Speaker 2 (00:21):
You're listening to Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 3 (00:26):
Our number three on a trash Talking Tuesday. Rob Parker
Kelvin Washington, Fox Sports Radio. Man, what a show we
still have. Oh, we still got some stuff, Rob, some
stuff to get to in this hour, including Ryan Hollins,

(00:46):
former NBA center Houston Rockets color analysts.

Speaker 4 (00:50):
We'll get to some more basketball at the bottom of
the hour.

Speaker 1 (00:52):
By the way, he played with the person we're gonna
have a conversation about right here, Doc River.

Speaker 5 (00:58):
He played for.

Speaker 3 (00:58):
Doc Rivers and and uh yeah, we'll get to that
as well. And we really have to start it because
it was, as Steve the Sega just reported, the Patris
were down by seven with thirty five seconds.

Speaker 1 (01:14):
I literally watched it happen with you, and then all
of a sudden they're right back down one because h.

Speaker 5 (01:22):
Halliburton gets filed in one.

Speaker 3 (01:24):
Right, that was that's where we made the big stink
because they were up by four.

Speaker 4 (01:27):
Why would you do that?

Speaker 5 (01:28):
You just give it up?

Speaker 3 (01:30):
And then and I'm gonna say this, Trent Junior, right,
yeah he.

Speaker 4 (01:36):
Did it.

Speaker 3 (01:37):
Bill Buckner. Yeah, there was a pass. I got double
team right through it, right to him, right to him.
It went through his legs and out of bounds, and
Trent Junior was like.

Speaker 4 (01:46):
Balling out, knocked it down.

Speaker 3 (01:47):
Three boys, he had twelve, I think twelve and overtime
like he was the start of game and the ball
went through his legs, turned it over, gave it to
the Pacers, and Halliburton did not. They couldn't foul him,
and so he went straight to the basket, laid it
up and that was it and another choke job for

(02:12):
Doc Rivers. There's no other way of looking at it.
And you know, I get it. Damian Lillard's heard whatever.
They had to win this game to force a game six.
They have Giannis. They were up ball this game. They
were up big, big, big big. You can't do it.
You can't do it. What has happened in the postseason?

Speaker 1 (02:36):
Yeah, I tell you what, man, We joked about this,
but Doc Rivers did it again because I'm dead serious.
He literally just had the scenario in that story that
came out where now he can once again say, at
least I didn't get swept because they lost this series
for to one, another first round exit three years in
a row for the bucks with one of the top

(02:58):
three best players four players, depending where you want to
put Giannis and I understand.

Speaker 5 (03:03):
Dame got hurt.

Speaker 1 (03:03):
I am fully aware of that, but again, you can't
lose this game. You already shouldn't have lost it in regulation.
Rob you and I like, wait, how did this get
to overs? We literally having Lomas Brown, our guests paying
attention to our call with him, we turn around, wait, wait,
times overtime were shot.

Speaker 5 (03:22):
Then you get up seven with thirty seconds in over time.

Speaker 3 (03:24):
You can't lose this game by seven.

Speaker 1 (03:26):
With Doc Rivers and again the comedy, there was an
interview with Doc and he says, I know, I get
a little a lot of flak for being the most
losing the most three to one series, but you got
to be in the playoffs to.

Speaker 5 (03:38):
Even have a chance. You gotta be and I never
get sweat.

Speaker 1 (03:40):
Nobody talks about that.

Speaker 4 (03:43):
That's a badge of honor.

Speaker 1 (03:44):
I mean seriously, and this is coming from a champion
coach almost you know, went almost one two, went to
Game seven versus Lakers, ron our test Meta doesn't hit
that shot.

Speaker 5 (03:53):
Maybe he's a two time chick with winning matters.

Speaker 1 (03:57):
To be out of here acting as if not getting
is a badger honor is crazy. And again, this is
another series, another game he should have won, And if
you go into a game six, you never know.

Speaker 4 (04:09):
This is as bad as it gets.

Speaker 3 (04:12):
And I know it's not gonna happen because the Bucks
got rid of their coach for Doctor Weaver.

Speaker 1 (04:19):
And Griffin gotta be sitting somewhere like, really, I had
a better I would have had a better season if
you kept me the trajectory of my r wins and
I probably I'm sure he feels I could have coached
us to some victories.

Speaker 3 (04:32):
This you gotta ask yourself if you're the Bucks, is
this a fireable offense? Like, given the history of Doc
and what has happened since that championship in Boston, go look,
it'll be all over the internet tomorrow, all of the
series that he's lost and all of the stuff, because

(04:54):
it's just been horrific in the postseason horrific, mind boggling almost.
I just cannot believe that the Bucks just lost that game.

