(00:01):
It's Night Died with Dan Ray onWBB Boston's news radio. Welcome back everybody.
I'd like to also welcome back Republicancandidate for the US Senate John Deeton
on John, Welcome back Tonight's side. We talked a little over a month
ago. I'm just curious, how'sthe campaign coming along? Hey, Dan,

(00:22):
thanks for having me. Great andthe campaign is really going great.
You know. In fact, tomorrow, I'm throwing a volunteer appreciation of it.
I'm throwing a party for all myvolunteers, the grassroots movement that we're
having. They helped me exceed bya large number the amount of certified signatures.

(00:45):
I was recently on my birthday Junethird, I went to the Ancient
and Honorable Artillery Company in Massachusetts, the oldest of that type and Western Hemisphere,
and I got to celebrate and talkto veterans from all the different armed
forces. I went to the borderto understand that problem that we're facing,
the matter I want. I wantto drill down on that a lot.

(01:08):
Tell us where this event is incase, you know, people are unaware
of it, but they'd like tomeet you. Where's this event coming up?
It's it's tomorrow and it's uh inweymouths at hold on, and if
you don't have it in front ofyou, we can plug it a little
bit later on. Don't worry aboutit, Okay, I will. It's

(01:29):
my friend. I'm just I'm drawingblank on it, but I'll get it
before the hour is up. Don'tworry, okay. Well, listen,
I got to tell you the campaign. I've been talking to so many voters.
I got to tell you, Dan, sometimes I lose track of the
day, but the reception I'm gettingis amazing. I can't wait to talk
about it. Well, the candidatewho you would like to unsea and who

(01:53):
you would like to move out ofthe US Senate is none other than Elizabeth
Warren, who I've made pretty clearthat's I'm not on her Christmas card list.
She isn't on my Christmas card list. But I want to focus on
you. You're a lawyer, trialattorney, a Marine Corps veteran, and

(02:15):
a cancer survivor. I didn't realizethat you had survived cancer. Tell us
about that, because I think alot of people who are cancer survivors will
identify with that struggle. Well, listen, Dan, you know I was
a lucky one. Unlike the diagnosisthat you were talking on about pancreatic cancer.
I was diagnosed with testicular cancer whileI was in college, and I

(02:38):
was one of the lucky ones becauseif it's caught early, then you have
a ninety five survival rate. AndI call myself a lucky one because you
know you mentioned I'm a lawyer. For over two decades in the Commonwealth here,
I've been representing mesothelioma clients, peoplewho get a death sentence from asbestos

(03:00):
exposure mesotheli only the only known causeis in fact asbestos, and so when
you get that diagnosis, it's completelyfatal. And so I will always consider
myself a lucky one. But it'swhy I care so much about things like
healthcare and affordability and access to healthcarebecause I had that benefit. And I've

(03:22):
watched these mesothelioma clients of mine throughoutthe Commonwealth for two decades, like worry
about clinical trials. Do they havethe money for their prescriptions? And so
working with them and representing them hasreally given me. I think the context
of what working families need represented inthe Senate, and it's one of the

(03:44):
big reasons I felt compelled to dothis. By the way, on the
issue of testicular cancer, no canceris fun. And I have a great
friend of mine who is a coupleof years older than me, played about
twelve years in the NBA, wasan All American Basketball player first round draft
choice, and he, as avery young man, had that same fate,

(04:06):
but he went on to play twelveyears in the NBA and none the
worse for where So I'm sure youare doing very well in that regard,
and I congratulate you on that. You also served in the US Marines,
and I think we could use afew more Marines in the US Senate.

