Speaker 1 (00:00):
Jared Leto's number one. Jared Leto's number one, Jared Leto's
number one. Not my chair, not my problem, That's what
I say. Clark greg Owes money to the swear Jar
more like longer things five?

Speaker 2 (00:16):
Am I right? JAYC officially out as Jay C Marty
Supreme is making people moist. All of that and so
much more here on Newsdoom. What up, big dog?

Speaker 3 (00:32):
What up homie?

Speaker 2 (00:33):
We're back.

Speaker 3 (00:34):
Yeah, it was nice to see you this morning.

Speaker 2 (00:36):
Oh what a morning, What a Monday morning.

Speaker 3 (00:39):
Wonderful.

Speaker 2 (00:40):
Just stopp him by Target around seven o'clock start time,
as one does, and I noticed that the local card
vendor is there to restock the pokemons and I said,
you know who likes Pokemon is my buddy. Mac shot
him at text right here, and I said, hey, what
do you want? And You're like, I'm right down the street.
I'll come and join.

Speaker 3 (00:56):
You couldn't have been more well timed. I was literally
coming over the hill from Belmont in to Watertown and
I was like, you know what, I'm five minutes away.
I'll join you at this target restock. So we got
some nice Pokemon cards. You know.

Speaker 2 (01:08):
Mac doubled up because they have the policy if you
can only buy two of each product, which I just
learned today. I thought it was just two products in general,
but it's two of each product. So Mac doubled up
on what all the other people were doing there, and
there was quite a line of people.

Speaker 3 (01:22):
I don't care for the other folks that were there.
You know, we're getting them just for us, you know
sort of thing. There was a group of individuals behind us.
Luckily you were first. I was second who gathered everything.
But like Goose said, you can only buy two of
each item, they weren't buying them. They gathered them, put
them all on their thing, and then they're waiting for
their pals to come grab them and then buy them.
It's a fucking whole skin for it.

Speaker 2 (01:45):
And I was upset because around seven thirty, while the
guy was still stalking the shelves, a kid walked by
looking for the Pokemon cards and the mom's like, ah,
he's still working, and I'm like, make sure that kid
gets some mon cards.

Speaker 3 (01:58):
Mom was in a rush, I know, but.

Speaker 2 (02:00):
I felt bad for that kid. Yeah, I felt bad.
He was there on stock day, he didn't get his cards.

Speaker 3 (02:06):
I know, that's the people that deserved the cards, but
instead you had other fucking grown ass men taking all
of the cards like us. Yeah, a little like.

Speaker 2 (02:14):
US news all right, pe.

Speaker 3 (02:18):
Diane Keaton, Yeah, I mean, Diane Keaton is an actress
that everyone knows. I don't know if she's anyone's favorite actress,
but very accomplished, very successful actress. Died at seventy nine,
and I didn't know Diane Keaton was like not doing well.
You know, she always looked kind of younger for her age.
You know. She's probably best known for winning Best Actress
in nineteen seventy eight for Annie Hall. She was nominated

(02:39):
three other times for Best Actress. She was an eight
Woody Allen movies. Her first major role was Kay Adams
and The Godfather trilogy. So she's been around for fucking
ever and everyone, I think everyone likes Diane Kte.

Speaker 2 (02:51):
Well, i'd say, whatever, you know, one of the you
know as she has passed, but like when she was here,
still one of the truly you know, living Hollywood stars,
A name that everyone knew.

Speaker 3 (03:03):
Yeah, absolutely coo. Yeah, not related to Michael Keaton, by the.

Speaker 2 (03:06):
Way, Well, Michael Keaton, his real last name is Douglas.

Speaker 3 (03:10):
Well, Diane's real last name is Hall, but she had to.
She used her mother's maiden name when she joined the
SAG or whatever association because there already was Diana.

Speaker 2 (03:19):
Yeah, changing their names is quite stupid.

Speaker 3 (03:21):
I don't. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (03:22):
Like so, when I was in radio school and Leonardo
DiCaprio just talked about this, his agent told him to
change his last name because it was it was too ethnic.
I had a teacher tell me the exact same thing
of like, hey, if you want to be on the radio,
which I only kind of am, is like change your
last name.

Speaker 3 (03:39):
I disagree. I think the more it stands out the better.

Speaker 2 (03:42):
It's like too many syllables, Like it's three, it's not
that hard. And so now four four, I've only had
this last name for thirty six years.

Speaker 3 (03:54):
Mac n maro hey with a four syllable boys.

Speaker 2 (03:56):
With the four syllable boys. But you've only had that
four syllable names. It's what thirteen years old, fourteen.

Speaker 3 (04:01):
Oh two O two, sixth grade, sixth grade. So my
parents a little peak behind the mac curtain here. My
parents were never married. I never had my father's name
until my mom was marrying my stepfather, so then she
didn't want these random fucking kids with a third name.
So that's when my sister and I finally got my

(04:23):
father's name. That was at some point during sixth grade,
because at the end of sixth grade, do you remember,
we used to get called up on stage and get awards.
I got half my awards.

Speaker 2 (04:32):
Especially you, because you got a lot of awards. Yeah,
you were a smart ket if you were an award
boy back then.

Speaker 3 (04:38):
Yeah. I got half as Jeff Santos, half as Jeff McNamara. Overall,
pretty embarrassing experience. That might have been my downfall though.
Jeff Santos elite act. You were an elite act.

Speaker 2 (04:47):
Died.

Speaker 3 (04:48):
Jeff macnamara all downhill, all downhill.

Speaker 2 (04:51):
I kind of wish that you guys just kept on
adding names instead of like changing, Just keep on stacking names.

Speaker 3 (04:57):
Okay, yeah, all right, sure, Like.

Speaker 2 (04:59):
We could have called six because he had six last names.

Speaker 3 (05:03):
Pretty terrible nickname.

Speaker 2 (05:05):
It's a bad nickname. But news dope ah quick grade
for episode five twenty eight of Mac Andngo Peacemaker season two.
I thought it was another good one. I liked our
open you gave us a ton of nickelback songs. We
then did a blind ranking of where's the best place
to go? Number two? And the irony of it isn't

(05:28):
it ironic? Alanis Morrisset said this, you guys forgot number two.

