It's The Odd Couple with Chris Broussard and Rob Parker! Chris and Rob debate whether LeBron James can get another superstar to Los Angeles and bring a ring to the Lakers and whether Jim Harbaugh would look bad if he leaves Michigan to coach the Packers. NBA champion, an NBA analyst, one of the most respected
veterans of his generation, Karan Butler. So you know he
is not going to pull any punches As we get
into Lebron James and Kevin Durant and all of that
good stuff. Clay Thompson stuff like that. The second guest

(01:35):
in the second hour is another NBA champion FS one
NBA analysts, our main man, Eddie House. So we have
got some great guests for you today. And of course
in the third hour we always go to the hot
seat on Wednesdays, none other than Arnie Spanier is in

(01:56):
on the hot seat. Give him credit for guts, give
him credit for courage, give him credit for heart, because
you know how we get down on the hot seat.
So let me bring in my main man, my partner,
my Ace Boom coom, whoa ho. Yes, Rob Parker, what's
up brother, what's happening? How you doing today, mister Chris Broussard,

(02:17):
I'm great man. How's your day been? Man? Let me
tell you first of all, if you're not following me
on Instagram, you're making a big mistake. Look. Every time
I turn on my Instagram I see a picture of you,
I'm like, look, I gotta be with him three hours
a day now, I gotta look at him on my
phone every day. Well, first, I want to say that,
you know I had that soul full meal at what

(02:40):
was her name of Amy Ruth? So tell Amy Ruth
and I ordered the Reverend Al Sharpton, which is chicken
and waffles. And I did I steer you wrong? No,
you did not. It was out standing. It was outstanding.
And I went with one of the guys I helped Mentor.
He works for Fox News Channel, Fox News Alex and

(03:03):
we had a great time. It was Greg, just caught
up and ate. I enjoyed it, thoroughly enjoyed a great restaurant.
And trust us, if you are in New York City,
you have to make a trip up to Harlem to
go to Amy Ruth, no doubt about it. And then
I went and got a little shave across the street
at the barbershop. And guess whose pictures plastered all over
the barbershop. Colin Kaepernick. He came by and visited them

(03:28):
and about a month ago, six weeks ago, and they
had their pictures up, you know, with them and they
were so thrilled and excited. I guess he had gone
across the street to eat as well at Amy Ruth,
and he stopped over at the barbershop to talk to
the cats in there, and so I put that picture
up as well. So it was a great day. Well,
look as you were eating chicken and waffles. Yes, I

(03:52):
just finished some vegan Chiley. I think Alex is proud
of me. Dj TISHERT you'll pay for that later to night.
Now I'm look. I had vegan chili which was delicious,
and Kyla, our great intern, brought in phone nuts, so
I'm kind of getting us money, which well they paying

(04:13):
her well getting phone nuts money, I know, because phone
nuts are expensive. But I'm excited, man, So during the break,
I'm gonna get myself a phone nut. And the vegan
chili was great. I'm full, but I feel good and
uh so, so it's all good up here. You go
ahead and put that syrup and and batter and fried

(04:34):
butter in your in your veins, and hey, I'm gonna
eat this vegan chili. You know what I got. I
also got a reply on Instagram from Autumn. You know
who does wardrobe but fs one. She's great. She puts together.
I closed, Chris, and she said, you better stop eating
all that food in New York. You won't be able
to fit your suits when you get Hey, look, the

(04:56):
slim fitting era is because you you a big meal
and you can't button your jacket. We need to go
back to the baggy suit days, you know, they were
a lot more forgiving. My goodness, we're ready to go.
We got a great show for everybody, So sit back
and enjoy the odd couple on this Wednesday. Well, let
me introduce our crew. Of course, we got Robed g

(05:18):
the producer. We got our dj Alex Ti shirt on
the ones and twos already mentioned the great intern Kyla
and of course the one and only Dab Carson anchoring
things out. So we all that said, Rod Parker, you
talked about it as a great day for you. You
left out one reason it was a great day for you,

(05:39):
because if you could have planted a story, if you
really like, God just gave you the right to plant
one story that you would love to talk about. I
think it would be the story that NBA players don't
want to play with Lebron James. How long? How long?
If I've been saying that, Chris, go ahead and gloat.

(06:01):
I don't know, but you Lebron hater, So probably Lebron hate.
I'm just a reporter. I'm telling you, all right, and
I just you know what, I'm not surprised. It was
good to see Kevin Durant give some honest, real answers
and basically tell what what a lot of people know
when we know this, Chris, from what we've seen, every

(06:23):
time there was a potential big player who can join Lebron,
it was always like, uh, well, here's my list, and
my list doesn't include Lebron James and the Lakers. Or
here's a little trickle, a little information that says that
uh Kawhi Leonard's not interested in joining a super team.
Here's here's uh Jimmy Butler saying, yeah, I love to

(06:46):
play in Los Angeles the Clippers that is, or I
love to play in New York, can play for the
Nets or or the Knicks. But no, no, no Lebron
on the list. Right, you're you're ready to go to Brooklyn,
but the Lakers. But not the Lakers, not even on
the list. So you know, I've been saying this for
a while because even Lebron had to go to Miami

(07:09):
to make that super team work, nobody wanted to go
with him to Cleveland. Nobody wanted to go to him
when he went back to Cleveland. It's just a pattern,
and I get it because the problem here and Durant
talked about it is what is it for a player,
a young player trying to, you know, make his name
in the league. You don't get anything by playing with Lebron. Well,

(07:31):
let's hear you want to hear Dan that? Yeah? Read
us to one of the Durant's quotes. He made a
few powerful quotes. So here's the one I think you
guys are both talking about, talking about why players may
not want to play with Lebron. It says here quote
it depends what kind of player you are. If you're
Kyle Korver, it makes sense. He's not a number one

(07:52):
option at all, not even close. So his talents benefit
more from a guy who can pass and penetrate and
get him open. If you're a younger player like Kawhi Leonard,
trying to pair him with Lebron James doesn't really make sense.
Kawhi enjoys having the ball in his hands, controlling the offense,
dictating the tempo with his post ups. It's how he
plays the game. A lot of young players are developing

(08:14):
that skill. They don't need another guy, all right. So
you want to respond to that, Rob, Yeah, no, I
think you need to say. But you know, I think
he's on the money. I think this was I think
this was an honest take by Durant. Uh the notion that, oh,
Duran's gonna come play for the Lakers and stick it
to the Warriors. Remember that that went out there like,

(08:37):
oh yeah, now he's mad, he's gonna get on, he's
gonna play with Lebron, and he's gonna he's gonna, you know, uh,
show show the Warriors and the team up with Lebron
and then start winning championships against them. He has no
um no um reason or ryan more reason to want
to play with Lebron. I think he said that very

(08:58):
emphatically in those cores that he's not interested in playing
with Lebron, and other star players aren't either, And I've
been saying that, wake me up when the star player
signs up to be uh, Lebron James is a bag
man of you know what I mean, or back or
Robin or whatever you want to call it. He can't
even get to Brandon england Ingram to play that guy.

(09:20):
Well right now, right now, all I'm gonna say is,
I don't expect any started join Lebron James, not even
Anthony Davis, not even Anthony Davis. And I don't expect that.
I don't expect that Lebron will get a person start
to join him and be win a championship. In Lars Ange. Well,
if he doesn't get a second superstar superstar, right, not

(09:42):
star superstar, he's not winning a championship period the end.
We know the formula for Lebron James to win a championship.
He's been in the league fifteen years, full seasons, He's
won three titles. Each of those times he had a
second superstar. Are who could go get his regardless of

(10:03):
whether he fit with Lebron. He was good enough that
even if Lebron's dominating the ball, even if I'm giving
up some of my game, I still can go get
you twenty five a night because I am my own right,
am a superstar. That was Dwayne Wade, and that was
Kyrie Irving right right about that, right. So unless he

(10:23):
gets that, he is not winning enough. And then you
know role players that can shoot because in Miami, Shane Battier,
Ray Allen as he was older, you know, mayor Mario
Chalmers in Cleveland, they had some shooters. That's the formula
for Lebron to win championships. And if he doesn't get that. No,
he's not winning him. Now here's the one thing I say,

(10:45):
the ironic thing, Rob And I think you probably agree
with this, Kevin. Of all the superstars you can think of,
and most you would say that they don't really fit
with Lebron, Kevin Durant would actually be a perfect fit
with Lebron because he can shoot, you know, he could
like Lebron, can handle the ball, he kick it to KD.

(11:05):
He can catch and shoot. He obviously would be that
superstar who can go get his But I agree with you,
like after these quotes, I think it was unlikely in
the first place, but now it's like, no, and I've
always heard he has no desire to play with Lebron,
even though they're friends. He wants to beat Lebron. So
why would he go there and help Lebron win more championships?

(11:28):
So maybe they're equal in championships where he could either
stay in Golden State or go elsewhere, maybe win more
than Lebron. Absolutely, why would you want to help him out?
Right as far as as far as you know down
the road when you sit back and talk legacy, right now,
Kevin Durant is the one with the with the step

(11:49):
up on Lebron. Right he's beating them and been an
MVP twice. Well, I would say, right now and in
my mind probably probably forever, Lebron James is going to
be viewed historically as better than Kevin Durant. But if
you're Durant, or even if you're just like you or
or an objective fan, if the what if Durant wins

(12:13):
five rings and four or five finals MVPs man Lebron
stuck at three? I mean Durant's numbers, Durant is in
all time. Like when I say all time great, I'm
talking top fifteen player, probably of all time, top fifteen,
top twenty. If he gets all these rings, then maybe
it becomes a debate, right absolutely, And but that's why

(12:36):
you don't want to just go help Lebron cash in
who's gonna get credit for those rings Lebron get If
Lebron's one up, Well, that's where he was talking about,
and we're getting this ad a little later with the
media narrative that they create. You're right, I mean, it
is so much about Lebron getting these rings and catching Jordan.

(12:56):
One thing I'll also say about what Durant said about
Young players. You know, if you're a young star, why
would you join Lebron? He's gonna stunt your growth. So
I'm paraphrasing and stuff, but I would disagree a little
bit right now because if I'm in Anthony Davis, now,
is he gonna be a perfect fit with Lebron? No?

(13:18):
I mean it's hard to be a perfect fit with
Lebron because he handles the ball all the time unless you're,
as Kadie said, a spot up shooter. However, they would
be good together. They are both so good that they
might be able to win a championship, if not more.
And Lebron rob he like if a d went to

(13:39):
Anthony Davis went to play with Lebron in three years,
probably that team's going to morph into Anthony Davis being
the number one option and Lebron being the second guy.
You know, it's not like Lebron's not gonna be in
his prime that much longer. So that's where I would say,
if you're a younger guy, you might realize, Okay, let

(14:02):
me run the ring with Lebron while he's the number
one guy. But then it's gonna become my team in
short order, and maybe we can still win rings. So
I just, I just I'm not convinced, Anthony Davis. I mean,
it's not for sure, but I do think it's a
good possibility. Eight seven, seven ninety nine on Fox. We

(14:22):
have just begun getting into this Lebron James Kevin Durant talk.
But eight seven seven ninety nine on Fox eight seven
seven nine nine six sixty three sixty nine, hit us
up if you want to weigh in on the Lebron
James Kevin Durant Talk. It's the Eye Couple Fox Sports Radio. Yes,

(14:42):
sir Brown Juice, Oh wow, Like what, I ain't about
to run nobody's bath, run your own bat? All right, right,
but that's that's the kind of Bruce hard household I
come from, all right, Rob Parker says, Steph Curry is
old news. He'll explain that next. It's the Eye Couple

keep it locked because wonderful show for you today. But
first let me tell you this. As you're preparing for
the Christmas holiday, it's my favorite holiday, it's probably yours too.

(15:50):
You might just be wanting to get your love to
win a car, new car. Are you that kind of
husband or that kind of wife? Right, new car? You
got cheese? All right? I know, Rob Parker, whoever, whoever,
whoever his honey is right now, she's a lucky lady
because he just might be getting her car some new
car keys. All right, But anyone keep this in my Rob,

(16:14):
when you go shopping for that new car. Car shopping
can be confusing. There's terms like dealer, price list, price invoice.
What you need, Rob will be true car because true
car shows you what other people paid for the car
that you want. That way you can recognize what's a
good price was a bad price. Trust me. When you're
ready to go buy a new or even a used car,
maybe that's more your speed. Rob used car for your honey,

(16:37):
visit True Car to enjoy more confident car buying experience.
And as I said, my partner is just giddy because
Kevin Durant came out and said, it's hard to play
with Lebron and nobody wants to play with him. It's
too soon, Bro, I've been saying it for for months.
I mean for years, I don't know how long, saying

(16:59):
these merrills. Step that Streep needed a supporting actor, right,
she always needed a co star. She was a start.
I just knew that. I knew. I did not believe
that's why he want That's why the trip, the move
to LA was so different because he didn't have that

(17:19):
second guy lined up. And I knew it was about
Lebron just wanting to be in LA and not so
much that if he wanted you. But I don't think
he didn't think he was getting that second star. And
he still may. We'll see. But you know what I mean,
you don't think you think he thought, but I'm signing
up for four years. I guarantee you, and this is
educated garant educated speculation. I guarantee you. Lebron James thought

(17:43):
and probably still thinks he's getting a second star. I
think I don't think so. I think Lebron wanted to move.
I think Lebron wanted to move to LA and his
whole thing was he's he's okay with where he was.
He didn't wind up being a start, a big star
who never got a championship. He won three of them.