(04:27):
Tell us about that term of service. Well, sometimes was very proud of
because I know my mother wanted mewhen I was a high school dropout,
dance for the first three and ahalf months, like everyone in my family,
all my siblings, because of theneighborhood we lived in, and my
mother thought that I would do whatmy brother and others did, which was

(04:49):
work until seventeen, and then shewould sign the papers and we would enlist
in the military, and that wouldbe our ticket out of that environment.
I want to do that and Iworked my way through high school from a
private school, a timey school outsidethe suburb of Detroit, and I made
my way to college and law schoolat Newland School of Lawn Boston. Lived

(05:12):
in Roxbury and West East Boston andMalden, and believed or not, I
felt compelled. I was so proudthat I really was the American dream.
I went from that kind of impoverishedenvironment to going to be a licensed attorney,
and I kind of got overcame overwhelmedby it. I ended up joining
the Marine Corps in between my secondand third year law school. In fact,

(05:36):
something I'm proud of Dan, whichis I couldn't afford Harvard, but
I beat out Harvard and BC andBU and Suffolk Law stud and I was
selected to represent the Commonwealth for thenineteen ninety four Judge Advocate law contract.
Spent seven and a half years ofactive duty in the Marines, was a

(05:57):
federal prosecutor, a special assistant, this attorney, and it was the best,
you know, the best experience ofmy life. And it's something I'm
very proud of. Okay, thatis a great introduction. I know that
we went over some of that thelast time, and I think it's important
for people to understand where these candidatescome from, and that is a resume

(06:19):
that anyone would be extraordinarily proud ofa number of different levels. What I
want to do is going to givethe phone number and get as many folks
as possible if they want to aska question, give you a word of
support, and if you can locatethat event tomorrow with your scheduler or whomever,
we could say okay to me,Okay, I'm sorry, Dan,

(06:42):
but I got and I apologize tomy good friend Ray Jennings. It's his
spot. It's the Union brew Houseat five point fifty Washington Street in Weymouth
tomorrow at six pm. And okay, well, let's le me this Union
brew House. Let's slow it downhere, Union brew House. What's the
address, five fifty Washington Street.Okay, Washington. That easy. And
in Braintree you said a Weymouth. You said Weymouth, right, Weymouth,

(07:05):
Weymouth. Okay, good. Andit's open to folks who want if they're
not current volunteers, open, Iassume to future volunteers. Absolutely, the
more than figure this movement we're having. I figured, all right, John,
hold on, give these numbers, and then we'll take a quick break
and be right back with John Deeton. We'll go right to phone call six

(07:25):
one seven, two ten thirty, six one seven, nine, ten thirty.
Coming right back on night Side. Now back to Dan ray Line from
the Window World night Side Studios onw b Z News Radio. My guest
is John Daton. John, you'reone of three Republican candidates who who will
face off in a September primary.Uh we at some point, well,

(07:48):
we've had one of the other candidateson and I found out about a third
candidate today. Is that the Republicanfield three of you at this point,
that that submitted enough UH signatures toqualify to be in the ballot. Yes,
that's there's three of us on theballot. Okay, let's go to
phone calls. We will start itoff with Maurice in Metapean. Maurice,

(08:11):
you first this hour on nights Sidewith John Deaton. What's your comment to
question Maurice? Hey, thanks Dan, John, thanks for coming on again.
Listen. You know you just sendyou a little spiel there that you
lived in Roxbury. So I gota question for you. What do you
make of the state shut it down? The Roxbury Rec Center and putting all
these illegals in there. I mean, they're they're just putting the needs of

(08:35):
these illegal immigrants over over. Imean, that's just it's citizens. I'm
not too happy with the state. Not too happy, Mari heal and what
are you making as John? Thankyou, Maurice, thank you for the
question. Listen, it was thatevent that happened that I told my campaign
we're going to the border, We'regoing to the southern border, and no,

(08:58):
Dan, we're going to talk aboutit because of my personal reaction to
that. You see, I amfrom that kind of environment. I grew
up in one of the worst sectionsof Detroit. And you know when they
give away when they bring in themigrants, they don't send them, you
know, to Wesley, they don'tsend them to Cambridge. Right. They
take one of the few amenities thatthese poor kids have. And let me