Speaker 3 (05:33):
Yeah, we fucked up the math. You also, it was
a little long. You did something at the beginning and.

Speaker 2 (05:37):
Already doesn't not my favorite.

Speaker 3 (05:39):
Yeah, yeah, I would say like a B plus of
an episode.

Speaker 2 (05:43):
Well, I so my biggest issue with it now is
that as we were we were adding a tear in there,
we were Mario making a tier into our famous animal tears,
animal movie tears. Right, we called the tier just horse
or horse's exclamation point. We didn't force any effort into it. Yeah,
it could have been horse and around. It could have

(06:05):
been the naysayers. It could have been like the Tina
Belcher tier or something like.

Speaker 3 (06:12):
That Hidsight's twenty twenty.

Speaker 2 (06:14):
You know, Like, as I was listening back, I'm like,
there's so many cool horse names we could have used,
my little ponies.

Speaker 3 (06:21):
I could fox with that.

Speaker 2 (06:23):
We fucked up and because of that C plus.

Speaker 3 (06:27):
Wow, you're really being critical.

Speaker 2 (06:29):
I'm critical of that horse tier, all right. I like
the idea of putting a horse tier. The execution poor.

Speaker 3 (06:36):
Any feedback on where people can shit.

Speaker 2 (06:40):
Uh No, there were some feedback on the Peacemaker season finale.
We'll get to that in a second though. All right, Okay,
news Depe Weekend box Office tron Aris went in there
up against nothing and didn't do great.

Speaker 3 (06:55):
Jared Lettle Superstar box Office bona fide Superstar thirty three
and a half million for tron Aris. I don't know
what it was projected to make. I don't know anyone
particularly excited to see this movie. However, goo, if you
compare it to the last sequel, which, by the way,
this whole fifteen year sequel for a twenty five year
sequel type of storytelling is pretty fucking stupid. Better scores

(07:17):
on Roddy T's for this movie than tron Legacy got.
And I'll tell you what, gou, I didn't mind tron Legacy.
I didn't mind it at all.

Speaker 2 (07:25):
That all you got.

Speaker 3 (07:26):
That's all I got. All Right, this movie might be okay.

Speaker 2 (07:28):
This movie, the movie that I am looking forward to
seeing when it is available to me, when I have
the time to see it, is Rufman. It made eight
million at the box office. It is about a criminal
who hides away at a toy store and then creates
a new life while living there. That's interesting to me.
And it's Channing Tatum.

Speaker 3 (07:46):
Yeah, based on a true story. Eighty four percent, eighty
five percent on Roddy t sixty four metacritic. Most people
are liking this movie. It looks fun, looks it looks
like a fun little time.

Speaker 2 (07:56):
Oh ba six point seven million in its third weekend.

Speaker 3 (08:00):
Yeah, that sounds about right. It's up to one hundred
and thirty eight million worldwide, one battle after another, still
holding strong with all its rowdy te's and metacritics scores.
As we're more and more removed from it, I am
like excited for more people to watch it and talk
to us and maybe listen to our Well.

Speaker 2 (08:16):
Yeah, anyone that has seen it has like they immediately
find me to talk about it. But they think I'm
you so like they think I'm gonna gush Beyond the
thirty eight hot times you hated it, I hated the movie.
It sucks once again. I gave it an A.

Speaker 3 (08:34):
You did give it. I gave it eight plus though
in fact I gave it an A plus and possibly
the best movie. It is the best movie the last
five years.

Speaker 2 (08:41):
A movie that, like the Big Box Office news of
the weekend is the Smashing Machine dropped all the way
to eighth one point eight million dollars sixty nine. Nice
percent drop off. Not a great showing, but The Rock
and said, we did not measure our success as a

(09:02):
movie by the box office.

Speaker 3 (09:04):
Yeah, one might call that a precipitous strop. I do
have good news, however, though, for those backing The Rock
for an Oscar nomination, He's currently inside the top four
betting wise for Best Actor, so I think he may
get a nomination.

Speaker 2 (09:19):
I do like how the Rock says that, and then
in the past, when his movies have done well at
the box office, he'll be like, the people have.

Speaker 3 (09:25):
Spoken Black Adam best movie all.

Speaker 2 (09:29):
I think that's what I'm talking about. When Blackadam, like
had a decent first week but then still either lost
a little bit of money or broke even he was like,
the people have spoken four hundred and fifty million dollars,
So you got to pick a lane. Rock News do it.
The Chair Company premiered last night, but it was at

(09:49):
ten PM, and I was already asleep by nine to
thirty seven.

Speaker 3 (09:52):
This is the uh Tim Robinson zach kanan new show
on HBO, directed by Andrew Deyong. At least the first
ofisode was He's the director of Friendship. Tim is playing
a character named Ron who has a family, a wife,
two kids, and he's in charge. He works at this
company and he's in charge of this new mall that's
opening up. And there's a great conversation at a restaurant

(10:14):
between Tim and a server about what even constitutes them
all that made me laugh. He has this line where
he's trying to go to sleep where he says, I squeaar,
I have the worst pillow in town, and that it
just cuts. The whole thing that makes this the jumping
off point for the season is Ron is at a conference,
given a speech and then he goes to sit back
down and his seat his chair, and the chair breaks

(10:37):
in half. He falls in front of the whole conference.
He becomes a laughing stock, and this begins his descent
into madness. So he begins looking into this chair company,
trying to figure out what the hell's up, if this
is a whole thing or not. And then in his
research he figures out that you can't get a hold
of anyone at this chair company, so he starts getting
you down a rabbit hole. All he wants is in

(10:59):
a for being embarrassed, and he can't get a hold
of anyone, so that's good. There's a couple other good
bits in the episode. The custodian of the building has
a wheelbarrow that he's very defensive over. He claims it's
just an inside wheelbarrow, and then towards the end of
the episode, Tim catches him outside with the wheelbarrow and
he goes, it's just I've had a bad day, so

(11:20):
now that's an outside wheelbarrow.

