we have in story, there's plenty to talk about, obviously,

(01:09):
the Patriots, Tom Brady, the Kansas City Chiefs and the
Red Patrick Mahomes. Then you got the NFC, the Rams,
the Saints, Drew Brees, Jared Goff. I mean, just a
number of angles to hit. Not to mention Boogie Cousins
debut tonight with the Golden State Warriors. His debut was

(01:31):
his daybut tonight debut. Okay, okay, I just that just
I just need to pause after that might have been
your worst joke of the Alex worst joke of the show.
I couldn't even play anything for that one. That didn't
even deserve cris. We've only been on for like a

(01:53):
minute and a half. Good night everybody, but that that's
up there. But anyway, we got plenty of gas and
we'll started off at the bottom of the hour with
our you know, we do our Celebrity Corner every Friday.
And Danny Treo an actor, been in some great stuff,

(02:14):
a lot of movies, um con air and I see
him on Fox e loving a lot Rob g Right,
isn't he on Fox eleven with Lee Liz Habib? Yeah,
I see him on there. He's a big sports guy
and and really he's an athlete Los Angeles. So we
will we'll talk about all that with him. It'll be
a good conversation. I think. Are we getting Jose Lee

(02:37):
Jose c Ceto Jose? How how you say it? Just
I see you over there laughing. I ain't even gonna Lopez, Okay,
Jose Ceto Lopez? All right, we might get him. He's
fighting Keith Thurman. I don't know you were by lingual. Yeah,
I'm not. That's why I had trouble with him. That's

(02:59):
too bad. That one. We're four minutes into the show, okay,
and you've already just had two stings. No One. After
my appearance on Colin today, I'm all joked out that
it was like you were funny on that either. I mean,
did somebody somebody gave you a falseness and security that
you lit it up on Colin or something. I saw you,

(03:21):
I saw you, you know you let laugh? You did?
It was laying in my bed watching looking for a laugh,
hoping for a laugh and nothing. Nothing. All right. So
we also have as we do every week, Greg Jenny's
super Bowl Champion Fox NFL as it's always great to
speak with Greg, and then as we talked to him

(03:43):
last week, MGM Resorts vice President of Racing Sports also
co host of Behind the Book, and Jay Rude from
the MGM. You definitely, I mean, I'm sure a lot
of you are putting money on these games this weekend,
a lot of people are going to Vega, you know. Yeah, yeah,
so you definitely want to hear from Jay Rude. So

(04:05):
stay tuned keep it locked for the next three hours.
You will not regret it. It's the odd couple. And now,
please don't crack another job. Can you go like two
minutes while you're introducing our team without cracking? All right,
I'll keep a straight face, and just for you, you're
already smiling. Yeah, I can't help it, straight face. I'm

(04:26):
not I'm not kind of guy, just like a happy guy.
And you know I like people, all right. It is
the odd couple. Yes, and let's walk in people, odd couple.
If you like people, spare people. Rob g is our producer,
of course, Alex our engineer, our sports anchor of course
Deb Carson with that beautiful voice. Thank you, Deb. She'll

(04:48):
keep us updated throughout the show. And Elijah is also here.
He is our streamer and he does the Facebook and YouTube, Periscope,
Twitter and Instagram. And I think I got it. I
got it all, all right, Chris. So they are all
on the other side of the glass. Let me just
say it's real quick. I'm dead serious. I think Elijah

(05:12):
is an unbelievable social media guy. I'm serious. Like the
stuff he puts out for us is top notch. Elijah,
I'm serious, I'm not even and today what he did
with my appearance on column was awesome. I just I
just have to tell you I knew he I knew.

(05:32):
I was like, Elijah did this, okay, right right? He
noticed his own Elijah drops bombs every single day, I know.
But the one day he looked you up, Solo, You're
gonna give him props, I said, I get the duo, right,
what I say, does good stuff? Elijah. I haven't I

(05:53):
told you before that I like what you do, not
publicly though, not on the mic. It's easy to tell
him in the hard way. Pulley ms side, Yo, you're
really nice. You all right? No, he does. I'm gonna
let the bosses know he did a great job. And
uh go to our go to Fox Sports Radio right
at Fox Sports Radio on um what is it Instagram

(06:14):
and go check it out. But anyway, I think you
want to go solo, No, I don't want to. I
think Rob wishes that instead of the odd could you
stop the odd ball. I think that's where you would be.
Mine would be the funny, charismatic, handsome all right, maybe

(06:37):
all right, but they are, yes, all on the other
side of the glass. On this Friday evening, wherever you
may be, let's kick some ass. All right, all right, well,
can we know why you're such a good move? You're
beside yourself. You think you really rocked the mic on her.
I felt like I was at Burger King ordering the burger,

(06:58):
and I just took the mic. I'm the person. You
remember the old days when you used to order, You
don't You guys don't know this. But in the old
days that Burger King, they had a MiCT the counter.
I don't remember that. You don't even I don't remember that.
They had a mic at the counter and you would
order and the person taking your order would would talk

(07:19):
to the kitchen and they would repeat your order into
the mic to the kitchen because they would make the
burger your way. That was Burger King. Have it your
way at Burger King. But they used to have a mic,
so that's what used to happen. So anyway, you went
a long way for that one. I compared to a

(07:39):
modern day commercial, you know that. I don't even know
what the is it. I don't know if it's McDonald's,
Burger King, whoever. But Travis Kelsey's in them. Now. Well
you're making orders at it, Okay, man feel like you're like,
you want some big things, so you're celebrating. That's how
you're acting, That's how you feel, that's how you feel.

(07:59):
And it's all because of this. This is about Independence
Day for NFL America. The reign of terror will finally
be over. This is what we're all talking about. Kansas
City has to do this for every football fan in
America outside of New England. We need this to end

(08:22):
the end of Tom Brady, the end of Bill Belichick,
the end of cheating scandals. This sordid history, part of
history in the NFL will come to an end. It's
all set up and we can't wait to finally move
on where we can have other football teams that play

(08:43):
by the rules and can give some variety when it
comes to going to the Super Bowl and seeing some
new teams there. This is it. I've been calling for
it for years, but finally this is a year where
I'm gonna be right. Tom Brady could do that. Tom

(09:06):
Brady couldn't do that. The one thing I agree with
in that in that monologue spiel whatever, you was a
rand It brand. The one thing I agree with is
I've been calling for for years now that's right. You
say the same thing every January, but I mean it,

(09:32):
last seven years, two thousand and eleven, you've been saying
the same thing, and now you think you're right. But
I got news for you. Rob. As much as I
like Patrick Mahomes, and I really like Patrick Mahomes, I
think he's going to just wreak havoc on the NFL record.

(09:53):
He but it is not his time. Tom Brady. The
New England patents will win Sunday. What we got right,
Wings Wings always. I'm very confident. I'm very confident Tom
Brady is not done. I know you won it, but

(10:15):
he's not. Let me give you a few facts. I
don't know you. I don't even know that you're gonna
say anything like after I give you these, you might
just run off and let it. Let me lead us
into the break. But anyway, in primetime games this season,
and you do know this because while I was singing
Patrick mahomes praises all season long, you were killing him.

(10:40):
And one of the things you said, they don't get
it done in primetime games, and you're right, including the playoffs,
they are two and four this season in prime time games.
Know what New England is four and one. And guess
what this weekend's game is gonna be primetime. I'm not time,

(11:04):
I'm not done. The game starts at six o' What
is that six o'clock East? It's the big game. Everybody,
every prime time fan in America, who's going to be watching?
Google what primetime is? Primetime is after eight pm. That's
primetime from eight to eleven. Time means when you're the
main game, madnight, Monday night, Thursday night, that's what. And

(11:27):
it is the main event. It's a Saturday's New League
game all out of that time, everybody's gonna be watching it.
You're not number two this season including the playoffs verse
playoff teams. You you rip the Patriots, all you they
they're beating up on the little sisters of the poor.
They're beating up on the AFC East the least and

(11:50):
all that against playoff teams. Roy Parker, Kansas City was
three and four in the regular season, two and four,
but three and four New England. You want to guess
what they were against playoff teams owing something five and oh,
that's right, they took They didn't take Buffalo. Seriously, they
didn't take my hand me seeing your Detroit lying seriously.

(12:13):
They went in their cocky and looking forward to the
next game, and they got beat. But when it came
time to prepare, when it came time to really man up,
step up, you knew you had to bring your a game.
They brought it every time. Last fact, can I get here,
las fact? Talk about talk about a solo shown to

(12:35):
your little rant on colin for three minutes. We even
put music behind it. I don't hear any beat behind mine.
I need a beat that's right to beat out this gibberish.
All right, here you go, they see, we'll see what
the callers think if this is gibberish. All right? In
the regular season for his career, this is in subfreezing temperature. Oh,

(12:59):
here we go with the because it's gonna be an
arctic blast. I think it's still gonna be chilling. Oh now,
get out? Is it chili arctics? Below freezing? That sounds
like a drink from seven to eleven? Which one of
you talking about freezing? It's gonna be below That was
your best one today. I'm not saying much but that
it's gonna be below freezing all right, in the regular

(13:21):
season for his career, in subfreezing temperatures. Tom Brady twenty
and five in the playoffs, thirteen and two. I'm done, right,
I'm glad you're done because none of that matters, none
of it all right, Uh, this is these are the
numbers that really matter. They are oh and three in
their last three AFC Championship games on the road. Tom

(13:46):
Brady and them. They don't travel well. They don't play
well on the road. They haven't won it on the
road AFC game in fifteen years. Okay, the city did it. No,
I'm talking about the Patriots. And when you talk about
they re talking about them. On the road. They lost,
They were They lost five road games to all non

(14:09):
playoff teams, including the Lions, of Dolphins and the Steelers.
Oh my, they they are not when you go on
the road the same team that they are when they
play at Foxborough. The whole idea that all of a sudden,
the narrative, everything in the past that's positive they love.
But when there's negative stats they act like it doesn't

(14:30):
matter because it's the past. You can't have it both ways, Christmas,
not in Rob Parkers America. You can't. I've been calling
for it for years, but Finally, this is a year
where I'm gonna be right. That's the one sentence in
that whole seventy eight sentence spiel. That's the one that

(14:51):
wasn't even a sentence, that was a phrase. That's the
one phrase that was true. I can't believe you guys
are gonna disregard those facts. All I know is eight
seven seven ninety nine on Fox eight seven seven nine nine,
six sixty three sixty nine. Let's see what you think.
Give us a call. Is at the beginning of the

(15:12):
end of the Patriots dynasty. We'll continue this conversation with you.
Eight seven seven ninety nine on Fox. Next, it's The
I Couple Fox Sports Radio. I've been calling for for years,
but finally, this is a year where I'm gonna be right.
Be sure to catch live editions of The Odd Couple
with Chris Brussard and Rob Parker weekdays at seven pm

(15:32):
Eastern four pm Pacific on Fox Sports Radio and the
iHeart Radio app. From a car landing on a roof
to a car landing in the pool, we've covered it.
Talk to farmers. We know a thing or two because
we've seen a thing or two. We are farmers under
written my Farmers truck fire insurance exchanges and affiliates products
unavailable in every state. Oh yeah, DJ tischert on a

(15:57):
funky Friday. What you know about this? What you mean?
Taste the honey? You remember this ride? Of course? Come on, man,
I was under a rock. I wasn't try to die.
What don't get mad? I remember? Taste the honey was
the jam, and I was only about eight years old,
but it was still a jam. I was in college,

(16:19):
but it still was good. You were close. You were
in eighth grade. I'm not that much old years old,
and I was in college. You were thirteen. All right.
It's the Eye couple. And when it comes to selling
or trading in your car, you need to make good choices.

(16:39):
And with True Car, you got a star on your roster.
So when you're ready to sell or trade in your car,
check out True Car. True cash offer not available in
all areas, and we threw it out to you guys.
Ry Parker, my partner, not surprisingly thinks the Patriots are
done for the eighth straight time, and I think they're

(17:00):
going to win. So let's see what you think. It's
The Couple eight seven, seven ninety nine on Fox Let's
start with our man Nieman from Montana. Nieman, how you doing?
What's up? Guys? How are you doing? All right? Well,
you already knew I love the show. I'm gonna jump
right into it. Uh Rob, I'm sorry, man, I can't
side with you on this one. I got three reasons why.