Speaker 1 (05:06):
They lost it like several times over, meaning they kept
coming back and figuring it out. You Okay, they got
that game, and then they will lose it. And here's
the craziest part. The last game was that the last
time we see Damian Lillard and Giannis together? Because I
think that's the last time we see Damian Lillard as
an All Star. And I love Damian Lillard, are like

(05:28):
the guy, the person, I think the player, But dude,
thirty four years old, I believe off of Achilles. I mean,
that's gonna be tough to still be as good as
you were, right, So there's that already in and of itself.
Now people are starting to wonder, is this the last
time we're gonna see Giannis in a Buck jersey? Because
Giannis has been hard on this organization for the last

(05:49):
handful of years. Ever since he won, he's been demanding
he wants players. He got Adrian Griffin out of there,
even if he doesn't say it, he got him out
of there. Wanted players. They go get Dame and he's
still be hey, hey, you know I want more. We
got to do better. I mean, all I want to
do is be in the winning positions. And I'm wondering
because it wasn't like they were playing great with Damian Lillard.

(06:10):
I'm wondering if this is the last we see, If
Giannis in the Buck does do the heat call, does pat.

Speaker 5 (06:15):
Riley say, wow, this might save me.

Speaker 1 (06:17):
If I can pull off a Gianna's deal, you know,
just Chicago Bulls jump in this thing and try to
make some trades.

Speaker 5 (06:24):
Is do Phoenix say hey, we'll give you Kevin Durant.

Speaker 1 (06:30):
We may literally have seen a terrible fall last game
for Giannis in a Bucks Jersey, in a collapse where
they should have won.

Speaker 3 (06:38):
I think that's real, not that they were gonna win
the series tonight, but that they could have kept it.

Speaker 4 (06:43):
I never know, no, no, no, I'm not now.

Speaker 3 (06:44):
So what I'm saying going back to Milwauk, you never know, right,
and then you could force a game seven, uh with
a win at home, winning a tough road game. But
they had them down big in this game in the
first half, yep, and and they allowed them to come back.

Speaker 4 (06:58):
They allowed them to come.

Speaker 3 (06:59):
Back with five seconds ago thirty five seconds with a
seven point lead. Even if they knocked down two threes,
you win. Even if they knocked down two threes, you win.
You're up seven with thirty five seconds to go. And yeah,
and they would have to foul you after the first
right if you get the ball back, they have to
do something something to.

Speaker 1 (07:20):
Stop you well or not, or just trap you at
half court and you'll throw it to Gary Trin Junior
in it and the ball will go through his legs.

Speaker 5 (07:29):
Where is the late great Vince Kelly?

Speaker 3 (07:33):
I mean, slow, roll up prolong first behind the bag,
it gets through Buckner.

Speaker 4 (07:39):
Here comes Night and the Mets win it. That's what
it felt like.

Speaker 1 (07:45):
How did the ball go? He was balling out, that's all.
He's the thing you say that kept that team in it.

Speaker 3 (07:51):
Did you see him down on his knees or like
or on his crouching down like like, how did the
ball go through my legs?

Speaker 4 (07:58):
He was go why what?

Speaker 3 (07:59):
This wasn't the base going through It wasn't hard, It
wasn't a hard passage. It was a basketball, you know, Harden,
for basketball to go through your hands?

Speaker 1 (08:06):
Another by himself too. He wasn't like he was covered
up by a guy. Couldn't really see it straight to him.
All they were gonna do is come run and blitz
him and follow him. He's a great shooter. Was gonna
knock down two free throws and you feel great about
the situation. Instead he goes through his legs. Ten seconds left,
Halliburton goes to his credit. You know a lot of people,

(08:27):
including me, including you, we kind of wonder where's Halliburton an?
You know, he kind of regressed from what we thought
he was gonna be this series this postseason. Been playing
well and tonight made the key plays, makes the and
one layup to get him back within one and then
take straight to Yanni's one of the best defenders in
the league, straight to the whole easy layup to take

(08:48):
the lead and win the game. Gotta give credit when
it's due. But that's the question. Now is this a
blow up?

Speaker 5 (08:54):
Is Doc gone? Is Janni's gone?

Speaker 4 (08:56):
Yep? Where are you? Eight seven seven ninety nine on Fox?
Did this blow up the Milwaukee Bucks? Really? This loss?
Did you watch the end? Really? This might be it?

