He is putting people on notice.
And I actually didn't have a problem with him being
voted most overrated. And what I mean by that is
if you have, Let's say you have twenty all stars.
(07:28):
We know there's a couple more, but let's just say
twenty of them for the easy number of it.
Speaker 2 (07:31):
And because you're never gonna pick a middling guy. We're
not gonna say lou Dort is the most overrated, right,
You're gonna pick somebody who's really really good, because that's
why you might think they're overrated, because I don't think
he's a top ten player, but other people do. So
to me, if I'm having one hundred players in the league,
vote like, we gotta pick somebody, you know what I mean,
It's up to you to be like, make them pay.
(07:52):
And that's what he's been on.
Speaker 5 (07:53):
He's been on a tour right now of I can't
believe y'all voted me the most overrated. Let me remind
y'all or let me introduce some of you to who
I am. And it's been great to see. But I'm like,
somebody had to be like it might another really good player.
Speaker 3 (08:05):
It might have been.
Speaker 4 (08:06):
I don't think players when they really do that. I
don't think they do their due diligence or really analyze anything.
It's whether they like you or not. And I think
that has something or you talked about it. But money, money,
Oh he got paid. Look at all that money. I
can't believe they paid him exactly exactly. So then so
then it's like, oh, he's overrated. He don't deserve that.
(08:27):
That's what I think.
Speaker 2 (08:28):
You don't know what it got is.
Speaker 4 (08:29):
I don't think they look at it really breakdown, like
how what kind of a player he is?
Speaker 5 (08:33):
I think if we did this, what was that maybe
eight nine years ago when Mike Conley, remember he was
the highest paid player. I think if they did that,
then it might have been Mike Conley, and not that
he wasn't really good.
Speaker 2 (08:43):
It was just to read.
Speaker 5 (08:44):
But it's just like, wait, Mike Conley is the highest
played player in the NBA. He's he's good, but he
ain't even been an All Star? What what Mike Conley?
I ain't saying he ain't good. He can play on
my team any day, but he's the most and I
think he might have gotten to that year. So I
do think money plays a role because you kind of
take them money you master talent, like we would do
a quarterback Trevor Lawrence.
Speaker 2 (09:03):
Making forty five.
Speaker 5 (09:04):
Hold on, he alright, he's he ain't that Dak Prescott
making sixty Wait, whita, whoa, whoa, he's now he ain't on.
So I think money plays a role into your being
rated where we rate you. But Tyre's Halliburton. I'm just
I'm just a fan of still seeing the traditional mostly traditional.
He's still not like an O old school throwback, but
the traditional point guard. He's kind of like a Isaiah Thomas.
(09:27):
And then that I can go get a bucket. I
can score, but I'll still average ten to eleven assists.
I'll move the ball, I understand pacing. And then like
you said, he can sniff it all right his crunch time.
Let me go get some buckets, right, let me go,
let me go.
Speaker 4 (09:40):
Yeah, I could do this, and I'll have no issue
shooting the basketball in those moments into the hall. I
love guys like that, right, And you see the Knicks
game in the lane and he still pulled it back
out you know what.
Speaker 2 (09:52):
I mean, back out right? That was actually comical. He
did that too.
Speaker 4 (09:55):
And then did you see that at the end of
the game when they were inbounding the ball, he just
gave it to cat.
Speaker 5 (10:01):
No, we might have had to fight because they're saying
it jokingly, like I was just giving the ball.
Speaker 2 (10:06):
You would it's only point two seconds. I would just
give it. And he was like, here you go, okay, no,
we gotta scrap. Bro what you try to do. You're
trying to humiliate me. You're not.
Speaker 5 (10:13):
You already have stole it, said, we choked it away
and now you're out here just handing me the ball.
Speaker 2 (10:18):
Now you gotta see me in the parking lot. Brary,
I was like, games over here, you know you can
do with it.
Speaker 3 (10:23):
I love it.
Speaker 2 (10:24):
He were to bank the shot, I know, I know.
Speaker 5 (10:27):
I love that though, just because again, you know, I
think we need a little pettiness, we need a little rivalry.
Speaker 2 (10:33):
It's feady.
Speaker 4 (10:33):
And those are the stuff that they don't like about Halliburton,
which is fine.
Speaker 6 (10:37):
Uh.
