Welcome. This is Connoisseur's Corner. I'm Jordan Rich. National Bennet
Day is coming up Wednesday, September seventeenth, and there's a
great place to celebrate. Bootleg Special, the city's go to
destination for New Orleans inspired cuisine with a modern twist.
Located in the South End, Bootleg Special will be giving
out complimentary bennets as a grab and go from eleven
am to two pm on Wednesday the seventeenth, and more

during the dinner hour. Chef and co owner Chris Young
is here. First of all, what is a beignet For
those who don't know.

Speaker 2 (00:31):
So begnet derives from a French pastry patu. It is light,
fluffy and kind of look at donut.

Speaker 1 (00:39):
So what's happening at the restaurant in the South End
this particular week?

Speaker 2 (00:42):
On Beignet Day? We are opening our doors from eleven
am to two pm and giving away free beignets to
all our neighbors in the South End. We are extending
it to all of our guests for dinner, so every
guest that comes in we'll get a complimentary bennet as well.

Speaker 1 (00:57):
And Begnet's come in a lot of delicious flavors make.

Speaker 2 (01:00):
Our begnes to order and it comes out to our
guests hot and fresh. We have variations such as strawberry cream, bananas, foster,
and chocolate hazelnut. Also, of course, our traditional begnet which
we dust with confectioners.
