Speaker 1 (00:03):
Hey, welcome mcconnough's serves corner. This is Jordan and joining
me today is our good friend mona dog off directly
from her kitchen where she's cooking up all kinds of
great recipes for us. I just like saying this next one.
I can say it quickly. Cheesey pepper poppers. That's a
good one. What are they? And how do we make them?

Speaker 2 (00:18):
The trick is can you say that three times fast? Okay?
What you're going to do. You're going to preheat the
oven to four hundred and line a baking sheet with
parch from paper or if you have an air fry,
you can really bake these in the air fiy too.
But this is how you're gonna make it. You're gonna
slice twelve kolapenos. If that's too spicy for you, you
can use a mini sweet pepper. You're going to cut
it in half, remove the seeds in the ribbing. And

(00:39):
if you do use the holopenna, you might want to
use gloves when working with it so you don't get
that pepper acid in your eye. And then in a
small bowl you're going to stuff them. And the stuffing
is going to be one and a half cups of
Greek plain yogurt, three tablespoons of grated cheddar cheese, two
tablespoons of scallions or chies, one clove of grated garlic.
I have a tea spoonful onion powder, a half a

(01:01):
tea spoon of cuman and chili powder, and a pinch
of salt. Mix that together and that's almost your dip.
Insert And then what you're going to do is fill
the pepper halves with the yogurt mixture, Sprinkle it with
just a little bit of bread crumbs. It could be
gluten free bread crumbs if you prefer missed with a
little olive oil. Bake it or air fry for about
fifteen to twenty minutes at about four hundred degrees until

(01:22):
the peppers are tender and the topping is gold and brown.

Speaker 1 (01:24):
That sounds awesome, And I'm going to say it again,
cheesy pepper poppers. There you go. Thank you. She's mona
dog off joining us here on Connosher's Corner. WBZ, Boston's