Speaker 4 (10:37):
The other little thing that you heard Charles Barkley say
that he wants the commissioner to let oh yeah, yeah, yeah, And.
Speaker 2 (10:44):
Who do you think, no, popsk you can't offer forgiveness
in these streets, right, you can't.
Speaker 4 (10:50):
But I just think you gotta be careful if you don't,
because if you do that and somebody else does it,
and then you let him come back sooner, you know,
like you gotta be careful because people will watch that
and then say, well, why was he allowed to come back.
Speaker 2 (11:04):
And and do that, and somebody else such wasn't. That's all.
You gotta be careful, that's all.
Speaker 5 (11:08):
Here's why I'll say I'm okay with it because you
just said watch And one thing we sometimes forget in
this game is the NBA or it picked the sport.
Sports are entertainment. Sometimes we act it's life or death.
It's entertainment. And now Halliburton is the star right now.
He's having a great playoff run. And and we know
the daddy ran out through. But it was indefinite, they said,
(11:30):
in demeaning.
Speaker 2 (11:30):
We all know two games, ten games, the whole playoff
definite definite. So you know what the rest of the postseason? Sorry,
come on back.
Speaker 4 (11:39):
That's the last time anybody will run out there, family
member and do some crazy balling.
Speaker 5 (11:43):
We need its entertainment. Everybody gonna want to see it.
Come on, it's entertainment. Don't forget that part in the
sports world. Sometimes we forget that. But Halliburton is uh,
he's definitely reminding some people and introducing himself like that
shack line. I'm sorry, I didn't know you're unfamiliar with
your game. Halliburton is doing it and don't get its
broadcast television thing. Can you imagine, oh my if I
(12:06):
was a placid.
Speaker 2 (12:06):
Thanks? Thanks for you.
Speaker 5 (12:07):
Okay, sorry, I was unfamiliar with your game. Yes, I
play eighty two of them.
Speaker 2 (12:11):
I know. I'm sorry though, all right?
Speaker 4 (12:13):
Eight seven seven ninety nine on Fox eight seven seven
nine nine six sixty three sixty nine. Is Tyrese Halliburton
the best point guard in the Eastern Conference?
Speaker 2 (12:23):
It's real simple. Where are you? We'll continue that conversation
next with you.
Speaker 4 (12:28):
It is The Odd Couple Rob Parker Kelvin Washington right
here on a TV theme song Thursday, Stick and stay.
Speaker 7 (12:38):

Speaker 4 (13:05):

call it like magic City, you're always that's right.
Speaker 2 (13:15):
Rock parking in the building, Rock parking to building. Ah,
how far fall flat? Uh? You want to where everybody
knows ladies, that's right, make it way of the stage.
Rock Parker's in the building. Uh let him breathe out.
Everybody knows your name. And this is in honor of norm.
(13:46):
That's right.
Speaker 5 (13:47):
Cheers, all right, p yes, all right, there you have it.
I hope you enjoyed our rendition of the cheers. Everybody

Halliburton best point guard in the East. Maybe it's still
Jalen Bronte. Maybe somebody we're not thinking about it. I know
Donovan Mitchell's kind of a hybrid point guard shooting guard.
(14:29):
Who you got eight seven, seven ninety nine on five?
Speaker 4 (14:31):
All right, let's go Joe in Vegas. You're on the
odd couple of Fox Sports Radio.
Speaker 2 (14:35):
What's up, Joe?
Speaker 6 (14:37):
Thanks for taking my call. And you know this, this
Indiana overload that I'm getting from your guys is really
giving me a headache.
Speaker 2 (14:45):
Alright, go ahead, pushed back. We love to push back, Joe.
Speaker 3 (14:49):
You know that, you know, I.
Speaker 6 (14:51):
Mean, this is how I look at it. This is
kind of like Georgetown Villanova, where Villanova shot seventy seven
percent in the second half and won one game in
this one game playoff in college, but.
Speaker 2 (15:01):
They played I was watching that game in college. I'll
never forget that I was on the But if.
Speaker 6 (15:07):
They played Georgetown seven times, they wouldn't have done that
seven times. And I'm looking at Indiana and thinking, if
they give the Knicks one hundred and twenty five points
in regulation like they did last night, in the next
six games, I feel very comfortable and I think the
Knicks could win for out the next six games. And
Indiana ain't based on defense, They're based on offense. So
(15:29):
my question to you guys, is if the Knicks score
one hundred and twenty five points a game, every game
for the next six games coming against you, guys, think the.
