Hello and welcome. This is Jordan with Connos Ruis Corner.
Earlier I spoke with Chris Young, chef and co owner
of Bootleg Special restaurant, about National Benet Day, which is
this Wednesday, September seventeenth, where you can stop in for
a complimentary treat. But I thought we chat a little
bit about the restaurant in general and to get your
take on the cuisine and the vibe and why it's
so popular.

Speaker 2 (00:21):
Well, Bootleg Special, we really focus on bold flavors and comfort.
We love New Orleans and New Orleans cuisine and we
wanted to bring it into Boston, especially tie it in
with Asian flavors in our local seafeedure.

Speaker 1 (00:35):
Now, I understand that you offer small plates. A lot
of people like that tapus approach, am I right, yes, So.

Speaker 2 (00:41):
The top is that we offer really a great way
to eat and try a little bit of everything that
we have to offer it Bootleg Special.

Speaker 1 (00:48):
If I'm there for the first time as a new customer,
what do you recommend I try?

Speaker 2 (00:52):
Our number one small plate is our garlic noodles, and
practically every table orders that. Definitely try our lobster back now,
where we take a fried steam bun and poached lobster
me and miso butter.

Speaker 1 (01:05):
Hmmm, sounds very very good. What's the mood, what's the vibe?

Speaker 2 (01:08):
What's kind of unassuming on the outside, but when you
walk in it's over four thousand square feet. It has
a fresh quarter feel with.
