Speaker 1 (00:00):
Welcome to the trailer park. We Sadie sink our teeth
into some Marvel Casting news The Rocks Big Shot. If
this bio pic isn't porn, I don't want to watch
it and hold the mustard. Let's catch up on some
television shows. All of that and so much more. But
first news dep Oh, I have news. I have terrible news.
(00:24):
I have two bad pieces of news. Number one, I
know that everyone out there was expecting our march Macnus
mascot in Melee this Friday. But Mac got some overtime,
you got some money. I'm not going to tell him
not to take that money. So in his place, I
have a news dump and I have Rich Keith. I
went Consolation Prize. But I'm happy to be here. Good
(00:46):
thanks for having me. Things could be worse, yes, always,
And here is the bad news for a second straight year.
And it looks like this might be permanent. The MTV
Movie and Television Awards might be no more. This is
news and I'll tell you what. I'm what five years
older than you or so. So these were must watch
for the longest time. There was a eight year stretch
(01:10):
probably where both were can't miss the awards seem to
matter the acceptance speeches, whether it was like Jim Carrey,
Adam Sandler, Will Smith before he's smacking people, it was
must see. All the coolest people, Tom Green, whatever it
might be, would show up at these events. The awards
were fun. It was all movies that I've seen or
music videos that I had seen. I mean, listen, I
(01:31):
don't know. I haven't watched the show in forever. So
if it went away, you're the problem. Yeah I am.
I am the forty one soon to be forty one
year old guy is the absolute problem with this. But no,
this was as cool as it got for a while.
I didn't do any research, but I'm pretty sure that
the VMAs are still happening the Video Music Awards or
have those already gone by the Dodo Bird too. Couldn't
(01:52):
tell you. I couldn't tell you it was great. Well,
they don't even play videos. It's one of those things.
I know, people still make them and you can see
them on YouTube, but it's not like you're watching him
on MTV like you used to, so it's a different thing.
I would say that my two biggest memories from the
Movie Awards Television Awards would be Best Kiss every year.
Oh yeah, hot, oh yeah, because not only would they
(02:13):
show the kiss from the movie, usually the actors would
then kiss on stage. That's the point. And then actually
two of the hosts that I remember, because they used
to always do an opening montage where they would edit
the host into movies where it was Jack Black, they
put him in spider Man, so as opposed to you know,
flipping his web, it was him, you know, playing with
(02:34):
himself and making a mess that way. Great classic. And
then Jimmy Fallon put himself into Batman begins, and then
you find out later on that Lonely Island wrote that
bit and that's what got them on SNL. How do
you like that? I like that very much. What was
the was the Tom Cruise Tom Cruise bit an MTV
(02:55):
award show. Do you remember this one? Yes, he played
his stunt double, Tom Cruise, and he spelled Cruise differently,
even though the like joke is Tom Cruise really does
all of his own stunts anyway, but he was a
stunt guy and like a mission impossible too, uh really
really funny. I remember a lot of Jim Carrey acceptance speeches.
One time he went as like a hippie and he
(03:18):
was like, he was like fully in character and he
was yelling at MTV and he's like, would it chill
you to play a little fog hat? And everyone's like,
what is going on? It is great? Two things off
of that. Number one, I think the Tom Cruise Tom
Cruise thing is what led to him being in Tropic
Thunder makes sense. And then also, was fart Man a
(03:38):
Movie Television Awards or was that at the VMA's uh
good point? That was definitely a MTV thing when he
came shooting into the and then he exploded the podium
with a fart awesome, So rip most likely news dope. Oh,
We've got some trailers and the one that I think
(03:59):
might be better than sit just the trailer alone, not
even the movie. I think this movie is gonna make
the most money ever, and that is the Leelo and
Stitch live action remake. And maybe it's just because I'm
not attached to the animated movie, so I'm not going
to go into this thing pooh poohing what I see.
But from the trailer, this thing looks like it has
heart and it looks like Stitch is completely real and
(04:23):
just put into this world. You know, I wasn't sure
about this because this is not an animated thing that
I watched. I kind of missed this and never really
went back to it. I'm obviously aware of it. But
when they were showing like the Super Bowl teasers with
I guess Stitch kind of like little bastard running around
on the field. He's messing up the game. He's in
the goalpoys scoring touchdowns. I was like, I kind of
(04:43):
like this guy. And then you see the trailer and
I'm like, damn, this is this is gonna be cinema
at its finest. I've talked to some people that are
like three to five years younger than me, and they
all say that this is their favorite movie growing up.