(17:22):
Number One, it is colder weather, so you got to
rely on that run game, and the Patriots run game
is much better than the Chiefs run game right now.
Number Two, the Chiefs have the deep threats, but in
the colder weather, those deep threats diminished quite a bit.
Brady will nickel and dime you all day long. You
know what, do you know what Brady's history is when
it comes to on the road and trying to win.

(17:44):
Do you know what it is? I know, I know
he's owing three. But the problem is, and my third
point is that they do have more experience and not
only this type of weather, but this type of situation,
and they're going up against the team who doesn't have
the first point. In the second point that I was
talking about, I mean, Mahomes is great, but he's great
going deep. Kenny Nicolin Diamu like Brady Camp the Arctic

(18:05):
blast is off. Have you still gonna be called? I
just I gonna be seventy and ball me hey Neeman.
I check my doppler and it's off in Kansas City.
What's it gonna be like? Twenty something something? Some degree
arctic blast of a negative seven or five degrees is
not what's gonna happen. It's gonna be football weather in
Kansas City. That's all it is. All right, we will see.

(18:28):
Let's go to Willie in North Carolina. Willie, welcome to
the Eye Couple. Hey, fellas, thanks man, the odd Couples
in full stride tonight. I absolutely love it. Let it rip.
Thank thanks buddy. Yeah. Hey, I'd like to say, rob
you sound like the guy who always wants to bet
and makes the same bet and then you lose, and

(18:49):
then it's like doubling nothing. Okay, you don't pay, and
then doubling nothing, and then like after ten losses, you
finally win and it gets to zero and then you're like,
now what, no, that is exactly really rack them, that's
exactly right now, Robbi is that guy that keeps his
bell bottoms and keeps wearing them until the style whatever.

(19:14):
Hey Dennis in Massachusetts, you're in the odd couple. Fox
Sports Radio. What's up Dennis? Hey, guys, great show, Thank you. Hey.
Um So those three losses that you guys are talking about,
the pages have had the playoffs? Who are those teams? Ah?
They lost to Denver twice in the Colts once you

(19:34):
don't remember they were all AFC championship games. Tom Brady's
three and four on the road. Okay, because the point
I was gonna make, and maybe it's not so valid
given the teams you've said, because I remember when they
lost for the Ravens, but that was in Foxborough. But
they typically lose in the playoffs, and you know last
year's Super Bowl. Notwithstanding, they typically lose to good defensive teams.

(19:58):
Are ones that come up with a good defense some school? No,
you're right, because they lost because they lost to the
Jets and the Super Bowl? Right, and they lost to
the Jets too when when Mark Sanchez and do you
remember that team they had a really good defense? Yeah,
that she's don't meet that definition, right, you know that
although they look good last week. We'll see all right,
Jay in Vermont. Jay, you're on with Chris and Rob.

(20:20):
What's up? Fellas? You know you got what, Rob, what's
the definition of insanity? Uh? Thinking that the Patriot Wait
a minute, no they hey, wait a minute. Let me
give you the definition. It's thinking that Tom Brady and
the Patriots are gonna win every year when they don't.
It's doing the same thing over and over again and
expecting a different result, which you have done in the

(20:40):
last like ten years years. You hate, You hate just
to hate. Instead of admiring something that's been so dominant
for eighteen years in appreciating quality of the game, you
just hate. I don't know if someone beat like a
team that you love growing up, but they's sometimes. But hey, hey, Jay,

(21:03):
I'm a I'm a reporter. I don't care who wins.
I don't even act. And it's not an eighteen year dynasty.
That's the biggest It is the biggest nonsense. They went
ten years between super Bowls from two thousand and four
to two thousand and fourteen. That ain't no damn dynasty.
You you say it, that's not a dynast's one thing

(21:25):
to predict them. I just said, yeah, they're not a dynasty.
No they're not. There's no way they were a dynasty
when they won three out of four in the beginning
of the war. The time they haven't won. They won
two in the last fourteen years. It's the Brady Belligiana.
That's not what a dynasty is around. The Patriots are
not a damn dynasty. Was there the Bird Celtics of

(21:48):
dynasty that they went three out of four? They won
three championships in his thirteen year career. No, that's not
a dynasty. They were. We are not at time of dynasty.
I'm did they win that? They won five in Magic's
twelve years. No, that's not a dynasty. But then there
are no dynasty. I can give you the dynasty six
nineteen six, I give you plenty of them. The Cowboys

(22:10):
won three out of four, The Yankees won three in
a row and four out of four. Short, No, they're
not a different definition for a long No, the Lakers
were dyna. They were not. They never even won back
to back. They're not a dyne every single No, they were.
The San Francisco Giants won three World Series in five years.
No dynasty. You gotta win three in a row or

(22:32):
four or three out of four in order to uh,
in order to be a dynasty. Has that written? It's
the Rob Parker Dynasty, Rob Parker's dynasty. Rulers, We're gonna
squeeze one more in TJ in Maryland, a couple of
Fox Sports Radio t JJ. Yeah, uh, Chris Lusar, what
what is wrong with you? You want this? Tom three?

(22:57):
Rob Parkers casting question to lak blame never TJ. Why
shouldn't I be on the train. He's got eight Super
Bowl appearances and five victories? Why not be on the
train eight straight times in the AFC title? Who training?
Tom Brady would come on the way patting my home

(23:18):
and the cheese I've been playing this season. I'm a
Bronthels fan. I saw him the way he came in
the dever and came back down to the fourth quarter.
Why were they two and four against playoff teams this season?
And if they've been playing some TJ last year? Nobody,
nobody wants to, but nobody will blame Tom Brady for
coughing up the fourth the final two. That's why they lost.

(23:41):
Tom Brady was to go to that game. He coughed
it up and he had a touchdown that he could
have had, but he but he couldn't catch the football.
You remember those two plays, TJ. Who's trained you on Walker? Yeah,
walking on who to win that place? Because you know

(24:01):
he like an old man, because he's right. Last year
he looked like going out paing old man last weekend.
Please he through lead through Duncan Duncan game. They couldn't
play the right defense, not the right defense. No, all right,
thank you, eight seven, seven ninety nine on Fox. Look

(24:24):
not a dynasty. No, I don't believe that's not a dynasty, Chris.
If you don't even win back to back, how could
that be as not a dynasty? Patriots were dynasty. No,
they were in the beginning. That's a dynastis short dynasty. No,
that's what a dynasty is. You are in contentio the
win as well for ten, fifteen, twenty straight. There's no

(24:48):
way that's not a dinast The Atlanta Braves one didn't win,
the won. Why but they weren't contention for fifteen years?
But they know the only one. What does that mean? No,
that you didn't listen to the rest. I said, if
you're in contention and you win, some whoa winter? How
many the teams I'm comparing them, how many sant it's five?

(25:09):
How about that? That's ridiculous so the ain't no dynasty.
San Antonio won five. New England's won five. That ain't
no dynasty and he once every three years for a
decade and a half. Dude, all right, get your popcorn ready.
You should already have it ready because I'm lighting this
boy up anyway. Acclaimed actor and RAMS super fan, he's

(25:32):
gonna have something to say about this weekend. Danny Treo
joins our celebrity corner next, but first let's bring in
Dab Carson for the latest its worst. Damn Hello, Jennal,
are your patriots of dynasty? Yes? No, they were a
dynasty at the beginning of the one day not a dynasty. Dynasty.
Now they won two back to back, No, they didn't.
They want two, three, two and three four years. I

(25:54):
think if he won three in a decade, that's a
dynast No, that's not. The Steelers were a dynasty. They four. Yes,
the Steelers seventy Cowboys were in the nineties, but have been. Yes,
let me just stop. Have you say that if you
win three in a decade, that means two other teams
could also win three in the same decade. No, but

(26:14):
I'm saying, but that don't could that be a dynasty
if if you had three teams at all won three
championships at time, Lakers and the Bird Celtics. We consider
both of them dynasty. That is true. Actually Bird won three.
That isn't no dynasty to me. You gotta win three years.
That's short, Yes, that's short. No, all right. NFL Championship

(26:40):
weekend is less than two days away. The only Chiefs
player listed on their injury report that right now for
the game is Dorian O'Daniel. The linebacker has been ruled
out with an ankle injury. I hate this. Next story.
Saints tight end Benjamin Watson, who, as you may recall
and said he planned on retiring after this postseason. He's
been ruled out of the NFC Championship game against the Rams.

(27:02):
He's been dealing with an illness. Multiple reports say it's
appenda sitis. He's been in and out of the hospital
so far, no surgery, but he's going to miss this game.
So Benjamin Watson is out. Golf Phil Mickelson continues to
lead the Desert Classic on the PGA Tour at sixteen
underpart through two rounds of play. Your check engine light
could signify a variety of different issues with your car.

(27:23):
The AutoZone Fixed Finder service will help you trouble shoot
the issues for free and say your time and money.
A couple of notes from the NBA to Marcus Cousins
is making his Warriors debut tonight in LA against the
Clippers as he returns from his achilles injury. Steve Kerr
says he's not gonna have a specific minutes count, but
he is going to be monitored and just play short
stretches for Genrod has been cleared to practice as he

(27:44):
recovers from surgery on his injured finger. And finally, according
to the Golf Channel, Cardinals receiver Layer Fitzgerald not only
can play football well, plays golf well. Today, playing in
the same group as former President Barack Obama in Palm
Beach Gardens floor, he made a hole in one on
the thirteenth hole. Now that is quite the day. We'll

(28:05):
be back with the odd couple in ten seconds. But first,
a word from farmers. From a dog accidentally flooding a
living room to a dog taking a joy ride, we've
covered it. Talk to farmers. We know a thing or
two because we've seen a thing or two. We are farmers.
Under written my Farmers truck fire insurance exchanges and affiliates,
a products unavailable in every state. Rob Parker, Chris Brussard,
back to you guys. Thank you dad. You know, it's

(28:27):
hard not to like Larry Fitzgerald for one reason, one
reason only why his dad is a sports frider. And
you know what I mean to see a sports writer
produce a kid like that to be a stud you
know what I'm saying. All right, right, all right, it's
the Eye Couple. We're coming to you live from the
Geico Fox Sports Radio studios. It's easy to say fifteen
percent or more on your car insurance with Geico. Go

(28:49):
to geicode dot com or call eight hundred nine four
seven Auto. The only hard part is figuring out which
way is easier in its time for celebrity corners, God,
I know, for the odd couple celebrity corners, all right.

(29:10):
He has starred in films Desperado, Heat From Dusk Till Dawn, Conair,
Once Upon the Time in Mexico, The Spy Kids Movies, Grindhouse,
and many more, and he's also been on TV shows
such as Breaking Bad, which is one of my favorite shows,

(29:30):
uh X Files, King of the Hill, and Sons of Anarchy.
It's none other than Danny Treo. Danny, Welcome to the
Eye Couple. All right, you're ready, you're ready. Look, before
we get to the rams, I want to ask you.
I know you know you you in your younger days,
you were wayward. You ended up in Saying Quentin Princeton

(29:52):
and there you became a boxer and you were actually
the champion boxer in the prison lightweight and walter divisions.
Did you ever entertain the idea of trying to go
pro in boxing? Uh? Well, it's hard to go pro.
I'm pretty sure. I never thought I was getting out,
but when I came out, I couldn't get a license.

(30:16):
Uh so I did a lot of club fighting and
uh uh that was kind of like the start of MMA.
I think, oh in prison, oh you know, and so
so I couldn't get a boxing license. They put me
on probation for two years. Twenty years old. Do you

(30:37):
still follow boxing? Oh? Absolutely? So who you got in
the Pacquiao Browner fight this weekend? But I think Paki
I was just too too too good for him. Uh.
Bro Broder is kind of a even though he throws
a lot of combinations He's still a one punch wonder.