(09:22):
tell you, Dan, you know, the last thing you want one of
these kids in that environment to beis idle. You need to have the
distraction of sporting events in some placeto go that is safe. Otherwise,
if you're idle in that environment, you know, you give into temptation.
We're talking about fourteen fifteen, sixteenseventeen year old boys. I was one
of them. I noticed the firstthree and a half months that I you

(09:46):
know, with a high school dropofeffectively trust me, there were temptations you
know, made and you it crossesyour mind. And so it's something that
touched me deeply. And that's whyI went to the border because we have
to solve this problem. Massage Useis now a border state. I call
it ground zero in the illegal immigrationproblem. Well, we were the only
open sanctuary state. And now Ithink that in some places in Massachusetts they

(10:13):
are no longer calling these folks illegals. They're no longer even calling them migrants.
They're calling them newcomers. I mean, like the euphemisms are incredible.
So what last night we had VictorAvila on. He's a former member of
ICE, worked for twenty years. He and his partner, well his partner
was killed, he was almost killedin an ambush in Mexico. And his

(10:39):
view of the border is probably similarto mine, and that is that it
is wide open. And I don'tsee much in what President Biden suggests that
he was going to try to doyesterday, it's going to make much of
a difference. What's your take onspecifically on what the President announced yesterday,
and also what's your perspective on theborder. Well, listen, Like I
said, I went to the border, and I was amazed. Twenty five

(11:01):
years ago, I actually as thespecial assistant US Attorney and as the chief
prosecutor for the base, I wasinvolved in trying to stop the distribution of
drugs through the Yuma Crossing they callit, you know, because young Marines
were being used as mules and others. And so I was shocked that how

(11:24):
much worse it is today than itwas twenty five years ago. And just
to share with you, Dan,I learned that fifty percent of the sentinel
that is arriving in Massachusetts is comingfrom that single place. And when you
count getaways, we're at twelve million, all right. When you count getaways

(11:45):
that have crossed, these are undocumented, unknown individuals. And just in the
Yuma Crossing, there were fifteen nationsthat are state sponsored terras, nations where
people have come across and been captured. And the security people, the border
patrol supervisors told me John, that'swho we caught. We know we missed

(12:05):
many. So it is a absolutenational security crisis. I've also caught a
humanitarian crisis, Dan, because ofwhat these you know, most of these
migrants are good people. They're comingfor, you know, a better life.
I can identify with that. Butthey've been given this false promise of
these far and left you know, policies that have been allowed to create an

(12:30):
open border, and they are subjectto the worst conditions of a cartel.
And so we have to stop itfrom a humanitarian crisis as well. And
Biden's order Listen, it's temporary, that's for sure, and it's inadequate,
and it's awful late, you know. And so I think Elizabeth Warren should

(12:52):
have done what I did, goto the border see this problem. And
had she did what I did,and I think she'd have a different person
efective, because you can't walk awayfrom that and not come back and say
we've got to do something about it. Now, has she ever been to
the border, as far as youknow, I remember, prior to Joe

(13:13):
Biden being president, she went tothe border, had camera cruise and you
know, she was getting her soundbites and trying to get on all of
the TV stations. But she hersilence has been deafening during this last three
and a half years, you hearnothing from her. I'm sure nothing from

(13:33):
Biden's temporary band aid. I heardnothing from her about the closing of the
rec center of the Milana Cast RecreationCenter in Roxbury, which I know now
is going to suppose to reopen bySeptember. But just what harm it might
have done, God only knows.Maurice appreciate you, Carl, Thank you,
sir. Thanks Thanks John, talkto you again. Let me go

(13:56):
to Sarah in Braintree. Sarah, you were next on Nice I with John
d Republican candidate for US and goahead, Sarah, Hey Dan, Hey
John, thanks for taking my call. John, thanks for talking with me.
How are you doing? I'm doinggreat, Sara, how are you
good? I guess it's probably alot to unpack. But general question in