Oh so this will probably do Gangbusters. Then I believe
Mac got it. In the movie Draft, I completely fucked
up because I had seven hot dogs left. I paid
(05:04):
five for the Naked Gun and then I paid I
don't know four for Ballerina. That amount of hot dogs
could have got me Lee, Lo and Stitch. That could
win the Draft right there. Lilo and Stitch lost me
the Draft. News Dump also got a trailer for the
Brad pitt led f One movie. Another trailer. This one
(05:25):
looks like it digs more into the character that Brad
Pitt is playing, a little more Harvey er Bardem. But
I'm gonna say this again. With this movie, it's almost
like the story and the characters don't matter much Like
in Top Gun Maverick, none of the story actually mattered. Yeah,
he took the words out of my mouth. This is
gonna be Top Gun or Top Gun Maverick four F
(05:47):
one because I don't really care about fighter pilots and
I really don't care about Formula one racing, and yet
the movies are probably gonna be pretty entertaining. Although I
feel like there's been a series of car movies that
all kind of run together, like Ford v. Ferrari and
like stuff like that from like Cars two, Cars three, three,
Cars four, Herbie, Herbie fully Loaded. All these movies run together,
(06:11):
and I'm like, I think I've seen them all, and
I don't even know if I enjoy any of them. So,
like F one, I wouldn't be shocked if it kills
it at the box office, but I don't really think
it's gonna be for me. No, Once again, Top Gun
Maverick is a spectacle to be seen at the theaters,
and if you missed at the theaters, it's still a
pretty fun watch at home. But nothing from that movie,
(06:32):
story wise blew you away or was gonna blow you away.
It was just how it looks. It like, this looks.
And I'm not gonna knock the stuff that we enjoy too,
you know, Marvel comic book stuff. But this looks as
real as it gets. Yeah it does. And one of
the things with Top Gun and Top Gun Maverick that
helps is like the music they play in it. So
(06:52):
if f one picks a bunch of cool tracks, you're
gonna walk away thinking it's even better than it is
tracks on tracks, because race cars go on. I like
what you just did there. I also think that I
saw that one of the things that they're going to
focus on is shooting from inside of it's not a
cockpit for a car, so they have the most expensive
cameras possible inside of the driving consoles. Yeah, that would
(07:14):
be slick. I mean, I didn't see who the budget
was for this, but it's over three hundred million. It's
like Electric State. It's like Electric State, which I'm holding
you back from watching right and now I'm very sorry
I'm like John got one eye on it. I'm still
playing it in here for the second time. That's what
that sound is. Yeah, news dope. I'm also going to
trailer today for a movie that you drafted, Freakier Friday.
(07:36):
Lindsay Lohan and Jamie Lee Curtis are back. And how
do you get freakier than the Freaky original? More body swapping?
That's what you need. People like a body swap. What's
wrong with the body swap? Not much? Plus Lindsay Lohan.
I think we talked about on the draft episode. Maybe
a lohannaissance happening right now. She looks like a million
and ten bucks. She's in a bunch of move She's
a working actress again. Jamie Lee Curtis is stopped. Is
(08:01):
as high, if not higher, now than it was in
the eighties. So this is one that I drafted just
with the thought. People love nostalgia and they love right now.
These two are both very popular, so I think people
are gonna go see this thing. Also, the original one
a surprising box office smash. It was only made for
twenty million dollars and it almost made two hundred million worldwide. Jesus,
(08:22):
people like body seas and that's not even counting DVD sails.
That's right. Remember when DVDs were a thing. Yeah, that's
when the MTV Movie Awards were a thing, and then
out the word out. It's on it right now though,
is on August eighth, when this movie comes out. We're
gonna solve the mystery of I don't know who these
other characters are in this trailer and who these other
bodies that are being swapped. I know Jamie Lee Curtis,
(08:44):
I know Lindsay Lohan. I don't know who this grandmother is.