Speaker 4 (15:39):
Knicks will win well because Indiana will score one hundred
and thirty eight, Like out of my mouth, I'm that serious,
Like did you watch them give up one hundred and
thirty eight to Indiana at the guard last night?
Speaker 6 (15:52):
I don't.
Speaker 4 (15:52):
I'm just saying to nevill they should have won because
they scored that many points.
Speaker 2 (15:55):
Indiana can score. Dude, there's a go ahead, Joe.
Speaker 6 (16:00):
I'm saying that that was the regulation one hundred and
twenty five and I'm just saying that, Yeah, I know
hen can score. But for the Knicks to be able
to score one hundred and twenty five points, that.
Speaker 2 (16:10):
Is they were due for a game.
Speaker 4 (16:12):
Kelvin and I have been talking about this for ten
days a week, like they didn't really have a good
game and you saw everybody played. If I'm a Knick fan,
I'm I'm scared to death that you blew a game. Okay,
choke down a game where your guys showed up.
Speaker 2 (16:29):
Ever put out number between your two guys, yes, Like
that's the game you should be winning. Yeah, Joe, let
me throw this at you. Joe.
Speaker 5 (16:36):
You bring up a question, Joe out there in Vegas.
Check this out, Joe. So you're talking about one hundred
and twenty some points. Well, like I said earlier.
Speaker 2 (16:44):
The Pacers are thirty one and two when scoring one
hundred and twenty plus points. That's what they do. Yes,
they've only lost twice of thirty three games. That's crazy.
So you don't want to get in his face because
you can.
Speaker 5 (16:59):
You Withstan meaning there's forty eight minutes, you might do
well for forty five.
Speaker 2 (17:03):
They want the Nicks to slow it down and don't run.
There's each possession. Yeah you could. I just they're built
for this, Joe. But thank you for the call. Appreciate you.
Speaker 5 (17:12):
Yeah, I love we love to push back, but I'm
just saying, man, there, the Knicks have been the slowest
pace offensive team. You know, Yeah, because its dribble poem,
run in to a chest, Jalen Bruns, run into somebody
else's chest, hold on, way way back up, run and
it's just yeah, and again it's been the next story
has been great. Sometimes it's been hard to watch, but
(17:32):
they have to play that way because again, the Pacers
are ready to last. It's kind of like we're watching
with a thunder right now. They're built to go fast,
They're built to score a lot. They're built to play, uh,
you know, kind of a wild defense. We can throw
this at you, throw this at you. And that's why
I mean it's gonna be hard to beat the thunder
period whom Pacers Nicks just timberwolves because they just got
a bunch of guys and they can do a multitude
of things. But again, I just look at the Pacers
(17:54):
as man. They're they're built for this all forty eight minutes,
rob and add another five. You gotta hunt, you know,
you gotta fifty three minutes.
Speaker 4 (18:01):
I said to you before people thought after the Nicks
knocked off the Celtics it was a rap. And I'm like, dude,
what did I say about the Patiers, Like pay attention?
They were in the Eastern Conference finals last year. They
have a guy who makes big shots when it matters.
You go ahead and think you're good to go, and
you got a big lead and fall asleep at the wheel.
Speaker 2 (18:23):
I don't think so.
Speaker 4 (18:24):
I think the Pacers are better than people have really
looked at them and given them. We didn't talk about
the Pacers all year. Now we're admitting to it.
Speaker 2 (18:33):
Yeah, and what year?
Speaker 5 (18:34):
And we had said that too Rob at the end
of the maybe the last little bit of the season,
because I compared them to the Eastern Conference version of
the Timberwolves, where the Timberwolves from like March first on
or something, they were like twenty five and five or
something like that, something crazy, and they had been on
this run. But you're like, oh, shoot, the Timberwolves are
(18:56):
really out here playing good basketball. And the Pacers really
started to play some great basketball towards the end of
the season. But because the Calves were on a franchise
record pace, you know, that's the conversation. Or the Celtics
are the reigning champs, that's the conversation. So we kind
of ignored them. And obviously the Knicks just being the Knicks,
consumed the media because they're in New York, and maybe
even on the disappointing side, like, man, what's going on
(19:17):
with the Bucks? Why aren't they playing well enough? And
then you had enough start in the Piston, So there
were some better, sexier headlines, good or bad, and I
think that's why they kind of got ignored. But now
they're reminding they're putting on a show. Right now, they're
showing all of us how good they are. All right,
Tyster's Tower Trivia on the way. That'll be fun as always.