(30:59):
And Patio is you know, is a Patio is kind
of like like Mayweather, even though a lot of people
say they don't like Mayweather, but probably one of the
best boxers ever. No Cloxer, big difference in a boxer
and a fighter, did you seem uh uh Broner's uh

(31:21):
what do you call it? Uh? He's a fighter, you know,
and and Patios a boxer, so so uh, every time
Broner moved Patie, I was gonna hit it. Did you, Danny?
Did you see Mayweather fight that uber driver in Japan?
What do you think of that? Oh? That was a
good bag right for nine million dollars a minute fifty

(31:45):
eight seconds. That's ridiculous. I got I gotta tell you something.
I don't respect. I gotta respect for anybody that climbs
into that ring. I don't care how good they are,
how bad they are, It doesn't matter. You climb into
that ring. That takes some cahoe names, you know what
I mean? Right, So I give him his props, But anybody, anybody,

(32:08):
Mayweather's gonna make anybody look bad because well, well you're
playing checkers. Mayweather's playing chess. That's just the way it is.
That's right, that's right. All right. Well we're in the
Eye Couple. We're on with actor Danny Trayo, and you
started off your segment by saying, go ram, So, how
confident are you this weekend? I mean, that's tough to

(32:29):
go in there and win in New Orleans hitting Come on, man,
I gotta i gotta party going on at Trail's Cantina
in Hollywood that it's gonna be. Uh, it's you know,
I mean, we're just I've been. I've been. I was
sneaking into the Coliseum in nineteen fifty seven, and I

(32:50):
love I love the ramps. I mean you I go
all the way back to Normvam Brooklyn and uh and
uh you know, the fearsome, forsoming and uh. And that's
what we got right now. Man. We've got that defensive line,
that that offensive line. We got the two best running
backs in the NFL. Come on, Girley and Anderson and

(33:12):
then we're going Sue. So you know, so Danny, let
me let me say, when they left and went to
Saint Louis, did you stop following them where you where
you heard? Or yeah? Well you know what all I
when when they left and I went to Saint Louis,
I just started worrying about point spleds. I wasn't right.

(33:34):
You weren't following like a fan, like whether they want
a last Yeah, I I wasn't following them like uh
like uh like they were my team, you know what
I mean? I just worried about point spleds. And now
you know, hey, yes, that the Rams. You know. So
who's your favorite player on the team. Oh god, it's like,

(33:54):
you know, I mean golf, It's amazing and uh girly
another one. So I love that guy. Man, I just
just a tank. And Anderson and that, you know what,
really one of my favorite Pieters. You know, the coach Scott.
He looks like he just got out of high school.
I was gonna say when they first hired him, such

(34:15):
a young guys, younger than a lot of the players,
and a debt never been a head coach. Were you
a little skeptical of him being you know, this guy
better get it together and come in with some good
ideas because people are just gonna clown him, you know
about Hey, did your parents let stay up his late right? Right?

(34:38):
He's only thirty three, right? I know, Danny, correct me
if I'm wrong, But obviously you're excited about the Rams
and then and I know some people are excited, but
it doesn't seem like they've captured the imagination of the
whole city. Do you think if they get to the
Super Bowl that they will Is that what it's gonna

(34:58):
take hold on? We've been selling out that coll of Feum.
It's like I love looking up that col of Feum
and there in an empty seat. We got a One
of the reasons that we shell out is Los Angeles
is so eclectic anyway. We've got we've got people from
all over the United States, and we've got you know,

(35:19):
we've got Cowboy fans Ram and we got every kind
of fan there is, and a whole lot of them.
A lot of them Raider fans are generated them jerseys.
They're gonna come over to the Rams, right Yeah, Getting now, Danny,
I know you're a big Baseball Dodger fan as well.
Did you think when they made the trade, you know,
and got with a Puig and uh uh, all those

(35:43):
all those other players would and whatnot, did you think
that it was gonna be a foregone conclusion that Bryce
Harper was coming. Well, you know what, let me tell
you something. All I know about the Dodgers is that
they've made it to the World Series, you know, and
and and that what that means is, you know, one

(36:04):
of the top teams in the National Baseball But Danny,
you you're not settling for that, right, Yeah, I know
you want that ring. They haven't won. They haven't won
a World Series in thirty one years. Yeah, absolutely, and
always always don dudes get better, you always do the
dudes get better. So you're optimistic. I'll give you that.
Next year we got the World Series. This year we

(36:27):
got the Super Bowl. And yes, I will be in Atlanta,
you will, Okay, we'll be there. You gonna get you
on the show in person, hopefully because down here, you know,
it's like like they got when I was I think
when I was nine, I can't remember how old one was.
My dad bought me a Rams uniform, complete uniform, and

(36:50):
you just never forget it was a baby. That'll make you, Brooklyn,
I'm not sure. So how are you are you as
into the Lakers is the Dodgers and Rams? Like? How
you feeling about Lebron coming to town? Well, I think
that's great, but you know, it's it's hard for me.

(37:11):
It was real hard to getted at basketball because I
wasn't you know, seven foot right, you know, you know
I don't. There's not a lot of Garcias or or
Sansquez's on the basketball teams, you know. And and I
love I love the players, you know. I think he
once in Florida when he was with the Heat, and uh,

(37:33):
I've met a lot of it, the great guys. But
you know, you're kind of you know, if you're five
sticks five seven, basketball is not really your support, right, No,
I understand it. So of all the teams, the teams
in LA with Lebron and the Lakers and the Rams
and the Dodgers, who's gonna win the first championship out

(37:54):
of those three teams? Well, the Dodgers are gonna win.
I mean, those Rams are gonna win the super Bowl.
So it's the Ram. Do you really feel that confident
that if they get in they're gonna win the Super Bowl? Danny?
Do you do you give any love to the Chargers? Oh?
I love the Chargers. You know what if if if
the Chargers recorded the Super Bowl, my shirt the front

(38:16):
of it would be the Rams. The fact of it
would be the charger. Wow. Okay, so you just an
la guy la. You know it's like I was born
and raised in Los Angeles. All right, that's ain't nothing
wrong with that, Danny, great job, Thank you. We appreciate
the time I'm shooting the video. I'm shooting them. You
don't believe it. I'm on a set right now shoot
the music video. Really, can you tell us who with who?

(38:40):
I'm shooting the band a video right now for Nick Waterhouse. Okay,
and so we just stopped production right now. I want
you to know. That's how it apport. Wow. Sports show is. Hey,
we appreciate that, Danny. Hey Danny, how many school slanted
the clad dress women are there on the sets? How

(39:01):
many young women there with a little clothes on for
the video shooting? Let me don't know, this is kind
of a seventy shover right now, I'm staring at a
gorgeous squad. Okay, I thought, so that makes it a
little easier to take that break and chat with you. Yes, surely,
Well we want to get you. Hopefully we'll see you
in a landing. We'll bring you on the set. God

(39:22):
bless you man, Thank you, all right, thank you, Danny,
Thank you. More of the I a couple of guys
coming up. Keep it locked. Fox Sports Radio. From a
heart of a little landing on a car to a
load of concrete falling on one, we've covered it. Talk
to farmers. We know a thing or two. Because we've
seen a thing or two. We are farmers underwritten my

Farmers Truck Fire Insurance exchanges and affiliates products unavailable in
every state. And speaking of farmers, do not miss the
Farmers Insurance Open. It's happening next week at Tory Pine
in San Diego. We are we don't have much time,

(40:05):
but I want to share with you. I submitted my
official NBA All Star ballot to the league today. You know,
it's media, coaches or media players and then the fans.
Here's my ballot Eastern Conference. Three front court players Kawhi Leonard, Jannis,
aDNA Kumbo, Joel Mbid, Guards, Kyrie Irving, and Kimba Walker.

(40:28):
I gave Kimba the slight edge over Oladipo because he's
killing it and he's it's in Charlotte, so it'd be
nice for from the start because they're so close. In
the West. My front court players Lebron, James, Kevin Durant,
Anthony Davis. It was tough to pick him over Nicola Yoki,
who was obviously leading Denver to a great season. But
I just think Davis is just a better player, so

(40:49):
I went with him for this game. And then in
the Backgroud I got Steph and Harden. So you would
have went with Yoki over Davis. I think that he
should get some credit for what Denver's ding. Yeah he
right now, he's bawling, But don't. Davis is a better player,
and this is more about better individual players. And I
understand the Charlotte Thingipo's a better player, but the Kimba's

(41:15):
averaging twenty five points to nineteen Foladipo. It's the Eye

(41:36):
for a free rad quote. And of course, we're heading
into Championship weekend in the NFL and we are previewing
the games all show long keep it locked with us
for the next two hours, but we did want to
talk about the quote from the Patriots owner Robert Kraft
about Tom Brady not just being the goat among quarterbacks,

(42:01):
but he went a step further. Rob G, could you
read us the quote from Robert Kraft. Robert Kraft talking ESPN,
says Tom Brady is definitely the greatest player of all time,
not just the quarterback in my opinion, because he's such
a leader in the locker room. For someone double the
age with some of the players to be able to
lead like that and connect like that and have the

(42:21):
work ethic that he has at the same time be
so pleasant to be around. I'm really the luckiest guy
in the world. That's the most preposterous statement I ever
heard in sports. Preposterous, It's ridiculous. Bob Kraft, stop it.
He is not the greatest football player who ever played
the game. This is once again this prisoner of the moment.

(42:43):
Let's have this false narrative, but false narrative about Tom Brady.
Tom it is because he's on the verge of no
but he's on the verge of maybe trying to get
to another Super Bowl. So now he's gonna this is
the time. If you would have told me that he
said this after tom Brady beat the Falcons and came back,

(43:04):
maybe I would buy that. But why is that? Why
is he saying this now? He was after a down year. No,
didn't have a down year. He was a Pro Bowl,
he was in the championship game. Shouldn't have been he
was not. That was a down year for tom Brady, wasn't.
He had as year as good as air round. No,
stop with the air he did. This is a fact.

(43:26):
Am I working with you. I'm with you on I
do not agree that Tom Brady is the goat player,
the greatest football player. It's but to say it's preposterous,
proposis prisoner, mainly prisoner of the moment. Just stop using
that term with Tom Brady. It's been eighteen years of dominance. No,
it's not back with ten years without wint In the

(43:48):
Super Bowl he lost to Okay, he lost to give
you the Sanchez. You know what you keep talking about it.
This is not an eighteen years of dominance. He lost
to Eli Manning twice and to a back up quarterback.
Stopped saying, k Robers, even if I give you I'm
only giving you that for the sake of moving on.

(44:08):
My point is that the prisoner of the moment quote,
it just doesn't work with Tom Brady. Can you stop,
no who the moment would be saying Patrick Mahomes is
the greatest quarterback in NFL history. That's what you said,
That would be prisoner moment. Here's my reason why I
think Robert Craft is wrong, and in fairness the craft

(44:29):
we have heard people are undisputed. Ex football players say
that Brady is the greatest player who I don't, I
don't remember, I've seen it. Here's my and you've heard
X players say. Look, first of all, it's darknear impossible
to say who the greatest football player is because so

(44:50):
many of the positions have so many unique skills and
different things that you do. Okay, heck, the greatest football
player ever might be an offensive tackle for all we know.
So it's very difficult. But what I will say is this,
when I think of the term greatest player, not greatest
wide receiver, not greatest quarterback, greatest football player, I gotta

(45:15):
think of a guy who I can at least imagine,
could tackle, could block, could catch, could run. In other words,
there needs to be some degree of serious athletic ability.
And Tom Brady, I think is clearly the goat quarterback,
the greatest quarterback of all time. But he can't catch,

(45:38):
he can't run, He's I can't imagine him tackling. When
I would have to put Jim Brown, I have to
put Lawrence Taylor. I have to put Jim Jerry Rice
ahead of a Tom Brady in terms of greatest football player.
And that's my point when I say prison of the moment.

(45:58):
The reason is because where they are there on the
cusp of maybe getting to another Super Bowl. So that's
why that comes out. It just doesn't make any sense
to me that he would say he's the greatest football player.
If you want to stretch and say the quarterback thing
as a stretch, Okay, you could have that. A stretch
is a stretch. My opinion, that's only that's the only

(46:19):
opinion I'm gonna give you is mine. And but but
the whole notion that he's the greatest player. Did you
see him in the Super Bowl. He couldn't even catch.
He ran out four pass. He looked ridiculous. That was ridiculous. Yeah,
I just and again I've heard former players will ask
Greg Jennings. It'll be interesting to see what he says.
I think Jennings doesn't he say Brady is the goat

(46:41):
quarterback I believe, But heck, even if it's in Montana,
I wouldn't call Montana the greatest football player in ever.
Most people think maybe the best quarterback. Maybe you know
it's him or Brady, But I like I said, player,
you gott tackle runs. But but there's like this two

(47:05):
stra cleticism all that comes into play. Yeah, but a
lot of people think Jerry Rice might be. Well, that's
because you can picture Rice doing the other things that
you do on the football field. It's almost like it's
not quite the same comparison. But it's almost like saying
a picture is the greatest baseball player. You know what

(47:27):
I'm saying right Like you would never say a picture
Sandy Kofax or Pedro Martinez or whoever you think is
the best picture is the best baseball player ever, because
there's so much of the game that he doesn't do
all of you. All you need to know is Walter
Johnson won as a picture and nobody considers him the greatest.