I don't know who this little British girl is. I
don't know what's happening. Are we gonna go to I
don't say we're gonna go to the movie, but are
people who go to the movie gonna realize, like Jami
Lee Curtis is in this for five minutes, and Lindsay
Lohan's in this for five minutes, it's all these other
people swamp. Do you think that Jamie Lee Curtis is
gonna pull a Halloween where she just shows up for
five minutes and then either dies off screen. I think
(09:06):
it's on the table. Yeah, they just like talk about
her a lot it was in my contract that Michael
had to chop my head off. Yeah, you're like, yeah,
I'm dead. I'm dead. I can't come back. News Dope
also got a very sleek looking trailer for Black Mirror
Season seven. This is a six episode season coming to
Netflix on April tenth. A hodgepodge of superstar actors that
(09:31):
will be showing up in there, and one of the episodes,
for the first time ever, will be a follow up
to another Black Mirror episode. You know, everybody tells me
I should like Black Mirror, and I've seen a lot
of them. I don't think I could say I've seen
them all, but i've seen most of them. I think
I dug through it once. They put them all on
Netflix and different places had their rankings of like the
(09:55):
best episodes, so I would go and seek them out,
and some of them I'm like, oh, this is really cool.
Then others are like, what a waste of an hour
that was. So I think I'm gonna do the same thing.
These six episodes are gonna come out. I'll wait see
if there's like a lot of talk about like one
or two of them, and maybe watch them. I don't
think I'm going to watch the whole season. We're the
perfect two to be talking about this show. I've only
seen a handful to ten episodes. I've liked what I've seen.
(10:17):
I've never been gripped to be like, oh, I need
to watch another one because there is no continuation through
the episodes Twilight Zone esque. Of course. I remember seeing
two episodes when staying at my wife's aunt's house, and
it was two of the episodes that might have had
the most nudity or at least the most sex going on. Nice.
So those are always fun to watch with older people.
(10:39):
It's great. This is a good episode. Is a real
think piece. This episode. Can you think back to your
teenage years of watching something either with friends or with
the lady and the parents walk in and it's the
most awkward scene possible. Yeah, there's definitely been a few.
Although I remember being a kid and I got White
Men Can't Jump for an Easter present and I was
(10:59):
like nine or ten. The bunny was all over it. Yeah,
we popped it in as a family, and I remember
my mom having like fat like so they're like talking
shit on the court and they're like, yeah, this isn't great,
but whatever, like they don't. They didn't really care about that.
And then as soon as Rosie Perez starts banging Woody Harrelson,
she's like, fast forward, fast forward, fast forward. That reminds
me of my uh my, my father was just talking
up Fast Times at Ridgemont High constantly, and I'm like
(11:22):
seven or eight years old. He pops it in there,
and as soon as Phoebe Kate starts blowing the carriage,
he's like, oh no, no, no, no, no no. He's
like my favorite movie. I forgot all the parts, every
part of this movie. This is a good movie. You
can watch this movie. You know. That's There was definitely
a few that would pop up that, like, especially back then,
like so many movies, like a lot of comedies would
just have Also in the eighties, it was it was
(11:43):
a requirement that you had to show boobs. Horror movies
and comedies, which are like the best, like all of
them just were like nudity. Well, I was gonna say,
it didn't matter what the genre was, it didn't matter
what the rating was. You're gonna show boobs. Let's see
some boobs. That's why the movies were great. That's like
on HBO. Now there's gonna be a penis. Oh yeah,
you're there's gonna be hot. It doesn't matter what the
show is. Hell yeah news depe Elizabeth Olson said that
(12:08):
she would love to continue playing Scarlet Witch in the MCU.
This is via Collider. I do feel very lucky that
I've been able to play a character for over ten
years of my life, and I'd love to keep doing more.
I feel like a lot of the MCU characters have
a similar outlook where it doesn't mean that's the only
movie you can make, but you know you're gonna make
(12:30):
a ton of money. There's a good chance the movie
itself is gonna make a ton of money. You stay working,
you stay very relevant, and then you can jump back
like Sebastian Stan has played Winter Soldier a million times now,
and he got nominated for like multiple awards this season
because he was in two movies where he was like
he was Donald Trump and one of them and then
the other movie he got nominated for like a Golden
(12:50):
Globe for So you can do serious movies. You can
just ping pong back and forth. I don't know why
you wouldn't, and I think they're probably looking at Robert
Downey Junior too and being like he's coming back, He's
actually play a different character for Christ's sake, So like,
why would you say no to these movies? I don't
get it. I do feel like Scarlet Witch is a
lot like Thor though, where it was on such a
high of a character. We all love Scarlet Witch after
(13:11):
her television show, and then I didn't care for what
they did with her in Multiverse of Madness. I like Thor,
Love and Thunder more than most people, but I also
understand like you were on that high of endgame and
then you brought him back for that not the best
way to bring back this legacy character type of way. Oh,
it's true because it's not an automatic hit. So like
if you sign up for another MCU thing, it could
(13:32):
be a bit of a mixed bag. But like depending
on how they did it, if she had like a
cameo and Agatha for example, like it probably could have worked.