Speaker 3 (09:09):
What you say, we just gotta blow this up. We
were lucky. We got our championship with Gianni's. It'll be
another forty years just accept it. Move on, as a
police say, there's nothing to see here, keep it moving.
Because the Bucks they did disintegrated, like like really the
Bucks as we know them. Damian Lilla is gonna be

(09:32):
out probably for the year. Janni's just had an altercation
with Halliburn's dad after the game.

Speaker 5 (09:39):
And I think I felt I think you felt him
knowing this might be it.

Speaker 3 (09:43):
And Doc Rivers again is on the bad end of
a postseason loss. You can say whatever else to play
or whatever. If you're gonna give Doc Rivers credit when
they won the championship in Boston, he gets credit when
his teams lose regularly. It's both ways, and now the
losing is an epic proportion. So what you're trying to say, Rob,

(10:06):
the buck stops here. The buck does stop here. And
what do you think is more likely to happen? Doc
Rivers is fired or Giannis is gone, or does both happen?
Eight seven, seven ninety nine on Fox It is the
odd Couple, Rob Parker kelvin Washington right here, Fox Sports Radio,
And you know what to do.

Speaker 4 (10:27):
Stick and stay remember because it's dog Blake's fault.

Speaker 5 (10:31):
It's not Blake, it's on all of US America.

Speaker 2 (10:33):
Be sure to catch live editions of The Odd Couple
with Rob Parker and Kelvin Washington weekdays at seven pm Eastern,
four pm Pacific on Fox Sports Radio and the iHeartRadio App.

Speaker 5 (10:44):
Is this in your repertoire?

Speaker 4 (10:49):
Stay on air? Rob on air? Is this being Crosby? Yes,
you didn't see me?

Speaker 6 (10:55):
Look it up?

Speaker 3 (10:56):
No?

Speaker 5 (10:57):
No, that was good.

Speaker 4 (10:58):
This is one of his best secret songs. Eight seven
seven Yeah ninety nine on Fox?

Speaker 1 (11:05):
Eight seven seven ninety nine on Fox, It's The Odd Couple,
Rob and Kelvin on a trash talking Tuesday. We kind
of just trashed the Bucks because there's no way they
were supposed to lose that game, but yet they did.
Pacers win. Now that series is over, we're asking you.
I said, Rob said, this might be the last game
for Doc. I threw it Rob, this might be the
last time we see Giannis in the Bucks. Jersey could
be two of those things.

Speaker 5 (11:25):
What say you?

Speaker 1 (11:25):
Is there anyone one that happens over the other? Eight
seven seven ninety nine on Fox?

Speaker 5 (11:31):
Who We got.

Speaker 4 (11:33):
Sam in Portland? You're on the Odd Couple of Fox
Sports Radio. What's up? Sam?

Speaker 7 (11:38):
Hey?

Speaker 6 (11:40):
Doc Rivers is an all time Sam ard Is. He
blew the Clippers. Years ago, he blew the seventy sixers,
and now he's blown the Bucks. I do not know
how he keeps getting jobs. He shouldn't been getting jobs.

Speaker 8 (11:53):
Five years ago.

Speaker 3 (11:54):
It is unbelievable because when they hired him. I'll never
forget this. Chris and I when it got hired in
Philadelphia after the Clippers, we were stunned. Thanks for the call, appreciated,
Stunned that he got a job right away, you know
what I mean. Yeah, and that there wasn't something that
he had to sit out or whatever. They hired him
right away after a choke job with the clip.

Speaker 1 (12:15):
There's something to be about knowing people and being people
just like you. Doc is very likable and very liked
within the league, and that's why he got But I'm
saying he keeps a job because of that.

Speaker 4 (12:25):
Tyler and Phoenix, you're on the couple of Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 5 (12:28):
What's up?

Speaker 8 (12:29):
Tyler, Hey, make my call, Love you guys, show you guys,
keep it really.

Speaker 6 (12:33):
Entertaining, really fun.

Speaker 4 (12:34):
Appreciate you, thank you.

Speaker 8 (12:36):
I just want to say, I know it's a bigger
storyline Doc rivers Yannis, but get my facers. Their credit.
I've been watching these guys since I wore my kids
stripe blue and gold thirty one jersey in the nineties.
And it is a crowd happy day for Pacer Station.
We have an entertain product, but we got guys who
love being Indian Pacers and they bought a much performances.

(12:58):
I love what these guys are doing about talk about.

Speaker 3 (13:04):
And you know what, Kelvin and I have said that
we were sleeping on the pace. We admitted that the
last week and a half all season, and maybe we were.
We didn't realize how good they were.