We know that's what you're really here for right now,

why I don't think you want to see. I don't
think you're playing radio. I think you really want to see.
Speaker 4 (21:03):
Like this guy going to a strip mall and what
he's doing it.
Speaker 8 (21:07):
He's gotta be funny to see him walk up like
is this this is what happens?
Speaker 2 (21:12):
Does he walk swag?
Speaker 8 (21:13):
No, he's a frumpy old man.
Speaker 1 (21:17):
Shoulders just kind of like oversize, like a Gucci zip
up exactly with no clothes underneath it.
Speaker 5 (21:25):
Allegedly, are we just gonna con see that's one of
the greatest what like cover up like nothing happened, no video, No,
you know, you don't even talk about He's not bash
for it, like.
Speaker 8 (21:33):
It just once the video was presented, they said they
obtained it illegally.
Speaker 2 (21:38):
And that's why that was. Let me tell you what
being a big time billionaire would do for you.
Speaker 5 (21:42):
That's right, Make videos go away, that's facts, all right,
guys celebrating right now?
Speaker 4 (21:49):
Okay, yeah I had to make I'm just saying it
ain't everybody.
Speaker 2 (21:54):
Robby over under for that one. It's four and a
half minutes.
Speaker 9 (21:57):
All right.
Speaker 2 (21:58):
We've been selling the radio.
Speaker 8 (22:00):
Tyrese Halliburton and the n said less than all night
six years and as you're not making a six yes, yeah,
making it six months at this point. All right, guys,
we're celebrating the Pacers of Haliburn. All these questions are
Pacers related. Flipped the coin during Monty's award winning update,
Calvin Washington, the newsman, gets number one.
Speaker 2 (22:21):
Number one. You know the rules, no number one. I
don't think there are rules anymore. By the way, rob
you were gone for six.
Speaker 8 (22:29):
Adam Silver of Commissioners.
Speaker 2 (22:30):
I kind of let it out of stuff, right, he's charman,
that's your middle all right, here we go dumb.
Speaker 8 (22:36):
Before getting traded to the Pacers, Tyrese Haliburton got his
starting the NBA actually with the Sacramento Blank.
Speaker 2 (22:47):
Alex, how you doing. I'm doing spectacular. How are you?
Speaker 5 (22:50):
That's right? Shots, mister golden buns? All right, I'm doing
good man, Ready to do it.
Speaker 2 (22:54):
Let's go, I say, jiff bonds, all right, Queen King,
there we go.
Speaker 5 (23:05):
That is correct, There we go. Sorry, little easy, little layup.
But it's I mean, you know.
Speaker 3 (23:11):
It's just a queen's because anyway, said Kings.
Speaker 2 (23:14):
But it's fine.
Speaker 5 (23:14):
No on there it says King slash Kings, okay, meaning
I can do either or Mancy.
Speaker 8 (23:20):
I would have went with Queen Bee toiance, okay, said
jay Zo. Level number two over to Rob Parker.
Speaker 2 (23:28):
Rob.
Speaker 8 (23:28):
In the late nineties and early two thousands, the Pacers
had an identity as a very physical basketball team, and
the guys at the forefront of that were Antonio and
Dale Davis. You might know them as the Davis Blank.
Speaker 2 (23:42):
Alex, how are you? Rob? Every time you ask me,
I feel better, my man, I can raise of sunshine.
Can you imagine? You know how long we've been together
and doing this thing.
Speaker 7 (23:52):
I mean I think we've been longer than you and
your ex wife. Yes, we are now officially past that.
That's amazing, it is. So when are we going to
France so you can watch Tiger play.
Speaker 2 (24:02):
There you go. That might be Charlie at this point,
so yes, all right, uh, here we go. I'm just
a lot of stretchers right now. You know you're not
an Edwards or SGA. You ain't playing right now? Okay,
here we go, Alex you ready, I'm ready? Rob? All right,
here we go. It's a lot of stretching. Hi, Elijah
(24:26):
songers better? MLB? Whata? What what's going on? What is
going on?