And like there's been some good movies along the way,
so you know, Russo Brothers are coming back for some
of these movies, like with Doomsday and with everything else.
Like I bet there's something that she could do. I mean,
maybe she's seeing herself up for some X Men. That'd
be great. That would be great. Actually, speaking of that,
(13:54):
let's jump ahead to this news dump. Sadie Sink has
been in the upcoming Spider Man for movie. This is
via Deadline. There is no word yet on who she
is playing, but the theories are possibly Jean Gray or
an alternate Mary Jane. Both would be great. Polaris, I think,
(14:16):
is another character who I want to say it is
a Marvel character with red hair. Yeah, Polaris, however, be Plaaris. Now.
The other two make a lot more sense because it
would be really significant characters. And she's the best actress
actor from Stranger Things. I like a lot of them.
I like, I love that show, and I think a
lot of them are pretty good. But like, as far
as like acting chops are concerned, I think she's clearly
(14:38):
the best one. And so if you want to really
like lean heavy on her having like some dramatic roles
in the in this next wave of Marvel movies, she'd
be excellent at either one. Yeah, two things. I haven't
seen Lucas anywhere else, but he's I think he's very
good on Stranger Things. The kid who plays Lucas Lucas
is excellent. Yeah, yeah, Sadie is in I think Sadie
sink in The Last Sea. She's in that Fear Street too.
(15:00):
She was excellent Fear Street. She was in that movie
The Whale with Brendan Fraser and she was like I
didn't see that, but people said that she was excellent.
I just thought the last season she had to do
the most shit, like she was crazy good and like
because like her whole her whole character was like she's
getting messed with more than any of the other characters were.
She wasn't something else too. But anyway, I think I
(15:22):
don't really have a preference. I think gen Gray would
be cool, like if you if you cast her as
Jean Gray, but like Mary Jane would be fine too
if you really want to go into that world. So
I want Geen Gray because they've also mentioned how they
want to sprinkle in the X Men characters throughout these movies,
not just introduce all the mutants at once. And then
also I think they're trying to get away from alternate
timeline characters and so just to not have things get
(15:47):
messier like they've already done with having Iron Man play
Doctor Doom. I think that's the cleaner way of doing it.
And I think that's why the that's whay the best
way to introduce the X Men. And then you set
that's the age of g Gray and you shape all
the other characters around that age. Yeah, no, that makes sense. Yeah,
the multiverse thing was sort of a necessity, but it's
(16:09):
also you got to get rid of it, Like it
was great for a while, but it's also kind of
destroying everything news demp let's jump back to This is
from the Hollywood Reporter. Marvel uses baseball cards of their
MCU actors for Avengers films. They include stats with how
(16:29):
expensive the actors are on the back and how many
movies are left on their contracts. It's the only way
to keep track of the characters and how they are
working with them. Yeah, so that's gotta be a Kevin
Faigy thing. Then I feel like it impacts him more
than anybody else. And then he could sort of when
they start creating these movies and starting to write these movies,
he could be like, you can use this character, you
(16:50):
can't use this character, and whatnot. I'm sure the salaries
are through the freaking roof with all these guys, but
as far as how many times you can use them. Yeah,
that is fairly interesting. I mean, if they want to
make some money back, they could sell these cards. I'd
buy those cards. I love the Marvel cards with the
real strength huility. I got told me, yeah, all good.
I got a Chris Hemsworth. He's got three movies left. Yo.
(17:14):
Whoa well Sebastian, He's had twenty movies left on his contract.
With this contract, what they do? Lifetime deal, lifetime deal
for Sebashians Stan. That's a smart, smart sign by him.
News Dip the Rock has confirmed that he will star
in the next Martin Scorsese movie. It'll be about a
Hawaiian mob boss. He is grateful for what is the
(17:37):
most creatively inspiring time of his career, working closely with
his friend and of course the Maestro, Marty Scorsese. Yeah,
the Rock Man. What a mess he's He has made
a lot of bad choices. He was so all in
on Black Adam, and then that movie was not good
and they killed off the character, well essentially killed off
(17:57):
the whole universe. That helped stop the EU and the
He's just been in a bunch of bad stuff. I
think John Cena is the better wrestler actor than him.