(18:03):
He won a big championship in Cleveland. I think he's
fine where he is if he doesn't win another championship
in LA, I really do. I think there's truth to that.
I think he's securing his legacy right however, yeah that
if he doesn't win another whin he you know, he's
still most people think his second greatest player of all.
That's what I mean is that he feels comfortable with that,
and if it doesn't happen, it doesn't. If it does,

(18:25):
it's even better. But I don't think he went to
LA just trying to win a championship more than anything.
I don't put well, there's some truth to that, but
I do think he thought all the cap space are
we getting somebody, whether it's k D whether it's Anthony Davis,
whether it's Kauhi, whether it's Jimmy Butler. I guarantee you

(18:46):
he thought he was getting somebody, and again I still
think he might. I think there's a great chance it's
Anthony Davis. I really do. We'll see if that comes
to pass. But let's get you on the phones involved
in this eight seven, seven ninety nine on Fox you
can weigh in. All right, let's go to This is
a good caller, Rode Mark from Indiana. Mark, what's happening? Brother?

(19:08):
Welcome to the Eye Couple. Oh yeah, and I know
you are Parker y Parker style Lebrian haters, So I
know you know. But what I've been saying forever, you
knowing the hater rages the listeners right now, man, But
to see that this table are filling up, baby, Hey,

(19:29):
check this out. How many players is it gonna take
to bring it home? Dean Lebron has all blamed no fame. Rob.
You need to put that on the Shandy sharpback time.
You're on blame no fame. I'm gonna get a T
shirt made. That's it, baby. Hey, Let's let's find the
clock back back in December Man a year ago Cleveland.
He's playing with the two thy and ten all star

(19:51):
lineup and because he couldn't play with the young players
until the stat pad n agenda busting up that team.
Now we're only in December. Right now, Luc's on the
hot seat. Half the team is unsure tomorrow and Lebron
is taking staff pad minutes already. Ain't no one willing
to come to help this circus? Man? All right, I

(20:12):
don't think Roy Parker could have said it any better.
Good job, Mark, all right, let's go to Let's go
to Keith in North Carolina. Keith, Welcome to the Eye Couple.
You have all these guys. You have Kevin Durant, Lebron James.
They have been they have been at the Tentacle since
high school. They always been good. And when when when
you have them giving their opinion on other players, it

(20:33):
just it sounds and it seems like a job, you
know what I mean? And and who cares if anybody
comes and plays with Lebron? Why wouldn't you want to
come and play with the greatest players? Well, because because
he laid it out, why he doesn't because it doesn't
help you at all, and you wind up if you're
a young guy having your just your growth stunted, buying
Lebron who needs to basketball in his hands. He laid

(20:55):
it out very honestly. Why no one has done it?
And until this day, sixteen years, no one has come
to play with Lebron? Not is it Lebron's fault that
your game isn't where it should be. Fault? Here's one
thing I would say, Rob like Chris Bosh, and I

(21:16):
would love to get Let's try Rob G and Cindy
try to get Chris Bosh on the show soon. But
Chris Bosh, I think if you asked him honestly, what
was it like playing with Lebron? And was it worth?
Because Chris Bosh was a twenty two and eleven guy
in Toronto most had his own well, but let me

(21:38):
finish it the out Rob uh multi time All Star,
went to the playoffs every year but got bounced early. Now,
if you ask him, was it worth giving up your game?
Because he became a glorified role player in Miami right
sixteen point six rebounds, a game spot up shooter at
the three for the most part, If you ask him,

(21:59):
was it worth it, though I'm not so sure. He
wouldn't say yes. Now he would talk about, yeah, I
gave up a lot, I sacrificed my numbers and so
on and so forth. But Chris Bosh won two championships,
and I would I would say Rob he's viewed as
the third part of that Big three, and I think
he's going to the Hall of Fame because of those championships.

(22:20):
I think he's looked at as a missing link who
never lived all the way up to his potential. His
potential and lost n lost a lot where he was
thought of as a stud in Toronto. And don't think
maybe he didn't wouldn't have won a championship. He wouldn't
not as the number got you know, he wasn't that
type of player. But but I'm telling you, his numbers
went way down. He was a third option and he

(22:41):
lost some of his luster by playing with Lebron. He
had the numbers. Why I didn't happen with Dwayne Wade
because Dwayne Wade had already won a championship before Lebron
James came to Miami. But it definitely hurt Bosh. I
think he hurt his we Again, I'd like to ask him,
because you're right, individually numbers why he certainly took a

(23:01):
step back, but he made the All Star team every year,
he won two championships, and I would don't you think
he's gonna be a Hall of Famer, whether you think
he deserves it or not. Don't you think he's going
to be a Hall of Famer? I'm not sure. I'm
really not. And you know what, the only problem Chris
is that I don't know what the criteria is for
the Basketball Hall of Fame. I mean, if if this
was the maybe the NBA Hall of Fame, which it's not,

(23:25):
I just don't know what the criteria. Every time they
put guys in, I'm question. I'm very positive, very confident
Chris Bosh will get in, but because you know, again,
maybe we can get him more. Let's go to Grady
made it so yeah, let's go to Lorenzo in Saint Louis. Lorenzo.
Welcome to the couple. How you doing, man, great man? Hey? Yeah,

(23:45):
before I start, just to let you know, Chris, I'm
Marcus Baylor's older brother. Oh man, he said, you got game.
That's my man. That's the Bailer Project. Rob Good Jazz group.
So you just texted him and told him to call in. Right.
Markets are huge, Marcus are huge Lebron fans. I'm the
Marcus is my little brother rocause I'm the biggest ro

(24:08):
I'm saying, Okay, go ahead, I know you want to.
I know you want to want to blast off, So
go ahead. Yeah. Yeah. First of all, you know what
I put Lebron haters in the two categories, either they
Joby fans or Michael Jordan's fans. First of all, because
every time you break them down, they're gonna tell you
I love Kobe y'all those Michaels. Second of all these
new basketball players. You tell me, you know when you're

(24:30):
talking to Chris Bosh, excuse me, Chris would in all
the pairs. When you're playing sports, easy want to be
a champion, You want stats? You know what, Go ask
Charles Walkley, will he sacrifice some of those stats for
a championship? Okay, go ask Patrick Joint will he sacrifice
something his stats for a championship? Yeah? But he didn't
put up stats. He didn't pat his stats about didn't

(24:52):
do that. He'll playing happening. Bosh got the best of
both worlds, got the best of both worlds. He I
said individually. You're right, Rob. He took a little step back,
but he still was viewed as an elite player. He
still was viewed as an All Star championship Mark Aguire
did it? Remember Mark acguire did that in Detroit? He

(25:13):
did he make the Hall of Fame with those other guys. No, No,
but he wasn't making All Star teams at that point either,
and he was with the average. He was a star, yeah,
but he never won. You know, but it's similar. All Right,
we will continue this because we're gonna we got two
and a half more hours to get into this. Can
Lebron get a second Superstar two Los Angeles and Willie

(25:35):
Ever win a title for the Lakers? We bring in
FS one NBA analysts Carin Butler for the answer that's next,
but first for her debut of the night, Let's bring
in deb Carson. Deb, how you doing, gentlemen? Fantastic? How
are you? Rob? Happy? On New York Day? Again to you.
I walked all over the city, Deb, I walked. I

(25:56):
walked twenty five blocks today. Rob. They let you walk
in my city. Yeah, I Detroit for y'all city. Yeah,
I went to Detroit and New York. They both by
now to three cities. I got, well, we have some
some hoops action already underway. Guys. Warriors out to a

(26:17):
twenty six twenty one lead over the Cavaliers in Cleveland.
Steph Curry with sixteen of Golden State's twenty six points
two minutes ago first quarter there in Cleveland, a minute
to go first quarter. In Orlando, Nuggets lead the Magic
thirty one at twenty six. John Wall out tonight for
the Wizards against the Hawks because of personal reasons. They
are just about to tip off there in Atlanta. And

(26:37):
also just a footnote, Warriors coach Steve curses Draymond Green
will likely return from his toe injury either Monday against
the Tea Wolves or next Wednesday against Toronto. Do you
have some NFL news as well? Jets quarterback Sam Darnold
was a full participant in today's practice as his foot
feels much better and he plans to play Sunday in
Buffalo against the Bills. Broncos had some really bad news today.

(27:00):
Emmanuel Sanders has a ruptured achilles. He's on the ir
and done for the season. So Denver has claimed receiver
Andre Holmes on waivers from the Bills. Great news is
a quick way you could save money. Switch to Gego.
Go to Geigo dot com and in fifteen minutes you
could say fifteen percent or more on your car insurance.
And finally, a trade going down. In baseball, the Saint
Louis Cardinals have a new first baseman. They acquired Paul

(27:22):
Goldschmidt in a trade with the Diamondbacks. Can I say
it's about the Cardinals? Yeah, they always try to win.
I give that Fredschild. They can't sell any more tickets.
They sell three million every year and they're always trying
to win. I give my hats off to the Cardinals.
They've got a great farm system, great fans there in
Saint Louis as well. They don't please the number one
given them points for trying to win. No, but I

(27:44):
mean that they always go out and try to make moves,
you know the better. Are you supposed to get points
for that? Yes, because teams don't do it again they
should be I know, but don't say and don't don't
be expecting points because you you see your kids, you
raise your kids. You're right, I mean, come on, but
you know, all teams don't do it. I know in

(28:06):
the sport I covered the NBA that they always try
to win. So, oh, baby, baseball, that's what's deserving of
a prim mars. Yes, all right, Dad, thanks a lot.
All right, it's the Eye Couple of Chris Bruce a
Rod Parker. We're coming you live from the Geico Fox
Sports Radio studios. It's easy to say fifteen percent or

(28:26):
more in your car insurance with Geico. Go to Geico
dot com or call eight hundred and nine four seven Auto.
The only hard part is figuring out which way is easier.
We're gonna stick with the Lebron James talk. Let's get
a few more calls in Rod before we go to Karan.
Let's let's go to Roderick in Richmond, Virginia. Roderick, what's happening, man,

(28:50):
Welcome to the Eye Couple. Hey, what's doing to night? Hey? Man, look,
I got some points I got I had to write
them down. But because what they're doing to le Bron,
it says that's that's horrible. Because to me, it says jealousy.
I mean, Lebron is one of the greatest players, probably
top I know, top five all time. But it's really curious,

(29:14):
Kevin Durant saying, no, you know, nobody should play with
Lebron because he was stunting somebody's growth. But Kevin Durant
jumped ship from okayc to go play with players that questionably.
Now I don't even like them, you know what I'm saying.
I mean, but they they don't have to like him.
But they won two championships and he won the MVAP
in both finals. Okay, that's that's that's fair. I mean,

(29:35):
he did what he had to do to get his championships.
But I think it's kind of a jealousy fact that
because Lebron has an aura and it was only like
four or five players I've seen it n be the
hand to Ai, Michael Jordan, Magic Johnson, Kobe U. I think,
you know, I mean, I think they kind of jealous
of it all because the prize is not a selfish player.

(29:57):
He's very he'll he'll give the ball up as we
have seen, I mean, just go off after the thing.
Is this robbery and I'm I'm you know, obviously I'm
I'm a big Lebron guy. But he is ball dominant now,
he's unselfish and that he'll pass, but he well and

(30:18):
he passes period. But he's ball dominant. Alan Iverson was
that's this generation, to be honest, Steve Nash, Chris Paul,
all these guys are ball dominant. It can be difficult
to play with someone who's ball dominant like that, particularly
when he scores as much as Lebron does. And I
think that's that's the point. Uh, Magic Johnson. Even Michael

(30:39):
Jordan wasn't ball dominant. Jordan shot a lot, but he
didn't dribble all the time. Not a lot of these guys,
you know, no doubt. All Right, let's go to well Rob,
We're gonna go to g W in Cincinnati. Gin, We're good?

