Speaker 1 (00:03):
Hello again, Welcome. This is Connoisseur's Corner. I'm Jordan Rich.
We're talking about wine today. Perfect time of the year
to do it, especially with New Year's coming. Let's talk
sparkling wines with Ken Hoggins of Ken'swineguide dot Com. What
do you have for us? Ken? Yeah?
Speaker 2 (00:15):
Each will we do a bunch of sparkling wines and
champagnes for the holiday seasons, And I'm going to give
you two of our favor First is the Rota or
State non vintage Brute Rose thirty nine dollars. We scored
this rose sparkler ninety three plus points. It's got a
lot of streams of random tiny bubbles, mild bread dough
in strawberry bouquet with some hints of wetstone and grandminie.
(00:36):
It's medium bodied, crisp, clean and fresh, got some stone
dust and citrus flavors along with raspberry tea and sealinge.
Finishes very long and smooth. And we'd put this brute
rose with some seared divers scallops.
Speaker 1 (00:48):
All right, let's go more tiny bubbles.
Speaker 2 (00:50):
If we can Shromsburg blanc the Blanc brute, It's always
a winner. Twenty twenty two Vintage delivered again this year
and got ninety two plus points. Got some EA street
crusts and green apples on the nose, and so it's
light bodied with bright, crisp and fresh palate feel along
with some medium proth. Flavors are citrus and green apple,
(01:11):
with some stone dust and white pepper in there. They're
all very nicely sustained, and we'd pair this a very
good blanc to blanc with baked halibate.
Speaker 1 (01:19):
Well, we appreciate those pairing ideas, Ken, and as always,
folks can go to kenswineguide dot com. Don't forget to
