Hi there. This is Jordan Rich with Connoisseur's Corner and welcome.
Today we're talking with Laura Maloney. She's with the Spirited
Gourmet Shop located in Belmont on Common Street, known for
wine and spirits and platters and sandwiches and gift ideas
and of course cheese. In this time of year, cheese
is on the minds of many. Laura, what are we
talking about?

So this fall all about local flavor and we have
so many award winning local cheddars in stock and perfect
for fall snacking. One of my favorites that just comes
down the fall is Detractor cheddar by Shelburn Farms in Vermont.
Super sharp and smooth, comes from a historic working dairy

farm in Shelburn, Vermont. We also are really in love
with Grafton Clockbown cheddar, which is made in a traditional
clothbound way in more of an English style. It's ancient caves.
It's crumbly, earthy and tangy, and it's perfect with a crisp,
dry hardsider. And our top selling cheese I wish was
from Vermont because That's where I'm from. But our top

selling cheese is Prairie Breeze cheddar, and this is from
the Milton Creamery in Iowa, and it's more like a sweet,
creamy cheddar with almost a pineapple note and some toasted nuts.
It's really firm, has a great savory bite, amazing with
hard sighters.