(31:00):
Are you doing? I'm all right? Hey, I wanted to
pick a back off of the last callar a little bit.
But let me ask you, Chris, how many championships or
NBA finals did Michael Jordan get to without Scottie Pippin? None? Okay?
You know with Chris what kills me? Or and this
goes back to your Bosh comment. If you're Chris Bosh,
would you rather be a super duperstar in Toronto going

(31:20):
to multiple All Star Games? Or would you rather be
an All Star with two championships, playing with Lebron and Miami.
That's what I'm saying, Rob, you gotta answer, because I look,
I don't. I agree Bosh took a step back individually,
but he didn't take a step back to missing All
Star games. Yeah, but still was an All Star anyone,
So which would you rather have? The fact remains that

(31:42):
I think now that people watched that and what happened
to Chris Bosh and it didn't happen to Dwayne Wade
as much again because he had already won. But I
think people as time has gone on since then, nobody
wants to be in Lebron's shadow. Nobody wants to do that.
But why this problem, Rob, I'm just telling you that's

(32:05):
that's why nobody ever mentions playing with Lebron. That's a five.
Let me throw this. Let me throw this at you,
gw because it goes to your question and keep him
on the line. It's the way Lebron plays, Like pick
Kevin Durant goes to Golden State and for the most part,
they are little hiccups here and there, but for the
most part, he fit in seamlessly because he can fit

(32:28):
into a system and he can catch and shoot. If
you if Lebron had gone the Golden State instead of Durant,
now would they have won championships? Probably, but they wouldn't
have had to change the whole style of play, like
it would have been Lebron handling the ball, kicking out
to Clay and Staff for open threes. Now they would
have still been great and one, But would it have

(32:49):
been as fun for Clay and Staff? And would they
have still gotten lays? I don't know he will pass
the ball. I mean, that's the thing where I don't get.
Actually the point that you made early in the show
about Kevin Durant. Ironically, Kevin Durant would be like perfect
to play with. He can catch his shoot, plus he
can get his own shot. Like you said, Lebron needs

(33:10):
another guy that can get his own when everybody else
sitting around scared. Kyrie wasn't scared, and uh and Dwayne
Wade wasn't scared. With this whole idea that players don't
want to play with Lebron because what he won't pass
the brow or go off Westbrook on you, I've never bought.
I mean I don't want. Yeah, nobody's saying he won't pass.

(33:30):
That's not the reason. I said it last week on
an Undisputed Rob Lebron is a system unto himself. Man,
whoever you are, you're gonna have to fit into that system.
And if I'm a superstar on my own right, du
I want to do that. But it's not that he
won't pass. That's not no, no, no, because you get look,
John Wall gets a ton of assists, but people think

(33:50):
he's like ball dominant, selfish, you know what I mean,
like you can rack up assists, and again, Lebron, I
don't think anybody in there right mine was he's a
selfish player. No, I don't think so. I just think
that I understand why some other players wouldn't want to
play with him. I'm not surprised by this at all,
because I've been saying this and I still Chris the

(34:12):
next three years in LA. I don't see that player
that he needs to be able to win. I'm telling
you Lebron's four years in Los Angeles will be fruitless
and he won't get the star player he wants. Some
of these players, I don't know, brandon Ingram, they'll probably
wind up trading if this guy doesn't snap out of
it and get into it real soon. And the other
part is, I don't think they're gonna win a championship.

(34:35):
I think it's gonna be very difficult unless there's some
star that comes out of nowhere and decides that La
and Lebron is where he wants to be. Well, yeah, look,
he's not gonna win a championship unless they get that guy.
But I really think, man, I know you you're hoping
and you wishing and you praying. Rob that Anthony Davis, No,
I have no I have no horse in this race.

(34:57):
Come on, Chris, you know I don't care. He I
just they got you gotta admit they got a good shot.
Like why why I don't think so? I don't. Why not?
Because it doesn't he have to be I mean, they
have to trade. That's what I'm saying. I don't believe.
Here's just like I told you that I didn't believe
that Kauai was going from uh San Antonio. Everybody. Oh,

(35:20):
the Spurs are dumb. They might as well just trade
him because he's gonna wind up with the Lakers anyway,
So you might as well give in and get something
rather than remember that that's what they do have to
cooperate they to get in next year? Why would Pelicans?
Why would the Pelicans help the Lakers? And then in
their conference? Just like all these star players except for

(35:42):
the one that was weird was was uh kywee going
into the Eastern Conference going in you know with Cleveland.
That's the only thing that's weird. Even even in football,
they didn't want to trade Brett Farve to the Vikings
in their own division. You remember, they trade them to
the AFC JET I mean, because that's what most teams
would do. That wash that was very weird. Yes, there's

(36:02):
a mistake, downright mistake. All right. Is Lebron James a
lot to make first team All NBA this season? Yeah? Wellix,
we'll talk about that. Next is Brusard's Big Six. It's
the Eye Couple of Fox Sports Radio. Be sure to
catch live editions of The Odd Couple with Chris Brussard
and Rob Parker weekdays at seven pm Eastern four pm

(36:25):
Pacific on Fox Sports Radio and the iHeart Radio app.
All Right, it's the Eye Couple of Chris Brussard and
Rob Parker. Were brought to you by Discover Card because
we treat you like you would treat yourself. This is
the place where you get the funkiest Christmas music known
to man. DJ Alex tie shirt. All right, it's time

(36:46):
you've been waiting all week. Brusar's Big Six. Are you
ready the heat? Like Lebron, We're going big. It's go town.
It's Brussard's Big Six. When you look at the NBA today,
you have some forwards who are lighting it up. It
lightening up to a high level. So even Lebron James

(37:09):
might not be playing on the first team All NBA level.
So right now, I'm gonna rank the top six, top
six forwards period in the NBA after the first six
seven weeks. This has nothing to do with past achievements accomplishments.
It's the first six seven weeks of the NBA season.
Number six Tobias Harris. That's right, Tobias Harris has led

(37:34):
the Clippers to the top record in the Western Conference
along with the Denver Nuggets. Twenty one and a half
points a game, eight and a half boards, and he's
dropping forty two percent of his attempts from three. Number
five Blake Griffin. You thought he was done. You thought
he was finished. You thought he was buried when the

(37:54):
Clippers sent him east to Detroit. Who wants to go there? Well, Blake, Hey,
he's bawling in Detroit. I laced him Saturday. I'm about
to give him miss props. He's led the Pistons to
nine wins in their last twelve games, twenty four and
a half points, nine boards, and five assists, and his
three point shooting has really improved. Blake Griffin is bawling.

(38:16):
Number four. You're gonna think this is awfully low, But
that's how bad the forwards are this year. Not bad
meaning bad, but bad meaning good. Kawhi Leonard Number about Willis.
I'm saying I got Kawhi so low because he's missed
five games already and the Raptors, who have the best
record in the league, are four and one without Kauhi.

(38:37):
He's playing great, but that team is playing great and
he's missed too many games. I want to I want
to see him start playing more, all right. Atton. Number
three Kevin Durant. Now, I know you're sitting here and saying,
hold up, Chris, wait a minute. Kevin Durant the third
best forward right now this season. Yep, Kevin Durant has

(39:00):
when Steph and Draymond were out. Yeah, Duran was putting
up huge numbers individually, but they were taking else. The
Warriors have lost six of their last ten games, mainly
because Steph and Draymond were out, and while KD was
doing it individually, they weren't getting the dub. That's forty
percent of your starting rope. Lighte up, what are you

(39:21):
acting like? Come on, Chris, that's something fair. No, it's
not unfair. You have a second star in Klay Thompson there.
That's more than the man a number number two, hass
and that's Lebron James. I rather play Thompson than any
of those Lakers players, and you would too, and with
without a second star. Look Rob, y'all. Everybody mocked me.

(39:43):
Everybody laughed at me. I got it, even created it,
even created a little self doubt in myself when I
said the Lakers gonna win fifty three games and they're
gonna Lebron's gonna be the MVP. Well he's not looking
like the MVP yet. But they are on pace, Rob
to win fifty games, and that's after the two and

(40:05):
five start. No, Jay, they looked mathematically, they are the
teams that they've been beating Chris. Come on, yeah, Portland,
stop some good to all those other wins. You know
that I got facts, you got feelings. They're on pace
to win fifty games. That I bet you already bet
we already get Bruce's Big six. This is Bruce Sar's

(40:26):
Big six, not Parkers. I'll be jumping in your power
ranking when you got the Jaguars number two, even though
they got a three and nine record. All right, all right,
Lebron's number two, number one, Yanness on tech coompo, because Yandness,
that's right. That boy is balling. He's on pace to
win the MVP. Rob twenty seven and a half points,

(40:47):
six dimes and thirteen rebounds. The boy is killing it
on fifty eight percent shooting in the Milwaukee Bucks are
for real. That's Bruce Sar's Big six. Those are the
best six forwards to date after six seven weeks of
the NBA season. Now you can go ahead and comment
and you can't fight that. Lakers fact, Rob, they on

(41:09):
pace to win fifty If they win the night, they'll
be on pace to win fifty one or fifty two.
And if they lose tonight, they're not gonna lose tonight. Okay,
who they playing tonight? Who they playing? I can't. I
just saw its Spurs. The Spurs have been getting scrampled lately.
I think they've lost their last three games by more

(41:30):
than a hundred points total. All right, we'll see. You're
just trying to hate, man. I'm just telling you, I'm
not buying it. I think your list was all right.
You know, Lebron is a little high there. I get it.
I get it. So I still gotta you're still holding up.
I get it. You gotta hold up hope. You don't
want to be You don't want to build the outside
looking in in case Lebron wins something. But if he

(41:52):
stuck to fifty three and MVP even though everybody's killing
me and I got admit, I was a little and
they don't look too good, but right now they don't
pace heay hate all right, it's more of your calls,
more Lebron, kd even a little Jimmy hardball. It's the
Eye Couple of Fox Sports Radio. Keep it locked on

(42:13):
the court. And then I'm saying it is the eye couple.
I'm Chris Broussard alongside my main man, Rob Parker, and
you can follow us on Twitter social media, and you know,
tweet at us. We got Rob g and DJ Teisher
looking at the tweets and if there's something interesting, we
might just give you a shout out on the air.

(42:35):
You can hit me at Chris Underscore, Bruce Hard, Rob
is at Rob Parker f S one And this Lebron
topic is hot. Kevin Durant coming out essentially saying nobody
really wants to play with Lebron. He understands why guys
wouldn't want to play with him. So we will get
back to that. We got Eddie House coming up in
twenty minutes. We'll get into that with Eddie and then

(42:55):
we'll get to more of your calls a little later
in the show a lot. Do you want to weigh
in on that? But first, there were some big news
in football. Obviously, it's the meat of football season and
it's college bleeding into pros. In terms of this story,
Chris Carter, our colleague at FS one co host with
Nick Wright of First Things First, he dropped a little

(43:17):
bit of a bomb this morning on the show. If
you didn't hear it, here's what he had to say.
Don't tell you guys, a name. Watch out for Jim Harball,
because Jim Harball potentially is trying to get his way
out of Michigan. All right. I got good sources that
are telling me not only Green Bay, but also watch
out for the Cleveland Browns. He likes the quarterback situations there.

(43:38):
And I believe that there is front office people in
Green Bay who are enamored with Jim Harball and potentially
trying to get him to come to green Bay. So
I don't even think Josh is going to be made
available for the Packers, and I think other people have
their eyes on the Packers. Rob here's my show, right right.