(47:47):
His name doesn't come up like Babe Ruth comes up right,
right right, So yeah, that's what And again it's not
just Robert Kraft who says this, it's uh the people
I've heard said, let's give you a chance to weigh
in eight seven, seven ninety nine on Fox eight seven

(48:07):
seven nine nine six sixty three sixty nine if you
want to get in here on who is the greatest
football player of all time? But I just the prisoner
of the moment, Rob I'm just I'm just trying to
help you out. No, don't hope it doesn't It doesn't good.

(48:27):
Why do you how does it fit Tom Brady. I'm
just saying it's eighteen years. Whether you say it's dominance
or not, he's been around eighteen. But I'm talking about
the Bob Craft to bring that up to even mention
that he was interview was asked to talk about Brady,
and I don't I don't blame him. I just think
it's it's off. I just think that he's got caught

(48:48):
up in that they won the home playoff game, and
but they get they get to the championship every year,
but eight they they've gotten to the Tom Brady ball.
Would you admit that Tom Brady had a big turnal
that cost him a game last year. Yeah, what I mean,
he's not a great what I'm just waiting great things
he did? He understand. But if it wasn't for him,
they wouldn't have been that close. If Tom Brady didn't

(49:11):
leave points on the board in Miami, they probably would
have won that game. Despite that play at the end,
there's a lot of moments I can point to regular
season game. I'm just saying at point, who cares? Tom
Brady's not the greatest? All I'm saying is Bob Kraft.
I get it. He's made you a lot of money.
You have a very valuable franchise. You owe a lot
to him. You're like Tommy because he comes to your

(49:33):
mansion and hangs out with you and your family. I
get that. You are not there. He's not the greatest.
I don't care how many super Bowls he's won. He's
not the greatest football player. Does Let me ask you this.
So he's got five super Bowls, he's lost three? Can
he be? That's what is there? Let me ask you,
I really want to ask you a serious question. I'm

(49:53):
with you, he's not the greatest player, But ken is
there a number of Super Bowls realistically? Is there a
number of Super Bowls? Like if he won six or seven,
is there some number where you would say, you know what,
he's the best quarterback? It would just it would just
depend it. What did he win? Uh? Six and seven?
The way Peyton Manning won number two where he had

(50:14):
ninety yards and was horrible on the Super Bowl. He's
not showing any I'm just saying, but you know, when
you look at Payton Manning second Super Bowl, we do
give him credit for it, and I'm not taking it away,
but you know he hitched his wagon to defend what
I'm saying. So so did Tom Brady throw five hundred
yards and play well? Or is he just on the

(50:34):
team and he's dinking and dunking and he's not the major.
A lot of quarterbacks dinking dunk But I'm just saying
he's not the major. It depends on how they he
has to be, so he has to lead them. He
has I'd have to see him play. Well. Let's all
all right, I don't believe you even on that. But
what let's go to Mark and Sacramento. Mark, you're on

(50:55):
with the odd couple, Chris and Rob. What's happenings. Uh,
we get caught up in this instant greatest of all
trying trying to pick one all the time in every sport,
and I wish you wouldn't do that. You know, well,
what do you feel? I mean, first, these debates that

(51:18):
make they they're great for fans and you know all that,
so I like, but but I'm just saying, I don't
think if it if it was a quarterback who's the
greatest football player of all time, he better be darn
athletic and he's not in Montana, wasn't especially athletic. I
agree with that. I tell you what, the guy who

(51:38):
I think I know the guy a game like Lawrence Taylor. Okay,
A lot of people would make that. I think that's fair.
I covered Lawrence Taylor in New York. I was covering
all of the backup giants guy during that time, and
I agree. I watched him firsthand. He was a wrecking crew.
They couldn't stop Lawrence Tail. That's why I like, I

(51:58):
said to me, it would be Jim Brown, Jerry Rice,
or Lawrence Taylor. Let's see what Kevin in North Carolina thinks. Kevin,
you're on with Chris and Rob hello, and thanks for
I also want to point out about from Brady. No
one ever comments about like five days, no comments with

(52:20):
some of the championships that he may five days did that?
You know what, Kevin, I'm glad you brought it up
because if anybody else, if it's Barry Bonds or Clements,
oh they cheated, nobody ever used it that. You don't
bring it about the Yankees, nobody, nobody called you out
on it. Yet, no nobody ever brings it up about Brady,

(52:41):
and he ain't no greatest player, and that stuff should
count against him as well. I told you one day
someone's gonna write a big book about all the Shenaticans
that went on with the Patriots, and Tom Brady wind
up being Lance, I'm strong without the bicycle. Watch Richard
and West Virginia. You're on the couple. Oh, I know,

(53:02):
it's sort where you come up with that, that Tom Brady. Hey, Richard,
I'm just down the Richard. Didn't you laugh? It was funny,
wasn't it. I guess sort of? I don't know, didn't
sound too funny. First we talked about ma'am so armstrong,
I mean, the guy I don't think I don't think

(53:23):
they're cheaters. But we were talking about the greatest football
player of all time and you can't buy. I don't
know how you can put a quarterback in there. But right,
that's kind of an unfair question in a way, because
I don't think there is such a thing as the
greatest football players all time. If you have to do everything,
it's like in baseball you have to pitch, ron do

(53:44):
all kind of things. I don't know, that's just uh
sort of Tom Brady. Do I think he's the greatest
quarterback of all time? Yes? I do it. All that
cheating stuff that make a difference to me. I hope
they win another Super Bowl. All right, Richard, I'm glad
you like cheaters. Thanks for calling. All right, let's go
to George and Los Angeles. George, we got about a minute.
You're on with Chris and Rob. No problem, guys, really

(54:06):
like your show man. Thank you. Deacon Jones was the
greatest player that ever lived. He had more as sacks
than anybody. He was a physical specimen. I know he
played a long time ago, but he was amazing. I
saw him as a child in the car Seeman. Deacon
Jones was just a physical specimen that I've never seen before,
and George would even they weren't county. And that's the

(54:27):
bad part is that he didn't get credit. Ye like, yeah,
he sacks anybody. You're right, thanks, George, appreciate the phone call.

not greatest football player, not just quarterback of Tom Brady
couldn't do that, No, Tom can Dan and Iowa City.
You're on the odd couple of Fox Sports Radio. How
are you doing? Dan? Pretty good? Hey? Dan, I almost
almost came near to work. You know, my first job

Your family? Because yeah, like tours, people would drive by
and go to black family lives there. All right, go ahead, Dad,

(58:28):
go ahead, Okay, we lost him. What happened? All right?
That was a mistake. That was our producer, Rob. Let's
go to alt in Arkansas. Out, you're on with christ
and Rob. What's our fellow? This is the sports radio
talk show dream Team. What's up y'all? N We appreciate
that nice much love you know how Radi is a

(58:53):
great football player ever Come on, Lawrence Taylor would stop
you from scoring and give a script itself. Nah. Hey,
a lot of people would line up with you. Out,
we're on board with you. Jim Brown, Jerry right, Jerry right.
Those three would be in most people's conversation. Yep, yep,

(59:16):
and I get it, there were were There were a
lot of other great players in the early days of
the NFL as well, and a lot of time because
of size and all that. You know, like they look
at them now, they probably couldn't play. You know what
I picture again, player When you play football and you
go to practice two of days whatever, everybody's doing the

(59:38):
same drills. You know, as a high school or college guy.
Everybody or mainly high school guy, you're doing the tackling drills,
the blocking drills, the running drills, the sprints, all that
that that encompassates what's a football player. It's not just
the guy that can throw. And so it's hard again
that quarterback would have to be awfully athletic and then

(01:00:00):
have all the other things that a Brady or Montana
had to be the greatest player ever. Are we we
got one more before we go to Greg Jennings. Let's
go to Keith in Virginia. Keith, you're on with Chris
and robb Chris and Robb aw were doing tonight. Hey,
no way, no way. Brady is the greatest UH player

(01:00:22):
of all times. Uh. I agree with the last caller,
Lawrence Taylor is definitely the greatest football player of all times,
the way he revolutionized football not only on the defensive side,
but the offensive side, where guys were saying, I gotta
go get a tackle left tackle to block this guy,
and other teams were saying, I gotta go get an
LT to get after the quarterback. I mean, the guy

(01:00:43):
was an animal, you know, Like the other fella said
when watching Deacon Jones as a kid, I've seen the
LT player. I was twelve years old and he was phenomenal.
I mean, just hands down a great athlete. And like
I said, the way he changed the game on both
sides of the ball. And you know what, I said
that a little while ago. I covered a lot of
players over my thirty three years in my career, and

(01:01:05):
I knew I was watching something special when I was
covering LT in New York. Oh yeah, yeah. And you're
watching something special now. And speaking of special, Greg Jamie,
that's right. You do it every week. It's the Super
Bowl champion Fox Sports NFL and was one of our
favorite guys happening when he's talking correct, what's up, yo,
what's up? Brother? We're gonna We've been talking about this

(01:01:28):
for the last half an hour ourselves and with fans.
It's Robert Craft's uh comment that Tom Brady's not only
the greatest quarterback of all time, but the greatest football
player of all time. What do you think about that? Um,
obviously he's gonna be biased because he's he's within his
organization and he brought him championship and made him a

(01:01:49):
ton of money, right and not Craft's opinion. But what's
your opinion do you think he is or or what? No, No,
I do not. I do not I personally and everybody
that you're gonna think I'm biased. Heard you guys talking
about Lawrence Taylor, great player, Jerry Rice is man. A
lot of people say that, No, that's that's a fair call.

(01:02:12):
It's completely it's and I just I think from what
he was able to provide the longevity, attack position, the
skill position, we have not seen anyone do that at
that level of thirteen Pro Bowls. I mean, it's just
ridiculous when you when you look at his number ten
time All Pro year after year after year, like the

(01:02:35):
numbers are we know his numbers. We don't even have
to get to that. But he's just yeah, in my opinion, well,
I'm I think it's either Jim Brown, Lawrence Taylor, Jerry Rice.
But my point is this, when I think a football player,
I think of a guy that, no, you know, it's
it's almost impossible to say player because you know, there's

(01:02:56):
so many different things the different positions do. But I
at least have to see a guy that we could
envision can tackle, can run, can catch, can do block,
do the things that football players do. And to me,
that means you got to have a certain degree of athleticism.
And I just you know what I mean, like, is
that an off Like when you play high school football?