(14:16):
terms of since we've talked about alot of things so far, you've talked
about it on the show, whatdo you think are the most important issues
facing not only the Commonwealth, butperhaps in a broader scope the country today.
Listen, it's the most relevant question, and the greatest crisis we face

(14:37):
is a crisis of leadership. Wecan talk about the illegal immigration issue.
We could talk about the debt disasterthat we're facing where forty percent of Americans
don't have five hundred dollars in caseof emergency. We could talk about a
housing crosses crisis, inflation, opioateaddiction, foreign wars, and the world

(14:58):
slipping into chaos. But the greatestcrisis of all is a crisis of leadership
in Washington, d C. Careerpoliticians like Elizabeth Warren who do nothing but
sit back in fuel division so thatthey can stay empower this politics of division
and politics of destruction and finger pointing. It's the single greatest crisis we face.

(15:20):
It's why I signed the pledge forterm limits. If you can't effectuate
change in more than ten years, more than a decade, move over and
let someone with the skill set doit. And that's someone's me. And
I'm looking forward to solving that leadershipcrisis. Thanks John, I applaud your
efforts and I'm on board with yourposition and great great job so far.

(15:45):
Good luck over you get a goodturnout tomorrow at the fundraiser for everybody.
That's the appreciation. Thanks you appreciateit, thank you, thank you,
sir, appreciate your call let meJohn if I can. We're about a
minute away from the news, soI got to wait for the news to
the call us in the line, and you'll be upright after it. We
got Mike and Ton, Christ andWaltham, Wayne and Rosendale, ron in
Natick and we've got room for youat six one seven the only line opened.

(16:07):
There is one line at six oneseven, two, five, four,
ten thirty. My guest is JohnDeaton. He is running for the
Republican nomination to challenge the incumbent SenatorElizabeth Warren and as a three person race
in which we will have not onlyJohn, but have John's opponents on.
So fear not on that. Well, And of course we have invited Elizabeth

(16:33):
Warren to come on here. ButJohn, I'm sure you're not surprised she
has never accepted the invitation. No, she only goes to friendly places,
and you're you're a very neutral,friendly person, but she doesn't want to
face any of those kind of objectivequestions. Yeah. Well again, I've
never done a Native American blood test, but I'm I'm almost certain that I

(16:53):
have more Native American blood in methan than she does. But will I
you know, we'll we'll deal withthat time as time goes on, we'll
take a quick break. Maybe youshould take an American blood test. I
suspect you might have more because sheshe has an infinitestimal amount of Native American
blood, as I'm sure you areprobably aware. We'll be back on Nightside

(17:17):
with John Deaton, one of thethree Republicans running for the Republican nomination.
We'll talk about the primaries in September, and John Deaton has I think a
real shot at not only winning inSeptember, but I think and I know
people are going to think that I'mcrazy that even in Massachusetts, there's a
lot of people who are who aregetting weary of Elizabeth Warren's styles. You

(17:41):
a lot of protests the other dayoutside of her hope, from outside of
her home in Cambridge, from peoplewho are normally her her most loyal constituents.
So we'll see how this one worksout. Back on Nightside, right
after the News at the bottom ofthe hour, it's night Side with Yston's
News Radio. We're going to pickup the pace a little bit. We

(18:02):
got full lines, John, whichis always a good time. Let me
go to Chris and Waltham Chris,Next time, nice side with John Deaton.
Garright ahead? Yeah, Hey Dan, how you doing? A first
time caller by a long time listener, big fan of the show, and
thank you very much. You giveyou a round of applause your audience,
and you're on with John Deaton,Republican candidate for US Senate here in Massachusetts.
Go ahead, Chris, what's youcome up the question? Yeah?