(43:58):
But my first thought when I hear that is that
if Jim Harball leaves Michigan, it's essentially admitting you failed,
because the job is certainly not done. And I'm not
even saying he has to absolutely win a national championship,
but he hasn't even been to the playoff. You're coming
off your best season, but in that best season, you

(44:20):
got drilled by Ohio State and you would have been
in the playoff. Everybody except Ohio State had you favor
to win that game. And to leave now, I think
it would be admitting failure. Rob, I hear you, but
he hadn't won anything, and all these years of being
this great coach that everybody covers, and at some point, Chris,

(44:42):
people stopped calling you because you don't win. And I
think that, No, I'm just just hearing people calling him people.
At some point they're gonna stop calling you, is what
I'm saying. And also maybe he just realizes I'm not
gonna win a national championship and it's too hard. I
had it all lined up, and I had the best
defense in the country. I had my own quarterback. I

(45:05):
had an Ohio State team that gave up fifty one
points to Maryland, hadn't lost terribly to Purdue. Right was
the taking, Right, it was laid out there. There were
four and a half point favorites to beat Ohio State
in Columbus and they got their asses kicked. And you
know what, for whatever reason between him leaving places going

(45:28):
elsewhere or the forty nine ers, whatever, he stayed at
all his jobs for four years and then moved on.
So it would not shock me if the Packers a
famed organization, like I mean, maybe they've been on their
struggles the last eight years or whatever. You want to
call it, but that organization and that tradition to be

(45:48):
able to go there and return that to its glory
and win a championship with the quarterback to start with
who still has you know, a number of years to go.
You can't tell me that's not an attractive jobs. So
if Chris Carter says that he's heard from some people,
that would not shock me. If Jim Harball fund I
know that's his alma mater, I know he played for

(46:09):
both Chem Beckler. I know he hasn't gotten a job done,
but he hasn't gotten a job done anywhere. And maybe
he's just like all the other Michigan coaches. Chris, you
can't win there that that school's won one national mythical
championship in nineteen in the history of the school. That's
all they've ever won. That's it. So he wouldn't be

(46:31):
any different from anybody else. Both Shechem Beckler, who is
their their their legendary coach, never won a national championship.
Right statue in the front. Yeah, I've got a statue,
but he didn't win anything. So you don't think it
would be a bad look if Hardball left. Nope, not
to take the green Bay Packers job not at all. Well,

(46:52):
on the other side of that, like I said, I
think it's a bad look. It's a meeting failure. You
went to Michigan to deliver, as you said, what but
nobody's been able to deliver, deliver a national championship and
not just a mythical one. And this was a great
season until the Ohio State game. It's something and you

(47:13):
know what, you might look at it and say, well,
now that Meyers going from Ohio State, now the doors open.
What happens if with no urban he still doesn't win.
People are criticizing him now, You're right, people are criticizing
him now because they got trampled by Ohio State. But

(47:33):
I just think, I just think it's a bad look. Um.
But on the other side, Green Bay Aaron Rodgers, I mean,
Jim Harbaugh. As good of a coach as he is,
one of the knocks about him is that his offense
is antiquated. I mean, didn't Aaron Rodgers just get rid
of that? I don't know. He certainly did a great

(47:55):
job when when he had Colin Kaepernick and he decided
to make a move from from the safe Alex Smith
and people thought Jim Harball was crazy when with this
guy named Colin Kaepernick, all they did was go to
three NFC championships and one Super Bowl. They didn't win it.
But I'm just saying that success in the NFL where

(48:16):
he at least got that team in a position, and
just saying with Aaron Rodgers and the right pieces, and
who knows, maybe maybe the Packers are finally gonna go
out and say, give us Leveon Bell, We'll spend some money,
you know what I mean. I'm just throwing it out.
But if they tell him that you would have Aaron
Rodgers and Leveon Bell off the rip offensively, how would

(48:39):
you not want it? The defense has gotten better, Let's
be honest this year, right, Chris, It's gotten better than
it has been. So I'm just saying it would not
surprise me. I'm not if he decided to leave Michigan.
I don't think that what Chris Carter said is like
off the wall, not at all. So you think he'd
be a good fitting Green band. I think they want

(49:01):
to get somebody who has a name. Uh. And if
you have all you know, Chris, you know how this
business and in all businesses work, all you need is
for that guy to like you or love you or
whatever it is. And if they're enamored with him in
the UH front office, that's all it takes. Look, I
do think I mean, you know, you and I have

(49:21):
debated this. I think Jim Harbaugh is a very good coach,
very good coach. I would like to see him stick
it out at Michigan and try to lead that team
to a championship or hack at least the playoff. You know,
I think Leavin would be an admission of failure. And
I Green Bay. He tried and failed, you know, And

(49:43):
I don't think he failed to the point where he
should get fired. I think he's restored that they would
never but he's restored that program to national prominence. They
did not, well, you're you're I mean, in your mind
only one team is nationally prominent. That's I don't know.
But what do people think about when you think about
this season? You don't think about anything else they did

(50:03):
but get their butts kicked in in Columbus. That's the
only thing that seasons about. That's that's the thinking that
that was a bad loss. That was the number eight
in the nation, number their number seven in the nation.
That's not national prominence. He's the first Michigan coach to
go owing four against Ohio State. Chris, there's no story

(50:27):
the station is that not national prominence. That doesn't matter.
Creally looking at the top four schools, he had to
be in the top four. He entered that game in
the top four. I said, it's been a failure. It's
been a failure in that regard, and that's why I
wouldn't leave if i'm him. But to say he has

(50:47):
been horrible and should get fired and hasn't done a
good job, I don't say that. You didn't hear me
say that. I think that's accurate. You didn't hear me
say that. When did I say he should be fired?
You didn't say it should be fo I started out
the conversation by saying, I don't think he's failed to
the point we should get fired. At the end, they
would never fire him anyway, because he played for Boshem

(51:09):
Beckley was a star quarterback. I get all that he'll
never be fired, never be fired. Well, if he were
to have horrible season, no, they would be like an
escape patch for him to get out of it or something.
I'm telling you he wouldn't be flying. It would be
it would be like Carmelo Anthony. They're doing Carmelo. Okay,
but that's essentially fired. I mean, we know, but but

(51:31):
you know what I mean, Yeah, but I just think
for green Bay, like I said, I mean, I just
got rid of Mike McCarthy, why because his offense was
stuck in the previous generation. I don't need to I
mean again, I think Hardball is a great coach. You
brought up a good point. He did adjust to Colin
Kaepernick and had great success with Kaepernick. But at Michigan

(51:55):
that was part of their problem, antiquated offenses, And I
would have to consider that. You're you you make look
from hard boss perspective, if he leaves Michigan, you're not
gonna get a much better job than Green Bay, right,
I mean, you got the superstar quarterback, you got some

(52:15):
pieces in place elsewhere on the defense, on the offense,
you know, So you're right, it's not like I mean.
Chris also mentioned that he has eyes for Cleveland, and
I know they have talent and they got Baker Mayfield,
but that that don't make sense to me either. I
think he'd went there to to a degree probably have
him in the playoffs consistently. But I don't know that

(52:38):
he went a super Bowl with that group. No, I
mean you don't know, because they've got to make some
changes as well. So let's just be fair. There'd be
crazy to say that you could. You could look at
the team, you know what I mean, ain't gonna be
Chris stop it. No, No, I'm saying right, it's right,
you know what I mean, right right? They gotta make
some moves, There's no doubt about it. But I think

(53:00):
I think that Chris Carter wouldn't go on national television
with that unless you really talk to somebody or sources,
you know what I mean. Yeah, somebody who's who's plugged
in and it given his track record of four years
at all his stops, it would fit in. Would he
come back and give it one more shot, you know,

(53:21):
without urban Meyer at Ohio State thinking that he maybe
can finally win a Big ten title. I don't know,
but to give up a job for a legendary franchise
like the Green Bay Packers would be hard. I don't know.
I don't want to see it, but hey, we'll see,
we'll see. Time will tell what Jim Harbaugh decides to

(53:44):
do all right. Coming up next, we got the great
Eddie House, NBA champion, perfect person to talk to with
all this Lebron stuff floating around. You remember he teamed
with Lebron in Miami, so keeping a chance to come
back and play with Lebron in Cleveland. House playing with Lebron.
But you know, but Rob he fits that that Kyle

(54:05):
core promote right, No, no, no, the ran like role
players definitely want to play with Lebron stopping you know,
catch shoot, catching shoot guys and all that. So, h
all right, it's the Eye Couple of Fox Sports Radio.
Keep it locked. You hear that little house beat behind that.
That's appropriate because it's time for our main man, Eddie House,

(54:26):
about to join the Eye Couple, E House. What's happening man?
How you doing? Oh my gods, how y'all feeling to night? Right?
You're getting ready for this Christmas holiday? I hate Christmas.
I'm not grant just it's just everybody looks hey, stopped,

(54:47):
the presses, everybody what everybody looking for something? Oh? I
got you? I hear you that. Probably that probably started
when you got that big NBA contrast. Everybody really looking
for something. Once you made the NBA, right, it never stops.
All right, man, Well, look, I'm sure you're aware of

(55:09):
all that's been going on with this, Kevin Durant saying
he don't really stars don't play with Katie House. Uh,
you just just just give us your take, man, what
you think? Did you read that story? Yeah? I read
that story. My take is, why would a star want
to go play with another star? And in the era

(55:30):
of branding, right, everybody trying to create their brand and
build their brand, So why would you go somewhere where
somebody already has their brand and every That's the only
thing people are really talking about. You cannot move forward.
There's not gonna be one guy that plays with Lebron
James is gonna be bigger than Lebron James. Eddie, you

(55:51):
don't get. And the only thing you get is when
Lebron doesn't, you know, loses another championship, you get blamed
that he doesn't have enough. Am I right, I'm not
gonna go all that way, but he has to have
the just the thing with him, with Lebron, you have
to have the right personnel around him. You look at it.
You have to have shooters knocked down shooters. You have

(56:12):
to have that, and then you have to have another playmaker,
another guy that could go get it and also make plays.
That's why Miami was successful the years in Cleveland. Yeah,
Kyrie went down, but you still had Kevin Love Canno
that you had guys that can knock down shot. Right now,
I don't think that the Lakers have not well, I
don't think. I know the Lakers don't have knocked down
shooting out there. And Brandon Ingram is a guy who's

(56:34):
gonna stop. He's a ball stopper. I believe he's similar
to Carmela to me as far as the way that
he gets his offense. It all goes through him and
everything stopped and everybody just watches him go to work.
You're talking about Lebron and I'm talking about brandon Ingram.
That why it doesn't work. Yeah, that's why it doesn't work.
That's why I'm not working like that because he's a

(56:54):
ball stopper. Will he be traded? What's gonna happen? Be
a part of that trade. Get Anthony Davis. That's their plans,
the play, that's their playing rob that's their plan, no doubt, no, doubt.
I mean, and hey, if you can get after everybody
is everybody can go. If we could get after the Davis,
whatever y'all need will make that happen. And if they

(57:17):
could get at that's how they have to be feeling
in LA. And if they get after the Davis, that
that is a paradigm shift a little bit. Andy, I
we were talking about Chris Bosh and all that he sacrificed.
You know, when he was in Miami and I knew
you were there, his numbers were better than his last
two years when he went down to sixteen point six rebounds.
But I would say this, Chris Bosh still was an

(57:40):
All Star and he got two championships, and I think
he's gonna be a Hall of Famer because of those
championships and because of being viewed is that third wheel
in the Big Three? Do you think he would have
he if you asked him today, would he have gladly
sacrificed what he did to get what he got in Miami?
Or we had rather stayed as the number one guy

(58:02):
on the team. That's pretty good, but you know he's
not getting close to a championship. But he would have
said I would do it all over again in a heartbeat.
There's no way you can't trade numbers for championships. That's
one thing you can never do. You know how precious
those things are to get and just to get there.
And he was. He was just as big as it was.

(58:24):
It was. Yeah, but see, nobody's gonna be bigger than
the Bron. Even how big Dwayne Wade is in Miami,
Lebron was still the marquee name. He was still bigger
than those two guys. And they were able. That's the
one thing that they were able to do. Hey, no,
everybody checked their ego and it was never about who
who's the man. I'm the man, You're the man. No,
it was just, hey, let's win these championships as many

(58:46):
as we can while we can. Yeah. The only problem
with that is I still think Dwayne Wade had an
advantage because he had won a championship before Lebron were
that eaquity but stupid gay and another Hall of Famer, Right, No,
I got that, but it wasn't it. Still he won
a championship and and that wasn't the case for for
um uh bosh. And I think that's why Football Boss's

(59:10):
career to me as now that it shakes out, Yes
he has the championships, but it's more like a footnote.
Nobody thinks of him, but what would he had not?
You know, nobody think him. You can't call yourself a
hoop historian if you don't think of him, because he
was just a bigger part of those championships as as
as everybody else on that team was, and he was

(59:31):
probably he was obviously the third option on that team.
But if you're the third option, you are a huge
part of a championship. He got the rebound, didn't he
get the rebound and kick it out? He got the yeah? Yeah,
he got yeah yeah, So see rob see yeah, whatever
you got, you got. And I'm just telling you, you know,

(59:53):
but that's keep line right there. Kevin and Kevin Durant
spoke the truths the gospel. Finally, it was straight real talk.
And I'm telling you, Lebron won't get that guy Eddie
House that he's looking for. And when he came here
without knowing for sure he was gonna get a guy,
told me all I needed to know that he wasn't

(01:00:14):
about it was about living in La and that lifestyle
and winning was secondary to him. Lebron never went anywhere
where he didn't have him figured out first, and this
one he left himself open. And if nobody shows up,
it's gonna be four years here and no championships in
Los Angeles. Well, I heard if on that. You know,
they say it was a fifth We all be drunk, right,

(01:00:34):
But that's not the case. If they're gonna make a move,
there's no way that Magic Johnson's gonna sit on his hands,
Robert link is gonna sit on their hands. They're gonna
make a move. They have to do it. Now. This
is when you have to do it. The buzz is
the highest it's gonna get, you know, and so they
got to take advantage of it. And believe me, they
are working on something. Eddie. Where Kevin Durant's comments, I mean,

(01:00:56):
I thought it was a long shot for him to
go to the Lakers anyway if he leaves Golden State,
But now, I mean, after saying all this, it's hard
to imagine him going to the Lakers if he leaves
Golden State. Let's assume that after this season, where do
you think is the best place for him to go
or where he might go? Let me play devil advocate.