(01:03:18):
You know, you guys went for two days, You're going
through everybody's going through all the drills, and you could
see who's the best player regardless of position. That's kind
of what I picture when I think a football player.
And obviously Brady's just not an athletic. I couldn't picture
him doing a lot of those other things. Yeah, when
we when we think about any any player, like they
gotta have a skill set of talent and a talent

(01:03:43):
that is almost unmatched. Tom Brady. He's a great, great player,
phenomenal player. But if you would not say, oh my gosh,
he's the greatest player of all times simply because he's
not a highlight reel. He's not. He's not like someone
that you can just say, oh my gosh, she's gonna

(01:04:04):
out athletic or out um perform this player or that player,
or out throw or out run. No, I agree with you.
It has to be you gotta be some type of
an athlete, and obviously he is. I'm not sliding Tom
Brady one bit, but well, I guess I am kind
of like a little bit. That's okay, No, we get

(01:04:24):
what you're saying. Yes, I mean I could think if
Aaron Rodgers had the Super Bowl rings, I could see
somebody may and be saying Aaron because you could see
because because of his skills and the stuff that he
can do right, would be different. Speaking of Tom Brady
and the Patriots, they go on the road. They've lost
their last three AFC Championship games on the road. This year,

(01:04:46):
they lost five games on the road, all five to
non playoff teams. Is this a different team when they
go on the road, Greg, It is a different team
when they go on the road. Um. It's history is
history for a reason, Um, And your record is your
record for reasons. Because that's what you've proven to do,
and that's what you've put on tape. And when we

(01:05:08):
see the New England Patriots away from Foxboro, they're a
completely different team, specifically in the playoffs, which is why
they understand the keys to their success is to get
home fas no doubt about are you giving them what
kind of sounds like you're with the Chiefs this weekend?
I am not. I'm with Tom Brady. I just I

(01:05:32):
said all that, and I was waiting to to just
jump all over Rob because I'm I'm with you, I'm
picking the I'm picking the Patriots also, so tell us
why you, as the expert, are picking the Patriots. Look
with you know, we we kind of got into I
kind of got into this last week when we talked.
You're asking Tom Brady for three games, and Tom and Rob,

(01:05:53):
you can play that this is the worst throw of
Tom Brady's career. You can play that. Are you one?
I need you do? But when you when you're asking
him to shorten a season to one game, and that's

(01:06:15):
all we need from you right now is just one game.
You you couldn't ask for someone who who is more
equipped and more driven and more laser focused. All I
could think of this week was and I know Andy
Reid is a great coach, and he's probably doing his
due diligence. I know he is. But Belichick probably hasn't slept,

(01:06:37):
Brady probably hasn't slept. Like they just take it to
a completely different level. Went when this season comes, when
this type of this time of year comes around, and
I just don't see them if if they can win
this game, I believe they will letting two Super Bowls
slide through their hands. Well, you think they'll get They'll

(01:06:57):
go all the way if that. Yeah, they if they
win this week, I think they'll Bill gar Yeah. The
only problem I have with that is if that's the case,
then why did he lose the last three AFC's All
Championships on on the road. If it's just about his
laser focused He wasn't laser focused in those games. He
didn't play well, I mean not as well as he
normally plays. He did not, And I think the Saint

(01:07:20):
do you think Tom Brady doesn't recognize that, Like he
is looking at those films and how he played in
those games, and I guarantee you that is up. That's
the top of mind. For him not to. He doesn't
want the reason. If this is his last season, if
this is their last run at what has been a

(01:07:41):
great one, it's not gonna be because of Tom Brady.
Greg on the other side of the h the league,
in the NFC, who do you like in that game?
I actually like the Los Angeles Rams. Man. Everybody's jumping
to the Rams. I'm with I was a Saint almost
all year getting to the super Bowl and the last

(01:08:04):
couple of games, Greg, I just they don't feel the
same to me. No, they don't, am I right? They don't.
They look like a completely different team. And when you
look at when they have won and how they've won,
it's been a bashing. They've small teams, and they've out
physical teams, and they just don't look like the same

(01:08:25):
New Orleans Saints team that we saw in the regular season.
They look worn. And one of the reasons why I'm
picking the Rams is you when you've played a team
and you feel like you should have beaten the team
on their turf, in their environment. Although playoffs it'll step
up a notch, you know what it takes going into there.
You know you have a belief that we can beat
this team. We should have beat this team, and we

(01:08:47):
were without and that which what they were without was
a key to leave. Who can match up with the
Michael Thomas. Now, you can throw two all pro corners
at Michael Thomas and try to cover him, and I
think they will take If you take away Michael Thomas
and make everyone else speech, I feel you can. You
can beat the New Orleans Saints. You can start looking

(01:09:09):
at what the Cowboys did to the New Orleans Saints.
Michael Thomas was a non factor in that game and
they couldn't do anything offensively. It's the eye couple. We're
joined by Super Bowl champion Greg Jennings. Greg, you know,
we were just talking about the Patriots and the Chiefs
and I've never been Andy Reid has done a lot
during the regularly. I know he's owned Bill Belichick. I

(01:09:31):
think if Skip Bayless, I think of what he said
earlier this morning was they've scored forty or more points
against Belichick's defense and three of the last four times
that wow, that they've met. Yeah, and I'm just gonna say,
how big of a game is this for Andy Reid?
You know, here you go, you got an AFC championship
game at home. You got this hot shot quarterback. I

(01:09:52):
know their defense isn't the greatest, but they have a
lot of things lined up. A hard place to play
in Kansas City if they if they don't win this game,
will people look at Andy Reid different? Of course, because
because the last times that we've seen them play, has
Andy Reid won, He hasn't gotten. Yeah, you can put

(01:10:14):
up a lot of points, but at the end of
the day, that we put up enough points or four
points to beat you, that's all that Bill Belichick cares about.
When I come across that field to shake your hand,
I've won, sir. Great job. And when we look at
Andy Reid, he's always been right there on the cusp,
but never quite can just reach that pinnacle of where

(01:10:37):
we know he can be as a head coach. And
he is one of the best coaches that we've seen
um in our time in my opinion. But when it
when it matters in the playoffs in these games, it's
not so much that he he doesn't get it done.
And we we're gonna point the finger at Andy Reid,
but his teams just don't make it happen for him.

(01:11:00):
But the only reason that you do. Point And I
always say this, you gotta be fair. If they win
and his players perform well, Andy Reid gets credit, right,
So of course you know what I mean. So if
you lose, you gotta get some blame too. You can't
have it just if your players play well, then you
get the credit, and if they don't, it's on them. Yes, Greg,
One of your former teammates, Brett Farve, he said that

(01:11:23):
if he were Philadelphia, he'd take Nick Foles over Carson Wentz.
What do you do You agree with that? No? No,
absolutely not. You You can't. You can't do that. And
and and here's why, because I love what Nick Foles
is doing and I believe that he can continue to
do it Um if he's given the support upfront offensive

(01:11:45):
line in a great situation around him. He very accurate, UM,
knows how to lead, knows how to corral a locker room.
He has a very unique um sense of leadership tactics.
With this specific Philadelphia Eagles team, however, you have a
younger player, an even younger player that you you've seen

(01:12:09):
what he can provide for you all last year. We
saw it, and then he got hurt. And then then
Nick Foles went on this miraculous run. They have not
forgotten who Carson Wentz is when he is fully healthy.
We gotta remember he's coming off an injury that really
takes a year and a half to bounce back from.

(01:12:30):
So next year we should see the Carson Wentz or
they're hoping that they're going to see the Carson Wentz
that they saw twenty seventeen regular season. That's why that
was the year he's supposed to win the MVP and
Tom Brady wanted by the people. I clearly, I truly
I'm with you there. I believe he would have won
the MVP had he had he been healthy the entire season.

(01:12:52):
Likes to deal in hypothetical whatever, we deal with facts,
not feelings. All right, great job, mister Jennings. As always,
as always, we want to see you in Atlanta. Don't
avoid this. We want to get you on the set
with us out there. Let's do it, all right, and
then we're gonna go to Magic City too. All right.
Don't let he trying to corrupt this man. We we

(01:13:12):
we ain't rolling like that. Greg going there? Greg, how
do you even know what that is? Hey? Look, just
you gotta understand who what your adversary issue? That's right,
that's right, all right, brother, But that's a good food there, right,
all right, more of the eye couple coming up, but

(01:13:38):
first let's bring in Dab Carson. Dad, but just forget
what Rob has been what No, it's okay, it's all
right there you guys, Yeah, go have fun. We are
me and no, I ain't going the single man. If
I was single, I wouldn't go. No, Rob g I'm
taking because they make a good steak there, so mastros

(01:14:03):
won't do for a fight. Right now, Chris, you gotta
go to a strip joy that got out of the doghouse,
rob Gee, you don't need to be thrown back into doghouse.
A debits legendary. When you go to a city four
a week, you're supposed to check out like the highlights
of the town, A highlights A sad wow. I think
Atlanta can do better than that offense to the ladies

(01:14:24):
who worked there. So yeah, all right. Well. Sticking with
the NFL Chiefs, running back Spencer where will return from
a four game absence to play in Sunday's AFC Championship
game against the Patriots. What Eric Eric Berry is gonna
play he works through a heel injury, and the only
player out for Kansas City on the injury report is

(01:14:45):
linebacker Dorian O'Daniel, who's got an ankle injury. Weather forecast
for the AFC title game called for game time tempts
in the twenties rather than the Arctic blast earliest earlier
predicted Saint Sight and Benjamin Watson out because of appendis,
so he's going to miss what might have been the
final game of his career. He said he's going to
retire at the end of the postseason. NBA to Marcus

(01:15:06):
Cousins is making his Warriors debut tonight in LA against
the Clippers as he comes back from an achilles injury.
He won't have a specific minutes count, according to Steve Kurb,
but they're going to watch him closely. Lakers guard re
Genredo has been cleared for full contact practice and a
dribble with his surgically repaired right hand. Bulls rookie Wendell
car Jr. Is going to miss at least eight to

(01:15:27):
twelve weeks. He may even need season ending surgery. According
to the team. He's got to get that thumb repaired.
He injured in Tuesday's game against the Lakers. I mean,

And a quick note Major League Baseball. Ken Rosenthal reporting
that the Reds are in talks with the Yankees to
acquire starting pitchers Sonny Gray. We'll be back to the
odd couple in ten seconds. But first, a word from farmers.

(01:16:10):

thing or two. We are farmers under written my Farmers

Rob Parker, Chris Brusard back to you guys. Wow, the
Reds are messing around. They're trying to make something happen.

(01:16:51):
part is figuring out which way is easier. I'll tell
you what, Rob, I do not think the basketball world
is ready for this one. I'll explain X. It's the
eye couple of Fox Sports Radio. From a hot landing
on a car to a load of concrete falling on one,
We've covered it. Talk to farmers. We know a thing
or two because we've seen a thing or two. We

(01:17:11):
are farmers underwritten my Farmers truck fire insurance exchanges and
affiliates products unavailable in every state. Alright, it's the odd couple.
Is this, Ohio players? This is brickhouse commodoors. Commodorees are right.
Don't miss the Farmers Insurance Open is happening next week

(01:17:32):
at Tory Pines in San Diego. We are Farmers. All Right,
Rob Tonight Big Night. In the NBA, DeMarcus Boogie Cousins
is making his season debut with the Golden State Warriors,

(01:17:55):
and he's gonna start, which is surprising to me. But
what that means is that this is the first time
in over forty years Rob, since nineteen seventy five seventy
six that season, to be exact, first time in forty
years or forty plus that a team has started five

(01:18:17):
players who were All Stars, not only All Stars at
one point in their career, but all Stars the previous season.
That's incredible. Oh wait a minute, he was an All
Star the year got hurt. Yeah, because he got hurt
after he got hurt late after an All Star. Last year.

(01:18:39):
Check that was with Biggie an All Star. He was
an All Star. I believe last year he was because
he got hurt. Okay then late, Yeah, I totally thought
he got hurt earlier didn't make the All Star. I
think the question is this, and I when I say this,
is this the best starting five of all time? I

(01:18:59):
don't mean that this starting five would beat the Jordan Bulls,
the Showtime Lakers. But I'm just saying each player like
these five players individually being in the same starting lineup,
because I wouldn't take them necessarily over Magic, Kareem Worthy,
and Byron Scott, and that that that team or the

(01:19:20):
Jordan Bulls. But the Jordan you know, the Lakers started
Kurt Rambis, so he can't compare to any of these guys.
And with the Warriors, you know, the Bulls started at times,
you know, whether it was Bill Winnington, Will Purdue, whoever,
Icy King. You know, so you want me to give
you that the Celtics in seventy five seventy six were

(01:19:41):
the last team to start five guys who had been
All Stars of the year before. You want to hear
those names? Yeah, uh, four of them are Hall of
Famers Joe Joe White, Charlie Scott, Dave Cowen's John Havelchek.
Those are the four Hall of famers. And then Paul
Sile Paulso was a good player, but right, not a

(01:20:02):
Hall of Famer. So I believe Rob that this is
when you just say individual five individual players, that this
is the best starting five of all time in that regard.
And here's why I would pick take it over that
Celtics group because even though they have four Hall of
Famers and this team might only have three. I don't
know about Draymond, you know, but I think Clay everybody

(01:20:27):
in the Hall of Fame. Yeah, but now he's starting
to break down his body, you know, if he maybe
you know, we'll see what the numbers aren't there right right?
If he had this gonna be based on winning this
bad year two could really bring you know what I
mean a lot. If they break up, like if Duran
and they don't win anymore, then I don't know they'll
make it. But Durant and Steph, I believe, and I

(01:20:48):
think most people would agree, are gonna be ranked higher
historically than Dave Cowens and John Havelcheck, even though Havliceck
was phenomenal. Um, I think those two would be ranked higher.
And that's one reason. And I would take Cousin Boogie
over Silas, Jojo Wright and Carle Charlie Scott. We were great,
very underrated, But I would go with this warrior starting five.