Speaker 1 (13:13):
They sneakily started to win a bunch of games and
offense became very potent. So I'll give you that shout
out to your Pacers, no doubt, and shoutut to Regiment
and my top five favorite players of all time.

Speaker 3 (13:22):
Uh Dion in Texas, you're on the couple of Fox
Sports Radio. What's up, Dion?

Speaker 8 (13:27):
Hey?

Speaker 6 (13:27):
What's up Fellas?

Speaker 7 (13:28):
Hey?

Speaker 9 (13:28):
And I will say, hey, that was a game like
those Both teams competed and I haven't seen a game,
a complete game like that from a lot of playoff teams.
But man, you know, you know, when it's playoff time,
you can tell when it playoff time when Draymond is
kicking someone and reff are trying to figure out if
we need to throw him out or if lucas on
the ground begging to refer a call to He can't

(13:50):
even run his fat behind down the court to play defense.
And you know it's playoff time when Doc Rivers is
losing in dramatic fashion. Guys, I don't know if he's
ever going to get a team over the hump. I
do like how he developed players. You have some young
guys out there balling their tails off. AJ Green never
heard of him, and he's bawling. I have some young

(14:11):
out there. I don't know what happened to Brook Lopez.

Speaker 4 (14:13):
But man, see, you can't lose that game.

Speaker 1 (14:20):
Yeah, Dion appreciate the call, he said, it's the annual
things you can depend on what lucas the skinniest person
who gets fat.

Speaker 5 (14:27):
Shamed in the history of mankind.

Speaker 4 (14:29):
How about Justin and Milwaukee.

Speaker 3 (14:31):
I'm shureing people Milwaukee are happy couple of Fox Sports
radio guys.

Speaker 10 (14:37):
Guys, they kill me. Yeah, man, all right, so listen,
So you guys are asking about Doc Rivers. The guy's
a bomb. We know that at the beginning. Man, he
never deserved a job here, let me tell you. So
you're you're asking who's out for Doc Rivers or y?

Speaker 7 (14:51):
Yeah?

Speaker 10 (14:52):
Yeah, problem doc Rivers has got to be gone. First off,
there's he's he's gotta be gone.

Speaker 11 (14:56):
There's no reason he.

Speaker 10 (14:57):
Said have a job here in the first place. But
the problem is Yon he's he's gonna want to trade
somewhere if you want to be a competitor, right, and
the Bucks don't have a first round draft pick till
twenty thirty, so who are they gonna go to. You
trade him to a competitor and their first round draftis
are gonna be in the late the late draft, which
is all scrubs anyway, so they're not gonna get anybody.

(15:17):
They're not gonna trade him because they're not gonna get
anybody for those late round draft picks. So we're screwed
for the next ten years. But as long as we
got Giannis, we have something. So we're gonna have Giannis
unless he just he says that he wants to go
somewhere and then he decides that he doesn't want to play,
which isn't gonna happen. But I don't know it's turmoil.

Speaker 1 (15:36):
Listen, man, Hey, this is the thing right here, justin
appreciate the call. If Luca got traded, anybody can get traded.
And Giannis is a may man in Milwaukee, but he
has been really on that franchise the last few years.

Speaker 5 (15:47):
He's been hard on them so ily.

Speaker 1 (15:50):
I absolutely believe he's gonna start making some requests out
there and so they could get something for him. Kevin
Duran five first round pick something Cavika and.

Speaker 4 (16:01):
Is that right? They get it right?

Speaker 7 (16:03):
Yeah, helloha guys, hello originally from Milwaukee. Hey, only my
team does this biggest joke, choke job I've seen in
a long long time. I don't even know if they
could let Doc go. I think they're paying like two
coaches already. But yeah, you know what, you gotta let

(16:24):
be honest, go let him chase his dream somewhere else.
He's been great for the city. They got their chip,
they got their rings. Yeah, you know, I would do
like an okay See thing if they don't win. If
okay See doesn't win this year, I'll take chet and
maybe they got some picks.

Speaker 10 (16:45):
I take a.

Speaker 7 (16:47):
High tick from them. But yeah, you gotta let Yannis.
Let him go and start over. And I mean they
did everything they could do, but Yannis look nervous tonight.
He choked himself. I mean, I don't know.

Speaker 10 (17:02):
If this was a doctor.

Speaker 7 (17:03):
It almost looked like that was the guy was paid
off or something to do that.