Speaker 2 (11:22):
This does really speak to me, actually, because you know,
sometimes in the winter you put on a little bit
of weight. You know, you're not paying as much attention
to what you're eating. And I sat in a chair
at work and the chair broke.

Speaker 3 (11:33):
Yeah, not great.

Speaker 2 (11:34):
Now everyone makes him a big Fatso.

Speaker 3 (11:36):
There's a character in the episode that Tim is trying
to set up to fall through the chair to record
so he can have proof that the chairs can hurt people.
And she's an elderly female named Doris. And while while
he's like trying to record her, someone hands her a
piece of paper and she says, this is the hardest
laugh I had the whole episode, she goes, you gave

(11:58):
me that paper too hard. She's like, so this series
is like gonna be exactly what we want. It's it's
gonna be right up our ally.

Speaker 2 (12:07):
Okay, I'm excited. This is a long form I think
you should leave sketch. Yes, I'm gonna catch it tonight
ten o'clock on Sundays. I mentioned this last week. I
am burnt out by Sunday nights.

Speaker 3 (12:18):
No, it's it's at the end of the weekend. It's tough.
Ten pm on a Sunday is tough to catch, but
you know it's it's I think it's gonna be if
you stay up, it'll be worth watching. But also, it's
not like there's gonna be spoilers for it.

Speaker 2 (12:29):
You know, there's no of HBO. Their last HBO Max
show that wrapped up last week. Peacemaker on IMDb got
a rating for their finale of six point nine, the
lowest of the series.

Speaker 3 (12:44):
Yeah, I and Goo and I we I think we
did a good job summarizing the.

Speaker 2 (12:50):
Season of tenC plus episode YEP and.

Speaker 3 (12:53):
Our feelings for the show. And we were both pretty
optimistic glass half full heading into the finale, and the
finale just feels a little disconnected from the rest of
the season, more of an epilogue than anything else, and
more of a prologue into other DCUs.

Speaker 2 (13:06):
Wesley Burho texted me and he's like, the finale felt
like a season premiere.

Speaker 3 (13:11):
Yeah it was, or like, yeah, I don't. It's just
it's it's disjointed. That doesn't take away from what the
first seven episodes did. It does, however, if you're grading
the season as a whole, it brings it down a
little bit. Now there's there's a lot of Snyder in
cells online, like trying to take a victory lap because
the finale wasn't great, but like he's still hit on.

Speaker 2 (13:34):
I've seen some chatter online that James's gun has already
been fired.

Speaker 3 (13:39):
Oh my god. There's a lot of fucking idiots. There's
just a lot of fucking idiots on the internet.

Speaker 2 (13:45):
I can never tell. And I feel like accounts should
have this more like is this a parody account.

Speaker 3 (13:50):
That's the worst part is these fucking people believe themselves
and believe these other ten percent of in cells. It's
fucking it's bad.

Speaker 2 (13:56):
Also for a lot of these websites and a lot
of these posts, it's written by Ai, so it gets
a lot of things wrong. I saw one the other
day that was, uh, I can't believe these two Hall
of Famers called each other out, and it's Shack calling
out Piers and Peers calling out Shack. But their quotes
are flipped, so it's Shack saying, Wow, this guy misses

(14:19):
a lot of foul shots, and it's Peers going, this
guy doesn't know when to use the bathroom in the finals.
I'm like, what the fuck is this?

Speaker 3 (14:26):
There is also every once in a while, if you're
like looking for something on X and you google a phrase,
you'll run into a bot that is replying to a
million accounts with like a piece of that phrase, and
you're like, what are we doing here?

Speaker 2 (14:39):
Technology is great. James Gunn has said that he has
no plans for Peacemaker season three as of yet. This
is via Deadline.

Speaker 3 (14:47):
Yep. He did mention though, in this last week or
two that all of these characters that are left at
the end of Peacemaker season two we will see again,
just not necessarily in a Peacemaker project, but is a
part of larger DCU.

Speaker 2 (15:01):
News demp some more family stuff. If you are looking
to share your DC comic Fun with your Children. We
got a trailer for batfam This is released on eleven ten.
It is a follow up to Marry Little Batman, the
animated Christmas special that came out two years ago. Is

(15:22):
this on Max, Amazon Prime?

Speaker 3 (15:24):
Cool. I don't love the animation in this. It kind
of turns me on.

Speaker 2 (15:28):
No, but it's very kid friendly and even when my
son saw it when he was three, he loved it.

Speaker 3 (15:33):
I mean, Batman looks like the Crimson Chin, so he's got.

Speaker 2 (15:36):
A beard too. Yeah, this is fun, silly stuff.

Speaker 3 (15:39):
I think it's exactly it's for six year old kids.

Speaker 2 (15:41):
If you're trying to introduce stuff to your children, you
can't show them Peacemaker, you can't show them the Batman.
You can show them this Batman though.

Speaker 3 (15:50):
Sorry, that's right.

Speaker 2 (15:51):
News Depp Disney was that New York Comic Con really
showing off a lot of their television stuff. But we
also got a trailer for wonder Man.

Speaker 3 (16:01):
I'm intrigued. I don't know a fucking thing. I don't
know not one thing about wonder Man, his characters, what anything,
or his characters in his comics and his stories. I
literally know nothing, And you know what, I'm finding that
that's my favorite. These are my favorite ventures when I
have no expectations. I don't know what I want the

(16:21):
show to do. This is what I like, I'm trying
to think of. Like MS Marvel, for example, I didn't
know a fucking thing about that character, and I ended
up really enjoying that show because I knew nothing.

Speaker 2 (16:33):
So I did get one really hardy chuckle out of
the trailer of when the Mandarin is making everyone laugh
and then everyone's like, I think he's a former terrorist. Yeah,
but beyond that, and this might be my new pet
peeve when it comes to uh, movies, television shows, the
inside Hollywood stuff. I just think that we're getting too

(16:53):
much of it recently.

Speaker 3 (16:54):
Yeah, it'll be interesting to see how much of that
plays into the full season or if it's just like
the first episode.