Speaker 9 (24:38):
A word?
Speaker 8 (24:38):
So I want to hit the buzzer on that.
Speaker 2 (24:40):
I'm not I didn't say anything. You said that was
your clue?
Speaker 8 (24:44):
Is not your clue?
Speaker 2 (24:45):
No, that wasn't my clue.
Speaker 4 (24:47):
We were warming out.
Speaker 2 (24:51):
I did not say that was my clue. I told
you the sid you've been going, Rob you, I told you,
all right, Alex? Are you ready? Here we go? Okay,
Oh you want to go ahead again? Second time? No? No, no,
here we go, boy, I tell you, sisters, what was
that stretch you were doing?
Speaker 3 (25:11):
Again?
Speaker 2 (25:11):
Yeah? What was that stretch? It was the one that
came after your first clue. That wasn't the closest.
Speaker 3 (25:17):
Why in the world.
Speaker 2 (25:18):
Would you say MLB any other reason? Because I was
telling Alex how well the site is doing.
Speaker 5 (25:23):
Now what's the name of the site MLB bro Oh okay,
so that's part of that part of the.
Speaker 2 (25:30):
Cancer, by the way, bro right brothers. That is Yeah,
this is what I told you. It's been getting chaotic
since you were You had the nerve to be going
two months. It's don't take another two months. I blame you.
Speaker 8 (25:41):
Level number three back to Kevin Washington. In the twenty tens,
the Pacers got bounced from the playoffs two straight years,
dang very rudely by Lebron Wade Bosh and the Miami Blank.
Speaker 2 (25:54):
All right, Alex, you're ready? Would you say? That's messed up?
Its bounce for all?
Speaker 3 (25:59):
Right?
Speaker 2 (26:00):
Here we go. Alex's room for everybody. It's a big
league a lot of Biggs big league. Are you paying attention.
Speaker 5 (26:10):
The way he's disrespecting bringing him in to lock him in.
Speaker 2 (26:15):
He's always focused. He's super focused.
Speaker 5 (26:19):
After he would have been out the hanging on them
beaches all day. Oh man, he was focused on I
didn't want to leave something else.
Speaker 2 (26:25):
Here we go. Why am I here?
Speaker 4 (26:29):
Cold?
Speaker 2 (26:33):
Terrible? Read the question one more time, please your honor.
Speaker 8 (26:38):
The Pacers lost to the Miami Blank in the playoffs.
Speaker 2 (26:42):
And please say exact opposite of what he just said.
He'll get it. Is it hot? Thank you, Alex, that's
what you would say, cold goldswood. Alex knew ain't no
such thing as the hot I feel. I feel conspiracy.
What would you say? Why would you say? You know?
Speaker 8 (27:03):
The more you talk about he just giving up clues
at this point.
Speaker 2 (27:06):
Right stop it? Okay, are you ready? Alex? How are you? Rob?
Thank you for asking, Kate. I never asked. Doesn't even
when I do tell you the conspiracy thing. Here we go.
I'm a little matter Kaito right now. He wished them
evil upon me to.
Speaker 7 (27:22):
Do anything, you little Oh you're warming up? Okay, okay,
what are you doing that for? Rob This is crazy?
Speaker 2 (27:29):
Lamp whoa for some heat? This is crazy. This is crazy, Robbie.
I'm mad at you as the commissioner. It's the audio medium.
Speaker 3 (27:38):
I can't help you.
Speaker 2 (27:39):
Guys.
Speaker 8 (27:39):
Isn't doing charades the microphonus.
Speaker 2 (27:44):
Let me tell you something. If we say Adam Silver
is the worst commissioner right now, mine is officially Robbi.
Speaker 3 (27:51):
There.
Speaker 2 (27:52):
It's freezing in here. I got a jacket on that.
I MLB. We're doing charades. Somebody stole your heater. Hold on, wait,
it's still robdie wait. Let me get a pant so
I can write the answer out on this next let's
level number four.
Speaker 8 (28:05):
Back to Rob Parker the Pacers edition of Ty Dowery
Trivia on the odd couple. This is a route up
nineteen to ten. Here back to Rob Rob. The Pacers
only made the NBA Finals once in their franchise history.
