Speaker 1 (00:03):
Hello again. Welcome, it's Connosrous Corner. I'm Jordan. Great to
be with you.
Speaker 2 (00:06):
Let's talk a little bit about wine with our good
friend Ken Hoggins his website Ken'swineguide dot com. It's truly
amazing and people should check that out.
Speaker 1 (00:14):
Now.
Speaker 2 (00:15):
Is a wine called cabinet franc that you want to
talk about more than one example?
Speaker 1 (00:19):
Let's start with the first one.
Speaker 3 (00:21):
We've got to start out with a Zaccardi twenty twenty
three polygons from Sam Poblo. Cab Franc comes from Argentina.
Scored this gem ninety three points. The best news does
it only cost thirty five dollars or less? Nicely balanced,
smooth and savory, some mild black current and graphite flavors,
a little stewed plum oak and black pepper in there.
Dusty Tannis stick around for quite some time, benefits from
(00:43):
a little aeration. So we decant this impressive cab from
for a little bit before putting it with some beef pornion.
Speaker 1 (00:48):
How about a second choice for cabinet franc?
Speaker 3 (00:51):
Yeah, Another winner that we discovered comes from cake Bread.
Cakebread's mostly known for their chardonnay and cabernet, but we
recently discovered we love their cab Fronc twenty two vintage
seventy five dollars is terrific, scored at ninety three plus points.
It's got inviting BlackBerry and Doctor Brown's Cream soda on
the nose. Medium plus bodied with nicely balanced and fruit
(01:12):
forward flavors. Got another soda in here. Taste a little
bit like sasparilla and black cherry with some oak and
winter green. Very interesting flavors, but it all kind of
came together. We put this saying on the soda theme
with root beer, braised beef short rims.
Speaker 1 (01:26):
You have quite the palette, I must admit amazing. Thank you.