Speaker 2 (17:00):
Like the Studio. And granted that also was too much
of like a Utah I talk thing. It was it
was like all one shots, but like I had no
interest in watching that. Yeah, I enjoyed what was the
Ryan Gosling movie last year, The Fall Guy. I enjoyed
The Fall Guy, but we also said at the end,
We're like, there was a bit too much inside Hollywood

(17:21):
stuff there that might turn some people off.

Speaker 3 (17:24):
Yeah, and that was also really a first venture into
that side inside Hollywood, like that part of it, you know.

Speaker 2 (17:30):
So that was and the movie also I think did
its job because aren't stunts now going to be getting
an oscar? Wasn't that the point of the movie not
to make money? Because it didn't make money.

Speaker 3 (17:39):
It certainly was out of its way to show that
these people worked their dicks off and don't get anything
for it. So I don't know if the if the
Academy did add that or not.

Speaker 2 (17:46):
I think it did. I think we did a news
dump on it. Do you not remember every news dump headline?

Speaker 3 (17:50):
I don't know what I said three minutes ago.

Speaker 2 (17:52):
What did you say three minutes ago? What do you think?
What was the topic three minutes ago?

Speaker 3 (17:57):
No idea. I'm trying not to scroll up to cheat. Either.

Speaker 2 (18:01):
We did Box Office and The Chairman.

Speaker 3 (18:03):
Yeah, so all right, one of those two things.

Speaker 2 (18:05):
I am concerned about. You, I am really concerned. News
dump tons of news on Vision Quest. It's releasing on
Disney Plus in twenty twenty six. We're gonna see a
return of James Spader in the human form of Ultron
and it is White Vision. He has all the memories
of the original Vision, but struggles to connect with them emotionally.

(18:30):
Mac lots of robots.

Speaker 3 (18:32):
Yeah, I've been banging my fist for Vision Quest News.
We finally get it. It is releasing next year. We
have Ultron both in a human form somehow, and spader
Back is the voice. We're also gonna have Friday, Eve
Dummy and Jarvis. And this is really interesting. All of
these are going to appear and have human forms. So
I wonder if we're Al's gonna be operating on like

(18:54):
a different plane, I don't know, robots plane, the General,
the gentleman that played whatever his first name is in Jarvis,
in Agent Carter, James Darcy. He's going to be playing
the human form of Jarvis, but Paul Bettany's still going
to be playing Vision. So it's kind of weird.

Speaker 2 (19:14):
Whatever. Bit weird, isn't it?

Speaker 3 (19:16):
Bit weir?

Speaker 2 (19:16):
And I also got uh Roheed good Red.

Speaker 3 (19:24):
Yeah, I don't.

Speaker 2 (19:25):
I didn't believe has officially been cast a star as
Tommy Maximov.

Speaker 3 (19:29):
Yeah. This is the brother that presumably Agatha and Billy
went to go search for at the end of Agatha's
season so it sounds like the Vision Quest series is
going to be this third movie or third entry into
this WandaVision storyline that began with WandaVision. We got Agatha

(19:53):
and I guess would you consider a multiverse part of that?
And now we'll get.

Speaker 2 (19:58):
I don't want, I don't news up. They also showed
off some stuff from Daredevil season two and big news here.
Biggest news for you at least is that Matthew Lillard
is playing a character named Doctor Charles, and he is
an antagonist of Kingpin, a political antagonist.

Speaker 3 (20:20):
If you would like to see the teaser trailer they
showed at New York Comic Kristin Ritter fucking snapchatted it
out or whatever, so you can find that online if
you'd like to go watch. The biggest piece of news
here for me gu is Marvel TV Box spouse Brad
Winderbaum told EU that the connection between Daredevil Born Against

(20:40):
season two and spider Man Brand New Day is important,
So it sounds like whatever happens in Daredevil Born Against
season two is gonna lead directly into Spider Man Brand
New Day, which again is the only Marvel movie we're
getting between now and Avengers dooms Day, so they're raising
the stakes. Look, I mean to me, it just seems

(21:01):
like it'll be Fisk Punisher Jess Jones. And then finally,
I'm having to guess here, venturing a guesscou that we're
gonna see Spider.

Speaker 2 (21:10):
Man not on the television, though I think we may.
I don't think they're legally allowed.

Speaker 3 (21:15):
I know you've mentioned that before.

Speaker 2 (21:17):
But then also Kingpin is legally not allowed to be
in the movie.

Speaker 3 (21:22):
How do we get across these wires? You know how
we got to touch tips here?

Speaker 2 (21:25):
We need to find some kind of a Disney lawyer.

Speaker 3 (21:27):
Let us gingerly touch all tips.

Speaker 2 (21:29):
I know when I call our lawyer about this, he
tells me to stop, like, stop calling about this. He
has real important family issues. He's a lawyer. He's a
family lawyer.

Speaker 3 (21:38):
Is that what he's doing? Nice family?

Speaker 2 (21:39):
I don't know what he's doing, but I'll tell you
this about him working for the state. There is no
one better at swatting bees than our lawyer.

Speaker 3 (21:47):
How many times have you witnessed him swat about.

Speaker 2 (21:49):
Two or three times, which is above really anyone I've
ever seen.

Speaker 3 (21:53):
Okay, yeah, okay, all right.

Speaker 2 (21:55):
Because when you're swatting out a bee. You better hit it, yeah,
because if you don't, you don't get stinged, stunned, stuned, stinged.
Got that stang on me? News dope, Clark greg is
saying that some fans are on some fans saying that
Agents of Shield is not Cannon In the MCU, he said,

(22:18):
go fuck yourself. We're proud of what we did.

Speaker 3 (22:21):
And you would know Clark Greg from such.

Speaker 2 (22:23):
New Adventures of Old Christine.

Speaker 3 (22:25):
That's where I was going. Underrated show, gu underrated show.

Speaker 2 (22:29):
Oh, actually, isn't the brother from the New Adventures of
Old Christine? Isn't he Batman? And Mary Little Batman?

Speaker 3 (22:36):
Oh? I have no idea.

