these are kind of three separate categories. These are three different topics. Actually,

okay, we have three mini categorieson here. The first big topic,
the one that we have titled thisepisode, is characters with unceremonious exits.
These are characters that were on atelevision show for more than a season and
we're pretty much either just written offthe show, their contracts were not picked

we have three different categories. Ithought it was like one thing that you
broke down into three subsets. Mymain prep for this episode was looking up

the graduation finale, end of thenon college years, here everyone has
their moment to shine and gets asend off. Tory is just completely absent.
Who was roughly a main character forthe eight of sixteen episodes she was

Tory interact with Kelly or Jesse becausethey never actually shot together. Why not,

talk about it, and they wouldkind of mention this character. But like
Charlie Sheen leaving Two and a HalfMen, and I guess they did this

bad. The finale is one ofthe worst finales in television history. It's

terrible. Chuck LORI thought he waslike really getting meta, and then after
all that what you just said,he looks at the camera and goes winning.
I remember that. It's really bad. It's really fucking bad. Like
that, man, Charlie Sheen madeall of those people a lot of money,

from the show, but god,what are you doing? Man? That's
so fucking stupid. And then,of course, after some off camera controversy,
Roseanne was written off The Conners.They did deal with her death on

not as fat as Roseanne bar Soit didn't really fit the character. I
guess a a better like uh likesurprise death would be in the original scene

been an asteroid hitting the earth inthe way it did for the Dinosaurs.

almost canceled. It was almost canceledafter season one, almost canceled during season
two, and that would be becausepeople did not like the character of Leslie
Nope. They thought that it wastoo much of a Michael Scott ripoff,
and they changed the character for thebetter without like really going through these like
trials and tribulations of advancing the characteron screen to get them where they need

to be. They just kind ofchanged her. I know exactly what you
mean. I think we really underratethe fact that Parks and really started to
gain notoriety in more viewers when TheOffice started getting bad. I really don't
think we can understate how much thataffected, because people were sort of looking
for that Office sized hole in theirlife and Parks and Rec Was the perfect

show to fill it. But whenParks and Rec started, I think it
was season four of the Office maybe, so when that went down, it
really coincided with Parks and Rec goingup. And believe me, I love
Parks and Rec. I just thinksome of the criticisms of Leslie Leslie Nope
in those early seasons was just thefact that The Office was still so amazing

that no one was really paying attentionto that show. So the topic here
is characters who want who underwent bigchanges and it really had nothing to do
with their development on the show.It was just that, Hey, we
don't like what we have here,let's change this, Leslie. Nope,

way too long. They should havebeen together in the middle of the show.

in the pilot or a one timeappearance where a character was portrayed by someone
else and then they came to theirright senses and they swapped him out immediately,

And that would be Carol on Friends. They swapped it out after one
episode. Morty and Frank on Seinfeld, both George and Jerry's father fathers were
portrayed by different actors in their firstappearances. Thank god they swapped them out,
because both of their fathers were comedicstalwarts on that show, no doubt.
T Bone on Arrested Development was justplayed by a random guy in the

background in the pilot, and thenit was swapped out for Patris O'Neil.
Another good change there. And thenon news Radio and I forget this is
that Joe Rogan's character, I don'tknow what the guy's name is was played
by someone else at the beginning.I remember watching news radio a little bit

the one that we have titled thisepisode, is characters with unceremonious exits.
These are characters that were on atelevision show for more than a season and

we have three different categories. Ithought it was like one thing that you
broke down into three subsets. Mymain prep for this episode was looking up

a show without even really deserving thatswitch. It's just the creators of the
show being like, I don't likethis character, I'm just gonna change it.
And because Leslie Nope was so unlikablein season one and they kind of
worked her way through season two untilshe really she was a very likable character

by season four. But that wasthe show's problem. Well, I also
think obviously she's your lead character,and the office figured this out with Holly
eventually. You need someone to matchyour freak. You know, you couldn't
have this bland milk toast Brandana Witzdating Leslie Nope. They figured it out

with Ben Wyatt that work, justas Michael Scott found his his Holly like
as Chris Drager too. Yeah,you just which is again same matching there
each other's freaks there. You justneeded better matches than what they had on
the show. Obviously got Andy andApril as well, but it just they
it ended up being in a betterdirection, pulling Leslie out of a love

story and then slowly building the benWyatt one more like Brandana quits oh smashed
it. So, yes, theydid say goodbye to him on the show.
He said that he was going tothe private sector, but it was
never like I'm definitely gone. Yeah, so it definitely felt like he was
gonna come back. You know whonever came back and was mentioned once not
mentioned, but he was in aflashback in season three. We'll get to

this in a second. Is Chuckfrom Happy Days. This is where the
trope began and Chuck Richie's brother,Howard son, Maryam's son, Jone's brother.
That's the Cunningham family. Chuck wasplayed by Gavin Oh Hurray, Oh

want to fucking host the show Mac. He only appeared in ten episodes,
which is kind of crazy. Heleft after season one, and Chuck was
written out of the script by goingoff to college. That's an easy way

anecdote is the final season was supposedto be eight episodes. After they finished
shooting the eight episodes, the studiothe network ordered eight more episodes, but
Unfortunately, Tiffany amber Thiessen and ElizabethBerkley had already moved on to Like prior