(01:01:17):
What if that's all hyping gas. He's just pumping people
up because he's about to go over there and say, yeah,
look how toxic it is. But when I get there,
look how everybody can co exist, Look how we can
do that. You don't that mean, hey, listen, let's just
play that. That could happen. But again then he actually, ironically, Eddie,
I said it earlier. He is one superstar that would

(01:01:39):
be a great fit with Lebron. Yes, he wouldn't. He
a guy that can shoot, create his own shot. You
can't stop his shot, I mean, and they'll be able
to do some things like some unprecedent. You talking about
maybe winning Golden State, trying to win four. They can
win four in a row, right y'all? Talking crazy? Man?
I want to turn the show self it to your ears.

(01:02:00):
That's what usually happens. You don't like what you're here,
and you'd be like that though, that's crazy. That's cy
Eddie speaking of crazy. If you look in the Western Conference,
you got Minnesota, Utah, New Orleans, and Houston. And I'm
not even gonna throw in San Antonio all out of
the playoffs right now. I know it's early, but do

(01:02:21):
you see any of those teams not making it, Like,
do you think Houston might not make it the New
Orleans or how do you see you know who's gonna
fall out of this race in the West May It's
this is just one of those situations you don't know.
It's just I mean, look at Denver's up. Who would
have thought that Denver up topping the Clippers up? Who

(01:02:42):
would have thought that? Nobody right? Who would have thought
all these other Houston would have played the way they've
been playing. Nobody thought san Antonio being down a Utah,
Nobody would have thought that. So it's not surprising. Nothing
will surprise me in the Western Conference. So I think
that the teams that are the best coach and have
veteran guys once Chris, when once we start moving into January,

(01:03:05):
you'll start staying where everything is gonna start landing, where
how guys are, how teams are really gonna be, And
you're gonna see some of these teams that ran off
in early on are gonna start falling back to some
of these teams that know how that it's a long run.
So I wouldn't be surprised to see san Antonio fly
back in there. Houston is the one team that you
look at. They're not defending and they're not scoring. So

(01:03:26):
those two things, how can they get back up in there.
I'd be shocked if they don't make it. Let me
all right, let me ask you this, who's the second
best team in the West. Do you think obviously Golden
Stakes the best? Who's the second to get records? Well,
who's the second best team in the West? Playing right
now is Denver, period and they're playing. If Denver faces

(01:03:50):
the Lakers in the playoffs, I'm going with the Lakers
because of Lebron Well, whenever you get a seven game series,
I want to go with the guy who with a
team that as the best player on the team as well.
But when you look at the overall team, I think
from top to bottom, the way that Denver plays gives
Blakers a little bit of some issues. I think that

(01:04:12):
having that big that can pass, bringing that shot blocker
JaVale McGee away from the basket, now you don't have
a rent protector, you don't have great perimeter defenders. So
you could take advantage of a lot of things that
the Lakers like to do and take advantage of other teams.
You could flip it on them, actually go right back
at them with some different kind of looks, and he
who's the best team in the East. I've gotta go

(01:04:37):
with Toronto Toronto. I think Toronto's playing. They're playing, you know,
Detroit's playing playing great bat. Dwayne Casey's doing a great
job out there. But I think Toronto. I think Kyle
Lowry figured it out, get everybody else involved, take his
shots when he needs to, and when he takes him
he's not taking high volume shot, but he's taking his

(01:04:58):
shot the right shot, and he's shooting at a high percentage.
So I like what they're doing right now out there
in Toronto. Eddie, you were a shooter. What do you
make of this Marquel fault situation? Oh? Man? Uh? Unfortunate
for him he has that that situation where you would
buy herve damage with nerve damage in his shoulder. I mean,

(01:05:21):
it's pretty tough, you know, if you have nerve damage anywhere,
it's pretty tough to do anything that you want to do,
let alone, if it's in your shooting shoulder. So you know,
I just hope that if that's the case, that he
could somehow, you know, get the therapy needs to try
to get back in show people that he can play
ball it because right now he's looking like the biggest
bus side of Pick and Stamp Boy. Even instead of Jordan, Hey,

(01:05:44):
don't rip my mask. He's up there in the Hashim's
to beat, you know, Uh, LaRue Martin was that the
guy from Yeah, all right, Eddie House, he took it
to the house as always. Man, we appreciate you joining
us every week, Eddie. You guys man, I don't even know. Man.
I'm just gonna keep shaking my head. You're still my man,

(01:06:07):
has Man. That's right. We truthtellers. I'm not allow I'm
a reporter, you know that, Eddie House. Right, we bring facts,
don't bring feelings to a fact. I got right. All right,
we got more Lebrian coming up, but first let's bring
in Dab Carson for the latest in sports, Yeah, gentleman.

(01:06:28):
Starting in the NFL, another rough day for the Denver Broncos.
Another injury. They placed leading receiver Emmanuel Sanders on injured
reserve except for a ruptured achilles in practice. They did
claim receiver Andre Holmes on waivers from the Bills. Jets
quarterback Sam Darnold was a full participant in today's practice
as he plans to play Sunday in Buffalo against the Bills.

(01:06:49):
Cowboys running back is Zekiel Elliot's appealing the NFL's thirteen thousand,
three hundred and sixty nine dollars fine for und sportsmanlike conduct.
Slapped with the fine because he dropped twenty one buck
into that Salvation Army Kittle following a touchdown in Dallas's
Thanksgiving Day win over Washington. They should have fined him
twenty six thousand and then given thirteen thousand to the

(01:07:10):
Salvation Army and in the league could have kept the
other thirteen thousand, twenty one dollars. How cheap was that? Well,
that's it, you know, that's this jersey number. So yeah,
well making twenty one hundred. I didn't know that he's cheap.
He was. To have a guy standing there with twenty
one hundred dollars he had twenty one, twenty one people

(01:07:31):
would have been diving into that bowl or or you
know what, if it would have been me, it would
have been twenty one in singles. It would have been
all in single Who was he gonna put that in
his uniform? We're gonna put it like in the goalpost
like to did with a sharpie. That's why bring a
briefcase out there. Well, we have a big announcement today
of which cities will house the eight XFL teams during

(01:07:55):
its inaugural twenty twenty season. They are Dallas, Houston, New York, LA,
Saint Louis, Tampa, Seattle, and Washington, d C. Wait a minute, Deb,
you hear that. It sounds like crickets to me. Yeah,
are you kidding me? Stop thinking? I'm not excited at
all about it. I'm excited about the other league, the

(01:08:17):
American uh, the Alliance of American Football. But Deb, the
XL there's a tall there's a tall building in Detroit
called the Pop Scott Building, and that's what Vince McMann
should go to the top with all that money and
just throw it off. It's the same exact idea. He
wouldn't get the tax right off for that. No. I

(01:08:37):
like the other league because it's going to start right
after the Super Bowl. I would watch football year round though,
so full confession, Rummer would be, I mean, you know
you're looking for something at that point, so I couldn't
deb check it out. Damn. Everybody said that when they
went to Europe. Oh, everybody loves football. They think they
get to close the league down. I don't. I'm telling
you it's overkilled with football. I didn't get that league

(01:08:59):
on my television though. I'll get this league on my
television here in the States, especially in this day. I
want to see what it is. But I'll be surprised.
It's gonna be fun. Just a couple of quick notes
to the Cardinals acquired six time All Star first baseman
Paul Goldschmidt from the Diamondbacks. And finally, guys in the NHL. Wednesdays,

And Rob let's get to a few more calls. People

(01:10:02):
been waiting the way in on the lebron kd situation
up at eight seven seven ninety nine on Fox eight
seven seven nine nine six sixty three sixty nine. Let's
start with Rodney in Pennsylvania. Rodney, welcome to the Eye Couple.
Hey guys, how's it going? Man? Thanks for taking my call?

(01:10:24):
I got a what kind of basketball are you watching? Man?
To compare the Cavaliers with the Los Angeles Lakers is
like night and day. First of all, Lebron came to
that team fifteen years into the league and their philosophy
in Laker Land is to defend, rebound, block shots, and

(01:10:46):
attack the paint. And to do that at the agent
and all the miles that he's got on him, it's
to me, it's commendable. Now. The fact is is that
he knew that they were going to put that team
together to do that, and what has to happen is
is that he's got to have a number of shooters.
It's gonna come to that team and and bring all

(01:11:08):
of that together so that they can. They hired those
guys to hustle. They hired those guys uh to be
uh head knockers. Then that's what they've been. You know,
those guys are hustlers. And then and he hired some guys,
veteran guys who could play the game that the Lakers said.
But the fact that k D has something to say

(01:11:30):
about lebron k D has yet to carry any team
to a final. He bustled Bun in the championship and
he's the reason that the that the won. He stop
it stop they were stop because he won two championships

(01:11:59):
over the Braun was the MVP. Tway, I don't take
k these championships away from him. He did a great job.
You can't don't sit here and act like having Steph
Curry and Clay Thompson and Dremond on the court isn't
a huge advantage for k did it do but lead
that team least same thing. Yes she did, he won

(01:12:21):
the two MVPs. Yes she did. He didn't lead him.
That's saying Andrea Wodollar led him to the championship in
twenty five got the MVP. Didn't lead, he let him rob.
That's why the MVP. You watched basketball. I've been watching
basketball for thirty years. Don't see here and tell me seven. Okay,
did Andre Wodollar lead them to the championship in twenty fifteen?
How do you get the MVP? What do you do?

(01:12:43):
Silly writers gave him the vote? Yeah, I'm because I
wouldn't have voted. There's no way Andrea Goodollar was the MVP.
He was a role player and a very good one.
But Steph Curry average twenty six points. That team was
without him. All I'm saying is that when people just
don't cornbtt Waxwell didn't lead the Celtics to the championship,

(01:13:09):
And yes he did. He was the best towel waiver
in the league when he won that. All right, all right,
all right, let's go to LaVar in Virginia. I didn't
know there was another LaVar varall what's what you named after?
LaVar ball? Na? Na, not at all? What's up? Fellows Day?

(01:13:29):
I love you, Chris, but I like you man? What's
some of them points to say, man, I was come on, man,
it's that like you old f But I just want
to say, you know what Eddie House was saying about
the brand. You know, all right, they said, you know
Durant goes to the Lakers, you know, the takeaway from

(01:13:49):
his brand. But you know, Kevin Katie has an established
a large brand and he had to think about his
brand when he went to Golden State because he hadn't one.
Though he hadn't won. There's a big difference between not
having one and and and trying to win. There's a
big difference. He's already won, He's already beaten Lebron twice.