Speaker 3 (17:08):
But I mean, did you ever see a ball go
through a player's legs like that at that moment? Though
not at the key moment of a game like you
you've been and you've been playing so well. I almost
think it's like a receiver in the NFL.

Speaker 1 (17:19):
Thank you for the call where they know the like
I'm getting ready to get this uh you know, catch
this pass.

Speaker 5 (17:24):
I'm already thinking about my next move.

Speaker 1 (17:25):
So they lose it, you know what I mean, Like
they're like turning around, all right, where's the guy I'm
gonna get hit him? And you actually never caught it.
I think Trim Junior was already thinking they're gonna find me.
I gotta make it on the street throws like instead
of dude, you didn't catch the ball yet.

Speaker 4 (17:36):
Yeah, that was that was as you talked about.

Speaker 3 (17:40):
You know, when they have that highlight reel of it's
like the Tony Romo with the h extra Yeah, misssnap.

Speaker 1 (17:47):
It was just fumbles a snap and yeah, everything was
all situated to win. Yeah, And that's the worst part
about if you're great, Tri Junior. You had an amazing game,
probably the best game of your life as far as
like on the stage, big playoff game, trying to keep
your team in the series, and then that happens. But uh,
I just do I do expect Yanni's to have some conversations.

(18:08):
He's gonna be you brought it up. He's gonna be
without Damian Lillard for like most of next year.

Speaker 4 (18:12):
That's what I'm saying.

Speaker 1 (18:13):
So I could I see him. I don't want to
go through that again, looking like how we looked without
him this year. Trey, you're on the couple of Fox
Sports Radio. What's up, Tray? How are you good?

Speaker 7 (18:25):
Yeah?

Speaker 6 (18:26):
Man, I mean, what's the.

Speaker 4 (18:32):
I mean, come on, you.

Speaker 6 (18:33):
Can't lose that game? Goodn't Lord? Yeah, I met living Texas.
I was like, God, dang, come on.

Speaker 4 (18:39):
Man, that was crazy.

Speaker 6 (18:41):
We kept looking for you, honest man, he might be
out of there for sure.

Speaker 4 (18:45):
We kept looking, We kept looking, going what it's in overtime?
They lost what we were shocked.

Speaker 1 (18:53):
Yeah, every time we would look to score I mean
the we like, all right, wait they're down, Oh okay,
it's an overtime, and then up second.

Speaker 4 (19:00):
Okay, Walkes got second. Yeah, okay, that's cool.

Speaker 1 (19:05):
I got it all right, and then all of a sudden,
we're like, what, Yeah, that's a shocking that's a shocking loss.

Speaker 5 (19:11):
Again.

Speaker 3 (19:12):
We gotta give credit to uh pacers playing because they played,
they stayed in it, they dominated throughout the series. They
didn't when they got down big you could have said, well,
we'll get them the next game.

Speaker 4 (19:23):
They're fighting for their lives and just accept it.

Speaker 3 (19:25):
They didn't do that. Nope, they didn't do it. You
gotta give them credit there. And Halliburton specifically. We've been
tough on Halliburton and he showed up. Who we got Jeffrey,
you're on the couple of Fox Sports Radio. What's up, Jeffrey,
Jeffrey you there? Yeah, okay, what's up, buddy?

Speaker 11 (19:42):
Okay. In regard to the Bucks, I was very skeptic
with Doc Rivers to begin with, but I think both
are gone.

Speaker 4 (19:50):
No, I could see that scenario.

Speaker 3 (19:54):
Just start over, get a new code, somebody new young,
try something, and just rebuil.

Speaker 1 (20:00):
Hello Adrian Griffin, my bad baby, come on back. I
want that old thing back.

Speaker 4 (20:05):
Crazy.

Speaker 11 (20:06):
How about also to quickly Tresh talk Tresh talk the NBA. Okay,
there's no killer instinct. Teams leading by thirty plus or
more actually lead losing or win anybody one or two
or or an overtime losing. They hug after they get
the game, and they're launching five hundred thousand three point shots.

(20:28):
I do have a solution for that. Either put three trampolines,
one on each corner and then on the top and
have them shoot from them, or even better yet, if
they attend to three point shot and it's missed, minus
three points. Thank you. Have a great evening.

Speaker 1 (20:47):
I appreciate the college everybody's he watching. This postseason has
been some good basketball going on. I mean, we've got
a great Knicks game. Knicks down was one.

Speaker 3 (20:54):
Now i'd have been some pissons are doing that stupid
can't score again thing, k cunning him?