(01:21:10):
What about the Lakers of two thousand and four where
they had four Hall of Famers and who was the
other guy? Who was the other guy? Was it Rick Fox? No,
Derek Fisher? Know who they started Devin George because that
was always a trivia question of that team two thousand,
Devin George was with. That was I think, even though
even though I know that the other two other guys

(01:21:31):
who joined Kobe's shacklong and that's but they still were four.
Hall of Famer Gary Peyton and Alone. Right, I would
what I would give you is this just for historic achievements.
Like if you took each one of them in their prime,
you would probably say that starting five, at least that
four it was ridiculo. Even by right, they're still gonna

(01:21:52):
be better than about four. But but those you know,
like you said, Malone and Peyton were No, they weren't.
They were at the end of the right Malone he
I think he retired the next year or he thought
he was getting a championship. Right, But let's see what
they do. I mean, we'll see. It doesn't matter. You know,
you can't always just throw together talent and have it work.
We'll see I couple keep it locked. Yes, indeed, it

(01:22:16):

gonna take a little bit of a break and bring

(01:22:39):
in Gerald Washington. He is on the co main event
of the Josse Seatso Lopez Verse Keith Thurman fight on Saturday.
That's this sat on Saturday, January twenty six at eight
pm Eastern time. It's on Fox. He will be fighting
the exciting heavyweight, unbeaten Polish contender Adam Klanaki. So that's

(01:23:05):
gonna be a great fight. So, uh definitely check that out.
Let's get with Gerald Washington. Gerald was thank you. How
you guys doing great now? You are six foot six
inches tall, tall for a heavyweight, although they are there
are a lot of tall ones out there now. But
your backstory is interesting. You play football at USC and

(01:23:27):
you also were in the Navy. So did you When
did you start boxing? I started boxing after I got
out of college. I was trying to get it to this.
I just did it in between. UH. I signed with
the Buffalo Bills as a three agent in two thousand
and nine. UH and then in between training and I started.
I started, Uh, I tried to. I started boxing and

(01:23:50):
then you know to keep you know, staying shape and stuff.
And I was trying to and then I try to
get into this program that they had all American heavyweights.
But I was just a little too old because I
went to the Muthtair, I went to college. So I
was twenty six to cut off with twenty five, twenty
six one on twenty seven. So but I loved it
so much. I just went on this stuff with it
and then, uh, everything worked out for me. I was

(01:24:12):
ever signed with Al Hayman, and he got my uh,
he got my career going. He got off the jump start.
So you're you're nineteen two and one. One of your
losses was to Deontay Wilder, who obviously is the heavyweight champ.
You saw his fight, I'm sure against Tyson Fury a

(01:24:32):
few months ago. It was a controversial finish. I mean
it was a draw. Who would you think won that fight?
Then to me, I said, this is what I said.
The fight wasn't exactly how I thought it was gonna go.
You know what I mean? It was? It was it
Tyson Theory Tyson Fury one if he admitted to the end.

(01:24:54):
I was younger type theory unless you know, unless, unless
you know. But I thought it Beyonce Water if he
be in trouble, and it was like we got a
little bit of folks, you know what I mean, prison
Sury did this thing. But you got the two the
two knockdown and that that one in the last round
was nothing. It's like it counts for anything more. But
it was just sufficious knock and uh and it was

(01:25:18):
uh the sn't come back man to finish the fight
and then to finish that round strong and you gotta
get that man some credit too. But uh but yeah, man,
he did this, he did this thing. Man, So points wise,
you know what I mean? Did Beyonce doing enough? You
know what I mean? I don't know, but I know
that the knockdown from Beyonce Water that committed an arguable thing,

(01:25:38):
you know what I mean, Like, hey, man, knock down
two times, get realities down. That's only a ten eight
round now, So how many rounds did he really win?
You know what I mean? He had two tight rounds? Yeah,
because you got the twelve rounds. The twelve round man,
So like if you had to point up you know
what I mean. But but you know what, it was good.
It was a good fight. It was good for funding Beyonce.

(01:25:59):
Well how to keep it? Got to keep it, thurty
Pery got you know what I mean, He got to
keep his thing too because it was a drug. So
then nobody really lost and nobody, you know what I mean,
they'll settle it again and rematch more. It definitely didn't
walk right. Hey Gerald, First thing, I'm thinking, you're in
the navy. Were you on the submarines? Six six? How

(01:26:21):
was that? Man? Look today I was I was shaving
my hand today and I and I having a scrape
at the back. I was cutting first back of my
head man and I kind of uh, I get like
they mustn't try to wrinkle or something. Man, But it
but the play winning it cut the skin and then
like getting off like the ball a time work of skin. Wow, right,
But that that never minding the navy man when I

(01:26:43):
was wanted those to those doors man, those ship man,
it was they might have been that about you know
about it six foot you know what I mean? And
I would duck my head down and duck my eyes
side of low bus below the below the doorway right,
but sometimes it would catch it very tough to my head,
you know what. I'm in the back of it. I
and get down, you know, because you got to step
over and get down. Right. That's the first thing I

(01:27:04):
thought was it must have been hell and been in
the sub Yeah it was. I was on the ships.
I wasn't on the stuff, but it was still we
still gotta, you know, something to happen. We still got
to steal off the compartments and everything. So you gotta
so that they had they had the doors, the doorways
like that where it has to you know, where you
have the little spinning thing like you see on the
movies and stuff. So you did that before you went

(01:27:25):
to U. I see to play football. Yeah they all
see in high school, right, But I had four years
of RTC, so I have military science. Man. But on
Thursdays we were dressed up, put on our uniform and
rocket to school, you know what I mean. So I
just got to since nine grade, nine, ten eleven sols grade,
I kind of got to got a little military swagon me. Man.
I just wanted to go. Man, I just heard so

(01:27:46):
many great stories and I wanted to go travel and
see the world. Man. And just and just be out there,
you know what I mean. I always wanted to be
an explorer. I always wanted to be a pinary, you
know what I mean. I always wanted to be just
that guy just be out there just going to see
the difference, the different points than just mean different people man,
and seeing the world and the culture and just you know,
putting it all together. Man, half starts till so I
went and neglisted to the Navy. That's great. It's the

(01:28:09):
eye couple. We are joined by heavyweight contender Gerald Washington
will be will be fighting on Saturday, January twenty six.
He's the co headliner for the Fox PBC Fight Night
and he'll be going against unbeaten Polish contender Adam Kolnaki. Gerald,
does football prepare you for boxing? Is there anything you

(01:28:31):
take from it? Did you experience concussions in football or
did it bother you at all? Or did it help
you as far as being a boxer, No, it definitely helps,
you know what I mean. Like, like as far as
my my core strength and my found dating when it
comes to being an athlete and being strong, I got

(01:28:52):
there from USC you know what I'm saying. Like I
got this from a Division one program. I'm a solid
athlete because of going to US. Now, uh, as far
as football goals, yeah, I have to deal with big guys,
you know, three hundred and thirty and three hundred and
sixty pound guys. But it's a it's a different game,
you know what I mean. But it's totally different, you
know what I mean, the strength and the explosiveness and

(01:29:13):
all the all the muscles, the stuff is shoes in boxing,
that's not the same things that you use and and
I mean in football, there's not of the same things
that you use in boxes. I mean, it's a it's
a it's a different game, man, But you but I
definitely carried over the strength and the worst ethic and
just and just the game plan and that that I
take from football, you know what I mean. I try
to incorporate that into my boxing. Now. Wilder's similar. I mean,

(01:29:36):
he was an athlete in other sports and didn't make it,
you know, to the pros, and then picked up boxing.
You can see with him, you know, he's very unorthodox.
Doesn't look that skilled. I mean we saw it in
the Fury fight. But he just has a huge punch.
Things about a thick about water is that he just

(01:29:56):
knows that what he has in his hand, right, he
knows that he told this shot as old as he can,
and he cracked you with it. You know what I'm saying.
He got a good he got a high percenter to
knock you right, you know what I mean. Right, So
he believes in that. He's like, man, I just gotta
touch you, you know what I'm saying. So he he
gonna throw that shot with all his mike. Sometimes they
make him a little sick man. But sometimes he catch
you with it and then boom. You know what I'm saying.

(01:30:17):
I mean shit, every other every other times worked for him,
you know what I mean. So you can't tell him like, man,
this should all work. Nah, I became a heavyweight champingo
the world like this. I can do whatever I want
now and now are you? Are you more of a boxer?
I attribute his lack of skill to just starting late.
Are you similar to Wilder? Are you more of a boxer? No,
I'm more of a boxer. Man. I got my thing,

(01:30:39):
you know, I try to. I'm more disciplined than my stuff,
you know what I mean. Like he like, maybe I'll
do it a little bit more wilder, like you know,
they forget it. Man, I'm about to just say I'm
about to just let him go, you know what i mean,
because it ain't like he just whipping you with a
jat and like wow, wow, you know whopping you with
a jato, you know, and and ain't getting you out
of there. He just kind of like pawn. You know

(01:30:59):
what I'm saying, Hell, Hell, hell getting position? Okay, he
getting closed okay, so by you know what I mean, boom,
You know what I'm saying, that's his game. It ain't
like he said, you know, he has Everybody has his
own their own thing, you know what I mean. And
he got his own thing and it worked for him.
He's been successful. You know what I'm saying. All the
best to him, you know what i mean? All right,
Gerald did we got about thirty seconds left? Uh? Kyle Naki,

(01:31:22):
what's your prediction for this fight? Man? It's gonna be
a heck of a fight. Man. We got a big tuugh.
You know what I'm saying, strong will God man, and
he's gonna he's he's coming to face me, man, and
I'm I'm on. I'm on a new level though, baby.
You know what I'm saying. I'm ready to the rock
and I can't wait to get down on it and
get back to books. And I can't wait to get
back in there and get to work. All right, sound

(01:31:44):
like a knockout? That is that what you're thinking? Hey man,
I'm I'm gonna go to work, all right. No, no, no,
he didn't bite. You didn't bite. You don't you didn't bite.
Thanks so much, my brother, Thank you, good luck, all right,
thank you man, all right, peace? All right, Rob, that's

(01:32:06):
a good interview. I'm that really makes me want to
see this guy fight. He's got an interest in backstory.
You came in the day just on cloud nine. I
mean you were floating, float on you are all that?
All right? And uh for those that don't know why,
here's why. This is about Independence Day for NFL America.

(01:32:30):
The reign of terror will finally be over. This is
what we're all talking about. Kansas City has to do
this for every football fan in America outside of New England.
We need this to end the end of Tom Brady,
the end of Bill Belichick, the end of cheating scandals.

(01:32:51):
This sordid history, part of history in the NFL will
come to an end. It's all set up and we
can't wait to finally move on where we could have
other football teams that played by the rules and and
can give of some variety when it comes to going

(01:33:12):
to the Super Bowl and seeing some new teams there.
This is it. I've been calling for it for years,
but finally this is a year where I'm gonna be right.
Pon Brady could do that. Pem Brady couldn't do that.
The one thing I agree with that in that monologue

(01:33:37):
spiel whatever you was a rand, it was rand. The
one thing I agree with is I've been calling for
for years now. That's right. You say the same thing
every January, but I mean it last seven years. It
hasn't been that long. There's two thousand and eleven you

(01:34:00):
and saying the same thing, and now you think you're right.
But I got news for you. Rob. As much as
I like Patrick Mahomes, and I really like Patrick Mahomes,
I think he's going to just wreak havoc on the
NFL record. He but it is not his time to

(01:34:20):
the New England Patriots will win Sunday. What we got
wings always, I'm very confident. I'm very confident. Tom Brady
is not done. I know you want it, but he's not.
Let me give you a few facts. I don't know you.

