Hello, Jordan Rich here with Connos Rus Corner are great
to be with you. And joining me once again is
Garrett Harker, the owner of Eastern Standard, the restaurant that
made a triumphant return to Boston on Beacon Street. There's
also Standard Italian and the Equal Measure cocktail Bar. Now
on Saturdays in December leading up to Christmas, you've got
something cool gingerbread Standard construction and guests can get involved

in the process.

Speaker 2 (00:26):
Well, it's a really unique opportunity because that is a
lost art, right I mean, right now, you can go
to Trader Joe's and get some kind of prefabricated gingerbread house.
But you know a lot of kids haven't seen the
traditional actual baked gingerbread house that we do, and which
we're able to do because we have a full bakery team.
We bake all of our breads and pastries in house.

(00:48):
So the team spends December constructing these houses, and then
each of those Saturdays there's a huge spread of all
of the candy favorites that can go towards you know,
the gingerbread house construction. So it's full of families. Again,
another long standing tradition for Eastern Standard. You know it

goes back to the old location, and it's three of
our favorite days of the year.