(18:26):
Yeah, I just real simple question. I mean, I love your policies,
I love what you stand for,So I just want to know what's
your favorite part about being a candidate. Well, you know, it's a
it's that's a great question, andit's something that that shocks me because when
you learn my background where I grewup in the violent neighborhood, you learned
to stick to yourself, become somewhatof a loner. I've always sort of

(18:48):
had that persona and it shouldn't surpriseme. But what what it is is
people. And I know it soundscorny, but meeting people, and I
didn't realize I would appreciate it somuch, learning their stories, what they
care about, how passionate some peopleare, the diversity. I shouldn't be
surprised because I've done that in mylaw practice, getting to know you know,

(19:11):
obviously, my clients, they don'tcome to me. I sit at
their kitchen table and I talk aboutthe things that are important their life.
But that's it, man, Ican't tell you, Chris, it's they
touched me. And it's why I'mso dedicated to retiring Elizabeth Warren because what
Dan said, people, you know, there really is a chance to retire
her, and I plan to doit absolutely. That's awesome. I'm so

(19:36):
glad you're enjoying it. And Dan, thanks for having me on. I
got to say, you're way nicerthan those guys on Feld and Mad,
So thank you. And that's whatcampaigned mister Dton. Well, Chris,
thank you, appreciate it. Ihope you become a regular listener and don't
hesitate the call. Well you agreeto disagree with me, because what we're
trying to do here tonight is generateand every night generate civil discourse between people,

(20:00):
people who agree and people who disagree. So simple as that, that's
what the show is all about. Thanks Chris, thank you, good night.
Let's go next to We're gonna go, let me go to Wayne in
Roslindale, right in the heart ofthe city. Wayne you next on Nice
I with Republican Senate candidate John Deaton, Go ahead, Wayne, Hey Hawaii,
Dan love you. Show is alwaysmy friend. Thanks for having me
and John. Thank you sir forrunning like when I'm hearing so far.

(20:25):
Appreciate your service as well to ourcountry, my friend. Thank you sure
so. Obviously, I've been livingin the Roslindale neighborhood of Boston my whole
entire life, and I've never beenmore concerned about where we are right now,
my neighbors and I and John andDan. As you know, and
a lot of people know, oneof the primary opponents in this race endorsed

(20:48):
this mayor of Boston, Michelle wouBack a few years ago when she was
running for mayor, and not tomention, she was a protege of Senator
Warren and that recently came to lightto a member of us here in the
city and throughout the commonwealth that shefilled out that uh, what they call
progressive Massachusetts Survey questionnaire, whatever youwant to call it, she answered.

(21:11):
She she supports a number of thingsthat Rachel Rawlins supporter. Rachel used to
be the Suffoltarney DA and she wasthe disgrace state US Attorney for Massachusetts and
that do not prosecute lit for crimes. Yeah, things like larceny and break
and entering, and these are thingsthat were put on and do not prosecute,
but stolen property, driving with suspendedlicense. You know what? It

(21:34):
makes all the way to be tobe a US attorney and to be moved
out of that position, as shewas so unceremoniously moved out of that position.
And I thought that when she ranand with that list of crimes she
wasn't going to prosecute as US attorneyrather as district attorney. It was like
why run for office? So whowho endorsed her in this in this race?

(21:57):
Are you suggesting one of the Republicansendorsement? Well, we will filled
out the survey and the questionnaire thatsupports these type of things that rond sports.
I'm just curious what John is isdepending on this and sort of the
that do not prosecuting of all thesecrimes that should obviously be prosecuted. Okay,
I just want to make sure.Did you suggest that there was a
one of John's opponents had endorsed eitherElizabeth Warren, or or Rachel Rollins or

(22:25):
mayor wuh yes, mayor wu.That's that's the public record, But I
do want to hear what John afteraddressed that. Go ahead, John,
Well, listen, I have areal world experience in this. I told
you earlier that I'm a special assistant. I was a former possessed special assistant
the United States Attorney. I wasthe chief prosecutor for the entire military base,