(01:14:10):
He doesn't need to go help Lebron. It makes no sense.
But okay, well why why did he go to the
state help? But he hadn't won a championship. They didn't
beat him in the championship. That was in the Western
Conference finals or whatever. It wasn't wasn't a there was
a series before the conferences. But he hadn't lost to him, right,

(01:14:33):
But he hadn't lost. He hadn't lost to him in
a championship. It's an interesting topic that he brings up
because I think you could look at it one of
two ways. He's saying that Katie really doesn't have a brand,
and I think he was saying when Katie went to
Golden State, he obviously wasn't thinking of his brand because
he went to the team that beat him three one
or that came back from three one down, and that

(01:14:55):
wouldn't have helped his brand. But on the flip side,
I could say, well, he was also understanding that if
I win championships, it will help my brand. I should
you know what I've I said that Kevin Durant was
the Missaut. I'm ready to call Kevin Durant the Mattaut
today because the m t O at the most truthful

(01:15:17):
of all time because what he said was so on point,
so on money. I mean, I just you don't even know.
I was actually at the Premier studios this morning at

what I mean, And you're just waiting. All right, we're

Christmas is the time of giving, of course, but the

(01:17:11):
New England Patriots, I guess it's always the time of taking, stealing, cheating.
And I like the Patriots, but I mean this latest thing,
I know my partner Rob Parker is ready to pounce.
So let's set the scene for you and then I'm
just gonna let him rant. The Patriots in their last

(01:17:34):
game against the Vikings this weekend. This past weekend, Bill
Belichick and Adam Feeland got into it, and here's what
Feeland had to say about why I just thought the
play was cheap. I wasn't directing towards him. I was
just thought the play was cheap. But like I said,
let the motions get the best of me, because it's
a smart football player. If you are in that situation,

(01:17:55):
why not it's not start cheating because there's no one,
there's no rule against it from a guy going down
and I don't know if he's hurt or not. He
might have been hurt. That's that's fine, that's us. That
is what it is. But like I said, just interesting
timing for I got to go down. Why that's right?
It was Patrick Chung, wasn't it? Yes, yeah, he went down.
There was a play where I believe the Patriots wanted

(01:18:17):
to see basically was accusing them. There was a controversial
call and the Patriots wanted to have extra time to
see if they wanted to challenge. So Patrick Chung, according
to Feeling, faked in injury laying on the field, and
that gave the Patriots time to figure out what they
wanted to do. Bill Belichick told him to shut the

(01:18:39):
heck up, um and in harsher words than that, but
he does. Look, Rob, I want to hear what you're
gonna say. It's undeniable that the Patriots have cheated before Spygate,
deflate Gate, all that, But this could fall under the
lines of game gamesmanship. And I would think you would

(01:19:01):
appreciate that as a baseball guy. No, I don't. And
Adam Deelan is not only a great receiver, he's also
a truth teller. And this is and this is but
this is You're right, there's no rule for it. But
it's just this is why everything that goes on, why
you'll never be able to honestly say that Bill Belichick

(01:19:22):
was the greatest football coach ever. Because there's too much
checkered stuff going on. This is not just the spygate
and the and the the flate gate. Chris. There's uh
Eric Mangini who outed them. There's Josh McDaniels who got
caught but he out caught him about those about Spygate. No,
but my point is, but but these are people who

(01:19:43):
are under his own umbrella, Bill Belichick. Josh McDaniels lost
his job in Denver because he got busted by the
league for what videotaping another team's walk through in London.
All I'm saying is the Patriots, Tom Brady, Bill Belichick
can't be considered if you're gonna be if you're gonna
if you're gonna look at people and second they're the
greatest of all time. They can't have demerits. Tom Brady

(01:20:06):
should have been Derek Jeter. Derek Jeter had a twenty year, flawless,
spotless career with the New York Freaking Yankee. How many
people consider him the greatest of all time? No, but
I'm just talking. But I'm talking about that's the kind
of career Tom Brady should have had. Instead, he's destroying
his phone, he's texting the ballboy one hundred times he cheated?

(01:20:26):
Where's that in his obituary? It'll be in there paragraph. No,
if I'm writing it, it's gonna be in the league.
Tom Brady is the goat, and Bill it'll say Tom
Brady coma who was once suspended four games for deflating

(01:20:48):
football's illegally stop it somehow luckily won five supervis That's
the lead I would write, Rob, you look, this is
fine and again and as a baseball guy, you see
that's what that's what robs me wrong about you. You
think cheating gamesmanship all that's fine in baseball, but let

(01:21:11):
somebody do it in football, and you're just ready to throw,
you know, throw them into the clink as they used
to say. But but the only difference is is you
have to be honest, Chris that they got caught and
busted and suspended. I mean, and Bill Belichick had to
pay a five hundred thousand dollars fine, right, it was

(01:21:31):
the largest fine ever and the team lost too was
the two draft picks. I mean, it was a big,
hefty fine. And uh, I think that that hurt Bill
Belichick and the Tom Brady stuff. All Tom Brady had
to do was come clean, and he would have got
a fine and never been suspended on his record. In instead,
he he refused to all to to to become clean

(01:21:53):
and to help the investigators. But I do I know
only one Tom Brady each cut busted cheating that you
rip gay Lord Perry for me. You know what did
he ever get busted? And everybody knew he had vasoline
on his cap or whatever. That was just sweat. That

(01:22:14):
was what kind of boards they call him, that he'd
have in his pocket, boards in his back pocket. Come on,
you can't love gay Lord Perry, and I know you do.
I don't know without loving Tom Brady and Bill Belichick.
But a lot of that gay Lord Perry was gayemanship
when it was not the gaylorship, when it was nothing,

(01:22:37):
cheating when it was nothing on his hand. He was
just trying to make it like he had something in
your head. Well, all right, you got you, you got
your little rant. I know you feel better. We'll get
back to Lebron and Katie on the next side. It's
the Eye couple of Fox Sports Radio. Keep it locked.
Couple is large down low. It is the Eye Couple.

(01:23:00):
I'm Chris Brussoud alongside my partner, Rob Parker, and we're
coming to you live from the Guycode Fox Sports Radio Studios.
Fifteen minutes could save you fifteen percent or more in
your car insurance. Visit guecode dot com for a free
rate quote. And we're going back to Lebron and KD.

(01:23:20):
That's what everybody wants to talk about. That's what we
want to talk about. And Kevin Durant really spoke a
lot about Lebron, James and Rob. The thing is, you
don't it's it's it's interesting that a player would talk
that much about another player too, don't you think? And
they're friends. But he, I mean, he didn't mince words

(01:23:42):
or anything like that. I loved every minute of it.
No I was. I loved it too. I mean, whether
you agree or not, it was. I mean, it was
great stuff that he said. It really was to be
able to get him to open up and be really honest.
You just don't have guys saying that, not if you're
still gonna compete again somebody, do you know what I mean?
You usually would just leave that alone. Hey, that's his business.

(01:24:04):
I'm not worried about what's going on. But he gave
you some insight. To it and reasons why. And I
have to commend him. I thought it was I thought
it was a good read and interesting and it says
a lot. And I know all the Lebron people out there, well,
if you don't want to play with the King and
something wrong with you, thank you, you're not good enough.

(01:24:25):
You get all you get her championships with Lebron. Yeah, yeah,
unless you were in eleven years and Cleveland the only
one one, unless you were Cleveland for eleven years, you know.
And with that something that's important. That might be one
of the driving factors for Durant to open up competing
against the guy. Is it possible that Durant, you know,

(01:24:47):
he wants to I don't know if I should say
Sully Lebron's reputation, but how about bringing back to earth
a little bit, you know, bring him down to earth
a little bit. Everybody's got him on this pedestal obviously,
and does Durant want to just bring him down a
few notches, because that's somebody he's competing with, not only now,
but in terms of their legacy, Like that's the guy,

(01:25:10):
right that, I mean, Durant probably if he wants to
be viewed as the best player of his generation. That's
the guy he's gotta uh topple. Yes, but I don't.
I really don't believe that's his motivation. Not for guy
who just beat Lebron twice in the NBA Finals and
was the MVP. I really don't believe. I hear what
you're saying, Chris. To put it out there, but I

(01:25:32):
think that that was a really honest answer. I read
those quotes and said, Wow, how we're freshing is that
someone's just, you know, been asked a question. And and
for me it connected because I've been saying this forever
and I'm the hater and I hate Lebron and why
do you hate Lebron so much? And all that that's
all over here? Why why? I don't want to ask

(01:25:54):
me that people have stopped me in the street tell
you something, But you know what they say, Yeah, why
do you hate Lebron? Or it'll be like two guys,
two buddies, walking on and they'll go, hey, that's that
Lebron hater. That's what the that's what they like. They'll
chap their buddy and say, hey, that's that Lebron looking

(01:26:15):
at him and go one, No, sound like Aaron Rodgers me,
you got me, You got me mixed up with Chris
bus right. Oh no, speak, I'm glad you went there,
because we're about to get into that. And Kevin Durant,
we played his quote earlier about how saying like a

(01:26:37):
Kyle Korver would fit with the Lebron because he's just
a spot up shooter. But a young guy a Kawhi
Leonard who can do a lot of things on his own,
you know it's not gonna be a great fit. But
he said something else that a lot of the people
are jumping on and let's let's hear that now from
DJ Alex tight Shirt, So you're right. Earlier we talked

(01:26:57):
about how he was gonna have issues with young on
star our court developing stars. But this is about Kevin
Durant's opinion on the media influence surrounding Lebron, and I quote,
so much hype comes from around Lebron from other people.
He has so many fanboys in the media. Even the
beat writers just fawn over him. I'm like, we're playing
basketball here and it's not even about basketball at certain points.

(01:27:20):
So I get why anyone wouldn't want to be in
the environment because it's toxic, especially when the attention is
b us attention fluff. It's not Lebron's fault at all.
It's just the fact you have so many groupies in
the media that love to hang on every single word
he says. End quote. I'm crying now. Jealousy could give

(01:27:42):
me a chain, Come on, Alex, like a cash register.
That was jealousy. No wast As much love as Lebron gets,
he also gets plenty of hate he does. It's criticized
as much as whole guys plenty. You guys have loud voices.

(01:28:07):
People here. Look now, look you said I'm a fanboy.
First of all, you know number one on this list
because what he was talking about Nick Wright on First
Things First, you know that. And number two Colin cowherd
our Man, he had to be on that list too,
and you number three. I'll say this, I'll say this
years ago. Love him, but I like him years ago. Yea,

(01:28:29):
your impression needs help. Needs one years ago when Lebron
was younger at first sit in Cleveland, and you do
you remember you and I were in the rotation we
go against Skip on First Take on the other network
all the time now and Skip was so anti Lebron
and I I've said it many times. I do like

(01:28:49):
Lebron and and all that, but I came off as
like the pro Lebron guy. And when now, when I'm
on with Shannon Sharp or when I'm on with Nick Right,
people think I'm anti Lebron. I am objective. I tell
the truth. I bring facts, not feelings. So again, when

(01:29:10):
I'm on with you or Skip, oh he's kissing Lebron's
But no, I'm just bringing balance. When I'm on with
Shannon or Nick, people think I'm a Lebron hater. So
I bring the truth. I bring the real you not bring.
I bring the truth all the time. I'm a reporter.
I'm not a fan boy for anybody. I'm not. I'm not.
You are you are? I knew you're gonna see four

(01:29:33):
seven and one and you're gonna see he's having a
great or here's the here's the this is how we
find out. Is he all pro this year? No he's
not all. Is he making the Pro Bowl? No, he's
not making a Pro Bowl A little record. No, I'm
not a fan boy. But but what the Rent said
is so true. There's so many so I don't want
to start. Come on, I don't want among writers. You

(01:29:55):
don't want to name writer. I don't want to And
he said, and I even love that, he said, even
beat writers. He knows the difference between the guy who
just shows up once in a while and the guy
who covers the team every day that gets credit. You
know that, Christ But that's because writers. But you know
why Katie said that, because KAD does get a lot
of criticism. Here's the thing, though, why does KD get criticized?

(01:30:17):
He's just too sensitive? Well, but but let's be honest.
The things he gets criticized for, the burner account, you know,
go and tell the fan to shut the f up
like that, Those are things you should get criticized for. Yeah. No,
I'm not saying he shouldn't get criticized for that. But
he understands too, that Lebron. There's a lot of guys

(01:30:38):
out there who are fans. There's a lot of guys
uh impersonating sports writers and now I don't know that
bloggers and they work for websites and out of their
basements or whatever, and they watch YouTube all the time.
I'm just telling you, I would say, really, if I
wanted to clean up the sports writing business. I would
take away half the credentials they give out. Chris, you've

(01:30:59):
been the games. Who are these people? There's only two
newspapers in town and there's fifty guys there. Who are
they working for? Well, you know that every city's got
his small local papers and websites and radio people. It's ridiculous.
There's a lot of guys who are just aren't good,
aren't really accredited reports. I just think a lot of

(01:31:22):
what Katie, again, I do think you're right. There's some truth,
certainly to what he was saying earlier about why guys
guys that don't fit with Lebron and all that. But
to me this did seem to stem from a little
jealousy when he says that it's all fluff and it's bs,
you know, stuff around Lebron. No, Lebron gets praised for

(01:31:43):
opening up a school in Akron for at risk youth.
He gets praised for speaking out and having his Miami
heat teammates warehoodies in honor of Trey von Martin. He
those are the things that Lebron gets credit for, and
Kevin Durant is having burner accounts and telling fans to
shut up and on. I mean, you don't. Don't You've

(01:32:06):
done stuff that deserves criticism, and Lebron has done stuff
that deserves praise. You can't call that stuff BS. Lebron's
running freaking you know, media companies and doing shut Up
in Dribble, which is actually a really important and significant series.
He's doing this shop that's giving people insight into athletes.

(01:32:27):
Year ago. It was a good idea. But you see
what I'm saying, Robbling, you can't just call the stuff
Lebron's doing off the court that people love him for BS.
I mean, that's just I'm not saying that. Okay, I'll
agree with that, But I think what he's also talking
about is when some of these guys act like they're
like some sort of real reporters and say, hey King,

(01:32:50):
Uh you ask over you're James, Hey James, Hey King, James,
don't you feel like you lost that championship because you
don't have enough help? Like that's question the last you're
making junk on nobody nobody's answer. You never heard about James. Yeah,

(01:33:11):
here you go, you back in your feelings, bring it,
bring it tight? Shirt? Uh? What did I tell you, Chris?
H I told you that I only recognize one King
United States, and that's Burger King. That's that one. Did
that better not get a rim shot? Thank you? Thank you?