Speaker 1 (21:00):
We are, of course, Uh well we're not doing that. Actually,
what I was about to say, getting ready to be
joined here by Ryan Hollands. Ryan Hollins, of course, is
the color analyst for the Houston Rockets, who man thought
they had something going into this series right now, Ryan,
they're struggling against his warriors and Jimmy Butler looking good.
Steph didn't have to have a big night for in
order to then forget a win. Radjinski goes crazy. First off,

(21:23):
how you doing, Ryan?

Speaker 4 (21:24):
Appreciate you about time, man.

Speaker 6 (21:26):
I don't know where you gentlemen been, but about time. Man,
good to hear from you.

Speaker 5 (21:30):
You've been working out.

Speaker 4 (21:31):
Here in these streets, man, I know you're working too,
my man. So we just wanted to check in on you.

Speaker 5 (21:37):
He hit us with it, you know, it's real hits
with it.

Speaker 4 (21:40):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (21:41):
I saw you all. Yeah, I saw you. I hit
you up.

Speaker 1 (21:43):
I was at the Lakers Rocket game end of the season,
saw you there, man. So we got to make sure
we get our guy on the show. What are you
making a series so far?

Speaker 6 (21:52):
Man? I'm loving the physicality intensity. I wish our young
guys had a chance to maybe go against another young
team in their first playoff series. So right now you're
seeing experience versus energy, and our guys are playing hard,
they're physical, they're doing a lot of things with Golden State,
as under manned as they are, as this is probably

(22:15):
as down as they've been going into the playoffs, they
still have the experience. And the first thing I want
to point out is Purry is a bad man thought
And I understand that there's been a couple of games
he hadn't quite had the outburst, but do you understand
the attention that he is taken. And we're talking about
pajem Ski and Jimmy and those guys, and they're great players,

(22:39):
but right now, the level of focus that you have
to put to taking away Steph Curry, I want people
to know that he's a bad man.

Speaker 5 (22:48):
Yeah.

Speaker 6 (22:49):
Now, for two Houston's inexperience, you're seeing double digit miss
free throws, while on the other end, when they Golden
State got Jimmy Butler, they went from one of the
worst free throw shooting teams to one of the best
at the end of the day. And that's a big
difference in the series. Turnovers turnovers have been a big difference.
And I'm gonna give you the loudest statement that I'm
gonna say, the Houston Rockets are the better team. Fellas.

(23:13):
They're down three one because of inexperience, do not be
surprised if they come back. The biggest game that you're
going to see is over in Golden State. This next one,
Houston should take care of business at home. Backs against
the wall, do what you have to do. The one
in Golden State is the one you're gonna have to get.
I don't know any information. I'm telling you right now

(23:33):
from having experience in these situations and seeing how banged
up they are. Golden State's banged up. Don't be surprised
that Jimmy Butler sits out this next game because it's
a lot quicker. There's not that two days rest, right,
and you see him over and.

Speaker 4 (23:46):
Gold All right.

Speaker 3 (23:46):
So Ryan, you're saying, don't be surprised. Are you picking
the Rockets to win this series?

Speaker 5 (23:51):
Yes?

Speaker 3 (23:51):
Or no?

Speaker 6 (23:51):
I'm picking the darn Rockets. Rob Parker, all right. That's
all I get home for you.

Speaker 4 (23:55):
That's all I.

Speaker 7 (23:56):
Want to know.

Speaker 3 (23:57):
I hear you keep talking about don't be surprised, isip
I just want to pin you down.

Speaker 4 (24:02):
Let me ask you this.

Speaker 3 (24:04):
The Lakers and the t Wolves. Wait, give me your
take on that. With the Lakers are the three to
one hole. Not since nineteen ninety seven at a coach
only played five players in the second half of a game,
and they could say Lebron wasn't tired or whatever it was.

Speaker 4 (24:20):
But that didn't work out. That was that was a mistake.

Speaker 6 (24:24):
Yeah, forty forty is not gonna work forty. Lebron's Lebron
is a different forty than me. And at the end
of the day, I'm gonna tell you right now, it
messed up because Lebron with all drew a spate. He
lost that game. He had the bad turnover that people
are talking about.

Speaker 4 (24:40):
That lazy in bounce pass.