(22:47):
and I prosecuted people who committed larcenyand breaking and entering and other crimes.
And listen, one of the primaryjobs of an elected leader in this
country and in the Commonwealth is tokeep us in the public safe. So
of course we should prosecute people whocommit crimes. We are a nation of

(23:07):
laws, and those laws must beenforced. That doesn't mean that we can't
have compassion. That doesn't mean thatwe can't believe in rehabilitation and second chances.
After you hold the people accountable.People need to feel safe in their
home, they need to feel safeon Newberry Street, and you know that's
what we have to do. SoI can't believe that any person running for

(23:30):
a district attorney or a mayor, which suggests such nonsense. Do we want
to live in a society where there'sno punishment for people committing crimes? I
don't. I have a five yearold daughter. I certainly don't want her
living in that society. I agreewith you, John, Thanks so much,
and yeah, appreciate it, guys, But Warren protege Michelle wou it's

(23:52):
all you need to know. I'msold. Thank you, John, all
the best, my friend. Rightnext up, Ron and Natick get out
to the suburbs. Drawn next onNightside with John Deeton Republican Kennedy for US
Senate. Go ahead, Ron,Hey, Dan, thanks for having me
on, and John, I appreciateyou taking questions. Of course, I
wanted to know what you thought ofElizabeth Warren's anti Israel rhetoric. I saw

(24:18):
she said Israel is committing a genocide, and she was supposed to speak at
a pro Palestine forum where the speakersand sponsors were hamas terrorist sympathizers. I
wanted to get your thoughts on that. Well, Ron, thanks for the
question. Let me be clear.I think it's a disgrace. I think
sinner Elizabeth Warren. She'ld be ashamedof herself. She has equated Hamas and

(24:44):
Israel right now. Hamas attacked Israelin October seventh. It was an act
of genocide. Women were raped andmurdered, babies were burned alive. And
the Charter of Hamas is the depthof every Jew and the destruction and annihilation
of Israel. And Elizabeth Warren isout there equating what Israel did to defend
themselves with Hamas. And let metell you, I am a former judge

(25:08):
Advocate General of the United States MarineCorps. I've been trained on rules of
engagement. And she's wrong. She'swrong morally, she's wrong ethically, and
she's dead wrong legally. And Ilook forward to debating her on this issue.
All right, Thanks John, Iwish you all the best. I

(25:29):
think you've got my vote. Well, I appreciate it. Thank you what
you call I love the clarity ofyour positions. I think that's so important.
We're going to get one more inhere before the break. The only
lines that are open right now aresix, one, seven thirty. Going
to go next to Mike in Taunton, Massachusetts. Mike, you are next
on nice that with John Deaton,Republican candidate for the US Senate. Hey,

(25:52):
Dan, thanks for having me,John, thanks for coming on the
show. I like what I've heardso far. Unfortunately, I don't think
I'm gonna be able to make itto the event tomorrow in Waymouth. So
how can I sort of get intouch with you to get involved, you
know here here in Taunton and thenthe local city and area surrounding well,

(26:18):
you know, the best way tospread campaign comes down to three things.
It comes down to money, message, it will work, ethic. Elizabeth
Warren will never outwork me. Themessage is on point. Hell, she's
helping create the message every day withher failed far left policies like even going
against President Biden, causing people youknow, to protest her within the Democratic

(26:40):
Party. So it all comes downto money and whether or not I can
get the message out. And sopeople can go to John deatonfsenate dot com
and donate and you can contact acampaign. If you can't donate, trust
me, we'll be We'll put youto work knocking on doors and doing anything
else that you're willing to do.Because Dan is right there is this year

(27:00):
is different and I'm telling you I'mtalking to these voters and even Democrats have
had enough for her, and that'swhat I hear. I hear enough is
enough. Elizabeth Warren had her chance. Maybe she had good intentions twelve years
ago, but today she is partof the broken system and people are ready
for a change. And I wouldlove to have you on the team to