Speaker 2 (22:37):
You talk for a hot second. I gotta look this up.

Speaker 3 (22:40):
Is it Agent Colter that he plays in the MCU?
Is that his name?

Speaker 2 (22:44):
I know him as the ex husband from the New
Adventures of Old Christine. Also New Christine.

Speaker 3 (22:50):
He dates the New Christine. The Old Christine is Julia
Louis Dreyfish. What was that a CBS.

Speaker 2 (22:56):
Shows A CBS show, Yes, yeah, yeah, Oh it's Mary
Little Batman is Luke Wilson.

Speaker 3 (23:02):
Oh so not not Adventures of Old Christine. You're talking
about Old Christine's brother.

Speaker 2 (23:08):
Yes, old Christine's brother from the show you know which Batman? He? Yeah,
he is the Batman in that Batman, the animated series
that came out last year, the one that was on Prime,
that was supposed to be on HBO.

Speaker 3 (23:24):
I'm just not ringing a bell good like, like we
just recapped. I don't know what I said three minutes ago.
I can't remember a Batman show from last year.

Speaker 2 (23:30):
The penguin is a lady in it, and one of
her sons is Paul Sheer.

Speaker 3 (23:34):
I did not watch this.

Speaker 2 (23:35):
That's in the synopsis. What are you talking about? Oh,
go fuck yourself, mac.

Speaker 3 (23:40):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (23:41):
But also when I say the first name Clark, my
mind always goes to Clark Duke.

Speaker 3 (23:47):
Not PLoP, not plump. I always think he's PLoP.

Speaker 2 (23:50):
He's not plump. Everyone thinks he's PLoP. He's not.

Speaker 3 (23:53):
He was very ploppish.

Speaker 2 (23:54):
Everyone had him pegged as the next comedic superstar coming
out of Super B. They said, this guy, he's gonna
be the one that brings us into the next millennium
as comedy evolves, and we got hot Tough time Machine.
He goes, yeah, he's in the third act.

Speaker 3 (24:12):
What is he doing super Bad.

Speaker 2 (24:13):
He's in the background of every party scene in super Bad,
I mean Hot Top time Machine. How can you watch
anything and if Clark Duke is in it not be
like fucking Clark Duke's bad.

Speaker 3 (24:24):
Well that's why I was stunt. I don't I don't
recall this.

Speaker 2 (24:27):
I'm kind of embarrassed for you.

Speaker 3 (24:29):
Yeah, that's fair, Clark Duke.

Speaker 2 (24:31):
We have sex Drive, we have both Hot Top Time Machines.
Give me one more Clark Duke movie. I have one
in my.

Speaker 3 (24:39):
Head Clark Duke Hot Top Time Machine two.

Speaker 2 (24:42):
I just said both Hot Top time Machines. You can't
give me a sequel if I said.

Speaker 3 (24:45):
That I heard the first one.

Speaker 2 (24:46):
Sorry, I believe he was in kick Ass.

Speaker 3 (24:49):
Yeah, he's the he's the He's he's in the friend
group in kick Ass.

Speaker 2 (24:52):
You're right, all right, So we're gonna start the next
episode with how many Clark Duke movies? Does mac? No,
we just did four. That might be we're in store
for a Clark dukeassance. We've already talked about this a
couple of times.

Speaker 3 (25:02):
Yeah, where did he go?

Speaker 2 (25:04):
Where did he go? I've been watching an interview. I
think it's with Neil Brennan. It's Jason Biggs talking about
you know, he thought, you know, he was at the
top of the mountain after American Pie. He was getting
his own movies, and then he was too proud to
do television when his movie started to fizzle out and
he turned down How I Met Your Mother?

Speaker 3 (25:23):
Was he gonna play Ted Moseby?

Speaker 2 (25:24):
I'm assuming.

Speaker 3 (25:25):
I mean, listen, there's a lot of shitty, cheesy television
shows that run for seven, eight, nine, ten seasons you
can make. You could be all set for life if
you get on one of those shows and that's all
you really gotta do, because it's gonna run on other networks.

Speaker 2 (25:39):
You could be like Jason Siegel and just take off
five years like I'm gonna rest and I'll come back
when I'm ready to win awards. He's like, he's an
award winning actor.

Speaker 3 (25:48):
Now.

Speaker 2 (25:49):
I'm also gonna ask this question. If Jason Biggs is
Ted Moseby, you can't hire Alison Hannigan in that show, right, Yeah,
because they're too connected. It would be distracting.

Speaker 3 (26:01):
And that's about the age group that's watching that show too. Yeah,
here's a question for you. Is Alison Hannigan one of
the more underrated attractiveness ladies on the planet. No one
ever talks about it.

Speaker 2 (26:14):
I don't really I don't see it, No, not in
so I've heard people describe it as normal folk like you. Yeah,
you're an average person. Sure, you watch it and you
think in your mind, because she's not like mind blowingly beautiful,
that you see her as being obtainable.

Speaker 3 (26:31):
She reminds me of who's the who plays Janice and
Mean Girls, Lizzie Kaplan. She reminds me of Lizzie Kaplan,
and that they're both obviously very attractive, but not like
classically gorgeous, you know, like you might see them out
at a swing.

Speaker 2 (26:48):
And by the way, to all of these actresses, if
you saw them in real life, that blow your pants off.

Speaker 3 (26:54):
I bet Alison Hannig. It's a fun hang too. She's
been in She was in Buffy.

Speaker 2 (26:58):
She wasn't Buffy. She was in Buffy, American Pie one, two,
three four, How I Met Your Mother? She was in
what was the spoof movie where she played a large
lady and then lost weight.

Speaker 3 (27:13):
Yeah, I forget the name of that movie. Forty three.

Speaker 2 (27:16):
No, it was not movie forty three. That was a
bunch of stars that thought they were in different movies,
and it turns out they were in the worst movie
of all time? Was it date movie? I'm gonna say
date movie might be date movie. If it is date movie,
I get the points. The points don't matter, but I
do get the points. Sure, News Dump X Men ninety

(27:36):
seven will return for season three, but until then, season
two is released next summer.