Speaker 6 (24:42):
Yeah, he had a bad turnover, and then on top
of the bad turnover, he fouled. And he could say
hand is part of the ball. But Lebron's to experienced
and though you should not even give their reps a
chance to challenge it or put your team in that situation,
and it happened, probably likely because fatigue. Now keep in
mind they're four or five possessions. Also, where Lebron made
some great plays, got some stills, we lock blocks, He

(25:05):
really exerted himself defensively. So we're not going to take
away from what Lebron has done. But when you don't
take that, you know what you do a lot of times,
and you know you want to play your guys. You
know that TV timeout is coming up, but you give
them that rest. You know, the TV timeout is there,
and you get extra time going in on top of
the seven. So those are the situations where I would

(25:26):
say that JJ, you know, dropped the ball and you gotta,
you know, you gotta kind of stand up to Lebron
and tell him he's coming out. But I think hats
off to Minnesota because they know, and I've been saying
this Rober the last time we talked, right, I said,
if you're playing the Lakers, is everybody's taking the Lakers.
Their guys have to run around with you. You gotta
make them work. You gotta get up and down. The

(25:47):
Minnesota is doing a great job of speeding that series up.

Speaker 1 (25:50):
Ryan Hollins, our guest. He is the color analyst for
the Houston Rockets. That's what I've been telling people, especially
around here. Shout to Brandon, He's all, you know, mister Laker.
I told him, I said, I don't like to draw
getting the Timberwolves. He's like, what are you We're gonna
blow them?

Speaker 5 (26:02):
Are you killing me?

Speaker 1 (26:02):
I said, because I'd rather if you were the Lakers
who played the Warriors, because to me, it comes down
to kind of man and man. Can Lebron and Luca
outplays Stephan Jimmy and then you'll see what happens with
the role players. I said, Minnesota is too fast. Too
many guys are six to eight defenders wearing headbands. You
don't even know who they are.

Speaker 3 (26:20):
They look at the same guy and they can just
and then you got an Outpha and Ann Edwards.

Speaker 1 (26:25):
So what do you do you believe in this Minnesota team?
Even that's say they beat the Lakers, can they actually
make some noise?

Speaker 6 (26:33):
Make some noises relative? I don't take them above Oklahoma City.
You know right now they're playing off energy alone. And
my question with the Timberwolves moving forward is execution. That's
the next step I have to see right now. Physically,
he could be the top player in the NBA, as
you're seeing the aging of all of our superstars that

(26:54):
we've known for the last ten and fifteen years. He
has that talent, but the execution is there. Look at
don just kean over a phone book. But his greatness
comes from his skill and his patience in the game. Okay,
so those are the things that you'd like to see
from Anthony Edwards, And if he takes that next big leap.
Now we're talking about him in a different plateau. So
right now, all he has to do is outwork the Lakers,

(27:15):
but it becomes out of execution they get Oklahoma City,
He's going to have to break down a schematics plan
and the energy of Oklahoma City at some point in
time to give forward. And we're jumping a whole nother
round guys by doing that. But no, I'm not pushing
him above Oklahoma City. Is that what you're asking?

Speaker 4 (27:31):
And let me ask you this.

Speaker 3 (27:32):
If the Lakers get knocked out in five games and
whatever and lose this series first round, should Nico Harrison
get a contract extension.

Speaker 6 (27:43):
I'm just asking, here's the reality. I'm gonna say it
what nobody else wants to hear. Yes, Nico. Nico was
definitely a big pushing for us with his relationship with
Anthony Davis. This is my firm opinion. He was not
the only one to act in that deal. In the
speed of the speed of why that deal happened and
why it happened, he's taking it on the head. So

(28:06):
Niko's not a fool. He's ran challenged. I known him
for a long time over at Nike so people need
to relax there. Obviously he knows that. But when you
have a group of parties out are the final decision, Okay,
he's just a man standing in front and taking it
on a chant at the end of the day.

Speaker 1 (28:20):
Yeah, I mean that's what. He's a fall guy, if
you will, right, absolutely, man. And lastly we'll go out.

Speaker 3 (28:29):
On the Uh, somebody you're very familiar with, you play
with Doc Rivers on what the heck happened tonight? He's
gonna say, at least I didn't get swept, because apparently
that's okay for him.

Speaker 5 (28:39):
What do you make of just his tenure with the
Bucks and what do they do now? Gianna's gone? Is
Doc gone?

Speaker 6 (28:46):
I don't think I would say that Doc is gone?
You know, I love that, you know he Doc got
nine lines. Doc gonna find a way. But if you're
Yiannis out to the GOOPO, I can see him putting
a lot of pressure on the front office to go
out and make either moves or if not, he's gonna
be asking out. But the one thing that we've seen
as a history major at UCLA history repeat itself. Milwaukee

(29:07):
has bended to whatever he's like to see so if
he wants to see a move made, don't be surprised
if it's made, and hopefully a speedy recovery to Dave Lillard, all.