(27:22):
help me make that change. AllRight, you got it, Mike great,
all rank you. We'll give allof the websites that are necessary.
We'll be back on Nightside. Wrapup the final segment here with John Deaton.
Johnny got a lot of support heretonight. Let's keep rolling, moving
back on Nightside right after this. Now back to Dan Ray live from the
Window World Nightside Studios on WBZ NewsRadio. Okay, we're going to try

(27:47):
to get everybody in here. Somepeople have been waiting quite a long time.
Let me go next to Paul andKingston. You Paul, you next
on Nightside with John Daton, candidatefor the US Senator Republican. Go right
to hit Paul. If Paul's notready, we'll move on. Put Paul
on hold. Welcome back to Paulin the moment. Let me go to
Harvey Silverglade, who was called in. Harvey, you are next on Ninsiger,
right, in Harvey a very briefcomment about Elizabeth Warren and I before

(28:11):
I started, I just want tosay, is it's a comment about college
professors running for public office. Ihave a lot of friends, as you're
saying it was, one of mybest friends are college professors. So I
have nothing against academics, but Ido have something against Elizabeth Warren. And
she reminds me of the famous quipby Governor Huey Long of Louisiana, who

(28:34):
constantly had feuds with the professors atthe Louisiana University. He said, I
would rather rely on the first tenpeople I would pick out of the phone
book than any of those pointy headsup at the university. I think Bill

(29:00):
Buckley said something like similar to thattoo, that he'd rather be tried by
the first twelve people in the telephonebooks. Brilliant as he was, he
probably crimped it off of hughly Long. Well, he appropriated it. He
appropriated how we wouldn't say that hestole it. You know what I'm saying,
Go ahead, right, he appropriatedanyway, So she kind of reminds

(29:26):
me of that, you know,and I don't follow everything. I don't
know everything. Howie Carr says, but he keeps referring to her as a
fake Indian, and you have toadmit that it was pretty low of her
to use her Indian blood in orderto try to get into the Harvard's faculty
as an affirmative action higher. Imean, she is really here. She

(29:48):
she losing Cambridge. I can't believeit. A lot of protesters outside of
her home the other day, ofpeople who normally would support her. I
don't know. We'll have to saysay hello to John eating Harvey. Harvey,
how are you doing, Harvey.Well, I'm doing okay, I'm
doing okay. He was on theother he was on the other side.
John's as a former federal prosecutor,Harvey, so he's kind of on the

(30:12):
other side of the street from whereyou've been practicing law these many years.
Yeah, that's okay, that's okay. My gripe is not about federal prosecutors.
It's about the FBI, of mydon't trust. But that's it.
That's for another program, and Ijoin you. I join you with that,
Harvey. As always, Thank youso much, my friend. We'll
talk soon, Okay, right out, Thank you, thanks, Harvey,

(30:33):
appreciate it. Let's keep rolling.Heck, got Donna in Arlington. Donna,
you were next time Nightside. Goright ahead, Hi Dan, Hi
Donn. It's a pleasure to youtonight, pleasure listening to you. I'm
one of your biggest fans, andI think everybody I know is also.
But oh, thank you, he'stoo kind. Thank you, No,

(30:56):
thank you for what you're doing. And so and I'm saying, and I
was listening to something you said awhile back and about Elizabeth Warren, the
way she acts that she seems tothink that the economy is just doing fantastic.
And I don't know, maybe I'mstumped, but I believe that,

(31:17):
like my own, that many familiesare struggling so hard with the cost of
living. My family certainly is strugglingto buy groceries, to buy gasoline,
you know. So my question isis it just me? Or do you
think that Elizabeth Warren is just totallyout of touch with everybody and everything and