Tory, who was that kind ofa rougher and tougher We're almost I guess
a combination of the kind of likeshow from the Facts of Life. Yeah,
And so they shot eight more episodes, and then when that season went
to air, instead of airing itthe way it was shot, they spliced
in the Tory episodes every other Soultimately, at the end of the season,

the graduation finale, end of thenon college years, here everyone has
their moment to shine and gets asend off. Tory is just completely absent.
Who was roughly a main character forthe eight of sixteen episodes she was
in. And it's also really funnyto think about that. You know,

this high school Baside High has theseuber popular girls, but you never see
Tory interact with Kelly or Jesse becausethey never actually shot together. Why not,
and I'm stupid on completely off onthis. Why not air the first
eight episodes with the original cast andthen just have the next eight episodes just
be like Zach is off doing somethingin the summer and he meets new friends.

Yeah, they really fucked that up. Or you could very easily just
shoot a thirty second scene with Torygettinger diploma and a lot of stuff would
have come away. Yeah, thesenext two don't really count, but I
just like to bring them up.And that is two main characters pretty much
like they are the show. Andyes, there was a ton of like

talk about it, and they wouldkind of mention this character. But like
Charlie Sheen leaving Two and a HalfMen, and I guess they did this
whole storyline at the end that Alanthought he was still alive and they were
looking for him, and then ChuckLorie dropped a piano on his head or
something. Listen, Two and ahalf Men was decent. Then it got
bad. The finale is one ofthe worst finales in television history. It's

terrible. Chuck LORI thought he waslike really getting meta, and then after
all that what you just said,he looks at the camera and goes winning.
I remember that. It's really bad. It's really fucking bad. Like
that, man, Charlie Sheen madeall of those people a lot of money,

from the show, but god,what are you doing? Man? That's
so fucking stupid. And then,of course, after some off camera controversy,
Roseanne was written off The Conners.They did deal with her death on

not as fat as Roseanne bar Soit didn't really fit the character. I
guess a a better like uh likesurprise death would be in the original scene

Dan's been dead this whole time.I think a better finale would have

That was a good finale, andthat was Earl's fault. Shall we move

that when you think of Parks andrec and the you know, it was

almost canceled. It was almost canceledafter season one, almost canceled during season
two, and that would be becausepeople did not like the character of Leslie
Nope. They thought that it wastoo much of a Michael Scott ripoff,
and they changed the character for thebetter without like really going through these like
trials and tribulations of advancing the characteron screen to get them where they need

to be. They just kind ofchanged her. I know exactly what you
mean. I think we really underratethe fact that Parks and really started to
gain notoriety in more viewers when TheOffice started getting bad. I really don't
think we can understate how much thataffected, because people were sort of looking
for that Office sized hole in theirlife and Parks and Rec Was the perfect

show to fill it. But whenParks and Rec started, I think it
was season four of the Office maybe, so when that went down, it
really coincided with Parks and Rec goingup. And believe me, I love
Parks and Rec. I just thinksome of the criticisms of Leslie Leslie Nope
in those early seasons was just thefact that The Office was still so amazing

that no one was really paying attentionto that show. So the topic here
is characters who want who underwent bigchanges and it really had nothing to do
with their development on the show.It was just that, Hey, we
don't like what we have here,let's change this, Leslie. Nope,
I have brought up and I thinkthis really was for the better. It
made the show way more sustainable.And you, like the first season or

so, I didn't believe any ofher friendships, any of her relationships.
By the end you understood why everyoneloved her them leaning into her platonic relationships
is what really became the strength ofthe show. And so obviously that was

talking about CC's vagina. Might bethe best sitcom stuff in a while.
Okay, yeah, that was mymain thing. I just didn't laugh enough
during that show. When do Jessand Nick get together? What season is
that? End of six? Sothe six six and then there's a big

jump forward. There's a seven yearjump forward for season seven. That took
way too long. They should havebeen together in the middle of the show.
Maybe they were maybe they dated severaltimes. I don't know. I
forget also Joey Tribiani, who seemedpretty capable at the beginning of Friends,

question is, how is he afunctioning adult? Well, he's an actor,

where the actors were swapped out midshow. Pay no attention, it's not
the droids you're looking for. Andso We have a couple that it was
in the pilot or a one timeappearance where a character was portrayed by someone
else and then they came to theirright senses and they swapped him out immediately,

And that would be Carol on Friends. They swapped it out after one
episode. Morty and Frank on Seinfeld, both George and Jerry's father fathers were
portrayed by different actors in their firstappearances. Thank god they swapped them out,
because both of their fathers were comedicstalwarts on that show, no doubt.
T Bone on Arrested Development was justplayed by a random guy in the

background in the pilot, and thenit was swapped out for Patris O'Neil.
Another good change there. And thenon news Radio and I forget this is
that Joe Rogan's character, I don'tknow what the guy's name is was played
by someone else at the beginning.I remember watching news radio a little bit
as a kid, but I havenever gone back and rewatched, so I
couldn't speak on that matter. Idon't want to get too deep into it.

But I watched a YouTube video theother day and it was just like,
why Andy Dick is the biggest pieceof shit of all time. And
then I watched it and I said, if this is all true, that
might be true. Dick does notseem like a nice person, but he