Speaker 5 (29:16):
Right, there you happy. We were saying that.

Speaker 1 (29:17):
I mean, Dame is gonna be out a long time,
and I can see Yanna saying I'm not going through
this without another you know, a Robin to my batman. Hey, Ryan,
appreciate you man, You soon appreciate it. All right, tellers,
Ryan Hollin's right there on the odd cup. All right,
you know what time it is?

Speaker 4 (29:33):

Speaker 5 (32:46):
What's up?

Speaker 7 (32:47):
To wrap it up?

Speaker 6 (32:49):
Guys? Oh yo, trash good old coach JJ Riley mister
coach podcast itself.

Speaker 3 (32:57):
Wow.

Speaker 6 (32:57):
I mean, you know, the guy just sees so arrogant.
Hopefully they just get gentlemen's webs tomorrow.

Speaker 9 (33:04):
That way we can you know, kick him to the
curve just.

Speaker 6 (33:06):
Like they did Darman Han because they did darn dirty
in my opinion, because he was a fallout guy.

Speaker 3 (33:11):
Well, I thought they won the n C the mid
season they went to the Western Conference Final. Now, you
gotta admit everybody remember halfway or during the season, they
were like, do we owe jj Reddick an apology? You
remember that whole thing? And I said, what it was
too early to make determination. You have to it's about

(33:31):
the postseason. And they win three straight. That ain't crazy
with Luca, you said, forty year old. But they can't
defend though. That's the that's my issue. Similar to this,
they can't do this. And the Rockets they've been playing
better than the other team. They just can't close it out.
All right, there you have it.

Speaker 4 (33:51):
It ain't about that, it's about it's a full game.

Speaker 5 (33:55):
We just witnessed it with the Bucks.

Speaker 4 (33:56):
The Bucks walked big and they didn't win the game.

Speaker 3 (33:59):
You have to be able close it outs like the
baseball games. Right in the World Series. You know how
many times teams with our closures lose. You got a
World Series? Oh my god, all you do is get
three outs. It's a little harder to get three outs.

Speaker 1 (34:13):
Than you think, especially nerves and everything going on. Yeah, uh,
this is a good game right now. We got the
Nicks up to.

Speaker 4 (34:20):
Let's go to Kevin, Kevin and Cold Kevin Colder's last call. Kevin,
you're there.

Speaker 6 (34:26):
God, it is good all the time.

Speaker 4 (34:28):
So buddy, Hey, what's up?

Speaker 7 (34:30):
Hey?

Speaker 4 (34:31):
Uncle Rob?

Speaker 9 (34:32):
The Bill Belichick thing, Listen, we all know the women
run it, but she looked afraid of him, And.

Speaker 10 (34:38):
I'm gonna tell you something.

Speaker 9 (34:40):
This is what you gotta handle with her. You gotta
tell her, hey, if you interject again, you're not coming
to another inn.

Speaker 3 (34:49):
Kevin, Kevin, hold on, hold on, code, hold on, Kevin.
Did you actually see the video?

Speaker 5 (34:57):
Kevin? Man, dang it.

Speaker 3 (35:00):
The reason I say that is there's no way you
watched that video and thought she ain't running things?

Speaker 5 (35:06):
What is he talking? I'm gonna tell her if you
entered up, she clearly is. Kevin, you ain't even keeping up.
She's running that by far. Which is why I said.

Speaker 1 (35:15):
The irony of Bill Belichick, who has ran his patriots
like a military, you know, organization, and been no distractions,
no nonsense, getting.

Speaker 5 (35:25):
Told what to do bout twenty four year old, the
irony is thick. It was she's running that.

Speaker 3 (35:31):
We're not answering that answering that I thought Bill was
the one in front of the camera. What do you
mean he gotta tell her she clearly is running things.
I can't even believe. Vin, Kevin, Kevin, come on, Kevin,
you know better than that. Clearly she's running this. Hey,
we got a good one man.

Speaker 1 (35:45):
Tomorrow we might either have a good series be three
to two New York Pistons, or I might be asking
you what size shoe? Well, already know eleven. But you
know what, that's okay, it's all right. I know you're
hoping that against hope I am. But I tell you what,
as a fan of they've been playing well, that's all
you can ask for. Sometimes they don't care.

Speaker 4 (36:01):
About all that. The Jason Smith Show with Mike Harmon
is coming up next.

Speaker 2 (36:06):
I never miss your radio show.

Speaker 5 (36:07):
I never hear it, so I never miss it.

Speaker 4 (36:09):
Did you hear that
