Hello there, and happy holidays. This is Connoisseur's Corner. I'm
Jordan Rich. We're talking about wine today. We welcome in
our good friend Ken Hoggins of Kenswineguide dot com. He's
been joining us on this feature for at least a
couple of decades, and we love it when you pick
some winners, and in this case Cabernet.

Yeah, in September we dive deep into the cabs all
fall and I'm going to give you two mid tier
winners that really impressed us. So we'll start with the
twenty twenty two White haul Lane Cabernet Sauvignon from NAPA
fifty six dollars. Panel scored at ninety three points. Listeners
will find this wine to be medium plus bodied, round,
lush and fresh, some red plum stony minerality flavors in there,

a little bit of oreo cookie and blueberry as well.
It's finishes dry and it's fine, moderate, fine grained. Tannins
linger nicely and it would go well with the tasting
panel member Stuart's beef Wellington.

Indeed Orio cookie. Okay, let's have it a second choice.

Yeah, we got Sekoja Grove twenty twenty two NAPA Valley
Cabernet fifty five dollars. Panel scored this ninety three plus
points medium bodied, balanced, round, full palette coverage. Got some
BlackBerry tea and ripe black plum flavors with some black
licorice fig mixed in mild managed Tannis and this one
would go well with pan sered duck breast with a

BlackBerry sauce, or it could also be a sipper by
the fireplace this winter.
