Speaker 1 (00:03):
This is Connasseus Corner. I'm Jordan Rich. It's always a
pleasure to welcome Ken Hoggins of Ken'swineguide dot Com to
the program. And Ken, you've got news about in person
store tastings that start to happen around this time of year.

Speaker 2 (00:15):
Yeah, around the state, a lot of people start doing
their grand tastings and stores show off their wines for
the spring in the summer. Highly recommend that you take
the time to try some wines at these events. My retailer,
Colonial Spirits is holding some three mini grand tastings starting
March twenty nine through April twelve on Saturdays. Check out
what your favorite retailer is offering. But it's a great

(00:35):
place to definitely try wines before you buy them. Other
things that people are doing are wine seminars. I know,
I just did one the other day at Colonial Miniporto Tasting.
It's another opportunity to learn and try wines. There's a
lot of winemakers come.

Speaker 3 (00:51):
Into the region. Colonial just hosted three German winemakers, So
just sign up on all these guys email lists and
find out who's coming to town because that's another good
time to meet winemakers and beat check out their offerings.
And then lastly, the Boston Winexpos happening a little later
this year. It's on April fifth and sixth at the
Boston Hilton at Park Plaza. Definitely something to check out.

(01:12):
Knowledge through tasting is just so powerful. I highly recommend
that people get out there and do it. Some of
them have small fees, but most of the ones at
the different wine shops are free, so you should definitely
check them out.

Speaker 1 (01:22):
Thank you so much, Ken. He's Ken Hoggins of Ken'swineguide