I know The Rock is still banking a ton of money.
I think did he make the most money in twenty
two four? I think like million, So he's doing fine. Like,
if the goal is to make money, the Rock is
killing it. But if the if the goal is to
(18:18):
make good movies, he has really struggled at that. The
goal is to make money, do a podcast, that's right,
we're killing it. Got to find a way to make
money off this. It's too good. Also, I think within
the next couple of years, we're gonna know, like the
The Rock is putting a lot into this. He's doing
that movie with the Safty brother the Crusher movie, and
then he's doing another one here with Scorsese. Scor says
(18:41):
he's taking a real shot here too, unless he's seen
the dailies from that other movie, being like, I think
the Rock can do this. Yeah, it is weird. Although
there was a couple of times early in his career,
was it uh not Get Short? What was the Tooth Fairy?
The Tooth Fairy where you're like, this guy's got range. No,
there was another movie that he did. It was like
the Get Short? What the hell was it? It was like, oh,
(19:04):
be cool, be cool. This horrible movie. Be Cool was terrible,
but it was a lot of good, big name actors
in it, and he was probably the best part, Like
he kept up with everybody. He had like a comedic role,
but he was like really really good in it, so
you could sort of see it there. And then since
then he's just done like Fast and The Furiouses and
Jumanji's and like Jungle Cruise and Black Adam. But maybe
(19:25):
he's got a chance, Like if you put him in
a good movie, can he actually kind of blend in.
I'm not ruling it out. I always confuse his Disney
sports movies that he had all bunched up at the
beginning with the Vin Diesel once too. I'm not sure
who was in the Passifire. One of them was, yeah,
one of them for sure was Yeah. He had a
good start the Rock Day, like the Rundown was pretty good,
(19:45):
Walking Tall was pretty good, and then it just kind
of went off the deep end. There. There's dope. A
Tiger Woods bio pick is in development at Amazon. Ronaldo
Marcus Green, he did King Richard is directing. Barack Obama
is in talks to produce so if he is, I'm
sure the porn angle is out. Damn, who's playing Tiger Woods?
(20:11):
Nothing here? This is via Deadline. Okay, that actually would
be funny though if it turns into a porn because
Barack Obama is producing. See, we used to make this
like a full porno, like a little bit of golf obviously,
but like just a porno. He walks in first that
he's like, uh, where is the penetration? Not nearly enough
full penetration? I think at Jennifer Anderson in it. The
(20:32):
hell was going on there? You can play the Danny's waitress.
She could, uh Perkins, Oh the Perkins sorry Sory, yeah
please Perkins. Yeah. I don't know. I mean I watched
the documentary that he was not even a part of,
and like that was alright, And then I don't know
if they do it right, Like the story is pretty good,
I guess, so I don't know, But if they leave
(20:52):
out a lot of stuff and you're like, all right,
I don't really care about him winning a lot of
amateurs and then going on to win the Masters at
a young age. Is there almost too much stuff in
the all of his life that like it's just too
lopsided of a story. Yeah, you would have to cut
out chunks, right, it would be like his dad just
like forced him to play golf, him being like this phenom,
him being on top of the world, him bottoming out,
(21:15):
and then him like kind of coming back and then
that would be it. But like coming back in the
fact of like he has some issues. He gets into
car accidents. He just tore his achilles. You don't know
what's going on with this dude, but he like, yeah,
there's a lot of that kind of weird stuff, but
he's still very like accepted. Like people at first were like, Oh,
that's crazy, what was going on with his wife? This
(21:36):
is a crazy Oh he's a sex addict. And then
it's like it's Tiger Woods, Like most people are rooting
for him. Most people want him to like play well,
because golf's never been able to replace him or come
anywhere close to well. We all stared at the mirror too,
and we all said, who among us, it's right, He's news.
Ted Lasso is returning for a season four on Apple TV.
(21:59):
Jason said Ak shared this news on the New Heights podcast.
Ted will be coaching a women's team in the new
season so it's kinda be woke. It's gonna be real good.
Is he gonna be allowed in the locker room? Things
like that, you can't hook up with the players, I
would imagine. Yeah, this show I thought was fine. I
thought it was I didn't watch it when it first
came out, which is part of the problem, I guess,
(22:19):
because it came out around the pandemic. So then people
were like, oh, this is so lighthearted and this is
really we need this right now. So I me and
my wife watched it after the fact and we were
both like, this is fine. We both like Sadaikis and
we're like, but people sold it like it was the
greatest show ever, and I'm like, I don't really watch.