(01:34:41):
I don't even know that you're gonna say anything like
after I give you these, you might just run off
and let it. Let me lead us into the break.
But anyway, in primetime games this season, and you do
know this because while I was singing Patrick Mahomes praises
all season long, you were killing him. And one of

(01:35:04):
the things you said, they don't get it done in
primetime games, and you're right, including the playoffs, they are
two and four this season in prime time games. Know
what New England is four and one? And guess what
this weekend's game is gonna be primetime. I'm not time,

(01:35:27):
I'm not done. The game starts at six o' What
is that six o'clock? Eas, this is the big game. Everybody,
every primetime fan in America who's going to be watching?
Google what primetime is? Prime time is after eight pm.
That's prime time from eight to eleven. Time means when
you're the main game night Monday night, Thursday night. That's

(01:35:50):
what and it is the main event. It's a Saturday's
League game all out of that time. Everybody's gonna be watching.
You're number two this season, including the playoffs verse playoff teams.
You you ripped the Patriots, all you o. They they're
beating up on the little sisters of the poor. They're

(01:36:10):
beating up on the AFC East the least and all
that against playoff teams. Roy Parker, Kansas City was three
and four in the regular season, two and four, but
three and four New England. You want to guess what
they were against playoff teams? Oh? Something five and Oh
that's right. They took They didn't take Buffalo seriously, they

(01:36:33):
didn't take my hand me seeing your Detroit lying seriously.
They went in their cocky and looking forward to the
next game, and they got beat. But when it came
time to prepare, when it came time to really man up,
step up, you knew you had to bring your a game.
They brought it every time. Last fact I get here,

(01:36:54):
latis fact. Talk about a solo show, your little rant
on Colin for three minutes. We even put music behind it.
I don't hear any beat behind mine. I need a
beat that's right to drown out this gibberish. All right,
here you go they see. We'll see what the callers

(01:37:15):
think if this is gibberish. All right, in the regular
season for his career, this is in subfreezing temperature, because
it's gonna be an Arctic blast. I think it's still
gonna be chilling. Now, get out is Chi. It's gonna
be below freezing. That sounds like a drink from seven
to eleven? Which one of you talk freezing, it's gonna

(01:37:36):
be below That was your best one today. I'm not
saying much but that it's gonna be below freezing all
right in the regular season for his career, in subfreezing temperatures.
Tom Brady twenty and five in the playoffs, thirteen and two.
I'm done. I'm glad you're done, because none of that matters,

(01:37:58):
none of it, all right, this is these are the
numbers that really matter. They are oh and three in
their last three AFC Championship games on the road. Tom
Brady and them, they don't travel well, they don't play
well on the road. They haven't won it on the
road AFC game in fifteen years. Okay, I'm talking about

(01:38:21):
the Patriots. And then when you talk about talking about
them on the road, they lost. They were they lost
five road games to all non playoff teams, including the Lions,
of Dolphins and the Steelers. Oh my, they they are
not when you go on the road the same team

(01:38:42):
that they are when they play at Foxborough. The whole
idea that all of a sudden, the narrative, everything in
the past that's positive they love. But when there's negative
stats they act like it doesn't matter because it's the past.
You can't have it both ways, Christmas. Not in Rob
Parkers America. You can't. I've been calling for it for years,

(01:39:02):
but finally this is a year where I'm gonna be right.
That's the one sentence in that whole seventy eight sentence spiel.
That's the one that wasn't even a sentence, that was
a phrase. That's the one phrase that was true. I
can't believe you guys gonna disregard those facts I spent.

(01:39:23):
All I know is eight seven seven ninety nine on
Fox eight seven seven nine nine, six sixty three sixty nine.
Let's see what you think. Give us a call. Is
at the beginning of the end of the Patriots dynasty.
We'll continue this conversation with you. Eight seven seven ninety
nine on Fox Next, it's the Eye Couple, Fox Sports Radio.

(01:39:44):
I've been calling for it for years, but finally this
is a year where I'm gonna be right. Fox Sports
Radio has the best sports talk lineup in the nation.

com and within the iHeart Radio AP search f SR

Talk to farmers. We know a thing or two. Because
we've seen a thing or two, we are farmers underwritten
my Farmers truck fire insurance, exchanges and affiliates products unavailable
in every state. You're on with the Eye Couple. It's
Chris and rob let Us. Tell you this car shopping.

(01:40:25):
It can be confusing. They hit you with terms like dealer, price, list, price, invoice,
True Cars what you need Because True Car shows you
what other people pay for the car you want. I mean,
that's perfect. You can't beat that. That way you can
easily recognize what's the good price and what's a bad price.
Takes all the haggling out of it. When you're ready

(01:40:46):
to buy a new or even a used car, make
sure you visit True Car you'll be a lot more
confident when you go to buy your automobile. All Right,
we threw it out to you. You heard Rob and
I discuss the Patriots they done? Is this the end?
I've been calling for it for years? But finally I'm
glad you this is a year where I'm gonna be right.

(01:41:08):
I'm glad you admitted that. You said it perfectly too.
This is the year I'm going to be right, even
though you're it's not the year. It is the year.
You know, when we come in here on Monday, man,
you I know you're gonna Mike have your stuff slump
shoulders and all that, because you might do that might
be a first sick day on the You know, when
your spiel reminded me of partially, I'll say partially because

(01:41:30):
of the music. It reminded me an Animal House. Remember
the Animal House? Yea, who it wasn't Belushi classic. It
remind because they had the music playing behind it, right,
and he was just his facts were all all the
way off like kind of that's what it was. Is
that what it was? All right? Eight seven, seven ninety

(01:41:50):
nine on Fox. Let's start with Wayne and Georgia. You're
on the odd couple of Fox Sports Radio. What's up?
Wayne was going on? Rob's going on Christmas? Rob? I
suppose do you back when he was on with a
Willer back on the weekends. Wow? Yeah, sure, you just
got a text from Rob. Yeah, I need some support.
I'm drowning up here. There's always whenever somebody agrees with me,

(01:42:12):
says I just texted man, hit me up. What's up? Waye?
So um, of course I'm on your side this time around,
because I can't stand in the Patriots right. Everybody's tired
to them. But the perfect thing for me is a
Raiders fan, is I'm hoping that I get a moment
much like their dynasty started in minds well, the one
that didn't start with my Raiders back in the day.
I'm hoping Tom Brady's driving down to get this win,

(01:42:32):
and I'm hoping that he fumbles, and I'm hoping since
there's no tuck rule, they take it away and they
lose so dramatically perfect And that's a good point. Would
you guys, as you you know, I want to see
the Patriots win. Would you rather than get blown off
the field, or would you rather than losing some close,
dramatic fashion. I would rather Tom Brady be involved with

(01:42:55):
those of pick six, you know, or something where where
it's like they got a chance the wind. Yeah, and
he just doesn't and he plays to make a mistake.
I just think that's a better ending, not that I carry. Yeah, alright,
thanks all right, Tyrese in Maryland. You're on with Chris
and Rob. How are you guys doing tonight? We're doing okay?

(01:43:20):
So I know Tom Brady is the so called greatest
of all who had now Christen sar okay, uh quarterback
player quarterback? Okay, thank you for saying that. Um So,
Patrick Mahomes is going to ball out against the Patriots defense,

(01:43:43):
which you know which bawled out last week. But it
was against the charm I mean the charge is worth
you know, were like sort of what they were better
teams some the man that just gave you all that
eloquent talk about the hatreds and how they're gonna lose,
how the dynasty is gonna fall apart, how this is

(01:44:03):
definitely it. He said the same exact thing about the
Chargers and you not the are a better team. Just you.
I saw you on the Herd today. You said, Colin,
look take away the names on the back of the jerseys.
If you didn't know Tom Brady, Bill Belichick, whoever, you
would never pick them over the Chiefs. You said the

(01:44:26):
same thing about the Chargers, and you're right, they wouldn't
have picked them over the Chargers. They wouldn't have picked
them over the Chiefs. But that's the thing. You can't
take the names off the back of the jerseys. You
can't remove Bill Belichick's history, Tom Brady's history. I'm telling you, Rob,
you got time before the pigs can pick off pick
the pat You know I'm not doing that. There's no way,

(01:44:49):
no how am I going back? All right, Rob Parker
has guaranteed the Chiefs win on Sunday, But would he
bet his life savings on it? Hackey? Now we'll find
out out next, but first let's bring in Dab Carson
for the latest in. So you're talking about betting three Wow,

(01:45:09):
I was going to say betting your life savings. This
is going to be an interesting conversation. All right. NFL
News Saints tight end and Benjamin Watson's been ruled out
of Sunday's NFC Championship game against the Rams. He's dealing
with appendis sinus. Spencer wear will return for the Chiefs
as he recovers from his hamstring injury. Eric Berry is
also expected to play as he returns from a heel injury.

(01:45:32):
Dorian O'Donnell the linebacker O'Daniel, I should say the linebacker,
the only player ruled out at this point for Kansas
City for the AFC title game against the Patriots. And
you guys were talking about the temperatures. They're expected to
be in the twenties, so yes, below freezing, but higher
than that single digit below zero Arctic blast that everybody

(01:45:52):
was talking about a few days ago. Big changes in Dallas.
Cowboys are out of the playoffs and of course Scott
in a hand now out as offensive coordinator. Jason Garrett
made that announcement earlier today. The Lakers point guard or
Genrondo has been cleared for full contact practice so he
can return to the team. Bulls rookie Wendell Carter Junior

(01:46:12):
is gonna miss at least eight to twelve weeks and
may even need season and in surgery to repair the
thumb injury he suffered Tuesday against the Lakers, and the
Nuggets are hopefully Isaiah Thomas will make his season debut
before the All Star break underway. Right now, about eleven
seconds to go in the game. It's a tight win
and Detroit Pistons up ninety six ninety three over the
heat halftime in Minnesota, fifty eight apiece for the Spurs

(01:46:34):
at the Tea Wolves. And it is a final from
Boston Celtics with a one twenty two one sixteen win
over the Grizzlies. Also a final from Orlando the Nets
one beating the Magic one seventeen or one. Look at that,
Look at what they've done. You know when I yesterday
I did my mid season you know, mid season awards,
and I thought about giving Kenny Atkins in Coach of

(01:46:56):
the Year. I gave it to Mike Malone because Denver's
just much better. But this dude is working, and you
know what, dep they have a lot of money. Come yea,
they have two good guards. Yeah, DeAngelo Russell and Spencer Dinwiddie.
But I'm just saying no, Yeah, it's they could be interested.
But you know, they started out on a skid, then
they had that hot streak and they're above five hundred dollars,

(01:47:19):
so they are absolutely so they will be a fun
one to watch, and you know we're going to be
back with the odd Couple in ten seconds. But first
a word from farmers. From a dog accidentally flooding a
living room to a dog taking a joy ride, we've
covered it. Talk to farmers. We know a thing or two.
Because we've seen a thing or two. We are farmers
under written my Farmers Struck fire insurance exchanges and affiliates

(01:47:40):
products unavailable in every state. Chris Bruce Sard, Rob Parker
back to you guys. Thanks job, all right, it's the
Eye Couple. Were coming to you live from the Geico
Fox Sports radio studios. It's easy to say fifteen percent
or more in your car insurance with Geico. Go to
Geico dot com or call eight hundred nine four seven Auto.
The only hard part is figuring out which way is easy.

