Hello again, welcome your tunes. At Connoisseur's Corner. It's all
about food and everything related. Joining me Jordan is my
good friend Matt Robinson of Matt's Meals m Atts hyphen
Meals dot com. The Big Summerville Fermentation Festival is September seventh,
and you've got details.

I love pickles and fermented food, sara, kraut, keifer, kimchi,
all those things delicious and really good for your gut biome,
which is the hottest part of everyone's body these days,
as I'm sure our listeners know. So I'm really excited
to have a great festival September seventh at the Center
for the Arts at the Armory in Summerville. It's a
free event. It's going to celebrate the world of fermented

food and beverages and have everything from pickled vegetables to
soy sauce, to kombucha to fermented chocolate, which actually is
how chocolate is processed. It's usually fermented immediately after harvesting,
and even fermented coffee. So fermentation is getting into new
places and offering new benefits, and this is a great
place to introduce yourself or to find new favorites are
going to have real pickles company, Pigeoncoke Ferments, which is

an old favorite of ours, and the folks at independent
Fermentations too. Restaurants like Pagu and Las Aison will be
selling their fermented favorites. There'll be live music and also
opportunities to learn about fermentation and to practice it yourself.
Even so, if you've never made saur, kraud or kimchi,
there'll be places to learn how to do it and
plenty of fun things to take home. It's at Somerville