Speaker 3 (27:41):
Yeah, we got some stills. I think there also might
have been a leaked teaser for this as well. I
don't really want to see anything about this until like
a week before and so I can get super excited
about it. I am obviously very much looking forward to it.

Speaker 2 (27:52):
I've seen that it's darker than season one.

Speaker 3 (27:54):
That works. I think they have proof of concept now, right.

Speaker 2 (27:56):
All I saw was darker, So I don't know tonally
or if like it's just a black.

Speaker 3 (28:00):
Screen they ran out of colors.

Speaker 2 (28:02):
Is it's a theater of the mind now, that'd be
ballsy by Disney. News Dump's about some news on Friendly
Neighborhood Spider Man. Season two will come out next fall
and Venom will appear.

Speaker 3 (28:18):
I'm not sure I finished season one. It's a fun
little show. My nephews really like it. My nephews who
are five and three really like the show, so that's
all you really need.

Speaker 2 (28:27):
One of my nephews when he does is thwip. You
know how thwip is this? He does it like this,
like twip, like you know how on The Apprentice when
Donald Trump used to fire people you fight it. Yeah, whip.

Speaker 3 (28:42):
Maybe a more accurate thwip whip.

Speaker 2 (28:45):
I like it. I don't know that's bad for a podcast.
I'm not describing it well. But we're an audio podcast.
Half the time these shows don't even go on YouTube.
That's a lie. It's just when the So let's give
a little behind the scenes. Because I didn't post the
last news dump toy YouTube.

Speaker 3 (29:00):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (29:01):
Sometimes when we record what is given to us from
the website that we use, the audio is annoying and
I believe it is not usable. And when that happens,
I don't post it as a video.

Speaker 3 (29:13):
Yeah no, I mean I have no saying it. I
do absolutely nothing behind the scenes.

Speaker 2 (29:17):
So Mac wouldn't care if I posted any of these
anywheeres he's nice conversations.

Speaker 3 (29:22):
I've been on the videos. I get to look at
my funko pops, I get to look at my face.

Speaker 2 (29:27):
Oh, by the way, if any of you people are
out there looking to purchase expensive funko pops, Mac is
selling some.

Speaker 3 (29:33):
I got a handful that are pretty valuable that I'll
probably be getting rid of because I don't even know
if I'm displaying him behind me here, I just have
no room to display them. And I think I got
about a couple hundred. Then I'll probably sell off. I'll
sell off all the expensive ones and still have plenty.

Speaker 2 (29:46):
Of display Tatum, speaking of Ruffman, we were just talking
about Rufman five seconds ago. He said that twenty three
Jump Street the script is one of the best he
has ever read, but it'll probably never happened because of
greedy producers or a greedy producer one specific one.

Speaker 3 (30:05):
I think that's a real bummer. And I also was
so in on the Men in Black twenty three Jump
Street crossover. There's a lot of potential to be had here.
Twenty one and twenty two Jump Street of two of the
best colonies the last fifteen years. I've just I really
really liked those movies. So the people are.

Speaker 2 (30:23):
We almost going to cross over with Men in Black?
I just said that I wasn't paying attention to I
was treating the name Neil H. Horwitz or I'm sorry,
Neil H. Morwitz, who is the producer who is fee
is too high? So it's being killed because of that.

Speaker 3 (30:37):
Maybe they'll sit Damn, I'm gonna bleep.

Speaker 2 (30:40):
That out because I don't want the irs to come
after us.

Speaker 3 (30:44):
Yeah, that's who believe is.

Speaker 2 (30:49):
Gonna trailer another trailer for The Running Man. This is
coming out on the fourteenth Edgar Wright and Glenn Powell.
I'll say November fourteenth. I thought that we were past
October fourteenth, and I could say the fourteenth. Wait, actually,
let me ask you this. Do I have to be
in the month to just give a day or yes?
I feel like if I'm just past that date in
the original month, like the first month, I could say

(31:11):
the fourteenth, and we know it's the next fourteenth.

Speaker 3 (31:13):
Yeah, I mean you and I would know. Maybe some
of the listeners wouldn't November fourteenth.

Speaker 2 (31:17):
But me saying it on the thirteenth and saying it
comes out on the fourteenth, that makes it seem like
it's coming out tomorrow or today.

Speaker 3 (31:22):
Correct, Well, this is October thirteenth. This comes out November fourteenth.
This movie looks pretty good, pretty good girl pretty good.

Speaker 2 (31:29):
I mean, it's got Edgar right, Edgar Wright. That's really
I think if it was just like a generic like
director that we've heard of but doesn't have this great
track record, I would just look at this as like
it looks like a bit of a cash grab. But yeah,
Edgar Rush grab, Edgar Wright. Edgar Wright still want to
see his ant man, but we're never going to see that.
He's dumb. All episodes of Stranger Things season five bit

(31:53):
Weird Atnight, Bit wed at that will be over one
hour long, between ninety to one and twenty minutes each.
The budget per episode fifty to sixty million dollars.

Speaker 3 (32:04):
I believe it's gonna be four or five episodes as well.

Speaker 2 (32:08):
Sorry, no, isn't it Isn't it eight? But the first
batch is five episodes, then it's two, then it's one.

Speaker 3 (32:15):
No, I think it's five total. I want I'm not.

Speaker 2 (32:17):
Gonna look this up. I'm just gonna say I think
you're wrong.

Speaker 3 (32:20):
Yeah, because I mean maybe I could be. It might
be hard to review it all in one podcast episode
with that much content, right.

Speaker 2 (32:28):
I mean, we can do each segments as a podcast
like we can do the first one. The first part
comes out Thanksgiving, so we need to ignore our family
for the weekend and watch three episodes of Stranger Things.
Then the next one comes out Christmas, so we need
to ignore Baby Jesus and watch Stranger Things. And then
the next one comes out New Year's so we need

(32:51):
to ignore Baby Huey and watch Stranger Things.

Speaker 3 (32:54):
Good. I had a Thanksgiving sandwich. I'm forgetting the sandwich
places escape me. It's in Lexington, near Lexington.

Speaker 2 (33:01):
Was it a moistmaker?