(01:48:01):
And we are pleased to bring this man in, I
mean heading in the NFL Championship weekend. He's a great
guy to talk to, great resource for all you listeners
because I know some of you will be putting down
money on these games. It's none other than Jay Rude
from MGM Resorts. He's the vice president of Racing Sports,
also the co host of Behind the Book. Jay, welcome

(01:48:24):
back to the Eye couple Man. Great to have you on. Yeah,
thanks guys, good to be here. Let's talk a little football, Jay.
Let me start it out with this. I mean the Patriots.
We know they are at three points underdogs. They haven't
been an underdog since Week one of the twenty sixteen season,
but they have gone five and one against the spread
with five outright wins in six games as the quote

(01:48:47):
unquote dog over the past five years. So it sounds
to me like it could be bet against the Patriots
at your own peril. Is that accurate? Yeah? I always
add vocate that, you know, going against Brady and Belichick
with your hard earned money sometimes doesn't work out the
way you planned it for. But you know this number

(01:49:10):
is telling you with the Chiefs minus three or minus
a dollar twenty a little bit more extra vig on
the Chiefs. Basically, it's to tell you if if this
game was if this was the Super Bowl on a
neutral field, it would basically be picking at this point.
You know, it's just home field advantage basically for the Chiefs.
Maybe you know three and a half is probably the
appropriate home field advantage, so um, you know, we're expecting

(01:49:30):
a pretty close game. The over under is set at
fifty six point five. Uh, these two teams combined to
score eighty three points when they met back in October. Again,
you'd think that these two teams are going to hit
the over right, and you would assume more or because
it's cold and colder than it was back in October,

(01:49:51):
maybe not well, you know the school of thought right
now amongst the sharp community, because this total was at
fifty eight and a half earlier in the week, you know,
when they started saying it was going to be arctic
type of conditions. And then of course you throw in
that blood moon, wolf moon or whatever lunar eclipse is
going to happen. Uh, you know, who knows. But the

(01:50:12):
trend has been to the under on this particular game.
But there is not much of a forecast for wind,
which is, you know, the biggest handicapping element that we
consider when we're booking these games these totals is the win.
So if there's no wind and it's a it's just
cold and calm, you know, it could very easily be
a shootout. Now in the NFC Rams and Saints over

(01:50:35):
under is set at fifty seven. When they met in November,
they combined to score eighty points. So it seems like
the over is the obvious bet. Well, yeah, I mean,
you know, the the over the total points scored for
the season in the NFL was averaging about forty seven
and a half points, so you know, this is nearly
ten points over the average, and obviously, you know these

(01:50:57):
two teams are a little bit above average. So I
would say I would think that more people are going
to be betting the over in this game. Me personally,
looking at this, if I was gonna, you know, like
you said, I'd have to bet my life savings on it,
I would look to the under on this game. I
think the under probably offers the most value on this game,

(01:51:17):
and I think that you might be able to squeeze
another point point in half out of this before game time. Interesting. Interesting, Okay,
it's the eye couple. We are joined by Jay Rude
of MGM Resorts in Las Vegas. Jay, all the home
teams came away with a victory last week. Was that
a good thing or a bad thing for Vegas? Oh?
That was probably the best divisional week that we've had

(01:51:41):
in my recent memory. We had just an enormous amount
of money on the Colts, which was basically dead in
the water in the first quarter, and same thing with
the Chargers. I mean it was it was almost those
two games were identically played by almost the exact same
set of people that we're betting last weekend, and it

(01:52:03):
worked out really well for us. That's not normally the
case during that weekend. That's kind of a tough weekend
for us because generally, you know, a lot of people
do line up on the home teams in those divisional
championship or divisional rounds. So what's the ideal result for
Vegas this weekend. Well, you know, the last five years,

(01:52:23):
last ten NFCAFC championship games, I believe it's gone nine
and one to the home team and covering. We're gonna
need uh, We're gonna need the Rams a little bit
in this matchup, and we're gonna need the Patriots oddly
enough in this matchup. We keep getting steady chief money
and that's why we keep that we have minus three

(01:52:45):
months to dollar twenty right now, because we're just adding
a little bit extra vig for the individuals that keep
wanting to pound the Chiefs on us. Because I'm not
willing to get off a three and go to three
and a half. Giving three and a half to the
Patriots seems like suicide to me. So we're gonna stay
on the re in trying to you know, balance the
money with a little extra viig movement here and there.
But I do think that the total in the Saints game,

(01:53:08):
the under in that game is gonna be a pretty
important to us as well. What one quick question, have
you guys ever pulled like a game off the board
because it's like or stopped taking bets on a game.
Has that ever happened because it just looked like the
money's too too much one way or the other? Uh No, No,
I mean I actually when we start to see the

(01:53:28):
games where it's like everyone lines up on one side,
that's kind of when me and my team we sort
of salivateing a couple of guys when we see a
high ticket count one way and a high money count
on the team. You know, you would be shocked how
many times that comes in opposite. Wow, in the world. So,
I mean that's like a that's like a flag to

(01:53:49):
go bet it the other way, you know, with a
bunch of guys in the bookmaking business, Jay, are the
oddsmaker's rooting for a certain Super Bowl matchup? Like, do
they want to see the Patriots in there? No? Think blood? Yeah,
So so what we're kind of really looking for is
we're looking for we sit really good with the Patriots

(01:54:10):
in the future book, right because they opened up a
short price to begin the season. The kanaz Chiefs were,
you know, in the forty to one range. Um, New
Orleans was in the eighteen to twenty range. And you
got to remember, we opened up our new sports books
uh in Biloxi, uh like in early August. So we
took a ton of of Saint money at eighteen to

(01:54:34):
one down in Mississippi. So we're looking for the Saints
not to get there. I think we would be pretty
happy with with Rams and whoever. All right, Jay Rue,
great stuff, man, great information, And we always appreciate having
you on the Eye Couple. All right, anytime, my pleasure, guys. Yeah,
all right, you know we do it every week. Come

(01:54:56):
get some of this free money. We are picking the
championship games against the spread, and our pigs can pick off.
And that's next. It's the Eye Couple of Fox Sports
Radio from a hot air balloon landing on a car
to a load of concrete falling on one, We've covered it.

(01:55:17):
Talk to farmers. We know a thing or two because
we've seen a thing or two. We are farmers underwritten.
My farmers took fire insurance exchanges and affiliates products unavailable
in every state. Speaking of farmers, make sure you catch
all the action at the Farmer's Insurance Opening. It's happening

(01:55:38):
next week at Torrey Pines in San Diego. That's the
Farmers Insurance Open. Visit Farmers Insurance Open dot com for
tournament information, or joined the conversation at hashtag fa O
nineteen ash hashtag FAO nineteen. We are farmers, Alex. I

(01:56:00):
have to give you credit. It's Funky Friday, and you
came with the funk Man for real? So do I
get my street car back? Street cars street cars don't
want to be able to come and go as I please. Yes,
you got it back. Didn't he come with the funk Yeah?
Oh today, Absolutely, you came with the funk Man. I
didn't know you knew about this stuff. This is all

(01:56:21):
before you were born, you know. I DJ on the side, right,
I know, But this is before you were Born. Don't
mean you can't do research, all right, all right, I
hear you. All right, Let's get a couple of calls in.
You guys want to talk about Tom Brady and is
he the greatest football player not just quarterback player of
all time? Both Robin I disagree, although I do think

(01:56:42):
he's the best quarterback ever, not the greatest player. Let's
go to Greg in Michigan. Greg, you're on with the
odd couple. Hey, guys, thanks for taking my call. Too
many shows take calls anymore, so I do appreciate it.
Thank you. Hey. Um. One of the things I think,
I think Tom Brady is probably the most accomplished football

(01:57:04):
player ever. But looking at Chris's guidelines as a player
that can do many things, I think you almost have
to look at Walter Payton because he could he could pass,
that's a great sweetness, run, he could catch out of
the backfield. I mean, he could do everything. That's a
great call, Greg, I think he has to be In

(01:57:26):
this discussion. We brought up Lawrence Taylor, Jerry Rice, Jim Brown.
You're right, he was strong, fast, had moves. You could
picture him essentially, you know, being a linebacker or cornerbacker,
safety or something because he was he was a great athlete. Yeah,
that's a good call. Greg, thanks for listening, thanks for participating,

(01:57:48):
and remember it's your show too, It's not just our show, right,
did your show too? We appreciate when people chime in
and give us their takes. We love it. Definitely. Let's
go to Steve and Vermont. Steve, welcome to the OCAR.
Thanks for taking my call. Love you guys. Thank you.
First of all, i'd just like to pay tribute to
the original odd couple man, Jack Klugman. To let me

(01:58:12):
ask you this, Steve, Who's which one of us is Oscar?
I'd say rob a boy, Yeah, Steve, you know Steve Man. Look,
you know I am. I might not the Oscar, but
I ain't Felix. Yeah, I ain't Felix. I'll give you that.

(01:58:34):
I gotta tell you this. I'm the fuckiest white boy
you've ever met. Met me. So you enjoying funky Fridays? Yeah,
I didn't know. Y'all got funk up there in Vermont.
We got we got snow, we got all right. That
guy Greg stole my thunder a little bit, um Walter Peyton, Amen,

(01:58:55):
But I'd say Gail says that guy was right up
there with Walter Sweetness, the greatest, and I just take uh,
I don't like this whole greatest athlete Tom Brady. Think
about if he had to face the Steel Curtain or
the Purple people either, he would he propped himself, he

(01:59:17):
just laid down. Well, I wouldn't go that. I mean, look,
I think he would have been great in any era.
I definitely believe that. No, no, because nobody can touch
the quarterback of the tight ends anymore. He's free to
do it every watch. If those guys buckets would kill him,
this was a different game, no doubt a body I know.
That's that's why I think it's skewed. Well, the number

(01:59:40):
going to be skewed. We've talked about that at the
end of the season. Like Patrick Mahomes, if he continues
to be a great player like he looks, I mean,
he's gonna demolish the record book. Yeah, but you know,
but also you know after first year there's gonna be
a little adjustment. Well, we got a bett forty touchdowns.

(02:00:02):
You said, no, don't don't try to weasel out of it.
It's forty touchdowns. He definitely throwing for forty tonight. No,
I'm not paying your wig night. Alright, I want to
all right, it's time for the Pigskin Pickoff. You ready
to retire? The Odd Couple is gonna make you rich
gambling corruption. It's their pig skin pickoff. Alrighty, it is

(02:00:28):
your favorite segment of the week, The pig Skin Pickoff
on Fox Sports Radio's The Odd Couple with Chris Bruce
Start and Rob Parker. Alrighty. Last week Rob was two
and two, Chris one and three. Kay, what that is?
That is? That is what? That knows what step? No?

(02:00:49):
I was too pretty cold. You had the Cowboys, you
had the Chargers, you had the Eagle. I didn't have
the Charge. I had the Patriots. You know, I've been
with the Patriots the whole time. I know I think
he took the Patriots, but that they would with the
points you did. Chris, you lost, all right? I don't
know about all that. Yes, go ahead, Dad, I trying
to mess with my record. Throw Jonah in there. Jonas,

(02:01:11):
Jonas ain't in mind. Don't count Jonas your feelings. Take
this serious questions and his feelings because I love Jonas,
but he I am not counting his picks on mine.
All right. Even counting his points, his still compete with Rob.
Here's the overall of Chris forty nine and thirty four. Rob,

(02:01:32):
you are forty two and forty one, so you're one
game over five hundred, just like the Nuts. Yes, and
I'm I'm the Warriors and the way the Nuts are
competing with Rob on this. All right, Well, we're gonna
go to the early game first. How's that three eastern
kickoff from Mercedes Benz Stadium. Saints hosting the Rams. New
Orleans is a three and a half point home favorite.

(02:01:53):
Who you got Battle of the the coach's name Sean.
By the way, Chris, you're from New Orleans, so go
ahead pick against you a hometown team. I'm picking the
Rams to win. How many points are there? Three and
a half? Saints are three and a half point favorites. Oh,
Saints are okay, Well, I'm picking the Rams, so I

(02:02:14):
think they're gonna win. Rob Parker, all right, I'm taking
the Rams plus the points. I think the Rams win.
The Rams went out right, I just think the Rams
are trending up. I expect them to win. All right, Well,
then we moved for the six forty Eastern kick at
Arrowheaded Chiefs and even three point favorite over the Patriots,

(02:02:34):
Kansas City hosting the AFC Championship for the first time
in franchise history. I've got the Patriots. Are they winning
the game or the game? I have, of course, the
Chiefs minus the three points. I think the Chiefs finally
end this reign of terror. We called a New England
page heard this is the year right put it. Yes,

(02:02:57):
you can play tomorrow or Monday. Let's play it back
from twenty and twelve. We stop it. I didn't say that,
we didn't music. We didn't have a show back then.
What is he talking about? You said it somewhere. You
definitely said it somewhere. It's the Eye couple of Fox
Sports Radio. We love you, We'll see you next week,
and enjoy the weekend.