That was back in two thousand. They got worked by
My Lakers. Their coach that year was none other than
the legend himself, Larry Blank.
Speaker 2 (28:24):
Alex, how are you Rob? Thank you? I was feeling
a little weird for a sec. But I'm better. But
I'm glad you Rob. Nobody asks you, Nobody ever cares about.
How are you Rob? I'm doing great? Thank you? Good. Okay,
here we go, Alex. I'm ready, Sparrow. Jack. That is incorrect.
(28:54):
I love Jack Sparrow. I'm sorry, Alex. You ready to
do something. Let's do something.
Speaker 5 (29:00):
Let's get it still here Okay.
Speaker 4 (29:05):
My original answer, I'm gonna throw to you after this,
after it gets it wrong.
Speaker 2 (29:09):
All right, Here we go after you blow this one. Here,
my here Alex flies Jack flies bird. There we go,
There we go. There we go ight at the top.
Speaker 4 (29:28):
I wanted to say, I wanted to say, well, I
wanted to mention a bird, and then I was trying
to figure out which one, and then I was gonna originally.
Speaker 2 (29:35):
Say was big? Oh would you have gotten that? Now?
Speaker 5 (29:39):
No, because the big would be anything? Yeah, yeah, I thought,
I thought a big bird. How you go from a
bad clue to a worst clue? If you were like six,
maybe big, big, mighty work.
Speaker 2 (29:50):
No, it might not could have been anything. All right,
we got time for one more.
Speaker 8 (29:53):
We all tied up. Nineteen apiece, I love the school.
Ever he gets it's it's over. Back to Calvin Washington,
let's do it. During the nineteen ninety four playoffs, Reggie
Miller keid what had been the greatest comeback in PACER's
franchise history up until that point, until yesterday.
Speaker 2 (30:12):
Don't touch yourself.
Speaker 8 (30:14):
After that game, he hit Spike Lee with the blank.
Speaker 2 (30:19):
Sign, Alex, you ready to go ahead and just wind his
puppy on down? Say one more time? You ready to
wind his puppy on down? I like to wind and dine,
so let's wind it. Do you do like to wind
it down? All right? Here we go, Heimlich.
Speaker 7 (30:38):
It's not what I want to answer, Robberie. Can I
say a word that's not my answer?
Speaker 3 (30:42):
Sure?
Speaker 2 (30:43):
I was gonna say maneuver. That's good. That why you
was ack?
Speaker 8 (30:47):
What's the maneuver sign look like?
Speaker 2 (30:48):
Okay? And I think I know what you're saying is
choke Calvin and the words I'm disgusting that my girl
likes as Jack Sparrow. I was just gonna go like
this and then asked the question to see.
Speaker 5 (31:08):
If you choke Jack Sparrow, by the way, reminds me
of when my wife and I did a game show.
Speaker 2 (31:15):
And I'll tell you about it. Wow, nice tease.
Speaker 5 (31:18):

Speaker 2 (32:04):
Everybody, everybody, everybody you won't see the biggest gift? Who's
from from me and the car?
Speaker 3 (32:11):
What is that touch?
Speaker 2 (32:12):
What is say? Thank you for being a friend? B
FF go b ff go b f F.
Speaker 3 (32:21):
I can't go wrong with that.
Speaker 2 (32:22):
That or cheers to wrap it up, Good job, Alex
I had that would be the one for me. That's
just it's just touches the soul.
Speaker 5 (32:30):
Hey, let's get to it a couple one more time
for us. We get ready to take a last call
here in just a moment eight seven, seven ninety nine
on Fox Who we got?
Speaker 2 (32:42):
Well, this is the last last car? Thank the go
To Girls took me out?
Speaker 3 (33:04):
Is he saying goal or call you know what?
Speaker 5 (33:06):
Go call go something? I think the last girl, the
Gold Girls took me out? Forgot about that part of it?
Speaker 2 (33:13):
About it?
Speaker 6 (33:14):
Is it?
Speaker 4 (33:14):
Daniel in South Carolina? You are on the couple of
Fox Sports Radio and you are the last call.
Speaker 10 (33:23):
What's going on?
Speaker 9 (33:24):
Fethers?
Speaker 2 (33:24):
How was you dad?
Speaker 6 (33:26):
Hey?