Speaker 3 (33:03):
I don't know what it was called. It was ordered private,
it was just available to me. There was an open
house situation. It was one of the best Thanksgiving sandwiches
I've ever had ever.

Speaker 2 (33:11):
Do you not know what a moistmaker is?

Speaker 3 (33:13):
I mean, I'm sure it's a Thanksgiving sandwich.

Speaker 2 (33:14):
It's made famous on Friends. It's Ross's post Thanksgiving sandwich
where it's all the fixings and then he takes a
piece of whitebread, dips it in gravy, and then puts
it in the middle.

Speaker 3 (33:25):
It's not bad.

Speaker 2 (33:26):
He calls it the moistmaker. There's also Max nickname in
high school.

Speaker 3 (33:31):
I'm just happy. You know, sometimes you get a Thanksgiving
sandwich and they just the ratio isn't there. But if
you get the right ratio and a Thanksgiving sandwich, goo,
I don't know if there's anything better.

Speaker 2 (33:44):
You know what, I've had a real hankering for it lately.
What's that cornish game? Hen? Okay, sure it's like a
little Thanksgiving dinner. But yeah, yeah, that's a little bird.

Speaker 3 (33:54):
It really just comes down to how moist the stuffing is,
I think in the sandwich, which really helps the sandwich along.

Speaker 2 (34:00):
So stuffing wise, I'm guessing that what you do is
like there's some stuffing in the bird, but then you're
making extra stuffing on the side that is outside of
the bird.

Speaker 3 (34:08):
Yeah. Sometimes you have a real moist one that's usually
in the bird, and then sometimes you have more of
like a crisp stuffing that you just straight up bake
in the eye.

Speaker 2 (34:15):
I mean what you want to do, I like a combo,
take a scoop of both, you mix it up.

Speaker 3 (34:18):
See you get it. I've got it.

Speaker 2 (34:20):
Yeah, they have a nice moistmaker.

Speaker 3 (34:22):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (34:22):
I mean my sandwich post Thanksgiving is I take everything,
I chop it up real small, stir it up, and
then I just put that slop right on a piece
of bread.

Speaker 3 (34:33):
I like it.

Speaker 2 (34:33):
On a nice friend Cheesy. For those of you who
go to Iggy's, the French chezy is a beautiful sour
dough that you can hollow out the inside of You
can take that inside of it out. I eat it separate,
and then you just have this beautiful crunchy crust that
is delicious.

Speaker 3 (34:47):
I will say this, I like cranberry sauce, but in
the sandwich, I just want a hint of the cranberry.
Oh yeah, I don't want it to overpower the sandwich.

Speaker 2 (34:55):
I agree, I agree. So that is man. No, that's
stranger Things news dope. Invincible season four got a is
it a teaser? It was four minutes long.

Speaker 3 (35:08):
Yeah, but there was like no actual footage from season four.
They also announced a couple of new cast members. Hugh
I was out Uninvincible after season two season three, wrote
me back in. But the fucking time between seasons, kill me,
kill me. I don't need three years between animated seasons, dude,
It's just it takes forever.

Speaker 2 (35:28):
I was about to download the entire Invincible run comic
run on Hoopla the other day, and I was just
gonna read through it. But then turns out Boston Public
Library no longer works with Hoopla, and I can't read
my comics on Hoopla anymore.

Speaker 3 (35:45):
Wow, that stinks.

Speaker 2 (35:46):
So everyone's like it doesn't really matter. Just get Libby.

Speaker 3 (35:48):
What's that?

Speaker 2 (35:49):
What I don't think about Libby though, is it's it's
like a real library, where like not everything is available
to you and you can like check it off as
like I would like to take this out next.

Speaker 3 (35:58):
What fuck is that? It's digital?

Speaker 2 (36:00):
You have so many licenses? Come on with that, it's cheaper.
I'm assuming because Hoopla you can do whatever you want.
That's why I loved Hooplah. But now I'm sitting there
like I want to I want to read or listen
to this, and they're like, you can listen to it
in two weeks. I'm gonna have no interest in this
in two weeks, So they don't know how my mind works.
Come on, news dump Mortal Kombat teaser. We also now

(36:24):
know that Mortal Kombat three is in development by Warner Brothers.

Speaker 3 (36:27):
I like these movies. Yeah, keep my expectations low. You're
gonna go in have a good time.

Speaker 2 (36:31):
All they have to do going into these and be
like story does not matter. Yep, let's just have fun
and yell cool lines.

Speaker 3 (36:38):
That's it.

Speaker 2 (36:39):
That's all we want news, demp, not some news on
Jumanji three. Mac, Would you say it's news Manji Nu Manji.

Speaker 3 (36:49):
Jumanj Jumanj news That didn't work. No, Dwayne Johnson, Kevin Hart,
Jack Black, and Karen Gillan have all signed on for
Jumanji three.

Speaker 2 (36:58):
So there's that news done. Got a teaser to Pluribus.

Speaker 3 (37:05):
This is the new series from Breaking Bad creator Vince Gilligan,
starring Ray of Sea Horn, who obviously starred in uh
A Better Call Song.

Speaker 2 (37:15):
And either the wife, sister or mother to Jason.

Speaker 3 (37:19):
They spell it differently, but shut out.

Speaker 2 (37:21):
That doesn't matter.

Speaker 3 (37:22):
Jason Seahorn, the last great white cornerback until we've got
a couple now Cooper Dejean and Riley Moss. This series
follows the character being played by Ray Seahorn, and she
is the most miserable person on earth who must save
the world from happiness. Very intrigued by this, very intrigued,
but I'm also curious. So pluribus in Latin goo, if
you were wondering, means either many or more, so that

(37:44):
obviously has some sort of meaning. Playing in plural kind
of now I'm wrong. I mean yes, more more than
one is more or many?

Speaker 2 (37:55):
What are you gonna do?

Speaker 3 (37:56):
El pluribus? What's the thing on the dollar? El pluribus something?

Speaker 2 (38:00):
You're the one who's always reading dollars and folding them
up and telling me that it looks like stuff. The
dollar bill is trying to tell me something good. You're
the only person who carries cash around, and all you're
doing is folding it up.

