Speaker 1 (00:03):
Greetings and welcome. This is Connoisseur's Corner. I'm Jordan Rich
and with me Matt Robinson of Matt's Meals mattsdash meals
dot com. You've got news about the latest new England
Hot Sauce fest. Let me get some ice water while
you do this. Go right ahead.

Speaker 2 (00:17):
I promoted it, I talked about it, I raved about it,
but it did not get to go. But apparently they
did more than okay without me, raising over twelve thousand
dollars for the Blue Ocean Society and the Sea Coast
Science Center in addition to hosting over thirty locally sourced
hot sauces. Our friends at Spicy Chart debut the Sci
Fi Pepper Challenge, featuring a never before tasted hybrid pepper

(00:38):
that was created by Ed Curry, who invented now famous
Carolina Reaper. They had food trucks and music and beer
from the host's Smutty Noose Brewery. They even had an
appearance by the Amity Police Department in celebration of the
fiftieth anniversary of Jaws. Spicy Chart Headcape Disaverio has a
book out called Two Breads Like a Sandwich, which is
a great book for kids, and they also have some

(01:01):
milder hot sauces which are kind of gateways for young
people or people who don't think they like spicy food.
But the line keeps growing all the way up to
their six spin superspicies, which are head spinning but delicious.
You can check it all out at thespicyshark dot com.
And I'm already getting ready for next year at New
England Hotsaucefest dot com. And I promise I will be

(01:21):
there and hopefully you will too.

Speaker 1 (01:23):
Okay, thank you so much, Matt. He's Matt Robinson joining
me Jordan here on Connosher's Corner, a WZ Boston's news