(31:37):
all average people because these people weresupposedly doing well. Who are they?
I don't know any of them. How is it possible? Please comment on
that? Thank you very much.Well, Donald, listen, it's not
just you, and I want toknow who she's talking to. Is she
talks to the other career Washington elitesin DC, Because if she's talking to

(31:59):
the voter is that I'm talking toon a daily basis, she would realize
just how to touch of the averageperson. She is. But that's what
happens when these career politicians living inthe DC bubble for decades. For her,
it's over a decade. It's whywe need turnlins. Listen, you
talked about the cost of living.I already shared the forty percent of Americans
don't have five hundred bucks a caseof emergency. Do you know that cost

(32:22):
over eleven thousand dollars more per yearto maintain the same lifestyle that people regular
people had just three and a halfyears ago. That is staggering. Massachusetts
is either the second or third mostexpensive state every month. Sometimes California beats
us out. Sometimes we'd be Californiaout. That is not a statistic that

(32:44):
is favorable for regular people. Weare the one that is not one.
We're proud of housing costs. John, I want to get two more in
here. I want to get John. I hate to do this to you,
but there's two other folks, womenhanging on and going to try to
get it, get in them, get that on my Thank you Don.
Okay, thanks Don, I appreciateit. Let me go next real quickly,
Justin and Marlborough. I'm going togive you and Larry down in the

(33:07):
Cape go ahead. Justin, Hi, I just wanted to be quick.
American Halelingtons Museum, they had awonderful event that was packed a Memorial Day,
and in July they're having a restoredWorld War two planes. I think
it might be in your best interestto call them and perhaps you can set

(33:27):
up an event at that time. And it's a wonderful military history museum,
and that's I'm very very familiar withthat. But I want to get back
onto a discussion about the candidacy ofJohn Deaton. But thank you very much
for that suggestion. I might beable to go there. Okay, go
to Thanks Justin, appreciate the suggestion. Thank you, Justin, Larry down
to the Cape, Larry and DennisFort go ahead, Larry, last of

(33:49):
the hour, go ahead. Thankyou. You had my vote when I
listened to you last month at yourinterview and when you said you're a mesopheli
omar or a lawyer, my fatherdied from that. I worked with his
best since I was thirteen, SoI'm watching very foch. Sorry here's and
one of these days, if you'reback on again, I want to tell
you Elizabeth Warren never even called meback when my daughter was stuck in Afghanistan
during the nightmare as an MNGO.But anyway, here's my question. I

(34:14):
thought, if somebody wants to applyfor asylum, they have to stay on
the other side of the border untiltheir case is heard. Why is he
letting everybody across before I'll hang upand listen to your answer. The answer
is real simple. Joe Biden changedthat practice. That's what simple. Yeah,
No, you're right, Dan,Larry, thank you for the question.

(34:36):
The reality is we've had an agreementwith Mexico that asylum seekers would remain
in Mexico until their court date. And Dan, let me just share this
with your audience. One of thethings I learned when I went to the
border is that these people are givingcourt dates for twenty thirty two. So
they show up, they wait tobe picked up by border patrol, they

(35:00):
get processed and let go within thirtyhours, and they get a court date
nine years from now that's the systemthat's operating right now, and that's why
we have to shut it down. All right, John Deeton your campaign website
real quickly, John Detanforsennate dot com. John Daton d E A T O
N four Senate? Is that anumeral four or the of the the word

(35:21):
for four are John datonfor Senate dotcom? All right, and that event
tomorrow is going to be at theUnion brew House five point thirty I believe
was the time, five point fiftyone Washington Street in Waymouth. John,
we'll have you back, Please keepin touch, best of luck, Okay,
we'll talk soon. Thank you,Dan, always the pleasures to be
on your show. Right back atyou, and we will. We will

(35:42):
be speaking next hour right after thisten o'clock news about a wild meeting in
Norfolk last night about a shelter thatmay open at the old Bay State Correctional
Facility. Coming back on night side