Speaker 3 (38:14):
I hate cash.

Speaker 2 (38:15):
I hate cash too. We don't need it anymore.

Speaker 3 (38:17):
Throw it away, get rid of coins.

Speaker 2 (38:19):
I was told that I'm not allowed to throw coins away,
but I throw pennies away. I threw away a giant
bag of pennies, and I was told I'm not supposed.

Speaker 3 (38:25):
To do well for the giant bag. I might take
it to a coin star.

Speaker 2 (38:28):
But if it wassane size bag of fucking pennies.

Speaker 3 (38:31):
Oh, you should have took it to a coinstar and
got like a dollar eighty.

Speaker 2 (38:34):
I had a big thing of coins from when I
was in high school. It was in my Patriots piggybank
and I went through it found a buffalo nickel.

Speaker 3 (38:41):
How about that?

Speaker 2 (38:42):
Yeah? I found out those are worth five cents.

Speaker 3 (38:47):
Why didn't you know it?

Speaker 2 (38:48):
Who the fuck news Dump. Finally, Marty Supreme, The Ping
Pong Master is debut or it has debuted at the
New York Film Festival and people are going Google gaga.

Speaker 3 (39:03):
Yes, yeah, this is the Josh Josh Safti directing. Benny
Safty directed The Smashing Machine Machine Big Year for the
Safties and Goo. People are absolutely gushing over this movie
and over Schalo May's performance, and it sounds like he
has overtaken Leo for the front runner for lead Actor.
In fact, the odds on DraftKings at the moment for

(39:26):
Best Actor shalome at minus one to ten, Leo at
plus twenty one eight five, Jeremy Allen White in The
Springsteen Movie plus four hundred, and then The Rock Dwayne
Johnson fourth at plus eight hundred going fifth. This movie's
also coming out this week or next Hamnet Paul mezcal
at plus nine hundred. Yeah go, your hand is raised.

Speaker 2 (39:45):
Okay, So let me ask you this question. Do you think,
because Shalomey has now been nominated twice and this will
be his third nomination, do you think that people will
take into account how much they liked him in the
Bob Dylan movie as well, and the I'll couple it
together and give him the leg up. I have not
seen this movie yet, but do you think that it'll

(40:06):
be like he has done such good work leading up
to this that it'll help him achieve his Academy award.

Speaker 3 (40:13):
Yeah? I think that plays a part. The fact that
he's the leading candidate on DraftKings right now before this
movie's even gotten a wide release. Says if you want
to bet on him, bet on him now at even
money feel more interesting to me. So for Also, Jesse
Buckley is the leader for lead actress, she's the co
star and Hamnet She's already minus two fifty, so I
don't think anyone should bet that. Who knows what's gonna

(40:35):
happen there. The more interesting thing at the moment is
supporting actress. Both Tayana Taylor and Chase Infinity are in
the top three. There's no way Tayana Taylor wins that
zero chance. Chase Infinity is third, but the top three
are pretty close, so there's some value on Chase Affinity
right now. And I think if Shalomey really really starts

(40:58):
to dominate Leo in the odds, you'll see Chase Infinity
get pushed up.

Speaker 2 (41:01):
I'm not sure if that's true, because no one likes
a newcomer to come in and steal the show.

Speaker 3 (41:06):
Supporting you might be okay for it, though, Also.

Speaker 2 (41:09):
What are the supporting men odds? Is Penn out in front?

Speaker 3 (41:13):
Pen Is in the top two? I took a quick look.
Benisio a Deltro not nominated, Well, no one's nominated yet,
but not.

Speaker 2 (41:19):
Yeah, but we're gonna We're gonna make a new category
for him.

Speaker 3 (41:22):
Yeah, yes, best wingman, even if.

Speaker 2 (41:25):
You just made a category like most memorable character from
the year. Yeah, like the character that people are gonna
talk about for years to come when everyone forgets about
all these Lady Tidy Award movies.

Speaker 3 (41:36):
I mean, they'll be talking about Sean Penn's character for
a long time.

Speaker 2 (41:39):
Maybe they will be not as much as Benisio del Toro.

Speaker 3 (41:42):
I think it's about to say, little beer, small.

Speaker 2 (41:44):
Beers do all right, check us out at the end
of the week. We do not have a topic yet,
but hmmm, I have an idea.

Speaker 3 (41:52):
Yeah, maybe we do another. What have you been watching?
We get a couple of things. I got a couple
of things. Anyway, We've got smashing Machine, I watched good Boy.
I'm going to try to watch Rufman this week.

Speaker 2 (42:01):
Oh, I want to see what is the Azisanzori movie?

Speaker 3 (42:06):
Oh, I know what're talking about. I don't remember what.

Speaker 2 (42:08):
Am Keanu Reeves and seth.

Speaker 3 (42:10):
W Keanu Reeves plays an angel.

Speaker 2 (42:12):
Yeah, yeah, that's kind of like him in his real
life in the Hums.

Speaker 3 (42:19):
So if you just see that and I catch Rufman,
let's let's just do. What have you been watching at the.

Speaker 2 (42:24):
End of the week, early two thousands artists? How many
Kelly Clarkson songs do you know?

Speaker 3 (42:28):
Oh? Sixteen, sixteen?

Speaker 2 (42:30):
Yeah, okay, I'm not sure if he even has sixteen.

Speaker 3 (42:33):
Yeah, that might have been a lot, but I undershot
the last one.

Speaker 2 (42:36):
I know from Justin and Kelly. That's it, News Dope.

It’s 1996 in rural North Carolina, and an oddball crew makes history when they pull off America’s third largest cash heist. But it’s all downhill from there. Join host Johnny Knoxville as he unspools a wild and woolly tale about a group of regular ‘ol folks who risked it all for a chance at a better life. CrimeLess: Hillbilly Heist answers the question: what would you do with 17.3 million dollars? The answer includes diamond rings, mansions, velvet Elvis paintings, plus a run for the border, murder-for-hire-plots, and FBI busts.