So I've seen all three seasons and I don't know.
Maybe maybe I'll watch this, but I'm not gonna, like,
(22:39):
you know, run to the TV to see it. I
watched season one during the pandemic, and then after that
it just felt like a pandemic show. Yeah yeah. But
then also season two, I didn't the tone of the
show changed, and then season three I just could not
pull me back in. Yeah. I didn't think it was great.
I really didn't. I didn't like Love season three. But
I'm a bit of a complet and so once I
(23:01):
start something, I have to finish it. There's a report
out there that Regina Hall and Anna Faris will reportedly
be returning for Scary Movie six. Hell yeah, They're both
hilarious in that Scary Movie. One and two are excellent.
There are jokes in like three and four that are
(23:21):
like whatever, and like, you know, obviously they went to
the Waynes Brothers weren't there. They went in a different direction.
Half of the Waynes Brothers weren't there. The writing partners
were still there. Okay, so but like it definitely took
a big step backwards. But they were, like, you know,
as somebody that watches all those horror movies, there were
some decent gags about them. But one is really good
and two is like one of the more underrated like
(23:43):
comedy sequels or just comedies out there, Like it's really funny.
So the fact that they're bringing them back, like, I'll
see this. I know I talk about this channel constantly,
but I popped on my television the other night and
the National Lampoon channel always comes on first when I
turn on my TV. And what is on there. But
Carmen Electra at the start of Scary Movie one, and
(24:04):
I said, all my plans put them aside. I'm sitting
here the next two hours, your feet up. I'm gonna
enjoy myself some scary movie. Now, do all the jokes hit? No,
but are there. Let's say the movie's hour forty five.
There's roughly a thousand jokes in the movie. You're gonna
find one that's gonna make you laugh. It's quantity over quality,
which is fine for a movie like that, is actually
(24:26):
what it should be. And then you just reference it.
They just reference a ton of nineties horror movies, which
is great. And then a lot of very likable characters
in there. That's great, good comedy. Regina Hall is amazing
in that one. I think Anna Faris gets better by
the second one. Yeah, agreed, And Ferris is like, maybe
more comfortable with that character. Regina Hall is like funny, funny, yes,
(24:46):
both of them. Yeah, it's dope. And we put this
in here because Davey's obsessed with it. We got our
first look at Peter Dinklic as the toxic Avenger in
the reboot. I saw it and I don't know. Yeah,
I'm good. He's like all fired up about it, I
think because he drafted it for a dollar, right, right,
(25:07):
he did? But like Toxic Avenger, like great, Like is
this a straight to two B movie? Like? What even
is this? When you search it on IMDb, it says
twenty twenty three. You saw it two years ago. You
just forgot about it, but it was great. You're gonna
I don't want any of this. I'll probably skip over this.
One thing is dope. All right, Let's jump to three
(25:27):
television shows currently on right now and streaming will rip
through these real quick. Daredevil Born Again is three episodes in.
We really haven't a chance to talk about it yet,
but I think that tonally they have matched exactly like
the I think the reshoots, whatever they did in the
reshoots perfect. This isn't maybe as good as season one
(25:51):
of Daredevil, but it's as close as I want it
to be. Yeah. I was super excited and also nervous
about this show because I loved all three seeds of
Daredevil so much, and you heard all the different news
about it, like who was in, who was out that,
who was back in, and everything else. But three episodes in,
I'm really, really enjoying it, and they are doing a
weird thing where it's like it is its own season,
(26:14):
but it also kind of is season four, and they're
laying very heavily on Matt Murdoch the lawyer and Kingpin
the mayor, and like, you know, we're gonna get like
a collision course with like or Wilson Fisk, i should say,
and like, but we're gonna get Daredevil Kingpin, and we're
just kind of like setting that up. They're both trying
to live like their own lives a certain way. But
(26:37):
now I'm enjoined the hell out of it. There's been
a couple of scenes that were definitely like the Netflix series,
so I'm excited. I've also loved how pretty much anytime
that they've transitioned from Matt or Daredevil over to Kingpin Fisk,
the screen pretty much flips over just to show that
these two are always on the opposite side of the card. Yeah, no,
it's cool. It definitely looks good. You know, fears of
(26:59):
it being like any plus or whatever that's out the window.