(01:33:31):
All right? Eight seven seven ninety nine on Fox eight
seven seven nine nine, six sixty three sixty nine. It's
time for you to weigh in. Isn't the media's fault
that Lebron hasn't been able to attract the second superstar?
We will continue the conversation with you. Next, it's the
Eye Couple Fox Sports Radio. All right, it's the Eye

(01:33:57):
Couple of Chris Brussard and Rod Parker. Were brought to
you by Discover Card because Discover treats you like you
would treat yourself. And also home of the funkiest Christmas
music you're going to hear in this nation. That's DJ
Alex Tischer bringing it all right, we've been talking about Lebron.

(01:34:18):
James and Kevin Durant and k D had a lot
to say about Lebron. Rob and I have too, and
so do you. So we're gonna open up the phone lines.
It's eight seven seven ninety nine on Fox eight seven
seven nine nine, six sixty three sixty nine. Give us
a show. Let's start, Rob with Troy in Indiana. Troy,

(01:34:39):
welcome to the odd couple. How you doing, man? Great?
How are you? Oh good? I'm just trying to figure
out how why is it that Lebron is always the
narrative for everything in the NBA. Man, We are not
since the last five years, bro, we are not in
the Lebron era no more. We are in the Steph
Curry era. And it proves the point when Steph Curry

(01:35:00):
is out, Golden State is a five hurds a team
with Kevin Durant leading the league, leading, leading the trail.
You know what I'm saying. So why we always talk
about Lebron? I mean, dude, he three for nine. Three
for nine is good nowhere, nowhere, but except for Rona,
except for Lebron fans, child ball home three out of nine?

(01:35:24):
Right would you tell him, well, Leasi got three? Right? No, no,
but need to do better. Is not a superstar. You
are not a legend in the league. Man. If you
look at the top winners in the league. The reason
we don't talk about Jerry West Will Big Old is
because they didn't win. So what Okay? So Troy, Okay,
you said, where is Lebron? And you talking about all

(01:35:47):
time ranks where you have him here, not a superstar,
he not in the top five. I got him in
the top five. He won his mini championships as Larry Bird.
He get that as many as anybody else in the league.
Also talk about the losses. I mean Rob Parker talks

(01:36:07):
about you know, I have you been listening to the show,
I don't know. Come on some interesting points, Rob. I mean, look,
he can make a strong argument that this has been
the Steph courriera And I mean you you say he
wasn't MVP of the last two finals, obviously that of

(01:36:27):
any of them, but he's been even if you said
it's the Golden State era, I mean he I think
he makes an interesting point of I mean, Lebron James
is talked about at nauseum. No, it's ridiculous, right, but
those are the fan boys that they just cannot get enough.
But even in the next like I mean, even in
the negative, like those skips viewed this. You know, Lebron's

(01:36:49):
public enemy number one. Yeah, but he's talking about him too. No,
but I'm just saying, like, even but wherever it is,
Lebron is the narrative. That's a good That's a good
call right there, because yeah, we talk about Lebron, like
him or hate him, right, love him? People talk about him.
All right, Let's go to Jerry in Cleveland. Jerry, you're

(01:37:10):
on with the Eye Couple. Yeah, I just nod has
no business being in the playoffs business. Nah, they went undefeated. Man,
you were not there. We're not talking. You got a
Lebron question or statement? Okay, let's move to the next one.

(01:37:32):
All right, Dan in DC, Dan, you're on with Rob
and Chris. Hey, guys, what's happening. It's a fascinated conversation
about than I want to to me, I think I
pee Duran's hole card because the thing that's good about
step coming out because I'm like, people skip over the

(01:37:53):
fact Durant is leading, right. We just kind of like
we talked more about him and Dreymond Danny Jo. But
to me, it was the cats out of the bag.
Now we know why Draymond was in the shop talking
about you know, Lebron just became Lebron. Remember that, we
were like, what was he? I was like, what was
he doing? I think he was trolling the rat because

(01:38:14):
he knew he was leaving. Even Yeah, you get him. Yeah,
help us out. I'm saying. I'm saying the Golden State
if I heard that in the you remember what happened
at the parade, right when they were trolling the rat right,
you had the right, right, we got it, Okay, then

(01:38:36):
you then you had I heard back then Golden State
bought he was gonna lebron them this year. Remember he
was he could go, he could leave, right, he was
over trouble articulating what he wanted to. Yeah, and I'm
not convinced. I know people are saying, uh, it's automatic
that he's leaving. Chris, we both agree that it's this

(01:38:58):
year or next year. I'm not convinced automat if he
wins another championship and it's the MVP, I'm not convinced
that he's leaving. Well, here's the thing, Rob, they're not
he I mean, they're gonna win as long as he stays. No,
that's what I'm saying. Like, whenever he leaves, it's gonna
be most likely after winning the championship, right right. No,
what I'm saying, I'm not everybody thinks that the Draymond Green, Oh,

(01:39:21):
he's it's a done deal. I'm not convinced it's a
done deal yet. Yeah, I mean, I look, I think
he's definitely leaving, like you said, either this summer or
the following summer. There's a good they got so long
to make up, you know. And if they have an
incredible run and they win the championship, they probably will,
right and then they and then they're gonna open that

(01:39:43):
new building and all that in San Francisco. Not to
mention Rob, he doesn't, that's a way to I mean,
first of all, a four peat, no one has done
that sent except Bill Russell. And remember if you're you
won more than Lebron too, exactly. And also, do you

(01:40:04):
want to leave uh the Silicon Valley in a bad
way or in a good way? Do you know what
I mean? For down the road? Chris? You know what
I mean. I don't think you want to walk out
of there and and kick over the coffee table on
the way out. Yeah, a lot of good business. He's
actually done some good things there, right, So I don't

(01:40:24):
think he wants to just throw that all away and
walk out like a big baby. Yeah. I mean, look,
if he leaves, I mean, obviously, like you said, you're
saying the way it's done now, and he I think
he still could leave this summer and it not looked bad.
You know what I'm saying, Like not running away from
Draymond or anything. It's not it's not guaranteed as all
I'm saying. I think, I mean, you got a lot

(01:40:46):
of time left so and I mean, look, we know
there's been a lot of talk about New York, right yea,
But if he were to stay in Golden State next season,
the New York climb it there, so to speak, would
would clear up, like Christos Porzingis probably won't even come
back this year. So why are you going to New

(01:41:07):
York not knowing what KP is going to be? Like?
If you stay in Golden State enough, if he really
has his heart set on going to New York, you
could sit back and see what they do with that team.
Does KP play next year? And does he play great?
Is he an All Star? He looks like he'd be
a great second guy to you? Okay, how do does
Kyrie stay in Boston? Like? Who? Maybe there's somebody else

(01:41:30):
you could go to New York with, you know what
I'm saying, Yeah, I mean not Brooklyn. I just say
that because because they have money, They have money, signed
two players. But if he's I think going to Brooklyn
is worse than going to the Clippers. And I don't mean,
you know, I'm not trying to disrespect either team. I'm

(01:41:50):
just saying we all say, if you're going to La,
you go to the Lakers, right, you don't go to
the Clippers. But I think, yeah, but shape than yeah.
But but but the only problem I say to you
is I know that you know because Brooklyn's been down
or whatever and they made a run. But Chris, the
only thing is, as long as James Dolan is the

(01:42:11):
owner of the Knicks, is not an attractive place. Well,
he spends money, it's but yeah, but he spends money,
but he hasn't had any success and he's had a
lot of problems, uh since he's been there. And that's
why the Knicks have had a lot of problems getting
people and having this thing work out. I mean, did
a number did a number one valued franchise right right?
And playing in a place like Madison Square Garden, and

(01:42:33):
and fans who are die hard, you know, Nick fans,
they just they act like they just won the championship
last year. Chris weren't even boring last right, all right,
that's that's how people a right. Let's go to Derek
and Louisiana. Derek, welcome to the Eye Cover. Hello. I

(01:42:55):
just wanted to know about They said that nobody wants
to play with Lebron, but it really wasn't but one
problem to free agent, which was Paul George that decided
not to go to the Lake. But he started with
Oklahoma before Lebron. He decided went to the Lakers. So
I was still understanding that, Derek, I don't understand that

(01:43:19):
the George didn't have to sign with Oklahoma City. He
could have played with the Lakers. Everybody. Kyrie Irving also
remember he left. He laughed the trade out out of
There's some truth there, I mean, whether you agree completely
with what Durant said. There is evidence that guys don't
want to play with Lebron. What's the caller's name again, Derek, Derek,

(01:43:39):
the Kyrie. The Kyrie didn't say something to you a
guy you want a championship with, and he just was like,
I want out. I don't care where. I just want
out of here. I don't want to play with him. Yeah,
that made it look real bad. But you know he's
trying to he wasn't that good. Well, he's a good player,
but he wasn't that known of a player for le Okay,

(01:44:01):
he was the first pick in the draft. Stop it,
he was a known player. Stop well, hold on, Lebron
did raise his stature. But don't say him in that.
But don't say you didn't know he was a Come on,
That's what I'm saying, Chris. Don't say you didn't know
who he was, all right? Man? Rob getting salty with
the callers. I'm salty. You know what? Hey, my phone

(01:44:23):
is ringing his plants on the other lie, Come on, Alex,
where are you tonight? You know what? Are you still
on vacation? Are you off? I'm here. I'm waiting for
a good Joe. Oh, let's get the paramedics on. Paramedics
on standby that. But also our Fox Sports Radio teammate

(01:44:45):
Arnie Spaniard. I give I'm giving Arnie some points for courage. Yea,
the heart, but he is about to get torn up.
He's about to slide into the hot seat. And you
know how we do people in the You know what
the best thing about this with Arnie Spaniel is that
the uh. The paramedics are going to be white at

(01:45:07):
his door in Vermont waiting one right, right to take
up all those burns, take care of those. Yes, get
you nice and then get the ointment wrap you up
all right. Before we get to the hot seat, though,
let's bring in Deb Carson for the latest in sports. Dad,
Deb All right, yes, can you talk Arnie out of it?
Just tell him that it's not good for his pacemaker.

(01:45:30):
You know what we got. We gotta get you on
the hot seat one. Yes, you sure you want? You
want someone? I will, I'll take some of that. Yeah. Hey,
Bears fans have something to look forward to. Sunday Night.

shoulder injury. He plans to play Sunday night against the Rams.

(01:45:53):
He was a full participant in practice today for the
first time this week. Jets quarterback Sam Darnold also a
full participant today as he recovers from his foot injury.
He says he's going to play Sunday against the Bills
in Buffalo. That puts Josh McCowen back on the bench.
Former Lakers garden and former Nick's head coach Derek Fisher
will be the new head coach of the w NBA's

(01:46:14):
LA Sparks. Have action going on right now in Orlando overtime, guys,
less than a minute to go in ot Nuggets lead
the Magic one one sixteen and the Nuggets of six
in a row coming into this matchup. Wizards lead the
Hawks one oh three and ninety six eleven ago in
the fourth quarter. Getting it done without John Wall tonight.