Speaker 10 (33:26):
I'm doing great. Hey.
Speaker 9 (33:27):
I usually like to bump hiss with the goat, But Kevin,
I gotta come after you today.
Speaker 2 (33:31):
Man.
Speaker 10 (33:32):
If that was it's a quarter inch from Halliburton's cove
would have been back further. That would have been the
biggest collapse and the biggest choke job in the history
of the NBA playoffs. I mean, what was the record
was zero to one thousand nine and.
Speaker 2 (33:49):
Sixty two or something like that was crazy.
Speaker 9 (33:51):
I mean, that's ridiculous. And that was a choke job.
And then they tied it, and it was overtime, and
then again and the knickt choked over time. So it
was just the biggest choked Let me ask you this
job ever in history.
Speaker 2 (34:06):
I get you. Listen, I'm not even mad at that
you that you think that. Let me ask you this though.
Speaker 5 (34:11):
So, at any point, can a team, the opposing team,
the offensive team in this case, the Pacers, can they
just win a game? Can they say we did this
to win and you know, whether it be last four minutes,
five minutes, whatever, Meaning so anytime somebody pulls off something
raculous that has to be a choke jobs.
Speaker 9 (34:29):
Is that what we're saying when you get to it
being zero percent, and I think that's last night, there
were one hundred percent last night to win, and all
of a sudden it went to zero. They went overtime
and choked.
Speaker 5 (34:41):
That's true, and I get that, but that's my point, Daniel.
Thank you for the call, Daniel, of where I look
at as miraculous. A dude hit six threes in under
three four minutes. That never happens. And mind you said,
not like you shot twelve.
Speaker 4 (34:56):
So that argument would have been halla burn looking up
to the heavens going wow, we just got a miracle,
or putting his hands together.
Speaker 2 (35:06):
Do you see what I'm saying?
Speaker 4 (35:08):
Like If that was his response, then that would have
been like, Okay, he's looking at it like, we got
a miracle.
Speaker 2 (35:13):
We did something that is unbelievable. Thank the Lord for
what we did. He didn't do that. Can I say
this he did a choke, son, because he knew it
was a choke.
Speaker 5 (35:22):
But what if he were a Chicago Bull or Oklahoma
City Thunder or a Boston Celtic where there is no
Reggie Miller tie into specifically the Nicks. No, no, no,
that literally it wasn't even and we didn't choke back
to the Celtics or come back to the Orlando Magic.
He Reggie Miller. He literally points to Regi Miller. Reggie
Miller has to maintain professionalism. He's like, I want to
(35:44):
jump up, but I got my young protege. He's right there,
Reggie Miller.
Speaker 2 (35:48):
He does. He literally goes Reggie look, Reggie look, and
he does a choke to Reggie Miller because it was
a choke John. So what I'm saying is if he
hits that game winner against the Thunder, he just runs
round circles, might jump up on the score standing, just
goes crazy. All I know because Reggie did it to
the next the irony is thick, real quick.
Speaker 4 (36:08):
Stanverrrett is done at ESPN, who came out here to
do the Los Angeles Sports Center and of course twenty
five years a long run. Not story say they're not
renewing his contract. He says, I'm not retiring, and in
his tweet it was kind of about I'm an LA
guy kind of thing, and you know, and I don't
(36:28):
know if they offered him to go back to Connecticut
and he doesn't want to do that or whatever it is.
But you're going to see this this changing of the
guard at all the sports broadcasting. Like if you're in
the business and you're young, like, over the next five
years you will have a complete turnover in this business,
and you're starting to see it. I'm dead serious because
(36:50):
I'm at the end where I'm starting to see all
the people who I came up with follows years and
it's coming and Stanfordrett's, you know, great career.
Speaker 2 (36:58):
Shout out to.
Speaker 5 (36:59):
Them as gat Listen, man, the money is acting funny
right now. They're offering the people who've been there twenty
five thirty years pennies. They're offering them pennies, and people
are saying, I'd rather go figure it out on my
own than be offered pennies and be offended.
Speaker 2 (37:12):
So shout to stand. The Jason Smith Show with Mike
Harmon is coming up next.
Speaker 3 (37:18):
I never miss your radio show.
Speaker 2 (37:19):
I never hear it, so I never miss it. Did
you hear that