And this is not a spoiler, but in the in
the courtroom, there's nothing better than when Matt Murdoch gives
that smirk of like, did I just do that? Like
tremendous lawyer? Yes, yeah, you really get just gets under
people's skin. He's great. Also, how many of the people
on the stand want to be like, I don't think
(27:20):
you're blind? Oh, I think most of them. And you're like,
what do you say? You don't want to say anything.
It's an arrested development, Julia Louis Dreyfus thing one hundred percent. Yeah,
it works to his advantage. Great lawyer. Also on television
right now, we are getting the season finale next Thursday, Severance.
The final episode will be seventy six minutes long, and
(27:42):
I I don't even care if they wrap up any
of the stories from this season. I know that we're
gonna get I think four ish seasons of this show.
But they have set up for what could be an
amazing season finale. But if they do kick some stuff
down the road, I understand, yeah they can. I mean
season one ended on a massive cliffhanger, so season two finale,
(28:05):
you know, I wouldn't be surprised if there's a cliffhanger.
Maybe you clean up some of the stories, you create
new That's sort of the thing with this show, right
every time you answer a question, you fucking pop up
five to six more. But I love it. The last
episode or this week's episode, I should say, it was
only like forty five minutes, so really, you're not even
like adding a ton of more time to the series,
even if you'll lop on another fifteen for the finale.
(28:27):
But yeah, this show's fantastic. It's the best show on TV.
After that episode comes out, we're gonna steal Billy from
you guys, and we're gonna have him on because I've
just been I've been sending him some theories, and every
theory that I send him sends him into like a
tail spin of needing to rewatch the episode and look
at how people walk. Oh it's wild. Yeah, every little
(28:49):
every scene there's some detail and you feel like there's
a hidden message, whether there is or there isn't. Like
we're looking forward constantly. I know Billy was tweeting one
days like you need to look at the way the
elevators are going. I'm like, yeah, now I get this
way normally, but that's fine. And then finally, White Lotus,
we are at the halfway point of this season. I
think this season is an extra episode longer than the
(29:11):
last couple of years, which I think makes up for
the fact that it has been wildly boring slow. Yeah,
it's real slow. I bailed on one and two. Oh
my wife loved too, and I think she was like
she finished season one, but like, I think she really
liked season two. I was like, I don't know, I
just can't do it in this season. I think if
(29:33):
it wasn't for the cast, I would bail. But I
love Walton Goggins, I love Carrie Coon, I love Michelle Monaghan.
So I'm like, I'm in, Like I'm gonna I've watched
every episode thus far. It is definitely a slow burn,
but I'm in it. I'm in it to the rest
of the way. If this wasn't a show with Mauve,
I don't think i'd keep going there. I did check
out two episodes of that Kate Hudson, I'm the owner
(29:55):
of a basketball team on Netflix. Yeah. Anything there. It's
a real hard our comedy, I'll tell you that much.
They brought back Brenda Song. Brenda Song is the Brenda
songnaissance right now. Good good for her, her McAuley Culkin,
the whole Culkin family, Hulkin's are killing it right now. Good,
then you bought stock in the Culks last year. I
(30:16):
sold my my Culkin stock ninety two, made a killing,
bought it back twenty twenty two. Now look at me.
As soon as they divorced from their dad, I knew
it was my time to fucking bounce right there. Get
in it all right, Keith, thank you for joining me.
What do you guys got coming up next week? So
we're doing those severance recaps, So every week we do
a severance episode recap, So this week will be the
(30:38):
penultimate episode of season two, and we're also doing Invincible.
Invincible season three wrapped up on Amazon Prime. The Robert
Kirkman comic book. Season one was great, Season two was
actually okay. It was just like so delayed, and then
they split it in half. So I think I was
just more irritated by the release schedule than the actual show.
And then season three actually put out weekly eight straight weeks.
(31:02):
It just wrapped up this past week. I thought it
was good. So we'll talk about season three of Invincible
as well, all right, on Monday, we will finally, unless
Mac gets more time, I don't know work he likes
money or something. We are gonna do our March Macnus
mascot Melee. We are very excited to do this. I
have given Mac twenty for each region. He will cut
(31:23):
that down to sixteen and we will put those brackets
out to you on Monday. You can fiil those out
and we'll get started with the polling by the end
of the week. Maybe Thursday makes sense up to the
actual tournament's doing. That's perfect. So news dump