(01:46:34):
Seeing your check engine light come on can be stressful.
The Auto Zone Fixed Finders Service will help you trouble
shoot the problem for free. See store for restrictions and details. Finally, guys,
some news from USA Gymnastics. They have filed for Chapter
eleven bankruptcy as they search for a way to reorganize
and stay afloat given the repercussions from the Larry Nasser

(01:46:56):
sexual abuse scandal. They have dozens of lawsuits obviously from
the victims, and they're hoping the insurance policies are going
to pay off those lawsuits because right now they don't
have enough assets to settle the suits. You know what,
I have, No, No, I feel sorry for them, not
one bit. No sympathy for the USA Gymnastics. Nope, but

(01:47:18):
but again, they need to stay afloat long enough for
the insurance policies premiums to continue to be paid so
these these women and girls can can get their lawsuits settled. Right, No,
I get it, It's just that that scandal just just
head scratching and so sad. But we all know that. Well. Again,
a governing body who turns its back in a blind

(01:47:38):
eye when little girls are being molested by a creepy
doctor is disgusting. Yeah, disgusting. Yep, yep, thanks, thank you.
We'll get with you tomorrow. Okay, all right, it's the
Eye couple. Chris Brus sorry, Rob Parker, coming you live
from the Geico Fox Sports radio studios. It's easy to
say fifteen percent or more in your car insurers with Geico.
Go to Geico dot com or call eight hundred nine

(01:48:00):
four seven Auto. The only hard part figuring out which
way is easier, and he agreed to do it. I'm impressed,
but he has stepped into the hot seat. Let me
let me introduce him properly, Arnie Spane. You gotta check
him out. He's on Saturday and Sunday nights from eleven
pm to two am on Fox Sports Radio. His Twitter

(01:48:25):
handle is stinking no jet no g stinking genius one.
He's not gonna be uh, He's gonna be stinking, but
he's not gonna look like a genius when we get
down with me. It's time for the hot seat. Damn son,
the current temperature beyond. Couple are making it hot in here.
Damn the hot seat, Yes, sir, it is the hot

(01:48:51):
Seat the Odd Couple of Fox Sports Radio. It's a
segment where we do every week we invite one of
our Fox Sports teammates to jumping with the Odd Couple
and defend three of their hottest tape. Let's go. Let's
go to night's contestant, none other than the stink Ingenius
Arnie Spanier. Arnie, how you doing good? Good enough with
the small talk. I'm from New York, I'm from the Bronx,

(01:49:12):
and i live on the East Coast. I'm three steps
ahead of everybody else. Let's go. Hey, Arnie, you get
points for being from the Bronx. You know, I'm from Queens.
But that's where it stops. Let's go, all right, let's
get right to it. Topic number one. Arnie span You're
in the hot seat because he says he would not
want Aaron Rodgers as his quarterback. Arnie, you got thirty

(01:49:35):
seconds make your case. I don't want him because, first
of all, he's north of thirty million dollars and it
takes away from my other position. But if I'm gonna
pay a guy one hundred and thirty four million for
a lifetime of a contract, you better not give me attitude.
Roll your eyes playing the coach. It's everybody's fault, but
my fault. I'm tired of this guy. He's got Jake
Cutler disease. He's aloof he feels like he's better than

(01:49:56):
everybody else. He feels like, you know, he's a bigger
name to everybody. He's no better than all the other
great quarterbacks that have played in the NFL. I don't
want him because if his thinking attitude, you could keep
him and you could shoot that contract. Arnie, He's arguably
the greatest person to ever play the position. He can
run with the ball, he can run out of the pocket,

(01:50:17):
he can throw in the pocket. He can make every
toss you want to make. He's already won a super Bowl,
even though his coach has been calling an antiquated offense
and attitude Lebron James doesn't have an attitude. Lebron James
doesn't get blamed when they lost. That comes with superstars.
Sometimes Michael Jordan punched out a teammate. I mean it happens.

(01:50:40):
You apologize right now for comparing Aaron Rodgers to Lebron James.
Lebron James is like the best guy maybe in the
history of the NBA. You're gonna compare Aaron Rodgers to him. Stop?
It does a reason why Lebron has an attitude because
he's the best in the history of the game. Aaron
Rodgers not even close. And yes he's a good quarterback,
but it's not worth that contract at his stinking attitude

(01:51:03):
with the eyes rolling, and I'll call whatever play I
want and I'll just go ahead and be four seven
and one. I'm tired of him blaming everybody else. Arnie,
I got the Bronx cheer for you. What do you
mean he doesn't have the stats and numbers. He has
the number one quarterback rating in the history of quarterbacks.
That's Aaron Rodgers. He has the greatest touchdown the interception

(01:51:23):
ratio four to one is next. Number two is Tom
Brady at two and a half to one. It's not
even close. Aren't you the same guy who came up
with the slogan of the why why travel half safe?
Take the Titanic? What are you talking about? You would
want Aaron Rodgers. It's an unbelievable quarterback and he's won

(01:51:45):
a championship. He's not a guy who's never won. Gee,
I just left you guys bloody one due to technicality
hitting after the battle goes to the stinking genius Ye.
Rob can't follow the rules as one? All right? Topic
number two? Now, aren't he's gonna slide out of the

(01:52:06):
hot tea because Chris Broussard is taking his spot? Rock?
Excuse me? Rob and Arni both think that Tom Brady's
a product of the week AFC East. He's eating up
on poor competition. Chris tell us why that's not the key?
That makes absolutely no sense. You don't win the division
and then go straight to the super Bowl. You still

(01:52:27):
have to beat the other great teams in the AFC.
And how Lebron James You could say he was a
product of a week Eastern conference. He kept getting to
the finals, got their eight straight times. But Tom Brady
gets to the super Bowl and has won. They've beaten
the NFC teams five times in his eight Super Bowls.
And he's not a product of anything but his own greatness.

(01:52:49):
Bill Belichick arguably the greatest coach of all times. Seven
of his seasons he had no time Bradys. Only two
of them were winning seasons. The AFC East is the
worst conference, not in football, but in all of sports.
It's a division, the worst division in all of sports.
I've never seen anything as bad. First of all, the Dolphins,
who start off three at all, lose six of their

(01:53:11):
next nine. The Jets have lost six in a row.
The Bills have made the playoffs one time in seventeen years.
It's easy for Tom Brady to go ahead, win the division.
Then all of a sudden, he's gonna get the top
two seeds, he gets a bye, he gets two home games,
and while he's in the super Bowl. That's real easy.
When you're playing that garbage division of the af you
still have to beat the Steelers, you still have to

(01:53:33):
beat the Ravens and anybody else who has a great
year in the AFC is again, it does you win
your division, that's great, but you still have to go
through the rest of the conference, and they've proven that
when they get to the super Bowl more often than not,
they win it. And they're not just beating AFC East
teams in the super Bowl. Come on, Chris, you know

(01:53:55):
they have six wins every year before the season even starts.
And the difference between winning when you win your division
and having a buy with the best record because they
have those easy cupcake wins is that they only have
to play two games to get to the super Bowl.
Two games usually at home because they wind up with
home field. It's huge. When they go on the road,
they don't win. Looking up, do you know that they

(01:54:19):
don't win? Tom Brady is the luckiest of all time.
And Tom Brady has benefited from playing in the AFC least.
I'm feeling myself. I know I won that one. Points
go to Chris Bruce. That wasn't even close as Rob
Parker's finding. Hey Rob gem Hey, go on up. We're

(01:54:41):
looking for a new producer. What are you doing to me?
All right? Last topic here the hot seat. The our
couple of Fox Sports Radio, aren't He's back in the
hot seat. I don't know if you guys know this,
but he went to high school with Steve kerrback in
the day and ste Baby sat Steve Kerr the stink

(01:55:02):
Ingenius claims that he was a better hooper back in
the day than Steve Kerr. Arnie, you got thirty seconds
make your case. I was better than him in high
school and I'm better than him now. It's just a
poor the part in between that he was better. And yes,
let me tell you something. I'm only two years older,
but I looked ten years jugger than Steve Kerr. He's
got the little lines by his eyes, and I know

(01:55:22):
he's listening up there in San Francisco and he knows
I'm right. Stevie. I saw you shooting the other day.
That back looks like it's tightening up on you. Meanwhile,
I'm still playing three days a week with twenty one
year old and I can't miss a three if my
life depended on it. We come from my high school
with shooters. We have one that's an insistent Pavich. Yeah,

(01:55:43):
what's going on in Vermont today? I legalize weed up
there as well. What are you talking about, Arnie? Are
you crazy? I leave you couldn't take the punch that
Steve Kerr took from Michael Jordan, let alone make it
to the NBA. You're a hack radio guy like all
of us, you know, basketball player. How damn you insult
Steve Kerr? I want when next time I come out

(01:56:06):
to LA, I want mister Oberlin on the basketball court
at UCLA or will go to the better speach. I
want Rob park or the basketball court. And then I'll
call my buddy Kerr and say let's get it on.
And I know he's gonna be afraid to play because
I promise you I'm even a better three point shooter
than the best three point shooter in the NBA. That's him.
I'm better than him right now, he's got that bad back.

(01:56:27):
Let's do it. Let's set it up. I'll show you
trust me. Arnie Spanner, you do not want any of this.
Don't you remember wreck Rick Tallander's article in the Chicago
Sun Times in nineteen ninety six, Chris Bruce Hart my
first team all Media. You don't remember that ahead of
Stephen A. Smith, I had of Rick Bucher, all of

(01:56:49):
these guys, and I say I was the MVP two.
I had the picture of broad I don't remember seeing
Arnie Spaniard in that in that way I don't remember,
honorable mention. I think when you last time you played
against Steve cart you were his babysitter and you beat
him in Nerve whoop. He was two years old, and
I think you're better. And Arenie, the last time you

(01:57:10):
played basketball competitively, they two had laces on the ball.
I watched those at last time I was in that way,
I played at UCLA and I got into a fistfight
on the court. This was like a couple of years ago. Yeah,
I'm getting around. Were you better than Peter Vesty? That's
your generation? Right? Oh? Wow, I'm sorry I had to
do that to you. Guys, I just left you bloody.

(01:57:32):
No way, last round goes to the only one who
has proved that he can ball. I've seen the video
the Sneaking Genius are I seen it? Seen it and
you know what? You know what? Hey, Chris, I gotta
have a conversation with you after this show. O man, Rob,

(01:57:52):
how damn you? Arnie? Are you okay? Has swollen? It
looks like sorry, I had to do that to you.
By the way, by niece plays in fast She's there
now she's a freshman right now there? Wow, money a
goalie at Kent State, so they're near each other. I
might I might go back for our alumni game in January.

(01:58:14):
I'll try to let me know. I may meet you
out there. I'll go watch your play too. Well, well
she plays. She wears Chris's uniform because I think they
were on the same team, just different era. You're searching
for a rim shot. Yes, guy, if you want to

leave us a comment, and you never know, you might
just make it into the Podcast Power Rankings. This week
we're going to talk about the biggest risers of the week.
So what nations, states, and cities have risen the most
in the Podcast Power Rankings. All right, let's go to international. First,

(02:00:33):
the Philippines. They jump Kuwait and move up from thirteen
to eleven. So shout out to the Philippines for showing
the Eye a couple of some love. Wow. Yeah at
number two, Israel, we get love in Israel. Israel moved
up five spots, right, from number eighteen all the way

(02:00:55):
up to number thirteen. And then Mexico met Cico is
showing that I love a couple plenty of respect. We
jumped from number twenty twenty one to number seven. So
now Mexico's moved all the way into the top ten.
And now when you're saying right properly, Mehico, we might

(02:01:16):
even get them to jump some more, right, Mehico, how's Mehico?
All right? We love y'all down in Mehico. There you go,
we got cities. How about Nashville jumped up four spots
from number thirty four to number thirty, So Nashville is
making a move. I love it all right, all right?
What about Sacramento. I know I call it NBA Siberia
when it comes to the basketball team, but the Sacramento

(02:01:39):
has jumped up at three spots from number nineteen to
number sixteen, just like Kings are playing good basketball, finally
they really are. And how about this. You know, it's
not the greatest Wars town in the world, But when
it comes to the odd couple, I gotta give hats
off to Atlanta. They've moved up from the number five

(02:02:00):
to number three. Chris with the down law. Atlanta, Hot Atlanta.
All right, we will be there for Super Bowl all
week long. That's right, Come out and check us out.
The Eye couple will be in Hot Atlanta. All right.
Let's go to states, all right. Number three in the
biggest rises of the weeks among the states, Oregon Rod

(02:02:23):
passed Nebraska to move from number twenty two to number twenty.
So now they're in the rankings top twenty. That's interesting,
becauld you lived in both of those places, right, No,
those are I, believe it or not. Those are two states.
I did not the states this next one. I did
live in Ohio, went to college there, and finished high

(02:02:46):
school there. You know a lot of great people come
from Ohio. Rod, not northeast, so hard Brian James Urban
Meyer me all right. Ohio moved up from number ten
to number eight, alright, and number one. The biggest riser
amongst states Carolina Clight a minute, Wait a minute, Rob G.

(02:03:08):
You can't say Carolina, North Carolina. Carolina North. I don't
know why I did that. North Carolina climbed four spots
from number eleven to number seven. You know MJ lives
in North Carolina, so he was born in Brooklyn, the
same hospital as Mike Tyson really claimed, New York cannot claim.

(02:03:30):
Michael Jordan. Michael Jordan is in New York, New York.
He learned his game in North Carolina. He's from Alright.
It's the couple of Fox Sports Radio. Remember iTunes, Apple podcast,

Are You A Charlotte?

In 1997, actress Kristin Davis’ life was forever changed when she took on the role of Charlotte York in Sex and the City. As we watched Carrie, Samantha, Miranda and Charlotte navigate relationships in NYC, the show helped push once unacceptable conversation topics out of the shadows and altered the narrative around women and sex. We all saw ourselves in them as they searched for fulfillment in life, sex and friendships. Now, Kristin Davis wants to connect with you, the fans, and share untold stories and all the behind the scenes. Together, with Kristin and special guests, what will begin with Sex and the City will evolve into talks about themes that are still so relevant today. "Are you a Charlotte?" is much more than just rewatching this beloved show, it brings the past and the present together as we talk with heart, humor and of course some optimism.
