Let's continue with wine suggestions for Independence Day week.
Speaker 2 (00:16):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (00:16):
I got two crowd pleasing wines that can be enjoyed
by all over the fourth of July weekend. We'll start
with a pinogree offering from Elk Cove. Their twenty twenty
three pinogree from Oregon is an absolute steal. I recently
did a tasting at Colonial Spirits and Acting and showed
this wine. Most folks said to me, I really don't
like pinogree and Pino Gresio. I coaxed him into trying this.
Speaker 2 (00:37):
They loved it.
Speaker 3 (00:38):
Sold more of this wine than any other it. It
was selling for sixteen dollars ninety two points.
Speaker 2 (00:45):
They liked it.
Speaker 3 (00:46):
It was medium bodied, round mouth watering at green tea
and cantaloup flavors, some almond and Stonymanarelli.
Speaker 2 (00:52):
So that's your typical Pino Gree or Pino Gresio.
Speaker 3 (00:55):
It was just one that everybody liked, and that's what
you want when you have a big party on the
fourth second crowd pleasers, the twenty twenty one Miriam Russian
River Cabernet for thirty eight dollars certainly over delivered for
the price point. Full bodied, smooth polish, very approachable, juicy
black plum and stone dust flavors.
Speaker 2 (01:12):
In there with a little lingenberry and tobacco.
Speaker 3 (01:14):
Very dusty tannets that build up stick around for a
long time, so I would recommend to canting this ninety
two pointer before pairing it with a Porterhouse steak right
off the grill for the holiday.
Speaker 1 (01:24):
