Hello, dear friends. Welcome missus connoisseur's coiner. I'm Jordan Rich,
always happy to announce new establishments in Boston. This one
is called eighty nine Charles, and that's where you'll find it,
right on Beacon Hill. It embodies the essence of the
nineteen twenties speakeasies while specializing in modern mixology. Our manager
Dave Verwin joins me to talk more about the vibe
at eighty nine Charles.

Speaker 2 (00:23):
I think the vibe at eighty nine Charles is a
place you can kind of go and forget about the
outside world. You walk in. It's sort of casino lighting
in there. You're kind of transported into a different world
that you would not expect walking off the street.

Speaker 1 (00:38):
It's called a Gatsby inspired cocktail experience. Explain what that means.

Speaker 2 (00:43):
This sort of a retro style inside, it's very kind
of art deco. The whole place just kind of feels
like a nineteen twenties cocktail lound. The glassware is like
kind of sleek and slender. You see a little bits
of brass accentered by the kind of black painted brick,
and just like a really interesting wallpaper that we have

all around the place, and it doesn't look like anything
quite anywhere else in Boston.
